Somebody like you (Harry Wells x reader)
Summary: You had a crush on Earth-1’s Dr. Wells, while Harry was hopelessly in love with your Earth-2 counterpart. These feelings bring you a lot closer after an inevitable conversation.
Note: part 2
Tumblr media
“You’re alive,” the sentence left Harry’s mouth before he could stop himself.
This was a different Earth, he knew there was a chance you were alive here, but he wasn’t expecting you to show up in S.T.A.R. Labs as a member of this world’s Flash’s team. He watched as a confused look emerged on your face, filled with a hint of terror he attributed to your past experience with his evil doppelgänger.
He cleared his throat, trying to shake off the overwhelming feeling that had taken control of him, then raised his hands as he watched you. “Don’t worry, I’m a different Harrison Wells, not the one you knew,” he informed you, and he was sure his voice was way softer than it was when he talked to the others.
“Can someone explain to me what is going on here?” you asked the team, completely ignoring him.
It hurt him, yes, but he kept reminding himself that you weren’t her. You were a completely different version of your Earth-2 counterpart, just like he was a different version of the Harrison Wells of this world. Still, it was hard to accept this. It was hard not to think of his version of you.
Harry listened to Barry as he told you everything you missed while you had been away, his eyes fixed on you the whole time, analyzing every little movement of yours. Your body language was different, it simply missed that vibrant energy your Earth-2 version used to have even in the most stressful situations. He couldn’t help but wonder what else was different about you.
And sure he thought about your relationship with this Wells. Had he been your mentor too? Or was there something more intimate between you? He needed answers, he simply had to know what to expect. His betrayal hurt you as well, it was clear from the moment your eyes landed on him, but he didn’t know just how bad things were.
Once Barry finished the explanation, Harry drew in a deep breath and took a hesitant step closer to you. “I just want to stop Zoom with Barry’s help and save my daughter. That’s all,” he assured you.
You continued to ignore him completely which felt like a stab in the heart. Instead of talking to him, you turned to Caitlin and Cisco for help. They assured you that he was telling the truth, that he could be trusted, and only then did you truly look at him. You were still uncertain and he couldn’t blame you for it.
Before he could try to break the ice again, you finally spoke up, this time talking directly to him. “You’d better not betray us too,” you warned him.
“I would never betray you,” he noted quietly, keeping his voice so low everyone had trouble hearing him. “No need to worry about that,” he said with a forced smile, this time talking louder.
Days passed with you avoiding being alone with him. Every time you were left alone in a room with him, you immediately fled, leaving him behind without a second thought. He wanted to talk to you, he wanted to get to know you, hell, he wanted to be around you even if that time passed in complete silence.
It took him two weeks to finally get you to talk to him. You were ready to leave the lab he usually worked in once Cisco left, but he was quick to grab your wrist and pull you back. You yanked your hand away, looking slightly offended that he tried to stop you this way. Harry raised his hands and backed away to let you breathe.
“Let’s talk,” he suggested hesitantly, watching you carefully to see if you were willing to stay. When you took a deep breath and nodded, he let out a long sigh of relief. “Why are you avoiding me? What did I do to you? Or was it my doppelgänger that hurt you?”
You remained silent. It was killing him, the only noise that filled the room coming from the fan of the laptop he was working on, but despite this he didn’t feel like rushing you. After long seconds you finally gulped and folded your hands behind your back.
“You did nothing wrong,” you assured him with a small smile that he almost missed. “Dr. Wells… He betrayed us as you know. It just hit me harder than the others, I guess.”
“Why’s that?”
“I liked him. And when I say I liked him,” you began, falling silent in the end.
But even if you didn’t finish the sentence, Harry understood what you wanted to say, so he only nodded in response. He waited to see if there was anything else you wanted to add, but you were just staring at your shoes as if you were feeling guilty all of a sudden.
Something told him it was up to him to take the lead, to keep the conversation going, so he decided to dig deeper, hoping he could get some extra information out of you. “Did the others know?” he asked you.
You put a hand on the back of your neck and let out a nervous laugh. “That I had a stupid crush on our mentor? No.”
“Did Wells know?”
“I have no idea.”
“So let me guess,” he began slowly, carefully weighing every word as he tried to get some answers out of you. “You’re avoiding me because I remind you of him.”
Without much hesitation, you simply nodded. Harry wanted to tell you he wasn’t that man, he wasn’t about to betray you too, but his instincts told him this was the perfect time to practice staying silent. He wondered how long it would take you to accept him as part of this team. Catching Zoom wasn’t the problem of the next few days sadly, so he was surely here to stay for a while.
He couldn’t help but stare at you while he waited to say what was on your mind. Because he could see you were thinking about something, hesitating whether or not to say it. At one point he flashed a supportive smile at you to make you speak up, hoping you would finally trust him enough to say whatever you wanted in his presence.
And then it happened. “Can I ask you something too?” you asked quietly.
“Go ahead.”
“I’ve noticed that you’re hitting a much kinder tone every time you talk to me. Why?”
So you noticed. With a sigh, Harry folded his arm over his chest and considered how much to tell you. After you told him about your crush on your Wells, it would be only fair if he was honest as well. But how could he talk about that? How could he talk about her death without feeling like breaking down again?
“I knew your Earth-2 counterpart,” he began eventually, already bracing himself for the worst part. “She was working for me, with me, and we were trying to handle the metahuman crisis together after the explosion. Zoom wanted to hurt me so he killed her right in front of my eyes. It was my fault and I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to forgive myself for letting that happen.”
You nodded, though you didn’t seem convinced. “Is that all?”
“You’re smart,” Harry noted with a forced smile. “I asked her out but she rejected me. I kept telling myself that it was okay, that dating an employee would have only complicated things, but I was already too lost in my feelings for her. Losing her was… I don’t even know how I could describe how I felt.”
“I’m sorry for your loss,” you said softly as you walked over to him and pulled him into a hug.
Feeling you be this close to him rang the alarm in his brain, he didn’t even know what to do at first. Your Earth-2 version had hugged him a few times when he was upset, causing him to fall deeper in love with her, but you’ve been avoiding him all along, it was too big a change all of a sudden.
You probably noticed he was getting uncomfortable because you suddenly gulped and let go of him. “I’m sorry, I just… I don’t even know what I was thinking.”
“No, it’s okay. No need to apologize,” he assured you.
It was hard. Harry had assumed things would get a lot easier once he told you the truth, once the two of you sorted things out, but he was wrong. If anything, things only got more confusing. Did this mean you would loosen up around him? Did it mean he could finally talk to you the way he wanted without you running away?
You excused yourself suddenly and left the lab before he even registered what was happening. He felt like an idiot. Shaking his head, he rushed after you and was quick to turn you around and kiss you. You didn’t resist at all, and soon he felt you wrap your arms around his neck and press your body closer to his.
Maybe it was only the element of surprise that made you give in, maybe you were thinking about this Earth’s evil Wells when he kissed you, but he couldn’t care less about the reason. He had been thinking about kissing you or your other version on his Earth for so long that now he was on cloud nine and he didn’t want to come off this high.

How Do I Look?
(Harry Wells x Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: Barry and Y/N have a gala to go to hosted by the CCPD. Y/N asks her two best friends what they think of her dress. As Cisco leaves her alone with the Earth-2 scientist, the two share a brief moment, and Harry surprises her with a trick up his sleeve
Content Warning ⚠️: Fluff, just pure Fluff and a flustered Harry

Cisco and Harry were in their shared lab, bickering over a project they were working on. Their voices began to rise , and they were both unaware of the clicking of heels heading into the lab. Y/N entered the room in an emerald green floor length gown her hair in soft curls.
Harry and Cisco did not look up from what they were working on, their argument going to a decible that hurt her ears. "Guys," she tried to say over them. Harry began to ignore Cisco's comments and placed the pencil in his mouth screwing a bolt to whay they were working on.
Fed up with continuously being ignored, she screamed, "GUYS!" The Earth-2 Scientist and engineer stopped what they were doing to see the woman in the doorway. Harry slowly removed the pencil from his mouth as Y/N walked up to them. Emerald satin from her off the shoulder gown, swishing with every step. "I swear the way you two fight someone could sneak up on you and take you away, and you would be none the wiser."
Cisco smirked, "Well, Y/N, you dress like that more often, Harry may walk away from work now and again," immediately Harry whacked him upside the head. Cisco rubbed the back of his head, "What i meant to say was, you look beautiful."
Y/N gave him a warm smile, "Thanks, Cisco, you know Barry is in a monkey suit right -"
Cisco dropped all his tools and ran out of the room as Y/N finished, "Now.." she chuckled and looked back at Harry. "Well, Cisco fled so fast I didn't get a chance to ask him to zip me up?" She averted his gaze for a brief moment,"would you mind helping me?"
Harry cleared his throat, "Not at all," he put down his tools and wiped his hands with the closest towel and stepped toward her, "Princess, in order for me to help you, you have to turn around."
Y/N felt her face warm as she turned around. "Right, sorry." She turned around, moving her hair over shoulder a cold breeze hitting her bare back.
Harry placed a hand on her hip as he eased the zipper up. The dress fully zipped. Harry took a step back a flush on his face, "All done."
Y/N turned to face him and smiled, "Thank you, Harry." She did a twirl, "How do I look?"
The grumpy scientist gave her a rare smile as she twirled to face him oncd more, "You look absolutely beautiful, Princess. Whats the occasion?"
Y/N fanned her face with her hand warmed by the compliment, "CCPD is hosting a gala tonight. I promised Barry I would go. Though now he is taking Patty and I'll be alone, at a masquerade party." She bit her lip and shrugged, "I dont plan on staying very long. Thank you again for helping." She grabbed his biceps, rose up on her toes, and kissed his cheek. With that, she gave him a wave and walked out of the room.
Harry walked to the computer and hit the intercom button, "Ramon, get down here now!"
~10 minutes later~
Barry and Y/N were about to step out of the cortex, masks in hand, to pick up Patty when Cisco comes barrelling in. Out of breath, he puts his hands on his knees, regaining his breath, "Dude, what's wrong? Barry asked, brow raised in confusion.
Cisco stood up, taking a deep breath, ignoring his best friends question to face Y/N, "Someone didn't want you to be alone tonight."
Y/N knitted her brows in confusion to see a tall figure behind Cisco walk forward. Harry stood a black mask on his face to compliment the black suit with a tie the same green as her dress around his neck. "Harrison," she whispered, she smiled wide, "but you could get caught. Why risk it?"
He walked toward her and shrugged, "The mask will conceal me for the most part, I'm not worried. Plus, there is a beautiful woman who shouldn't have to be alone at a work event. Figured she could use a friend."
Barry and Cisco smiled as Y/N took Harry's face in her hands and pulled his face to hers until their lips touched. Barry held out his hand as Cisco pulled out money to place in his hands, clearly losing a bet as the couple pulled away. "So what do you say, Y/N," Harry asked, holding out his arm, "Shall we?"
Y/N looped her arm through his and nodded, "We shall, Doc." He smiled and escorted her out of the cortex.

"Oh, look at this view! What is an angel like you doing out there in these cold and dangerous streets?"
You heard a deep, robotic voice that froze your blood. So you kept running. Sure, if you call it "running". You stumbled and walked with "fast" steps, as waking up lying on a road at such a late hour naturally panicked you. You were dizzy, about to fall, but tried to keep your balance. You had to stop and breathe every few seconds because you were so weak.
"These streets are crawling with villains. What if a mean, rough one sees you? What a bad man could do to a soft babygirl like you!"
You tried to "run" faster, but you fell. You didn't know if you tripped or just because of weakness, but you couldn't take it any longer. You couldn't get up from the ground so you lifted yourself with support from your arms. You looked around in fear, like your heart was going to pierce your chest. Who did this terrifying sound belong to? Where were you?
"Help!" You sobbed so hard. You cried so much that your calls for help were barely heard. You couldn't do anything else, you were so miserable. At that moment, a figure appeared before you. Yellow, blurry and with two red eyes. Were you dying?
The figure came ruthlessly closer and closer to you, even as you crawled backwards screaming. With an almost sadistic slowness. As if he was enjoying your vulnerable and frightened form. As if he was in no rush and enjoying your warm tears. As if listening intently to your high pitched, trembling and whimpering voice.
"Oh, my poor little girl. So scared, all helpless and confused." You were about to pass out, but he didn't seem to care. In fact, you could even say he liked it. He spread his legs wide as if he was proud of the dominance of his big body over your small, curled one and stood right in front of you. He tilted his head and listened to your pleas for a while. How you begged him not to hurt you and let you go.
