How I Started a Successful Biltong Beef Jerky Company In The Middle Of a Pandemic Lockdown

It was the middle of a pandemic and there wasnt much to do. Many of you were in lockdown forced to spend time with your family or close freinds in what was deemed....the " Bubble". Me and and my mom were no different in the sence we could only really hang out with each other , but we were different in the sence we knew how to keep busy and how to start a business. Being the entreprenerial spirits that we were, we decided that cooking was the best way to keep our minds occupied. To tell the real story of how a mom and son started a biltong shop and how I was able to support my self year round with the best biltong in canada, we need to go back in time for a little trip :)

I had suffered from depression on and off and about 6 months earlier was really struggling. Over the years I had found one cure for my depression that to most might seem strange but seemed to cure my depression over night. Psylocybin is the active compound in magic mushrooms and I had much experience with them over the years. Victoria B.C was a new city and unfortuantely making new freinds and going to festivals wasnt as easy as it once was hence being in lockdown and in fear of catching a deadly virus. I was going through a dark phase in the midst of a global pandemic and was needing my old freind psylocibin to get me out of this deep fark hole I was in.

I didnt want to buy them off the internet so I decided I would learn to grow them in my closet..welp. I half succeeded in my endevaour. I had 2 tubs and one tub went mouldy and from the other one I burnt them to a crisp in my oven trying to dry them because I didnt have a dehydrator.

Christmas was around the corner so I decided I would ask for a dehydrator from santa clause. We spent Christmas in vancouver where my sister lived and she ended up getting me that dehydrator as a gift.. wooo. By that time my mushroom escapades had come to a moldy hault so off I went back to Victoria to hang out with mumsy cakes in our bubble.

The saga continues...

It was a crisp winter day in victoria on fishermans warf where my mother owns a floating bed and breakfast... yes floating. Its a humungous float home where people from all over the world come to stay in private rooms with their own balconies that pertrude from the house over the water.

Mom has always been an entreprenuer and I was always starting online business so that I could live the passive income life in thailand blah blah blah yea right. Nothing had ever really caught on enough so that I could pay my bills so I was always in the mindset of finding a new business or seeing opportunities that I thoght could be profitable. Its a blessing a curse having this mindset because you can't turn it off but never the less I digress.

So there I was in my moms kitchen with a dehydrator and nothing to do...

" Lets try making some biltong! " I said to my mom.

" Ok! " she said

We went online and started finding all sorts of recipes and we combined a couple together we liked. We had no idea what was going to happen and what kind of meat to use etc. We did some more reserch and found out the best biltong meat is high grade eye of round beef.

So we made a list of all the biltong ingredients and off we went to get everything we needed!

When we got back to the house it was time to make our attempt at making some biltong beef jerky! I cut open the bag of eye of round and washed it off in the sink then put it on the cutting board quickly to realize I had no idea what I was doing . I knew that I wanted to have lots of fat on my biltong because that was the best part growing up. Me and my dad used to buy the big biltong strips and he would show me how to slice it with a hunting knife like him and buddies did back in South Africa. I always used to love bits with fat on it but there never seemed to be enough . I knew I wanted lots of fat so off I went..

The eye of round piece has one side of the slab covered in fat so I got creative and came up with a way of cutting the strips so they had a long layer of fat running up the side. We salted the slabs I cut, added a pepper and coriander mix and placed them in the dehyrdrator.

We didnt know how much time biltong would take so we used a couple guidelines from the inter web. We left it over night to dehydrate and when I came over to taste it I was very excited.

I used a sharp knife to cut a strip like my dad showed me and the fat was glistening in the sunlight and you could see the marbeling in the side of the biltong strip when you cut it into smaller peices. I had never seen biltong this jucie and soft before. I put it in my mouth and to my suprise it was literally the best biltong I had ever eaten.

" We should sell this ! " I exclaimed!

" You think we could " My mom said curiously

" Let's put it on facebook market place and see what happens " My entreprenuerial brain kicked in!

I put it up on facebook market place and within minuted my phone started beeping and buzzing... Orders started coming in!

People were coming to the house within 10 minutes of me posting with cash in hand. I was extremely excited ! I high fived my mom after meeting a customer that was masked up and social distancing.

" I think we have a business on our hands " I said

Over the next few months we learned alot about the meat industry , about lab testing and about getting approved by the Victoria Island health Authorty. We needed to take the facebook stuff down because we werent making it in a commercially licenced kitchen. Luckily I had a freind contact me because he was seeing all my facebook posts and he taught me that it needs to be tested for ph and shelf life etc and that we wouldnt be able to sell it to the public without these tests . Co incidentally he owned a lab testing facility up island and the stars seemed to be aligning for Robertson's Biltong! We paid for all the necessary tests and found a commercial kitchen close by and started making it for local people but that was small potatoes so I had another Idea...

The plot thickens..

I had been producing hip hop beats for over 15 years and had learned a ton about marketing, graphic design, facebook ads sales funnels etc so decided to use all those skills and poor them into our new business. I created the logo, the website, and started designing beautiful packaging that I would later order from china to save money.

After the website was looking great and the facebook tracking pixel was installed I knew I could run a campaign and track the return on my ad spend so I knew if the ad was profitable or not.

I created a facebook marketing campaign and went canada wide with it.. the results were staggering.

Before I knew it I had a 5x return on my adspend and we were selling 600$ worth of biltong a day to customers as far as the North West Territories and Ontario. We were overwhelmed in the kitchen and extremely happy with what was happening. Things were going great untill one day I got a message to my chat box on my website..

The huge bummer..

As it turns out someone , and when I say someone I mean a large competitor in Ontario noticed we were stealing their customers and found our website. They explained to me that what we were doing was illegal and that we werent allowd to sell across canada because we werent making it in a FEDERALLY licenced kitchen.

" What in the world is a federally licenced kitchen? " I said to my mom as she read more of the messages.

Turns out its a massive facility that has inspectors come in almost weekly and without a certification from the CFIA ( Canadian Food Inspection Agency ) stating it is being made at one of these facilities we could not ship outside of B.C .

I was upset to say the least. Just when I thought I had found my way in life and finally started a succesfull biltong business the book was thrown at me . Being the rebel that I am I decided to keep doing it .. I thought it was a tehnically , I didnt think it was that serious.. welp, when I started getting emails from federal agents telling us to stop I knew it was time to obey the law . A stupid one at that I might add.

Our profits dropped 80% and things got tough. But when the going gets tough the tough get going.

" Lets do the Farmer's Markets " I said.

My mom was skeptical and to be ohnest so was I . I didnt think we were going to make anywhere close to what we were making but we had to fill the void of those sales that were no longer pooring in faster than we could handle.

We started doing the farmers market in James Bay and In Esquimalt and at first it was a bit of a bummer. We didnt have a good spot at either of the markets especially Esquimalt because we weren't in the " flow " of people who usually walk in a circle to see all the vendors.

I knew i needed to get creative again. I truly believed in my heart that this was the best beef jerky on planet earth and I wanted people to be able to sample it. At that time covid rules were just lifting enough that we were aloud to sample. People were 10 feet away from me at the market and they didnt know what biltong was so I came up with a nifty sales pitch that I knew would draw people in.

" Hey guys ! Do you want to try the best beef jerky on planet Earth?! "

I would hear them say " well thats a bold statement " , " Well when you put it like that I have to try it now! "

It was working it was causing curiosity and people started trying it and people started buying it!

As it stands right now we are doing 3 markets a week in Victoria and Nanaimo and we cant seem to make enough biltong and people absolutely love it. It is becoming something that is changing my life because when people ask me what I do I can proudly say

I make the best biltong beef jerky on planet Earth

Silco : the boy didn't even haggle. Ekko: he didn't even haggle I charged him double price

It's funny because they both are talking about Jayce :D

This is actually a really important through-line, in a way. We know from this that Jayce is a terrible negotiator, and hasn't truly grown out of his naivete.

But if you think about it, jayce's bad negotiating skill led to the successful creation of hextech by him meeting Viktor and the downfall of silco by just wanting jinx in exchange for the nation of Zaun.

I loved Jayce character he is a scientist who wanted to make people lives better,he doesnt have the stomach for war and dead bodies,the way I see it in season 2 after jinx rocket he will be hardened and will be able to stomach it or he will stay the same (which I personally hope) and be an original nuisanced character.

First and foremost they are probably gonna fight each other probably for jinx and for his gauntlets back. Also with Mel probably died in season 2 and if caitlyn mother dies which could separate her and vi for a time. So probably gonna be in until the end of season 2 that they get back together thus jayce is probably the fling or one night stand. Cuz she is gonna need him to fix her gauntlet. eventually. Go Visexual.

I considered it bad negotiating with Benzo, but with Silco, I don't think it's naivety. I think he agreed. As we see when he presents the demands to the council, he agreed with them.

Not haggling with Silco doesn't show he's still naïve, it shows that he's willing to give Zaun freedom. That's why Silco's so disturbed by it. He wanted it to be hard so he could hate the Pilties, blame them for obstructing him. But Jayce didn't play games. He didn't even haggle.

Jayce is driven character, haggling means stopping for a moment from what he wants to do. If he is sure of what he wants, he just does it, he wanted to harness magic through science, he broke many laws to accomplish it. Haggling over price of some second grade equipment was irrelevant for this goal. Unfortunately, after he created hextech, he wanted it to do good, but wasnt sure how, thats why he did many seemingly contradictory things. On one hand wants to help asap, but on the other he doesnt want to endanger everyone. On one hand he wants to get rid of elite power plays, on the other he cant to that alone, without power plays of his own. After killing that kid, he finally realized, that the only way for them to improve this situation is to simply let them be independent, free, thats why he didnt haggle with Silco. He only demanded to return things that belonged to Piltover (to signify their parting ways), stop production of shimmer (that is a danger to them both) and give up Jinx (coz she was behind deaths of many enforcers on Piltovers ground, unlike rest of Silcos underlings).

The best part is he had a prime opportunity to shorten Silco's list of demands after he demanded Jinx. Silco visibly did not want to do that, which gave Jayce a powerful bargaining chip. Like "Fine you want to keep Jinx? Then you can't use the Hexgates." Or something like that. And I think Silco would have folded. Man's not really good at negotiating lol.

