Five Tevan head canons?

here are some headcanons!

Tommy is a cat person. The first time Buck spends the night, he wakes up with a tuxedo cat sitting on his chest. (The cat's name is Merlin, he's like 20 years old, very cranky, and Tommy's precious baby.)

Buck absolutely loves being the little spoon but sometimes when he wakes in the middle of the night and sees Tommy is having a nightmare, he'll plaster himself to his back, wrap his arms around Tommy's middle, press his face into the back of his neck and just rock him until he settles.

Buck and Tommy don't wait very long to have sex; sex is one of the few things Buck isn't nervous about re. his blossoming relationship with Tommy. It's the more emotional, serious stuff that gives him nervous butterflies. He's a little shocked at how deep he is after so short a period of time, so he tries desperately hold back a part of himself--because shouldn't Buck be protecting himself after the way his past relationships have gone?--but it gets harder with every passing day. Buck realizes he's in love with Tommy after their sixth date (dinner at a sushi place; they squeeze shoulder-to-shoulder in a booth and Tommy rubs Buck's back as he goes over the menu and Buck thinks I love you but instead says let's get California rolls and split them), and he realizes he wants forever with Tommy after just two months (Buck is brushing his teeth at the sink while Tommy is showering and singing old Sinatra tunes wildly offkey, and Buck thinks I'd like to do this every morning for the rest of my life). Buck manages to keep all the big feelings inside until six months have passed, when he finally confesses to Tommy that he loves him and Tommy's like oh thank God, I fell for you after the coffee date and I've been panicking that it was too fast ever since and they laugh about it together.

Buck takes Jee with him to pick out a ring to propose; a few weeks later, Tommy absconds with Jee to pick out a ring for Buck. Somehow Jee is the only Buckley-Han who can keep a secret, and Buck and Tommy surprise each other with marriage proposals on their anniversary trip.

Buck gets Tommy's callsign and a tiny LAFD helicopter (wih a little Tommy at the controls) tattooed to the inside of his wrist. For Tommy's first tattoos, he gets Who cares?! tattooed on his forearm and a little stylized image of Buck's turnouts with 'BUCKLEY' on the back on his shoulder blade. (When they get married Tommy adds Kinard-Buckley around his ring finger; Buck adds a matching Kinard-Buckley to his ring finger, gets the last lines of Tommy's wedding vows to him on his wrist under Tommy's callsign, and adds a landing pad under the little helicopter with a little figure meant to be Buck waiting for the chopper to land. They're very sentimental.)

i understand why people hc that post-canon thistle might stay with or near falin assuming that he lives which i am because he does live, leave me alone. faligon caring for thistle and the mother-child imagery, etc. i get it. but i don't see falin actually being ready to take care of a traumatized 1000 year old teenager who would be struggling massively after having all his desires eaten.

there is, however, a character who's up to the task imho

she historically adopts short-lived races, but i think thistle's unique situation would be interesting enough for her to consider it. AND thinking about how thistle's fear of his short-lived family members dying was an issue, i think a caretaker who will die before him is ummmmm, not gonna be great for him.

also, she has some experience with ex-dungeon lords who have had their desires eaten (and if we wanna make this into a mirumisu situation where she asks mithrun's help with figuring out the best way to take care of thistle and then they fall in love? i won't complain)

i'm one hundred percent certain that after percy and annabeth made out underwater. and he wanted to make their relationship official. the question was not "will you be my girlfriend?" but "can i be your boyfriend?" i don't care what the canon says. percy gave annabeth the space to take the lead in the relationship. because after a lifetime of being abandoned by everyone she dared to care for. and then watching her on the brink of a panic attack at the thought of losing him the last four years. he wanted to honor a new beginning between them by follow her lead and moving at her pace.

i keep seeing posts about how ppl wish that deadpool and wolverine actually fucked in the honda odyssey... but they did! they used almost every cinematic shorthand for sex possible in that scene. the focus on penetration (knives, claws) in incredibly close proximity. the bodily fluids (blood) spraying everywhere. the car rocking. the day-to-night transition. the way they're laying beside each other afterwards. the very deliberate choice of "you're the one that i want" playing in the background. they fucked!! it's hays code era fucking, bc it had to be approved by disney at the end of the day, but it still counts!!

Solas was the first romance (and second playthrough) I did in dai so I didn’t really know what differences it made to the gameplay at the time. I mean there are only a couple flirts you can do in the first half of the game, and technically the actual romance path doesn’t start until Skyhold, so really didn’t know what to expect from it.

So fast forward a little bit to when Corypheus attacks Haven, and while during one of the trebuchet parts my Lavellan got downed. This wasn’t the first time this had happened, obviously, since this was my second playthrough. But I was absolutely not expecting Solas to yell “Fenedhis!” in a panicked voice when it happened.

The way he said it felt oddly out of character for him that I literally paused the game then and had to look up wtf he said and why. That’s when I found out that romanced companions have different dialogue for when inky gets downed in battle and my heart just melted. Especially considering everything that happens during that part of the game.

Because that happened during my first solavellan playthrough, I’ve always accepted the headcanon that Solas fell for Lavellan all the way back in Haven but was never going to act on it until she eventually made the first move. And is also the reason for why he drops the “Ar lath ma” bomb when he does.
