First of all, apologies for answering this so late. I admit I wasn’t sure about these headcanons at first, but after looking at characters I write for – I thought that I can make something fun out of this. And a little fun fact – I think I might be one of those people who can smell rain lol. Anyway enjoy! <3

Genji Shimada

☁ Genji can't really smell rain since almost all the time he has his mask on

☁ Once you say it's going to rain, Genji looks at you surprised

☁ Once you tell him that you can smell in the air, he chuckles 

☁ Then once it actually starts to rain, Genji chuckles again and apologizes

☁ Right after that, jokingly asks what other superpowers you might have

Hanzo Shimada

☁ Hanzo can't really smell rain, so he often got soaked in his life

☁ When you say it's going to rain and how confidently you say it, he looks confused and ask how you can tell

☁ He doesn't believe you at first, but after going to a shelter and sees that it starts to rain, he apologizes that he didn't believe you

☁ You play it off jokingly, because you can tell he's really serious about the apology and explain that everything is fine

Cole Cassidy

☁ I believe Cole is also the person who can smell that the rain is coming, he may even starts smelling the air before you do

☁ But as soon as he hears you sniff the air too, he looks up at you surprised 

☁ He does not argue when you say it's time to look for shelter

☁ Once everyone is safe in the shelter, Cole will ask about it and admit you surprised him, because he did not expect for you to be also able to smell rain

Ramattra 

☁ Ramattra obviously can't smell rain, but his sensors can inform him that there's a change in the air

☁ He will be surprised when he sees you sniff and says it's going to rain

☁ He knows how to kill and hurt humans, but he does not know much beyond that

☁ After finding a shelter, he asks how does human smell that and how common is it for humans be able to smell things like that

Niran Pruksamanee

☁ Niran is a plant mom, so he's almost always aware of the weather

☁ He may not be to smell the rain, but will most likely be aware before mission that it might rain

☁ Niran is confused by your conclusion, just by a few a small quick sniffs

☁ He asks if you're sure and when your answer is positive, he does does not plan on arguing and looks for shelter with you

Often when he meditates, he looses track of time. Yes, his senses are high but it’s always down when he’s with you.

He can hear how you quietly hum to yourself and hear shuffles around the room to get a better look of him.

Hanzo will hang up your painting, especially one if it’s him using his kunai, the added fire… He definitely loves being your model.

Honestly, I feel like he would prefer sketches over painting, mainly because he doesn’t want your paintings to get ruined if it was still wet.

He knows his strength and how much you love painting, so he tries to touch them with care, dry or not.

He doesn’t rant to ruin it. Even more when he sees that you painted him using his guns, he will say something cocky.

He likes to keep paintings that you gifted him in his small home, or cabin. He may suggest that he model in different ways, if you’re comfortable with it!

-Mario cart with genji & kiri can become quite competitive between the two of them. When you end up having a winning streak because genji and kiriko are trying to sabotage each other.

-deep talk does briefly happen if you guys are all on the same wavelength, especially when they talk about how harsh parts of their upbringing was with training and the fear if disappointing they’re parents.

-kiriko is the first one who is like “okay that was depressing, lets do something else” after the conversations kinda died down.

-genji brings a lot and i mean a lot of candy, he’d be down to do that candy salad trend

-when you play board games, genji can not for the life of him do charades. He almost always give too much away.

-if you guys play monopoly kiriko insist on being the banker & hanzo has the most properties. Genji for the most part has been in jail.

-kiri also made a playlist for this and brings out the fox spirit to see you. The fox gently rubbing against your leg when you sit down to pet it.

-hanzo has a blue weighted blanket that he cant sleep without, something about the weight of it plus the texture just makes him sleep better.

-kiri does have a small fox plushie and brought it for this special occasion

-when you suggest doing under eye face masks kiri is the first to agree, she puts on yours for you and you help hanzo put his on. Genji did his all by himself lol.

-deciding it would be nice to remember you guys take a photo, you with kiri in the front (shes the one taking the photo) hanzo right behind you and genji behind kiriko. Genji had to convince hanzo to be apart of the photo though, he’s not one for photos. A few photos are taken ones with peace signs, a silly one and ones with genuine smiles. Hanzo of course just remaining with a small smile for most of them

-the first one asleep is genji and kiriko drew a mustache on him with the help of you if you condone to that. Hanzo did not stop this at all.

