Guys, the new year hasn’t started for me yet, I still got a few hours to go but I’ll mine-as-well make this post since I’ll probably go to bed anyways- 😂

It really makes me think how all of you guys really like and appreciate my art, and the fact that so many people encourage me to keep doing it, it brings me to tears! 🥹

I bring this up because I think Tumblr is the REASON why I improved so much! I experimented with brushes (digitally) and I found my brushes!! I learned how to EXAGGERATE AND ACTUALLY DRAW CARTOONY LIKE I’VE WANTED TO FOR SO LONG!!

(And NEVER took an art class. That’s fucking what- 💀 I need to take one I actually need to at this point-)

Also also also- I’ve learned a lot of things! Anatomy, exaggerative expression, stretchy cartooniness, ALL OF THESE ARE JUST- I can’t believe I’ve learned all this because one day I decided: “Maybe I should ACTUALLY get a social media for my art? 🤔” AND I DID IT AND CHANGED MY LIFE‼️‼️‼️

For everyone who wanted bullfighter Nando when I mentioned it the other day, here you go :D

#did you know bullfighters dedicate their kill to a friend or member of the public by giving them their hat?#i really wanted to draw silly vettonso where fernando offers seb his hat #seb retires from bullfighting(yeah its an au now) and fernando in his green costume is like;#'here is my hat. now will you come back from retirement? 🥺'#but yeah feel very abnormal abt that ^ and also the thing abt them having someone who helps them get into their costume as a sacred ritual #theres just a lot of thoughts and ideas floating around in my head bcs of it #anyways i liked drawing this but it was very suffering too and took me like 5 hours #its like. you see the intricate embroidery and im like ah! omg! i love painting details!!!#and then remember im not the best w coming up with ideas for the embroidery pattern itself #so pls bear with me 😭😭 mainly i was trying to reference the diamond logo of renault #but most of it kinda just ended up being austrian knots i guess bcs thats what my mind defaults to #i thought the shoulder pad would be the most difficult but that came together the easiest and made the rest actually work in my head #aaahhh also im surprised w the angle of his face! im usually not good at side profiles as well as tilted down heads #but i think he looks pretty good honestly???#also w the sketch i just wanted to post it bcs i liked his face okay 😭😭😭#i wanted to paint it too but I realized im so naive thinking i could paint two of these horrifically detailed things in one session #but his face 🥹🥹 i like it!!! theres some renault era pic of him i really like where hes sun drenched and angry looking #^ and i think i captured the vibe well so!!!!!#well anyways mayhe ill draw more of this. it was fun but also like sucked my life force out bcs it kept going from easy to 'I CANT DO THIS'#the pictures of matadors are just...insane to me. tiny waist fat ass flamboyant costume. im dead 🫠#f1 #formula 1 #fernando alonso #catie.art.#fa14 #matador au

Since I don't want it to be stuck in Debate Hour Jail forever, today I bring you a Hot Take(tm):

Validar would be a good-looking guy if IntSys stopped making him gray.

My evidence?

I UN-GRAYED HIM MY DAMN SELF, SINCE THEY WON'T.

In both Original Sinister Eyeshadow flavour and the ALL NEW Slightly More Chill Eyeliner flavour.

...Okay, okay, so I changed a few things aside from just the skin tone, but it genuinely does not take much to make him good looking. Here, Ana even made a side-by-side comparison! Do you see how little changed!!! And yet how much better he looks!!!

The philosophy with Validar's design, as far as I can tell, is to make him look genuinely inhuman to sell you on how irredeemably evil he is. To make him look dead, keeping in theme with his role as leader of the apocalypse cult and known controller of zombies.

That's where you get the gray skin tone. The lightless eyes, the vertical slit pupils. The lack of eyebrows that makes his expression harder to read. The way the sinister eyeshadow shapes his face. The weird ass impossible wrinkle on his forehead. It's to make him inhuman and hard to read. And beyond that; his long face and willowy proportions are a pretty far cry from most of the other characters in the game, the ones intended to be attractive.

HOWEVER. IF YOU JUST... MAKE HIM LOOK HUMAN, AND CHANGE NOTHING ELSE.

THIS IS WHAT YOU GET.

Literally all you have to do is:

Give him an actual human skin tone

Give him back his eyebrows

Tell him to stop squinting 24/7

Make the wrinkle on his forehead plausible instead of whatever the fuck it does in canon

Round out his pupils and put a little shine in his eyes

And very suddenly the man is, dare I say, handsome.

Willowy proportions, slim face, and high cheekbones are not inherently bad-looking traits. It's genuinely JUST the eyes and the skin tone that ruin his looks. Hell, even the eyeshadow can stay once you fix those things. Look at him. Look me in the eyes and tell me Edited Validar wouldn't be a niche but beloved tumblr sexyman if he were canon.

He's so close to being pretty. His personality and moral values are absolutely rancid. But his face ain't.

ALSO CAN YOU IMAGINE if the default Robins looked a little more like him? They would look GOOD. WE WERE DOUBLY ROBBED I TELL YOU.

I think that Red Thread!Sunny wouldn't even bat an eye at randomly seeing Aubrey and Basil making out behind the church when Aubrey should be delivering pastries in the city, maybe the client's order tidy and nicely put on the grass, forgotten for a minute.

Not batting an eye at least physically, but internally probably scoffing and cursing Basil for distracting Aubrey from her job, pastries will not forever be warm after all.

Again seeing the tall figure of Aubrey getting more meek and shy that usual because of Basil, who is significantly tinier that her, is amusing. So Sunny doesn't really say anything, prefering to not disclose to Aubrey that maybe their little lovebird spot is a bit too close to the path he takes everyday.

Maybe he tells Mari out of amusement.

A bit annoyed, too.

Aubrey's new and probably first boyfriend. And Mari is happy for her, her beloved friend finally finding someone that she's content with. Sunny's happy too. Already marveling over meeting the boy when Aubrey is ready enough to tell about her little love.

Sunny does not tell who the love is.

Mari pouts when he doesn't tell.

Are you fucking serious? Yes, I am very hyperfixated on Adam (sackler) does that mean I've completely forgotten about Kylo and magically lost all feelings for him? Absolutely NOT.

Kylo is and always will be my number one, ultimate main. Hell I changed my username to something that aligns with my ship (the nickname he calls me!)

I am always thinking about Kylo in one way or another. Just because I'm not talking about him (publically here) a lot doesn't mean I love him any less! Yes I am pissed at this. Yes I am annoyed that whoever sent that had the audacity to think such a thing.

I love Kylo with my entire being, if you stuck around and seen my gush posts about him you'd know. You would ALSO know that Sackler is actually right up there with Kylo in terms of how I feel about him as he continually helps me through things irl (mental state)

this man is also literally helping me to love my own body because of the way he canonical acts as well which I have posts of. Hell I have a little fic called Motivated about it

So don't come in here and tell me how to feel. Both him and Kylo mean a lot to me in different ways so sit down and shut your mouth.(directed at the anon)