Would be very interesting see Warwick hunting Seveka in season too kinda bring the whole thing full circle. She was the one who pointed out how "weak" he had become and would be an interesting fight to see her face the monster she wanted him to be

I would get fucking chills, i can just imagine warwick repeating "weak WEAK WEAK WEAK WEAK," or some shit like that and Seveka just going :O Person on Warwick splash art looks kinda like Sevika. It has metal arms, idk.

I think also during the last scene with Sevika by the empty chair, the lyric is "what we could have been", hinting at what Sevika and Silco could have done for an independent Zaun. Because now that Silco is gone, there is no real leader to step into place like Silco did when Vander "died", hence Zaun is likely heading towards darker, more chaotic times.

Also all the symbolism and lyrical narration during the last scene is just perfect.

In act 2, when Victor sits at the sewer outlet contemplating his own mortality, He asks Heimerdinger if he ever thinks about death. Heimerdinger replies,

"Only the deaths of friends."

When Victor visits that same spot in act 3, he is mourning the death of a friend.

If you read Urgot's bio it says he was sent to Pilltover to hunt someone from Noxus who challenged the ruling party. Even though this was Madam Medarda's son she did say whoever killed her son would not stop till their entire family was dead. So even though in his bio his mission doesn't go as planned I think its likely we may see or atleast get a refence to Urgot in Season 2

Also while this is a weak connection Fiddlesticks tends to hunt in areas of great fear and paranoia. I do believe before moving to Demacia due to the mage rebellion, his prior hunting ground could've been Piltover/Zaun because of the high tension between the two cities and both fearing the outcomes of war. This would explain why the crows are seen in areas on Zaun where we see no other natural life

Another detail related to Viktor, and Jinx. Viktor after his first interaction with the cube. In ever scene, Viktor had used his cane under his right arm, because that's the leg that was the weakest. After his leg changes, he starts using the cane under his left arm. I took this to mean that after the change, in comparison to his new transformed leg, his other leg felt extremely weak and frail in comparison.

And Jinx with all the crow symbolism, is that crows are also a symbol of bad omens, or bad luck. Meaning, whenever we see a crow, it means that the situation has been 'jinxed'. But also the 'monster' flashes weren't meant to represent Powder's family. Each time Vi had mentioned a name, one of those monsters covered up the name. When she mentioned Clagger, it showed him before flashing the red monster. It's why the red monster looks like it's wearing goggles on its head.

Silco actually got the shot off he just missed. The gun was smoking after he got shot and there is a hole in Vi's chair.

An extra detail to Jinx's ultimate is that the further it travels, the more damage it causes. I believe this was reflected by showing her rocket changing as it traveled, like how a rocket won't cause as much damage the sooner it explodes.

Another fun thought for me is how the Viktor running scene of him past the ships is quite beautiful, but brings his fasicination with the boats full circle. It feels a constant tease to the ship of Theseus. If Viktor replaces all the parts of himself, is he still Viktor?

In the metaphysics of identity, the Ship of Theseus is a thought experiment that raises the question of whether an object that has had all of its components replaced remains fundamentally the same object. The concept is one of the oldest in Western philosophy, having been discussed by Heraclitus and Plato by c. 500–400 BC.

But to be really frank, I'm happy Necrit mentioned this too, but the rune relic Viktor was playing with represents the void. Hands down, I'm positive this was one of the major calamities Heimer spoke about. Yeah the world runes and stuff was devastating, but what's worse than that? A void invasion. And it's funny because when we saw Viktor change due to Shimmer, the thing changed as well, taking on a organic void-like appearance of flesh and machine. This could hint at an event that could be like Icathia and shurima

The in-game item "Prototype Hex Core" that only Viktor has is the same shade of purple as the hex core in the season finale. Also, Viktor's passive "Glorious Evolution" lets him get hex core fragments by killing enemy units, aka feeding the hex core with live matter as happened unintentionally with Sky. The level of detail by rito is trully amazing!

okay acknowledgement post for all the bad that my boy alek has done to change my own mind because im still thirsty for the darkling somehow (spoilers) (tw: mentions of r*pe)

1. He's a mass murderer: This is a fact, it has been acknowledged, just accept it already {re: the destruction of Novokribirsk via the expansion of the Shadow Fold at the end of Shadow and Bone (god, forgive me for being such a geek)}.

2. He created the Shadow Fold and wanted to expand and weaponize it: the creation might have been either an accident or a product of negligence but the fact that he wanted to expand and weaponize it knowing the kind of damage it caused is just, just pure evil.

3. He as good as offered an underaged girl under his protection and tutelage up to an old man as a sexual favour to further his political/idk what endeavours: He put Genya Safin through hell as his spy in the court. He knew not only that she was miserable but also that she was getting r*ped by the Ravkan king and that there was nobody to protect her from this. He not only let it happen, but he also influenced her to stay in this horrible situation by manipulating her into believing she was helping her country and her kind's salvation.

4. He killed tons of Grisha for no good reason: He set on his goal of protecting all Grisha and creating a safe space for them and then he went on to kill many of them or at least try to do so if they opposed him or defected from his side or betrayed him in any manner. The exception being, Genya Safin, who we will get into in the next point.

5. He created nichevo'ya using merzost and used them for destructive purposes to harm people: played with the balance at the making of the world by creating nichevo'ya in the first place, then mfer went ahead and set them loose on people. People, including the wonderful Genya Safin, someone who he had already manipulated and exploited to no end.

6. His behaviour towards BAGHRA: he blinded his own mother. He blinded his own mother. That's it. for letting the sun summoner alina escape and telling her the truth about his intentions. nothing wrong really.

7. His behaviour towards Alina: let's see. he uprooted her from her life and started her training with the other Grisha to further his purposes as provided under point no. 2. he manipulated her and toyed with her feelings for him to do the same. he made genya intercept alina's letters to her childhood bestie soon to be lover mal (basically her only connection with her old life as well as the only person who sort of genuinely showed that he cared for her so far hence toying with her mind further) and made sure they didnt reach mal, he then tried to mind-control her and completely rob her of her free will so far as her powers went by putting a collar on her. i believe there was some thing involved when she was in his captivity that would classify as torture as well.

8. He just manipulated and toyed with so many people for his personal gain - all the Grisha who looked upto him/had any positive emotion towards him including Alina, Genya, Zoya, Baghra, David, Ivan, Fedyor, Sergei, like the list goes on.

I understand and acknowledge that the circumstances under which he had to grow up and live his life and his mother's parenting due to what she went through added with like the burden of eternity and the loneliness and the isolation that he talks of didn't provide the best conditions for him to be a good person. But, I cannot let that excuse all of his behaviour anymore. I cannot forgive him for all that he has done. Please feel free to add onto this list because I think all Darkling stans need to take cognizance of what he has done before just being like ooh dark mysterious misunderstood hot guy who has made mistakes like NO it isn't just that and I need to get that inside my brain no matter how much I want to just thirst after him and Ben Barnes, my 00s fictional character dream boyfriend.

random headcanons i have for each om! character teehee

hi it's been a while since ive posted some hcs bc uni has been kicking my a$$! luckily i only have a few papers to tidy up and im done. here r some hcs for each obey me character that ive accumulated over the past few months wink wonk

most are random but some constants you'll find are what i think they smell like, languages they can speak (other than their native (demon/angel) and eng/jp), and music tastes !

lucifer

i have a strong feeling that he showers twice a day: in the morning after waking up and at night before going to bed

his cologne is probably the type that will last in an elevator for like a week after he uses it once. i dont think this mf ever smells like anything other than his cologne

has a secret folder on his phone of semi-nudes and other scandalous pics from when he felt sexy at the time omg

aside from demon language/eng/jp he can speak french and knows latin

listens to classical stuff yea but he also listens to diavolos mixtapes (re: diavolo's section)

not a fan of sweets but will eat sweet things when craving

really bland sense of humor...borderline cringey 😭✋🏻

mammon

has gone to google images and searched for "inspirational quotes tumblr" "gold aesthetic tumblr" & "relatable crush post tumblr" then reposts it onto his socials or just taps thru them and giggles bc he relates

his cologne doesnt last as long as lucifers and probably smells common. he has to reapply a lot but it's a people pleasing smell. it's cheaper hence the constant reapplying

he probably does have an expensive bottle but is the type to totally overspray...eek

he is canonically a car guy 🥲 and probably tells the one in his room good morning & good night + kisses the hood every once in a while. has tons of car magazines

he doesnt really speak other languages but has attempted to learn spanish before

listens to whatever is on the radio. doesnt rly stan anyone but he eventually will listen to mc's playlist and mc's playlist ONLY

levi

lurks on mc's socials ALL THE TIMEEEE like he will rewatch ur stories and scroll thru ur feed and overanalyze ur tweets/rts or blog posts. if ur mc isnt the type to use sns much he still googles ur name all the damn time just to find any sites u might be on fjdjdjdjskks

probably streams on whatever youtube or twitch devildom site equivalent there is, but only has like 40 or so followers. which he is okay with!

until he sees someone else who gets more attention than him. then the envy starts kicking in bad. especially if they suck 🧍🏻‍♀️

classic gamer boy smell. you know, sweat, tears, must, and (sometimes) axe deodorant. lucifer has to do a scent check before he goes out to any event & lets him use his cologne. how sweet!

kpop stan!! more girl groups than anything and his ults are probably GIRLS GENERATION, wonder girls, twice, loona, & red velvet

cried when ioi disbanded and refused to leave his room. the only thing u could hear was downpour on loop at full blast

can also speak korean & communicate in echolocation like dolphins 😏

listens to country music you cant change my mind

smells like whatever environment he is in. he doesnt really have a designated smell just throws some deodorant on and goes about his day.

he's sooooo bad at driving...gets road rage way too often so his license has been REVOKED

but hes totally a backseat driver. needs to be sedated on long trips

do not let him watch finding nemo when luke asks to watch it. it's not worth it. he will cause mass destruction.

if he was a human or lived long term in the human world he totally has the ability to be a doctor

is studying as many languages as possible, but he mostly knows latin & french & german etc etc. wants to learn all the dead languages out of curiousity

dont think this mf has ever held down a relationship. ever

he doesnt compromise much & is not willing to change his lifestyle to fit an s/o into it. you keep up with how he lives or it just isnt meant to be (but dont worry! he'll eventually learn...maybe,,,,)

has the hardest time out of everyone when it comes to breaking bad habits

his smell varies bc he uses a variety of perfumes (whatever is the most popular at the time) but he probably sticks to floral and fresh scents. he never uses generic people pleaser scents like mammon

listens to electropop, mainstream pop, & some alternative rock

as for languages he too knows french, spanish, italian, etc. in general, if it's a romance language he knows it!