-kiri fell asleep on your shoulder during a movie with her plushie in hand and you weren’t far behind her. Hanzo covered you both with a blanket before heading to sleep himself at around 4am

Mhm, hello! Idk where you Hanzo fans came from, but I'm enjoying reading your requests and the such :3 anyways, you're welcome !! Hope you're doing well! I'm sorry this took a bit, I was just a bit busy here lately.

Feelings would catch up to the stoic archer sooner or later; knowing that what his heart truly told him was what feel true to him—natural.

He liked—no, loved—you more than for your characterized timid nature. Hanzo would never degrade someone to just one notion of their mannerisms; their personality. He does believe that what's in the inside of a person makes them beautiful, but he could go on and on about what makes you oh-so special to him.

At first, Hanzo would rethink and doubt his crush. He knew he felt very strongly for you, and those emotions felt as if they'd burst through his seams. It seemed that his mind was plagued by his overthinking nature. Would you think that he only sought for you because of the "appeal" of being shy? Was he trying to prove to himself that he was the protective role—therefore, only thinking of such an intimate relationship as just mere status? Just how status affected him all those years back?

Many people are proclaimed "shy" in different ways. Either through their nervousness and reluctance of meeting and-slash-or interacting with others (however, that term's rather "anxiety"), or through stuttering and stammering words—overthinking, like how Hanzo was—he'd do his best to never embarrass you.

Hanzo is not one to purely view someone as just "cute" by humiliating them. Sure, the blush that'll coat your cheeks from time to time make him also flustered, he doesn't want you to ever be upset, if you do not take embarrassment very well.

He would tease you, but never about something he knew that would be too much for you. As with every other person, too—but, you were someone special to him.

Even if Hanzo wasn't a shy person, he was rather reluctant on interacting at heart. Therefore, he'd much, much rather have you hint at potentially liking him; so he doesn't disrespect any boundaries by asking you out.

I feel like the poor man would wait and wait, and if you were too shy to even remotely hint at it, he'd get flustered over the idea of having to be the one to ask you out. It takes a lotttt of convincing himself into doing such a thing, considering he is also afraid of messing everything up.

He would try his best to pick out a good spot and time for him to pop the question; not letting his impulses to randomly hint at it, or do something even more, get in the way of everything. As much as Hanzo would move to hold you in his embrace already; kissing your neck tenderly... He knew that it was way too embarrassing for his own good.

Eventually, he then settled on asking if you were free anytime soon during a conversation about his training schedule. Hanzo felt as if he should ask the question, as if it was normal and felt right—rather than having to force himself in a "romantic" environment for it to be valid. He truly did love you, no matter what the circumstances may be.

"I format my days around the times of my practicing." He would then explain, drawing an arrow from his quiver to just absentmindedly shoot at a target—bullseye. "How about you? When are you normally free?"

Just adding that last sentence made his heart beat a bit faster. As much as Hanzo does have a flirty personality, underneath his stoic nature, he feels very... wrong, if he were to flirt with someone that could either get shy or embarrassed easy. He doesn't want to break any boundaries, but he doesn't know how else he could ask if you were okay with flirting, just due to the implications.

After you filled the archer in on your schedule, the two of you then settled on a day where you two could hang out—with how he phrased it, it was rather vague, and you didn't just want to assume that your crush was really asking you out. But, unfortunately...

As the both of you were together, underneath the cherry blossoms—it began to rain. The two of you had to make due with sheltering at a local inn, as there was no time, or use, to go back home; considering the location that Hanzo picked out in particular was for a purpose, as it was secluded, private, and beautiful. Just like him, in essence.

With frantic apologies from both parties, he then just had to look around the interior of the inn room that he has rented out, just for today. He even was thinking of taking them out to a favourite restaurant of his, but, no—the weather had to ruin it. There was a nagging feeling of frustration behind him, as if he just... couldn't do anything.