Sitting down in front of you with one knee on the ground, you shielded yourself with your one arm out of self-preservation. He let out a visible dark smile and held your chin before you could resist. At that moment, his blurry vision and red eyes were gone, replaced by a rather attractive man with a devilish smile, without his mask.
"Hello, princess."
You felt a chill when you first heard his intense, real voice, which evoked strange feelings in you. You wanted to use the arm you were holding in front of you to pull him back, but you were too scared to make him mad. On the other hand, you couldn't take any more support with one arm and you were shaking but you didn't want to pull your arm down, like you could even protect yourself with it. As you were about to lose your balance, he grabbed you by the waist and placed you on his knee. He had a smile on his face as he ran his hand over your cheek. His eyes focused on your widened ones. "Oh, look at you. You're so beautiful yet so defenseless. In desperate need of protection. Your delicious, weak little body needs a hero, like me."
"No... What- Who are you? What happened to me?" Your voice was hoarse from tiredness and you cried silently. He soothed you as he stroked your hair. "Shh... It's okay, you're safe with me." He lifted you a little and whispered in your ear. "I'm a superhero"
His suspicious laugh made you shudder even more. "No- Let me g-"
"Let's go, princess." And in the blinking of an eye, he took you to a place you don't know where.

I Have Something For You (Eobard Thawne X Reader)
A/N: Helloooooo. Here's a little one-shot that didn't make it into More Than He Bargained For that I thought you would all enjoy!
---------------------------------
"I have to go out of town for a couple of days," Eobard reluctantly informed you, his expression softening as he looked down at your pouting face. "What? Why?" you protested, your eyes searching his for an explanation.
Eobard couldn't resist the charm of your pout; it made him feel guilty about leaving you. A warm smile graced his lips as he reassured you, "I have to do this thing for work, but I'll be back before you know it."
"Impossible," you countered, pressing a quick, affectionate kiss on his lips before snuggling closer to him. "I always hate when you aren't here."
He sighed, his gaze fixed on you. He wished he could freeze this moment, capture it in eternity. You and him…happy, lovers. You made the stagnant existence in this time period bearable. "Why can't you take me with you?" you asked, breaking him out of his thoughts.
"You know I can't," he replied, his voice filled with a touch of regret.
You groaned in response, not happy but acceptingly. "Alright."
A comfortable silence enveloped the room as the television droned on in the background, providing background noise with its latest stock market analysis.
"I have something for you," Eobard suddenly broke the silence, his voice infused with anticipation.
Your eyes lit up, and you sat up eagerly, a smile tugging at your lips. "Oh? What is it?"
"We have to go outside, though," he teased, pressing a tender kiss on your lips. "Meet me outside," he said, his voice carrying a hint of excitement.
You giggled as you watched him almost trip on his way to your shared bedroom, his playful smile and wink leaving you with a sense of curiosity. Grabbing your shoes, you headed outside to join him.
Eobard's house was a cozy haven, nestled alongside the lake bordering Central City. The backyard was a sight to behold, with towering, lush trees adorned with delicate jar lights. A beautiful garden with a meandering stone path guided you towards the shimmering lake. From this vantage point, you could also see the dazzling cityscape, adding to the enchantment of your little piece of heaven.
"It's beautiful."
You turned around and found Eobard standing beside you, a gentle smile playing on his lips. Your heart fluttered at the sight of him. "It is," you replied, unable to contain your joy.
"Oh, I wasn't talking about the view," he sweetly retorted, his gaze filled with affection.
You couldn't help but grin, feeling the warmth spread across your cheeks.
"Before I go, I wanted to give you something, but first, I have to ask you something," Eobard began, his voice laced with nerves.
Curiosity ignited within you. "Okay," you responded, your voice soft and filled with anticipation.
He took a deep breath, his hand trembling slightly as it ran through his hair. "Is everything okay?" you asked, concern creeping into your voice.
"Yes! Yes, I just—" he stammered, his eyes meeting yours before he finally gathered his composure. Stepping forward, his voice regained strength. "Will you marry me?"
You stood frozen, unable to process the question at first.
Did he just...?
Oh my goodness..
He just asked me to marry him
"Yes, of course!" you squealed with delight as he kissed you passionately, sealing the moment. As you pulled apart, your eyes glanced down and spotted a dazzling diamond ring with your beloved gemstone nestled in the center.
Overwhelmed with joy, you looked up at him and said, "I love you."
A radiant smile graced his face as he replied, "I love you too."

Autumn Chill (Harry Wells X Reader)

“Hey, I’m home!” called Harry.
He rushed to pull off his boots and didn’t even bother to look at his bag when it fell on the floor. He tossed his coat on the nearest chair, and spun around to double-check that the front door was definitely locked before he briskly walked away from it.
You had both been at STAR Labs all morning, but the autumn chill had seeped into the building, and Harry sent you home the moment he heard you sneeze. He wasn’t thrilled at the idea of sending you home alone. You looked so tired and cold; it took all his willpower not to bundle you up and have you sit next to him as he worked, but you deserved to fall asleep on something much more comfortable than an office chair, and there was still an enormous amount of work left for him to do. Of course, Harry ended up spending every free moment he had thinking about you.
Harry turned into the living room to find you in your pyjamas, curled up on the sofa with a file in your hands and a blanket on the floor. You met his gaze with a tinge of guilt in your eyes. After seeing the mountain of work everyone was dealing with, it didn’t feel right just to leave with unfinished files on your desk, so you had snuck a few things into your bag to work on at home. You promised everyone you would rest – and in your defence, you did take a nap – but turning your brain off work mode seemed too much of a struggle. The look Harry gave you was the perfect mix of disappointment and worry to make you close the file you were holding.
“Before you say anything,” you started, “I took a nap with that blanket, and I woke up way too hot, so it had to go.”
Harry raised a brow. “On the floor?”
“... Yes.”
Harry made his way over to you, perching on the edge of the coffee table next to the pile of work you had yet to touch. He gently pulled the file from your hands, taking a mental note of how cold your fingers were, and placed it beside him. Now that Harry was sitting next to it, the amount of work you had brought home looked ridiculous for a sick person to be tackling. You watched as Harry stretched down and scoop up the blanket, fidgeting with it as he thought about what to do with you.
“I hate being ill,” you muttered to yourself.
Harry hated seeing you so unhappy and not being able to fix everything for you immediately. He wrapped the blanket around your shoulders so he could pull you close enough to kiss your forehead.
“Oh love, you’re freezing.”
You dropped your head onto his shoulder and grumbled; you really did have a lot of work left to do, and it was a lot easier to pretend you weren’t ill when you were alone. Harry’s hand stroked your hair before moving down to rub circles on your back. He heard you wheezing and sighed.
“Come on–” to your dissatisfaction, Harry pulled away to look you in your puffy eyes “–you’ll feel better when you’re resting in bed.”
The room was a lot colder without his arms around you, and your head rocked, threatening you with nausea as you moved to look up at him. Suddenly, the idea of returning to work felt like torture.
You mumbled in agreement and shakily got to your feet, grasping the blanket around you with one of your hands. All it took was one step and your head span. The floor felt like it was moving to the bedroom without you, and you desperately waved your free hand around until it found Harry’s shoulder. He rushed to his feet to steady you.
“Let’s take it slow,” said Harry, keeping a firm hand on your arm and one on your back.
After what felt like an eternity of shuffling, you finally made it to the bedroom. As soon as you sat in bed, Harry tucked you into the duvet, and then the blanket, and as much as it made you laugh, you had to physically stop him from making a pile on top of you. Once he saw that you were comfortable, he turned to leave.
“Probably for the best,” you said, “I don’t want to get you ill too.”
Harry stopped at the doorway and looked over to you. “I’m not leaving you alone like that.”
“Harry–”
“I don’t get sick, I’ll be fine.”
Before you could argue with how silly of a statement that was, Harry disappeared. A few minutes passed before he returned with painkillers, a bottle of water, and a mug of hot tea. He carefully placed the drinks and painkillers on the side table next to you, and grabbed the corner of the duvet.
“Move up,” he said plainly.
“I’m dead serious about getting you ill.”
“I’ve looked after Jesse every single time she’s been ill in her entire life, I’ve never once caught anything from her.” He could see the doubt in your tired face. “Sweetheart, I’ll be fine. Move over.”
Begrudgingly, you shuffled over and let Harry climb in next to you. You hated to admit it, but you felt so much better as soon as Harry’s arms were all around you again. He leaned you up against his side so you could breathe better and then wasted no time covering the top of your head in kisses.
You looked up to Harry and smiled. “Thank you for taking care of me. I love you so much.”
Harry grinned and gave you a squeeze. “I love you too.”

I'm Yours
Warnings: None really, maybe a little implied grown-up time ;P Besides that, it’s just fluffy fluff.
Pairing: Harry Wells x Reader
Word count: 1.2K+
A/N: So this is my first posting in what, 4 years? Has it really been that long? Not only that, I also decided to do it with a fandom I have not written for before. I fell into a Flash hole about a few months ago, and I have taken a particular liking to Earth 2 Harry Wells. So consider this as me hopefully coming back, and hopefully having made something cute for y’all. All mistakes are my own!
It's based on I'm Yours by Jason Mraz - was hearing it one day in my car and thought it would be cute! Also I don't own the GIF's, one I found on google and one here <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were walking through the cortex, thinking about how you were going to steal the projector Cisco was hiding in STAR labs. A big smile spread on your face as you skipped down the hall. Cisco rarely let anyone borrow it, not even you, his best friend. He loved how you were both movie dorks, but he protected it with his life if he had to. Hence you were now sneaking in to steal it for the marathon weekend you were having with yourself.
You turned towards his workshop, his little lab, or not so much his own anymore. There was a certain Earth 2 scientist that had occupied it. Now wasn’t any different than usual. Harry was sitting in the lab tinkering away at some sort of tech in front of him. You weren’t the engineer or the smart one as your best friend, so you never understood what he and Harry worked on together. Or what they were always bickering about.
You leaned yourself on the doorframe into the lab as you studied him for a bit. His long fingers worked away, tweezing some cords together as he tried applying power to it again. Harry only earned some sputtering from the tech and groaned out in frustration.
“Goddamit how hard can it be?!” He yelled out while tossing the screwdriver across the room. You huffed out a small laugh as you shook your head as the older man in front of you acted like a child who didn’t get his way. You had always liked Harry, you were pretty sure the entire team knew, except for him. The way his outside was so hard, when in fact you knew that Harry’s heart was big and cared a lot for all of you here. He would never say it, but you knew. You two had many small moments together where you turned his frown upside down like only Jesse could. It was one of your assets for the team. Keep Harry from throwing everything around and make him a little bit more easy-going.
“Ya know, maybe you just need a break,” You said while walking into the room, haven gotten a great idea, if you had to say so yourself. “Y/N, what are you doing here?” He asked while turning towards you for a brief moment, only to return his attention to the project in front of him; “Also no, I don’t need to take a break,” he grumbled as he started to tinker away again.
Meanwhile, you had found your phone, this was also one of the things Cisco loved about you, as you found a song to play. “To answer your question, I came to steal Cisco’s projector, but now I think I have a better idea of how to spend my time,” you mused as you closed in on Harry you put your phone down beside him, and pushed play.
You slowly turned Harry in his chair, he looked at you like he could kill you, but all you could do was smile as you started singing.
“Well you done, done me in; you bet I felt it, I tried to be chill but you’re so hot that I melted,” you reached your hands down to Harry’s arms to pull him to stand. “Y/N, I’m not doing this. I’m busy, and you of all people should know I need to get this done,” His voice laced with annoyance and reluctance as you sang. “Well, I don’t care,” You answered while the music shortly played on its own. You forced him to stand, keeping both of your hands in his, as you slowly started to move the both of you.
“Before the cool done run out, I’ll be giving it my bestest, nothing’s going to stop me, but divine intervention, I reckon it’s again my turn to win some or learn some,” You continued as you slowly got Harry to move with you. A big smile played across your lips, your eyes twinkling in the light of the lab. You were looking into Harry’s beautiful blue eyes behind the glasses, and you swore you could see a little glimpse of enjoyment.
“See, it’s not so bad, now is it?” You joked with him earning a small groan from him, but a small smile curved at his lips. He pulled you into him, earning a small squeal from you, as you properly began to dance together.
