vague DP x Noragami crossover time~

Hiyori is terrified of Danny; something about him rubs her so so wrong. She tries her best to be nice, but she is the equivalent of a shivering chihuahua puppy in his midst. Danny feels kinda bad about that, but he can't really turn it off without turning human so he tries to stay as calm as possible around her.

Yukine, on the other hand, loves him. He thinks Danny's so cool and keeps bugging him about stuff from America and trying to show off how much he knows about the culture (a very impressive amount actually), and goes nuts seeing all the things Danny can do with his ghost powers. Danny feels the same about Yukine, gushing about his Shinki abilities and urging him into telling stories about his adventures and Japanese culture. These two become good friends.

Yato is kind of indifferent, and then the tiniest bit jealous once Yukine starts looking up to Danny. After getting to know him a little more, Danny has a hard time believing someone like Yato is a real "god".

It doesn't take long for Yukine to start looking up to Danny, just seeing how easily Danny can take care of Ayakashi (named "Phantoms" in the anime, heh) impressed Yukine enough to ask for advice. Thus, Yato's "oh hey potentially a customer!" doesn't last more than a day or two.

Danny does accidentally hang out with Hiyori in human form, and she does not recognize him in the slightest. She also isn't afraid of him at all in human form.

Important note: Danny, to this trio, only know him as "Phantom"

Side idea: I,,, am gonna be honest, I dunno how the naming system would work realistically, but somehow with some word, Yato gets cut off from saying the whole word of something and Danny gets a funny feeling in his chest! By the time he feels two hands holding him tightly, he realizes that he is A) not in ghost form, B) not in human form, and C) he was-

"A Thermos?" Yato asked. "Bit of a random item, but- HOLD ON YOU'RE A SHINKI?!"

Danny did not, in fact, know he was a Shinki.

The idea is: Yato, being a "god of calamity" (if this isnt actually true, F to me), and Danny, being... whatever the hell amalgamation of ecto-energy and ghost shit and human being that he is- they both sort of? overlap? If that makes sense. And so, even though Yato did not intend to call a Shinki, nor did he know Danny was a Shinki (and that he had apparently bestowed a name at some point and completely forgotten about except- that's impossible what the fuck) he had none the less a new Shinki in his possession. One that turned into a thermos.

Idk how this would go plotwise, but Yato would immediately turn around and go "hey, Yukine, isn't this great? We can use Danny to keep food warm in the winter-!" and then he gets wrestled to the ground by Hiyori of all people, who was previously keeping a good distance between her and Danny and also panicking a little bit because it seemed like his smell completely disappeared what-

And Danny is just "what the fuck what the fuck what the fuck" and "did my parents sell me to the calamity god at some point???"

The answer he gets is no, but he's never totally sure and is always suspicious about it.

Some more notes:

-> He freaks out Hiyori because he smells like an Ayakashi

-> Yukine is a little bit drawn to him due to their similar (enough) circumstances.

-> Yato doesn't give much of a shit beyond the usual, at first, because he's used to the presence of death and Ayakashi near him. And Danny's existence isn't much of a surprise to him after hanging out with a sort-of Ayakashi (Hiyori) for so long.

-> After transforming into a Shinki for Yato, Danny can, in fact, blight him! When he changes back to his non-thermos self though, he does not blight Yato.

-> Danny offers to teach Yukine math one (1) time when Hiyori is unavailable and it ends with both of them getting repeat lessons. Danny thinks its a rip-off that he's not in school and yet he's still doing homework.

She’s bored shitless. Not a damn thing to do or anyone around for her to annoy. The quietness is making her a little stir crazy, even her phone is bone dry, not that she bothered texting or calling anyone. The blonde visored had been her room majority of the day. The only exceptions were her eating then going to the bathroom. Okay maybe she dabbled in playing some video games, but even that was getting dull as balls.

Of all the times to be jealous, now is not one of them. Not when you have so much at stake, when everything seems to be unraveling from carefully made plans to absolute chaos (thanks in no small part to the antics of your beloved captain) ㅡ you don't have time for things as petty as jealousy.

And yet it continues to rear its ugly head, glittering green serpent eyes as it coils low in your stomach, despite your attempts to focus on anything but that.

It doesn't help that Hiyori is beautiful, with connections that you could never dream of having ㅡ in short, she is everything that you are not. And as bitter of a taste as it sours your mouth with at the thought of it, you can't blame Zoro for liking her.

"Maybe you're better off," Sanji tells you, because he's aware of how you feel ㅡ as is the entirety of the crew, perhaps sans Luffy and definitely sans Zoro. You've not been overly obvious about it, but it's clear if he cared to truly pay attention ㅡ and clearly he hasn't. "Guy is an idiot anyways."

"He's not an idiot, Sanji." The blond cook stares, and you look away. "It's fine. Not like it matters, I never said anything anyways."

"Said what?" You tense at the sound of Zoro's voice behind you, turning to find the swordsman glancing between you and Sanji, the way your expression closes off.

"Nothing," you say, and he tracks your movement as you step past him before he follows you, curious as to what you'd been talking to Sanji about.

"Did I do somethin'? You're acting weird." How painfully oblivious can one man be? You wonder if he's truly as clueless as he comes off, or if this is a subtle attempt to hammer home the point. He's not yours. Never has been, and now ㅡ never will be.

"No," you answer at last, watch the aimless drift of sakura petals on the breeze. "You didn't do anything at all."

"Are you that much of an idiot?" Zoro bristles at Sanji's verbal barb, eye narrowing as the cook glowers at him. "It's amazing that any lady looks at you!"

"Watch it! Last time I checked it was you who throws himself at anything that breathes like a damn fool!"

