Danny never would have thought he would end up being a janitor at an academy for rich kids in Gotham, a thought passed by as he mopped the floors diligently.

Despite his early years of being a vigilante, he hangs his cape the moment he noticed other heroes popping up as well as being able to fix the Infinite Realms. The JL members used to look for Phantom to offer their tillage and wisdom but when the Ghost King, himself, was able to have some sort of compromise between the humans and ghosts, Amity became a hotspot for the paranormal under the protection of the Ghost king when the Ecto acts had been destroyed in favor for the meta law.

Phantom disappeared, it was one running theory that he finally left to rest, or even that he became a permanent ghost knight for the king as some sort of knighthood for protecting both humans and ghosts during hard times.

The explosion in the Nasty Burger still happened but instead of having all of his loved ones die in that tragic fate, he managed to save his best friends as well his sister. Vlad tried to take them in as a way to show his good faith as well as to show remorse for the things he had done and now trying to make it up to the children. At first, the trio and sister are skeptical as both siblings are the last remnants of his beloved Maddie. But he had proved himself to be a better person despite his quirks, which is his obsession that turned into some sort of protection/obsession/love towards the people he considered family after their deaths.

Danny is now free to enjoy his remaining human life before he joins the afterlife permanently. As much as he wanted to go and join NASA in space, he couldn’t even pass the physical exam to join the program. So, he took his sister’s advice to enjoy his life to the last bit this world has to offer. Even if he still wasn’t crowned king, he started acting king as well as attending various lessons to become king. Vlad offered Danny to be his heir at his company but he refused stating that being a king is already hard work. Add to the fact he had a limitless and infinite amount of funds that he could simply travel the world as many times as he wanted as well splurge money as if it was candy he would still have infinite funds in his treasury. He had joined his now daughter to enjoy the wonders of the world as well visiting and touring to the endless worlds that connected to the Infinite realms. But once he had finished his travels, he had exponentially grown into a fine man in his late 30s. Gaining Jack’s height whilst Maddie’s built, he is a very definition of a twink.

But he wanted to lay low, something mundane, something that can keep him busy as he was itching to do something ever since he returned to his hometown. As much as he had grown, he is still having the mind of an impulsive teen in his teens and threw a dart in which state to settle in and took a computer generator to choose which job to do.

Gotham and the janitor were the ones that showed up and landed a dart in. He thinks it is perfect as not many would be looking into a janitor.

He packed up his things and applied for a job in Gotham Academy as a janitor and immediately settled in his small apartment in Crime Alley when he received approval for his new job.

It has been a week in his new job and he couldn’t be prouder than being able to blend in without the use of his powers. Messing up his hair to make his head a rat’s nest as well as adding some soot in his face, hands, arms, and overalls to make him look like a homeless who had got the job out of pure luck as he kept his back hunch like Clark Kent, Yes he is not slick in hiding in plain sight as he had gotten away in inverted colors but those glasses are not doing a great job.

This new school year he felt that there has been a new buzz in the atmosphere as real Blood Wayne is now attending. The real son of Bruce Wayne one of the rumors said, he had observed in the far at the kid and he looked like his father aside from his colors.

He noticed the kid is not comfortable around the others who tried to talk to him. Broke some spoiled kid’s nose for talking too much about being friends in the right sort. Some girls tried to get close to him by touching his shoulder or being too near his bubble and broke the poor girl’s wrist. Talked too formally and weirdly that he didn’t have any friends aside from Superman’s son, honestly that poor disguise is being passed from Superman to the son at least Bruce Wayne has the sense to have separate personalities from his playboy persona to his Batman persona.

Honestly, he couldn’t even blame the kid for the things he had done that landed him in the principal’s office.

One day when he was taking his lunch in a hidden place in the academy when the door suddenly slammed open and quickly entered the Blood Prince aka Damian Wayne, and immediately relaxed at the door being shut. He quickly looked alarmed at the stranger in the same room but after telling to Damian that he is the school’s janitor by showing his id to prove immediately and visibly relaxed. But to Danny’s eyes, he still looked ready to pounce at Danny for breathing wrong.

A small grumble of stomach destroyed the tension in the room, as Damian Al Ghul Wayne began to feel embarrassed for not only forgetting his lunch, not noticing the janitor, and even being cornered by kids who wish him harm. Damian still didn’t understand why his father had forbade him to fight anyone who are disrespectful to him, leaving him no choice but to run like a coward. The janitor that he had seen a few times around the academy offered him his sandwich which he tries to deny as he is vegetarian, the janitor Daniel, pulled out a vegetarian sandwich that he kept, as he explained that it became a habit of him when his friend who is also a vegetarian forgot their lunch.

Reluctantly Damian received and thanked the janitor and hesitantly took a bite but was surprised at the flavor of the generous amount of vegetables as well as some substitutes that gave so much flavor. Then Daniel, call him Danny he insisted, and offered him a small Tupperware filled with various fruits as dessert. Both began to chat about mindless things up until the bell rang as a reminder at lunchtime ended. Danny called out that Damian is always welcome at this little hidden place to escape or just have a quiet time by himself, Damian just nodded silently and the next day Damian appeared at the door and asked for Danny’s permission to enter the room which Danny laughed and gestured Damian to enter.

From that day on a bond formed between the two.

Damian would spend his lunch breaks and free time in the safety of the hidden room and he is always greeted by Danny still in his soot-filled overalls and messy and rat-like hair in a corner. As they both eat their respective lunches each day, slowly but surely Damian became open to the humble janitor, He would pop different questions starting with the mundane and normal questions and about the vocabulary of normal teenagers that his brothers use some absurd words that left him frustrated at the meaning nor the action behind it. Danny happily answered Damian’s question as Damian would come home each day becoming a real boy.