“Well, open up your mind and see like me. Open up your plans and damn you’re free. Look into your heart and you’ll find love, love, love, love” Your voice continued to ring out as Harry spun you around. “Listen to the music of the moment, people dance and sing, we’re just one big family, and it’s our god-forsaken right to be loved, love, love, love, loved,”
You were having the best time as you were laughing and singing. Having Harry be invested in your idea, actually dancing with you, and not only that, he was smiling. Your heart felt so full. You knew he would be the death of you, with his gorgeous smile and handsome looks.
“I’ve been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror and bending over backwards just to see it clearer,” You got caught off guard when you heard Harry’s hoarse voice singing along to the song while you were still swaying to the song together. You had heard it so many times around him, that the genius apparently had learned the lyrics.
“I guess what I be saying is there ain’t no better reason to rid yourself of vanities and just go with the seasons. It’s what we aim to do, our name is our virtue. But I won’t hesitate no more, no more, it cannot wait - I’m yours,” You sang together as the song came to an end you stayed close to each other.
You looked into Harry’s mesmerizing eyes, your eyes must shimmer from all the love you felt towards him. You had your hands at his shoulders and his was around your waist. You had laughed and smiled so much during your dancing that your cheeks hurt, but you couldn’t remove the smile on your lips. Looking at Harry with a rare but equally just as big of a smile as yours, as you were breathing a little heavy after all the dancing and singing.
You thought to yourself how perfect he looked standing there. You could feel yourself getting flustered as you felt his breath on your lips. Before you could stop yourself you leaned up toward his lips. At first, he didn’t respond to it, but it didn’t take him long before his lips moved with yours. Your fingers tangled themselves in his hair, earning a little moan from him. His tongue ran across your lip and you gladly let him enter. His hands on your hips pulled you even closer to him.
As the kiss deepened and became more passionate, his hands moved down to cup your ass and without any words needing to be spoken, you jumped and wrapped your legs around his waist. He walked over to his desk and set you down on it, while his hands came to cup your face instead. You pulled apart for both of you to catch your breath, foreheads leaning on each other.
“Wow,” Was all you could muster to say, as you smiled while biting your lower lip. He gave a small chuckle from the depth of his throat. “Wow, yourself,” he gave you the biggest smile and a wink. “Maybe that break isn’t such a bad idea,” He said hoisting you up to him again, a squeal and laugh escaping your lips.

The Flash Master List | Full Master List
“That’s Y/N L/N.” Cisco announced proudly to HR. “Oh by the way. They have a crush on you.” The man leaned back against the doorway nonchalantly, nodding slowly to himself.
“What!?” HR bursted out. His jaw dropped in disbelief.
“They think you are super cute.” Cisco noticed HR’s dropped jaw and took a double take before turning towards it. “Cool it, Romeo.” He brought HR closer to him and spoke just above a whisper. “You have to go and talk to them… and I don’t mean just go up to them and start talking about random stuff. Compliment them. You got this.” Cisco stood up straight and crossed his arms over his chest.
The Wells standing in front of him still had his mouth slightly agape with awe. He closed it immediately and took a deep breath.
“I got this…” HR spoke to himself.
“Go get ‘em, tiger.” Cisco remarked as HR started strutting towards you. “I am such a great matchmaker.” Cisco applauded himself before exiting the room.
You were busy flipping through your tablet’s screen taking inventory of the items in the medbay. Caitlin made sure to give you the job of checking off all the items that were held in the room as well as taking note of those that were not. It was not such a difficult task, but you as a scientist would much rather be mixing chemicals and finding the cure for cancer!
You smiled at the thought of what you could be doing right now. Finally after finishing up a section, you turned around to walk towards the opposite side of the room only to accidentally bump into HR Wells himself.
“I am so sorry!” HR bursted out the apology faster than you could even comprehend who was in front of you.
“HR,” You said quietly, making him out. You smiled. “Don’t worry about it. What brings you over here?” You asked, still busy with your work. You tried your best not to make it obvious that you actually are excited for his presence.
“Well…” He began, messing with his own fingers and rocking on his heels. “A little breacher told me that you like me.”
You stopped what you were doing. You felt your heartbeat quicken in your chest as the words left HR’s lips. You did not bother to turn around now. A little breacher? Ah, Cisco. You caught on immediately. You knew you could not trust that man with your biggest secret. Especially when he was constantly asking you when you would finally find a partner for yourself.
“Oh really?” Was all you could muster out. Still not turning around.
“Yeah,” HR stopped messing with his hands and took a step closer to you. “Is that true?” He asked, almost too quiet for you to catch.
You turned around slowly to the man, clenching the tablet in your hands and holding it flushed against your body. You felt as though you might drop the expensive equipment from this interaction alone.
“It is.” You admitted.
The great smile that formed on HR’s face told you that he too liked you.
From the distance that you both were in, it was inevitable that you were to take a glance at his lips before flicking back up to his gaze again.
The both of you leaned into each other, HR wrapping an arm around you and pressing his lips against yours. The kiss felt as though the whole world had stopped to watch.
“It worked!” Cisco cheered.
Instantly, HR and yourself pulled away from each other. He was holding you in his arms and you both turned to the doorway. Cisco was standing there (of all people).
“What are you doing here?” You questioned. “Don’t you have work to be done.”
“Oh, come on, Y/N. I couldn’t miss this for the world!”
“Ramon, get out of here!” You were geared up to throw the tablet, still fixed in your arm.
Cisco jumped up and got out of the room fast.
You huffed and HR pulled you closer to him.
“So, where were we, love?”

Timeless Wells- Oneshot (Flash)
Tumblr media
When he’d first returned. He was ecstatic to venture the world. He’d lost so much due to the past. But he’d gotten a second chance. He told himself that he’d go back. To the very beginning. Although he could travel through time, he couldn’t alter anything. So when he first saw you working, he was determined to finally have his happily ever after.
“Dr. Wells, the CCPD is here to take your statement.”
He nodded at his employee.
“Let them in.”
The male stepped to the side, letting the detective in.
“Dr. Wells, (Y/N) Morgan. My officers are outside questioning your employees that were present when the item was stolen. Is there anything about Mr. Davis that you can tell me? Every bit of information would help.”
For a moment he just gazes at you. Basks in the light. It had been so long since he saw your face. There was a part of him that somehow knew he’d died the minute he lost you.
“Dr. Wells are you alright?” You took a step closer, inspecting him for injuries.
“Did Mr. Davies attack you?”
Harrison blinked.
“Oh, no no. I’m fine.” He gave a little laugh, running his hand down his tie.
“I apologize I just..” He paused, eyes still very much trained on you.
“You’re just so beautiful..” It was said wistfully. A bashful expression crossed your face, and he took a much needed step back.
“Sorry! Sorry that was unprofessional. You’re supposed to be helping me and I’m distracting you. There is not much more I can provide about him other than the security footage that we reviewed. I’m sorry we can’t be more helpful.” You clear your throat, sliding your hands in your pockets.
“It’s alright. If you think of anything else. Please don’t be afraid to reach out. You have my contact information.”
“Yes, if anything comes to mind I’ll be sure to call. “
For a moment, you both just stand there.
You’ve known Harrison Wells for years. The man was labeled a genius by many. He was successful, handsome and apparently not that bad of a guy. None of your paths had ever crossed until today. You never thought much of him until you stepped through that door. As a detective, gut feelings have always been an aid in your life. That’s why the second you saw him in person, it felt..strange. He kept staring at you like you’d met before, and something about his presence felt almost powerful.
He was a billionaire, so that should have been expected.
But this was different.
You gaze at him, almost trying to figure him out.
“I’ll keep an eye on him.”
It’s not like he had set off any red flags. But you needed to figure out this particular mystery. Right after you found his gear.
“Have a good day Dr. Wells.”
“Yes! You too.” He offered a charming smile, and you turned, exiting the room.
~~~~
“Detective Morgan, always good to see a friendly face.”
You grin at the CSI officer.
“Mr. Allen, how is little Nora? Is she missing her favorite aunt?”
“Always.” He laughs. He looks a little preoccupied, but you can’t help but broach the question.
“Hey Barry, can I ask you something?” He looks intrigued now. You gesture to your office, and he follows. When he closes the door, he’s invested.
“Have you made any progress on the missing tech at star labs?”
He shook his head.
“No. Thankfully all that was stolen is a supercharged battery. It’s good to power a car at most, but not much else. It’s one of the newer modifications Star Labs has been working on. The charger inside allows a car to run with the battery for days and its solar charge. So as long as there’s a signal, the vehicle can go for weeks. My guess is this thief was just trying to make a quick buck.”
You nod, pulling a pen off your desk absentmindedly as you bounce it on your leg.
Barry tilted his head at the reaction.
“Why does it feel like you’re not as concerned about this criminal?”
He’d seen through that quickly. Not that you were surprised.
“How much do you know about Harrison Wells?” You can just see the excitement rise into his eyes.
“Enough to know the man is a revolutionary genius!”
Maybe Barry was the wrong person to ask. He was obviously biased.
“I know he’s the victim, and I don’t really get the vibe that he would set up his employee to steal something like this just to make more money. He’s literally swimming in wealth just by breathing.”
“So if he’s not a suspect, why are you so suspicious?”
You bite the inside of your cheek. You briefly contemplate telling him at all. If you were being honest it would only be a matter of time before he found out. Because you were going to bring this up with Iris whenever you both had free time anyway.
“Today in the office he was acting a little weird. That’s why I thought he was possibly in on it and just trying his best to distract me.”
“Weird how? What exactly did he say?”
“He said I was beautiful.” Your eyes are narrowed like you’re trying to solve some elaborate mystery.
Barry’s expression is blank for a moment, like he’s waiting for the punchline. It never comes.
“Are you kidding me! A guy compliments you and you immediately assume he’s a criminal.”
“W-What! No I-I…It was a gut feeling!!” You defend. Barry just begins laughing, and you frown.
“If you’re not going to help you might as well leave!!”
So he does, snickering on his way out. It earns some looks from your coworkers, and you roll your eyes.
Last time you rely on Barry for help.
~~~
“Can I have one coffee please.”
The barista gives a smile, and you move to take a seat as you wait for your order to be called. Your focus diverts to your cellphone as you scroll through messages from reports.
“Detective Morgan?” Your eyes lift at the familiar voice. Just then your order is called, and he’s standing at the counter. He nods to the barista who hands him the coffee with a smile. Harrison moves over to your seat. You simply watch as he places it down.
“Thank you.”
“No problem. Would you mind if I joined you?”
“Not at all.” He pulls out a chair, and you pocket your phone.
“Unfortunately we haven’t made much progress on your case. We’ve set up some interference in case he tries to sell it within the city. But if he’s already fled, then it makes it a bit more difficult. My contacts in DC are keeping me updated. “
Harrison smiles.
“I appreciate you working so diligently on my behalf.”
“It is my job.” You point out. He’s still wearing that warm smile that sort of disarms you. Because those eyes hold something akin to adoration and you’ve literally only spoken to this man once in your life. You weren’t such a naive soul to believe in something like love at first sight.
“Detective I was actually wondering if you would like to-”
You jump when you hear the glass at the door shatter. A canister rolls in, and you immediately go into fight mode.
“Everyone get done, cover your faces!!”
Your yell echoes, and a few of them react as instructed. But others aren’t so quick. The smoke is blinding, and instinctively you reach for your gun, but the second it’s within grasp, it’s flung out of your hand. You’re struck right in the stomach, and you grunt when your body hits the floor harshly.
“Nice try.” A male voice says.
People in the area are coughing, and you try to cover your face as you search for your weapon on the floor.
“Detective!!”
Harrison is calling for you, but you're still trying to gather your wits. You're still trying to pick yourself off the floor. Someone beats you to it. You’re grabbed by the back of your hair, yanked off the floor. Your cry of pain catches Harrison’s attention. Through the smoke and chaos his eyes catch your predicament, and anger rushes through his veins. You aren’t really sure how to explain what happens next. One minute you’re fighting in jitters, the next, you witness an explosion of green particles.
Your legs land on solid ground and you gasp.
“What the hell!!”
That sounds like the voice of your assailant. Your head whips to the back, and standing there is the very criminal you all had been searching for. He’s decked down in black clothing holding your gun in his hand and it’s pointed at Harrison.
“DR. WELLS!!”