As you saw that all-too familar look on his face, you tilted your head; and asked what was wrong, and if it was the weather. Hanzo would then scowl, rather at himself than anything, as he woukd then shake his head. You were already on the bed of the room, so you then patted the seat next to him; implying you wanted him closer snd level to you. He obliged.

"I... my apologies, for earlier. I feel confined in here." He'd sigh out.

You then reassure him that it's okay, and that it wasn't anyone's fault for the weather. It's not as if anyone could control it! After talking to Hanzo more about this, his gaze started to soften, as it always does whenever he chats with you, and then he now nods his head; affirming that it's okay.

"Plus, any given time with you is great! I just... eugh, that rain made me feel so cold and clammy- oh?"

Once you get those words out, Hanzo then took the leap of faith, and brought an arm around you to hold you close to him. It just felt natural, as he didn't have any words to really express his gratitude for you—relying on touch and his body language to convey it, as the words felt too heavy on his tongue. Please say what he's doing is okay, and that you understand—because you love him, too.

The Earthrealm's warriors were used to the relentless training, the brutal battles, and the life-or-death scenarios. But there was one thing they couldn't quite wrap their heads around Hanzo's newfound obsession: cupcakes.

You were lounging in the living room of your shared home, scrolling through your tablet when you heard an unusual sound coming from the kitchen. Following the curious noise, you discovered your husband furiously whisking a bowl of batter, his mask hanging by his side as if it was just another day at the bakery he doesn't work at.

"What's going on here?" you asked, trying to stifle a laugh as you watched him struggle with a mixer.

Hanzo looked up, his fiery gaze locking onto you but he looked like a dear in headlights. "I have discovered the art of cupcakes," he declared, his voice as serious as ever.

You couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Honey, you're not allowed in the kitchen but you're making cupcakes?"

"Yes," he replied, determination in his eyes. "I was bored..." He mumbled as an excuse, but just the other day you and a friend were talking about wanting cupcakes.

Scorpion continued to wrestle with the mixer as you decided to step in. Gently taking the mixer from his hands with a soft chuckle. Together, you managed to create a lumpy cupcake batter that was a mix of all sorts of ingredients he had found in the kitchen. There were sweet and savory items like ketchup, chocolate chips, and even some mysterious spices. Did you know that? Absolutely not, is that for the better? You'll find out.

With a wink, you handed Hanzo a tray of cupcake liners. "Time to get these in the oven."

He nodded, but then his gaze fell upon the oven as he frowned. "How do I make it... bake with love?" he asked, looking genuinely puzzled. Causing you to giggle in amusement, causing him to break his confused mask he put up and laugh with you.

You smiled and set the oven to the right temperature. As you popped the tray into the oven. Hanzo stepped back, his memory flooding with flashbacks to the last time he used the oven.

A few minutes later, you were both treated to the smell of something that was part chocolate chip cookie, part ketchup-flavored cupcake wafting from the oven. You couldn't help but exchange a look and burst into laughter once again.

Your husband, however, couldn't go back to being serious, he was smiling like a child. "We shall call these 'Kombat Kupcakes,' a deadly delicacy," he announced with pride.

As you both sampled the cupcakes, your taste buds were assaulted by a strange combination of flavors. They weren't the best cupcakes, but there was no denying the effort Hanzo had put into making them.

And in that moment, you couldn't help but think, "You're ridiculous, Hanzo, but I love it."

I had to search up aerial silk for this one, and I gotta say writing this was tricky. Sorry if it sucks. Reader (just like bimbo reader) is descended from a Chaosrealmer which is why she has her abilities (hypnotism, control gravity around her, time-related).

Cassie Cage

Cassie wasn't sure what to make of you being joining the team. Johnny knew you because you were an extra in one of his films, but you had to be great if you were placed with the Kombat Kids. She was pretty sceptical, what were you going to do with a long silk? It certainly wasn't a whip. And then she saw it. When you fought it was as if the world slowed down. You moved majestically, your silk was a trap, and she was trapped. To you.

Surrounded by silk, she kissed you, and you let her.

Hanzo Hasashi

Your moves looked very complicated. No matter how many times Hanzo watched you fight, it was a confusing experience. But it was the kind of confusing he was strangely fine with. Every time it was a performance rather than a moment of bloodshed. Most times you weren't fighting at all, just twisting and turning in that silk of yours. It was a new thing every time. The concept of time did not exist with you in its way, and one could not waste time wondering how that was possible.