This made some of the Wayne kids horrified at who taught this demon spawn what yeet means. Some cackled at what could they do to further corrupt Damian. Damian let the rest of his supposed siblings come up with whatever theory on how he learned such vocabulary as it was, he and Danny’s little island of secret and peace at school, away from his imbeciles of brothers as well his noisy classmates.

Danny stared at the piece of an envelope as if it had offended him. Vlad asked him if he could be his plus one at the upcoming Wayne gala for another charity by Bruce Wayne and since Brucie Wayne was not getting younger he had thrown a masquerade ball as a theme in the said gala since it was nearing the Halloween season. Danny had thought about denying the invite but with the thought of Vlad rarely asking Danny things he reluctantly called Sam. Despite distancing herself from her surname she kept some of her connections during her teens and got Danny a good tailor for a suit that resembles during the Victorian era with the color scheme black and silver add a toxic green and silver mask which he crafted himself that goes well with his suit that covers his entire upper face leaving his mouth and hair visible.

When Vlad picked him up, he noticed that he got him got slacked jawed at Danny’s overall appearance. Maybe it is because he had straightened up his back and showed his real height, maybe it’s because of his tiny waist that is visible despite wearing a full vest and suit or maybe it is because of the mysterious air that Danny seemed to surround him with as he demands command and respect just standing silently as he let Vlad gawk and compare between the badger and feral little shit during his teenage years to the person sitting across the limousine looking like a noble right out of the Victorian era.

Bruce didn’t pick for tonight’s gala theme but due to Dick’s insistence that Damian never actually experienced a masquerade ball along with Jason’s persuasion to attend the gala so that he could live out his nerd self-made, Bruce made it real. Now all of his children are scattered and he could see Tim at the edge of the window the verge of passing out. Dick drags Damian to enjoy the theme while Jason is releasing his inner theater kid using the other higher population of Gotham as his supposed audience for his dramatics. Since no one can see which masked guests contain the Waynes made it is easier to ignore and evade both media as well the upper socialite of Gotham.

He was about to grab a glass of champagne from the tray of a passing waiter when he fainted slipping to enter his Brucie persona when he was immediately grabbed from his waist as if to watch him.

As he is about to thank the man for catching him, he wasn’t about to slip, when he suddenly forgot how to talk.

The man introduced himself as Nightgale and both men seemed to hit off. Both felt comfortable in each other’s company so they both escaped the main lobby that contains the guests as they both chat amicably at the porch without noticing the cold wind bothering the two. Bruce never once went into his Brucie persona nor he felt the man was lying.

Bruce was about to introduce himself when he heard the loud crashing of the window allowing Joker and his goons to enter the gala thus destroying the mood.

Bruce didn’t let it show but he is annoyed at the Joker’s timing as he tried to escape to change into Batman. Suddenly Nightgale grabbed him by the wrist and carried him outside bridal style, Bruce didn’t suddenly feel his heartbeat suddenly getting faster he didn’t feel his ears getting warmer as Nightgale seem to carry him out to safety, no he didn’t. Some goons tried to stop the two but Nightgale continued after he had quickly disposed of the goons that blocked their way. He didn’t feel his heart skip a beat at the fact that this man seemed to protect Bruce, the Batman like he was some princess in need of saving.

Both he and Nightgale suddenly found themselves in a hidden garden that only the Waynes knew of. Bruce didn’t feel his breath taken away by this mysterious man when he let Bruce onto his feet once again as the moon shines at them making Nightgale look so ethereal.

As soon as Nightgale heard the stroke of midnight he left Bruce after kissing the back of his hand as he kneeled in revelry.

Bruce didn’t freeze at the spot; Bruce didn’t get himself tranced at the event and had Alfred fetch him and drove him back to the manor. Bruce didn’t act like a girl in high school, squealing at having her crush notice her and ask her out as he sat behind the car back to the manor.

After teasing their father at his predicament, they are now invested in the man who seemingly took their father’s attention as well as able to develop some sort of crush on him at the gala. Jason is fully invested as he read too many novels and now sees Bruce as a main character in need of help to find his prince charming.

Danny is just minding his own business as he kept sneezing at random times and asked himself if the dead can get sick.

Nawwaf's life has been full of ups and downs. His mother did her best to raise him as a single mom, but she struggled to keep a job and they were homeless by the time he was a toddler. She decided to make the difficult decision to give him up for adoption when she ran out of money to feed them.

As a child, Nawwaf was adopted by Brennan and Addisyn Solis. They moved him into their three bedroom high rise in San Myshuno and he immediately felt culture shock. It took him a while to get adjusted to always having more than enough and it still surprises him sometimes. He channeled his complex emotions into his art and was starting to show real promise. Then high school happened.

His first year of high school was one of the worst years of his life. Being a creative outcast with an Arabic name, he was the target of intense bullying. His parents tried to help him, but they lived a very privileged life and have never been able to truly understand his struggles. Something inside of him hardened that year and he came back sophomore year a changed person.

As part of this change, he started to work out all the time and gave into some of the high fashion trends that his classmates wore. He even gave up art and joined the football team. Now he could both blend in better and stand up for himself. However, he lost himself along the way and it all became twisted when he started to join the bullies. He even started to push them to go further, especially with the physical violence.