opposite of lucifer in the sense where he loves sweets and will refrain from eating too many bitter things

i think we all know that asmo is the biggest rockstar of the group! he's probably been in a boy band at least once, but now he makes his own music

has tried to teach mammon how to sing once. ended up in a broken piano and bleeding ears...

beel

i feel like he is SO SHY

like unless ur close to him he will not start conversations or anything

i think he listens to r&b a lot ! and jazz 😎 maybe rock as well

smells like ur typical athlete with undertones of wet wipes. he carries them around bc he likes to clean his hands before he eats & is prepared for when theres no sink nearby

he can drive and he drives really well. no rough turns, parallel parks perfectly, and never has problems with merging

driving with beel is probably really soothing. left hand is steering the other is gripping ur thigh 😫

dont think hes really fluent in any other language but hes probably semi fluent in korean because levi wanted beel to help him out

definitely know how to order food in practically every language tho HAHAHA

smells kinda musty IM SORRY but not the way levi does hes more like the kind of musty u feel or smell when it's a shitty morning

but that's only because hes so lazy, when he cleans up hes like satan

has definitely murdered multiple people before. mc is not the first 😐✋🏻

with that being said belphie has been put into prison at least twice when visiting the human world, the mf had such a strong hatred for humans theres no way he never got into trouble before

lucifer probably broke him out and they used the pen thingies from men in black to erase everyones memory of that 🙄

dont think he listens to anything other than music that'll put him to sleep. really likes lazy song by bruno mars but thinks that bruno mars put too much effort into the song. should have been one acapella verse and then finish

similar to beel hes only semi fluent in one language, probably french bc of lucifer. doesnt remember much but knows a couple of lullabies and bedtime stories

the sandman used to be his bff until they drifted. they do, however, like and comment on each other's sns posts.

once he found out who nicki minaj was he became her #1 stan

def an ariana grande stan too 😌

choreographs dances when hes stressed...idk just seems like a diavolo thing to do

also makes rly bad soundcloud rap music sometimes. turns to poetry when hes feeling emo but only lucifer knows this. barbatos is suspicious of him but doesnt have enough evidence to confirm.

his dad is like hudson abadeer from adventure time aka marceline's dad? something must have influenced him to want to unite the 3 realms + he would need the approval to do so, so his dad must be more chill than all the others before him 🧍🏻‍♀️ IDK ok anyway

currently going through his hamilton phase bc of mc. whether mc's intent was to get him hooked onto it or just to explain it bc of something he saw online, he tells everyone that he found out abt it bc of mc!

this man cannot drive his skills are only second to jumin han

not too fond of many languages but knows the widely spoken ones like spanish, mandarin, etc. if it's taught in high school he knows it

smells like a las vegas casino. not sure why but i feel like he does. but there's also an interesting & nice smell to him if he embraces you. it's a smell you cant quite identify. but it smells nostalgic, it's mysterious, and it's tempting.

very calm demeanor but underneath hes WILD hes probably done everything at least once oof

he just has a lot of control and stability over himself (must be nice!)

on a more angsty note i feel like he might have had his heartbroken sO BAD IDK he is hurting and maybe that's why hes so willing to obey diavolo and not abuse his time lord power thingies bc he learned his lesson the hard way

mans is so smart he knows every language you could switch languages mid conversation with him and he wouldnt be thrown off. he'd probably start speaking it too.

BUT HE SPEAKS VIET P E R F E C T L Y

listens to the same stuff as lucifer but also likes eminem. likes the movie 8 mile but criticized it heavily

have you ever been to a chinese herb shop? naturally, he smells like that. his room probably smells like it too. he doesnt really have a significant smell like some of the others

when he bakes he smells like whatever hes baking tho

one of the few out of everyone listed to have been able to travel to literally everywhere

So if you've been diagnosed with Aspergers in the past, don't worry, that makes you 100% autistic! You're part of the autism spectrum, yey! Welcome to the family!

Aspergers as its own diagnosis is largely outdated now, the DSM-V and ICD-11 (the psychiatric manuals they use to diagnose us) just list ASD, Autism Spectrum Disorder. ICD-11 is not officially in use yet, hence some countries still officially diagnose with the term Aspergers, although technically it doesn't have a scientific basis anymore. Science is slow like that and it takes a while to implement the new changes. What this means for you, everyone who in the past was diagnosed under Aspergers would now automatically be considered autistic under the new criteria, including you! So no worries about that one, you still belong here! You can call yourself autistic just like the rest of us, because that's what you officially are.

I was also officially diagnosed with the old term, however my psychiatrist had to put that down for bureaucracy' sake, because my country uses the ICD and, yeah, the new version isn't out yet. In her practice, she uses the term autism, autistic and autism spectrum. That's also the term most of our community, myself included, are using, to refer to ourselves and other autistic people. Autistic!

Because that's at the end what we all are. We're autistic, that's the way our brains are wired. It's a huge spectrum with lots of different traits (not functioning levels, as you could hopefully understand from the video). But it's ultimately the same thing. It doesn't make sense to arbitrarily split up the spectrum, especially if that split is based on nonsense criteria like whether parents like one term or the other.

But as I understand, you already got that part, otherwise, feel free to ask away if there's still something confusing or something you don't understand! I'm glad to be of help!

As a last note, it's okay if you didn't know the things discussed in the video before and used the term Aspergers. Now you know and can make a choice! The point of growth is that one keeps learning and making better choices, no one knows everything and that's okay.

Imma have a little fun and throw the very young me into the mix to. Let's see child me vs adult me's opinions on the Volturiiii.

Fun fact: I wasn't team Volturi until I was like fifteen. Before that I was team edward... I don't want to talk about that 🤔😒

Also I'm a sucker for villains. If it isn't obvious already, I like the villains more than the heroes. (We all love a bad boy though, don't we?--- TIK TOK NOW IS NOT THE TIMEE.)

So everything i say is just my opinion and should be taken just as that.

Aro: Younger me was like "this...is a terrible person. There really is no need to expand on this." However adult me has been like "GUYS this guy is possibly the SCARIEST character. This man rips off heads AND SMILES ABOUT IT." He gives me child snatcher vibes (from the movies in particular). I thoroughly enjoy the power hungry persona. He's really fitting to be the puppeteer behind the Volturi. Even if he makes it seem it's a group effort with himself, Marcus and Caius. Realistically, Aro gets what he wants and isn't afraid to do what it takes to get it...sorry Didyme. What's even darker about it, WHICH I LOVE, is that he isn't heartless. Smeyer wrote that Aro genuinely loved his sister. It's all good to have a character that's a evil heartless monster but what's more terrifying to me is the ability for someone to do evil despite their love and emotions. It doesn't hold them back and that's what I find particularly frightening now that child me didn't comprehend. Micheal Sheen, from what I remember of his interview years ago, played on the idea that vampires of Aro's age kinda begin to lose their mind. Which, hell freaking yes. However there is one thing I hate for Aro's character that happened in the movies. Breaking dawn part 2. That fucking laugh. Don't get me wrong, hilarious. I can't not laugh but for his character I felt it was too 'hey hey I'm a crazy man hehe'. It was a but too much, even for an eccentric Aro. However, I'm not to mad at it because again, it was funny to watch. I thoroughly enjoy the ‘friendship’ Aro and Carlisle share and i love that it is ‘maintained’ throughout the books. I think it’s just a really nice detail. (I love lore. I am a sucker for it.) The one thing that didnt sit right with me is Aro marrying someone so that he wasnt the alone one whilst his co-leaders were very much in love? Was a little off for me but i suppose that just adds to the character.

Caius: child me would shrink into the seat because what did I do to this man? High key still think I wouldn't want to be Caius' child because imagine doing something wrong and you get that glare? No thank you! Scary angry man. As an adult... "He's an angry boi but...DAYUM WHY IS HE SUDDENLY SO HOT?" Just...don't get angry with me. You'll get annoying real quick and you're too pretty for that. I enjoy the taking-no-shit attitude he has but felt it could have been a little more prominent in BDP2 where Aro asks if Caius' is challenging him. I full believe Caius to an extend would be like "yes, yes I am. Don't be an idiot Aro. Use that braincell!" Which is why I adore the meme vibes I see every now and then of Caius hating Carlisle because why does Aro love that blonde so much? CAIUS HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT LOYAL-- Anyways, I can totally get why Aro wants him on his team. Caius is so angry and has so much hatred that he’s a good asset to the coven, even if not having a special ability.I do find it hard to imagine that Caius is a century older than Aro though. Although I cant picture him over forty years old lol. Although i do personally enjoy the whole Caius x Athenodora route. IT’S TRUE LOVE! Okay so maybe thats a little dramatic but its better than Aro’s lmao.

Marcus: movie Marcus is absolutely not nineteen years old and that's just a fact. If anything, he's the forty year old one lmao. Child me couldn't care about this man. He was the man who said nothing and slumped on a throne. That was Marcus. That was his character summed up. Then adult me rolled in and OMG NO DON'T DO THIS TO THIS SWEET MAN. LET HIM BE IN LOVE. As an adult i definitely became more attached. I feel like i was too young back then to get why Marcus was in the Volturi. He seemed very out of place and like a filler co-leader more than anything. However as i’ve gotten older (and written for him), I recognised that's the point. That’s Marcus’ evident grief. He isn’t there by choice and losing Didyme caused him to fall out of line with the coven. He’s lost point or purpose. Almost like its become meaningless because the love of his life was gone and he couldn't save her.So what was the aims of the Volturi to protect vampire kind when they couldn’t protect their own? He couldnt protect her. I had never heard of anything like bond identification and once i had- i was shook, like it became clear why he had been so necessary in the first place. That really is handy to understand everyones bonds in a coven, he could direct Chelsea and the two alone could destroy covens by bonds alone. Marcus makes the Volturi more realistic in a lot of ways. Like in a family, there is the happy times, goofy people like Felix, the twins representing a close bond. Afton and Chelsea, love that cant be divided. The list really goes on. Marcus represents love and heartbreak, pain, loss grief, the sad moments every family goes through. In that way he makes the coven seem less invincible, a group of people who at the end of the day, have their own weaknesses and immortality doesn’t mean a perfect existence. Especially when, in my opinion, Bella fantasized about immortality and how perfect it would be. Even after her change, she waited for her happy ending because that was somehow guaranteed in some level. Which in the end, she got but not everyone gets that happy ending we all want. I also personally think Marcus is the most feeling of the Volturi, despite being apathetic. A result of heartbreak. It’s shown he can still feel more in his own ways when he voted against Renesmee being destroyed. Furthermore, he advocated that vampire hybrids were a lot like vampires. He made that relation openly before anyone. Its almost as though losing Didyme helped him value a life?