Hanzo was glad that you were on his side, even if he was confident he could see through your silk of webs, he was not confident he could burn them, because that would mean burning you.

Fujin

Fujin is entranced to say the least. You commanded gravity itself, and floated where your enemies could see you, but your silk caught the weapons as if they could not be considered an obstacle. If Fujin did not have more than a thousand years of experience he was sure he wouldn't be able to see through your tricks.

Where did the music come from? That he could not figure out. You used his wind against him, and he was caught in your silk. He hung upside down like a butterfly stuck in a web. Fujin was much too cute to suffocate, so you joined his side of the battle.

Kitana

Kitana could remember when she first saw you. You were Shang Tsung's pupil straight from Earthrealm, but it seemed there was something else in your blood. You were a better assassin than she was. Your victims did not know what awaited them as your performance was the last thing they would see. Kitana was almost envious, not of you but of them. She too wanted to see something as beautiful if she were to die.

You were a tangle of silk, and Shang Tsung took pride in this. But Kitana was determined to make that pride become her's, and possibly something more.

There are people who tease you guys for the age gap but all in good fun (probably mostly from Genji)

It only occasionally bothers Hanzo when it makes him ponder his mortality but it’s quickly dispelled after spending some time with you

There are nights that he stays up wondering if he’s holding you back. He’s not getting any younger and has 40+ years of baggage

He eventually gets over it when he’s with you and having a good time but it does weigh on him when he sees younger happier couples

Anytime it gets serious you always have to remind him that there’s nobody else you’d rather be with

He only really lets you make those kind of jokes about him being old

When you first started pining for each other you end up making the first move

He’d be too in his head to do it

After that he makes it a habit to gift you things and invite you to spend time with him whenever he has time

His favorite pastime is holding you next to him on the couch with one of your shows playing

He loves how you ground him to the earth and constantly show him how much you care when he needs a reminder that there’s someone always in his corner

He also likes to take you on dates or really anything that would give him an excuse to see you wearing something nice

Cuddling is something he can enjoy too when he just wants some quiet

On occasion he’ll pepper in chaste kisses in places that make you shiver

Whenever you two have a serious fight he’s a little stubborn and has to take some time to himself

What gets him to apologize or forgive you is seeing how lonely his world looks without you next to him

As stoic as he is he can be incredibly romantic but dramatic too

He’d come to your door looking like a tired mess and with flowers or gift in hand

This was not requested, I just wanted to write. thanks to Pizza Morgania ( @ultimatesinger ) for the help with Juu, Yamato and Mikako.

NOTES.⠀part of an Overwatch ficlet collection I've started on ao3 :) this one's dedicated to @kakujis, the Older Brother Character enjoyer <3 I couldn't let us teehee over him too much so here's some angst to balance it out

Hanzo has faced more than his fair share of trials and tribulations in his life.

Those, however, pale in comparison to where he stands now—injured on the doorstep of someone he had selfishly abandoned years ago. It hurts his pride that he was even in this position. He knows he’s damn good with a bow and arrow. He spent years honing his skill, doing everything he could to take back the honour he lost. But it wasn’t enough to fight against a machine.

Though he could treat his injuries himself (he always does; when you are alone, all you have to turn to is yourself), these are too much for him to deal with by his lonesome. He’s not sure what hurts more. The cuts and bruises steadily marking up the skin of his torso or the emotionless stare you’re giving him. He deserves it, he supposes. He’d left you behind without so much of a letter, gone under the radar and never contacted you again. At the time he thought it was for the best. Without anything left to his name, having been stripped of all he had, he didn’t deem himself worthy of you. He was too caught up in his hurt and completely disregarded you, the one who loved him, cared for him—

“Whatever you’re thinking about, stop it,” you speak up, tone laced with impatience and remnants of anger. “Just come in.”

Hanzo tries not to wince as he follows you inside your home. It’s different from what he remembers—it feels… bleak, barely lived in. He doesn’t have the time to mull over what he’d done to you when you’re pulling him by the sleeve and urging him to sit down. He’s left by himself for a few moments as you disappear into a room before reemerging with a sleek glove in your hand.

