16. “You’re getting crumbs all over my bed.” + mark

You finally managed to get home. It was Friday and the weather was terrible, making it harder to move around town. As soon as you opened the door, you felt a cold wave wash over you. What the fuck? You had left the heating system on so you could come over to a warm house, but this most definitely wasn’t it. You sighed in annoyance and closed the door behind you, moving on to check what had happened.

Once you reached the heating system, you realized it wasn’t actually working. You tried and tried and tried to make it function again, but it was hard fixing something when you didn’t even know what was wrong with it in the first place. There was no way you could stay home tonight and you wouldn’t find anyone to fix it at this hour and at this weather. You thought about your options: all your friends were back home for the holiday and your parents were away on a Christmas cruise. Great. It seemed like your best option was to call your almost boyfriend and just crash at his place, even though you kinda didn’t want it. It’s not like you haven’t slept there before, it was just that the last time you did, things got a bit weird.

You were resting against Mark’s chest while he watched some random movie on the TV. The two of you have been going out for over three months now, but no one had said a thing about making it official. You weren’t seeing anyone else and you knew Mark wasn’t either. Yet, there was no talk about becoming boyfriend and girlfriend. He wasn’t a talker, you knew that. He liked you, you also knew that. But you kinda needed to make sure the both of you were on the same page and had the same expectations on where this was going.

After playing with his triangle necklace for a few seconds, you finally found the courage to speak, “Mark?”

“Hm,” he hummed, acknowledging you.

“Can I ask you something?” You sounded unsure.

Mark nodded, “Yeah.”

You inhaled deeply. This was it. “W-what… what are we?”

“What do you mean?” He had his brows furrowed, confusion taking over him.

You sat up so you could look at him properly, “I mean, what are we?”

Mark shrugged, still lying in bed, “I-I don’t know?” You let out a breath. This is why you were avoiding having this conversation altogether. He had a different view on this, you knew it. “What do you want me to say?”

“Something other than I don’t know?” The frustration in your voice was clear. You weren’t really sure about what you were expecting from this, but this wasn’t it. “We’ve been dating for three months now… Maybe it’s time to make this,” you said, pointing at the two of you, “official.”

He inhaled, “Do we really need to have this conversation now? Do we need a label?”

You felt your heart drop to your stomach and swallowed your feelings, “No.”

“I like-”

You shook your head, “No, it’s ok. Let’s just watch the movie.” You laid down by his chest again and wanted nothing more than to fall asleep to pretend all of this didn’t happen.

Mark pressed you against him, “I really like you, ok?”

You just smiled sadly at him and focused on the TV until it made you drift away and fall asleep.

You dialed his number and he soon picked up, “Hey.”

“Hey, Mark.”

“Is everything ok?” He sounded worried. “Haven’t heard from you in a few days…”

You let out a breath, “Yeah, everything’s fine. I kinda needed a favor though.”

“Of course. How can I be useful?” He said, laughing. Fuck. You loved his laugh.

“I need a place to crash. I got home and my-”

He interrupted you, “Say no more. I’ll wait for you to come over.”

You chuckled, “Hmkay. Thanks. I’ll just grab some things and go.”

“You’re welcome. See you soon?” He sounded unsure, careful.

“Yeah, be there soon.”

“Can’t wait,” he said, hanging up immediately before you could say anything back.

You sighed, slightly annoyed at your lack of options and still a bit upset at what had happened at the last time you were at Mark’s. You had no time for that, though, you needed to grab your things and hurry to his place given the fact that you had to be up early tomorrow for a meeting.

You threw a bunch of your stuff in a bag and frantically left, your apartment being too cold for any human being to be there. After luckily getting a cab, you reached Mark’s apartment in half an hour. You rang the intercom and he buzzed you in.

Once you got out of the elevator, he was waiting for you by the door with a small smile on his face, “Hi.” He moved aside so you could come in, giving you a kiss on the cheek first.

“Hi,” you smiled.

“Missed you,” he said, getting your bag and placing it by the couch.

You blushed at his words, “M-missed you too.”

He smiled, “Good. Look, I’ll go shower. Make yourself at home.”

“Okay,” you said, nodding. “Thanks again.”

“No problem.” Mark left for his bedroom and you decided to get something to eat while you waited for your turn to shower.

You opened Mark’s cabinet and saw a bag of your favorite chips. Your heart got warm at the sight - he probably got that for you since he didn’t even like garlic flavored chips. You grabbed the bag and went to his room, settling yourself comfortably in his bed and turning the TV on.