You’re startled that he isn’t begging for his life, or even trying to run. His glare is fixated on Mr. Davies, and the man pulls the trigger to your horror. The bullet however does connect. The weapon disappears in those similar green sparks. When it reappears, Harrison is holding it in his hand. The bullet hits Davies right in the knee, and he drops to the ground in a cry of pain. You’re shocked, confused, relieved? You simply gape. There’s nothing else that really can be done. None of this really makes sense. When Harrison’s gaze finally moves to you, there’s relief, and a spec of guilt. Whatever this is. He has some serious explaining to do.
~~~
“Thanks Barry.”
He pats your shoulder.”
“I’m glad you’re okay.”
After finally gathering yourself, you managed to call back up. The street you stood on was now filled with at least three police cars and an ambulance. Harrison was giving his statement to the police. At least the altered version.
You’d given him specific orders after what you witnessed.
“Don’t say a word.”
It’s somewhat of a hiss. A warning.
You sound irritated, and also scared. He understands. He also knows the only reason you aren’t letting him expose his identity is so as to avoid a panic.
Harrison says nothing, simply nods.
The story was that you were both drugged and taken to this spot. It was pretty believable considering the circumstances. As you watch him from across your view, there is so much that needs to be said. But you can’t exactly apprehend him now in front of everyone and ask how he dissolved not just his body but your own as well as the criminal’s. None of this truly makes sense. When his eyes finally find you, it’s almost like he understood.
You would be waiting for that explanation.
~Later~
The knock on your door is as expected. You place your glass down, moving to open the door. Harrison is standing on the other side with a weak smile. You step aside, and he walks in. He adjusts his glasses. A nervous tick that you’ve picked up on.
For a while there is nothing but silence.
Harrison breaks it.
“You protected me.”
You scoff.
“Do you really think anyone would believe it if you told them what happened? I was saving myself paperwork.” He offers a smile.
“So I gave you a cover. Explain it to me. How the hell did you do that!”
You have a right to yell at him. You have no idea what’s going on and it terrifies you.
“In the simplest terms, I’m a time traveler. I can go back and forth through time.” You laugh, but there is no humor in there.
“You really expect me to believe that time travel is real.”
“You saw it with your own eyes.”
“I don’t know what I saw! For all I know you could have drugged me! Maybe you’re running some kind of scheme with your buddy Davies. The only reason he came after me is because my little interference put a block in his plans. Be straight with me, you both were accomplices and you used some kind of drug on me.”
Harrison takes a step closer, and you tense.
Your head is saying that you need to be weary, on guard. Because you still can’t explain what you saw.
Your heart however, that is the part that isn’t acting the way it should. The closer he gets, the faster the wave of beats seems to echo. Except this isn’t fear.
It’s something completely different.
“You feel it too, don’t you?”
“W-What are you talking about?!”
Harrison reaches for you, and rather than run away, you just stand there. His palm lands on your cheek, and you feel like the air has been squeezed out of you.
“I thought that I consciously made the decision to be here with you, but I think time led me here. Because we’re connected. “
“I-I barely know you..”
His smile is solemn.
“I know.”
You aren’t sure why his somber words make you feel so sad. Somehow your body just reacts, and you take a step forward, gripping his suit as you kiss him earnestly. Harrison is taken by surprise. You feel the way he tenses. But the longer your lips are pressed to his, the faster he falls into sync with your movements. You back him up, and he hits a wall with a soft grunt. You wish there was some way you could explain what was happening.
Why kissing this stranger felt like absolute heaven. But it didn’t make sense.
Nothing about this situation made any sense.
Yet, for some reason, at that moment you didn't even care.
Because this somehow feels..right.
Somebody like you – part II (Harry Wells x reader)
Summary: You left the day after Harry kissed you and now he believes he chased you away. But when you return, you don’t hesitate to explain yourself.
Note: part 1 / If you want to know when I post new stuff, follow @unreliablesnakefics.
Tumblr media
Harry kissed you one time out of instinct and you fled right away. He thought you liked it too, he thought you felt the same way, but apparently you didn’t. You returned to A.R.G.U.S. where you had worked between the black hole incident and the day the team called you back soon after he arrived, and conveniently went no contact with him due to security measures there.
And now there he was, anxious and worried to death because Zoom had his daughter, and also because you were out there, out of his sight, basically served on a silver plate for the evil speedster. If he knew about you, he could easily kill this version of you as well to torture him even more than he already was.
You never explicitly told him he was the reason why you left, but he could feel that it was all because of that stupid kiss. He didn’t believe the whole “they just called me back to help with something I used to work on” excuse you came up with. It was too big a coincidence to believe. It bothered him, he blamed himself for chasing you away, but there was nothing he could do about it now.
Even after they freed Jesse, after he had entirely new things to worry about, Harry often found himself thinking about you. If you were only there to support him, to be by his side and ease the pain he felt–but you weren’t. You were hiding somewhere far from him, and on worse days he wondered which member of this little team kept in touch with you to keep you updated about whether or not he was still here.
“Look who’s back!” Harry heard Cisco’s voice from the cortex one day.
He pushed himself away from the desk he was working at to see who it was, and when he saw you standing there, he almost lost his balance with the swivel chair. It was you. It was really you standing there with that big and happy smile on your face, hugging the team as a greeting.
“How are things at A.R.G.U.S.?” Barry asked you with a laugh once he let go.
Whatever you said in response, his brain didn’t register your words. He didn’t care–he couldn’t care–when every cell in his body was ready to move towards you. All he had to do was stand up and walk over to where you stood. It wasn’t hard. Yet he couldn’t get himself to move because his brain was telling him you would only push him away, and he didn’t want his daughter and the entire team to witness that.
Yes, his ego was in the way.
Harry knew he was staring at you, but despite this he wasn’t really paying attention to what you said or did, this is why he only realized you were on the move when you were standing right in front of him. He gulped as he stood up and watched you with a nervous smile.
“Welcome back. How long will you stay?” he asked you hoarsely.
“As long as I can,” came your answer. “I’m done with that project, I have no reason to be there anymore.”
The others were watching you, he could see that over your shoulder, but it didn’t matter now. Maybe it was time to let go of his fears, maybe it was time to start an honest conversation. “Why did you leave?” Your eyes narrowed in confusion. “I kissed you and the next day you announced you were leaving. Why did you leave?”
You suddenly started laughing, almost causing him to jump from surprise. “Harry, I didn’t leave because you kissed me. If I could, I would have called you, but the A.R.G.U.S. facility I was in has very strict rules,” you told him, slowly leaning closer. “To be honest, I thought about that kiss and you quite a lot.”
“Is that so?”
“I missed your grumpy attitude,” you whispered.
“I’m not grumpy,” he defended himself, but you only shook your head with a smile. “Yeah, maybe I am, but never with you.”
It was you who reached out to pull his head down and kiss him gently on the lips, drawing a series of whistles and claps from the team in the background. He couldn’t care less about the audience when he finally had you in his arms again. Safe and happy, just the way he wanted.
He pulled away for a second to take a better look at you, appreciating the view for the millionth time since you had met here the first time. You tilted your head to the side as you watched him, probably trying to figure out why he stopped, but he only smiled at you briefly before pulling you into a tight hug and rested his chin on top of your head.
Jesse was by now deep in a conversation with Caitlin, her eyes occasionally falling on him as they talked. He knew she was probably asking about you and he couldn’t blame her. She knew your doppelgänger, and knowing how smart his girl was, she probably had her suspicions already.
“They are staring, aren’t they?” you asked quietly.
“Of course they are,” came his response that lacked the usual hint of disapproval or sarcasm. He had grown to like these people, and while he wasn’t about to call them family, they were still more than simple friends. “Ready for the questions?”
You hummed in agreement as you let go of him, but you couldn’t even turn around before Jesse arrived. Harry was a little worried that she would disapprove of this thing you two had, but he was pleasantly surprised when her lips curled into a wide grin.
“Can I talk to you, Dad?”
And with this question the pleasant surprise turned into pure terror. You didn’t seem to notice and he was honestly grateful for that. You told them you would go over to the others, so he soon found himself feeling cornered by his own daughter.
“Please tell me this is not happening only because you lost our version of her,” Jesse began in a hushed voice. “I always knew you had feelings for her, I saw how badly her death hurt you, so don’t blame me for worrying about this version being nothing more than a cheap replacement.”
“Don’t call her that,” he warned her.
“I’m sorry, that’s not what I meant. I just want to make sure you really like her for who she is here, and not for what her doppelgänger was like.”
Harry drew in a deep breath as he thought about this. She was clever and she was right, and he had never had the time to truly get to know you. Sure, he paid attention to you even when you were avoiding him, so in a way he learned a lot about you, but he wasn’t sure if you saw past the little detail that he was your old crush’s Earth-2 counterpart.
Gulping loudly, Harry looked over at you and let out a groan. “I like her for who she is,” he said, and although he wanted to finish the sentence, he decided to fall silent instead.
And this silence was louder than he assumed it would be. “You’re not sure if she likes you for who you are,” Jesse pointed out, earning a nod from him. “I can ask her.”
“Or I can keep whatever this is going on and we’ll find out along the way,” he suggested with a smile.
“That might work too,” Jesse agreed with a shrug.
You Have an Ending
H.R. Wells x Fem Curvy Reader (platonic)
Tumblr media
A/N: Read the whole story. I have left a surprise at the end. Story is inspired by real-life interaction. With a note to my fellow writers!
Summary: Reader goes to a book sigining for H.R. and gets an opportunity to share how inspiring his work is
Content Warning: Wholesome interaction, slight awkwardness, inspired by a real conversation revealed at the end
Tags: @eonash @yetanotherwells @twilightlover2007 @achromaticerebus @hunterharrisonsavitar
Standing in line with her two best friends, Y//N was electric with nerves. She had been operating on adrenaline throughout the day. When her friend told her who would be at the Writers convention. H.R. Wells, an author she had loved since he made his debut.
His rich storytelling, of crime fighting, falling in love, and the idea of family being more than blood was the perfect formula for Y/N to become a fan. It was around her 3rd reread of his debut novel that a story began formulating in her own head.
What started out as a small romance story turned into a 3 book series and characters, and suddenly, Y/N began to write and plot.
So waiting in line waiting to meet the man that was the source inspiration and having the opportunity to thank him for that was an opportunity she couldn't pass up. In a flash, she was at the front of the line where a kind older woman gave her a warm smile. "Do you want one book or the box set? And would you like it personalized?"
She smiled and picked up the debut novel, "Just the one is fine," Y/N responded, butterflies twirling in her stomach.
"I thought you wanted the box set?" Y/N's best friend retorted.
Y/N shrugged, "I changed my mind, not a big deal."
The lady at the counter shrugged the friendly grin, never leaving her lips, "He does something special with the boxset." She leans in as the trio leans in as well."He will open the boxset, sign every book, and sign the box 5 times.
Y/N's two best friends both gave her a knowing look, and with a sheepish smile, she replied, "Anyway, I can switch it out?" The woman nodded and swapped out the books, and in a brief moment, her eyes met with the infamous baby blues of H.R. Wells.
The woman whispered in his ear, and he smiled a genuine big grin and held out his hand, "Y/N, it's lovely to meet you." Y/N takes his hand and shakes it. Looking at the box set, he continues, "Did you know this is my favorite to sign? Want to guess why?"
Y/N could feel the heat rising in her cheeks as he smiled at her, "Could it be that you sign it five times."
He grabs his marker with dramatic flair, "You are absolutely correct."
As he begins signing the books, Y/N takes a deep breath. "I am a huge fan of your work, and if it wasn't for you and your amazing depiction of characters. I may not have been so inspired to start writing my own novel."
The author paused and looked back into her eyes, his face unreadable for a brief moment, causing the nerves to ricochet in her body. Only to be melted away but a warm large grin forming and his eyes twinkling. "Thank you, That is the highest compliement." He pushes the box set towards me. "How far along are you in the process?" The enthusiasm radiating off him.
Y/N scratched the back of her neck, "Bare bones, really. A rough first draft with only brief scenes."
H.R. waved his hand, "That's alright."
Y/N continued, "I do have the ending, though."
He smiled again, pressing a hand over his heart, and Y/N was truly enamored with him and with even more enthusiasm, "You have an ending!"
Y/N nodded and feeding off his electric energy, "I have an ending."
H.R. walked around the table and gave her a tight embrace, as she took in the cedar scent of his cologne and the lingering scent of coffee. "I look forward to reading your story one day." He whispered in her ear, and Y/N nearly swooned.
