Puppy Love Headcanons

When Tracy was nine, she found herself having an unexpected crush over eighteen years old Klaus

Tracy spent her days staring at Klaus, giving him death looks, she didn't understand why she felt like that but she definitely knew that she had a crush on him, meanwhile, Klaus thought that the youngest Otto was plotting his murder

Tracy went to Lyn for advice on how to flirt with men, Lyn, didn't know who exactly Tracy was talking about, but she did answer her question that the way she made Troy fall in love with her was by annoying him until she grew on him and he stopped threatening to kill her.

Tracy followed her mother's advice, she decided to annoy Klaus to get his attention, she started poking him whenever she saw him sitting, sometimes it would last for an hour or so, he was too shy and kind to say anything so he just took it, he also thought that if she tells Troy he might tie him to a tree and let everyone poke him until he dies

Tracy didn't get any reaction from Klaus when she started poking him so she went to Troy for advice, naturally Troy had no idea how to deal with a crush, he told her how he treated Lyn with constant threats of throwing her to walkers

The next day, Tracy asked Klaus to accompany her to the basement then she locked him in the basement with the walkers, thinking this would make him fall in love with her just like his mom did

Dwight ends up finding Klaus hiding in a corner in the basement after a day, totally traumatized, Klaus tells him what happened and he tells Lyn and Troy who are completely confused, they talk to Tracy and ground her, they also made her go and apologize to Klaus

Tracy went to Klaus who was being comforted by Frank and getting some serious medical help, she apologized to him about what happened and explained to him that she was trying to get noticed by him, she told him she had a crush on him and she was only following her parents' method

After that, Klaus explains to her why this can never happen, and how he's flattered but almost dying was definitely not it

Klaus and Tracy ended up being best friends afterwards and they never spoke of that incident ever again even though Dwight sometimes teased them about it

Haven Headcanon

Frank, Sherry and Dwight all band together and try to get everyones birthdate down on a calendar so they can celebrate birthdays when they can. The trio goes around and ask for birthday and mark it on a calendar. Everyone's birthdate is pretty easy to get, except Troy's.

The Otto doesn't want people to know his birthday. Lyn, and Russell already know and that's too many people as is. So Troy either doesn't answer when his birthday is, or gives them made up dates as answers. Russell won't budge on the secret, loyal to a fault even about small things.

Eventually to get the trio (mainly Dwight) off Troy's back, Lyn tells them when Troy's actual birthday is. Although so Troy doesn't have to suffer the ordeal of an actual birthday party, Lyn intervenes. Usually the night before Troy's birthday, she packs up a truck gets Tracy and a probably confused Troy into the truck and heads off. She left info and instructions with Russell on where they would be before driving her small family to a cabin in the woods she had found on a run awhile, untrusting Russell to help her fix it up a bit it was now able to live in and worked as a suitable get away for the trio.

There Lyn ensures Troy can enjoy his birthday in peace, doing whatever he likes, even pretending it wasn't his birthday. But Lyn still makes his favorite dinner, or some version of it, and she and Tracy present Troy with a present for his birthday during dinner.

— some Safe Haven Newtmas headcanons 🫂

Thomas would often feel the need to ask Newt how he's feeling because of his leg pain that somehow only grew worse after being so close to the past Gone before receiving the cure;

Every time that happened, Newt would say it's fine, even if it wasn't. He knew if he told Thomas the truth, the brunet wouldn't let him help the community and work on their little farm for the rest of the day (it's his favorite activity, and also makes him feel useful).

Now that they actually had time to sit, talk and know each other better, Newt would spend hours telling Thomas his Glade stories from the time the brunet hadn't arrive yet;

Thomas would listen to it with a smile on his face, relieved that now everything was over and Next could rest and remember about the days of the Glade by the good bits.

Somehow they found an old record player and vinyls from before the Sun Flares in Safe Haven, and they sat together in silence just listening to songs for the first time.

During bonfires, Newt would stay up late chatting with their friends. Thomas would also stick around but, after feeling exhausted, would just sleep with his head on Newt's lap.

Stolen glances;

Hugs that lasted way longer than usual;

Acts of service and helping each other with their tasks once they were done with their own.