Flash forward to the end of junior year and he has officially been expelled. In just one school year, he got caught starting fifteen different fights and accused of ten others. His new found mean streak has even spilled over into his attitude toward his teachers and his parents. The final straw was when the last fight sent three boys to the hospital with one now having permanent brain damage from the severe concussion he received.

Nawwaf's parents are truly at their wits end about what to do with him. They adopted him later in life and are now elders just trying their best, but in truth they are scared of the path that he is going down. They have tried talking with him and just spend time with him to show that they are there. Unfortunately, it all just leads to arguments with Nawwaf leaving the room screaming at them. Feeling like they have no other choice, Brennan and Addisyn are enrolling Nawwaf in New Dawn to hopefully get back their quiet, creative little boy.

A Guy

Dear Future Husband,

It's been several months since I've heard from CousinAR, who is freshly back from seminary and getting ready to start college, but on Thursday she messaged to say hey and also ask about my shidduch resume and what I'm looking for. And then she and her mom CousinES called me to discuss.

Because it's about a guy.

I'm pretty sure it's not you though, for quite a few reasons.

Reason #1:

I don't think our families would be compatible.

He's apparently from a yeshivish family with like ten kids, they all do impressive things for work, and they grew up in a very fancy place.

Me? Not so much. To pretty much all of the above.

I think I wouldn't fit in well at all with his siblings.

And I've been an oddball for so much of my life that if/when I get married I want it to be with a family that feels like family.

Or with someone who has literally nothing to do with their family so it's just the two of us in our own happy little bubble.

Either one.

Reason #2:

He has the exact same name as the father of the family that lived. next door to me pretty much my entire first 28 years of life.

MrNextDoor is a very nice, chashuv person. But he's also kind of overbearing and inserts himself into situations where he's not always welcome. I guess social cues are just not his forte.

I will admit that his pushiness has been a benefit on some occasions, as he's been able to accomplish some amazing things including setting up schools, getting neighborhood ordinances followed, and one of my non-frum grandparents actually got a proper burial because he not only insisted on coming to the levaya despite it being an hour away, but also brought proper shovels and stood there in the hot sun with my brother filling in the grave before the bobcat could come and finish the job.

But I'm a weirdo who just can not see past the name.

In a hypothetical situation where we dated and he actually liked me and I liked him and we ended up getting married, there would never be a day in my life where I couldn't say his name and not think of MrNextDoor and it makes me so uncomfortable to even think about.

It's just too ew for me, even if he is a nice guy.

Reason #3:

He's 5 years younger than me.

And in case we haven't covered this ground yet, I'm an agist.

Whenever I hear about an age gap, my first thoughts go to what that time disparity represents.

For one thing, it means that I graduated high school the year he was bar mitzvahed. Which is weird.

For another, it means that he's still in his 20s and I'm so "middle aged" already. lol

And in a lot of ways he's still very young, while I'm just so decidedly not. Not physically, not emotionally.

And that also leads into

Reason #4:

He doesn't have a full time job yet.

He's bounced around a bit in terms of work, trying to find a community where he feels comfortable, and jobs have understandably come along with that kind of moving.

But that also means he's not a settled person. And he's young, he has that option in life. But I'm an old curmudgeon and although we may be compatible in a lot of ways, I need someone who is more settled than I am to be the rock in the relationship.

Reason #5:

He's studying to become a mashgiyach.

Not a yeshivah mashgiyach, but a food mashgiyach.

You may be wondering why that's a reason not to marry someone, and for some people, maybe even a lot of people, that's not a problem.

But I grew up in a household that was built on the instability of a family "supported" by a mashgiyach.

For the first 10 years of my life my father was hardly ever around. He worked odd, long hours out of town and constantly hopped from job to job.

I don't know if things are different now, but at the time mashgiyach work was more like gig work than it was a real job.

In those first 10 years my father worked at 17 different places, but the last two years he was at one location, so it was more like 16 jobs in 8 years.

That's not stability.

And I know we're in galus.

I know we're not supposed to be comfortable.

I know that just because someone has a steady job now doesn't mean they will tomorrow.

And I know that everything is in Hashem's hands.

But I also know that you have to do hishtadlus.

And if you're doing the work of a shoeshine man on the side of a road where nobody walks, you're not going to become a millionaire through your work.

Unless you're a gadol. I'm sure we've all heard those stories.

But for the beinoni - for those of us in the middle, we have to at least attempt steady, stable work at a certain pay grade for Hashem to provide that kind of sustenance.

And I don't see that happening for me with a mashgiyach.

Considering how much the average cost of living is today in the US, generally. And considering how much higher the average cost of living is today in the frum world... I don't see the paycheck of a mashgiyach cutting it to provide for a family, with or without whatever I'm making to contribute.

Reason #6:

I just don't know how to broach the whole "I don't think I can have kids" thing with my cousins.

On the one hand, I don't want to put a stumbling block before the blind by going out and forming relationships with young guys who believe that's a possibility with me.

On the other hand, I know that everything is in Hashem's hands and I know a woman who was told she'd never have kids and went on to have like 15, so just because I think I might not be able to doesn't mean I won't at all.

But having children is his chiyuv, not mine. It should be his decision whether or not to pursue a relationship like that.

So do I not tell CousinAR and her mom, the two people in this equation that I know and trust, about the whole kids thing?

Does even talking about it make it an ayin hara and less likely to happen for me?

Do I keep allowing CousinAR and her mom to make shidduch suggestions for me, all the while keeping this huge secret and finding reason after reason to shut down their suggestions?

Reason #7:

I don't really find him all that attractive.