The pair separated and H.R. grabbed her books and handed them to her. "Bye, Y/N."
Y/N smiled and waved as she left her heart full and inspiration to write coursing through her veins.
A/N: Fin! I HOPE you liked this. As promised, this was based on my interaction of meeting Tom Cavanagh, just told in a more suitable world for H.R. though i added the hug because our java loving author would 100% hug an aspiring author. I am writing a story that was wholey inspired by SnoWells, and just being able to share that with Tom was special, and I wanted to share. Along with this:
More Than He Bargained For Part 8
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Final Part
A/N: I know I said I would post more often but I decided it was becoming a lot if I kept posting in little sections so I decided to make them a loooot longer just to move things along.
Warnings: Violence, blood mentions, injury, mild language
-----------
Eobard took a swig of water, trying to quell the anger, annoyance, and exhaustion that threatened to overwhelm him. The Earth-X situation was proving to be more of a headache than he had anticipated. The lack of patience and impulsiveness from his team was becoming a hindrance, but they were his only shot at a happy ending.
A happy ending where Barry was dead, and Eobard had you by his side. The thought brought a twisted smile to his lips, but it was short-lived as a loud beeping interrupted his thoughts.
"He's gone," the Dark Arrow announced, and Eobard tensed.
"Who? Merlyn?" he asked, unable to hide the contempt in his voice.
"The biosensor in his suit indicates his heart stopped," the Dark Arrow replied evenly, and Eobard felt a sense of resignation wash over him.
Merlyn was never strong enough to handle anything, so his demise was no surprise.
Get over it.
"He always seemed too soft to me," Eobard remarked, hoping to move past the topic and focus on the task at hand.
The room fell silent, and for a moment, Eobard thought they had moved on, but of course it was too much to hope for as the Dark Arrow spoke again.
"He died for you," he said to Overgirl with a solemn tone.
Here we go with this.
Eobard felt a wave of disgust wash over him. Merlyn's death meant nothing to him, and he couldn't understand why it would matter to anyone else.
"We will make his death worthwhile," the Dark Arrow stated with a sense of determination.
How stupid.
"That doesn't change the fact that now we're down a man," he repeated, trying to refocus the conversation on the task at hand.
Dark Arrow gave him a withering glare, clearly annoyed at the lack of respect coming from Eobard. "Keep your focus where it belongs and GET to work on locating that prism!" he growled through gritted teeth.
Oh have I hit a soft spot?
Eobard couldn't help but smile at the opportunity for confrontation. He relished the thought of punching Dark Arrow's ridiculous face. "Watch your tone," he warned, his voice laced with a dangerous edge. "Or I'll watch it for you."
Dark Arrow's anger boiled over, and he stepped forward, shoving Eobard roughly against a pillar. Eobard couldn't help but grin in satisfaction, knowing that he had hit a nerve.
This was going to be good.
"Oliver!" Overgirl called out trying to diffuse the situation, but he ignored her, focused solely on Eobard. "Did you just tell me to watch my tone?" he snarled, his eyes flashing with rage.
Eobard met his gaze without fear, his wicked smile never leaving his face. "You're angry," he said in a low voice, goading him. "And I like it."
Dark Arrow pushed him further into the pillar, his fury barely contained. "Don't you mock me!" he spat.
Eobard merely chuckled. "Then do not threaten me," he taunted. "Or have you forgotten?" He vibrated his hand menacingly. "I can end your life before you even birth your next thought."
Both men stared angrily at each other waiting for the other to move when Overgirl showed up next to them.
"Try it once," "Kara" threatened, "and I break every bone in your body."
Eobard felt his hand get crushed by Overgirl and "Oliver's" arrow was uncomfortably close to his neck.
Okay maybe not the best idea.
He rolled his eyes, "Ok, we're all a little emotional. Here what I suggest," as said feeling the arrow coming closer to his throat, "I will stop vibrating my hand," he looked at "Kara", "You will stop breaking my wrist, and you," he said exasperatedly to "Oliver", "will be 10% less brooding."
"Oliver" backed away and let his arrow fall on the floor with a clang and only then did "Kara" let go of his hand.
"We accomplish nothing by arguing," Kara stated.
Eobard was annoyed again. "It's the accomplishing nothing that has me concerned." He paused taking an annoyed breath, raising his voice, "We came here to conquer this Earth, or have you forgotten?"
"Oliver" stepped in. "Locate the prism," he paused as he saw Eobard's murderous look, "please."
That's what I thought.
"Once we have identified the location of the target I will devise a plan of attack.”
Eobard was finally in agreement as he walked out.
Time to get the party started.
------------------------------
Harry sighed, his mind heavy with thoughts of the recent encounter with you. The memory of catching you flustered replayed in his mind, intensifying the beat of his heart. Seeking a distraction, he had joined Caitlin and Jax in their work lab, hoping to shift his focus to tracking down the Nazis.
Pushing up his glasses, Harry's attention was brought back to the tool he was tinkering with as Jax shared some information. "Felicity's got her friend working on Palmer Technology's spectrometry satellites," Jax said, breaking the silence.
Why don't we just use-
Caitlin finished Harry's thought. "Okay, but what about the Waverider? I mean, a time-traveling ship must have some sort of tracking technology we can use," she suggested, her voice tinged with a hint of hope.
Harry nodded in agreement. "It would help us locate these bastards a lot faster," he remarked, his determination evident in his voice.
Jax interjected, his expression perplexed. "Well, not exactly. It's in the, uh, Stone Age," he explained, scrunching up his face.
The confusion was mirrored on both Caitlin and Harry's faces. "It's literally in the Stone Age." Jax clarified, prompting Harry to let out a frustrated sigh.
Caitlin's disappointment was visible as she spoke, "Okay, well, parallel Earth jumping is kind of Cisco's specialty," her voice trailed off.
"Unfortunately, he's too busy being unconscious right now," Harry replied gruffly, his frustration seeping into his words. "I guess we're on our own.”
Just then, Professor Stein entered the lab, and Jax's face lit up. "Oh, perfect timing, man. We're trying to find the guys from Earth-X, but we're coming up with nothing," Jax shared, hoping for a breakthrough.
However, Professor Stein's expression revealed a hint of sadness as he glanced at Caitlin and Harry. "I'm sorry, could you excuse us a moment?" he requested, his tone conveying a need for privacy.
Caught in the intrigue of the unfolding situation, Harry exchanged a curious glance with Jax before focusing his attention on the professor. Something was about to transpire, and Harry couldn't help but smile curiously.
Carelessly tossing his tool aside, he remarked, "Happily. We don't want to interrupt whatever... awkward, awkward thing-," he said with an amused expression.
Caitlin, rolling her eyes in annoyance, her voice laced with exasperation. "Come on, Harry, it's not about you," she scolded, as she dragged him away from the unfolding conversation.
Yet, Harry's curiosity lingered. "-that is," he continued, his voice trailing off as Caitlin pulled him away.
---------------------------
One sheep, two sheep, three sheep...
Sitting in the cortex with Iris, you spun in the chair as Felicity frantically tried to uncover the Nazis' hiding place. Frustrated, Iris blew out a breath and questioned, "How long until you brainiacs find these Nazis?"
Felicity, visibly exasperated and annoyed, let out a sigh. "My answer hasn't changed in the two minutes since you last asked me."
You and Iris exchanged a concerned glance, sensing something was bothering Felicity. Iris quickly apologized, sitting up straighter in her chair.
Noticing the impact of her own tone, Felicity sighed and admitted, "I'm sorry. I'm dealing with some Oliver stuff," she paused, "not 'Nazis ruined the happiest day of our life' stuff, but... stuff."
You approached Felicity, sensing her distress. Memories of your earlier conversation this morning flooded back.
"Stuff. Like you're unsure about marrying him?" you asked gently, drawing closer to Felicity.
"I thought you guys said you were good?" Iris chimed in, scooting her chair closer to Felicity.
Felicity glanced at you, her eyes reflecting the vulnerability within.
"What if I lose him? I couldn't bear it. I love him too much."
You remembered your heart-to-heart talk earlier, and instinctively spoke up for her, saying, "You don't want to jeopardize the happiness you've fought so hard to build."
Felicity nodded, tears welling up. "We're just as good as we were the last time we got engaged and I got shot. That was the beginning of the end for us."
Iris let out a sigh, struggling to fully comprehend Felicity's situation, because her own relationship with Barry seemed so perfect and secure. You, on the other hand, painfully understood the complexity of Felicity's emotions, as you longed for the same sense of security with Eobard, free from worries about him or the constraints of time that seemingly never escaped you.
"I don't want to tempt fate again," Felicity's voice cracked, "you know?"
Both you and Iris enveloped Felicity in a comforting hug. In that moment, a beeping sound emerged from the computer, drawing your attention. Huddling around the screen, you asked, puzzled, "A break-in at Dayton Optical Systems?"
Iris, seemingly weary, suggested, "I know this may sound terrible, but maybe we should let the police handle it. We need our team focused on the Nazis."
Casting her a sideways glance, you couldn't help but disagree. At this point, anything could be connected to the unwelcome visitors from Earth-X
Felicity pulled up security footage and looked up, her gaze intense. "This is the Nazis."
Sighing, you swiftly began pressing buttons on the computer. "We need to inform the others. Now."
-----------------
Eobard observed with amusement as Barry walked toward Dayton Optical Systems, reveling in the sight of his confusion and apparent stupidity in trying to piece together the puzzle.
What a moron.
"Why are the Earth-Xers targeting this place?" Barry asked Arrow and Supergirl, unaware of Eobard, Dark Arrow, and Overgirl emerging from the shadows. They stood in front of them, nodding evilly.
"Because," came Dark Arrow's distorted voice, "they had something we need."
Eobard smirked as he carried the box and stood across from the Flash, slowly setting it down. Despite being mere feet away, Barry still couldn't figure out his true identity. How stupid was he? Even with his phasing abilities, was Flash really that pathetic in not being able to recognize him?
"Whatever you stole," Arrow started menacingly.
"We're gonna need it back," Barry finished, determination in his voice.
We're gonna need it back. Eobard snorted at the Flash and his pathetic group of do-gooders.
"Your confidence is predictable," Dark Arrow said, clearly amused.
I'll say.
"You've faced some of the greatest evils known to man," Dark Arrow continued, "and you've defeated them. But if you think so highly of yourselves, that you can defeat any threat that comes your way..."
There was a delicious pause as they removed their intricate gas masks, revealing themselves to Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl.
"How do you feel about us?" Dark Arrow said to his doppelgänger, wearing an evil smirk.
To say they were shocked was an understatement. Eobard relished in the stupid look of confusion on Flash's face as he glanced uncertainly at his partners.
Arrow spoke first, his disgust evident. "This is sick."
"Do you mean looking at your reflection and seeing only weakness? I agree," Dark Arrow responded.
"Thawne?" Flash said, attempting to sound unfazed, but Eobard knew the anger boiled inside him.
"Direct from Earth-1," Eobard answered with glee. "Do you like my face?" He gestured, "I was told this was much handsomer than that stupid face of Harrison Wells."
"You're demented," Flash seethed. "I watched you die."
Eobard shook his head and laughed. "Or did you? It's time travel, Barry. So very confusing. I always seem to be saying that to you, don't I?"
It was a hypocritical statement, really. Time travel was the very thing that had brought him to you, that had saved you. Why couldn't you understand that? Everything he did was for you. But he always seemed to mess it up, unable to be careful. You made him forget everything else. But that would change. He just needed to settle things with Flash first.
"Last chance," Green Arrow growled, bringing him back to the present. "Go. Home."
"And stay there," Kara said, her tone cold and resolute.
"All of you," Barry added, his expression hardened as he stared at Eobard.
Eobard smirked at him before putting his cowl back on, fully focused on going after Barry.
Oh no, Barry. Not this time.
Unfortunately, his moment of enjoyment was cut short when Overgirl was struck by a kryptonite arrow. Dark Arrow rushed to her side and yelled at Eobard, "Get the prism out of here now!"
He paused, throwing them a look. He knew the stupid man's love would get in the way. And for a brief moment, he saw you in his arms instead of Overgirl, causing him to freeze before shaking his head to clear the distraction.
He couldn't lose his focus. Not now.
---------------------
"No! Eddie! Oh my..." You heard Iris wail, her voice filled with anguish and despair, as she ran out of the cortex. Without a second thought, you chased after her, your heart pounding in your chest. What had just happened? The world around you felt hazy and disorienting as you reached Iris, who was cradling Eddie's lifeless body, tears streaming down her face. Joe, visibly shaken, repeated in disbelief, "Eddie, what did you do? What did you do?"