Jane and Alec: Child me thought these two were badass...and that still remains in my adult life. It’s always been uncomfortable to me that someone so young is so sadistic and powerful. Jane is the older twin with the ability of pain illusion...yikes. Her ability was evident in her human life along with Alec’s. His gift is sensory deprivation and these two were my favourites in the whole Saga. Still kind of are if im honest. I thoroughly enjoy the twins backstory. It has the most detail. I have a tag for the twins. Canon!twins is the tag for the twins in their book age. Unless this tag is present, the twins have been aged up :). They are very much canon but I put a bit more emphasis on tantrums. If they get angry, they both have tantrums. So whilst (unless tagged) they aren't children they can be very childish and these tantrums are pretty deadly. They’re also very possessive? I dont even know if thats the right word i’m looking for in all honesty. Lets say they get very attached if they like you. These two are probably the most secluded out of the whole Volturi.

Felix: Felix! High ranking guard due to strength and speed. I am a major supporter of Felix being a gladiator when he was human. He as a lighter grey cloak meaning he isn’t as high ranked but is so good at what he does that he’s been kept for centuries...and a lot of them. Personality? FINALLY, WE’VE GOT ONE WITH PERSONALITY!! (Im writing these out of order and i’ve just finished a chunk of Volturi members who have personalities as invisible as Afton.) Flirtatious and Light hearted, we love flirtatious and light hearted! Basically a comedian! Helllll yes, keep it going! Extremely vicious and highly aggressive? You know what? I still like it. He wouldn’t be a Volturi without a dark side. Cold blooded murderer. Yes. 10/10. Finally, someone Smeyer seems to actually care about. He flirted with Bella a couple of times in the books and i was FOR IT ALL THE WAY. I was very sad i saw none of it in the movies but im used to heartbreak by now. Im in this fandom after all. We were robbed of a lot. Strongest vampire in the world? I believe you, he’s also a hecking treeeeee. HE DO BE A TALL BOI. He actually makes Demetri look small and that’s still hilarious to me. Demetri is actually tall. However, if it isnt obvious we clearly traded backstory for personality. I cant get both smh. So...as i said before I fully believe Felix was a gladiator back in the day, hence his physique and height and excellent fighting abilities he has even as a vampire but then it kind of ends. I will say from the dawn of time, i don’t think Felix is the most academic man, just because of his era. I also think majority of the Volturi couldn’t read of write in their human lives and had to learn much older, most learning as vampires. Felix was one of these vampires, Although even now he isnt the most great at it. Then a wonderful writer known as @wallwriterstuff included it and now it’s canon in my eyes. I fully believe Felix is a slow reader and writing isn’t his strong suit either. Wallwriter also includes the possibility that Felix could be dyslexic which im all for too. For a very long time i’ve considered writing a dyslexic reader with the Volturi but have always hesitated because i don’t have it and wouldn’t want to upset someone for any misunderstandings or inaccuracies. However what i will say is that i think vampires would be the most understanding to humans with dyslexia. Learning things like that in later development or as an adult is difficult and they wouldnt think any less of you for struggling with reading, writing, numeracy- you name it. You’ll probably find they’re with you in the struggle at least half of the time. He’s also the goofball of the Volturi, even though he’s not really a goofball in our eyes, he’s the closest to a goofball out of the whole Volturi ...Emmett beats him in the Goofball wars.

Demetri: Oh yeah, it's Demetri's turn! So Demetri was previously in Amun's coven. When Chelsea gave him the old razzle dazzle...I've said Chelsea's gift so many times at this point it's getting old. I have two characters left after Demetri 😂😂 Anyway, with that Demetri was like "welp, I'm in the Volturi now." And now that they had a better tracker the previous one was kicked out. He isn’t much of a talker, polite and formal. He’s elegant (more graceful than i could ever be) and charming...yeah he is, you can say that AGAIN. He is also very calm, when next to Felix, i think everyone is calm but you know, we’ll say he’s a very calm person. I like how he was originally in the Egyptian coven with Amun. Given Amun’s goals this a pretty nice detail. NOW LETS GO TO MY VERSION. He’s very charming, calm, polite, formal and even a lil’ but quiet, i kept him pretty canon because he actually had a description to go on :)))))))))) Moving on. Demetri can be a very successful flirt when he wants to be and does have a Casanova reputation. However beyond the charming Volturi guard who has a brutal side like the rest of them, he has a chewy centre, deep down. I added that he had a child in his human life, one he doesn’t remember and very few people know about. He remembers that they died of an illness very young (around six?) but can’t remember what they look like. For that reason he doesn’t like talking about his child, he feels awful he doesn’t remember them and the loss still hits a pang in his chest.

Heidi: Alright im ready for this one! Child me didn’t necessarily enjoy Heidi? I was rather passive about her. It was all ‘pretty vampire used for her looks’ in my eyes back then and i was never comfortable with that. I’ll get into my take on Heidi in a moment, roll on the backstory! So Heidi knew Victoria as they used to be coven mates and we’re going to continue on as though Heidi didn’t care when she was killed? Like...its genuinely a burning question in my mind! If she didn't care, could that show the extent of Chelsea’s power in action!? (can we tell im enthusiastic about this coven yet?) It’s quite smart to have someone lure in prey. I wont lie, Heidi has quite the badass role in the coven. I wouldn't have thought about that I reckon. I’ve always thought that showed a kind of superiority. Oh you guys need to hunt your prey? pfft, ours literally comes to us. Her backstory really starts with Heidi being mistreated in her human life...a common theme Smeyer has. It can get old- i wont lie but when i give it some thought it kind of makes sense. Rosalie said it herself in eclipse, if any one of them had their happy ending, they’d be six feet under but i’d love a little bit more creativity. I could go on about how male vampires ended up being changed in comparison to female vampires but i’ll swiftly move on because that’s a whole other thing alone. Heidi was changed out of pity. (Which kinda infuriates me just to type, a pity change? Really? Really Hilda? we’ll see why it annoys me when i explain my take on Heidi.) Heidi was happy in her coven with Hilda, Victoria etc, which is hell yes. We love that. This is around the time she discovered her gift. Vampires were attracted to her and humans fell prey to her easily. Yup okay. I’ll take that. After a newborn vampire caused ‘too much attention’ Aro spared Heidi and Chelsea used her gift on Heidi. Nice, very nice aaaaand that’s where it stops and im left hanging. Personality time with Smeyer! Lets goooo. From what i remember and can find- she didn’t fucking have one. Apparently being pretty is enough for everyone. Which in hindsight, fair enough on a human Bella’s perspective, its literally Heidi’s gift to lure you in no matter what. She could tell you she’s a serial killer (and technically is lmao) and is about to sell your kidneys on the black market as to which you’ll be like ‘sign me the fuck up, want my liver too? Here, let me lie on the table for you. I’m down.’ without even realising what just happened. But even beyond that...Heidi has no personality traits mentioned. In New Moon she appears to be a little flirty which im all for, why the hell not? But...thats it? Thats all I get? Then we get into fanfictions, because i read them growing up. Heidi was depicted as flirtatious, promiscuous and then it varied between manipulative or she wasnt very smart. Which i’m knocking absolutely no one for. I think you can get a badass character who is incredibly dumb. I think all characters are actually valid whether they’re a genius or flat out dumb. I love them all. However it never really sat with me. I was never quite satisfied which i was fine with until i started writing for myself. That’s when i knew i’d have to really think about what my version of Heidi would be or i’d never be happy with my work. That and you also begin to fill in the blanks? The more you write the more you flesh out a character for yourself and so that rolls into my version of Heidi! So for my Heidi, she often gets the same trope of ‘she’s pretty and rich, those types of girls have easy lives who always had everything given to them.’ Then when it’s discovered she didn’t have a good human life. It turns to the next assumption of ‘oh she’s pretty and stupid enough to be used and manipulated’. In a lot of ways, that’s what Heidi wants everyone to think. Underestimate her, please, its all the easier to manipulate you if you do. She’s actually very smart and her rough human life made her more tough and intelligent. She’s very manipulative and yes she’s very flirty. You can look but you cant touch! She enjoys the attention her beauty gets her but if only these people would care more about what she’s like as a person. She’s not a barbie doll she will play you if she needs to. The only one who’s actually gotten far enough to sleep with Heidi is Demetri and even then the two don’t see each other romantically. They’re good friends who thinks the other is very attractive but that's where it ends. They’re basically friends with benefits some times lmao. However, Demetri got that far because he see’s the intellect Heidi actually has and acknowledges it. He thinks shes a queen who should be treated as such. She could take anything she wanted, a storm that people can only hope to survive in one piece. Secretly she enjoys a family setting. Whilst she never really wanted children (especially when she was expected to when human), she couldn't help but melt inside seeing little human children with their loving parents. She wants that for all children. Whether that's because she lacked such affection growing up, no one knows. She’s also a really good friend, you bet she’ll have your back. Crappy ex? Well we’ll show them, wont we (Y/N)? She’ll be a bitch and enjoy every second of it. She also loves the single life, believe it or not, you’ll have more difficulty getting Heidi to settle down than you would Demetri which speaks volumes. So yeah, move past her gift and really get to know her and you might have a very good friend. I also don’t see Heidi having a preference between male or females and that’s in all honesty. Times have changed and if she is attracted to another female then she wont be ashamed of it. She never has been (Demetri was the first to figure that out, Felix may be the last.) Even when the times weren’t approving of different sexualities, she didn't care. She will flirt with you and find it ridiculously cute if you get flustered.

