"It's... an honor to meet you as well, Calamity." Sai said a tad nervously before giving Silas a concerned glance before looking at her worriedly and spoke to her alone. "He wasn't always like this, you mean to say? You said your previous host's impacted him negatively... what were they to you and Silas if i may ask?"

"My host, she treated her Nymphs as pets. Something she could dispose of when she became uninterested."

"I regret my actions towards my followers, Nym and all those children my host stole." She sighed sadly, it seemed the tiny spirit genuinely felt remorse. "I greatly wish that I could reverse those many years I worked with her, but what is done is done. I cannot change the past actions of my predecessor." "I don't recall if I showed myself to Nym, But, I'm positive he could see me after I bestowed my gift. In other words."

"Thank you once again. I do not know what would have happened if I connected to Nym's energy instead." She thought for a moment, drifting aimlessly as she did so. "I believe I am thankful for his many rejections now. Nym does try to refrain from repeating those horrid things my host did, but he cannot truly escape her influence. I fear I would have returned to that spiteful spirit I once was. I do not know why I thought that was a proper idea, my judgement was clouded by a desire to be whole again." "Now, As to what happened to my host? Nym is the one that killed her. That, however, was almost 5 decades ago." "I don't know why but when he stood there frozen and full of fear, my previous iteration granted him the courage he needed to kill my host. Even if that did result in my predecessor's death as well. But yes, to me she was nothing more than another host and to Silas, she was much more. I hope that satisfies your curiosity at the very least."

i saw once that apparently you had no idea about a certain tunic in age of calamity so i thought i'd bring it to your attention for this thought...

and that thought is, both warriors and wild like to dress up as the other links considering their games let them use tunics from past incarnations.. including themselves hehe

like for example, in hyrule warriors you can unlock the tunic of the wild which turns hw link into botw link

BUT!!!! in age of calamity, if you finish all missions and quests and basically complete the whole game, you can unlock hw link's tunic!!

i think this is very very cool!!!

and i can never get this out of my head that they can wear eachother's outfits... like why does no one talk about that..

I really enjoyed your fic ‘Keep blessing me’, as someone who is plus size, I rarely see myself represented in media positively.

I can imagine reader being the type of person who is overlooked often, never been desired romantically and feels like she has been forgotten by the universe. Should you ask anyone who has taken part in some kind of competition at least once in their life, they will always say the same thing: the fourth place is the worst. Right under the podium, a hair's breadth away from being someone and yet they are nothing more than a mockery, the line separating memory and oblivion. Taking into account the series of unfortunate events you call your life, you were born in fourth place.

It was never anything explicit and perhaps that was the worst part. Had there been a groundbreaking revelation, a true calamity of heartache, you would have accepted it but it was that silence that sucked the life out of you. It wasn't that someone told you they hated you, it was that you were never chosen, drifting away on the waves of silence into the ocean of oblivion. Although you were born into this world, it never felt like you truly were part of it. Perhaps, all of existence was happening next to you or existence, to put it simply, refused to make you part of itself.

And then there was him - the Doctor, always scoring first place, always showered in gold medals and trophies because, truthfully, why wouldn't he? There was no way of telling how many catastrophes he had prevented, how many lives he had already saved. By his tireless service to the entire universe, it seemed as though he was born for this, to always be a winner. And the stories he told! How he had befriended so many species, how many hearts were offered to him that he had turned down. It was quite bittersweet, that you were so different and yet you were alive in the same universe.

Truthfully, you still didn't quite understand what ungodly whim made you his "partner in crime". The longer you were around him, the more you grow to understand just how not alike you were as if his brilliancy made you painfully aware of your mediocrity. Your place wasn't with him, quite obviously - he deserved someone better; someone you could never become. Maybe it would be better to leave soon, on your own, than have him grow impatient and simply throw you out. It wasn't the way you wanted to remember him, angry and annoyed, so you thought it best to relieve both of you of your underwhelming existence as soon as possible.

"You don't have to do this alone."

His voice caught you off guard. Has he been here this whole time? How long had he been staring at you, waiting for you to finally do something?

You turned around to look at him. The Doctor was leaning against the console, his arms crossed on his chest. By all accounts, it seemed that he had been standing there for quite a while, pondering whether he should speak up.

"I'm not sure what you mean," you answered with a slight shake of your head.

For a moment, he didn't say anything. His bright, green eyes stared into you as if he was waiting for something but you couldn't be sure what for exactly. After a while of silence, he left his spot to make his way towards you. His rhythmic footsteps echoed throughout the otherwise empty TARDIS.

"I'm not sure either," he spoke in a mild tone, "but I can tell something turned you sour. Whatever it is, you don't have to do this alone."