You don’t say a word as your hand presses against his chest, a faint white-yellow glow emerging from the glove as pleasant tingles surge through his system. Without knowing it, he closes his eyes and lets himself succumb to relief, his pain and tension leaving his body with each touch.

“A friend of mine gave this to me when he visited.”

The mention of this friend has his eyes snapping open. There’s something akin to irritation—envy—stirring in his chest, but he begrudgingly lets it go. After all, what right does he have to feel possessive of you?

“I’ve been volunteering at the hospital as a nurse. They’ve been understaffed since the last Null Sector invasion.” You’re not even looking at him as you talk, instead focusing on treating him. After a glance at the holopad by your side, you withdraw and step back from him. “What are you doing here?”

“I…”

“There’s nothing for you here, Hanzo.”

His heart sinks. It constantly dawns on him how no apology will ever make up for how he left you—he’d taken a piece of your heart and broken it beyond repair.

“Instinct,” he finally says. “My heart led me here.”

You roll your eyes, an exasperated scoff leaving your lips. “Five years late?”

He knows you don’t owe him forgiveness. Hell, he knows he doesn’t deserve it. Still, seeing what used to be love in your eyes turn into resentment hurts him more than any blade ever could. The walls you’d let down for him were built back up, stronger than before, and there’s no way he can possibly get through.

“You’re still living here after Null Sector’s invasion?”

“Some of us can’t just leave things behind to go on our own,” comes your response, quick and snappy. You sigh, your tense features softening just the slightest. “I have friends and family here. I have to help where I can.”

“I… am sorry. I hope they are safe.”

“Sorry enough to help?”

Your words are hauntingly familiar, reminding him of yet another loved one he failed—the young shrine maiden who’s turned to a life of vigilantism to do what he couldn’t. He bites on the inside of his cheek, his eyes downcast. For a man who’s spent years with the most beautiful of words, all of them are lost to him under your glare. Guilt, regret, sorrow—feelings that are even more familiar swirl in his chest, drags him into the depths of the dark.

“I’ll let you stay. It’s late.” You sniffle, and his heart sinks. “But I want you gone by the morning. I don’t care where you go, just… don’t come back.” Then, in a barely audible whisper, you continue, “Please.”

All he can do is watch as you disappear into a silhouette walking down the corridor, leaving behind nothing but faint sobs in your wake. How many tears have you shed because of him? How dare he expect your forgiveness when he has done nothing to earn it? Your agreeing to help him had already been unexpected—miraculous—enough. A selfish part of him wonders if he can ever make it up to you, take away your hurt by being a better man for you.

Hanzo no longer dreams. There is nothing to wish for, nothing he will ever get back. But for you, he dreams that you’ll find it in your heart to look at him the same way you used to again. He’ll do anything to make amends and treat you better if you consider him deserving of a second chance.

For now, he’ll do as you wish and leave just like he did all those years ago. He can’t bear hurting you anymore.

⛧ He loved Halloween as a kid so he’s happy to celebrate it

⛧ Does care too much about what you two would do during that day as long as you’re together

⛧  If asked about his halloween costume his first answer always will be “My halloween costume? Cyborg ninja!”. He thinks this answer is funny, but in fact he always has a costume

⛧  He once happened not to have any ideas and asked you for help and ended up with his armored sprayed with paint (his 2021 weekly halloween skin “Skeleton” skin)

when you came out to him he wasn’t surprised at all

he made the switch right away, although still accidentally calling you his partner out of habit.

if you don’t want anyone to know about your identity just yet he’ll continue to call you his partner/spouse until you give the all clear

if someone misgenders you he’ll correct them somewhat politely.

but if they continue to do it he’ll slowly get more passive aggressive and condescending

to me, cole is a very “go with the flow” kind of person

so he’d adapt the easiest out of anyone

always preferred to call you things like “honeybun” or “pumpkin” so it’s not really a big adjustment for him anyway

that also makes it easier if you don’t want the world to know about the real you just yet

if anyone dared to harass you, all it’d take was for him to show his face to send ‘em running

since gabe is the leader of talon, he doesn’t really have time to do trivial things outside of the days he’s taken off of work for date nights.

