my ideal timkon don't get together until they've both already done some queer realizations and dated other guys a little bit, in part because on tim's end, i think he's been in love with kon since he was 17, but at 17 tim didn't even know he was bisexual, forget anything else. and his feelings for kon were so big but also so constant that he didn't even realize they were there or significant because they've always been there and been huge. for years. so he putters along and does his time in the torment nexus (the closet) and languishes a bit but slowly starts to figure it out.

meanwhile kon dates someone, mostly like omg im dating a guy this is ALLOWED !??!?! and its pretty lowkey and casual and doesnt last bc like . super identity issues, right. kon would Never just tell someone, but secrets and casual relationships dont last long etc etc. but just the entire principle of kon dating someone and then being like yeah idk im not really feeling it like hes nice and all but i think hes more interested in like… yknow, my hot bod, than me. its whatever tho. and tim just being SOOOOO mad that someone would date kon and not absolutely adore him. tim will not be unpacking why hes so mad about kon having a shitty boyfriend. obviously its just bc kons his bestie and deserves better. #everyone’s different and this isn’t true for everybody of course:#but a lot of the time we have more control over things than we can see in a difficult moment #like for example #a negative thought is inevitable and not something you can just stop. however you CAN decide from there how you let it effect you #it’s way easier said than done but you genuinely can be like hey I’m going to have a good day today #I like to set my intentions for the day and not allow my trauma nightmares to dictate how my whole day goes #but in order to do that I have to consciously decide that I deserve better and then create that for myself #does this make sense?#do things you know you enjoy/ things that make you feel better. take care of yourself. create little healthy routines to do each day #even if it’s just for 5 or 10 minutes #you have to act to make a genuine positive change in your life and circumstances #tried to say this as well as I could but I struggle w articulating exactly what I mean #like my thoughts are too complex to translate into words #anyways though I just wanted to add this- this post is not to make anybody feel bad whatsoever.#if you struggle with certain disorders and such it genuinely might be close to impossible for you to actually be able to have that control #and that’s okay. it doesn’t make you any less of a person and it is not your fault that you experience those difficulties #I just wanted to remind people that it is possible to control certain aspects of your life and it is possible to snap yourself out of it #I know I need to remember this as often as I can #that’s why I shared it #I hope this makes sense I do not know if it does lmao #(the tags)#my thoughts are so jumbled up. idk what other word to use lmao

The scene that made me laugh is when Tsunami learns how to speak Aquatic and the very first thing she learns how to do is basically swear. Headcannon that squidface is the SeaWing swear that functionally means dickhead. Which I think fits Whirlpool well. I tried to make him as oily as possible. His ears normally droop under the weight of all the hoops. But he's so surprised that they're sticking up quite a bit. He also has some big ears for a SeaWing. All the better to put more hoops in. I may do a bit of a redesign at some point and give him gages because that would be sweet.

Love Tsunami. Next up is a scene that made me cry.

#wings of fire #seawing wof #tsunami wof #whirlpool wof #for real though #tsunami just rolling up and swearing in a bad aquatic accent is peak tsunami energy #She definitely gets Riptide to teach her exclusively vulgar language and how to order food and drinks #Then eventually actually learns the full language #Headcannon that there are aquatic accents #there's a 'royal' accent that all the guards and royal family and those who live close to the palace have where they really annunciate #all of their words with very exact flashes and talon signs #There's a deep water accent where they rely more on flashes #There's a shore accent that's a bit more choppy as they don't speak aquatic as much #Maybe a cold water accent and a reef accent?#And seawings with freckles or birthmarks have trouble doing the flashing parts of aquatic #I like to draw Orca with a big ol birth mark over both of her eyes #which made aquatic very hard for her #Some words she said always seemed like she was screaming because of how bright the flashes were #Tsunami has a weird mix of royal with shore and with dry mouth #dry mouth is the slightly insulitng way of saying a dragon who doesn't speak aquatic naturally but has picked it up #Most of them use only talon signs but Rainwings can mimic the flashes #woof that was a lot of tags

sorry im just thinking about bcs but like. why not add a few smaller scenes of gus interacting with his own men? why does it seem like, in comparison, mike is almost immediately elevated to a higher status than those two in bcs purely because we actually get to see him having normal conversations with gus? like i understand they might not keep the plot moving as well because of the fact obviously if victor is currently doing something it’s because gus told him to etc. but for the most part all of the smaller interactions gus does have with those two ends up being in a somewhat high stress situation where it feels very tense between everyone. and it’s just like damn! is it always like that?? why do those two even care that much about their jobs if their boss is a bit of a dick? etc. i think even an additional scene or two with those guys (either alone or the both of them) talking with gus in a more normal situation could’ve both added a bit more depth into how gus treats his employees (we got a lot with how he treats lyle and co., but not a whole lot with the illegal side of things), how comfortable vic and tyrus feel around him in a calmer setting, and exactly why they both feel the need to be as loyal as they are to the guy.

