bollywood is not the place to make statements about fat shaming etc etc but there was almost smth valid in seeing any jokes about what whatshername ate clearly coming from ...people were not supposed to like?

rocky and rani were actually quite sweet, despite the ...extraness

i think the film kind of rolled over this as rocky was supposed to be wealthy, but there's a great deal of elitism in the sort of attitude Rani and her family have towards Rocky. It makes me wonder what this film would be if he didn't ... colour coordinate his cars to his clothes and live in a replica whitehouse. like on one hand it's arguably his wealth that makes him able to be the way he is, but on the other hand, the traditional/modern divide that they were showing is typically also a class divide. there's no reason for rockys english to not be good as he is now - and nothing apart from personal taste and "traditionalism" for them to critique, even though rocky isn't actually that traditional in comparison to his family, and even if he was, they - esp at the start - didn't know that

on the other hand I don't know a lot of Bengali people or a lot of Punjabi people so it may just be like a culture shock thing they're going for. idk. i understand it, i just think it's a little bit of a miss for a genuine criticism on their laughing at him

the grandparents element was funny lmao. like what's going on THERE. but it was almost kind of sweet, too, the way they just ...liked spending time together I guess

all I could think during the ranveer dance routine was how much time did it take him to learn that dbdndndjdjf but that was excellent

You know, I wish more frights happened in the office. I really wished there was a scene of an animatronic appearing right outside and Mike just shutting the door in fear. It also added more frights when this was a door you could open but they didn’t use it. Also, the animatronics supposedly HAVE gone into the office when Mike was asleep. It would have been fun if, for example, when all the kids in his dream hurt him, that they cut to the animatronics irl beating him up.

I actually thought it would be way more gory??? Not even the springlock suit scene was that gory tbh.

How tf did Golden Freddy appear in their house??? I am guessing due to him being a special case with more supernatural powers than the others, he can just do that. But it’s interesting. Also he randomly killed their aunt lol.

Here’s my two cents at least with what stood out to me— Leonardo in my head honestly would love spiders. He finds them super fascinating and admirable, and it’s a bonus since they keep pests away. Between him and Ezio, Leonardo would gladly volunteer for spider duty (I.e. letting them out into a safe environment). Hell, Leonardo probably intervened before Ezio gets a chance to roll up some paper.

Not familiar enough with Jacob and Arno, but between those two I see Arno as more someone who’d be scared of crawlies from what little I know. Jacob probably ate a spider or two as a kid. Also Evie wouldnt be afraid of spiders.

Edward and Haytham I could see with not liking spiders (I think Haytham being scared of spiders would be funny but tbh I see him as indifferent. But I do like that idea still— I’m holding both thoughts simultaneously. neither of them were particularly focused on the Big Picture and that was part of why they worked so well together, much to the disappointment of parents on both sides. they could see into the future so far as their grand plans of exciting and romantic adventures, but most of their focus was on enjoying their time in the present to the fullest without worries of what was to come later. which is entirely why long-term commitment was never discussed between them, though it was probably assumed?? given how deep their feelings were. 

If they had the ability to just spend free time with their partner, what would they do? Would they go out or stay inside?

mmmmm i think 9/10 times they would choose to go out, which shows how hilariously privileged they were before things went downhill. they'd get up to a lot of things but their favorites would have been dancing, walking the markets, and frequenting their favored meal spots. the kinda couple that were always in contact of some kind while out together, but it was hard to tell if that was fully motivated by affection alone or if they also wanted to be a little obnoxious and in-your-face about their happiness and attraction to each other. (it was for sure both.)

hmm. i don't know if riya's reached an Adoration level with him. the closest thing i can think of here (so i can give an actual answer) would be closer to a moment of Appreciation. my memory won’t provide what scene was going down when it happened, but i do remember there being a moment during a session where as a player i realized oh, this guy is the only one here who is actively going through something similar to riya. because while everybody else in the party has already been exposed to such things through their own varied experiences, riya was having her worldviews torn apart piece by piece with each revelation of how bad things are with the templars and the circle (and the world outside of her tiny view in general tbh) beyond cumberland and she was not doing great. so yeah it sucks leroux had to confront that the system he’s trusted and worked in for however long was allowing—and even encouraging!!—terrible things to happen right under his nose, but it gave riya a moment of being able to recognize that she wasn’t alone in having her views and faith flipped on their head. and as a lil extent of that, his commitment to taking action after the revelations helped influence her own attitude towards the entire white spire magebreak :) 

on the other side, clearly leroux was besotted at first meeting. duh. just look @ that smile of hers, how could he not be (aka i won’t make assumptions on his end lmao)

Thoughts on s2?

im very 50/50 on it to be honest, there were some parts that i really liked but all in all i liked season 1 so much more

i loved that they changed alina's ending, i hated how the trilogy ended and i'm book m/alina's number one hater so i did not give a fuck that they broke them up tbh. i was fine with them in the show in s1 but in s2 they bored me to tears and they got together way too fast in my opinion. also i think she had way more chemistry with nikolai so even though zoyalai is one of my otps i don't mind that if the show gets cancelled they're kind of endgame here, since i'll always have the books. and i'm so here for dark!alina!!

for the crows part, i loved the kanej scenes from the books even if they were completely out of order lmao but amita and freddy has amazing chemistry so i ate up all their scenes i think wesper was very rushed, i don't like how they made them sleep together prior and i think their dynamic is the most different from their book counterparts, but if we don't get s3/a spinoff at least they're endgame now one of my biggest gripes with this season is NOT ENOUGH HELNIK!! i truly hoped that even though we wouldnt get the ice court heist they would break matthias out of hellgate in the second part of the season in like individual storylines for them, even though i did not like how quickly kaz took down pekka, freddy's performance was amazing in episode 4, truly one of the highlights of the season for me. and my girl nina had so many amazing scenes this season i was very happy for her. i think jesper was a bit sidelined this season compared to the previous one, but i loved the dream/hallucination scene with his mom and it was great to see him embracing his powers; its going to be interesting how the heist plot changes now that he's not hiding it wylan is very much still a blank slate which i like, bc thats similar to how it was in the first book. matthias being plagued by sex dreams was basically the only thing he had going on but you know what im not complaining lmao inej already leaving to hunt down slavers was a change i did not like, and what was that look between her and tolya??? i was bamboozled. i also feel like they erased a huge part of her backstory and trauma, which i hope they'll rectify given the chance, my insane conspiracy theory is that tante heleen isn't actually dead and she'll show up at the ice court

Oh yeah for sure! Sukuna gets his hands on a cursed object and would immediately think of how to use it for his own personal game, namely power. (I do think it's also kinda fun to consider the similarities between Mei Mei and Sukuna as a sorcerer tbh)

And oooo! Uraume being from a clan similar to the Inumakis is really fun! Also like the idea of them being vassals to a more powerful clan. And even in those circumstances, Uraume would likely be some kind of outcast themselves for getting "given" to Sukuna. After all, it would be a disgrace to serve a bastard like that. It would also give Sukuna and Uraume something to bond over, maybe the basis of their relationship, and what starts them being genuinely loyal to one another.

But oooo the tension of Sukuna being from the Kamo clan! That is fun! One of the most under explored aspects of jjk imo is all the political intrigue that's set up and then not really capitalized on to the fullest extent. So yeah. Sukuna being a Kamo and feeling a bitterness towards Noritoshi is a lot of fun. Also, real. Kenjaku does definitely enjoy fucking with the major clans, but esp the Kamos.