you have to tell him that you wanted to stay at home for your date night because you wanted to tell him something important

he could tell it was something that was troubling you so he asked if you’d be comfortable telling him then

if you decide to tell him then, it would be nerve racking considering you couldn’t gauge his reaction under the mask

he asked how long you had been feeling this way and that you should have told him sooner

he’d feel bad for blindly misgendering you if you’ve been feeling this way for a while

being a terrorist and all, he’s not really able to be in public without a decent disguise so that helps if you don’t want anyone but him knowing for the time being

It was no secret the Shirai Ryu Fire Garden was warm, no hot. It was quite nice to sit outside thought, sometimes watch Hanzo train. You would watch him for hours so fascinated. You often walked the gardens admiring the view as you walked about the garden sipping some tea. The sun was going down and you were sure he had to be done training for today, heading back. As you enter he was getting ready to rest, smiling you walk over and join him. “Busy day?” You knew the answer but still wanted to ask. “Of course but i manage my time well.” He said while opening a window to let some air in.Sure the garden was hot but at night it could get rather cold. “Maybe I should join you, I think it would do me good.” You could really use the meditation.

As you both lay down you go to cuddle him but stop, remembering that physical touch can be hard for him. After everything that happened to his wife and son, you understand and you will never push him to do something he isn’t comfortable with. “Goodnight Hanzo love you.” “Love you too, night.” You were able to sleep for a few hours before waking up shivering. You would get up to close to window but you were so cold, the blanket shielding you from freezing to death.Hanzo woke up noticing that you were shaking, thinking something was wrong he asked you. “Are you ok? Did you have a bad dream?” A hint of worry in his voice. “Oh uhh no sorry Hanzo, I didn’t mean to wake you I’m just cold that’s all.” Grabbing the blanket like your life depended on it.

He turned to face you and wrapped his arms around you. Hanzo has always been warm he is Scorpion so of course he would be warmer than anyone else. “Oh are you sure? I can get up and close the window I’ll be fine I don’t want to rush you.” Wanting to make sure he knew he didn’t want to do this knowing his history but he cut you off. “Please let me warm you up, I don’t mind at all.” He hugged you tighter letting with warm travel to your body. Letting you lean into his chest and smile, finally feeling the coldness leave your body. “Thank you Hanzo what would I ever do without you.” Giggling just a little as you look up to him. He places a small kiss on the top of your head. “Freeze to death.” He adds with a grin. “But I will never let that happen, not to you.” He closes his eyes and soon after you do too.

Sure dating Scorpion had its down sides but no matter how any you would always see the light at the end of the tunnel. When you wake up he’s already gone, training. As you start to wake up you notice how warm his said of the bed is. Without second thought you scoot over to his side and almost immediately fall back sleep. It smelt like him how could you not? Little did you know he was still here, making tea for you to share. Walking back into the room he couldn’t help but smile. He made a promise to himself that he wouldn’t let you go, he wouldn’t let what happened to his family happen to you. And he knew he was succeeding. Placing down the tea he gently wakes you. “Morning did you sleep well? I’m not sure why I’m asking it sure looks like you did.”

Half sleep trying to get up you greet him and thank him for the tea. “I thought you would have been out by now? Is there is reason you’re not?” Sipping the tea a little worried. “Not at all I just wanted to spend the morning with you.” Smiling and putting down your tea you kiss him, and hold his face in your hands. “How did I get so lucky?” He always melted in your hands. “I think I’m the lucky one.” He added while holding you. “How about we head back to bed so I can keep you warm again how does that sound?” Without a word you hop back into bed and rest your head on his chest, letting him warm your heart yet again.

Hi here! Speaking as a former Hanzo fan, here are some of my headcanons for Hanzo with a shy gender neutral S/O:

Note: I’m assuming that reader here doesn’t have any abilities/combat skills

-When you and Hanzo first met, the way you speak and the way you stuttered indicated that you needed a bit help with letting out your thoughts

-He would often reciprocate your love through physical touch, always hugging you and making you feel safe.