Sulpicia: Sulpicia was an orphan which i used to develop my own version of her. Sulpicia grew to love Aro which im on the fence about but yup, i’ll take it. You’ll see what happens with my version in a bit lmao. and that’s where it stops. I get no personality again but do you know what we do in this fandom? We create one and fill in the blanks baby! So i write Sulpicia very materialistic and vain, she’s most snobbish of the wives and due to the other two, also considered the meaner one. She didnt have such things as a child being an orphan so when she got the opportunity to have it-she jumped. She isnt easily impressed and married Aro not for love but for immortality, money and status. (He’s only married you for your money, princess Jasmine! HE ONLY MARRIED YOU FOR YOUR MONEY! Damn it tik tok, but make it princess Aro) Which works well, because Aro doesnt necessarily love her either, he just wanted a mate so he wasnt the odd one out.He literally created her because he was like “Yup, you’ll do.” The two recognised they made a great team and image so they kinda grew to love each other? A little bit? Sure we’ll say its love...sorta. ANYWAY, It’s a highlight to Sulpicia being locked in that tower where she doesnt need to see Aro every little moment, it’s better than having a husband who she’d need to see everyday. ...Yeah my Sulpicia is something else lmao.

Athenodora: Athenodora is one of the oldest vampires in existence which kinda has me shook but I'll take it. She met Caius when he was fleeing from the Romanians, the two travelled together until they met Aro. Whilst on their nomadic travels they seemingly became mates. That's all we know about that. As to which the Volturi coven was made. Athenodora is completely loyal to Caius as well as highly dependent on him and I think that's very realistic given her circumstances. That's where their story ends...maybe for Smeyer but not for me! 😁 So I picture Caius and Athenodora being different sides of the same coin. Athenodora really mellows Caius, she is no where near is violent and sadistic as he is but due to her unwavering loyalty and dependency, she doesn't feel inclination to go against him...also because of Chelsea and Corin but I've said that so many times in this post I think we get the point. I think she's actually more gentle and soft spoken but that being said. She is very reserved and if she were to be angered she'd very much change. She could cut you down with words alone. Caius loves it. However beyond this is someone who is very maternal. Caius would appreciate it more if the two had children but instead it has created empathy. Caius doesn't want that when he can rip their head off. She struggles a little more with the 'no second chances' and that's another reason why Caius keeps her locked away and away from it. These two love each other more than words can describe. After being through so much with someone, the love can only grow. The two would happily risk their life for the other. Caius is saddened that he could never give her the family she wanted. He knows that to this day, Athenodora tries to reign in that side of her. He's a very supportive husband who's very different around his wife. He's much more tolerant, and angry. Simply more at ease. If anything happened to Athenodora, to put it simply...there would be hell to pay.

Didyme: Married to Marcus and Aro’s biological sister. Cute, me likely, keepy going. Her gift was happiness induction. VERY ADORABLE- Dont be as menacing as your brother...please. She was born several years after Aro and was changed by Aro ten and a half years after he was turned. (Dont tease me with all this lore Smeyer, I know what you’re gonna do) Aro was deeply disappointed her gift was just to make people happy- its okay Didyme, we love you. Aro is just...Aro. Her gift made many fall in love with her and its so freaking cute i CANT- but she only felt the same feelings for Marcus. MY HEART IS SO WARMMMM. Unfortunately they were so happy together that they lost interest in anything Volturi and were ready to leave. (Uh oh.) Aro, being the sneaky fellow he is, was like “I’m really happy for y’all of course you can leave. I love you my babies. My best friend and my sisterrrrrrr, I am the captain of this SHIP.” but was actually like “wait, no, no, no, not my Marcus. D-D-Did-Didyme I NEED him.” Think Sid the Sloth from ice age in the first movie when Sid really wants the baby. So this man is like...gonna have to do it to em and murder. He killed Didyme secretly (dunno how he pulled the secret part off- like i know how he did it but how did no one hear or see anything or even suspect anything IT WAS LITERAL FRIENDLY FIRE but we love the drama so continue.) Ironically enough she was very close with Aro and the two actually did love each other, Aro is just...murderous apparently, to the extent that even his sister isnt safe. And that’s it. That’s Didyme. Which im like...alright Smeyer i see you. I like this and expanded on this with my Didyme. i get the vibes that Didyme is the most innocent and kind of all the Volturi. Losing her meant losing the consciousness within the Volturi making them all the more ruthless because there was no one to say. “Guys, maybe lets rethink this? and quickly because i cant get Caius to put down the torch thats currently on fire.” Losing Didyme made Marcus mostly become passive and would rarely stop anything that happened. I often wonder if that provoked a lot of guilt for Marcus later on. (However thats a spoiler for something im currently writing...;) ) I also think of her as a major daydreamer and the most soft, gentle person anyone will ever meet. Like its difficult not to like her despite being in the Volturi, even the Romanians would have struggled if they met her. So in the long run...i hate nothing about Didyme, only find more and more love lmao.

Corin: So im going to be honest and tell you i have no idea what Corin would look like. I’ve got nothing and when i was younger i wasnt even sure if Corin was male or female. Like a lot of these names, i had never heard of the name ‘Corin’. I dont write for her as of yet because im still trying to figure her out. I think she’s quite quiet, she lets her gift do most of the work for her in keeping the wives, Chelsea and Caius when he doesnt get to go on a rampage, content. She was brought in also after Didyme died but Marcus refused her gift.That’s all i’ve got for her. Her gift is amazing, pretty underrated in my personal opinion since like Chelsea, she really helps keep the Volturi unified but other than that, I dont have much to say about her. :(

Afton: Another character i basically filled the blanks in for myself. So what we’re told is that he’s Chelsea’s mate and has the ability to disappear . Whilst thats a pretty cool trick...the volturi dont necessarily need it but they have to keep Chelsea happy and she demands that Afton stays so welcome to the family Afton! I also recently learned that if you hide behind Afton and he goes invisible infront of an opponent, you too will also be invisible. I figure that is until the opponent moves and basically changes their perspective but i could be wrong with that last part. That’s all we get so time for my unnecessary input! SO AFTON IS A TOTAL SWEETHEART. He’s very shy but polite. This is a complete opposite to his mate Chelsea. It’s actually what she liked about him. At first is was just be flirtatious to the shy vampire but when she actually got to know him... she fell hard. It was also Chelsea who had made the first move since Afton was so shy. Of course she’d never say so and Afton would never want to embarrass her so that was never really disclosed to anyone who wasn’t around at that time. She brings Afton out of his shell a lot and it wasn’t long before the two were mates. Chelsea is the light of his life. Hands down. He puts up with a lot for her and is happy to do so. She could ask anything of him and he’d do it and she doesn’t even need to use her gift. He buys are anything she wants almost instantly. He cant help but adore her passionate personality, like how hooked she can get on era’s such as the 1920′s, her love for jazz music and her ability to gush on and on about anything. The two had what the other lacked and that made them an excellent team. I love their relationship. I cant help it. However, as i said before Afton is very shy and tends to keep to himself. Sadly that, paired with Chelsea’s demand to keep him in the Volturi has left Afton a little bit outcasted. All the other permanent guards were wanted and considered important whilst Afton...not so much. Although that isn’t to say the other guards are mean to him or anything. They aren’t! (Except the twins who are...the twins.) Felix and Demetri tried to include him a lot but it was very difficult to break him out of his shell. That doesn’t mean to say they wont invite Afton when he’s around. Chelsea always appreciates their efforts. Afton is notably good friends with Santiago, who often preferred solitude as well.

Chelsea: So supposedly Chelsea’s original name is Charmion? When i was younger i didnt really care much about her. I only really knew her gift and that she was the reason Afton was kept in the Volturi, since they were mates. From what im aware Chelsea basically wasnt in the movies/not identified. There wasnt much said about her in the books either. So since then i’ve kind of developed my own persona of Chelsea that could be completely inaccurate to canon but canon was my foundations with characters like these. She was always a red head in my eyes with ringlets, a copper kind of red head. I also pictured her to be small. However the newest addition to her character would have to be the mid-Atlantic accent. I blame Poppy Hill for this one. That character screamed Chelsea to me. She was very close to how i imagine Chelsea to be. So now Chelsea has an accent that i have no clue how she managed to maintain being in Italy so long and being born in Greece. LMAO. We’ll say she was very attached to that time. However, I think the time she joined the Volturi was actually very good for the story. She first came around just after Marcus had lost Didyme and Aro had her use her ability to keep Marcus in the coven. it’s really cool how she could really make or break the coven. Although, Aro was smart enough to not fully rely on her, using Corin’s ability on Chelsea to make sure she’d be happy and stay within the Volturi. Thats where the information on Chelsea really ends Over the years Chelsea has appeared in my writing and so beyond this point, Chelsea’s character is only my depiction. I figure Chelsea is a talker, like she can talk her way in and out of situations with ease. She enjoys being manipulated and even more so, being needed.Much like her gift, she gets under people’s skin- not in terms that she’s annoying but more so she can figure out people very well. Her mate is the complete opposite and so she often speaks on the behalf of them. Chelsea is very social and charismatic. She along with Heidi are the only two Volturi members who will be out and interacting with humans if necessary. Heidi for her ability but Chelsea purely for her social skills. She’s also the most interested in human culture. She loves the parties- the 1920′s being her favourite era in terms of fashion. She has no issue changing her name and has done so multiple times when the names run out of fashion.It’s like playing dress up! I’d actually love to write more about her. I’ve really grown to love her character, even if i filled in some blanks for myself. I think she and Afton’s relationship is one of the best, up there with Carlisle and Esme- despite the two being very different. It’s a part of their dynamic!

(I always imagined Chelsea to be a red head but Poppy Hill from THOHH is a very close depiction to Chelsea in my eyes)

Renata: A stressed little bean that lives on stress. I remember thinking when i was younger she was the big threat since she was Aro’s shield but now that im older i see...a stressed little five foot bean. I have no idea what she looks like but always imagine her dark hair tied in a tight bun, looking almost painful. Another who wears heels, like Heidi but she is very rigid just as she has been described. Her uncle is a bit of an ass considering he begged her to go with the Volturi so there wouldn’t be a threat. Dude, can you not just...hand over your niece? At least hesitate! Just like that, thanks to Chelsea, she’d give her life to protect Aro and...I have nothing else. Yes it does drive me mad that there are two named guards i know next to nothing about.

