🤔 You guys sometimes really make me think about things I don't often have to think about LOL. I'm just gonna do the gang this time so off the top of my head:

Izm and .D are often eating sushi in my drawings and since I'm pretty sure Izm is mainly the one buying, sushi is his fave. He'll eat any type but he prefers the raw fish ones.

Whilst .D also likes sushi, it's not his fave dish. His fave dish is pasta in a red sauce (like Sugo or Arrabiata) for some reason. Nostalgia maybe?

Zeke is a meat and potatoes kind of guy, so, a nice juicy sirloin with mushroom sauce and a side of roast potatoes and veggies. (BP!Zeke is similar but he really likes pork/bacon particularly, so a pork roast for him probably).

Wei Ren's comfort foods are chicken congee, and seafood steamboat/hot pot.

Marcus' fave is his mom's chicken casserole.

Hm, that's a good question! I think, for doodling purposes, my fave is Rire mainly because Rire always looks more or less completed in black and white. My other two faves are .D and Izm - .D is a good exercise in subtle expressions whereas Izm is the complete opposite (esp with BP!Izm with that mouth).

The rest of society is pretty standard so yes there are charlatans in the world of BP lol. HOWEVER, no one would pretend to be a BP for three distinct reasons:

You need to be sanctioned to be a BP (ie they have abilities that normal people do not, like being able to perform exorcisms.)

There is no profit to be had as BPs generally don't get paid (all their living expenses are generally covered by their religion's HQ).

It's dangerous work. You'd have better luck being a bank robber.

Desmond is def a club music kind of guy XD EDMs, techno, trance, hardstyle, house, whatever - the kind of stuff you jump energetically up and down to at a club/concert/rave, he'll listen to it.

I don't put my pronouns anywhere partly because it is lowkey amusing for me to see how people perceive me online. It doesn't really matter to me, so go with your best guess lol.

You would be surprised at how much time those two hobbies can take up outside of work |D; I also like doing puzzle games (like Quordle etc), coding, going for walks/bike riding, making slightly odd food combos in normal recipes and freaking out my friends on Discord with them, and watching horror/disaster films and playthroughs of horror games.

Thanks for asking as this is a bit of a grey type area! Personally, I think that as long as this is purely for your own use and you aren't going to on-sell it in any way...then it should be ok. I'm going to categorise something like this as somewhat similar to say...people printing out my art to stick to their wall type thing. Of course, if you ended up buying a bunch and then thought oh i have so many extra I'll sell them to whoever wants them - that would be a no no.

In what capacity lol if there's something I've learned from real life it's never agree or disagree to anything without knowing specifics. Eg if you would like to use my art as a PFP on tumblr then you can if you credit it, but if you want to use my art as a face claim for your own charac then i would have to say no, etc.

It's pretty straightforward HH is a slice of life 'verse where my main characs are in an all boy's boarding school and Rire is the headmaster. It focuses on the boys shenanigans though so if you specifically like Rire you will be disappointed as he's barely in it.

what kind of music do you listen to?

i think this might be the hardest question i've ever received. because I listen to so much music… i mean, i could be listening to countless genres. Hiphop, Rap, RnB, Metal, Rock, Techno, Dark Techno, Hardstyle, Piano, Rave… i'll never be able to list them. i listen to music in almost every aspect of my life. while working, playing videogames, cooking, especially during powerlifting training, while walking outside… i even have a playlist that depends on the weather at that moment LMAO

in short… this is a very hard question. when people love listening to music too much, they fall into a bottomless pit. you can listen to the soundtrack of your favorite movie or your favorite game for thousands of hours. so it's not really possible for me to answer this question completely.