After a few minutes of eating and watching some random movie, Mark opened the bathroom door. He was wearing a loose t-shirt and some basketball shorts. It’s been months, but you still weren’t used to how good looking was. He sat by the end of the bed, back facing you and hands moving smoothly against his hair to dry it out. You heard Mark’s voice but didn’t get the grasp of what he had just said. “What?”

Mark chuckled, “I said you’re getting crumbs all over my bed.”

“Oh…” You closed the bag, placed it by his nightstand and cleaned your fingertips against your jeans. “Sorry.”

“It’s ok. This isn’t just my bed, you know?”

You got confused by his words, “What?”

He laughed once again at your confusion, “Yeah. This bed isn’t just mine. It’s ours.” He turned around so he could look at you.

“Mark-”“Look, I get it. I’m sorry I made you upset last week. I’m sorry I didn’t wanna say what you wanted to hear.” He sighed, “I’m just… scared.”

You furrowed your brows, “Of what?”

“Of things changing once we use those words? I don’t know.” Mark shrugged, “I’ve never liked anyone this much and I just don’t wanna ruin it.”

“Saying those words won’t ruin anything, Mark.” You shook your head, “Sorry if I pressured you in any way.” Your voice was soft, gentle, too scared of saying the wrong thing and push him away, “I just… I like you and I want us to move forward, you know?”

Mark moved closer, sitting right in front of you, and placed his hand on top of yours, “I know. I want that too. I want you to be happy. I want you to be happy with me.” When he said that, he squeezed your hand to let you know he meant it. “So this is me, officially saying you don’t have a way out of this anymore.”

You laughed, “What do you mean?”

Mark smiled brightly, “I mean you’re my girlfriend. You can’t escape me anymore.”

You felt your heart race - yeah, it was probably going to explode. You were smiling so bright your face would probably hurt, “I’m what? I didn’t quite get it.”

Mark leaned forward, face inches from yours, “You’re my girlfriend.”

You got one hand against his cheek and brushed the hair out of his face with the other, “I’m what?”

He placed a kiss at your forehead, “How many times are you gonna make me say it?”

You chuckled and before you kissed him, you said, “‘Til I’m tired of listening.”

Right off with the first few lyrics. I’m crying. YES I AM CRYING. This was almost the same words she thought in the chapter. Was she there only to temporarily fill the void in Sehun’s heart when she felt it was for Jiyul instead. OH NOOOO.

I can't touch you no more Can't touch you any more any more And this relates to Chapter 12 a lot how she wouldn’t really look at him or touch him and this is so sad. THIS WHOLE SONG IS SO SAD but it’s so fitting to that part when he chose Jiyul over her and IT”S GOING INTO MY APT PLAYLIST.

THIS WHOLE SONG. Can I just say how cute it is??? This just makes me feel like I missed an opportune moment for Sehun and Ahri to dance together at the wedding??? I kind of made it so that it was Soi and Ahri dancing puahahahha. Technically, I should’ve made Sehun and Ahri dance because he tends to dance when he’s nervous about something.

I read chapter 17 till half past 4 in the morning. I had to sleep because i needed to wake up at 9 for a gym session the next morning. But I have sleep problems so I kept waking up throughout the night and reaching for my phone to reread 17 in my sleep-induced haze and dozing off. I had to fake illness and reschedule my gym session in the end xD. I hope my trainer doesn’t see this. HAHAH even when I was half asleep, I kept thinking that I still had so much to tell you about 17!! - ma

ANONNN. Did you know I screamed a lot while writing this chapter. I felt so bad for my followers on Twitter. They felt the main grunt of it all ahhahahaha. I almost died writing this. My heart hurt so bad from it all T_____T Thank you so much for reading and as for their ages. I heavily---HEAVILYYYY aged Sehun in this because I felt I needed his character a bit older than how he was. And since I started this fic 3 years ago, I really did age this poor boy LOL. He’s 29 and she’s 27 in the story. :)

hello! it’s rachel here, and today (feb. 4, 2019) marks my two year anniversary. tbh i can’t believe i’m still blogging even though i’ve wanted to quit multiple times already. the love i have for seven beautiful boys and my dear friends keep me going strong and shine a light when i’m surrounded only by darkness. all the love and kindness i’ve received has made my time on tumblr worthwhile.

to the friends i’ve made, thank you for sending the first ask, the first message, tagging me in a post, or chatting with me in a gc if i wasn’t the brave one to say hi first. thank you for bonding with me over bts, whether it was laughing, crying, thirsting, or even all three. y’all have a special place in my heart, and i love everyone to pieces.

1. what do you prefer to be called name-wise?

I’m known as Mo to everyone so Mo is what I just automatically go with lol. My full first name has Ann in it so a few family members call me Annie. A boy I’ve known since I was little is the only one that calls me Mads (he does it with a stupid grin and his arm over my shoulders so honestly, I’m sure he’s just been teasing me for two decades).