Santiago:So what’s known about Santiago is that he doesn’t actually have an ability. He’s just very good at battle techniques and fighting which is why he’s kept around. If they need fighters, they’re top three are Felix, Demetri and Santiago...in that order. Santiago is also much faster than a regular vampire (as shown in breaking dawn part 2- he caught up to Jacob and Renesmee quite fast despite the two having a running start and wolves supposedly being very fast- much like a vampire) That’s all we know of him so then i got in there and this is how I write Santiago. I gave him the background of coming from a superstitious family. Like he would be told tales of demons and witches growing up as well as things like voodoo. He knew an awful lot of urban legends and whilst he stopped believing in the bad luck his family taught him, he still held interest and couldn’t help the instinct of unease when witnessing such things as rituals. It’s ironic really. However Santiago always deems that humans have it all wrong. These forces are beyond human understanding and shouldn’t be played with. In that way, perhaps Santiago still has some belief in things such as superstition. He’s very secretive about it and would never clarify it for you. Santiago keeps to himself and can be quite standoffish. He can also be blunt even if it’s insulting- he doesn’t tend to care. Although he and Afton became quite good friends since the Afton was an outcast and Santiago didn’t enjoy large groups, or most people in general.

ok so im gonna be talking about some aspects of the decompiled unity data i was able to get out of S4M using AssetStudioGUI! since unity games arent really meant to BE decompiled theres always a possibility that things arent preserved like they should have (at least, i assume) so bear with me here. long post below of my rambles

theres a few things that are interesting to look at but unfortunately, most of it isnt anything groundbreaking imo. its more funny things like

as the title of the item implies, its just the sun overlay for the sky, but there are a few interesting names like this! one in particular is a texture called “baby teeth”

you may recognize this texture from in game! specifically, this texture is slapped down in habit’s “secret stash”:

so ... not sure what “baby teeth” should imply here, but theres that

one of the more interesting things here for me at least is the scripts presumably associated with interacting with objects. here are a few of them!

there’s a lot of them. in fact, if i’m right on my assumption, there should be one for every interactable object, hence the prefix “interact”! additionally, there is an interact script for every character; we can pick out a few like “Pickleman” at the bottom, which we can assume is referring to Randy, the mad lad himself. Other ones to pick out from this picture are “Gardener”, likely for Trencil, and “Bouncer”, likely for Gillis. three interact scripts to note of are:

obviously, the Ronbo script is for Ronbo. the reason its notable is that i believe ronbo is the ONLY person to have a name at this point other than habit, if i didnt skip anyone. though, lulia’s interact script is called MissFame, so she could definitely have had her last name by now. then again this is all assuming that these arent just funney names(tm) made after making the characters themselves because, hey, coders gotta keep themselves entertained too!

the next one is toothboy, which, well. ill be honest. this is just here because i think that kamal is really neat. so. JDBGSJKDFGSD but it IS interesting to note that his interact script isnt something like Assistant or something??? which may indicate that his favor was decided before his role... so thats interesting

whats the most interesting to me is the script for an object called Wizard. at first i thought this might be for the fortune teller in the carnival, but i found something else instead:

note the container (i.e. the internal “directory”) of the sprites for trevor’s pictures make a call to a “folder” labeled “trevor garbo (magician)”. comparing this to, for example, jimothan’s sprites (shown below):

we can see that his associated title is “bartender”. so... trevor is some kind of wizard/magician? /j but for real, i wonder why hes referred to like that??

something else to note is that not all of these names persist for all objects! Jimothan’s lines are labeled “BartenderNoise”, which lines up with his interact script, but Questionettes’s lines are labeled “QuestionetteNoise” rather than “ForeignerNoise”, which is her respective title in the files. another example is that while trevor and jimothan have titles in their “folder” names, people like trencil do not (so the folder is just his name)! we can probably deduce that certain characters were named before others due to this, which is interesting to consider, but doesn’t exactly mean anything in the end i guess.

theres more stuff thats interesting to me in the files but ill just leave this here for yall to have fun with. i just wanted to share some of the stuff i found! :3

okay i promised id do it and im doing it: Explaining The Plot Of That AU I’m Vague About: The Post

(as i was preparing to write this i actually got my 250th follower, which slapped)

so i’m just gonna start with the simple version, which is this: it’s a rebel AU which primarily centers around the tallest, who are both defective. they give up on trying to make any meaningful changes as figureheads, and instead direct their attention to being involved with the “neo defect revolution,” or NDR. they do manage to make one change as tallest- there is a garbage dump planet turned into a sanctuary for defectives (who in this au are executed once discovered,) and eventually enough of the populace finds out about it that the tallest have to deal with it. they finesse their way into kicking it out of the empire, so now it’s its own planet with its own rules, governments, and most importantly, immigration policies and protections

a lot of stuff happens and it’s gonna be structured using arcs, and each arc has a separate protagonist/deuteragonist/tritagonist lineup (but that doesnt mean the same lineup won’t be used multiple times!) and yes the insane list of OCs are for this au alone: some arcs are very OC-centric, some have OCs as supporting characters, and a couple are all-OC or mostly-OC.

its going to be very longform and it’ll span from the tallest’s elite training days to twenty years after zim arrives on earth. (the 20 year gap btwn zim arriving on earth and the story proper isnt as tightly plotted as later tho.) the point is to see how a revolution on the scale of the NDR works, who was fucked over by defact laws, who was fucked over by other laws, etc. theres a lot of lore and a lot of headcanons i made for this AU and even a conlang. i am a being of hubris. itll be a series of fics, some multichapter and some oneshots.

the series as a whole is gonna be called Invader Zim: Annexed or just Annexed for short. its a pun on an irken word that sounds similar but means the exact opposite. i am not explaining more bc itll be explained in the fic itself. but thats why the tag for it is #anx lmao

i didnt mean for this to be as long as it got but under the cut im gonna breakdown some of the early arcs:

so it all starts with a fanfic called Love Is The H-Word (no the “h-word” isn’t “hell.) it centers around red and purple as elites-in-training, who do a little whoopsie and have an egg. purple doesnt wanna smuggle it into a smeetery, bc then he’ll never see it again, so they go to the defect sanctuary (still a part of the empire at this point.) purple knows he’s defective while red has a hard time accepting that he is as well, due to events from his past. but being around all these other defects are starting to wear down his denial, and the fic is all about that. it also sets up some plot stuff, like how defects adopted a self-identifier in the word “heretic,” hence the sanctuary being named, “heretirk.” (hey look my url!) (no, the “h-word” is not heretic, either.)

i dont wanna say what happens in that fic bc spoilers, but stuff Happens. its also when we meet some ocs that end up being important, and the existence of others are foreshadowed. this is also where we meet the tallests’ future advisor, rarl kove, for the first time, as a local who decides to keep them company. purple bonds with kove due to their shared interest in politics, while red reluctantly bonds with titch, a young irken (a smeet in heretirken standards, an adult in imperial standards- did i mention he and red are roughly the same age? lol) who is interested in military stuff and thrill-seeking and general destruction. titch is pissed because he claims his father is stealthing on devastis as a military commander, but won’t let titch sneak in as a soldier, as titch is deaf.

(fun facts: in the au, “titch” is regional slang for “a little bit.” ironically, titch the character is above-average in height.)

due to titch’s deafness, he developed “gesturespeak,” irken sign language, so he can communicate. this existing becomes important later

a oneshot called invade the system is right after h-word in publishing order. it details zim’s exploits in leaving foodcourtia, where he was assigned and infiltrating the invading academy he eventually graduates from (in this au, zim is too short to be an invader, which sucks because the hight minimums for the military are really short to begin with lmao)

the fic chronoligically after H-Word focuses on red and purple being back in their platoon on devastis, specifically red navigating his training and his relationships with two defective platoonmates, pon and zi (who are in h-word a little,) after the realization that he too is defective. it also focuses on how the irken military works, and how they train their soldiers.

the first arc overall focuses on red and purple going thru training and such, and ends after they graduate and are on the field, working to get commander rank. (they planned to gain commander rank then leave and go back to heretirk to train an army there, as heretirk has.... no army.) in the middle of this, they’re pulled out and told they are to become the next tallest. they debate over staying and taking the job or just running to heretirk, and they ultimately decide to stay.

the next arc i call the “bridge,” tbh. its less tightly plotted than the other arcs; fics are spread apart from each other chronologically and all that. it spans the time after the tallest being appointed to a little after zim arrives on earth. it also has a couple of anthologies focusing on imperial defects- each chapter is a new character. these guys are all important and the easiest way for me to introduce their backstories without cluttering everything up is anthology style, lmao. other things that happen are a look into how the tallest work, eventually culminating with the resolution of the tallest having to Deal With Heretirk, tenn’s rescue from meekrob, and zim on earth obtaining a half-irken smeet named pip due to stealing an Unethical Science Experiment from dib (which is pip.) the bridge is basically just. “heres some stuff that happens between point A and point B so when we get to point B you’re not confused as all hell.”

the next arc focuses on zim. in the first fic, pip is sick and zim is trying to get into his neighbor’s pants, to cope. this basically sets up that zim in this au has no idea how to find personal fulfillment in living- he’s only OK if he focuses on pleasing someone else, be it taking care of pip or doting on the neighbor, some rando human named piqu (pronounced, “peek.”) this is mainly a cute romance story with the underlying veneer of “a child is slowly and painfully dying” in the background. fun!

without spoiling the circumstances, zim and pip end up on heretirk, which at this point is its own independent planet. pip is in the hospital for most of it so zim has to do his own thing. computer fans rejoice bc hes basically zims dad at this point, who tells him to go outside and get some fresh air and talk to the locals instead of schmooping or screaming in anxiety. im sneakily introducing more characters like ini, the “next-gen zim;” a short bio-engineer (she works on PAKs) who was constantly passed over by everyone because they dont trust someone that short or they dont trust someone that spazzy, even though shes actually brilliant. also her brother mo, who’s a pilot that NOBODY will teach military-class ships to (at this point, HTK has a population of ex-military that had their old ships, but still no formal army) because he doesnt talk and they think hes “slow” as a result. for the curious, he is physically able to talk most times, he just doesnt like it. zim ends up teaching him how to fly military-class which ends up being important laterrr

(haha ini and mo. wheres meenie and minie? ILL GET TO THEM)

no really, theyre quadruplets. named ini, myni, minie, and mo. these are real characters.