A heavy silence hung in the air as you locked eyes with the Reverse Flash, Eobard, the love of your life. Anger surged through your veins, a tempest of emotions ready to be unleashed. You wanted to scream at him, to slap him, to blame him for all of this.
Barry stood nearby, a mix of confusion and shock etched on his face. His voice trembled as he asked, barely able to catch his breath, "What's happening?"
"Cisco, help me," came Eobard's distorted voice, a sickening feeling spreading within you. Deep down, you already knew the truth, the devastating reality that was unfolding before your eyes.
Cisco's voice broke through the tension, his words heavy with realization. "Eddie is his ancestor. If Eddie dies, he'll never be born, and..." His voice trailed off as the weight of the situation settled in.
"He's being erased from the timeline," you whispered, tears welling up in your eyes. The man who professed his love to you was being wiped from existence. You looked at Eobard, a mixture of sadness and disbelief in your gaze.
Why?
Why wasn't I enough?
Eobard locked eyes with you, tears glistening in your eyes as they spilled down your cheeks. The depth of his remorse was evident in his face. He desperately tried to reach out to you, but he was met your tear-filled eyes.
"I'm sorry," he said, his voice filled with regret and sorrow. The transformation on his face from Wells' features to the one you had fallen in love with only intensified your pain. "I'm so sorry."
Your legs gave way beneath you, and you collapsed to your knees, the sound of Iris screaming Eddie's name echoing in your ears.
Eddie was gone.
Eobard watched your trembling form, consumed by sobs, unable to face him, and something within him shattered. He had never wanted to inflict such heartache upon you. He realized he was the cause of your pain, your suffering. It was a burden he could never forgive himself for carrying.
Turning his gaze toward Barry, who was still in a state of shock, Eobard's eyes filled with a burning intensity. Barry would pay for this. He would pay for this irreparable pain that he had caused. Eobard vowed to find a way back, a path to end Barry's life and find a way back to you.
But for now, he would leave haunting parting words. "I've controlled your life for so long, Barry. How will you get along without me?"
------------------
Your head throbbed with a pulsating ache, each beat echoing the chaos that had consumed your life. Nazis, doppelgängers, the unsettling sight of Kara and Oliver united in marriage on Earth-X, kryptonite arrows, the looming threat of neutron bombs... It was an overwhelming torrent of events that battered your senses relentlessly.
Make it stop.
Please, make it all stop.
Amidst the chaos, Harry attempted to explain the mind-boggling vastness of the multiverse to Alex. His voice carried a weight of solemnity as he delved into the intricate web of parallel worlds and the existence of countless doppelgängers.
"There are 53 Karas out there, just as there are 53 Kryptons and 53 Earths," Harry explained, his words hanging in the air like an enigmatic puzzle waiting to be solved.
Weary and drained, you glanced up at Harry, and in that moment, your eyes met his. His comforting smile offered a flicker of comfort. He could see the fatigue etched on your face, the weariness that clung to you.
"The Thawne from our Earth is working with them," Barry said, frustrated.
Time froze, and your gaze locked onto Harry hoping that it was all a terrible misunderstanding.
No. He wouldn't... would he?
But deep down, a gnawing sense of dread whispered the truth to your heart.
You turned towards Harry, your eyes filled with a mix of desperation and disbelief. The weight of the revelation threatened to suffocate you as you heard Harry's voice. "Well, he's an idiot."
It was too much to bear, the betrayal cutting deep into your soul. Excusing yourself from the conversation, you rose from your seat. Harry instinctively moved to follow, concern etched on his face, but you shook your head, silently telling him you needed time alone.
You walked up the stairs, your footsteps heavy with the weight of confusion and frustration, until you reached the rooftop of Star Labs. The sprawling city lay below, its lights flickering like distant stars in the night sky.
Why did this have to be so complicated?
It felt like every twist and turn led to an even more twisted mess. And of all the things that could have happened, Eobard had gone and joined the freaking Nazis. Just when you thought Eobard wouldn't dare, he proved you wrong.
Leaning against the ledge, you let out a weary sigh, the sound mingling with the city's distant hum. The cool breeze caressed your face, offering a brief respite from the chaos that had consumed your thoughts. You knew that there was only one way to get answers.
And you hoped it would work.
--------------------
"Will it work?"
Eobard sighed, feeling a mix of annoyance and superiority. It was a familiar sensation, as if he were constantly surrounded by people who underestimated his intellect.
"It will, with a few adjustments and a significant power source," he replied, his tone laced with a touch of arrogance.
Overgirl stood beside him, radiating confidence and pride as she said, "My husband's on his way to handle that as we speak."
Eobard paused his tinkering with the prism, casting a quick glance at Overgirl. "Your husband has a choice to make," he warned, irritation creeping into his voice.
Overgirl let out an exasperated sigh, knowing exactly where this conversation was heading. "Me or the Reich?" she responded, her confidence unshaken.
"That's right," Eobard retorted, a hint of annoyance evident in his tone. He pointed a finger towards her, his frustration mounting. "Because we have two goals, and my worry is if we can't accomplish both, he's going to choose you," he emphasized, "over a second Earth flying under our banner."
Overgirl shook her head defiantly, her confidence unwavering. "Oliver will not abandon our mission," she declared firmly.
Oh please.
Eobard rolled his eyes, his irritation growing. "I've seen this before. In 1945, Hitler and his men were equally short-sighted," he retorted, his voice laced with annoyance.
"Hitler was driven by passion and childish need. Oliver," Overgirl's voice dripped with disgust, "is twice the man Hitler ever was."
I could just strangle her.
The sheer absurdity of the comparison made Eobard want to scoff. "Not when he's blinded by his love for you," he shot back, slamming his fist on the table in frustration.
A heavy silence filled the room as Overgirl finally realized the truth in Eobard's words. The weight of the situation settled upon her.
"If it comes to Oliver choosing between me and the Reich," she said, her voice determined and resolute, "I'll make sure he chooses the Fatherland."
Eobard couldn't help but roll his eyes again, finding her declaration somewhat delusional. "How?" he challenged, his tone skeptical.
"If it comes to it," Overgirl replied defiantly, her resolve unwavering, "by taking the choice out of his hands."
Eobard watched her as she left the room, grateful for the silence accompanied by her departure. However, the silence was short-lived, as his watch suddenly beeped frantically. With a frown etched on his face, he glanced down at it and he could have sworn his heart stopped as he harshly threw the prism onto the table and swiftly made his way out of the room, running towards Star Labs.
^^^Flashback^^^
Oh my head...
Intense pain throbbed through your head, causing you to instinctively clutch your temples. The searing agony made it difficult to focus, but a chilling voice cut through the haze, jolting you awake from your disoriented state. The realization hit you like a bolt of lightning—you were bound to a chair, trapped.
"Where am I?" you mustered the courage to ask, futilely struggling against your restraints.
The voice, dripping with malevolence, responded with a sinister laugh. "Don't concern yourself with your location, my dear. You're the bait in my grand scheme."
"Release me!" you screamed, desperation and fear coursing through your veins.
Before you could comprehend what was happening, a forceful blow struck your face, silencing your pleas. The taste of blood tainted your mouth, leaving you dizzy and disoriented. Glimpsing a shadowy figure ready to strike again, you braced yourself for the impending pain. However, in an instant, a rush of wind and a streak of lightning disrupted the scene, heralding the arrival of an unexpected savior.
"You've made a profoundly foolish choice," reverberated the distorted voice of the Reverse Flash, his presence commanding.
"Who... who are you?" your captor stuttered, consumed by fear.
"Death," the Reverse Flash declared with a chilling finality, before the dark room flashed with another streak of lightning. The room fell silent, and he approached you, delicately touching your injured face, causing you to wince in pain. As he surveyed your injured state, his gaze flickered with a mix of frustration and concern. Every line etched on his face betrayed the worry he felt within, the furrowed brows and clenched jaw giving away how he felt. Intense fury and worry coursed through Eobard's veins, the sight of you, bound and defenseless, ignited a burning anger within him.
"Did you... kill him?" you whispered, your voice laced with a mix of apprehension and relief.
Eobard scoffed in response, his annoyance palpable. "You could have lost your life, and you're concerned about his well-being?"
A defiant glare met his exasperated expression, silently demanding an answer.
With a resigned sigh, Eobard admitted, "No."
As you stood beside the motionless body of your captor, you realized something. No one had known where you were.
You turned to him, a mixture of curiosity and disbelief on your face. "How did you know I was here?"
Eobard's gaze drifted to the chain that held your ring, his eyes filled with a mix of concern and affection. "How else could I know that you were safe?"
A mixture of incredulity and amusement washed over you. "Seriously? That's how you track me?"
He sighed, a tinge of annoyance still lingering. "Thank you, Eobard, for saving my life," he said, imitating you. "Oh, you're welcome, darling," he replied, feigning annoyance.
A smile tugged at the corners of your lips. "Thank you, Eobard, for rescuing me. I love you, you dork."
His lips curled into a genuine smile, his eyes reflecting the depth of his emotions. "I love you too."
------------
It's interesting how slow time seems to move...
Especially when you falling.
Falling off a very very tall building to be precise.
The rush of wind whipped against your face, mingling with the bitter taste of regret that clung to your tongue. Panic tightened its grip around your heart as you peered downward, witnessing the ground drawing nearer with a terrifying certainty.
Dread swelled within you.
Maybe this wasn't the best idea...
As the ground loomed closer, your fear erupted into a frenzied scream, a desperate plea for salvation. And then, in a bewildering instant, you felt a sudden jolt, a force wrapping around you, pulling you back the threat of the hard cement floor. The world snapped back into focus as you found yourself once again on the safety of the balcony, gasping for breath, your heart pounding in your chest.
Eobard, stood before you, his cowl removed, a mixture of concern and confusion etched upon his face. A tremor of vulnerability ran through his touch as his finger grazed your cheek, his worry visible. But the proximity between you felt suffocating, and you pushed him away angrily.
"You're working with the freaking Nazis?" The words exploded from your lips, fueled by a righteous anger that surged within you. The accusation flew like venom, the incredulity in your voice reverberated through the air.
Eobard was left dumbfounded, struggling to comprehend the whirlwind of events that had just happened. "Did you really just throw yourself off the roof to ask me that?" he incredulously questioned, his disbelief barely concealed.
"You're unbelievable," you felt anger surging through your body, your voice crescendoing with every word, "Unbelievable!"
Eobard's composure shattered, his own emotions surging forth in a torrent of words. "I'm unbelievable? Really?" he shot back, his voice rising in intensity. "I have given up everything for you, for our happiness," he declared, his voice tinged with a mixture of defiance and hurt. "And you're unhappy?"
The dam of pent-up emotions burst forth as you both unleashed, the air crackling with the force of your heated exchange. "Bullshit, Eobard," you retorted, your voice trembling with a mix of anger and vulnerability. "Everything you have ever done is for yourself. That's all you do—think about yourself!"
"I'm never the priority. I'm never enough for you," you cried out, the words raw. "I'm sick of sacrificing my own happiness, constantly playing second fiddle to your inability to confront your past and be with me in the present. It's time for you to man up and let go of this foolish fixation on Barry and time!"
There was silence as you both looked at each other.
"I'm sor-" Eobard tried to reach for your hand but you pushed him away.
"Sorry?" you spat, your voice laced with frustration. "I'm sick of hearing that. Every. Single. Time. I'm done, Eobard."
Panic seized Eobard's gaze, his eyes widening with disbelief as the weight of your words settled upon him. "What?" he uttered softly, his voice tinged with a mix of desperation and disbelief.
"I'm done," you repeated, your voice breaking. With a swift motion, you tore the necklace from your neck, the ring glinting in the air before throwing it at him. "Get out."
His protests faltered as he met your gaze, your eyes brimming with a blend of sorrow, pain, and regret. In that moment, the reality of what he had caused sunk in, the shattered fragments of your heart that he had caused.
As tears cascaded down your cheeks, you quietly said again, “Get out,” but this time with a brokenness lacing your voice.
Eobard sighed, his resolve crumbling. He approached you one last time, pressing a bittersweet kiss upon your lips, a final farewell. There was a sudden noise coming from below. You recognized it as the emergency alarm. You glanced up at Eobard and saw that his eyes were filled with sadness.
