But no parenting book I have ever or could ever read could've prepared me for "What did it feel like on your last day of being a child?". Anyone got an answer for that one? Sighing, he shakes head and attempts to get up, only to find that he's stuck somehow. Where exactly did he land and why was it dimmer in here... Surely there would be some sort of light source... Unless he was in a basement of some sort. Then perhaps that would explain better.

Still, he tries to free himself to better explore his surroundings... With no luck. Ok, he's still got his gazer, perhaps he could use that to scan the area. Roxas was taking a stroll through town, it felt good. It felt right. After what felt like too long he could live his life with his friends and do homework like any normal kid his age. No organization to work for, no end of the world, just a quiet life for him and his friends. Roxas felt like he deserved it for all he went through, well, being brought into existence as a nobody all of a sudden and then losing all the few memories you had wasn’t exactly his idea of a pleasant time. However, it did make school amusing as if anyone tried to do anything to him or his friends they’d soon learn very quickly to leave them all alone. The advantage when most people you’re close with can fight and are extremely agile and have quick reflexes. 

The boy took a breath as he paused his walk, there were so many people in town. What was once a world that was closed off to people, was now thriving with visitors from other worlds and everyone who would live here normally. It was a huge contrast from the empty town he knew about, it would be interesting to see what the next struggle tournament would be like with all these people. Scrooge would likely want to get involved too seeing how much money he could make from it. As Roxas was thinking of that, and the fact he might consider getting a Sea Salt Ice cream while here, he spotted a man also standing idly. Not one he’d seen before, a visitor from another world perhaps? When there was a town this size, you tended to know all the residents. 

Approaching the still figure he waved as a friendly gesture, “hello. Are you lost? Twilight Town can be a bit confusing at first.” With all the back alleys and roads interconnecting with each other, any new visitor could be lost. He was just thankful he found the man in town and not say by the old mansion.

hearing an unsettling noise, the witch woman had a strange sense of Deja vu. goosebumps that came over her but failed to melt away. not as though it was dark, or that there weren’t people walking around her to get to their next destination. trapped in her mind a moment as if she was daydreaming or more like having a live nightmare,  but in daylight?  in her efforts to break free, peyton’s subconscious clung to the first sign of life, warm hands, almost close to feverish you could say, gripped their wrist. if it weren’t for the important object ‘round her own wrist, peyton recoiled to believe the burns she could inflict on them. the sound of honking pulls her back in to the safety of civilization, with the realization setting in, the brunette takes her hand away swiftly. “sorry, sorry. I don’t know where my mind is at. sorry.”  she said to the stranger apologetically, nursing a slight fever due to fighting the effects of the bracelet.

tired  was  an  understatement,  silas  had  spent  the  night  out  with  a  few  members  of  tour;  drinking  a  bit  too  much.  but  could  you  blame  him?  one  of  the  staff  members  bought  the  group  a  few  rounds  +  he  wasn’t  going  to  turn  it  down.  

head  laying  on  crossed  arms,  he  lifted  up  when  he  heard  the  door  to  the  breakroom  open;  the  fluorescent  light  basically  blinding  him.  “hello?”  he  piped  up  with  a  hand  covering  his  eyes,  his  hangover  too  bad  to  fight  the  bright  lights  above  him.  “someone  brought  donuts…”  he  continued,  mumbling  a  bit  before  he  began  to  pray  that  the  advil  would  kick  in  soon  +  knock  out  this  deadly  headache.

i was so convinced i was gonna be in a glam rock band when i was a kid too. my dad was always like this huge rockstar in my eyes (bc he is a musician and i grew up listening to him play and talk abt band stuff and be in diff bands throughout my childhood) and i was always so insistent to him that he teach me to absolutely SHRED on guitar but. the issue with that. is that. my dad does not play guitar. he plays bass. and keyboards. so he’d tell me he couldn’t teach me guitar and i’d need lessons for that but he could teach me bass. and i’d look at him and with all the dead seriousness a 5 year old in a hannah montana pajama set can muster be like. well can i still be in whitesnake if i play bass. and he’d be like well i think they already have a bassist but yeah most bands need one. and i was like GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME IM GONNA KICK OUT WHITESNAKES BASS PLAYER AND TAKE OVER. i was maybe a little megalomaniacal as a kid

incidentally i never learned to play bass. i am learning keyboards though :D

                    it  wasn’t  the  first  time  devlin  had  received  a  text  from  an  unknown  number  asking  him  to  meet  them  in  some  abandoned  or  secluded  area  ,  having  made  a  lot  of  enemies  over  the  years  ,  it  was  only  inevitable  that  he  had  a  few  targets  on  his  back  .  but  something  about  this  text  felt  different  from  all  the  others  ,  and  it  wasn’t  something  he  could  put  into  words  or  fully  comprehend  .  it  was  a  feeling  ,  a  gut  feeling  perhaps  ,  something  pulling  him  in  that  direction  .  

                    of  course  this  didn’t  stop  him  from  doing  his  research  prior  to  arriving  ,  his  dubious  mind  reminding  him  to  remain  cautious  .  the  phone  number  had  been  a  dead  end  ,  as  was  everything  else.  whoever  this  was  ,  they  knew  how  to  cover  their  tracks  ,  and  it  only  made  the  roses  leader  more  curious  to  know  who  this  person  was  ,  and  whether  they  were  a  threat  to  him  and  his  family  .

                    as  he  enters  the  building  with  caution  ,  he  is  met  with  a  corridor  ,  and  he  finds  that  feeling  hanging  over  him  once  again  ,  leading  him  with  steady  footsteps  towards  the  door  at  the  very  end  .  one  hand  is  already  pressed  against  his  gun  ,  ready  to  pull  it  out  at  the  first  sign  of  danger  ,  yet  the  moment  he’d  taken  his  first  step  into  the  building  ,  all  he  felt  was  warmth  .

                    his  free  hand  is  now  on  the  door  ,  swinging  it  open  to  meet  with  whatever  fate  he  was  being  sucked  into  ,  but  as  the  door  squeaks  open  and  his  dark  hues  fall  upon  the  familiar  figure  that  currently  had  their  back  to  him  ,  he  felt  his  whole  heart  explode  .  were  his  eyes  deceiving  him  right  now  ?  it  wouldn’t  be  the  first  time  .  he’d  walked  up  to  strangers  in  the  street  and  mistaken  them  for  her  so  many  times  ,  and  each  time  he  felt  his  heart  sink  deeper  into  his  chest  .  he  still  hears  her  laugh  at  times  too  ,  a  sound  he  would  never  forget  .  and  her  smile  would  light  up  his  dreams  until  he  awakes  into  his  bleak  reality  ,  the  reality  being  that   dominique  was  dead  ,  something  he  had  to  remain  painfully  aware  of  for  the  sake  of  his  sanity  and  those  reliant  on  him  .

                    “  turn  around  .  ”  voice  low  and  demanding  ,  his  tall  frame  stays  firmly  in  place  as  he  awaits  the  stranger  to  reveal  their  self  and  prove  his  wishful  mind  wrong  .