minie isnt introduced till later. shes too cool to be the side character in someone elses arc. she is feel uncomfortable when we are not about her.

myni is busy palling around with pip and pip’s friend “elly” (real name elevenn, with two N’s.) elly is a half-meekrob War Crime Baby and tenn’s smeet. he has vision problems (he can “see” energy signatures of things, as opposed to conventional sight. everything is monochrome and he has to really focus to see like, words on a paper. also fuck tablets) but the trade-up is telekinetic powers (that he cant use too much or his brain will melt. fun!) this isnt relevant until the arc AFTER zim’s, where they end up poking around a historical site due to myni’s interest in that kind of thing, and they find logs of an old revolution (that was actually pretty successful in their goal, before they were caught and executed,) that lead them to a man named lefy. he helps with revolutions and helped these guys, and the trio go to seek him out; myni because he wants to impress his parents with helping them, pip because after they’ve recovered enough to walk around and do stuff, feel like they need to justify the choice to save their life and make their dad proud and all that, elly because he doesnt want pip to get hurt and die. And thats where the stuff REALLY starts happening and i cant tell u more sorry

this seemed kind of disjointed but thats bc i cant really be too detailed otherwise id like.... spoil it lmfao. but thats the summary of the first few arcs.

hi its the uswnt-nwsl anon here! its going to be a long ride so buckle up, gays! at the end of 2012, the USWNT's CBA (collective bargaining agreement) expired and around the same time, Gulati (then USSF president) had come to the team to discuss the inception of the NWSL. Gulati was the one who came with the new model of the league; USSF pays club salaries of the USWNT players. this was done to ease the burden on clubs, reduce folding and ensure that the players got decent club compensation. (1)

the players were excited but cautious, given the fact the WPS folded just a year earlier. during this process, the USWNT got Gulati to push and search for proper owners who could answer their concerns; aka how timbers came into the mix. while negotiating their CBA, the team also wanted to make sure the NWSL would work. initially, Gulati said that it wasnt a requirement to play in the NWSL, but the players sought to ensure the sustainability of the league. hence, they agreed to allocation; aka USSF would pay their club salaries if they played in the NWSL. thus, the NWSL became a part of their CBA - the players wanted the league to succeed and USSF needed players to commit to the league. i'll spare the numbers but it came down to either the players get more money/tier or they play in the league and get extra NWSL salary. in the end, it became a contractual obligation that the players had to play in the NWSL (at least 2 of 4 years of their contract).

fast forward to 2017, while negotiating for the next CBA (after the 2013 one expired), the players were concerned about how their negotiations could affect the NWSL. being USSF-backed, if things went awry, the league could fold and put alot of non-USWNT players out of their jobs. furthermore, the players (in a power move tbh) decided to take back their licensing rights. this stunned the USSF and so in part, the USSF decided to agree to higher wages but drop the number of the core players for the USWNT from 24 to 20, and by 2021, to 16 (players who made the roster would still benefit from the significantly higher bonuses, they just wont have the same guarantee that the core does).

when the CBA was agreed upon, the USWNT had gotten the USSF to improve conditions/policies of the clubs and facilities in the NWSL and kept their allocation clause in tact. thus, USWNT players are contractually obligated to play in the NWSL. they did it to birth the NWSL and make sure it's not left for dead. Vlatko may have rescinded Ellis' "NWSL player policy" (it's been speculated but never really confirmed if Ellis really didnt bother to look outside of the US) but it remains to be seen if a non-NWSL player can be a regular player in the USWNT since their current CBA mandates that they need to be allocated in the NWSL.

i think it should be made clear that it isnt a MUST to play in the NWSL, (the allocation mainly refers to the rights and salaries, hence why Press could leave for Sweden when she refused to go to the Dash), but it does put their USWNT contract at risk. with the lawsuit going on and their CBA is expiring soon (i think end 2020 or 2021), this could be changed but i guess time will tell. this is just the tip of the iceberg though, it's way more complicated. in context of the current discussion, going to europe to play for tokyo is entirely possible and honestly smarter imo. but whether USSF will force the core squad to do a camp instead, oh well, we'll see.

all of this comes from the USWNT book by Caitlin Murray! it's a great read and i highly recommend it for woso fans. i did, however, buy it before she updated it after the 2019 WWC, so i missed out on the new cover and new information. (im intending to get the updated version soon though). you'll really get to understand the journey of the USWNT and the whole book is just full of power moves by the team (the pioneer generation threatened to walk out of a competition, i was laughing on the train when i read that). well firstly thank you so much for taking the time to put this all together, it’s really appreciated since it’s a pretty complicated topic and you’ve managed to summarise it very well! It seems like Caitlin Murray’s The National Team book is some reading that I should definitely get down to as this all sounds fascinating to explore in even more depth. What I’ll say for now though is that it’s clearly a very complicated situation. Measures were never put in place without there being clear reasoning behind them, and especially at the beginning they were there to keep the nwsl from suffering the same fate previous the leagues had faced.

However, years on I’m not as certain that they are as necessary to remain. You know those scaffolding poles that are put in place to keep the building stable and secure whilst it’s being properly built? Well this is what I consider some of these measures to be, initially necessary ones that now may do more harm than good.

One of these measures being the uswnt players not going abroad, and especially what you said about it affecting their negotiations around equal pay. It’s an important distinction to be made between being bound to being allocated to a nwsl club and actually playing for them. So obviously there is this known loophole which has already been used by players such as Press. Vlatko has now said that he will probably be extending his scouting to beyond the nwsl but that doesn’t mean they’re not bound to ussf’s demands with putting their lawsuit at risk and/or being asked to go to a camp instead.

All in all, something I’m still working at getting my head around but this made things so much clearer so thank you, definitely recommended reading for anyone who wants to know more about this whole situation!

strauss-howe generational theory!!!!!! This is my favourite sociological theory, and actually one of my ongoing hyperfixations which means this is gonna be a hella long answer.

it asserts that there are four main generations each lasting about 20 years (but can be around 22 if the global sociopolitical/economic field permits) as a part of a larger scale of one average human life span of 80ish years. Each generation has its own archetype and its based off the sociopolitical/ economic climate that is occurring, which tends to be the same roughly every 80-90 years, or 4 generations, or roughly one generational cycle. its how we know millennials are defined as those who were born between 1980 and 1999, how gen x is 1960-1979, and boomers are the baby boom that occurred after-ish WWII from 1940-1959, hence why theyre called boomers. Gen X has no defining name for some reason, because technically every generation has a lettered association, millennials are gen Y, “zoomers” are actually called Generation Z etc.

The four archetypes are the Hero (civic); The Artist (adaptive); The Prophet (idealist); and The Nomad (reactive).

The theory itself states that every 80ish years, or “full saecula” there is a crisis, followed by a recovery, where communal values amongst generations are strong enough that the sentiments shared amongst the succeeding generational archetypes boils over into a fight for individualism, attacking state systems, and eventually topples the institutions, which ultimately creates another really awful political climate that, you guessed it, ends in a crisis!

(a fun way to look at it is boomers are responsible for the political climate that lead to the 2008 financial crises, which is technically the Actual crisis that defines the zoomers generation).

Now, while crises and global historical political events are inherently important to the definition of these archetypes, the other big thing thats been super important since the industrial revolution is the evolution of technology!!!!! Boomers had sliced bread and the polio vaccine (same year go figure) and the microwave, Gen X actually had a pretty big uptick in musical technology (rock n roll, anyone?) (also the punk and hip hop fanbase, MTV, the invention of portable music players like tape decks, the eventual grunge scene, etc). Millennials are the ones who actually have claim to the internet since it took on the first internety form in 1990, which allowed millennials to grow up with the technology, and since we know children are more adaptable to new technology than adults because they can include it in their developmental processes, we can just pretty much give the internet to mid millennials.

But this is where it gets interesting, and a bit muddled, and where my own research and extended research beyond strauss and howe comes in.

There are a few important things to consider:

Between each generation, since time and development and the global climate is not split evenly since thats not how the world works, there’s usually some overlap in those born within the 5 ish year gap between generations.

Another thing that defines generations is their upbringing, and until about the late Gen x/ early millennial generations with a few exceptions (my parents included because they were older than average when my sister and i were born) have defined the new generations every 20 yrs bc well, that’s typically when it was the social norm to have kids in the cishet nuclear family “norm”.

Another thing is that children tend to be the opposite archetype from their parents (think of how the artist archetype comes immediately after the hero archetype) but thats more of a fun fact that just gets sprinkled into every discussion

So, if we know that there’s always some generational overlap, and technology and political crises play equally important roles in defining a generation, and we know that tech blew tf up around 2008 All Of A Sudden (faster than it ever really had, seriously the exponential growth of tech after apple and amazon cornered the market is nuts) and we know millennials have claim to the early internet, and Zoomers have claim to smart technology after the tech boom, and are defined as usually being born post-9/11 and their defining crises is the 2008 financial crisis, then where does that leave the overlapping kids in the middle, born too late to really have claim to the early internet (1997/8) but born before/during/Just After 9/11 making That their defining crisis (because even if u were only 4, u had enough time to develop and be raised by ur parents both in a pre And post 9/11 world) That my friends is what people often refer to as “the lost generation” “Xennials” “dark millennials” etc. There’s examples of it all over the internet. “if you were born between 1995 and 2000 youre the maroon 5 generation” (personal fave) “music/ technology/ stores/ toys etc only dark millennials will remember” (and itll be a photo or list of something so very 2004-2010 that only someone born during that time would have ever experienced, since tech didnt last that long in this time period re the smart tech boom) (music and music tech is also actually super important to generations, because it defines whole cultures, and you can just Tell when music is from, and all those dumb born in the wrong generation things often focus heavily on music and music-influenced scenes)

All this is to say that if you were born ill say at the earliest 1995 and latest beginning of 2002 and you feel like you dont have a claim to a generation, if u relate to those “dark millennials” posts, if you remember going from overhead projectors to smartboards instead of one or the other, if your first social media was late myspace or facebook instead of AOL or snapchat, if you spent your childhood playing outside but then vividly remember when everyone became smartphone obsessed and when that became The Thing to do (idk about u but like it was Cool in middle school to bring ur iphone 3G or 4 to class or parties and let people use it) then its because there really is a weird middle “lost” generation that doesn’t belong to either side, where the generational overlap is more significant than any before due to the swift development of tech during this period, and where the people inside of it often have traits and interests from both sides, but also their own defining pieces of middle-ness (like marianas trench, or taio cruz, or all those weird ytv/nick/disney shows that only ever lasted 2 seasons like danny phantom).

by this point you have had an amazing almost 2 years. fell head over heels with a man who makes you feel like your more than just a top notch ace reporter.

you confessed your feelings for said man at a wedding you were supposed to be covering not making a huge fool of yourself. your best friend well she had also found love, hers wasnt as vaste as yours but she got the other half of a very stunning package.

the article written by your best friend Beth became your new fave article. though you still wrote fabulous wedding articles, that story put beth on the article map. your editor loved it, loved the entire scope, the plot, everything.

she also enjoyed meeting the men who had enriched both yours and beth’s lives. Jensen and Jared the two men who had stolen your hearts, had decided that you both were important enough to keep.

what you didnt know is that on this day the anniversary of when you had first met Jensen would be the day that your life would change once more. this time a bit more drastically i suppose the story shall continue from hence forth.

we pick up in the penthouse you and Jensen are living in, both of you preparing for date night. well double date night anyway. it was the one thing both couples could agree to do, once a week both couples went on a double date. it was that easy.

