i think that if ulquiorra were to somehow like. survive and live in the human world in some sort of gigai/secret mission type thing i think he'd still continue to try and Figure Humans out (he'd be more normal about it, now having the whole heart question figured out) and he'd try to understand other human things besides, ya know, basic human emotions and morals. Of course, he would go to orihime, who has undoubtedly proven herself to be well, a humans expert, for advice. but what he doesnt know is that she is also extremely strange in her own way so it'd just result in him getting weirder which i just think would be incredibly funny.

i am a person with ocd and a jaylen enjoyer. i saw on your artfight that your jaylen has ocd. can you tell me a bit more about that? i love the idea so much!

Yes hi hi! So Jaylen having OCD is a hc from one of my partners that I liked so much I wanted to incorporate into my own Jaylen interpretation. Here are some of my thoughts on it: Due to the nature of Blaseball being a text based simulator with lots of RNG, it leads to spotting a lot of patterns and coincidences and weaving narratives out of them and I think having a character be painfully aware of these repeating numbers and such around her as the unwilling protagonist leads to some really interesting character stuff. I think the main thing Jaylen struggles with is moral OCD with intrusive thoughts as well as issues with numbers or dates having a certain level of superstition around them, particularly the numbers 14 + 7, and I think she had a better handle on managing her symptoms before the resurrection. I read her PGR of checking her pulse as a compulsion that developed after that. And with the debt + beanings I see it as kinda like an offshoot of her having OCD rather than a 1 to 1 allegory of it. It's about the horror of "what if forces beyond your control made you actually act on your intrusive thoughts", which is like absolutely terrifying and leaves Jaylen a little messed up (though in a weird way it does confirm for her that she would never actually act on those thoughts without some sort of universal meddling. On a lighter note you may have seen that I mentioned that she likes tropical fish on her artfight page! She keeps a big tank of them and tropical fish require very, very specific conditions and maintenance compared to more standard fish people keep. This is a nice way for her to manage her anxiety and symptoms as it gives her something she does need to be very particular about that requires frequent monitoring and check-ins to direct her anxieties into. I think one of the many things she wanted to be as a kid was a marine biologist. She made Mike watch Blue Planet with her when they were 10 and the deep sea creatures gave Mike nightmares for weeks. She still has a fondness for deep sea creatures and getting to see them was one of the highlights of being in the hall for her. She got Tillman into deep sea creatures and they watch marine documentaries together when they can't sleep.