I know, I know, it's the whole shallow conversation all over again, but it's true.

And again, that's such a hard thing to say to someone who is so excited to make the suggestion in the first place.

"He's so nice! And I was listening to what he was looking for and I just kept thinking you fit all those boxes!"

I've explained that even if I don't think I'm the right person, I'm more than happy to chat with someone even once to see if maybe I know someone else for them.

But

Reason #8:

I'm still a mess of a human. I think we know this. It's been established. We continue to go over this again and again.

And it's sweet that my cousins don't recognize that about me.

But that also means I'm hiding it really well. Which is a problem.

But I think we've covered all of that before...

And so, here we are again.

A nice suggestion, but me lost in the middle just so unsure of how to say "thank you, but no thank you."

I can't be the only one that struggles with this, right?

I already know how and why Harry died. It would have been interesting to see if I could have figured it out. 

Mort has to show up in this book right? His whole thing is a ghost and now Harry’s a ghost.

“The opposition” Jake said. You died because they cheated.” So a fallen angel had a hand in Harry’s death? I thought it was because Harry used Kincaid as a proxy to kill himself so he wouldn’t be the winter knight? Is there more at play here? Do I have a mystery to sink my teeth in? Yay! 

Wait where’s that quote from White Night ah found it “Once you start thinking, Gee maybe that isn’t me thinking about suicide, it kind of falls apart” Could this be apart of it? Could a fallen angel drive Harry to suicide. But if that’s the case then it wouldn’t be suicide it’d be murder right? I wonder which one? Why would the fallen kill Harry now? They’re not even in this book.

On a slight tangent do you think Justin didn’t teach Elaine and Harry certain magic? Or make sure they couldn’t go against him.

“To build on the ruins of the boardinghouse, construction would have to start practically the same day that I died. Actual stone is expensive to build with because it’s difficult and time-consuming. This place was as big as a small castle. It should have taken months and months and months to build. It gone up in six. Probably significantly less, given the weather.

“This place must have cost a damned fortune” pg. 265 Yep I think the castle is a monument to the good Harry’s done and all that he stood for. Marcone must have planned this for a while. It definitely cost a fortune given that I looked up similar relocations, one from the 1925 cost $250,000 inflation would make it $3,213,414.29 in 2011 when the Ghost Story was published. That’s a lot of money. Did Marcone approached Murphy about the Brighter Future Society. Murphy approaches Marcone? What was everyone’s reaction to the castle? Were they mad that Marcone bought the land that was Harry’s home and then built a castle over it? Were they glad they had a headquarters? What was Marcone’s reaction to Harry’s death and ghost? Was there a funeral?  

Did anybody in the White Council mourn? Was there a Worry Room meeting? Oh no what was Ebenezar’s and Thomas’s reaction? 

“Too simple,” I said “Too easy. He’s running some kind of game on you.” pg. 268 Or he could ya know want to help. Honestly Harry Marcone isn’t evil incarnate 

“About five minutes after I get a functional lightsaber” pg. 271 Ha

“I know it wasn’t Marcone” Murphy said. “All trouble shooters have alibis that check out. So did he and Gard and Hendricks.” pg. 275 Why would it be Marcone? Honestly people 

“No going to Marcone for help.” He paused and looked around the room as if he’d never seen it before “Because that would be…unpredictable.” pg. 277 Ha and that’s rich coming from Murphy and Harry as they stand in the castle that Marcone provided and staffed with his men. 

“The real Dresden wouldn’t hesitate.”

“The real Dresden would never have gotten a chance to see them. To talk to them. He’d just skip straight to a fight.” 284 First can we not talk about “real Dresden” second yes things have changed since Harry’s death nobody’s the same anymore not even Harry. 

Yep Kincaid shot Harry. I want to know more about cheating. If we take the fact that the other side pushed Harry then which fallen angel and why? It’s not Lash obviously, maybe Lanciel or Lucifer? What push caused Harry to go through with the shooting? 

“News of my death would shatter Ivy.” pg. 288 Oh no poor Ivy :( Oh no she probably knows it was Kincaid who shot Harry. Oh no, why? 

Surely Harry will get his magic back? Right? 

“The first conscious spell I’d knowingly worked, fully planned, fully visualized, fully realized, had been calling forth a burst of fire.” pg. 296 Of course Harry’s first spell was fire

Final thoughts 

Such a good book. I liked the fights. We got a Bi Harry moment we’re up to 34! Hopefully we can keep the streak up. I loved all the introspection in this book. I loved how much this book shows Harry’s friendship with Bob. I love the cool ghost powers. I like how we got into Harry’s past. I’m glad Maggie is with the Carpenters. I love how this book shows the consequences of the last book with the power vacuum and monsters closing in. I do wonder if the Formor are moving in because of the vacuum or because Harry died or a bit of both. I’m glad I got to see Mort. I do hope Thomas gets better. I wish Marcone was in this book but I think that’s about every book. I do wish we could see his reaction to Harry’s ghost. I wonder if Harry’s friends will tell Marcone about Harry’s ghost? Still waiting for dad Harry moments. 

Harry’s death 

So Harry didn’t commit suicide. He was murdered. I really think “ Once you start thinking, Gee maybe that isn’t me thinking about suicide, it kind of falls apart” applies here. Now why would Kincaid agree to kill Harry? I know Harry owes him one but still. This is going to hurt Ivy; her sort of father figure (Kincaid) shot and killed her only friend (Harry). I don’t like that Harry roped Moly in his death and didn’t tell Thomas. Was this all a part of the fallen’s plans? As for who whispered those words. I think it’s either Lanciel or maybe Lucifer. I want to know why? Why now? I do wish we got to see what Harry’s death curse could be. I do wonder if Harry dying canceled the death curse of die alone?