The Doctor gently wrapped his lanky arms around you, while you didn't quite know what to do. The moment he tightened his grip around you, something heavy inside your viscera pulled you towards the ground. You grabbed his tweed jacket with as much force as you could possibly muster. It felt as if the moment you let go of the coarse material, your whole body would simply fall apart. That gaping hole in your chest you tried your best to ignore suddenly felt deeper like a beast whose insatiable appetite only grows as it devours. This hunger or whatever it really was felt absolutely awful, so painful it coursed through your veins and filled your entire body with suffering. The Doctor gently shifted his body and your hands only tightened their grip on him as if there was no greater horror in this universe than him letting go of you.

"Just hold me," you whispered. "I'm lonely."

And he did just that.

Sometimes you thought about that one time you had asked the Doctor whether he slept. Truthfully, you never did see him sleep and somehow he was always full of energy. Did Time Lords not need rest? They were, after all, a very exceptional sort of aliens. In response, he only looked at you with a confused expression. "Why would I?" he asked, "It's eight more hours without you." You never did believe them but then, when the fourth place and the first place were equals for a moment, you thought that perhaps he did, in fact, mean them.

Little Kaveh and Carer Alhaitham Headcanons!

These two are some of my partner's favorites and I can't wait to meet them~

Kaveh regresses to 2-4 years old

He is sooo emotional while regressed! He's super empathetic and a bit of a crybaby

Little things like dropping one of his stuffed animals feels like the end of the world to him!

Alhaitham is a good foil to Kaveh's strong emotions; he's able to calmly talk his baby down from the apparent calamity that set him off, usually by providing either a simple solution to the problem or distracting Kaveh with something more fun

Of course, Kaveh has very strong positive feelings too! He gets so excited about things he likes, and Alhaitham finds it super endearing~

Alhaitham tends to be pretty laid back and honestly sometimes wishes that he felt more comfortable showing his emotions like Kaveh does... Luckily, said baby is perfectly happy to drag his dada along on all sorts of adventures!

Kaveh's not much into nature trips; he much prefers hopping around the city ooh-ing and aah-ing at the big, pretty buildings, which he always points out to Alhaitham (despite the building being pretty obvious!)

When they're out though, Alhaitham requires Kaveh to hold his hand at all times, because Kaveh has a tendency to run off and then end up scared and crying because he can't find his dada

Kaveh is always exhausted when they get back home, so he needs lots of help getting clean and into some comfy pajamas

When he gets too sleepy, its time for cuddles with dada and Kaveh's Immense army of stuffed animals

Alhaitham often reads out loud to Kaveh during evenings like this, when everything feels so warm and soft and his baby is being so sweet~

Ahhh, I'm obsessed with them... 🥹 I wasn't gonna do a full moodboard but I found too many pictures I liked, hehe~ The binkie is from Velueur, which looks like a real cute shop!

also gaffen facts

HM. lemme see

-he's around 5'4" (163 cm) and 151 pounds.

-post-brainworms gaffen has a few verbal mannerisms that I like to keep in mind when I write him (I've talked about this before briefly but. hehe.) "ah" is his preferred pause word, and he uses it pretty often. I also frequently use comma splices in his dialogue! he tends to do this when he is nervous or talking to hylia. he avoids using "can" to the point of making his sentences sound awkward. he generally avoids using contractions, but will use them occasionally. this combined makes him sound incredibly weird, and it's really fun to write. however! none of this is his natural speech pattern :] if he's not paying attention (or it's pre-brainworms) he'll slip into his natural speech.

-uhhh I have a youtube playlist for him

-he has a tiny gap in his front teeth because they are slightly misshapen! he also has a chipped bicuspid on his right side

-nell (the npc) may or may not be a distant relative of his. but he does have several relatives around hyrule! he doesn't know this but he will eventually learn he has a great grand-nephew (iirc. I need to look at the family tree I planned out)

-he has read up on as many books about court etiquette as he could find and he really doesn't get it. he also has tried to learn how to waltz. he is bad at it

-actually pre-calamity gaffen can't dance either. i do not like headcanons where botw link can dance

-he likes the climbing set, the sheikah set, and the hylian set. also probably the rubber and the glow in the dark one because he thinks they're funny

-idr if I've stated this publicly but the reason the yiga were able to get their hands on ancient weaponry in gboh is because gaffen kept dropping them when he found a better weapon and leaving them on the ground

-speaking of that! I think the idea of hestu being able to give the sheikah slate extra slots is weird in-universe so it's probably something he gets from purah insead. hestu probably just gives him money that he pays purah with. or there could be absolutely no incentive for gaffen to go after korok seeds. he would do it just to help hestu tbh

Yato

- Yato can be clingy at times, especially when you’ve been busy for a while. ((He’s highly affectionate, and will definitely steal you away for snuggles, if he can.))

