i can see that theres a matching theme going on. the younger boys get the light blue/dark colors casual matchy theme and the older ones get a more sophisticated and primarily black deal

and also asymmetrical designs. which, as u said, theres nothing wrong with that! i even like asymmetrical designs a lot! but these ones have me tilting my head JHVSKJDHKF

artem is the lesser evil here. his shirt isnt bad, per se, it just takes me a second glance to understand whats going on cuz the pattern acts a bit like an optical illusion at first

Okay I will gladly expand on Pollux and the Demeter cabin hhhh

headcanons below, because they got really long.

I think the Demeter kids were really messed up, too? Like, not Pollux's level because no one could ever understand the situation that way he did, but they were really messed up for a while. Nothing grew for a few days, and all of the plants growing on/in their cabins and most of the strawberry fields died and wouldn't grow back. (The satyrs tried to make them grow but it only worked on very small parts)

Because Demeter isn't the most involved with her kids who aren't Persephone, it takes a lot to get her attention. This got her attention. She tried to cheer them up by sending them gifts and blessings, but Katie and Miranda insisted that the only thing that would make it better would be bringing Castor back from the dead.

Pollux was completely devastated for two weeks after his brother's death. It was only because of one of Demeter's blessings that he survived. He never came out of the Demeter Cabin except for once - Castor's funeral.

I want to say that Pollux had a good support system in the Demeter cabin, but they were wrecks too, and it was really hard for a while.

Nobody made eye contact with Pollux, and no one really liked to look at him at all, because him and Castor were identical twins.

Pollux didn't look at himself in the mirror until months after Castor died.

I think Pollux prayed to Castor a lot. At first it was sort of like a crutch, or a way to talk to him like he was still there. He would tell him about the cutest boys in camp, or how their friends were doing, small stuff like that. And he'd do it every day, usually around dinner time. Occasionally, like on their birthday or other holidays, he'd sacrifice Castor's favorite foods into the fire for him. Eventually he stopped praying every day, and now he only does it to ask for guidance, like a normal prayer.

The other two weeks Pollux stayed in the Demeter cabin were bittersweet. He laughed and had a good time with them, but it just felt empty without his brother there. And then when he went back to the Dionysus cabin...

It wasn't great. At first Pollux didn't want to touch the room, but after a few nights of restless sleep and constant crying, Miranda Gardiner helped him clean up most of Castor's stuff and put it into boxes to put in the closet. Pollux hated that he just packaged up Castor's stuff and put it away, but he told himself he could look at it anytime if he needed to. He wasn't a bad brother for trying to heal. Castor would want that for him.

Pollux decided he couldn't take Castor's absence hanging over him anymore and moved the boxes to his mother's house, where he stayed for the school year. She had always wanted their demigod lives to be separate, but he had to have his own life at camp if he wanted to live there and be better.

Dionysus was estranged, distraught at the loss of his son. He wanted to reach out to Pollux, but he didn't know how. He finally worked it out, though, and he and Pollux began to spend even more time together.

Pollux always remained grateful for the Demeter kids and their mother for the rest of his life, and he never forgot what they did for him.

Do you want some happier ones of when Castor was still alive? Of course you do.

Pollux was older by like a minute, and he always teased Castor about it.

Castor got the nickname "Castiel" because Katie Gardner had a big Supernatural phase and... you get the idea

Castor had so many crushes, but he never really got the date. He was a sweet kid, but he was really nervous and awkward at first when it came to relationships. Pollux was smoother and suaver, and constantly had everyone falling for him, not the other way around.

Castor had maybe one real boyfriend ever, and then one 'girlfriend' in like first grade.

I'm a sucker for Castercy now (thanks to @caffeinatedflumadiddlebutpjo) so he definitely had a big crush on Percy. They would have made a cute couple, but alas, Annabeth was Percy's true love.

Castor was best friends with a daughter of Athena named Otrera (after the first Amazon queen) but she joined the titan side of the war and then disappeared to Alaska half way through the war.

Castor's favorite color was purple and Pollux's is olive green

super long wait, i know. half of this was written when bnha was still my hyperfixation, hence why it's one shots. the headcanons were written now, because i felt bad leaving out denki and eijirou. -cherry

katsuki bakugō:

it was just after nine in the afternoon. katsuki had already gone to sleep as per usual, though tonight he was rudely interrupted by loud knocking on his room's door.