Newt started to question their relatioship after a while, especially when he would find Thomas helping or playing with the kids of the community and he noticed his heart would flutter at the view for some reason;

Thomas also started to look at Newt differently, mostly because everytime he would sleep on Newt's lap during bonfires, the blond woke him up with a sweet, low voice, whispering right next to his ear so they could get up and go to bed and his heart would stop.

Still, none of them would bring it up, afraid the other didn’t feel the same and they would only destroy their friendship.

But they didn't need to, of course, because Minho was the first one to bring up the fact they had feelings for one another the second he noticed how oblivious the two were.

Now for those who didn’t listen to that space, Martin said that Linda called her to say goodbye but never specified how it went of course. Besides “hey Susan I’m leaving sorry this is really impacting my mental health” “gaaaaaaaaaaey”/j

This is all a personal headcanon but I like to think that their friendship grew incredibly distant ever since Linda married Felix, Susan probably stopped talking to her altogether for a while and it would leave Linda very confused and upset. They might’ve started talking to eachother again a little bit as the series of events began to approach but only very brief small talk, maybe Linda complaining a little and giving Susan a few life updates and them both talking about stuff they’ve been noticing with others lately (especially Felix’s drinking), but nothing deeper than that.

I see Susan being extremely emotionally closed off to most people except maybe a select few that she knows very closely, so if you were to ask her what’s going on in her life she’d give you a very vaguely watered down version and not what’s actually going on or how she’s really managing herself emotionally.

So basically she used to be more open with Linda, but during that period she sort of just started treating her like a stranger.

So when Linda called her first to tell her that she’s finally leaving, Susan acted how she usually would, keeping it calm, understanding and respectful and wishing her luck, but she won’t really show any more than that. Or that she cried later and felt pretty bad that they couldn’t be so close anymore and that she’ll probably never be able to make up for herself acting so distant for the past many years again.

Of course this all comes from how I view Susan as a character myself though and also the fact that I refuse to pass up the idea that she has feelings for Linda. I like to think that she introduced her to Felix cuz Linda was getting more desperate to find a relationship and Susan was getting weird thoughts so in a panic she shoved her off to him so she could avoid the urges. They’ve been boiling within her since highschool and she always was able to push them aside or excuse them as “she’s just my very close friend I don’t have many close friends so she feels extra special” and as the years went by they began distracting her a lot from her work and were growing stronger and more unavoidable aaand they were really beginning to affect how she’d interact with Linda and you see Susan hates feeling like another has any control over her and Linda just wouldn’t shut up about hooooow badly she wants a relationship and hoooow many dates keep failing and Susan was at the point to where she was starting to get the kind of dreams that make you stare up at the ceiling in horror when you open your eyes in the morning so one day when she overheard Felix speaking about being single and wanting to start looking around, she decided to introduce her to him. Susan allegedly never finds a problem she can’t fix in some way so that was her solution.

They hit it off, Susan’s solution isn’t working for some reason cuz she doesn’t feel any relief at all and in fact feels worse but just sucks it up and just focuses on her work and looks the other way. Linda and Felix get married, Susan feels like throwing up the entire day and now feels somehow even more worse by now and suddenly whenever Linda wants to chat she’s suddenly always “busy” every time. Susan’s often busy anyways but you know yourself when there’s a difference between “shit I’m busy that day, let’s do Sunday instead” and “Sorry I can’t, I’m busy��, “I don’t know when I’ll be available.”

While Linda and Felix were dating, Susan probably assumed that she was just jealous that she couldn’t have a little fun at her age herself. When they got married, Susan told herself that she’s probably so depressed over it cuz it’s making her feel like she’s fallen behind others her age and that maybe she feels bitter that all of these people are moving on and going through these important life stages while she remains behind. Which made no sense otherwise cuz Susan couldn’t give any less of a fuck about starting any sort of family or going out. But that’s what Susan would tell herself that she feels so she wouldn’t have to think about it any further. By the time Susan thinks she’s over whatever it was, she begins having brief talks with Linda occasionally. Not often and still a bit distant, but way better than before.

So yeah can you imagine how shitty and guilty Susan felt that whole time of her weird bitterness toward Linda being in a relationship and not being able to approach her much anymore or how Felix turned out to be such a shitty husband.

If this headcanon is aligned with twf’s canon, she’d probably be dead before she even gets to actually acknowledge and accept her feelings as they are. Such is life though. Not like she could’ve done anything about it.

