The health benefits of exercise are well documented. Working out on a regular basis is not just a great way to stay in shape, it also enables your body to produce natural chemicals called endorphins that help you feel happier, and may also make it easier to focus on your studies.
Based on researches done by experts, exercise improves learning. As we were looking for evidence of this, we came across an article by Nancy Barile, an award-winning teacher, giving her feedback in reference to the book “Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain”  - “Written by Dr. John J. Ratey, an associate clinical professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, the book explores the connection between exercise and the brain, providing strong evidence that aerobic exercise physically remodels the brain for peak performance on all fronts. Specifically, Dr. Ratey writes that exercise improves learning on three levels: "First, it optimizes your mind-set to improve alertness, attention, and motivation; second, it prepares and encourages nerve cells to bind to one another, which is the cellular basis for logging in new information; and third, it spurs the development of new nerve cells from stem cells in the hippocampus." In short, not only does exercise help the brain get ready to learn but it actually makes retaining information easier. “ This is great news for students who have so much learning to do! In addition, exercising a few times a week improves mental health, and decreases anxiety attacks, depression, helps us focus more, and even better, it helps relieve stress (which we have in abundance).
As the video above suggests , exercising helps to boost brain health and memory. As a nursing student, you need to include exercising in your daily routine in order to stay fit physically and mentally. It also helps to alleviate stress which could get in your way of studying.

Review of Mental Health Articles
We all know a healthy and stable mental health is important to support student’s learning process in school. The importance of students’ mental health rises awareness as professionals have recognized the impact of students’ mental health on their study and achievement. What is written in the article is how mental health education should begin in schools. Students surely spend their most of time in daily life at school since their early age, and it’s possible to see mental health issues grow during the school-age years.
The reason why mental health education should start in schools is that school is where students start to experience conflicts and challenges due to misconceptions and their behavior to hone their sense of self-worth. However, not all students are able to manage their own conflicts as well as others. Sometimes, students would feel anxious about what they are facing because they are not able to overcome their problems. By learning mental health issues in school, students can find out what they are feeling and they can ask for help. The teachers will be able to see small changes in their students’ behavior and they can help them with that. It will be better if schools provide a curriculum of mental health education so it can benefit students to recognize signs of developing mental health problems through this education.
In my opinion, the articles have shown a lot of evidence of students experiencing mental health problems at their early age and it reminded the readers that mental health is always important to support students’ learning process in school. There is also a program by New York’s School Mental Health written in the article to help to promote the development of students’ mental health which the readers can implement in their own ways in their teaching activity.

The Importance of Mental Health Awareness in Schools
Mental health awareness is an important issue for educators. The author wants to share about how important mental health awareness is in schools. As I know, mental health gives huge impact to learning process and it should be handled as soon as possible. The author welcomed the fact that mental health awareness is an important part of school's function and curriculum.
She shares her experience helping one of her students that got through mental disorder. She added that one out of five people lives with mental disorder or disease. It becomes more serious that 60 percent of high school students with mental illness don't graduate (estimated by National Alliance on Mental Illness). The experts suggest that there should be an early education to students and teachers about mental health and how it affects on learning. Spreading this awareness can start from a simple step, emphasizing mental health is a part of health and the concept of recovery from it. For her, that is the key for raising mental health awareness to students. She added that teachers and staffs can work together to promote mental health awareness in school. Besides that, teachers and students need to know the early signs of mental health problems.
For me, the point of writing this article are to emphasize more about the awareness. In my society, elderly peoples like parents, adults, even some teachers still thinking that this mental health issues is not a big thing and more into taboo. This article is quite interesting to help educators starting their steps for raising mental health awareness in their school.

1) I think one of my wobbles is still in figuring out how to transition from elementary to high school art. I taught 1 year as an elementary teacher and at the end of last year I felt like I was into a great groove, students were having fun, I figured out what lessons worked and what did not, and I had gained the respect and trust of the elementary kids. Then they pulled me to middle and high school. Dont get me wrong, I love it! Its what I am used to. It was so hard to transition from teaching older kids, to younger, then back to older. I just feel like I forgot a little. It is such a HUGE difference. I know once I get through this first year I will be back into the ms/hs groove again.