"the hell do you want, loser?!", he shouted, still unsure of who was even at his door. everyone knew by now not to disturb him, so who dared to do so anyways?

getting out of bed and proceeding to open the door, the ash blond was slightly less angered when he saw eijirou standing there. said red head looked frantic because of something. bakugou honestly didn't even want to know what had got him so distraught, but he knew he wouldn't get his well deserved sleep otherwise,

"spit it out, shitty hair."

"we were looking at pictures from the sports festival online and we found something that you should maybe see for yourself!", eijirou started, realizing that he wasn't getting his friend's attention, so he added, "it's about you and (y/n)!"

kirishima was the only one that knew about bakugou's secret crush on you. that's why he wasn't laughing like everyone else in the common room; because what they found may cause complications.

after kirishima had mentioned your name, bakugou was swiftly jogging towards where almost all of his class was sitting gathered around a laptop, which seemed to be mina's, judging by all the leopardy and pink stickers on it.

"out of the way extras!", katsuki stomped over to see what all the fuss was about. from the corner of his eye he saw how you were cowering next to one of the couches, face covered by your hands. at first he couldn't understand why, but when he saw a particular piece of artwork displayed on the laptop screen, he figured you were just majorly embarrassed.

the art that his class found on google was from somebody's blog that was all about the 'heroes of the future!'. needless to say, the blog didn't only deal with the heroes, but also the relationships of them. ever since an encounter at the sports festival that a lot of people saw and shared around, you and bakugou had become a popular so called ship. (the girls explained that 'ship' didn't mean anything related to boats when they teased you about mentioned moment in front of him.)

katsuki couldn't help but feel embarrassed himself, but he also had to keep his cool to not seem suspicious. looking at the drawing of you and him one more time, the ash blond walked over to you, ignoring anything his class was saying.

"(y/n), you ok?", he crouched down to your level, poking your head once. his only response was a quiet hum, followed by a hiccup. worried, katsuki grabbed your hand tightly and pulled you outside the dorm.

the air was nice, not too hot, nor too cold. a light wind was blowing as the moon shone brightly.

bakugou gave you a little space and some time to calm down. when you did, he was quick to ask,

"what's the matter? did you get THAT embarrassed by it?"

you shook your head no. it was something more, but was this the right time to tell him?

"i was really embarrassed at first.", you started, "but then i thought about something and cried."

"about what?", the usually loud boy asked softly. silence was all he got for a good minute until you finally responded,

"you know how they say 'life imitates art'? i really wish it w-was like that..."

now you were the one getting silence as a response. did you really just say that?

"idiot, being all cryptic and shit.", katsuki tried to stay calm, even if he was freaking out on the inside, "if you want a kiss you can have it."

shōto todoroki:

mr. aizawa's classes had a pretty strict schedule most of the time: first the class would get an assignment, that they'd do until said teacher falls asleep. after that, everyone would quietly - in order to not wake up aizawa - do anything they want, really.

for shouto this was more or less just plainly boring, as he was one of the few students that actually did what they had to. he'd finish his work and then wait, because he had nothing else to do. he was most likely to bother midoriya, but today he was very into whatever he was writing down in his little book. so shouto settled for observing the classmates behaviour. well, rather your behaviour.

the half and half boy knew it was weird, but he liked watching you. he liked seeing you, especially when you were happy and smiling. todoroki knew what these 'symptoms' were, but he wanted everything to stay as it was for now.

why he had caught those feelings, he didn't know. he figured it was the way you stood out. you didn't get lost in between the others and he liked that.

while todoroki was deep in thought, ashido had walked over to your desk, where you were doing the assignment in peace and quiet,

"(y/n), look! the other's and i thought about how todoroki always stares at you so intensely, so we created these shipnames! which one do you like better?"

you looked at the paper or rather the newly created words and little pictures drawn by some of your classmates and immediately turned red. flailing your hands around a little, you lied,

"none of these, i don't...like todoroki in that way."

mina looked a tad upset at that, but she understood, nodded and walked back to her table. you sort of felt bad, having killed her excitement, but you didn't need anyone knowing about your secret crush on the stoic one.

speaking of the stoic one, he couldn't hear anything you and mina had talked about. he only saw her walking over, showing you something and you freaking out and sending her away. needless to say, he was curious what had caught you off guard so much. when shouto saw mina throwing away that suspicious piece of paper, he decided to look at it when class ended. even if he thought sticking his hand in the trash was a little gross.

the end of class came sooner than expected. shouto was packing his bag slower than usual, waiting until everyone had left. after they did, he skipped over to the trash can, pulling out the latest addition: a piece of paper that embarrassed (y/n)!

he stuffed it in his bag and carried on walking to his dorm room, where he finally felt safe looking at it, " 'ship names'? why would they want to name a boat after (y/n) and i?", he asked himself, before a certain doodle on the page explained your reaction and the girls' name-mixing. even shouto couldn't help but react in some way, thinking about said doodle happening in real life. that's when he got startled by a knock on his door.