and also on the other side of this i don't think it'd hurt to maybe elaborate on their pay just a bit..? i'm not saying to randomly put a number out into the atmosphere but i just mean some smaller things like. do they buy nicer things for themselves? what's their housing situation? what's their car situation? are the escalade / yukon their own vehicles or does gus just use those two for business situations? do they use them when they're doing their own stuff off the clock or do they have their own cars? etc. that can also help with understanding their motivations a bit. don't get me wrong i don't think they should be visibly rich or something because that's not what gus would want but just smaller things! cause it's easy to write their loyalty off as Well they probably get paid super well, which i'm sure is true, but if they don't show a single hint of that then what's the point. even something as simple as giving tyrus a nice watch, or maybe victor having a nicer looking gun, etc. something small like that. because as it stands right now the average 41 year old viewer who watched the show once only knows and will only ever know victor and tyrus as those two guys in the background who do random stuff for gus with no clear motivation. just the personification of "On it boss (salute emoji)". and to be honest this is true for a whole lot of fans who do watch the show multiple times and enjoy thinking about it more in depth, because on screen we barely have anything about the two.

and to be clear i'm not trying to say we should have an episode just for them or something like no i understand they're side characters. i understand we don't need all that. and i understand this is also primarily Jimmy's show. but it's not like these two are on the same level as like, arlo or paige and kevin etc. these guys have been around since brba. victor was literally introduced in the same episode gus was. and they are a huge part of gus's story, especially in brba. s4 wouldn't have been what it was without victor and tyrus. and in bcs, ignacio's situation wouldn't have been the same if it weren't for victor and tyrus as well. and i just personally believe that if their goal with gus in bcs was to go back and elaborate on how everything came to be and show what he was like a few years younger, they could've dragged victor and tyrus into that. and i think his character would've benefited from taking that extra step with those two.

I went into bg3 fully ready to have a good time and have done so despite many ways in which the game is not good and have not worried too much over various dramas about patch changes but my chill streak has finally ended and I am wailing gnashing my teeth etc. about patch 7 (the supposedly final one with story/content changes) not adding companion reactivity for any of the durge content in act 2

#gotta regain my chill about this. it doesn't change the good version of bg3 that exists in my head #but like. durge is literally the protagonist character. and a huge chunk of story is just bizarrely missing from act two #all the baddies recognize you and no one reacts #warden says you were an important guest no one reacts #kressa says she had a great time torturing you for weeks no one reacts #and it's so misaligned with companion reactivity for everything else. like #I am one of those players who goes around the camp circle talking to every single companion after anything even mildly important happens #to hear the couple of lines of dialogue they have about it #because they've got a couple of lines of dialogue about every plot development and significant moment in other companion storylines!#but they don't have a single word for enormous central plotline revelations about the player character #it makes the act 3 reactions bizarre too because everyone's shocked by what gortash says and it's like #literally everyone in moonrise was like 'oh hey it's you again' what did you THINK 😭#a lot of people complain about the resist!durge final scene after killing orin being lackluster #and yeah sure I feel it's lacking in a few ways but like. at least it exists.#a cutscene does play and afterwards the companions do react. ymmv on whether those reactions are impactful or fitting #but they do--crucially--exist #whereas in act 2 there is straight up nothing #when people say right in front of the companions 'hello fellow villain fancy seeing you back here again'#there is not even so much as a 'dude are you okay' after kressa talks about keeping durge prisoner and torturing them #okay okay it's fine I'm getting it out of my system I'm gonna be normal about this again #the companions had reactions in the good version that exists in my head 😔#scribblingface plays bg3 #okay actually also like larian has made so many changes based on fans complaining a lot about something #often changes that made the complaining people happy but pissed off everyone who already liked the current version #not weighing in on the merit of various specifics but it has struck me as a sometimes odd and unwise degree of #listening to what the players want. like just tell your story and accept that some parts won't please everyone #but THIS THING is universally agreed on by every durge player #because it's not something 'wrong' it's something completely absent that should have been there in order to align with the rest of the game #and yet. we don't get this change in the final update.

Playing dao on hard mode is both extremely frustrating and insanely fun. I am getting my ass kicked and have reloaded a save five times in a row but I refuse to give up I will clear this game and all the dlc on hard mode I swear it