Harry’s resurrection

I’ve asked this question before but I think it bears repeating: how long does someone need to be dead for it to be considered necromancy or resurrection? Is Harry a zombie now? Or is he like Kemmler? I assume due to Harry being a special case he’s not a zombie. Either way I hope that Harry’s death and resurrection have some impact on him. It has to leave some mark.

ohhhh i just realized why i have no desire to sleep even though i in fact am getting tired🤪 my cousin was in psychosis for two weeks on coke off meds and two days ago he took a turn and directed all of his pain and anger at me n was talking shit about me saying vile things (mostly about being lesbian) till 4 am two days ago and till 6am last night. walking in the living room where i was juggling a knife and scraping it on our roomates doors, throwing n stabbing oranges around the house till he got 5250’d in the morning. i hope hes having an alright time in there he really needs help and hopefully rehab and hopefully he finally wants the change that he might not know he needs and actually does want. ya had to vent it out guys thx for reading my run on sentence, im actually tryna lead into a better, personal topic and this plays a part on it so i started there. i uh started recovery in AA 3 days ago and im so fucking happy to finally want to take my life back fully into my own hands and have the drive and ambition that i got easily with alcohol (fucking cop out). ik how this sounds to some people, i went to AA and NA for fun when i was in a grouphome at 17 bc it was another way for us to get off the campus and hangout with the other houses (they called them cottages🏡🕯️🎍☺️). so im very comfortable in that environment, it wasn’t an entirely new concept or energy to me, its been about ten years, but this is my first time coming with a severe desire to change and take back my life into my own hands. ya i had drank in highschool (fuckinn middle school too) but i dont think i ever had to drink and drink and drink till i passout and not be able to stop until im blacked out. that didnt happen till i was 23 in such a chaotic livlihood i couldnt stand any part of my reality, work, home, abusive relationship, i couldnt breathe but i could drink. to the point i was delivering weed from the dispensary drunk. it happened again over the summer for all of the same reasons but this time i had come back to my cousins house to get on my feet and ultimately ended up helping everyone else and their businesses and livlihood more than my own and i was drained out, favor not returned gang. i thought i was gonna stop drinking at the end of summer and i did a few times, a week, two a month but the binges were bad and i was in a lot of dangerous situations recently. everytime i thought i was ready, someone would give me a reason to catch a nice break from the chaos circus life, n who would say no to what sounds like bliss? the last time i drank i didnt even want to, i didnt even wanna go out shit, friend called me crying for help, by the end of the night i needed a relief drink joined got physically hurt (7 minor injuries but some are mid😭), stranded they took off w my phone and wallet in my bag, no sweater at 4am upset in a parking lot not tryna take three hour walk home. a ride from a nice lady w a sketchy guy judging me. how the fuck did it happen again, how easy couldve i prevented this. i had already reached out to a well versed friend that i need to get sober, she said she’d be around in a couple days n we would go. i told her again the next day i needed it even more now and we went that night, which she was wanting to bc she liked that specific meeting. well gang that specific meeting is always gonna be the story to the start of my meeting. i immediately got picked to lead and read through out the meeting on a little stage in front of everyone with the key speaker. as i expected haha, never heard of a lottery meeting like that. i made a home that night, i kept eveyones lottery ticket from the raffle that i picked (and the three left over), i hadnt felt so much support in years, and all at once and a whole room full of people.

i know im only three days in but ive been waiting my whole life to be here.

i should say first and foremost she's not to be confused with lucy from down on palladium. lucille is only occasionally called lucy while lucy DOP is lucy as a chosen name (over 'eden' and what it's tied to); they've both got independent girlie vibes but are otherwise very different...

SO LUCILLE. we'll see where i can get to with my lack of explaining rustling the hickory trees (RtHT) on here. lucille is a less-than-incidental side character who's the younger sister of one of the main characters, harry, and the bestest friend of the other main character, bill. she's five years younger than harry and five years older than bill, so perfectly middle child of the group. but also she's very much. 'younger sibling who seems more like the older sibling' type of vibe? not that harry is irresponsible or doesn't have a good head on his shoulders or anything. he's just. very laidback and easy going, sometimes falls easily into good things and pursuing his ambitions, so for a while, before he got with bill, Lucille was somewhat picking up the slack of logistics and reason and everything.

such slack as. when harry was 22, he moved east to virginia (the siblings are from huntington, West virginia) to try out for the coast guard without. well not without thought but definitely not neurotically going through every detail or scenario like lucille and bill would. and when he couldn't get in (passed the physical exam but his dyslexia cucked the written exams), it was lucky that lucille graduated early at 17 and is very good with numbers so she was able to go move in with him to ease the cost of living while he tried to find work elsewhere since her being good with numbers helped with getting a bank job.

the bank job where!!! in ~ten years time she meets bill. i still don't know what exact positions they hold but it doesn't matter because what matters is. this 21/22 year old kid came in interviewing for a job, and despite her cautious nature, some gut feeling told her, when said kid mentioned to the hiring manager that he was soon going to be between housing, to offer up a space on her couch. a space that would make history, as soon it blossomed into a friendship with bed-sharing closeness. which then blossomed into a friendship where she treats him like a kid brother (which is a part of older little sister-ship she can better handle than any responsibilities she's accidentally been thrown into) and he accepts it freely since she DOES feel like a sister— and frankly he's closer to her than any of his actual sisters.

as far as her personal life separate of the guys, i'm still trying to fully flesh it out. i'm leaning towards her being a lesbian but i don't know... in part because i'm still on the fence about whether she's one of those single aunties who's loving living life to the fullest (that she can) (but won't say no to spending time with the niece that made her an auntie, the guys' daughter hannah) or if she eventually ends up with someone. also maybe has some religious trauma, or at least easily jokes about her & harry's christian (some flavor of protestant?) upbringing— definitely to bill, who has no idea what the fuck goes on in a church (<- he's from a semi-orthodox jewish family). also also i still need to figure out a face for her...........