"I have to go," he said softly, "Go hide. Stay safe."
And with a surge of speed, he vanished, leaving you behind, broken and alone. You wiped your tears away, knowing that you had bigger worries now.
As you came back down you saw men with masks and swastikas on their sleeves walking to the containment area of the lab. Further away you saw Iris and Felicity standing on the other side of the hall, worried. You looked back up, trying to contain the overwhelming emotions you were feeling, before making your way towards Iris and Felicity.
Something told you that things were about to get ugly.
Love Bites (Vampire!Sherloque Wells X Reader)
A/N: Buckle up because this is a long one! I've re-read and re-written this so many times, I really hope it's okay lol. I never know what to put in terms of warnings, but as the title suggests, there is vampire biting and (probably medically inaccurate) blood loss in this fic. Also, sorry if the French is bad, I used several online translators but I can never be sure how accurate they are.
Word Count: 5255
Tagging: @ageless-aislynn @khayrrilrainxwells @mcbenson25 @yetanotherwells (Feel free to message me if you want to be tagged in anything!)
~
There was a metahuman running rampant throughout STAR Labs. You weren’t sure how they got in, what their powers were, or what they wanted, but you knew they were very angry and were determined to let everyone know about it. The moment the security alarm went off, the poor few of you who were still around at five in the morning had scattered, hoping it would be harder for the meta to track you all down. Being the only one around with powers, Cisco took it upon himself to hunt the hunter. You had all tried Barry’s phone but there was no response.
Sherloque ran off before you did, and before your survival instincts had the chance to kick in, you decided to go on a secret hunt on your own. You had suspected something was off with him almost immediately. Sure, the reason why he attracted your attention in the first place may have been the way he looked at you when he first arrived, but no amount of winks and little smiles could hide all the weird things you noticed. He refused to leave the building until after the sun had set, kept far away from windows and mirrors, and acted so, so strangely whenever someone was bleeding. You tried to ignore it at first, but it was all too coincidental for it not to mean anything. After months of research and spying, you came to one conclusion:
Sherloque Wells was a vampire.
Okay. Vampire was a strong accusation. It was why you hadn’t told anyone yet. Why you were stalking him through corridors whilst a criminal was threatening everyone's lives. You just couldn't help yourself. Too many vampire novels, Joe would say, but after years of facing metahuman after metahuman, you longed to get your hands on something supernatural. And it was just an added bonus that the supernatural thing you had found was a Harrison Wells doppelganger. It was as if the universe had gift-wrapped him for you – that is, if he turned out to be a friendly vampire of course. You hadn’t decided on what you were going to do if he was secretly evil. Probably scream, get bit, and then die, unfortunately. Although, the getting bit part didn’t sound all that bad – not if it was anything like the novels you had read, anyway.
Sherloque turned the corner into the lounge and you paused at the doorway to eavesdrop. A few footsteps here. A few footsteps there. A few… Nothing. You held your breath and edged as close to the doorway as you could without being seen, but it was like no one was in the room at all. Just pure, eerie silence. Peeking your head around the entrance, you took a brief glance around; the room was large and open, there were no hiding places, and there was no Sherloque Wells.
Against every cell in your body shouting at you that it was a bad idea, you took a deep breath in and crept into the lounge. Your footsteps filled the room with a solitary echo. The city night lights spilt through the giant windows, pulling you out of the dark and towards the soft glow. Drawn towards the window, with the skyline catching your eye, you could feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. Something– Someone was watching you.
You span around. Darting your eyes all over the room trying to follow the shadows that flitted in your peripheral. There was movement. A lot of it. You could feel it in the air. But god forbid, you couldn’t see a single thing. You started to shuffle backwards and attempted to control your breathing but it was a fight against your lungs that you were already losing.
Your back hit something cold and solid, and it was not the window. Fingers grasped your arm and jerked you around.
“Hello chérie."
Yanking your arm away, you stepped out of reach and narrowed your eyes at the man in front of you.
“Sherloque.”
“It’s not very sensible to follow me when there’s a criminal on the prowl.”
Slowly, the detective began to circle you, like an animal stalking its prey. There was a look in his eyes that sent a chill down your back.
“Then again,” he continued, “something tells me it's not the criminal that has your attention, is it? No. You’ve had your eye on me ever since I arrived, studying me just as I study the case of Cicada. I’m afraid your interest has not gone unnoticed.”
The detective stopped right in front of you and leaned in, you could smell the bergamot on his breath.
“So, my curious little cat, what conclusions have you drawn from watching me?”
You wanted to take a step back. Or at least, you should’ve wanted to take a step back. The thought had definitely crossed your mind. However, the moment his icy blue eyes captured yours, you were fixated. You couldn’t even want to think about running away no matter how hard you tried.
God. Okay. You never intended this to be a big confrontation, but it was happening whether you liked it or not. Right here. Right now. Ignoring the croak in your voice, you mustered up as much confidence as you could and said what needed to be said.
“I think you’re a vampire.”
The phrase made Sherloque’s lips involuntarily widen into an indulgent smile.
“You think?” he teased.
“I know.”
He paused before replying, letting himself appreciate your firm tine. “And do tell, what exactly makes you so sure?”
Words fell out of your mouth, toppling over each other in a big, bumbling mess. Amongst the babbling you managed to get out some kind of accusation.
“Y-you don’t– You don’t have a reflection.”
“And?”
And? And… Shit. The more you tried to think, the harder it was to conjure up any of your memories. It was like that damned smirk of his was chasing away all the evidence you had collected over the months, and not in the usual flirtatious kind of way. He huffed, amused at the panic that had settled on your face – he was enjoying this too much. You weren’t sure what kind of mind games he was trying to play with you, but you weren’t going to stand for it.
“Stop it!”
His eyes glimmered.
“Stop what?”
“That stupid thing you’re doing with your eyes. You’re hypnotising me or something with your vampire powers. I know it.”
Sherloque innocently placed his hand on his chest. “Moi? Never.”
“Sherloque,” you warned.
The detective took a step back and the fog in your brain had been lifted. You could finally think clearly again, enough to see the two sharp fangs pointing out of Sherloque’s wide grin. Finally, you thought. Finally, something supernatural – and you figured it out without anyone else's help.
Sherloque leaned back against the window, folding his arms and softening his gaze. “You know,” he started, “I knew this was going to happen.”
You rolled your eyes. “No you didn’t.”
“I hoped this was going to happen. As I said, I've noticed your interest and it is… mutual.”
“Mutual? In what way?”
He shrugged. “You have a sharp eye for details, a master detective appreciates such a thing.”
“Uhuh, is that all?”
“Tu as un beau sourire que je ne peux pas quitter des yeux.”
“You know I don’t understand French.” You crossed your arms, hoping he wasn’t mumbling an insult.
Sherloque hesitated; a myriad of confessions lingered on the tip of his tongue. You were brave enough to confront him, but he wasn’t sure if he was brave enough to confront his own feelings, after all, he didn’t exactly have the best history with falling in love. Five Renee Adlers. All women who he once loved. All women who hated the shit out of him. He couldn’t stand the thought of you hating him like that.
A loud bang echoed down the corridor followed by heavy footsteps and shouting – one of the voices being recognisably Cisco. The footsteps soon stopped, but you both knew neither of you were safe standing in the middle of a big open area.
Your attention darted to the corridor, back to Sherloque, and then over his shoulder. The twinkling lights of the night skyline had diminished and the horizon was growing lighter and lighter by the second. He didn’t have to question you, the look on your face combined with the prickling feeling on the back of his neck told Sherloque everything he needed to know. You shifted your weight from one foot to the other.
“What do we do now?” you asked, watching the detective stiffen his back.
“What do you want to do?”
“For starters, I would like to leave this room alive.”
Sherloque scoffed. “Is that what you think of me? A murderer?”
“No! But–” you took a step forwards “–vampires need to drink blood right?”
“Oui, the longer you go without it the weaker you become, but a vampire can go many years without consuming blood before dying. And I can assure you, a well-experienced vampire can acquire more than enough blood without killing.”
Sherloque’s eyes were on yours, but you were positive that all his attention had moved to your neck. If he wanted to kill you he would have done it by now, but that didn’t mean you were completely safe. The others didn’t know about Sherloque’s secret for a reason, and now that you knew, you were a threat to that reason, and something had to be done about it.
The top of the sun began to peak over the horizon and Sherloque dropped the smug, in control act that he was playing. Quickly, he took your hand and took a step towards the door, hoping you would follow. You held his hand tightly and didn’t move an inch.
“Ma chérie, I cannot stay here,” he said desperately.
He could have yanked his hand away and left. He could have pulled you off your feet and dragged you out of the room if he really wanted to. But no. He wanted you to come with him, and he wanted you to come willingly.
“I will not harm you, I promise.”
There was no glimmer in his eyes. No tricks being played. You glanced at the sun rising and a part of you wondered if Sherloque would let the sun burn hum just so he could stay with you a little longer. Your stomach grew uneasy at the thought of watching that happen. Turning back to the detective, you nodded and let him lead you out of the room, away from the harsh rays of light spilling through the windows.
~
Trying to avoid running into the metahuman problem, you avoided loud noises coming from the lifts and found yourselves in one of STAR Lab’s many abandoned, windowless storage rooms. The lights had yet to be changed into LEDs like the rest of the building, but to your surprise they had no trouble turning on when you flicked the switch and filled the room with a gentle, orange glow. There wasn’t any furnishing, nowhere to sit down, nothing to hide behind. It was a long, empty, concrete box with Sherloque standing at one end, and you at the other.
“I know vampires are supposed to be pale,” you said, “but now that we’re in proper light, you look really pale.”
"Oui. It has been a few months since I last fed." You could feel his eyes on your neck again. "It has been taxing."
“Then why haven’t you found a uh– meal?”
“I may not be human, but I would like to consider myself not a monster.”
“You haven’t found anyone willing.” You bit your lip and averted your gaze. A terrible idea wormed its way into your head. A terrible, stupid idea. The kind that you would read about in your beloved vampire novels.
“Non, not on this earth.” Keeping his eyes on you, Sherloque made his way to the middle of the room. “Not yet, anyway.”
You took a small step towards him. “I suppose you’d be quicker at catching Cicada if you were at full strength, right?”
The detective smiled softly at you. He didn’t need any vampire powers to know what you were thinking. “Ma chérie, if I took enough blood to be at my full strength, you would be very ill for a long time.”
Feeling like a silly teen trying to charm your way into trouble, you took a few more steps closer, just out of arm's reach, and flicked your eyes back up at him. “Then I’ll be in need of someone to take care of me.”
Sherloque hummed as he considered your offering. Oh yes. He could definitely take good care of you. And it would certainly give him more time to think up a charming way of telling you how he truly felt about you.
“Very well, mon amour. I promise I shall take care of you, afterwards,” he said as his eyes darkened with hunger. “If you are sure?”
“I’m sure.”
It all happened so quickly. Before you knew it, Sherloque had closed the gap between the two of you, wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you so close against his chest that you swore, even if he didn’t have enhanced senses, he could hear how fast your heart was beating. He cupped your cheek gently and tilted your head to the side, eyeing up your warm veins. Leaning in, his chilled lips pressed against your hot neck, sucking the spot he had decided on. He lingered, letting his teeth graze the tender bruise he made.
You shuddered feeling his hot breath, and for a split second, you felt those survival instincts of yours telling you to run. Momentarily, you closed your eyes and buried those feelings, trying to focus on Sherloque instead. His nose brushing against your skin. His arms squeezing around your side. His hand on your jaw with his thumb stroking your cheek. Knowing that there was no turning back now made your insides fizz with anxious excitement.
He pulled back just enough to look at you, as if to ask for your permission one last time. You could feel your heart thumping in your head, so loud that if you opened your mouth, you were sure it would be the only sound that would come out. Clenching your jaw to keep yourself composed, you gave Sherloque a reassuring smile. Yes. You have my permission. He smiled back and his eyes glimmered. Just like it happened in the lounge, a foggy haze blanketed your mind, making everything feel like a dream. You didn’t think getting your blood drunk would be painful enough to warrant hypnosis, but you weren’t going to complain about a little bit of supernatural painkiller.
Even under Sherloque’s spell, you could tell that something changed in his eyes. The soft, cold look was overcome with lust, and his lips spread open, revealing those two inhumanly sharp fangs of his. Once more, the vampire leaned into your neck.