What is your favourite genre of music? Or if you don't know how to categorize the music you listen to (like me), what is your favourite song? Or band? Or album? Something like that.

ohhhhh #1 question i am categorically incapable of being normal about <3

i typically just define my favorite music as "loud" or "aggressive" or "abrasive" bc most stuff that fits those descriptors will be in my faves regardless of the genre.

a more specific answer is that there are 3 main things i've noticed that will typically make me go apeshit without fail and they are: 1. hardstyle/gabber/industrial hardcore- sorta basskick 2. sickass metal guitar shredding 3. huge dramatic grandiose orchestral

if something has 1 of these i will probably like it, if it has 2 it will be a top fave, and all 3.... well i have yet to find it yet but im sure i will Ascend. here are examples of said top fave combos.

metal+orchestral is unquestionably ruled by nightwish, but theyre not on bandcamp and i dont feel like finding other links so this one goes to the still-very-fucking-awesome runner-up, POWERWOLF

riikira and rabbitjunk hit metal+hardstyle, though it's less strictly hardstyle and more just general hardcore* electronica. if its got crazy amens its enough who cares. i put the ones that use actual kicks for the sake of illustrating the point here but these tracks are both pretty far from my faves from each lmao *hardcore referring to hardcore [edm] in this case, even though the genre these belong to is called "digital hardcore", which instead refers to hardcore [punk]. it's a mess out here. did you know theres two completely different things called doomcore where one is derived from metal and the other is derived from hardcore. and you never know which itsd going to be when you click on something in the doomcore tag. im dying squirtle

anyway on the other side of the hardstyle+metal combo is kobaryo [with his alias blaxervant], who's much more about the hardcore side of things and just has the metal as flair, but it is still: the best shit ever

there are of course many other things i love a lot, primary examples being ambient/atmospheric, folk, and anything with a lot of Texture. im not gonna get into all that but i do have an extended list of faves/recs from the last time i was asked about this and went insane abt it. it took forever to make and my actual recs are not entirely the same as my Faves so im putting it on here too.

i keep these curated to the top of my bandcamp profile so they're the first things that display there. it's a bit old by now and some have since been shuffled out, but it's still like 80% accurate.

as for the actual recs: the angel's message is there because it's my fave brand of intense and chaotic stuff and want it to kill you full force. it already has some tracks up there so im not re-linking it

this one i recommend just because i think it's really interesting and out there and i'm curious what other people think of this sort of stuff. it's also the prime example of what i mean when i talk about Textures in music.

wolfgun is an actual rec for being genuinely just really good music. probably the most objectively cool/platonically enjoyable thing in my library

their in game dynamic is weirdly soft to me? like maybe im just fully out of my mind but the way they interact *plus* the fact that they die together just.........idk to me they just have such a deep bond and i love the idea of them having a sweet little off to the side relationship within the 141 🖤

for me a lot of it is the dynamic i see in them: like the professional power imbalance is there but its just not even remotely part of their relationship. theyre on totally equal footing with each other and thats the way they love to relate to each other and it just makes me want to put them in a jar together and shake it really hard

A specialist hacker/coder for W.O.M.P.

Not originally getting into coding for a position like this, not even wanting to be hired in the first place; they originally got the skill for wanting to learn more about game development, aaand just wanting to mess with old friends who’s turned a negative leaf (Rival Gang)

The only reason he ended up associated with W.O.M.P. was from him being questioned and watched sharply from famous cyborg robo-cop: Lieutenant Gadget. Looming at night while trying to hide anonymous isn’t that great of a look..even if he’s just trying to mess around with their personal antagonist’s plans

With how long the lieutenant kept the questioner, he ended up having to give extra support in means of gaining some trust..behind the scenes, General Sir ended up fairly impressed with how much defense he was doing on the back lines (even if very vulnerable to physical damage) and suggested a placement; only reason Issac agreed was because it was good money..still fairly pissed at the team for keeping them isolated for no reason

If it weren’t for him doing that though he would’ve never gotten closer with the agency, especially gadgetinis

Just by their clothing alone, you can tell he’s a HEAVY metal/rock enthusiast. He’s the one that originally got his best friend (Percila) into his favorite shock-rock artist: Bob Walker (Rob Zombie parody lmao)

From him being metal it gives him the persona of being stern-headed, or nonchalant; in reality talking with them is just like talking to a geek-surfer boy once they’re comfortable enough. Even a bit of an embarrassed scaredy-cat at times..but even then, it’s hard for them to trust

speaking of his best friend, Percy was the first person Issac told that he was transitioning; she was extremely supportive, and he was relieved to have someone so close with anything like this

An extremely heavy thinker in the right situations, but usually rushes for most answers either in a panic, or in a matter of being impatient. Their brain is always on the move, it’s only a matter if the thinking would be messy or not depending on how he feels