So, some of you may or may not remember, but back during my early years, I used to have a human persona of myself who's name was Patrick, who I used to use to represent myself along with some other forms of him, and got into some cringe I rather not talk about. But, eventually stopped using him around 2017 or 18 with the persona being dormant for a long time afterwards.

Well, I've brought him back out of 'OC dormitory' and incorporating him not just as a persona, but also an alternate version of myself within my Sentient Machine Universe '29A' where he has such an interesting and fore filling life.

Born on 18th of January 1997 to parents Sarah and Jon Oakley and sister Zara Oakley with the families past being surrounded in mystery. Patrick was raised into a middle class life style with him taking up an interested in machines mainly trains and other types of vehicles at a young age and a major interest in Art that became his pursuit as a career path. He grew to become quite a talented artist and hobbyist animator, mainly selling digital drawings of his favourite machines and doing commissions for local sentient machines who asked him to do art for them.

At around the age of 17, Patrick while searching online met the love of his life who would eventually become his wife, a famous artist called Grace Rivera who was a very wealthy American daughter of a successful rich businessmen who lived in Los Angeles in America. With Patrick being amazed by her amazing talent to create wonderful and successful masterpieces that went for millions of dollars worth, and by her sweet and kind personality and beauty.

Over the next few years as they both went into their 20s, the two would grow a strong and deep relationship with each other, while keeping their relationship secret from their parents due to the two of them being from different classes. Until Patrick was at the age of 21 and Grace at the age of 20, they met face to face with each other for the first time when both their families where at an art exhibition, with Patrick and Grace finally revealing their secret to their families and with both wishing to marry. While their families her hesitant at first due to the class difference between them, they where able to sort things out with each other, and agreed to allow the two to marry, with Patrick's family seeing it as an opportunity to allow Patrick to use Grace's extreme wealth to further their sons career.

The two were son happily married to each other with Grace moving with her new husband to the UK into one of her families private residences in Tarmingham in the Ruleton Estate where they have lived together ever since, and Patrick receiving a little bit of fame of his own in his art career with Graces collaboration and help in both each others art thanks to her fame and influence.

However, some have noted that despite the two of them aging they don't seem to show signs of physical aging, this has lead some to believe that Patrick is an immortal being with him passing this immortality onto Grace when he kissed her at their wedding. Some believe that Patrick himself is a 'Whisper Shifter' a mythical species who are said to be time travellers from the far destine future, and they believe the Oakley family is entirely made up of them, but only Patrick and Grace know this as they found out themselves that Patrick and his family were indeed the species they described, but they keep it a secret to themselves, and deny it when around in public to keep it safe.

These monsters regularly caused destruction in Ellie’s village and were a terrifying threat while she was growing up. She recently lost her younger brother to an attack from one of these crystal monsters and it’s made her hatred and fear of them that much stronger.

3. Gramorr returning or a new threat taking his place

she lived almost her whole life in a realm occupied by Gramorr, she’s seen first hand how it got worse over time and the damage he and his forces caused. Her little village suffered great losses because of what was happening in the world around it, and she can only imagine what was happening in larger towns and cities of influence. She wants to believe what she's heard of Gramorr’s defeat, and that the royal families and resistance will be able to stop any remaining forces from taking power again, but after living her whole life with him in control it’s easier said than done. Especially with rumors going around that the princess of Ephedia has been sent off planet again.

Back Story

Ellie is a common girl from Ephedia. She lives in the small village of Silvafinis and works as a shepherd. She’s a sweet, kind hearted young person who does her best to help people around her. Growing up in the realm of Ephedia she saw first hand the destruction and misery brought on by Gramorr during his reign of terror. Even being in a small village far from most things, they were never safe from the abuse of his forces, or the danger of the violent crystal monsters he created. The village was routinely threatened, and more than once irreparably damaged by this. When Gramorr first took over Ephedia the people of the realm attempted a coup to try to stop him, hoping to avoid what they knew would come should he stay in power. Ellie’s father and a number of other people from the town were a part of this. Unfortunately this revolution was a complete failure, most of the people involved in it died in the battle, Ellie’s father included.

After her fathers death she was left with just her grandmother and younger brother in her direct family, but being from such a small village most of the other people in town helped to care for her and felt just as much like family. Still she had to grow up fast, in doing so she kind of became a big sister figure to most of the town. Almost to combat the harshness of the world she lives in, Ellie does her best to be kind and helpful. She doesn’t see a point in making things harder than they already are for others. She comes down hard on younger kids in the village when they’re misbehaving or causing problems for that reason. She spent most of her life in this role, taking care of her family's sheep and younger brother. She more or less got used to the constant threat and destruction caused by Gramorr’s reign, as it was just how life always was.

