A Call to Abolish Slavery of All Kinds

They are also beings. They have feelings, they have emotions; they have intelligence. They have loyalty to each other and they are so good to each other and to humans also. And we sell, buy, sell, buy them, just like we did with humans before. That's also not correct. Our world is not correct in many ways. I don't know how long it takes to change all this, but we will have to change it. And we are doing all we can to change this system, because it's not right. There's only one way to do things: it's the right thing. And this thing is not right. No matter what country or what government, if they have some thinking, some little sympathy in the heart, some understanding of what's right, what's wrong, then this slavery of humans and animals should be abolished long, long time before I was even born. That should be the right thing to do.

Tolerance in an Intolerant World

Seeing people come together to mourn the Queen, what has become of the tolerant Britain we love, a nation in turmoil, makes the headlines in the ‘Mail on Sunday’ as a fight breaks out. The last time we saw people come together in this way, was when Princess Diana died.

We’re seeing changes and still many intolerances, scenes in London where police were attacked by demonstrators. (Source: https://www.thepoke.co.uk) In the UK through Brexit and the world pandemic, we have already seen changes, we’ve become more self-absorbed, and we have become more intolerant.

It’s not like a broken leg, people sympathise with, but what is it going to take? In a world that has become less tolerant and people less approachable, it is time to be more tolerant and more approachable.

For those targeted, it is a difficult time. It isn’t easy to say how you feel. But what happened to tolerance, what happened to patience, to understanding, what happened to being helpful, to acceptance, just what happened? We have to all want to care and be more tolerant, to help one another. We should be working together.

Self care starts with each of us. Prioritising self care is important to both your physical and mental health. It is important to get to know yourself, to learn to work with your own inner wisdom. It is important to hone in on your own strengths. That way you learn to appreciate and become tolerant towards others.
