Given the way BNHA genetics work, where the kids look the most similar to their mothers, Shinomori might have been Bruce's nephew
Y'know, I didn't think about that, but yeah- a lot of characters look like their moms (Midoriya, Bakugo, Uraraka, Jiro, Koda, etc)
I actually think they might've been cousins. Subscribing to the idea of [most kids take after their mothers], maybe they're cousins through their mothers?
Having OFA for 18 years and dying at 40 means Shinomori received it when he was 22. Shinomori being 22 years old seems close to how old Bruce actually could've been when he was alive himself.
Shinomori being Bruce's nephew is a cute idea though. I still think they'd be close in age, but Hikage can call Bruce "Uncle" to mess with him
Hikage: Uncle-
Bruce: Please don't make me feel old.
An adult that's a few years younger than you, calling you uncle. So like. Bruce could've been the babysitter / older cousin / uncle to weirdo Shinomori and he's just so used to babysitting that it automatically translates over to patiently dealing with Kudo and being protective over him (+ anyone in his care)
(Bruce gave OFA away before he went to go fight, so he really was protecting what was put in his care [Yoichi + Kudo] so they didn't disappear with him. Even if it was just a responsibility and basically their last organ that happened to manifest consciousnesses)
Bruce has Kudo. Shinomori has Banjo. Both are shorter, more risk-taking people that lead the way, but need someone level-headed by their side because they might charge in otherwise.
If they're related, that means Bruce probably also ages well too. And it means Bruce also might have a baby face like Shinomori-
(They look alike. They're also very so cute)

Let's be honest, and I say this with full offense, Lucerys Velaryon is the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of the Dance of the Dragons. He is meant to be a sacrificial lamb to kick off the entire war proper. If we had gotten a full season of development with him like we did with the younger cast in Game of Thrones, I guarantee more people would've felt something. The only reason I personally feel bad is from a baseline level of empathy, because he was a child who was placed in an unwinnable situation due to his mom being completely irresponsible with him and his brothers.
However…
The comparison between Lucerys and Aemond is no contest. Love him or hate him, Aemond has an actual personality and goals when we first meet him. There's enough dimension in Aemond as a child to showcase the potential for sympathy between him and Jace at the funeral, a scene they didn't need to put in, but they did, which emphasizes his own innocence. Even before he breaks bad fully in S1E10, he's still far more compelling to watch due to the number of scenes allocated to him and his dynamic with other people.
This is where you and I are going to disagree just a bit, because Lucerys does do something in S1E07 and S1E08. He gouges out the eye of a family member and petulantly whines that he “didn’t do anything!” when confronted with the possibility of getting in trouble for it, then years later has the nerve and complete lack of sense to giggle at the person he permanently maimed only hours after his legitimacy was publicly called into question (again) and resulted in a murder. The narrative (perhaps unintentionally) glosses over these moments in favor of portraying him as good, whereas if you read between the lines, you can see that as being an oversimplification. The problem is that because S1 was truncated, secondary characters like Lucerys don’t receive screentime dedicated to portraying anything other than a single personality trait. Unfortunately, because of his role in the text and the way it was adapted for television, there was never a chance that Lucerys would be interesting.
I don't even have anything to add, this is just objectively correct.

when the theater guy WHAT
I went to see the FNaF Movie today and seeing as I have a total of Zero friends in real world event range and both of my parents hate horror I had to go to the theater by myself for the very first time in my life, which was fine. Until it wasn't
The dude in charge of ticket checks stops me and instead of asking to see a ticket asks if the mask I was wearing was part of some costume. Little black cloth face mask, covid thing. He was an old man on a scooter and not wanting to have a discussion with this tiny old man about Covid19 I just went along with it and said sure yeah. It kind of was anyway, it has a little bear mouth on it and I was wearing Bear Ears and a brown cardigan as well.