- He loves randomly popping up out of nowhere and surprising you. ((Sometimes, a kiss to the cheek, or a surprise hug— Occasionally, even a random bouquet of flowers…))

- Yato likes to follow you around at work/school, and occasionally helps to complete small tasks. He takes full advantage of the fact people struggle to see him.

- Yato loves being in your presence, whether the two of you are just sitting in silence or talking— It doesn’t matter to him, so long as he’s with you.

- He’s incredibly patient with you, despite how childish he may seem at times.

- Yato despite his clinginess, does allow you your space. However, he’s incredibly protective. (( If he ever feels as though someone will harm you, he becomes surprisingly vicious. It’s moments like those that remind you, he was once known as a god of Calamity.))

- Yato loves taking naps with you, and is surprisingly cat like in his habits. After a nap, you may wake up to find him sprawled out across your stomach, or curled up against your side. It’s incredibly cute, and Yato surprisingly, takes an hour or so to fully wake up.

- Yato’s not incredibly possessive, but he does make it known that you’re his S/O. (( Sometimes, he does this himself by trailing harsh kisses across your form, and sometimes when he’s got a request, he’ll leave you with a trace of his energy. Regardless, there is an unspoken ‘do not touch’ agreement regarding you amongst the rest of the gods, lest Yato truly snap—))

Also we saw this ask like four? Five? Hours ago and went Oh Shit No We Don't and have spent the whole time drawing and we were like Oh we should throw our LC alters in there too since this is their blog and their mutuals should know who they're talking to! And then we got distracted and ONLY drew the alters and host's self insert and none of our OC's so :> we'll do that eventually though but we'll also do like another post with more info ANYWAYS here's the art we made of the self insert and the Lethal alters :3

Info for each of us under the cut (also Rend and Anno are heavily derived from a fever dream March had after we got surgery and had complications, as such they have a story and are pretty attached to it so we'll go into that too)

The "Story"/Fever Dream:

There were two crews who led a revolution against The Company about fifty years before the game takes place, and of them were eight people named Experimentation, Assurance, Vow, Offense, March, Rend, Dine, and Titan, and they weren't named after the planets, the planets were named after them. (Rend, March, Assurance, and Vow were on a team with Rend being the captain, and the other team was led by Titan and had Dine, Offense, and Experimentation.) Eventually, the revolution got pretty popular and widespread so The Company gave in and agreed to meet with the two teams to discuss their requests, and at the end of the discussion they promised the requests would take place within the next few weeks. The eight members of the revolution were satisfied and went back to work, but the next day they were given news that due to their conjoined efforts they would have to all split up and join different teams to ensure that they didn't again backstab the company once their requests were fulfilled. They, unfortunately, did not put up a fight against this and within the next quota cycle each of them were abandoned and killed on different, new moons none of them had ever seen before. The company never enforced the things they agreed upon but because the leaders of the revolution were killed before word of the promises got far, and because they mysteriously went missing and had new moons named after them, nobody said anything and nobody acted out against The Company.

Pace:

- Pace is Geno's self-insert OC and he uses He/Him pronouns and is transmasc <3

- He was an employee for The Company AFTER the time of the revolution and worked not as a scrap collector but as a biologist. His team was tasked with finding specific monsters and collecting some bio matter from them to then bring back to The Company. Pace had a rivalry with one of his teammates who was tired of Pace always succeeding, so, he pushed for Pace to receive a Bracken as his quarry and succeeded. However upon arriving Pace was easily able to find the Bracken of Vow (who was actually Vow from the revolution) and collect bio matter from it by befriending it, which enraged his competitor and led to both Pace and Vow being shot. Vow tried to protect Pace after realizing the shot that hit him was not meant for him, but both were too wounded to survive. Vow disintegrated atop of Pace, leaving him and his open wounds covered in Bracken spores, and his competitor left to eventually be killed by a coilhead. Their other two teammates made it out.

- The spores found the decomposing body of a human to be the perfect place to reform and create a new Bracken; that being Pace. Pace spent about twenty years hunting loot bugs and hiding from scrap collectors before a woman named Kite and her captain Calamity found him at the fire exit of Vow. The two found that he was friendly and took him upon their ship, but one of their teammates was appalled at having a "friendly" Bracken and, as they were leaving, pushed Calamity out of the ship in anger, landing her between a dog and a baboon hawk. Pace jumped to rescue her and while he was successfully able to lure the dog away enough for Calamity to safely jump back on the ship, he was grabbed by the Dog and torn to shreds. The ship's autopilot took off while he was fighting the dog and the crew (excluding the asshole) started to panic.