You gasped as his teeth pierced your skin with a painless, but sharp pressure. Despite the hypnosis, there was still a small part of your brain that was alert and trying to send you signals that something dangerous was happening. No matter how much you tried, you couldn’t stop from instinctively flinching away, but Sherloque pulled you back, holding you so tightly that you could barely wiggle. Once you were secure in his grip, he continued.
The fangs pulled away, but the lips stayed put. Sherloque licked the blood from your neck, and as soon as it reached the back of his throat, the months of thirst he endured hit him all at once. Suddenly he couldn’t help himself. You were too good. The licking turned into desperate sucking which caused the two of you to stumble. With your back hitting the nearest wall, you let out a whimper and grabbed a fist full of Sherloque’s wavy hair to steady yourself. Usually, the detective was very particular about how his hair looked, but right now he was far too drunk on your blood to care.
You weren’t sure how long it had lasted, but finally, Sherloque pulled away. The moment his arms left you, your legs buckled. Your vision was unfocused and Sherloque was a blur, moving quickly to catch you and softly sit you on the floor. His arms felt much stronger than what you remembered. Kneeling in front of you, he pulled off his scarf and wrapped it around your neck, tying it just enough to stop the bleeding – he’d see to it medically when you were properly safe. Seeing your glazed eyes trying to focus on him, Sherloque cupped your face with both his hands and gently guided your attention towards him. You wanted to rub your eyes, but your arms felt impossibly heavy to lift, so you settled on blinking until your vision cleared up and you could actually look at the man in front of you. His pupils were dilated, his once-pale skin was flushed with lively colour, and his lips were wet and red, stained with blood that smeared down his chin.
“Hmm, you… You look…” you mumbling trailed off.
"Just relax chérie, you won't be able to function normally for a few weeks. Best not to force it."
A door a few corridors away slammed, followed by Cisco shouting. The noises echoed painfully in your ears as they grew closer to your hiding place.
“I can say for certain,” he stood up, whipped out a handkerchief to clean his face, and then straightened his clothes, “you’ve given me more than enough blood to deal with our intruder. Wait here. Once I return, I shall get you home and take care of you, just as I promised.”
You wanted to object to being left alone, but with a smile and a wink, Sherloque left the room, closing the door quietly behind him.
A few minutes passed and the sound of the intruder stopped. You waited for Sherloque to come waltzing back to you, but all you received was silence. A few more minutes passed, and you grew restless. It shouldn’t be taking so long. You made yourself wait a little longer, but the silence was torture. He really should be back by now. A few more minutes and… No. No more minutes. No more waiting. Sure, you were too weak to walk, but you weren’t a damsel in distress, you weren’t going to just sit still in an empty storage room all by yourself. Using the wall, you pushed yourself forwards onto your hands and knees and slowly shuffled towards the door. Your head spun as you moved, but you carried on, determined to find out what was going on.
Aside from Cisco, no one knew what the power the metahuman has, so for all you knew, Sherloque could be in danger. Or maybe Cisco was being overpowered and he was in danger. Or maybe everyone was in danger and you were their only hope of survival. Or maybe everything was perfectly fine and you were worrying about nothing. You really hoped the latter was true because you didn’t need a detective to deduce that you weren’t going to be much help in a fight right now.
You reached the door and strained to lift your arm. Curling your fingers around the door handle, you used your weight to gracelessly heave it open, narrowly avoiding the door swinging into your face. The corridor was dark and empty. No Cisco. No handsome detective. Struggling for breaths, you managed to lean yourself against the doorframe, thrilled at your small accomplishment. You let out a huff, eyes growing tired of staying open. Wherever your dashing vampire was, he better come back for you soon, and he better not be injured.
The hypnotising thing Sherloque did had started to wear off, making you hyper aware of your arms and knees aching, and your neck stinging like hell. Vampire romance novels never mentioned how much being bitten would feel like… well, like being bitten. Something told you that there was a lot about vampires that vampire romance novels don’t mention. For example, it really sucked to wait for what felt like a million stupid years for one of them to come back for you.
A loud look over here kind of cough snapped you out of your miserable thought spiral.
Your head shot up, the movement causing your stomach to swirl and turn, but you were too overwhelmed and excited to care. Finally! Sherloque walked over to you and crouched by your feet. He was a lot less easy to focus on now, but still just as nice to look at.
“Hello trouble. I found Cisco and we put the metahuman in the pipeline. He is dealing with the mess that was made, and I have come to finally take you home–” Sherloque looked at you, then at the open door, then back at you with an amused smile. “Je suis désolé. Was the wait too long for you to handle?”
You opened your mouth, but the back of your throat was too dry to make a quip. Oh. That’s right. The grand trials and tribulations of trying to speak. You swallowed and spoke with as much determination as you could muster.
“You,” you started, your voice hoarse and sore, “were gone–”
“Oui. But I returned, just as I promised.”
“Gone f-for hours!”
Sherloque knitted his eyebrows and frowned, looking down at his pocket watch. He turned it to face you.
“No. I was gone for approximately twelve minutes.”
Suddenly, the detective’s hands were all over you. Face. Shoulders. Neck. Sherloque wasn’t a doctor, but you sat as still as you could and let the man carry out his examination. He promised to take care of whatever state he had left you in, but a part of you was still hoping that your state would be more breakfast in bed and less hospital gown. You attempted to take a slow deep breath, trying to make yourself as calm as the face you were looking at seemed to be, but what you ended you with was shaky and abrupt.
Sherloque stopped and sweetly held you by the shoulders – you could feel the new warmth of his hands through your clothes.
“You’ll be just fine.” His voice was soft and soothing. “I’ll get you home, make you something to eat to get some strength back into you, maybe make some tea to help you sleep– Hey. Hello? Chérie, look at me.”
You didn’t even notice it at first, but everytime you closed your eyes, it was getting increasingly difficult to open them again. With all your aches and pains, you were beyond exhausted. It would be so easy to close your eyes and drift off–
“I need you to stay awake for me,” Sherloque spoke in a slightly raised tone to keep your attention on him. “You can sleep as soon as I get you in bed. But until then, I need you to keep your eyes open. Okay?”
You mumbled that you’d try your best, and then the next few moments were a complete blur.
~
Sherloque had gotten you home… somehow. The details didn’t bother you, you were just happy to finally be home. Sherloque didn’t spare any time to start living up to that promise he made. He attentively tended to your wound, helped you change into pyjamas, and ushered you to bed. It wasn’t until after you had devoured his homemade soup did you lie down to sleep.
You tossed. You turned. You were exhausted beyond all means, but no amount of closing your eyes and hiding under the covers was helping you to fall asleep. Tor-ture. Grumbling, you rubbed your eyes and sat up. It wasn’t that long ago that you were struggling to stay awake. Penance from the universe for finding pleasure in aiding a vampire perhaps? No. He may have been smug, but Sherloque was a good vampire – Your vampire.
“Everything alright?”
Speak of the devil. You looked up at the detective leaning against your doorway and pouted.
“Can’t sleep.”
“No?”
“I know it’s the middle of the day, but my room is more than dark enough with my curtains closed. It’s like I'm too tired to be tired,” You said. “How does that make sense?”
“I bit you. There must still be adrenaline in your body.” Sherloque strolled over to sit by the side of your bed. “Your brain is still in fight or flight mode, bien-aimée, you need to relax.”
“Bien-ahh, uh–”
“Bien-aimée.”
“Bien-aimée,” you slowly repeated . “That’s a new one. What does it mean?”
Beloved.
Sherloque turned his head to look out the window and hummed.
“Maybe I will teach you some French when you get better.” He quickly kicked off his shoes and turned back to you. “But for now, you need to relax and you need to sleep.”
The detective swiftly slid under the covers. You opened and closed your mouth, deciding not to protest, and instead shuffled to make enough room for Sherloque to sit comfortably next to you. For once, you were glad for your small double bed; the lack of space pulling the two of you together, making Sherloque putting his arm around you feel like a natural advancement – the kind you had been trying to hype yourself up to make ever since you got home.
Somehow, asking a vampire to bite you was less nerve wracking than trying to cuddle up and relax with one. At least when you were running around STAR Labs you had adrenaline and the imposing threat of being hunted by a metahuman to motivate you. Now that the waters had settled, there was nothing to mask the fact that you had just ran head first into some kind of relationship with a detective vampire from another earth who you were half assuming was going to kill you when he found out you were investigating him.
You leaned into Sherloques side, rested your head against his shoulder. Perhaps it was better not to think too hard about these things. It wasn’t exactly like you were looking to get married the next day, just some good company and some well needed sleep. Feeling Sherloque relax under you, you closed your eyes tight, focusing on his thumb softly rubbing against your arm. The tiredness was really catching up to you now. With the cool, calm darkness granted to you via your black out curtains, and the warm embrace of your duvet wrapped around you and Sherloque, falling asleep no longer felt impossible.
“Relax and sleep,” you mumbled, “I think I can do that.”
Sherloque rested his head on top of yours, listening to the slow rhythm of your breathing. Why on earth he decided to get in bed with you was beyond him. He was so desperate to change the subject that he didn’t give himself time to think about what he was doing. Idiot. Whatever happened to avoiding another Renee Adler situation? They had all moved on but the memories of them – or more so, the memories of the mistakes he made with them – stuck to him like chewing gum in hair.
With a deep sigh, Sherloque closed his eyes. You weren’t her. You weren’t any version of her. But that didn’t stop him from assuming he’d screw things up with you like he had done over and over again with Renee. There was a chance that she and him just weren’t meant to be, but there was another, greater chance that any relationship with Sherloque just wasn’t meant to be – the latter scared him more than direct sunlight ever could. He hoped to God that you were feeling relaxed because inside his head was far from it.
~
To save your sleep schedule from becoming vamperic, you had planned to sleep until the sun had risen again, but it was quarter to midnight when you woke up. You almost weren't sure that you had woken up as you had to pry your eyelids open from deep sleep only to be met with darkness. Sherloque was lying flat on his back and you were still by his side, head still on his shoulder, limbs half sprawled out over him. All your joints ached and the pressure in your head persisted – perhaps it was a good thing that you woke up in the dark because oversleeping left you just as groggy as you felt when you got home.
“Beloved.”
You flinched. It made sense that the vampire next to you was awake during the night, but he was so still and you were so sleepy from waking up that it never got close to crossing your mind. You angled your head to look up at the outline of Sherloques Jaw.
“Huh?”
“Bien-aimée,” Sherloque said gently, staring at the ceiling. “It means beloved.”
The words tingled as you repeated them in your head. Beloved. Beloved. Beloved.
“Sherloque,” you breathed, “have you been calling me pet names this whole time?”
“Perhaps.”
It didn’t take vampire night vision to see the guilty, smug smile on his face; you bit your lower lip to hide a similar, bashful smile from appearing on your own. Sure. He noticed you noticing him. He took a liking to you. He flirted, bit, and then slept beside you. But it never occurred to you that he had been pining for you far longer than you had been for him. Not trusting the dark to conceal your flustered expression, you turned and smushed your face into Sherloques chest.
“Bien-aimée,” he said gleefully, squeezing his arms around you, “my fondness for you is not new information.”
Despite the tiredness and Sherloques chest muffling your voice, your laugh was undeniably embarrassed. “This. Whole. Time. Sherloque. Why didn’t you say anything?”
The pressure of Sherloques arms slightly loosened, and you were once again thankful for the dark hiding both your face from him and his face from you. Whatever he was thinking of, it wasn’t good, that you were certain of.
Renee. He had to get over it. You weren’t another repeated, doomed relationship. You were new. You were brilliant. And right now you were his and he couldn’t give that up, not for people who lived on different earths and didn’t even understand him properly.
Your heart was beating fast, and Sherloque couldn’t stand feeling his silence weigh you down any longer.
“A relationship with a vampire isn’t an easy one,” he finally said.
“No relationship is.”
“But especially with me.”
Taking your time as to not worsen your headache, you propped yourself up on your elbows so Sherloque could see your face.
“I’m not one to back down from a challenge, whether it’s supernatural, investigative–” you looked at the uncertainty in Sherloque’s bright, blue eyes “–or emotional. I’m strong enough to work through anything, and I’m sure you are too.”
Your eyes had bags but they were full of so much more life than they were when he first brought you home. If he wanted you to carry on looking at him like that, he’d have to move on. He would move on.
“My dear, if you believe I am strong enough–” Sherloque smiled at you softly “–then I am strong enough.”
“Good.”
You smiled brightly and leaned forwards, capturing his soft, warm lips with a kiss.