So, I have decided to give myself a dopamine rush and talk about my headcanons for Thominho, Thomas being scared of thunder.

Ever since thunder almost turned Thomas deaf, Thomas has an internal PANIC when he sees lightning and thunder.

The lightning is mostly because he thinks of Minho— how he was so scared of him dying. How something could *hurt* his love.

(^ important to note, I also believe in both adorable and comedic ideals that Thomas gets mad at anything that hurts Minho, even if it's an inanimate object. "HOW DARE YOU HURT MY BOYFRIEND, YOU HAVE COMMITTED THE GRAVEST OF SINS" then he just kicks the chair Minho tripped and landed on his face because of)

Anyway, Thomas REFUSES to let Minho walk outside while thunder is going on. He would most likely blame himself

^ Minho wouldn't push this, because he knows how much Thomas cares about it, even if it's dramatic overreaction

Thomas SEETHES whenever Minho teases him about thunder, and Minho soon learned to NOT MESS WITH TOMMY WHEN HE'S BEING OVERPROTECTIVE, that's how you get a couch to sleep on

*But Thomas never lets Minho sleep without him with thunder going on. He wants Minho constantly beside him.*

- Wesley doesn’t actually feel as strongly about keeping Nel’Vari shut off from the world as he comes off — it’s just the only concept he’s ever known! But, I do think he’d be more interest in the types of goods it could bring to open up, versus the types of people (just how many types of honey exist outside of their little town???)

- Darius isn’t actually as much of a hardass as he makes himself seem. Idk what marriage is like with him, but up until then all that “grr u are MINE FOREVER” once you date him, and being super into being treated like royalty more than like a person and etc. is all just an act he puts on because he feels pressured to be more kingly or whatever before he takes the throne

- Vaan is naturally flirty with most people he meets, not just us. Probably had an encounter with Lynn at some point after landing on, like, her roof or something, where she nearly fainted from his ~smooth moves~. We’re just the only ones lucky enough for him to actually take serious interest in!

(I can’t remember if she’s lived in Sun Haven her whole life or not, but I’d like to think she did some traveling if so)

Random car headcanons I had on my way to work, if cars existed in Sun Haven...

Lucia: Drives a flashy, cherry red convertible.

Nathaniel: Decently knowledgeable car guy. If you need help fixing a flat or troubleshooting some odd problem he's your guy.

Jun: Drives like a mini van or something with space enough to take the kids on trips. Definitely has a coexist sticker on the back.

Liam: Also drives a mini van, but it's a little run down and is a mess full of toys, notebooks, etc... One of the girls spilled beads in the back seat once and he still randomly finds little rainbow beads around years later. He knows he needs to clean it but just hasn't gotten around to it.

Kitty: Doesn't like to drive, but has a pickup for her ranch related needs. Mostly for hauling hay bails and trailers.

Claude: Has a garage of expensive, vintage cars no one has ever seen him drive.

Anne: Definitely drives some type of fancy sports car. It's sleek and flashy. Something that would turn heads.

Lynn: Drives a really big truck full of tools and ore. She literally has to climb to get into it but makes it look so easy.

Catherine: I see her also driving a pickup truck, but something very simple. It fits plant pots and other gardening tools better than other vehicles would. (Yeah a lot of people have pickups but it is a rural area so that only makes sense right?)

Wornhardt: Drives a very practical four door sedan. It's a new model but nothing fancy. Either white or black.

Vaan: Why does he need a car? He can fly. He thinks they're fascinating, though. He loves hanging around somewhere and watching them drive by like fish in a stream.

Iris: Doesn't see a need for one since she doesn't leave her village. She kind of hates all the pollution they cause but understands they're important to the people outside of Nel'Vari.

Wesley: Hates them. Gets really car sick. (Whatever you do, don't pop a joke about him looking a little green).

Xyla: Drives a black 1959 Ford Thunderbird à la Elvira.

Darius: Would never deign to something such as driving himself somewhere. He is driven in the back of a hearse-shaped limousine anywhere he goes.

Donovan: Has a beat up clunker that is falling apart. I mean, how is that thing even still running?

Sorry I don't have headcanons for the other new romanceables. Kai has no legs and I haven't even met the little assassin girl yet.