- The next day Vow was eclipsed and, much to Calamity and Kite's disdain, the crew decided to wait for the eclipse to pass before landing back down on Vow and looking for Pace. Meanwhile, Pace had managed to crawl his way back to the fire exit, tumbling down the ravine, and set himself up on a pallet just inside the door. There, sleeping through the whole day, he was able to slowly heal.

- The third and last day of the quota cycle, Calamity's crew got into another argument with Asshole over going to save Pace, and landed at Vow without realizing another team (March's team, as he had already been rescued by a crew by this time) had already landed there. Calamity and Kite rushed in to find Pace while Sail, the crew's navigator and Kite's twin brother, argued with the asshole. The captain of the other crew, who's ship was nearby, overheard an argument about saving a "friendly bracken" and connected the dots that another crew must have found someone like March, their friendly coil-head, and walked out to confront the two. Sail left to help Calamity and Kite find Pace, and the captain (name yet unknown) spoke with the asshole, found out he wanted to kill Pace and attempted to kill his own captain, and promptly hit him over the head with a shovel in order to protect not just his crew, but March as well. The asshole was left there as the captain rushed in to inform his crew of another friendly monster and tell the other crew bus was happy to help, and the asshole was left there to be picked up and carried away by a Giant.

- Pace was eventually found , missing most of his arm, leg, and leaves on his left side, and the two crews met up and became friends. Pace was placed in a large pot covered up to his shoulders in dirt and for the next few quota cycles his crew would place him outside to soak up the sun and look around. Because his arm and leg were fully submerged in the soil and water, they regrew, but his eye never did. He doesn't mind too much though, he can tell when things are looking at him and, in his opinion, that's all he really needs his eyes for. He helps scavenge for scrap and is able to carry two heavy items at a time, however, he can only carry one light item when doing so as it's uncomfortable to hold in his big hands

March:

- March was our first LC alter and has been around since about late October? He's not too conncected to his source and is actually the version of March from our fever dream BEFORE the revolution ended. So though the March in our dream was a coil head by the end of it, our March still thinks of himself as human. Being compared to a coil doesn't bother him though, they're his favorite enemy in the game :) also he's mute and considers himself cis and demiro-ace.

Rend:

- Rend is also one of our alters but is a lot more attached to both the game and the "story" so he has some funky false memories and is a little delulu about it, but he's happy and healthy and aware of reality and not hurting anyone or our system or himself so we don't mind hehe also, Rend is transmasc just like host and his pronouns are he/him but he's trying out they/it

- Rend is of course based on Captain Rend from the "story" but, unlike March, is from AFTER he died and he much prefers being seen as a nutcracker than a human. Our assumption over why is because Rend had actually been a fragment for most of our life who managed family interactions, and since that was all our brain found him fit for he never really gained a personality or sense of self and as such thinks he looks exactly like our host and would probably share the same name and everything. We think subconsciously our brain makes him like being a nutcracker more than a human in order to make it easier to distinguish him and host

- Rend, being much more intrigued by the fever dream likes daydreaming about it a lot, like he's roleplaying in his head in his own, and as such he likes talking about it and thinking about it a lot more than March does. So, here's some things he daydreams about a lot and thinks would be "canon" continuations of the "story"/fever dream:

- Before March's team found Pace and his team, they got to a pretty high quota and started visiting Rend and Dine. One of their first times visiting Rend, Melody, an employee on March's team, found a seemingly deactivated nutcracker deep in the facility. The team had split up so Melody knew she would have to be careful, but she wanted the shotgun so she crept close and clumsily grabbed it, setting it off. This startled here and she backed off, watching in silent horror as the Nutcracker slowly started to move and stand and, eventually, open up and look around. In panic, Melody ran despite being looked at and, for a moment, Rene stood there confuse before he realized he had finally found someone. Forgetting his voice, he chased after her for a bit but she would frequently stop and hold still so he had trouble. Eventually he shouted to her to wait and she paused, turning to look at the apparently able to speak nutcracker just as March had sped up beside her to block the path between her and Rend. Staring down at an employee with his shotgun and a coilhead that was looking at him and not said employee, Rend ran. In instinct, as she had gotten used to March by now, Melody turned and March gave chase. He was scared and angry that the nutcracker had presumably tried to shoot his friend and, upon trying to push the nutcracker to get it to stop running, he sent a surge through its body and caused it to bleed (like how we headcannon them to work, building up pressure in the body's blood). Melody followed a few rooms behind, having trouble keeping up with the two big monsters but, when Rend was hurt he screamed, and Melody knew that wasn't any of her teammates so she picked up the pace. Rend had been cornered but Melody caught sight of March which forced him to stop moving, and tried to rush to the nutcracker when she saw him bleeding, but, turning her back to March Rend panicked and stepped between the two, telling Melody that he wanted to talk to her but couldn't protect her with the state he was in, so she needed to look at the coil head. He was seemingly trying to protect her. For his comfort she did look at March, but tried to assure him to calm down, sit for a little so she could try and tend to whatever part of him was bleeding, and that she would be more than willing to talk. They spoke for a while, Rend having trouble believing that the coil was friendly given how it seemingly tried to explode him, but he let bygones be bygones. Melody and March both started to wonder if this was one of his old friends but they had decided beforehand not to bring it up to any possible teammates without getting a gauge for their mental state, and Rend was very frazzled so they decided to wait to ask his name or story until he calmed down. They gave him back his shotgun, he turned the safety on, and Melody convinced him to open up so she could tend to his bleeding eye, and eventually the three started to make their way back to main in order to meet up with the rest of the team and get Rend out to their ship