A skilled inventor/mechanic slash chemical specialist for W.O.M.P

Also not originally getting into these professions for the sake of an agency; if anything, science like this was always a special interest for Percy. Keeping many mental notes of what some chemicals & machines can do & what they can’t do

She ended up associated with W.O.M.P. because of Issac, having him being absent from the two’s apartment for a good couple days only had her worried on what happened to him; making daily lookouts throughout metro from sunrise to sunset to try & get a lead..wasn’t long till she found him almost choked out from a MAD agent whilst Gadget was still suspicious; involving herself for support

She was FAR less trusting of Gadget & the agency than how Issac was, seeing they’ve kept her best friend enclosed for days without notice..buut she still tagged along on the “trusting” ride just to see what’s happen along the way. Hell, even insisting she’d get a placement in W.O.M.P. as well for extra support!!

Although it was out of spite in the beginning, growing closer with the agents made her enjoy her placement much more

Her clothing doesn’t really give it off, but she’s more of a hardstyle girl. If she’s is any kind of bar, more than likely she’s gonna recommend it. Hell, bar’s, raves, and skating rinks of any kind are some of her go-to hang out areas at best.

Very visibly she has more of an outgoing persona because of these details, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t easily get angry as well. If she’s talking with someone who’s either hurt her or her friends in the past, she’s more than likely going to be extremely bitter; even if they’ve improved on themselves..you don’t see that side of her often though

She’s disabled, being born without the lower part of her legs; always wearing metallic limb enhancers because of it, and why she’s go good at skating!..She asked from them as a kid for a challenge. This pinpoint never had Issac thinking any less of her, if anything, it’s made him proud to have a friend this physically strong

More of an easy thinker, but “thinks easily” on stuff that’s seen as ridiculously complex to someone else; only from how use she is to thinking complex. She never really panics whenever in a rush, but more than likely if there was a moment to rush she’s run straight to the guess work

As if I haven’t clarified it enough; both of them are best friends!!

They’ve been close ever since the peak of high school, inseparable now even with them living in an apartment together. They’ve always been the defender of each other, walking through their own separate experiences, discoveries, interests, etc.

Percila is more of the brawn of the two, being more physically fit from the inside out. More stable breathing, can carry heavier objects, and doesn’t become as disoriented as how Issac dose (he’s got ear & iron problems lmao)

Issac can be the brain..if you count emotional connections being something “brain” related from mentality. He can easily talk his way out of most situations from how naturally empathic he is, or hell, give himself extra defense from all his “peers”

They both bond the most with the gadgetinis!! It was originally Percila who started the friendship first from how interested on how sentient & advanced both robots seemed; Issac joining in just to see what Percy was doing overall, and bonding with the two as if he was talking with people his age

just looking at how the both act, they can almost act like mirrored opposites like the gadgetinis!! Issac being more of a Digit counterpart, and Percila more of a Fidget..but not everything is similar to the two. If anything, both Issac & Percy have traits similar enough that can mix together well, whilst the twins have traits that have them bounce & mirror

(this has the both of them bond better with the person that’d seem like their mirror counterpart..if it makes sense idk)

speaking of gadgetinis, yk the one headcanon I made with the twins unique middles? Percila was actually the one who upgraded the two!! Making Fidget a stomach took much longer for her than it was making a storage compartment for Digit, but she was patient with her materials & acid types

it’s usually Issac that takes advantage of Fidgets stomach, not backing down if he wanted to be fed or feeding by hand for the hell of it

regarding me:

most of my gifs are of victoria because I post them on my main which is primarily a lesbian blog where I prefer to keep my man-posting to a minimum. I love the whole band.

I began giffing måneskin during the rush world tour so while this blog catches up, everything from late 2023 onwards is on @softsapphicvibes.

I will not answer asks on this blog, only on my main @hotdyke-hardstyle.

regarding my tagging system:

"showcase" refers to any live performance that is not a tour or festival (usually tv show appearances).

"one-off" refers to gigs that aren't part of a specific tour, but also aren't a showcase. for example, their gig at the O2 Academy in London in 2021.

