god has let me live another day and i'm about to make it everyone's problem:
HASBRO SWEETIE PUPS
Tumblr media
I used to have one or two when i was a kid, whatever. Remembered them and my brain got way too tingly: long story short autism be damned im insane.
I got absolutely obsessed by them again, they used to be released in Brazil by the Estrela brand but they were made by Hasbro (my autistic ass never fails when it comer to plastic/vynil animals from hasbro). I already collect LPS but now that i have adult money i'm very invested to get these little guys.
Progress made so far:
☆Bichon Frise - VERY damaged fur, i'm currently plucking it all out one by one to reroot the hair. I won't be able to replicate whatever they did with the original Bichon Frise fur texture or styling buuuut i can try to replicate a Maltese since their vinyl bases are p much the same 👀👀
Tumblr media
☆Shih Tzu : I'm OBSESSED. I originally bought this one bc it was almost for free and i didn't how how difficult it was to find him. Fur is almost perfect, the vinyl base and original paint has some damage going on :( i'll try to fix it and find his body online (seems like it will be HARD.)
Tumblr media
Now time for the exciting part 👀👀
☆Poodle Toy: IN ITS ORIGINAL BOOOOOOOOX. UNOPENED. BRAZILIAN BOX VARIANT, they were called Fofi Dogs here!! Tbh the poodle toy wasn't in my priorities but the price and opportunity was WAY too good to let go.
Tumblr media
Now. My whole ass pride and joy, probably will be my most cherished item forever.....
BICHON FRISE. IN. ITS. ORIGINAL. BOX. UNOPENED.
I never contacted a seller so fast in my entire life, as far as i know the Bichon Frise and some other breeds have an issue with the fur and styling going on bc of the texture, most of them are in pretty bad shape, the sintetic hair didn't seem to age well/behaved. I never seen a Bichon Frise being sold unopened. Besides that, got it for so cheap i just might go insane. I really hit the jackpot and i CANNOT wait to get my hands on it. Look at how perfect and in shape the hair ISSSS PLEASEEEEEEEEEE

Does anyone know if there are ANY traces of the Trollz (2005) website out there other than the archived homepage and like. One animated storybook? Anyone know how to rip the assets?
The fact that this entire franchise has basically no online archiving (only one single mention in the entire flashpoint server and no actual media within the release) is a real damned shame, I’d love to at least collect all the assets together in one place, or even use them to build an html-based “recreation” of sorts that at least let you click around and explore the site again.

Tumblr media
The My Little Pony web portal has been removed from Hasbro's website, along with those of Hasbro's other franchises.
The My Little Pony site was created in 2003 and was moved to mylittlepony.hasbro.com in July 2015, and it featured information, videos, activities, minigames and product listings.
Hasbro's website rework involves the consolidation of the website subdomains of all of its franchises, which I imagine is intended to reduce maintenance costs. Now, all of the products are shown on shop.hasbro.com, and all of the videos, activities and minigames are linked to from play.hasbro.com.
Some information, such as the pages about characters, is no longer available anywhere on Hasbro's website, and can only be viewed through archival websites such as the Internet Archive Wayback Machine and archive.today.
Note that this change is not an indication of anything specific to the MLP brand, since the same change was made for the sites of all of Hasbro's other franchises as well.
Screenshots of Hasbro's new web portals are shown below.

a wild Blocker Trap appeared! this one wasn't planned. I spent a lazy Sunday revisiting this Battleship clone from my childhood and the words just kind of poured out. you should try this out if you get a chance—it's on the Internet Archive's massive DOS-game collection

Hasbro's Sweetie Pups: Who were they?
A very complete guide about these toys.
Tumblr media
The most brushably beautiful pets of all!
Sweetie Pups and Sweetie Kitties were produced by Hasbro from 1989-91. There were two distinct lines of the Pups and Kitties; the original line, which was quite realistic, and the Party Time line which used a bright rainbow of colours. There was also series of Baby Pups and two playsets released. ☆☆☆
☆ SERIES I
There were eleven Sweetie Pups in the first series, each one a different breed of dog. Each one came with an award ribbon shaped hairclip, ribbon and either a comb or brush which were produced in a variety of colours. Eight were 5 inches high and three were 8 inches high.
These eight Sweetie Pups were all 5 inches high:
☆Bearded Collie [tan & white]
☆Bichon Frise [white]
☆Cocker Spaniel [golden yellow]
☆Maltese [White]
☆Schnauzer [gray]
☆Shih Tzu [black & white]
☆Toy Poodle [cream]
☆Yorkshire Terrier [black & tan]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These three Sweetie Pups were all 8 inches high:
☆Afghan [blond & brown]
☆Collie [white, tan & brown]
☆Old English Sheepdog [black & white]
Tumblr media
☆ SERIES II
There were eleven Sweetie Pups released in the second series, with eight new breeds added.
Each puppy came with a rosette shaped hairclip, ribbon and either a comb or brush as before. The hairclip and comb were the same as the first series, but the brush was a new design.
New Pups (these Sweetie Pups were all 5 inches high):
☆Lhasa Apso [golden brown]
☆Pekingese [tan & brown]
☆Pomeranian [light brown]
☆Skye Terrier [white, silver & black]
☆Springer Spaniel [brown & white]
☆Westie [white]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
New Pups (these three Sweetie Pups were all 8 inches high):
Tumblr media
☆Saint Bernard [large - brown & white]
☆Samoyed [large - white]
*Besides the images, people report never seeing these last two new models (St Bernard and Samoyed), making most of us believe they were discontinued before being sold.
☆ Source + a few personal notes!
Post about the Party Time series, Baby series, Play sets and which i *believe* to be a special Brazilian series only released in Brazil in the 00s coming soon!! 🐶💜

