I smiled and quickly scurried off the couch and follewed chris into the kitchen, expecting to find him clearing up the mess we made, but i was pleasently surprised when a hand caught my wrist and pulled me to the side, causing me to yelp.

I was faced with warm blue eyes and a lazy smirk on his face. His body against mine, his hands on my waist, i could feel his breath on my face with the closeness.

BUDDHA: THATS MY GOD RIGHT THERE. ate. i’m not religious, and neither are my family, but they are buddhist, so by default, i am too. i personally think buddhism is the best religion, but we’re not gonna get into that. i have very valid reasons btw. love his personality, love his looks. massive W. ofc he fights for humanity. he’s a walking W. 9/10

ZEROFUKU: precious. definition of deserved better. what made me sad, is how he was written during the fight. he’s consistently hitting, with little to no strategy. his backstory is sad, but his battle exp was written poorly. also the random ass monster possessing took me tf out. 7/10

HADES: fine ass mf. he’s so different from how he’s usually portrayed, both look & personality wise. the first W netflix has pulled. he’s hot and responsible? persephone, we can share him babes. also, the relationship between him & poseidon made me SOB. like actually. hurt so bad i made an angst edit. 9/10

QIN SHI HUANG: first off, i don’t do research on my own ethnicity’s history. i didn’t even know who tf lu bu was. my family knew tho. with that aside, PROUD TO BE CHINESE❗️ he’s so fine. SO FINE. the way his character was written, was wonderful. i loved the fight between him & hades. the tension & the lengths they went to try & win. 9/10

BEELZEBUB: his backstory was so tragic. what i didn’t like, was how they rushed his & lilith’s story. like, they kinda randomly said i love you to each other. i’d love to see their adventures tgt. lilith, leave that emo thing, and come be w me. he’s fine too. i rlly like how they introduced him. 8/10

NIKOLA TESLA: i don’t have much of an opinion on him. very chatty, which i don’t actually mind. i guess we’ll have to wait for more chapters to release before i form an opinion on him. 5/10

ODIN: the hair bro. THE HAIR. i keep forgetting he exists, but i’m not his biggest fan. not bad, but i prefer his sons. i do like the theory of him being a traitor. he looks the part. 5/10

LOKI: honestly, i liked him a lot in the beginning, but now, it’s like he’s kinda on the side. cute & hot. thor is the better brother tho. speaking of, how tf are they even brothers? moving on, i like his personality. i like his shocked, mixed w angry, facial expressions more. 7/10

Uki laughs, a melodious sound as he props his chin on his hand. Club music plays in the background and chatter is all around them. His eyes sparkle playfully. "Oh? Fufu-chan, you're too cute."

"That may be so, but you're much cuter, Ukiki," Fulgar replies smoothly, a finger tracing the rim of his shot glass. The three sit at the bar, the bartenders whirling around and mixing drinks with ease.

"I feel like I'm third wheeling," Shoto laughs, taking a sip of his drink.

"You are," Fulgar practically chirps, winking at Shoto.

"Don't be a bitch," Uki reprimands gently, slapping Fulgar's arm affectionately. "I enjoy being with you both equally."

"yeah, jackass," Shoto retorts. The two males stop punching each other's arm, honestly just being men and it makes Uki laugh. It was cute how the two of them fight for Uki's attention every time they hang out. He watches them with a smile on his lips.

"Let's settle this. I bet Uki likes being with me more!" Fulgar takes Uki's hand, gently pulling him to his feet. Uki, surprised, lets him. "Let's dance, Ukiki!"

"Dance?" Uki echoes, a bit nervous. "I guess I can drop it down low but-"

Fulgar pulls Uki close, an arm wrapped around Uki's waist. "Oh, I bet you can."

"Hey!" Shoto calls as Fulgar guides the Psychic to the dance floor. The demon slayer grumbles, "This cocksucker." He swigs another drink, slams it down on the table and pushes past the dancing masses to follow them.

Fulgar is dancing like an absolute lunatic and even doing the Robot. Uki relaxes with a giggle, going with the flow of the upbeat music. He looks up at Fulgar who gazes down at him with soft eyes with his shit-eating grin.

It seemed like the world zoomed in on just these two, the Psychic and the Cyborg.

That is, until the Demon Slayer entered the picture.

A hand catches Uki's wrist and drags him elsewhere. Uki glances to see who it, about ready to bitch slap the person who thought I was a good idea to interrupt. He paused, realizing it was Shoto, brows furrowed and a slight pout to his lips.