"loud kids on tour" is an era spanning most of 2022, "loud kids tour" is the name of the tour spanning from october 2022 - may 2023.

the "eras" and their timelines are decided by me.

the dates are based on when the event took place to the best of my knowledge. this is harder to figure out for things like music videos, so if I'm unsure I'll leave it as the date of release.

regarding sources:

any post that does not contain a credit is from an official source such as a news outlet or the band's social media (some smaller news sources will still be credited).

I obtain permission for all of the fan videos I use unless it's a video from a colleague or other celebrity (these are still credited).

Hello again!!! Sorry for the late response — I was abroad for a long time visiting family and I just finished my exam week today :D

First of all, I absolutely appreciate the comments and the support!!! It's nice to know that people enjoy my posts (and makes me feel like I'm not posting for nothing :P). Okay, so about your question: I personally like to think Raiden is Vietnamese but technically if I really had to headcanon, I'd headcanon him as Thai because his face model Krit McClean is Thai (love his work!!!)

It was sort of a slow progression. Before I say anything, I would like to clarify that I am Vietnamese so I base it all on my experience and therefore I am 101% bias :D

So, I kinda decided that he was Vietnamese when I was listening to Wren Evans (I absolutely love his album LOI CHOI) and i needed a playlist cover on Spotify because i made my own playlist with all the songs from LOI CHOI and some other vietnamese songs. But, before that, I based it on his rice hat because Vietnam is known for their rice hats (and many other things of course). Then, because I equally love MK11 Raiden, when I saw MK11 Raiden's friendship, I was like hey Vietnamese people really love their EDM/raves so like... it would be really funny if Raiden listens to EDM on a regular basis and considering he can do his own laser shows well he HAS to be a raver to some degree (I wouldn't put this in the story; maybe I'll add in how he listens to EDM like it's nothing for humour but this concept is just a fun thing for me). When I say Vietnamese people love EDM, they fucking love it.

A little more about me... I'm a raver (my main genres are Happy Hardcore and Euphoric Hardstyle) and I have a Japanese first name despite being Vietnamese. Most of my reasons comes from projections HAHAHA

Those are pretty much my main reasons. I probably won't specify his ethnicity in the story but for me personally, I find it humourous to imagine Raiden as some hardcore raver eating banh cuon under a massive ceiling fan. I don't think Raiden would be interested in the coffee culture that Vietnam has to offer, but he wouldn't mind frequently going out at night when it's cooler to some coffee place to eat che/sago and hang out with good friends

Momentous news, kinda.

In Spring of 2024 i was havin all sorts of anon chats with men online, most of them spicy in nature. One of the people was a 55yo guy who’d initiated the conversation from a post I wrote about feeing like I was a fake adult. I think our chats started in May, possibly early June.

In the beginning I made it clear that I wasn’t interested in him & that our interactions would be platonic. Over the course of a few months I started pushing past platonic with him & started a still predominantly anonymous D/s dynamic. Because of how a few of my other online pursuits had gone, I asked & found out that he had a wife although he did address that this was an established element in their marriage, I did not inquire further.

The chats moved from Whisper over to Snapchat. At some point around August a consensual stalking/hunting element was introduced. Him still not having seen my face or my real name. He had at this point made several offers/attempts to meet for coffee, which I refused.

Admittedly I was using him as a distraction from my obsessive crush on someone else, and possibly even as a controlled form of self harm. He would listen to my rants about dating, and typically respond with some “its-because-you’re-young” framed answer, which consistently rubbed me the wrong way.

The long & short of it, is that I had slipped out of the D/s dynamic somewhere along the way, losing the names & honorifics & directives that came with it. Today, shortly after my ceramics class we were chatting & his texts began irritating me. It could’ve been the lack of sleep (4hrs), or the hardstyle i was blasting in my headphones, but I started going through all of the chats & snaps of me that had been saved. I deleted all of them.

This wasn’t the first time I had deleted my presence from the chat. But up until this point it had been only partially so. This time I did a full clear out, and realized I felt zero remorse about it, which was also a new development.

So I said it. “i think i’m done”.

Him, “With?”

“us”

Him, “oh wow” “Why?”

“dunno”

Him, “well I’ve thoroughly enjoyed our time together”

And then it was over & gone. We’ve un-added each other and I don’t see it making a return. Never met, nearly involved for a year.