- On the way there they met up with the teammate March had been with before he came running after he heard the gunshot, but this teammate was actively running from a thumper. Rend tried to shoot it but missed due to his eye injury and urged the rest of them to run as he'd hold it back as long as possible. The three left and Rend dragged the Thumper around for a bit before it got loose and rocketed down the hallway after the three. Rend, knowing the layout like the back of his hand, took an alternate route to get to main in order to hopefully outpace the thumper. He made it in time to tackle the thumper and send it and him over the balcony railing where they landed near Melody, March, and their other teammate who were actively trying to scare off a Bracken. Rend urged them to head outside and leave for their safety and they did. It took them a while to get back enough money to go back for Rend, and in this time they met Pace and his team. Rend is still actively daydreaming about this all the time so I'm sure he'll infodump about it more another time.

Anno:

- Anno has been around for the least amount of time, we had a major allergic reaction while Rend was fronting and so he spent time curled in a ball daydreaming as he always loves to. For comfort he daydreamed about cuddling a friendly masked, but eventually got so fed up he told our partner, aloud "I really hate this body" and our little asshole of a brain (/lh) essentially went "oh really? New alter be upon ye" and turned that cute little Masked Rend was daydreaming about into a new fragment. Anno has since become more concrete, he's transmasc and uses it/its pronouns, and it's not very interested in Lethal Company but LOVES Rend a lot. It's just kinda gay and likes Minecraft, like those are its things so far. Rend has decided that if Anno was in the "story" it would've been from far before the revolution and was left behind by mistake. That's about it for Anno, it's just kinda a thingy that's very gay

Wow so that's the end of that, I'm incapable of making long stories short apparently tee hee. I've been talking for way too long and I doubt anyone got this far, but this was mostly for us since we're soupy right now and it made us feel grounded. If you got this far Anno gives you a cookie.

I’ll use this to tell yall a bit more about him

-He grew up in hateno; his father was a knight-turned-farmer after getting honorably discharged(I tried to look up how that works for royal guards, couldn’t find anything on it so I’m just gonna assume it’s the same as it is for US military)

-He(Leo) was always a pretty snarky guy, though before the calamity it was mostly in his head. After the calamity, though, he has a bit of trouble keeping his thoughts to himself. He kind of just says whatever pops into his head

-And because of such, a lot of people talk, and you can imagine where that goes.

“That can’t be the princess’s knight! He’s way too disrespectful!”

-This causes some major insecurities for Leo. First he had to train for the master sword, when he used to just have it, and now he can’t even control his mouth?

-Hehe funny boy trauma.

-He also has a lot of pent up anger towards the goddesses, especially after choosing him again when he failed. Is it just so they can laugh at him? Watch him fail again? He thinks so.

-He doesn’t wanna do this. He wants to save Zelda, of course, but he wished he didn’t have to.

-And don’t even get me started on how tragic it was when totk happened.

-The panic attack this boy had, yeesh

-I’m thinking about giving him scars, I’m just not sure where they’ll be yet, but know he’s got some.

-Now onto some fun stuff—this boy loves animals. Dogs, his horses, all of them.

-He likes the caves. They’re like little mazes and it’s fun to go through them.

-Shield-surfs. Literally. Everywhere. And I mean Everywhere.

-Hates the depths, thinks they’re terrifying

-Ironically though, he does like treasure hunting in there.(Will do anything when there’s treasure and money involved)

-Loves to fight lynels and boss bokoblins.

1. The name of the sixth of the Seven Mysteries of Yumenosaki, 悪夢ノ咲 / akumu no saki, is a combination of the words “悪夢 / akumu / lit. nightmare” and “夢ノ咲 / Yumenosaki / lit. blooming of dreams”.