'Oh?' Uki thinks, a smirk curling. 'Someone's jealous.'

Shoto drags him to a couch and plops down, tugging on Uki's sleeve. Uki obediently sits next to him, crossing his legs and turning to Shoto, eyebrow raised.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing," Shoto mutters, refusing to look Uki in the eye. "I didn't want to be by myself."

"So you dragged me away from Fulgar?" Uki knew better, since he was a Psychic and all.

"He's not even that cool anyway," Shoto argues, finally looking at Uki. His facial expression screamed 'Jealousy!' Uki found it absolutely adorable, nodding at Shoto with a low 'mhm.' "Motherfucker thinks hes so much better! Smug asshole. I'm a way better-" He shuts himself up.

"You're a way better what?" Uki presses, tilting his head with a smirk.

"Nothing, nothing." He waves Uki away, avoiding his gaze yet again. His cheeks are flushed, Uki noticed. Was it from the alcohol? Or was it from something else?

"You bastard," an accented voice chuckles, separating the two as he sits himself right in the middle. "Stole my Ukiki away from me."

"He's not yours," Shoto counters, wagging a finger at him. "Hes mine."

So the trio goes back to the bar, and the bartender welcomes with three small shot glasses. Each order a type of alcohol they desire and she quickly obliges, pouring at the speed of light before serving the next customer.

"Damn, being a bartender seems kind of crazy," Shoto observes, sipping. "So many customers at once."

"Yeah," Uki agrees, eyeing the lines of alcohol behind the bar. "Theres so many options, what if they screw up the order?"

"Serve it to another, perhaps," Fulgar replies. "It doesn't seem all that hard."

"Then why don't you help them out?" Shoto muses with a grin.

"Why don't you, dog boy?"

"I'll say this one more time: I am not a dog boy! Only sometimes."

"But you're my dog boy, aren't you Shoto?" Uki coos, a hand resting on Shoto's thigh. He twitches, a furious blush on his face.

Uki cups Shoto's face, squishing his cheeks with a smile. "Come on, you can do better than that, handsome. Say it."

Shoto glances between Uki and Fulgar, realizing there was no way of escaping this. He groans, embarrassed, because they want him to say this in a public area? They really wanted to humiliate him. For some odd reason, Uki ordering him to do something like that kind of turned him on, which he internally slapped himself for because what the fuck?

overall: i liked the first half better than the second half. first 50% was soooo addicting. i loved the world building and dragons and war college and challenges so much but i’m just not a huge romance person. like the romantic buildup is amazing but afterwards i’m just meh. of course there was the expected tropey/ cliche/ booktok moments BUT most of it was overshadowed by how great the other aspects of the writing was. i dissociated at the end and didn’t really feel attached to violet or xaden or even the dragons (this is a me problem) but i think the ending is great set up for book 2 (will probs give it a read). like u can tell where the book is going but then the author does something unique to make it a little different than other books in this genre, so idk how many surprises book 2 will have. the fact that i read this is in less than 24 hours says a lot though. i hope mira comes back :D

preface: i already have a very bad impression of tristamp. i literally have been into trigun for maybe a week now and i have seen most of 1998, but im trying to go into tristamp with a clear head and view it objectively, but i genuinely looked at the character designs and legatos redesign made me resent it immediately tbh...

uhh... its very pretty!!! ill give it that. it really shows the evolution of 3d anime over time, and as someone who typically doesnt enjoy it i think tristamp is absolutely beautiful. first 3d anime i ever saw was knights of sidonia and i have a deep appreciation for where 3d anime is now compared to a decade ago

ive been thinking about top nonstop for the past 24 hours and i can't help but wonder what his arc will actually look like

we're introduced to him in episode 1 as the top-tier. he's cool and confident, he's rich and hot and gets everything he wants and knows the answers to hard trivia quetions and charismatic as hell.

as the series goes on though we're introduced to other parts of him as well, that he has insomnia and has a hard time sleeping alone because he's scared of dying in his sleep alone and unloved, he won't/can't stick up for himself in various situations, he's pretty lonely, etc. he also hooks up with boston because of insecurity that mew is being genuine with him.

these things don't really negate the traits he's introduced with, he's still confident and cocky but post top/boston reveal it stops feeling cool and charismatic and starts seeming a bit desperate, and it doesn't get him whatever he wants in any given scenario anymore. I'd also say that compared to his introduction to the friendgroup, having the answers to the triva questions (i.e knowing the right things to say), following mew finding out about him having sex with boston we often see him speechless, or not speaking up for himself, especially when it comes to mew. it feels like since episode 6 at least, his smirk has been replaced with those sad puppy eyes.

now i'm one of those people that watches the show and thinks top did genuinely fall for mew and is genuine in his attempts to win him back, so i think it's interesting that the more love i see behind his actions, the less mew does.