Man goes "You can't wear a mask in here." I say "Why not?" He says "You can't wear a mask in here." I go, "I heard that part. Why Not. "Policy, I don't make the rules, just enforce them." I realize this man is being paid minimum wage to sit here and police people so I go, "Okay." and walk past him because he's just some guy in a little scooter in the middle of the atrium and he hasn't asked for my ticket so I assume that's Not His Job
He calls me back for my ticket so I take out my phone with the QR code with my ticket on it and he takes my phone to (I assumed) scan the code and then he pulls out his walkie and calls his manager and I realize very quickly he is not scanning my ticket and I want to Leave Now.
"Can I have my phone back?" "When my manager gets here."
"Give me my phone back." "When my manager gets here."
"Bill. Give me. My Phone." "As soon as my manager gets here"
I make a swipe to grab my phone from him and this tiny little 60 something man in a scooter in the middle of a theater atrium as the audacity to hold it back over his head like I am a Toddler he is preventing from grabbing at a knife.
I am now having a panic attack.
Manager walks over and I am a broken little Autistic man who just wanted to watch a Bad Horror Movie (it was actually pretty good) so I scream at this lanky probably 30-something in the middle of a Cinemark Theater Atrium with many a random bystander around "TELL HIM. TO GIVE ME. MY PHONE."
I swipe my phone from Bill's hand, full turn, and bolt out the door half way across the parking lot and call my mother in a heap on the sidewalk.
It's a very good thing the Five Nights at Freddy's movie was way better than I was expecting or today would have been awful.

Which Symbolic Fruit Are You?
Kakavasha~
Clementine
In Chinese culture , clementines , known for their bright orange , waxy exterior , were symbolic of gold , & by extension , wealth , good fortune & abundance . Trees that bear clementines ( or mandarins , as they're also known as ) are often used to decorate the thresholds of Chinese households as a sign of good luck & prosperity .
As lucky as Clementines may be , so are you & those around you . With a sunny disposition , & a knack for seeing the best in everyone , & the good in the world around you , you’re someone who believes that the glass is always half full . Things can always be worse , & they will always get better , one way or another ! Like the vibrant clementines , you're known for bringing light to those who need it , & always bringing laughter to your friend group . However , such a bright exterior can sometimes hide a deep & lingering sadness . Remember : even the light sometimes has to dim , & even the sun has to set . Don't worry ; it'll always come back .
Aventurine~
Pomegranate
The pomegranate is most famously attributed to the Greek goddess , Persephone . Though versions of the story differ : with some of them saying that Persephone was tricked into eating the pomegranate seeds , in order for her to become trapped in the underworld , & some saying she willingly chose to eat the seeds .
Pomegranate's have a hard exterior that is tough to crack . Your hard shell is a natural protectant & keeps you safe from those that only wish to use you . Internally you are rich with bounties . You believe in living your life passionately & vibrantly . The idea of surrendering to a fate of being confined to anything , whether it be a relationship , a job , or family dynamic where you are not happy & lack agency is a terrifying prospect . It is fears like this which also prevent you from opening up & showing vulnerability to those around you . However , like the pomegranate whose seeds sparkle like gemstones , you hide inside you incredible beauty that only the most worthy deserve to see .

“Wait so you've never celebrated Christmas? Like . . ever?”
Her fingers traced the edge of one page, pausing as she took a moment to think, “I wouldn't say 'never', it's just—” She shook her head, though her eyes were still fixated on the book in her hand, “I've just never really felt a sort of enjoyment in those kinds of things. My family, er—mostly my father, he wasn't big on holidays . . . uhm, well . . . he was never really home a lot for the most part,” she closed the book whilst giving him a reassuring gaze.
“But, parties also count right? I've attended a few of them at work and they were fun i guess.” The ravenette puts the book on top of the coffee table, “Besides, it's not really any different than any other day would it? I get to spend time with all of you and that's what makes it special, no?” she smiled lovingly.
Kosuke couldn't help but frown a bit at her statement.
