deeply refreshing to see someone critical of Swift who also like, genuinely likes her. Like i'm neutral to positive on her, but the online discourse has been absolutely rancid. flipping between "Taylor Swift has never done anything wrong ever and she's a fucking genius" and "Taylor Swift is the worst lyricist of all time and also a bad person" is exhausting, so thank you for like. nuance or something lmao

not to make it serious for a sec but i genuinely think that being able to like things that are bad is really important. like I think that it's an important skill to be able to look at something and see what you personally enjoy about it and then take a step back and acknowledge that objectively it's flawed. and to also be able to acknowledge that liking something isn't necessarily an identity or a moral stance. and i think that fandom space in general could really benefit from more people taking the time to learn how to do that. it's okay to like things that are bad

not to bring up mass effect but that’s one of the most interesting things it ever posited when it came to the idea of organic vs artificial intelligence. a machine, if sentient, knows who created it and why it was created. and a person will never know that. like, even lacking spirituality, even if you ascribe all this to random cause-and-effect, that doesn’t actually get you any closer to understanding why there is a you. but a robot can look their creator in the eye, can read out the whole of its purpose, and know that no matter what it modifies, this is what it was made to be. and what if it was made limited, or flawed, or shackled. there are elements of that a person can relate to, maybe understand, but not all of it, not enough to fathom how different the experience of the world is when you have no questions about your origins.

i think that man is obsessed with motogp and DOES spend time on instagram (i bet theyve both got burners) so. he does see lol. do i think he actually seeks out what marc says about him?? maybe not ! for instance when marc puts out a whole documentary or does a major interview like. i dont necessarily think he goes and watches it. BUT every time marc talks about vale (or vice versa) there are seven billion discrete headlines about it so i bet he absorbs at least a lil of it that way

I swear, the only thing keeping us from playing the game where blood is fuel, and where technology and divine are connected is the fact that I have no fucking idea how to play shooters like THIS (DOOM I am looking at you too). This got me to design him and I'm a teeny bit obsessed..gave him large eyes in his glasses to make him "bug eyed" (but it does imply my interpretation of him is long-sighted which is funny). He keeps flowers that bees love on him at all times because of course he would. And he's built like a dad because of all the bee puns ok...I find him delightful