I'd say the biggest effect on top's character is his relationship with mew/ mew's arc, because of how he agrees to change his lifestyle but also because of how he is framed. like in episode 2 top jumps in the lake to help cheum and mew notes it down as passing one of his boyfriend tests and when top jumps in to help mew in episode 9, its not received negatively but it doesn't but top immediately back in mew's good graces (actually i don't think we get mews thoughts on it at all cause he had just passed out but wtv). similarly top taking care of mew after his lasik surgery vs at the halloween party. i'd imagine that if top's interaction with mew's moms had happened pre episode 6 top would have gotten top marks from mew instead of being met with annoyance. theres probably many more instances like these but i'm starting to lose the point of this post the more i go on. (one last point is in episode 9 top is about to take some sleeping pills and decides instead to seak out human company, which could be just a way to introduce boeing to the story but i still think about it in terms of mew telling to to stop doing drugs, different drugs i know, in exchange for affection...anyway). we've seen the ways top has started to change but i don't think we've gotten as strong a sense as to where his character will go from here.

with mew we see him start out as the table holder, as the guy whose never been in a relationship but has a very clear image in his head of what it has to be like and when he finds someone who passes his tests and enters a relationship he thinks is perfect he ends up feeling betrayed and heartbroken. then we see mew lose his sense of self, enter his bad boy winning the idgaf war era and also what it takes for him to get out of it and start to come to terms with how he feels and why. we've seen who mew was introduced to us as, how he broke out of that mold, and where he may go next

boston was the hunter, who didn't do relationships because of all the drama. he becomes friends with benefits with nick and breaks his rule and starts to develop some feelings and it ultimately does lead to a lot of drama, mostly at the expense of his friendships. it seems tho that moving forward boston may re-evaluate his stance of relationships, not in favor of changing how he is necessarily but the value he places on other people and how he treats them.

ray is introduced to us the drunkard and guy with an unrequited crush. i personally will say ray is a bit different from these other characters because i think all of us ray enthusiasts clocked what layed beneath his surface almost immediately but nevertheless, he starts out as the guy who drinks too much when he goes out and gets called a burden by his friends for it, then we find out about his mother drinking herself to death, about his past suicide attempt because he feels unlovable and like he'll always be a burden, but we also see him try to move on with sand, to open up even, then get immediately roped back into his negative emotions in episode 6 when he self sabotages because self fulfilling prophecy, and we see things start to fall apart for him in episode 7/8 but pick back up in episode 9 with the prediction being the rest of his arc will revolve around dealing with his addiction and the impact that will have on his life.

i lost the plot of this post so bad someone please make coherent thoughts about this character cause clearly i can't. genuinely don't know what the point of this was supposed to be....

As an astrology bitch that has everyones charts; My HC on Severen's big 6 in his birth chart.

(Please don't be like THAT'S NOT HOW I AM AND I HAVE A LEO MOON! bc your chart is a recipe and those signs are ingredients. Chocolate and marshmallows together are going to be different than say marshmallows and yams. So a Leo Moon with a Capricorn sun is different than someone with a Gemini Sun and Leo Moon...Okay? Okay!)

Taurus Rising

Partially since Bill is a Taurus Sun and you can tell. They have the wide chiseled jaw, wider bodies and faces, thicker necks, wide shoulders that kind of taper as opposed to Sagittarius that have sharper angles, I cannot stress this enough; *puppy dog eyes* and prominent cheekbones that come with a Taurus Rising or Sun but especially Rising. No idea what Bill's Ascendant is but if it's Taurus it wouldn't surprise me bc even tho the sun and moon help contribute to appearance and demeanor; the Ascendant is key...And combined with the obvious Taurus physical traits, Severen gives off idgaf intimidating Earth vibes when he's not talking. Just look at him in the camper when Caleb was asleep. Fire Risings are warm, Water Risings are reserved but sweet in disposition, Air Signs are friendly but not as warm as Fire Signs, Earth Rising signs are quiet and aloof. He just gives that vibe when he's (rarely) not talking.