But in recent months rumors began to spread that the princesses of Ephedia, who’d been sent off planet for her safety so long ago, had been found and was fighting for her kingdom and planet. that Princess Izira of Xeris had escaped one of Gramorr’s prisons and formed a resistance force to fight him, that hope was returning to Ephedia again. In direct conflict of that hope, it seemed like attacks from Gramorr’s crystal beasts were becoming more frequent than ever before. The village’s losses begane to pile up as homes, businesses, and farmlands were destroyed. Ellie’s younger brother died trying to protect the village during one of these attacks. This was a devastating loss for her, she blames herself for not being able to protect him, and has been in deep mourning ever since. She continues to keep up her cheery disposition around others though, not wanting her pain to bring down others.

When Gramorr was defeated, news spread fast across Ephedia, including to the little village of Silvafinis. Ellie, like most of Ephedia’s people, hopes this will mean an era of peace and recovery from all they’ve lost, but she can’t help but continue to worry that some new dark force may rise up to take Gramorr’s place.

I'm still thinking about how Wyll doesn't see himself as a victim of abuse, so, let's dig into why that is.

First of all - he had a choice. Of course, there was no way with the way he was raised that he would choose anything else, but he still accepted the deal, so, to him, everything that happened since is a consequence of that choice.

Second, he gained something from it; he got his powers that help him save and help so many people. Surely something he uses for so much good, can't be born out of something bad like abuse.

Third, Mizora... Mizora approached him as an ally first. Cazador was an evil man, from beginning to end. Mizora though? She's much more devious than that - she simply made him aware of a dire situation, and offered him the power he needs to solve the problem. (iirc, in EA she didn't even reveal her devil form until the deal was made)

And after he was cast out? When he was forced out of the city he spent his entire 17 years of life in, by his father whom he loves the most, Mizora was there. He knew it was because of her - but it wasn't her fault, because he had a choice in it - and sure, a devil's not a company he'd normally keep, but she was still there when he was trying to deal with a huge change in his life. Mizora was there for him, when his dad abandoned him.

Once again, in EA, it was confirmed that Wyll and Mizora were intimate at some point. Its not unreasonable to think that when everything was changing, he would cling to the only stable thing in his life: Mizora. He found comfort in his powers, and by extension, in her. Also considering that Wyll is a romantic at heart, had his first kiss at 15 and was exiled at 17, It is possible that Mizora was the first person he had sex with, been that vulnerable with, and he would struggle to see or label her as an abuser.

Next, the distance. Thanks to the tadpole, Astarion was able to run away from Cazador - to get so far away, where he couldn't reach him. He was able to live away from his influence, and it was easier for him to recognize the abuse for what it was. Which is not the case for Wyll. Throughout the game, he [i]has a sending stone for an eye that directly connects her mind to his[/i]. No matter where he goes, Mizora's influence follows him. - At some point she even joins your camp and stays right next to Wyll, and she will not leave. No matter how many times you attack her, she disappears for a few seconds, and then she's right back at his side. He has no escape.

and finally "Other people are suffering more" - his scars aren't as apparent or deep as Astarion's, nor did his abuse last as long, so, it can't be that bad, can it?

Quite the change of topic, I know, but bear with me for a moment.

When they think of child abuse, most people think about some creep kidnapping a child off a playground and being heinous. When this happens, it is obvious to everyone that it is abuse and gross and yada yada yada. That is closer to what happened to Astarion. He was caught at a weak moment, taken advantage of, and once he broke free, he was free of his abuser's influence.

That is not how csa occurs most often though. Often times, the abuser is someone the victim already knows and trusts, usually a family member or a family friend - someone who has influence on the kid's life, someone who has power over the kid. Due to the abuser already being someone the kid trusts, the kid can convince themself that they're misremembering things, they're making it up, or exaggerating it; because surely someone they trust wouldn't do something like that. And even if the physical aspects of the abuse stops, the abuser will try to cement themself in the kid's life and wait for the next opportunity to repeat. Which is closer to what happens to Wyll.

Unfortunately, in these cases, it is harder to identify abuse as what it is. - Which is exactly why Wyll struggles with it.

kim kangdae was born in the suburbs of sydney, australia to a stay-at-home mom and a finance manager at a law firm, his younger sister following 6 years later. although the nuclear family seemed to have the idyllic life to neighbors, the stress of living bill to bill weighed on the couple, constantly arguing for as long as angel could remember, until when he was 10, they finally decided to officially end their marriage. his father cut all contact with his family save the child support checks that arrived every month in the mail. to make up for the loss of income, his mother began working at a hair salon owned by her sister-in-law to make ends meet.

the loss of her husband and her ideal life took a toll on michelle, and she constantly sought after someone to keep her bed warm, although the men she managed to find were often even more worthless than the one who left her. but at least they stuck around, even if it was just to leach off her welfare or cash her child support checks. there were plenty of those men that cycled throughout angel’s childhood, and he had to fight more than one of them to keep them off his mom or little sister. after growing up without any idea of romantic love, he has been led to believe that love is just a concept made up to trick people into thinking all the shit you go through is worth it.

HISTORY:

Diana Goodman never expected to have children. But when she and her husband, Dan, got the news that she was pregnant, she was overjoyed. She spent the whole pregnancy eagerly waiting the arrival of her baby and when he came, she fell in love instantly. She named him Gabriel, after her father. Unfortunately, when Gabriel was one and a half, tragedy struck and he passed away.

The loss of her only son and first child took a toll on Diana and she sunk into a depression. Dan did everything he could to try and pull her out of it, but nothing worked. Their daughter, Natalie, was born six months later. Gabriel would've been two. Diana tried to be there for Natalie as she grew, but it was hard. She kept thinking of Gabriel and how she wished he was there instead.