Here’s the thing about “I’m just going to play dnd with the stuff I already have:” Do you have all the stuff you use? Do you use a VTT like Tabletop Simulator? How about google something because you need to refer to stuff you don’t have on hand? Where did you get your character sheet? Are you using any sort of app or card to keep track of everything?
The thing is, we can and will keep our used books and such, but Hasbro is already trying to destroy any online resources for people. This isn’t just “I don’t want to play a new system, so I’m sticking with my book.” Hasbro and Wizards are going to do their damndest to make sure you have no access to anything except their services.

keywords to use when looking for fun child-friendly games on flashpoint!꒰› ω ‹ ꒱☆〜
for those unaware, flashpoint is a program you can download onto your pc that has thousands of flash games from all around the web archived into one program! i have a tutorial on how to download it here!
always remember to stick to the OFFICIALLY LICENSED games! not that the third party games are bad or dangerous, but theyre just generally of a lower quality and not as fun. my favorite keywords list is under the cut!
MIMI'S FAV FLASHPOINT GAME KEYWORDS
nick jr (has everything from dora to blues clues to the fresh beat band and everything else in between!!)
Tumblr media
nickelodeon (has fun lego games, avatar/korra games, spongebob, and even games from classic 90s nick shows!)
Tumblr media
hasbro (barbies games, my little pony games (g3 and g4), littlest pet shop games, NERF games, marvel games, transformers games, etc!)
Tumblr media
noggin (not a whole ton of games because most noggin games got moved to nick jr, but a lot of games that didn't survive the switch were oobi games, miffy games, maisy games, and a couple moose & zee games!)
Tumblr media
disney (a big range of age demographics in this one! plenty of disney junior, disney channel, and classic disney movies games!)
Tumblr media
cartoon network (this ones for a slightly older demographic, 8-12 i'd say! lots of classic and modern CN show games to choose from here!! the naruto games were my fav as a kid)
Tumblr media
GirlsGoGames (a classic site for sure!! lots of fun dressup games and stereotypically "girly" games!)
Tumblr media
PBS (so many cute games!! clifford, arthur, mr roger/daniel tiger, etc!!)
Tumblr media
sesame street (pretty self explanatory here! i love these games :])
Tumblr media
polly pocket (a few unlicensed low quality games in the results here, make sure to play the real ones!)
Tumblr media
sprout (kinda like noggin, these are a lot of the games that didn't survive the switch to PBS kids! mainly bob the builder, a couple sesame street games, and thomas the tank engine)
Tumblr media
HiT entertainment (some more bob the builder and thomas games, fireman sam, and some really cute microsites [pingu, thomas & angelina ballerina])
Tumblr media
american greetings (really cute care bears games, and some games from rarer/forgotten 2000s shows like holly hobbie and maryoku yummy! [I LOVED BOTH])
Tumblr media
hubworld .com (basically a part 2 of hasbro. more mlp games, lps games, transformers games, etc!)
Tumblr media
mattel (more barbie, polly pocket, hot wheels games plus a ton more from other mattel franchises, including some fisher price games for very young ones!)
Tumblr media
some general flashpoint tips
make sure explicit content is turned off! you can do this in the config tab. if you have explicit content turned on, adult games can show up in searches (especially if you search stuff like my little pony)
avoid games that are from newgrounds, deviantart, etc. those games can be violent, gorey, or suggestive, and can pop up even if the explicit content is turned off
each game has tags, publishers, etc in the description that you can click on to narrow down your searches!
not all games work properly. some may glitch, have lost assets, or not load at all. these things will usually be specified in the "notes" of the description, make sure to read those before playing!
and most importantly, HAVE FUN!!! there are literally thousands of games at your disposal here to play around with. this program offers hours of fun for regressors or people who love nostalgia!

Despite how WOTC/Hasbro have sworn off using AI several times (and then got caught using it, like here or here), and then casually firing +1000 employees this year (many of them being artists), their CEO is predictably musing about how to incorporate it, and readily making use of the technology for some other products, and testing how it may be of use for DnD/MtG.
I had mentioned it was just a matter of time, and even when some people were very eager that WOTC would never, well. Who would've thought. It's the same company that showed again and again no respect for its audience, their creators or even the biggest fans. (The OGL mess was about a year ago. They sent the Pinkertons to a fan less than a year ago). Because delivering a quality product isn't really their goal, nor is it to actually compensate artists fairly.
I don't think this is breaking news, but I'm mostly bringing it up in case people wonder where they stand. They also have a poll where you can tell what you think about them (no actual written feedback, only "pick from these 5 options"). And as a final note Margaret Weiss (creator of the Dragonlance, who had some big disputes with them- Including a lawsuit towards WOTC) has come forward to tell how little WOTC has respected her series. Not long ago a book set in the setting (Fizban's Treasury of Dragons) got released, and it cared very little about being respectful towards the world or her work. Which tracks with their usual behaviour, because Eberron was also mangled quite badly.
Just, as a reminder, there's many wonderful TTRPGs that are far more worth to support monetarily, or even available to play for free. (Recently all of the PF2e remaster has been posted on Archives of Nethys- A page that has all the mechanics from all the books for free, which is endorsed by the company itself.)
But yeah. As a small creator and artist, it's surely lovely to see how much the biggest TTRPG company out there respects us.