I’ve chosen to translate this as “Nightmenosaki”; a portmanteau of “nightmare” and “Yumenosaki”.

2. Both “Kisaragi Station / きさらぎ駅” and “Ura S ku / 裏S区” are ghost stories posted on the Japanese online forum 2channel. I can’t seem to find anything in English for the latter ghost story, but the basic gist of it is that a young boy wanders into a place called “Ura S ku” (“ura / 裏” meaning “behind” or “opposite side” and “ku / 区” meaning “district”), and talks about his odd and strange encounters with the residents there.  The connection here that these two stories share with the sixth Yumenosaki Mystery is that they all talk about someone who wanders into another space/world and encounters odd things.

Hitsugi: The sixth of the Seven Mysteries of Yumenosaki – “Nightmenosaki[1]”.

It starts with an introduction that’s common amongst most ghost stories: Late at night, a student sneaks into a dark Yumenosaki to fetch something he forgot.

Yumenosaki is an idol training school and security is pretty tight, so sneaking in can be a difficult task.

That student snuck in carefully using a route that no one would use.

He headed towards his classroom and tried to find the item he had left behind.

But then, he noticed something was strange.

He couldn’t find his classroom anywhere. In fact, the floors, walls and ceilings were old and crumbling to the ground.

Inside that ruin of a school were creepy “men in black” who were roaming the area.

If you get spotted by those men, then you’re out. You’ll get killed and won’t ever be able to return to your own world.

NEGI: “That’s a common ghost story~ If the people who experience that mysterious stuff are killed, then how did the ghost story come into being?”

“Don’t tell me a ghost rattled on and on about what they experienced and spread those rumours?”

Hitsugi: That’s because those on the mysterious side were the ones who told, of course. They did it to warn the students not to get close to the school at the dead of night.

A school falling to ruins that’s similar to Yumenosaki and only appears at night – that’s “Nightmenosaki”.

There are a surprising amount of ghost stories that talk about how people wander into a scary world. “Kisaragi Station[2]” and “ “Ura S ku[2]” are pretty popular, aren’t they?

The reason why anyone would be scared of those stories is probably because everyone has experienced being lost in an unknown place before.

They don’t know anything about their surroundings and there’s a fear that completely envelops them… That must be the first form of fear we of all humanity felt.

NEGI: “What are you talking about? I know you like the occult and scary stuff but…”

Hitsugi: Hehe. Please don’t panic – today is a new day and it has only just begun.

I’m sure you’ll still make it for “Star Fest” even if we chat for a long time. Slow and steady wins the race, Onee-chan.

NEGI: “You’re the one who tends to get panicked. Hearing that from you kinda irritates me.”

Hitsugi: Hehe. The Seven Mysteries of Yumenosaki are all made-up stories created to hide a repulsive truth.

It’s just foolish talk to erase the line connected to God. A product created from manipulating information.

That’s also precisely what “Nightmenosaki” is.

A calamity befell this land in the past. A flood caused a great landslide and the old Yumenosaki school became buried in the ground.

NEGI: “Ohh, I see…”

Hitsugi: Yes. “Nightmenosaki” is that buried school.

Right now, the building that has disguised itself as a ruin is the underground home of Ayase-senpai and the others.

Judging by the structure and the time period, I think Ayase-senpai and the others lived underground before that, but the landslide brought the school and several other things from the surface…

Ayase-senpai and the others in his family are making convenient use of that.

And in the current era, the connection between the underground and the surface exists – even if it’s miniscule and in the form of ghost stories.

That student used the route to go underground and entered the old and crumbling Yumenosaki school – that is the truth behind “Nightmenosaki”.

NEGI: “I had this thought before but if people spread that sort of ghost story, then wouldn’t idiots set up tests of courage here and storm the place?”

Hitsugi: Those sorts of idiots aren’t suited for being idols. Not for the type of idol God is looking for.

So those idiots are placed on a black list and made so that they can never find success in this industry.

You’ll be deprived of your role if you get near the taboo. That’s one common rule Yumenosaki and the far away Reimei Academy share.

Those who get too close to God – too close to the sun – will have their wax wings melted and they’ll fall to the ground.

NEGI: “We were deprived of our role, too.”

Hitsugi: Yes. It’s frustrating. But we’re still alive.

The Seven Mysteries are a few lines that connect to God. We’ll follow those thin spider threads and we’ll escape from hell.

And we’ll kill the demon that’s sitting in God’s place – “Priest”.

God is at the centre of the world. There are still many believers in the industry who think that way.

First, we’ll make those believers of the former God our allies.