I mean, she's not wrong—but Christmas is supposed to be more than that right?
Christmas is about ugly sweaters, making snow angels in the park, feeling the cold breeze tickle your nose, cookies and the nostalgic smell of ginger and spices, getting drunk on spirits and eggnog, figuring out on what gift you should buy for secret santa, and most importantly . . . Warmth.
And it's not the kind of warmth you feel from the radiating heat of the fireplace, rather the kind when you're surrounded with the people you love. The sort of warmth that flushes through the whole of your body when you get to see smiles, hear cheers, and feel happy. Christmas is a time where you can give and share the love and appreciation you have for each other all through out.
The brunette placed his hand on hers, “Did you . . Have any unpleasant memories about it?” his voice was soft and tender, the feeling of worry enveloped his words in an obvious matter. Rai-Han looked at him with an uncertain expression before giving him a warm smile, “I guess you could say so . . I don't think I've had the pleasure in having a proper Christmas when i was younger. I do remember some good memories however,” she started to intertwine her fingers with his, her touch was gentle and yearning.
He observed her gesture, letting her take the time to speak. Truthfully, he loves it when Rai would tell more things about herself. And he truly loves for how honest she is whenever it's something that has effected her in the past or something that has stuck with her all her life. He could tell, from her voice, the way she talks, the way she acts adorably fiddles with his hand whenever she shares a part of her in a way that fuels his heart with endearment.
“My mother,” once again she smiled, though there was something different about this one. There was a kind of glint in her eyes, one that he had never seen before. “Holidays were wonderful with her. I loved spending time decorating the house and the little plastic Christmas tree we had cause we weren't able to buy a proper one at that time,” she giggled, reminiscing the time where she felt the pure joy and excitement. “I remember us taking a walk around the city as it snowed, seeing lights and decorations while dozens of people celebrate with joy. I remember how cold it was, my little hands were freezing even with the gloves. My mother would hold them in her warm palms and kiss each knuckle, then the cold would go away, just like that! Could you imagine?” Kosuke noticed how her smile grew each time she speaks of another core memory.
“And I remember one time where we went out to go to the bakery . . Ahh, the whole store smelled like sugar and spices,” Rai-Han closed her eyes in bliss as if she could actually smell the indulgent scent of baked goods. “We eventually bought a cake and went back home. My cheeks were all red from the cold hahah! My mom told me i looked like a little tomato,” she laughed light-heartedly.
The brunette looked at her with a lovelorn expression, caressing her cheek whilst grazing his thumb over it tenderly. “I can see she's very dear to you,” he smiled, earning a soft nod from the ravenette. “Very . . . She would've loved to meet you, I'm sure she'd adore you.” Hearing that made kosuke's heart grew warmer, “Coming from you,” he paused, moving a strand of hair from her face, “Then I'm sure that's true.”
Rai-Han smiled for the nth time, but it quickly faded after she remembered what she had said before, “Sorry If I belittled your own preference of celebrating christmas. I used to enjoy it too, loved it even . . I . . I find it hard to find that sort of love through these events anymore cause . . All that mirth, that joy, left the same day I . . Lost her,” her voice grew quieter as she spoke, earning another frown from the brunette.
“Was it, lonely?” he asked as the ravenette took time to answer, before shaking her head in response, “Not really, uhm . . Well it was the first couple of years, but, I grew used to it. And, you could say I've changed my perspective a little. I went out, met some people,” she paused, her gaze shifting towards his ruby netras, “And I found you.”
His eyes widen briefly in shock, quite intrigued by her response.
‘Found’ . . Others would've preferred to use the word ‘met’, but Rai-Han described it in a way that indicated that meeting him was not only an experience where she found her significant other, but also likely the fact the was able to found herself through him. Her lips curled into a sweet smile, “And I think I'll look forward to this Christmas with you.”
Winters were no longer cold for Rai-Han, and she would hope that this warmth will linger till spring would bless her once more.