Jensen knew you had just finished your shower, he didnt care he was having trouble finding what he wanted to wear.

Jensen: hey babe, where is my dark navy faded jeans?

YN: on top of the dresser in the pile of clothes you still need to put away.

jensen: oh umm right silly me.

YN: do you want me to wear my hair up or down?

Jensen: half and half, its gonna be a magical day. one that has been planned for a while now. one that we both will not soon forget.

now you were really curious, he said this had been planned for a while… what the hell could the surprise be.

YN: why do i not get to know where we are going?

Jensen: cause that would spoil the fun of the surprise. now ive laid out your outfit on the bed hurry up we have a schedule to keep.

YN: schedule. babe we have never had any kind of schedule other than when you are filming. so what are you planning? and why this outfit?

Jensen comes over to you and kisses you to get you to stop talking. thats when he pulled back looking at you with smiling faces.

Jensen: so curious babe, why cant you just enjoy the surprise for once.

YN: fine ill put it on and enjoy whatever you have planned. but im gonna say this you better have something extra special planned otherwise you will have me to deal with.

Jensen: never fear babe i will always have lots of surprises for you from this day forth. now what kind of mischief can we get into if you dont put on your outfit. or do you want me to put it on you?

YN: I can do it but it’s just I haven’t used this outfit since our anniversary last year.. Why do I need to wear it again, not that I’m complaining…

Jensen: just do it and when we get into the car i have to blindfold you and cover your ears so that way you dont spoil the rest of the surprise.

now you were curiouser, this made you pull Jensen onto the bed and pin him there…

YN: why do you insist on tormenting me like this?

Jensen could only smile as he flipped you onto the bottom as he held you there.

Jensen: cause its fun now hurry up and get ready we are gonna be late.

the following happened like this:

you finish getting ready

both you and jensen walk out of the apartment and down to a limo where jared and beth are waiting.

beth and you both are curious as you both are blindfolded and ears are covered before you both are allowed to exit the vehicle.

once Jared and Jensen knew it was safe for you both to see and hear again they were to remove the blindfolds and earplugs.

you both are revealed to be in the airport. you both plea to your men but they instead of saying anything give you both money to go and buy anything from the boutiques.

you both come back with another backpack and a whole bunch of things. random objects, but ones that would provide great entertainment later on. come fancy things in case of whatever your boyfriends had planned.

then Jared and Jensen ear plugged you both when the flight number was called. though they had spoken to the flight attendant when you both were gone, told them of their plan, told them that you both would have ear pluggs in when you both board.

both you and beth still oblivious, as the boys remove the ear plugs as the plane takes off. thats when it made you both question really badly. Where your boys were taking you.

the flight wasn’t long but one of the boys sat in the aisle then the respective girl would sit beside then so on and so forth. The one on the end would get informed when it was time to blindfold and ear plug you both again.

Sure enough you both were unsure of how much time had passed, but eventually one of the flight attendants came round and whispered something to the guy on the end. It was ear plug and blindfold time again.

You both didn’t question when the guys did their handy work of blindfold and earplug it wasnt like you were strangers to it. Jared and jensen led you both off the plane, through the busy airport and into the taxi landing bay.

They unplugged both your ears.

Jared: in a moment we will take off your blindfolds but first we want you both to listen to the sounds. What do you both hear.?

You and Beth listened very carefully to the sounds around you both.

YN: people talking

Beth: something about taxis so we are definitely on a taxi landing of some kind.

Yn: the smell in the air is familiar. Wait a minute. I think I know where we are I just hope I’m right.

Jensen: you both may step forward and remove your blindfolds. I guarantee you both that where we are is gonna be a fun spot for all of us.

You and Beth remove your blindfolds, your eyes land on the sight before you of a place where your story had began all those years ago.

Yn: you did this?

Jensen: happy anniversary sweetheart! Now we need to find a taxi or a ride or something.

You look around and you start walking toward the person at the small stand near by.

Yn: excuse me sir, I was wondering if you had any cars available to rent?

Rental dude: what kind of car were you looking for?

Yn: do you have anything sporty but easy to get in and out of?

Rental dude: what about a lack 2021 jeep wrangler Rubicon unlimited 4x4?

Yn: can you show it to me?

The guy flips round his monitor and shows you the car, you whistle and the others bring the bags to where you are.

Yn: babe can I use the card?

Jensen: what kind of vehicle are we getting.

Yn: you will see. Now sir, do I need to sign anything.

The rental guy laid out papers told you to sign/ initial at the spots marked with “x” that’s what you did. Then he handed you the papers in an envelope, the license plates and insurance for the vehicle and then sent you guys to the spot where the vehicle was.

You led your boyfriend, best friend and her boyfriend to the vehicle. Their eyes went wide as they loaded the bags into the jeep.

Jensen: babe this is style. But whose driving?

Yn: me silly cause I have a feeling I know where we are staying. The place where we spent our vacation together.

Jensen: correct, now everyone in the vehicle so we can get this show on the road. commence vacation immeidately.

everyone piled into the vehicle and you began to slowly pull out of the parkade. you hit the highway and sped up, within 45 min you were pulling into the resort. you told the guard that your reservation was under Ackles.

the guard handed you a packet with park passes, roomkeys, parking pass and your receipt. along with the list of nearby stores, and the hours for the resorts amenities. and then opened the gate for you to drive through.

upon arriving at the parking space you handed a room key to Beth discovering it was a side by side. this vacay just got a whole lot better.

You all seperated into accommodations to settle in.

Jensen: I have made reservations at gastons where we shared that big plate of nachos and grab us some champagne to celebrate the start of our vacation!

YN: i like that idea. i wanna get out of these shoes first. i want to put on something more suited for walking in the parks that wont kill my feet. these heels will kill my feet from walking through the park.

you sat down to take off your heels but Jensen was now kneeling by your feet undoing them for you. he placed gentle kisses on your legs as he removed the shoes from your feet.

he then slid on your slip on runners. he smiled as he got off the floor, helped you up and he spun you around like the love struck man he was. you had no idea what was about to happen but you were gonna enjoy yourself.

now in comfy shoes you and jensen head to meet up with jared and beth as you all head to the car and head off to main street magic kingdom. To where you and jensen first met. Course ya know it was also to enjoy the fireworks and eat the nachos and such as well.

you look around still amazed by everything you see around you. but you are the way Jensen kept looking at you was what made you feel normal. like the disaster at the wedding of Misha and vic didnt almost ruin your reputation.

your vacation was finally in the bag, your happiness was now in sight. your new life awaited but nothing would prepare you for events of the future. upon your arrival to Gastons tavern, Jensen had started talking to the waitress, she took something from him and smiled as she led you all to a booth.

Jensen could not help but smile, all he could do was smile. he was beyond excited for what he was about to do.

waitress: welcome to Gaston’s is this your first time here?

Jensen: for me and the lady across from me no, but the other 2 yes. can we get 4 rounds of your finest house shots right away, and 4 glasses of your finest champagne and bring the item. on a tray with the shots.

waitress: coming up sir. your shots will be out in a moment.

thankfully for jensen you were too engaged in conversation with Beth and Jared to hear what jensen had discussed with the waitress. Jensen placed his arm around your shoulders, his own breathing shifted, he was nervous about what was about to happen.

Jensen: ah good shots. we each get one i have a toast to make. but ill make the toast after we take the shots. now i dont know whats in these but they are sure to be good. on 3.

You all swig back your shots, Jensen kisses you after you both have downed yours. Then Jensen turns to you and smiles as he gets up from his seat and whistles to get the restaurants attention.

Jensen: I invite you all to bare witness to this momentous occasion. Me and my girlfriend are celebrating 2 years together this very day. I have to know YN did I mention that I'm in love with you.

That's when music starts playing. And jensen begins to sing.

Jensen: I met this girl who rocked my world like it's never been rocked and now I live just for you and I won't ever stop, I never thought that it could happen to a guy like me but now look at what you've done you have got me down on one knee.

You look down and see Jensen kneeling in front of you.

Jensen: it's us against the world, us against those who are jealous, those who dare to throw outrageous accusations our way or print stuff that isnt true. now and evermore i will have the most gorgeous woman on my arm. Will you do me the honor of marrying me.?

The entire restaurant now looking at you as Jensen unveiled the 24k rose gold emerald cut diamond ring surrounded by yours and Jensen's birthstones.

You begin nodding your head before your mouth would let you speak.

Yn: yes yes yes yes a thousand times yes!!!

You felt the cool metal ring slide around your finger as Jensen helped you off your seat and kissed you in front of the entire restaurant.

Lifting both your hands in the air he then yelled.

Jensen: shots for the entire restaurant on me. She said yes!!!

Then he turned to you and you leaned in his ear.

Yn: descendants 3 proposal nice touch.

Jensen: thanks to our best friends for helping set this up.

the hugs and congratulations poured in from everyone in the tavern. it wasnt till a few hours later as well as several shots and drinks later that you, jensen, beth and Jared all exited and went to watch the fireworks.

the moment of yours and jensen’s first kiss under the fireworks was just recreated. you and jensen waited till the first firework cracked lighting up the sky before creating once more your first kiss.