And we’ll reveal the entire truth – accusing “Priest” of being a fake God.

That’s the only way we can live. 

No. That’s the only way we can seek revenge on “Priest”.

NEGI: “Just so you know, I’m not looking for a bloody battle.”

Hitsugi: I know. You want someone to listen to your songs, right, Onee-chan?

NEGI: “No. I want someone to acknowledge me – I want someone to know that I exist.”

“‘Star Fest’ is the perfect opportunity to do that.”

“It’s the second biggest idol festival aside from ‘SS’. I’ll wear the best outfit that Anzu made for me and…”

“I’ll sing. I’ll let the whole world know.”

“That we’re right here.”

“Anzu might be in a difficult situation right now, but if I sing, then maybe that will give her some courage.”

“It’ll show her that she’s someone amazing… That she’s the best ‘producer’ who can make someone shine the brightest. Maybe that will get through to her.”

“Those sorts of successful experiences and feelings make people strong.”

“That’s what I will send to her.”

Hitsugi: Can you risk your life for that, Onee-chan?

NEGI: “Who are you speaking to? I’m already dead but I’ve been given the right to risk my life once more.”

“There’s nothing that could make me happier. Thank you, Hitsugi.”

Hitsugi: No, no. I love your singing so I just wanted to hear it again.

Hehe… Alright. I understand how you feel now.

It’s a “producer’s” job to respect those feelings and support their idol.

Let’s make use of the Seven Mysteries and escape from here.

That ghost story proves that the underground and surface are connected. We’ll find that connection and escape.

NEGI: “Right. I feel bad since it’ll mean Mayoi-sensei’s kindness would have been for naught. He protected us all this time.”

“But if we told him we wanted to leave, he would’ve definitely stopped us. He’s too kind.”

Hitsugi: Yes. It’s unknown how much the Seven Mysteries contain the truth, but it was stated that the student wandered into “Nightmenosaki” at “the dead of night”.

Maybe that’s the only time the connection will open. Come to think of it, that’s also the time when Anzu-senpai came to see us.

NEGI: “I see. I hope we can escape before a new day arrives.”

“Otherwise, we won’t make it in time for ‘Star Fest’.”

Hitsugi: Right. All the idols standing on this year’s “Star Fest” stage will call themselves Santa…

this one is her cherubic design! i put a lot of thought into the references i can make with her outfit. Namely though, I wanted to kind of make it look like a complete mish-mash of several inspirations from LE, haute couture, alt callie, and a few other bloodswap designs I'm familiar with. She's the LADY OF SPACE! Referred to as Her Grace of Space. The Goddess of Vast Light. She isn't exactly going to be subdued in her look. She wants everyone to look upon her with immediate recognition, and following it will be fear.

This one I JUST finished. Like last night at eleven pm just finished. Rendering my beloathed... This is inspired by song lyrics from Circle With Me by Spiritbox and Cyberhex by Motionless In White. I really like the idea of the imagery of Callie consuming the Green Sun. It's striking!

So, for why Caliborn is on Earth-C. I honestly had fun rationalising this one!

For one, Caliborn is very, very cold. Another thing is that- I don't think cherubim were meant to go into black holes. I'm pretty sure that, while yes they mate near them, I don't think they fall in. It's something I feel is just something that doesn't happen. So cal being trapped within one is notable. But, we aren't talking about Caliborn being trapped! We're talking about him getting out.

Honestly if he were to tell it, he'd say he "FOUGHT TO GET OUT." or something. But the truth is he fractures,* his young body is rejected and he falls out. He retains only the passive effects of his godtier, like an understanding of timelines and being able to traverse them. But he has no control in this state.

*What do I mean by this? I basically think that he and le are seperate entities. In a lot of ways they literally are! Le is a combination of several souls and abilities and powers. He kinda reminds me of how the Condesce can learn all caste abilities. Caliborn has the abilities and knowledge of several godtiers including his own complete mastery of time. So, when Caliborn falls out and onto Earth-C, it's just a fraction of his soul and body. He's young again because it's a portion of his (falsely) mature body and he's very weak because it's only a portion of his soul. The rest is in the black hole. And due to some fuckery, he can feel it too. It's cold. He's constantly dizzy and disoriented. He is especially unnerved by this because cherubim are... this incredible species. He feels sick without context for what illness feels like. It's a pretty terrible experience for him but he's at least well enough to still be terrible to everyone.

Now for Callie. Honestly this is one is more simple. Her life ring fills her body with the very force of life! She may not have predominated, but she is full to bursting of more than enough energy for her body to age correctly. She can grow wings, become much taller, and toned. She doesn't really understand it yet but she really likes walks and runs because it's her body telling her to exercise and maintain her muscle mass.

