imagining the story from pei ming's perspective is rlly funny i think. this god from all that time ago ascends again (you were there for the first two times) and immediately waltzes into a situation that fucks something up for your descendant (putting both of your reputations on the line, messing up how hard your descendant worked to become a god and how hard you worked to ensure that he would have that chance) and then refuses to let you smooth the situation out and on TOP of that your friend's little sister (who hates you and who you are trying to look out for by request of your friend) is on your case about it too. so you've gotta work all that out and then like. you chill for a little bit (still kind of upset about your descendant) until your friend undergoes a heavenly calamity. and then in the space of like A Day the god from earlier shows up again with a fucking ghost king, your friend dies, the little sister you're supposed to be looking out for disappears, and everything just kinda goes to shit. so you're like. grieving. trying to process everything. until your OTHER close friend goes off the fucking rails with the spirit of that guy she murdered, and then you get called out to the spooky ghost mountain where you're confronted with the girl whose death YOU were essentially responsible for and have never really come to terms with, and then like. you just kind of hang out with these gay people until everything resolves itself. fight some ghosts. fight the heavenly emperor. get your friend to stop being evil for a little while so she can fix the filing systems. and then you just have to keep being the god of love i guess

Do you think they would realize? Like “hey, were those the guys in my class in like fourth grade? I kinda remember them. Wonder if they remember each other. But it was so long ago, I doubt they would even care.” Meanwhile Edgeworth and Phoenix are undergoing the most insane mental battles where both of them are going “I recognize my best friend across the courtroom and I desperately want to be close with them again.” And “god he is so god damn annoying I wish he would die already.”

listen. yes it's pretty frustrating but i think it's so funny how they had aerin be an official LI, made his route fuck so hard even previous haters wanted to fuck him, and then had him dip in the same chapter that he had sex with MC for the first time. and then he's just been gone like it never happened for 9 chapters and counting. like i know ill get death threats for this but i genuinely think this was one of choices' funniest moves. what was going through their minds. 10/10 no notes

Y'know, I was perfectly willing to follow along with the cartoon logic of Sonic not needing to eat or sleep on-screen, but this episode really made me go "oh. oh this guy hasn't had a real moment to rest since the night before the Prism shattered"

And now I really like that they didn't completely dismiss his need for food and sleep, or the toll that all these stressful situations would naturally have on him. It adds a sense of "realness" to his character that I really appreciate seeing in a show like this.

I mean, he sheds a tear after eating food. He probably fell asleep in the middle of the boat because he was too tired to move anywhere else, which is understandable when you think about the timeline.

The Prism event happened at sunset, maybe 7pm depending on the season? Even if we're generous and assume that the episode length is accurate to the amount of time he actually spent world-hopping, that's still the craziest two hours of his life, taking him to 9pm.

...And then he spent the second half of a whole day with the pirates. He was awake for easily two days straight, quite possibly closer to three considering that I doubt the first six episodes actually took only two hours in canon.

I hope we get more moments of rest with Sonic in the future, because this was extremely cathartic after all the high-octane adventures he had gone through beforehand