"hey, todoroki. i know you always do your work in class, so i thought i'd come and ask you about...", you drifted off, seeing the light blush on his cheeks and his fire side burning, "...umm, am i interrupting something?"

he was hiding a piece of paper behind his back. you could see just the corner of it, but that was enough for you to identify what paper it was.

"didn't take you for the nosey type.", you akwardly laughed in order to drown out your embarrassment.

"sorry, i got curious.", he looked unusually upset, averting his heterochromatic eyes and letting his arms drop on his sides. you confirmed the paper was indeed the one that mina showed you earlier.

"did you dislike it a lot?", shouto asked without thinking.

now it was your turn to blush.

Omg, they went all out on Mrs. Coulter’s apartment.

Cries at Mrs. Coulter looking at Lyra with such a conflicted expression as she plays on her bed. Wtf, Ruth Wilson. 😭

AUgh, Roger hugging Billy. These are two of the cutest little boys ever, omg.

“I slept out there every other Sunday.” / “No, you didn’t.” / “I did!” And then Mrs. C fondly laughs. 😭😭😭

“I’ve never been sure about them. Heights. I could never get away from the occasional urge to jump.” JESUS CHRIST.

(Because fundamentally, so many of Marisa’s actions are about self-destruction.)

“Lyra, look around this room. How many women do you see? In every room, there are those that would belittle you. With my help, they won’t lay a scratch on you.” || I’m glad that the show is tackling the extreme misogyny in Lyra’s world.

OH, the LYRA AND MRS. COULTER BATH SCENE. The specific detail of the monkey looking away. The way she strokes Lyra’s face so tenderly. And how Pan, and of course, Lyra by extension, starts to notice some of the danger behind Mrs. C’s words...

“She’s nice. She treats me nice. Don’t we deserve to have nice things? For once?” And we’re shown shots of Mrs. C staring sadly at the empty bathtub. God.

Wow, the glare she gives the monkey when she sees him staring at her.

GSHSJSS, the show does anything it can to make sure it doesn’t have to show minor and extra character’s dæmons.

But man, how I adore how it’s fleshing out unseen moments from the book: a lot of Lyra and Mrs. Coulter’s time together, Farder Coram and John Faa trying to find Billy, Roger and Billy in captivity. A good adaptation of a show doesn’t change big parts of its mythos; it adds to that mythos to expand it in new and exciting ways.

While they’ve been in London, Lyra and Mrs. C have matched in shades of blue. 👀

YO, the monkey growling under the table when Lyra mentions Dust, and Pan noticing. I love seeing the complexities of the dæmons.

Lyra lying so effortlessly to Mrs. Coulter is A+, but the bad part already established is that Mrs. C, liar extraordinaire, can tell when her kid is lying.

jean d’arc route summary and translation chp.6

Disclaimer: This is an unofficial translation based on my somewhat serviceable Japanese skills with the aid of various kanji dictionaries (and some Google Translate).  Now updating on weekends.

The italicized words in brackets are the comments I made throughout my playthrough. Of course, there will be spoilers.

(My wording skills and grammar in English practically fly out of the window every time I need to handle Japanese. K.)

The day after becoming Jean’s attendant, MC goes shopping with Sebastian. Then they run into a bookstore, which sells not only excellent selections, but also other miscellaneous goods. An idea comes to her and she asks Sebas if they could stop for a while so she can buy something.

She arrives at the library to find Jean sitting at the desk, still reading “The Ugly Duckling” just like yesterday.

“Before we start our study, there’s something I want to hand over to you first.”

“A notebook, huh”

MC tells him it’s to help him to practice writing the alphabet, since he only reads when they study. She gets no reaction from Jean and panics. 

“Uh, you can put it aside when not using it,”

But Jean does say something (albeit quietly), and MC begs his pardon.