-Pet names are mostly just "Koibito"

-He would usually ask you questions to see how comfortable you are with certain things

-But whenever he's tired, he would just hug you from behind, or hold you in bed, as if you're gonna leave him

"Koibito, do you like that?" He would ask as he caresses your neck, thigh or cheek

-He prefers having a shy S/O, the calmness and serenity you radiate would make for a good acomplice in his meditation sessions

-Dates would mostly be him taking you to quiet places at night, or sneaking to rooftops to eat some takeout together while looking at the beautiful city skyline

-He loves hearing any noise you make, may it be tiny squeaks, or mumbles or anything you say, either way he just enjoys being with your presence

-Whenever you seem stressed, he would bring a cup of hot sencha tea, alongside your favorite songs

-Give him headpats or caress his face, or maybe even a soft chaste kiss on his lips, cheeks

-Hanzo tries his best to appreciate everything you love and do so hopefully one day you could feel safe and comfortable enough with expressing your words with him

-Most nights are spent in bed, watching the TV or just enjoying each other's presence

-He would often give a soft chuckle whenever you have struggle expressing yourself, only to be followed with headpats alongside the words "Breath, take your time Koibito. I'm here for you."

-Whenever he's about to leave for a long journey, he would often grab your dominant hand and kiss it, bidding you goodbye and telling you how long he would be gone

Hanzo never thought of himself to be fatherly material. Growing up to be the heir of the Shimada clan there was no time for children got even time with his own father. There was always constant talk about arrange marriages for him and his brother. He just didn’t see a life where he’d be a good father.

That was until he met you. As radiant as the sun and gentle as light snowfall. You helped him become a better person. Never doubting him and always staying by his side. Encouraging him to interact with other Overwatch agents. And you got along great with Genji. Practically siblings the two of you were.

You are the sun and he is the moon. Complete opposites of each other. A smile was always seen on your face wherever you went. Playful and caring with everyone you met. Yet you were mature and calculating. Always alert on missions, never lazing about when duty called. You were a breath of fresh air for Hanzo. He was absolutely smitten by you.

He asked you out for tea one day. Then asked you to mediate with him. And then if you’d like to train together. From there your relationship bloomed into a romantic one. Gentle touches in public that don’t last long to make him uncomfortable in the presence of others, but still hold meaning to the two of you. And to more longer physical affection behind closed doors. Stealing kisses as you two cooked, hugging from behind in the early mornings. To more hot and heavy kisses on the neck. Hands trailing down further in the bedroom.

He never thought he’d ever have children. But here he was. Holding the small baby in his arms, cradled safely in a blanket. Eyes brimming with unshed tears he didn’t know even formed until he blinked and they fell down his cheeks. He looked over at you where you smiled at him, tears in your own eyes as you stared at Hanzo and your child with so much love. Gently, he rest his forhead on yours. “My loves.”

The following weeks were full of restless nights as you two took turns feeding. But he wasn’t annoyed. He was grateful he wasn’t annoyed. He enjoyed any moment he had with his child. Winston let them have a few months off to care for their baby. Which he was eager to relish every moment with you and your newborn.

Sometimes he had doubts that plagued his mind for days. He was scared he wasn’t doing his best. But you were there to reassure him during peaceful quiet moments in the dark of your bedroom, baby peacefully asleep in the crib.

“You’ve done amazing so far, Han.” You whispered, kissing his bare shoulder where you rest your head not that long ago. “You’re an amazing father. I know our little one loves you so much. Maybe more than me.” A giggle escaped your lips. And a smile appeared on his. “Little rascal falls asleep faster with you than with me.”

“I just do not want to disappoint you, dearest.” He sighed, grabbing a hold of your hand that rested on his knee, bringing it up to his lips, placing a kiss on the back of your hand.

“And you won’t. You’ll never disappoint me.” You kissed his cheek as you scooted closer to him. “Everything will be fine. You will be fine. As long as we’re with each other, yeah?”

Hanzo closed his eyes, smiling at your words. “Always and forever.” He mumbled cupping your face to kiss you.

Hanzo never thought he’d be a father. He never pictured himself with a loving partner and a little one running around causing havoc in their home. But he was proven wrong. And he was happy to be proven wrong.