For one I made her wish to be beautiful, which is why her face and everything is very Pretty and Sculpted and Lovely. Secondly though. She thinks her birth mark is a blemish on her looks, and seeing it not only A) remain after her wish and B) be her weakest point in a battle felt kinda like a slap in the face. The best song on the album genuinely i think Mucka Blucka (Intro to Cacophony) is really well crafted, as an overture to the whole album and just as a banger in general, it goes through so many movements and tone shifts and yet it all feels cohesive AND chaotic in the best way possible. also hehe funny chicken puns

My favorite song on the album FUCK how do I choose. It's between The Bidding and Two Wuv for me.

My least favorite song on the album We're Gonna Win, definitely. It's not bad! But I just really like the sort of manic determination/spitefulness of the Rob Cantor original better.

The most overrated song on the album I mean, probably Ruler of Everything, but I also love that song so much and its what got me into the album in the first place so who's to say.

Most underrated I don't see nearly as many people talking about how much Variations on a Cloud slaps, tbh

Salt, Spice, and Everything Controversial || Open!

I'll begin by saying that, narratively as far as making the story feel fuller and better connected in TotK, it's still...not great. As we discussed, there are more holes in the plot than a window screen and, therefore, everything just falls apart and feels less impactful and pointless. While they obviously took notes from BotW to address the narrative to make it better, there still needed to be a whole lot more attention to detail in this game as well within the story elements. There are too many just really careless decisions in the writing in both games that stunt their impacts. In fact, a lot of that carelessness then translates into basically every character in the game looking like a total idiot (the hole we talked about with Zelda and the Sages not retrieving the Secret Stone from Ganondorf's headdress after Rauru sealed him a BIG example).

And that's not mentioning how a lot of the ancient past bits just feels like a complete OoT rip off, if not an entire rewrite (I'm still clinging to the idea it's not that and it CAN'T be that but) done worse. They basically just changed the Triforce to the Secret Stone and called it a new, original story.

Plus, it makes things from BotW just not make sense, too. the Divine Beasts and all the Sheikah tech is just...gone. Completely save for a Guardian on top of the Hateno Tech Lab. For some reason, despite this being a few years after BotW, people don't remember you somehow, even though Link has been traveling with Zelda all that time and he SAVED them from the Calamity. There were more I had while playing but my brain is going brrr. Point is once again that it just feels like these two stories were just really carelessly handled and not given the proper attention they needed to REALLY make both of these games as stellar as too many want to say they are.]

im gonna talk about totk, so spoilers. like big time, majory holy heckie spoilers. SPOILERS. End game spoilers!!!!!!!

BOTW/TOTK!Zelda is got to be the most bad ass princess of all time, because she really sacrificed herself to get the master sword to Link. For centuries even! Like, this girl already had to deal with being a seal for Calamity Ganon in BOTW for 100 years, and was only 17 at the time, but now, if the time skip is to be accurate, being 6 years, she is at least in her early twenties, and also kicks ass even more. Turning into a dragon? Based. Helping out Rauru and Sonia to keep an eye on Ganondorf, the most dangerous person in LoZ? Amazing. She is smart, courages, and most importantly, very very kind, if her actions across Hyrule post BOTW are anything to say about that.

She worked really hard to help people. Build a school house in Hateno, helped out various people across the land that struggled from the Calamity, and then decided to take a huge ass risk in losing herself to become a dragon for 10,000 years! Bruh! I think she really been through a lot, and I admire her for it! She is the coolest princess to exist! Though, ofc, you also got Wind Waker Zelda/Tetra too, being able to help out Link in that fight with Ganondorf. But they kept WW!Zelda locked in the basement of the fallen Hyrule Castle, and left her there until the end. Kind of sucks, because Tetra was an utter badass, despite being a child.

Honestly, I really liked her characterization in this game. She really has gone through a lot, and seeing her again at the end of the game, after all we did, was beautiful. I love her sooooo much. I also love her TOTK design a lot more than her BOTW one, mostly because the short hair is soooo cute!

While TOTK is what I expected, and wasn't disappointed, I had hoped for more with Zeldie. And while I certainly don't mind her role, I wish I could had spent more time with her, before she went back in time. Maybe even played as her, or something, even if brief. I'd like to get to know the other Zonai in the game. Felt like they didn't have enough time to shine, but the brief moment they did was pretty fun. Wish to have gotten to know her more.

Anyway, yeah, love this Zelda. She has got to be my top favorite now! Utter badass!

Also that last battle? Woof, it was amaaazing! Dragon Zelda top tier! I wish I could cosplay as her. hehe~.