Leo Sun

Confidence out the roof. The Sun is what we strive to be/our essence. He's Proud, Bold, Confident, takes up space and does not care who likes it. They love playing more than Leo Moons too in my experience. This sign really shines in the Sun placement. They walk in and command a room. While a Leo Moon is more interpersonal and warm with close friends, a Leo sun is THERE. Severen is cracking jokes with anyone, making grand gestures and kicking the door down to let everyone know he's arrived. Look how he entered that bar and loudly insulted everyone; that is the most Leo Sun thing I've ever seen especially if he has a Fire Moon.

Aries Moon

Aries Suns are confident but they're content being still, working on goals and are fine being alone more often. How energetic Severen is when he speaks, how he likes to rehash old stories like the Chicago fire, him telling the joke about Buffalo Bill in the bar out of no where, his extremely blunt nature. He is a Sagittarius Mercury that's made even funnier and more entertaining by his Aries Moon and Leo Sun. Very go big or go home energy with everything they do.

Aries Mars

Mars is your passions. He is hot tempered, impulsive, takes action right away, has hardly any fear even from the sun despite it hurting him, they like shit said straight away no diplomacy or beating around the bush. Hot tempered but just as easy to forgive and forget bc they get it all out in the open the minute they're pissed off. He wanted to rip Caleb apart, and the night after that, gave him his spur for doing a good job the night before. Water under the bridge! Then wanted to rip him apart again bc of him betraying them. But I can guarantee you if Homer wouldn't have wanted Sarah, Caleb would have came back, returned the spur as a sign of respect and Jesse allowed it; he'd get over it just as quickly if not sooner than everyone else unlike say...Homer who sits there and holds grudges. Severen could care less about holding grudges....And Sex? Primal, rough, loves a challenge, spontaneous. They can flip from being madly in lust to bored very easily but when he's in lust with you? DAMN that man wants you BAD. Expect to be shoved against a wall the minute you spark something in him. The most instinctively sexual placement. Like, they are all about the dirty animalistic side of sex...Did I mention they tend to have a corruption kink and love bratty subs for the challenge? SEVEREN.

Scorpio Venus

This may be surprising but as a Scorpio Venus, I know another Scorpio Venus when I see one. We don't trust ppl easily, we don't open up easily but when we do like you? OMG. We are extremely protective, possesive and loyal to you and depending on the other placements it can be jealous and obsessive as well. It is one of the most loyal signs in Venus but also the most toxic. You can tell he doesn't accept newcomers easily, look how he was with Caleb. And the ones he does accept and care about; he'll put his life on the line for them without a second thought. In Near Dark, he is constantly putting himself in the crossfire for his Clan. He'd be the same way with a S/O. It would take him a VERY long time to romantically trust a partner. Sex? Sure. That's the Mars sign. But telling them his secrets and being exclusive? It's gonna take a while as a Scorpio Venus. KINGS AND QUEENS OF SLOW BURN LMFAO. We also don't hyperfocus on relationships (As we see with him in the movie. He doesnt have a partner and doesn't seem to care) bc either we're all in or we're all out. We expect the same of a partner; either you are in love and passionate towards us or we're moving on. With him having an Aries Mars, he either ignores you or love bombs you for sure. It wouldn't shock me if you tell him a secret about yourself or open up to him and he is falling for you hard...I'm not saying your secrets safe with him but he would appreciate the gesture.

We tend to think Venus is only romantic relationships but that's not true. It's your love language and how you are in ALL relationships. Family, friends, lovers etc. It's also your sense of style (And some say what you want in a female partner but I don't focus on male vs female aspects in astrology like that. I think Venus is what you look for in any partner. Period.) Speaking of style. We like black, leather, lace alternative style. What Severen wears is my ideal style for a man as a Scorpio Venus and I tend to wear alternative styles as well. I hate to say this but if Im JUST STARTING to like a guy that dresses in alt clothing and I see him change into a Hawaiian polo shirt or urban style I get the ick 😭 I feel so bad but we are so attracted to alternative looks and ppl and I can GUARANTEE Severen is the same way. If he saw an alternative woman (Or man or nonbinary he gives bi vibes) walk by him he'd be checking her out and making a move for something other than feeding... But like I said, romantically it'll take some time to gain that trust and passion he has. But when you do? Think Gomez and Morticia. Dark, passionate, protectivly possesive, obsessed and enraptured with each other. Severen wouldn't be able to keep his hands off a partner and would want to be apart of their life in every way he can. 🖤