By the time Natalie was sixteen and Gabriel eighteen, Diana's depression had become a constant. She saw a psychiatrist every week and took the medicine he prescribed to her with minimal questioning. At Gabriel’s urging, however, she stopped taking it and attempted suicide. She wound up in the hospital and underwent electroshock therapy that caused her to lose the past nineteen years of her memory, including her memories of Gabriel. She recovered these memories and decided to leave Dan so that she could heal and recover on her own time. Gabriel stayed with Dan and Diana didn’t see him very much. Eventually, she stopped seeing him at all.

if you try to deny me i’ll never die ; verse - canon. the events of next to normal. gabe exists as a figment of diana’s subconscious. she is the only one that is able to see him and interact with him. he interacts with others, but they are never able to see him nor hear him.

the darkest skies will somehow see the sun ; verse - post canon. diana is slowly recovering from her depression. as she recovers, so too does gabe. he becomes a figure of hope instead of pain and eventually, as diana continues to recover, will fade away entirely.

Name: Verona the Brute

Personality: Serious and rather stoic,no nonsense person. Usually focused on her quests,quiet.

Backstory: Verona was born in the small town of Rorikstead to a couple of Travelling Merchants. The first 10 years of her life involved moving from place to place constantly. Her mother taught her to read a write,while her father taught her tricks of the trade. When she was 11,her mother died in a bandit raid and her father was seriously injured,Verona herself was kidnapped by the bandits after being knocked out trying to defend her unconscious father. The Bandit leader,a man known as Joric the Cruel,forcibly made Verona his Apprentice of sorts. He found her Spiteful and stubborn attitude interesting. He lived up to his name,though there were moments where some softness showed through. The first year Verona lived with the bandits,beatings were often and swift,After each one Joric would tend to her wounds and speak softly,almost fatherly,to her. He would often call her his little Sabre Cat/Kitten for short. Verona was taught how to fight by the bandits and they tried to raise her to be one of them. Life with them was hard,and often Verona missed her family,but she learned quickly running away was not an option. 

When Verona turned 14,she had her period for the first time,one of the bandits,a woman named Svani, helped her clean up and explained what was happened. The woman also explained that now that Verona Had bled,that she would be considered a woman and that the men in the camp and in the rest of the world would try to make her their wife,mistress,or simply bed her,and that some men would not take no as an answer. Svani gave Verona a dagger and told her to use it to cut the throat of any man that tried to,but that if the man was stronger than her and disarmed her,to close her eyes and relax her body so as to avoid unneccassary pain or even death. By that Age Verona Had grown to have a shapely figure,and as Svani had warned,many of the men in the camp began to try and get her in their beds. Joric was one of those men.

When Verona was 15,Joric bedded her. She knew if she rejected his advances for too long,he would no doubt force himself on her anyway,so she gave into his advances. He was experienced in bedroom affairs and her first time was one where he used every trick he knew. He would take her again and again,sometimes he would take her multiple times a night. Physically it felt great,but mentally Verona hated every second. This would continue until she was 17,when she noticed she had missed multiple periods. She had been impregnated by a man she hated more than anything. When she told Joric, he was…...overjoyed to say the least. Boasting later that night how he had bred her good. He would then propose marriage to Verona,and she knew better than to turn him down. He kidnapped a preist of Mara and they were wed. He released the preist of Mara but luckily Verona was able to have the man smuggle a note to the guards in the nearby hold of Whiterun. Verona would give birth to a Little boy who would be named after his father 3 months later. She loved her son,she did,but she struggled to show it and to bond with him. She feared that the rest of her life would involve having baby after baby and having no choice but to watch them be raised into banditry. 

A month after her son was born,3 Companions,Villas,Farkas,and Aela would raid the bandit hideout and kill nearly all of the bandits,Joric being one of them much to the releif of Verona. Vilkas was the one to found her and her son,and that would be the one and only time he would see her cry. She was releived to finally be free of the bandits who had taken so much from her. 

She and her son,whose name she changed to Kond, were brought back to Whiterun where she was given a bath,hot meal,some clothes,and was tended to by the temple priestess. Hulda let her sleep at the Tavern for free until she could find a job or get in contact with any family.

It took a year but on her 18th Birthday she found her father and moved in with him. He had searched for her for many years and wept when he saw and learned of the life she was made to live after being kidnapped all those years ago. He doted on his grandson and spared no expense on making up for lost time. 

Five years later,Verona was now 23,her father would pass away. He left her 2 homes,one in the forests of Falkreath and One inside the walls of Whiterun. He Also left her plenty of gold,enough so that she would never have to work. She chose to move back to Whiterun and hired a nanny,3 guards,a cook,a Maid,and 2 tutors for her son as she decided to join the Companions. While she had lived w her father,she wasn't idle. She practiced and learned how to fight,how to wield a 2 handed battle axe with ease and move in heavy armor. She Had taken bounties and killed endless amounts of bandits and other creatures,and she was good at what she did. 

She was permitted to join and proved to be good at her job,she was merciless to bandits of any kind,often over doing it when it came to making them dead. 

When she turned 27,she was asked to get the dragonstone for the court wizard. She did and then helped fell the dragon that attacked the tower. There she found out she was Dragonborn,and was made Thane of Whiterun. She found Tally after she decided to take just a couple weeks to wander around after such news,and found Kaidan and Lucien after hearing about a guy kidnapped by thalmor and about a man looking to adventure. Now she's on her way to become the best dragonborn she can be.