Studying (which is my whole life really lol), listening to music and finishing this tag before I reach for my dictionary of medical terms

5. four fandoms that have peaked your interest?

Oh goodness, four? Well kpop, I write for it after all. Um JATP, MacGyver and Harry Potter I guess.

6. how has the pandemic been treating you?

Oof this pandemic. I’m 50/50 really. I have my health, my family and friends have theirs. I’ve got food and a roof over my head and there’s only so much that’s changed for me in terms of how I’ve been living. It is heartbreaking to see how the world is. I cannot wait for the return of my normalcy. Things have not been easy for me or my family here and in the Philippines but I’m counting my blessings. 

Creatively, it’s been hard. I’m an introvert but there is also a point where I need to, I don’t know, I need the world around me to fuel any sort of inspiration. So the same routine for almost a year can be draining and frustrating in its ways. And my not so favorite development is the increase in my anxiety. But that’s a day to day journey.

7. a song you can’t stop listening to?

We’re gonna skip a song and I’m going to have to demand that you all listen to the Julie and the Phantoms soundtrack and Shawn Mendes’ new album ‘Wonder’. That’s basically my rotation. Those and 1D’s album FOUR lol.

THE COLD. I love fall/winter. I always tell people: you can wrap up in layers to get warm but when you’re too hot, you can’t even rip your skin off to get cool.

I am always too into my own head, which I can tell you from experience, is not always a good thing.

13. are you shy?

Yes. Absolutely. I fear judgement, even in my late 20s. I withdraw easily in fear of people not liking who I am and tend to stick to the people I’ve known since I was young. My closest friends are people I’ve known for a decade or more. Making friends now is difficult on my part so I tend to avoid it. I get lucky sometimes, find people that are easy to slip into a friendship with. I cherish those. I tend to be a bit loud and more myself when I’m around those that make me feel comfortable.

15. biggest pet peeves?

People who are inconsiderate, that only think of themselves and can’t see if another person is hurting or going through a situation they don’t wish to share. I don’t like being told I’m wrong when I am fairly certain I’m right. I’m the kind of person that will accept my faults but when I’m sure? Being told I’m incorrect pushes my buttons lol. I do not appreciate laziness (like the real bad kind) and I cannot stand the type of cruel judgement people can dish out over silly matters.

Either deredere or kuudere

I’m a work in progress. Not everything is easy for me, there’s alot of walls that need breaking down. I do my best with what I’ve got, what I’m given but I’m not always smiley. I’m not always positive. I cry alot, am overly emotional sometimes, but if I love you? I do everything I can to be there for you. I try to listen, to ease any pains you have. I carry too much on my shoulders but I will not ask for help to carry it. There’s alot more to me, parts of myself that I only share in whispers into the darkness of my own room. But I do my best. That’s really all I can do, isn’t it?

So I’m having an incredibly hard time choosing a bias from BTS, but lately I’ve been feeling very soft for that Park Jimin guy…

My sister (who first introduced me to kpop, the little shit) showed me some dance practice videos. I believe the first GOT7 one I saw was “Just Right”. Admittedly, Jacks wasn’t the one I was watching - p sure it was Jinyoung but shhh….

YEOL HAD ME SNATCHED FROM THE FUCKIN START. I got into the fandom when “Monster” had come out, and I was watching the dance practice and thinking, “Who thE FUCK is that tall nerd with the voice leaping over people and getting all in my face?? I must learn his entire life story immediately right now”

I think Chanyeol was tied with Kai at the start but somehow Yeol never returned my wig…. 

Well, I still haven’t Chosen a bias for BTS yet but unofficially, hell yeah

4. Your favorite thing about your bias?

Everything about Jackson?? How he always hypes up his members and friends. How his ideal girl is “healthy”. How hard he works on everything, his husky rap voice, his thighs, how sincere he always is, how he can go from playful and joking to serious in a heart beat, his extra ass, how hilarious he is but he also doesn’t take shit from anyone and is protective as fuck, how the sun literally shines out of his eyes–

I’m sure I’ve written extensively in other posts on why Park Chanyeol owns my life, but essentially I just love the person that he is. He’s so authentic, like you know he’s who he is wherever he is. He befriends literally everyone. He’s so amazing with children and animals (ahh my heart), also extremely extra, his deep man voice, how musically inclined he is (when he plays guitar, he plays me), his smile, how he wears the same three clothes for years…

I’m learning more and more and Jiminnie every day, but so far my favorite thing is how much he cares for the other members and how unbelievably hard-working he is ;~; Oh my stress, if I had even 1/10th of his willpower…