“Thank you, Teacher.”

MC is shocked and asks him to repeat it. Sure enough, he calls her “Sensei”*.　When MC asks him where that came from, Jean told her that he crossed paths with Arthur and told him along the lines of  “If someone is telling you that they’re helping you learn to write, the one who’s being taught needs to call the tutor teacher.”

MC says it’s not wrong for him to call her that, she only worries people will get the wrong idea if he says it like that. But Jean doesn’t seem to understand, so MC lets it slide.

Jean opens the notebook handed to him only once. MC acknowledges there’s something that doesn’t sit well with her, even if it’s just for a bit. MC brushes the feeling off as they begin their nightly lesson.

(It’s Jean and Mozart time! Jean and Mozart time! I can’t get enough of their interactions askjdjfhsl. Pictures ahead because I just adore their relationship)

Later that night, Jean is standing alone on the balcony when someone joins him.

(It’s Mo hwhwhwhhw)

Jeanne notices his best friend. “So it’s you. Still awake?”

“It’s around this time when I write down on my staff* because a beautiful melody comes to mind.”

Mozart asks Jean if he’s been getting reading writing lessons, to which the latter guesses that it must’ve been Arthur’s fault that word’s gotten around. 

”Honestly, I'm surprised you accepted the girl”

Jean tells him that he thought about refusing her, thinking that nothing good would come out of it otherwise. However, he couldn’t since he didn’t want to let her despair. 

“Indeed, what a strange girl,” Mozart comments, but then he smirks/ “Sebastian’s plan does have its results.”

“Mozart?”

(Jean’s expressions are unintentionally hilarious I can’t)

“Nah, it’s nothing.” Mozart lies. “Well, let’s pass the time together, shall we?”

“Only this part is incorrect, but the rest is perfect!”

“Really?”

“Fufu, it’s true. Let’s practice from this letter next time.”

As she returned the notebook, she noticed there was “Jean d’Arc” written in bold letters. 

“It’d cause much trouble if I lost it.” Jean suddenly spoke. “That note is something given by you. Besides, it’s useful to practice letters this way, isn’t it?”

“That’s why I wrote on it so I won’t lose it.” 

Of course this made MC want to grin happily, and Jean continued. “At least, being able to write your own name makes me happy. I just had to do it.”

“This big?” MC asked.

“If you write that big, anyone would immediately know who it belongs to, right?”

(At this point, neither I nor MC could hold it in anymore. This boi is too darn cute.)

So MC burst out laughing. And Jean is like “Girl, whatcha laughing at?”

“Sorry….somehow I thought Jean was kawaii”* she laughed at him.

Jean tried to divert the topic by admitting that he’s chronologically the oldest person in the entire mansion, which is the reason why there’s a lot he doesn’t know about. MC herself internally admits there’s much stuff she’s yet to know, but Jean’s earnest approach is what makes him extra kawaii.

(I don’t want to elaborate on the following lines because they’re better read by yourself. It’s so sweet and I know you guys would love it too).

Suddenly, the room is enveloped in a white flash, along with some noise. Soon comes the sound of rain.

MC has fallen asleep again. When she tries to wake up, she notices Jean looking out the window outside.

(Just like the last time, he covered her shoulders with his jacket).

His hand is covering the eyepatch seemingly in reminiscence. There’s a cold air about him, and she wonders aloud what he's been thinking.

“The rain, I was thinking that I hated it.” 

When she asks why, he simply says. “People who like rain are rare.”

But MC tells him there are good things about it, like people taking out colorful umbrellas on the streets on a rainy day, how good it is to sleep to the sound of rain, and how clear the sky looks after rain. 

“You can’t ascertain the weather will be clear tomorrow”

That's right. Nobody knows about tomorrow.

"Monsieur Jean, would you like to bet?"

*1 My son my fictional brother-in-law my stand-in as Napoleon’s spouse my boi is just the cutest. You should’ve seen my face when reading this.

*2 This refers to the Western staff/notation on a music sheet. The original kanji is “五線譜”, which consists of the kanji “five”, “line”, and “musical score/music” as in the five lines on a musical notation. 

*3 Jokes aside , MC actually used the word “ 可愛い” /“kawaii” here.

I felt like elaborating that bit about music because that was what I remember most when I studied music in elementary school. Kinda regret not pursuing music properly and making it a part of my career, but hhhh I can always try learning new instruments later.