"We're not talking about me, mossbrain." Sanji's tone is sharp. "If you're really this oblivious to what happens around you, I feel even worse for [Name]."

Zoro blinks, then scowls. "What do you mean by that?"

Sanji hopes that you'll forgive him, that he'll spend forever apologizing if this doesn't go well ㅡ but gods above, someone needs to give this dumbass swordsman a kick in the right direction.

"She likes you, you moron." Sanji exhales, giving Zoro a withering stare. "How do you think she felt seeing you cuddled up with Hiyori like that?"

"It wasn't like that, damn it!" Zoro snaps. "[Name] knows that, doesn't she?"

Sanji scoffs. "You don't know shit about women, mosshead. All I can say is you better figure out what to say to her."

Zoro stews about it for the better part of an hour before he goes to find you. He'd thought it clear he had no feelings for Hiyori, that her sleeping on him had happened after he drifted off. But apparently not, if it's upsetting you.

There's also the fact that you like him ㅡ when had that happened? How long have you ㅡ

"Zoro?" Your voice pulls him from his thoughts to find you watching him, expression somewhere between fond exasperation and confusion. "Did you get lost again?"

"No, Iㅡ" He halts, struggling for words. "I was looking for you."

"For me?" Your head tilts with the jingle of the gold kanzashi in your hair, delicate strings of beads swaying with the movement. "Is something wrong?"

If he were that stupid cook, it'd be easier. He could wax poetic about how pretty you look ㅡ but he's not good at that kind of thing, knows he'd make a bigger fool out of himself.

The cool press of your palm makes him jolt as he snaps a hand up to catch your wrist, and you frown. "You're scaring me a little, so I thought maybe you had a fever, butㅡ"

His grip tightens, and Zoro yanks. He's never been skilled with words the way he is with swords, always better at showing than saying ㅡ so he hopes the press of his lips to yours says enough.

There's some satisfaction to be had at the flush of your cheeks when he pulls away, other hand pressing to your mouth. "But Hiyoriㅡ"

He scoffs. "I don't like her, and it wasn't like that."

Your expression shifts to something like relief. "Oh. And you kissing me?"

"Thought that'd be obvious." He pulls you close again, this time gentler, tone softer. "Do I need to repeat myself?"

Your eyes glitter with mischievous light. "Maybe."

He's all too happy to oblige.

Monster Trio w/ a Jealous S/O who Decides to Take Revenge

Luffy:

Boa Hancock was definitely in love with Luffy.  Everyone could see it, except for Luffy.

He just kind of let it happen.  He didn’t flirt back or anything, but that is what pissed you off!

So you kept thinking of how to get revenge and Nami told you to spend time with someone he could not stand.  You wrecked your brain trying to think of people he didn’t like, when all of a sudden he walked right by you.  Kid!

You spent your time with him at the pirate festival ignoring Luffy.  Kid was actually super fun to spend time with.  You both had a lot of hobbies and interests in common, so it was actually kind of fun

Luffy wasn’t really bothered.  Flirting wasn’t really something he understood, so your plan backfired.  He asked you when you and Jaggy became friends.

Even after explaining your revenge plan to him, Luffy really didn’t understand what was going on, so you did all that work for nothing.

Well, at least you made a new friend in Kid.

And a new enemy in Boa Hancock.

Zoro:

Hiyori and Zoro woke up together and of course you had to walk into the room with Brook and see it.

You decide to get revenge and make him jealous.  So you decide to get cozy with the one person he can’t stand, Sanji.

You hung out with Sanji all day.  Telling him how sweet he was and how much you enjoyed being with him and how much better he was than Marimo.

Zoro was so annoyed but knew you wouldn’t listen to him, so he sent your new arch rival, Hiyori, to talk to you.

She explained that it was only for body warmth and that she would not step on your toes.

You went to find Zoro and told him you were sorry and that you didn’t really like Sanji like you liked him.

He was happy and gave you a passionate kiss.

Then he went and found Sanji.  We all know how that was going to end.

Sanji:

Sanji is one of the biggest flirts.  If you are a beautiful woman, he’s flirting with you.

One day you were just done with it all and you knew you needed to get back at him for this

You were really good friends with Zoro (much to Sanji’s dismay) so you asked him for a favor.  Be all flirty with you for the day and you’ll let him have your share of Sake at dinner.

You two spent the whole day spending time with Zoro, taking naps together, talking, training, etc.

Sanji was NOT liking this.  No one out like HIS GIRL more that him

At one point, Sanji could take it and the two men got into their usual fights.  Saying that Zoro need to back off because he was better to you and he could love you better

This was your queue.  You jumped into action and explained the whole situation to Sanji while Zoro laughed at how dumb the cook was.

Sanji promised to try a little harder to not flirt, but no matter how much he flirted, none of them were as great as you.

But, he could not promise you that he wouldn’t beat up your swordsman bff after he was done

-Many around were in shock, stunned with wide eyes but at the same time, they were admiring you, you took no disrespect and you slapped a god to the floor, not caring in the slightest that it was done in front of witnesses.

Leonidas couldn’t help but grin, wiping the tears from his eyes, he knew you could handle yourself, but if you came to him, he had no issues putting someone in their place.

-Stars in his eyes, birds circling his head, and ringing in his ears were all he could recall. Sanji screaming in the middle of the street of Wano got your attention, wrong moment. You were wondering where on Earth did Zoro end up and there he was. A girl hanging from his neck.

Is not his fault you thought.

Is not his fault. The words kept flying in your head like an endless spiral, making your head feel like it was weighting too much for your body to stand up.

Is not his fault. That was the last thing you had in mind before falling asleep that night.

The picture of Zoro and that girl was hunting you down, it was always on the back of your mind no matter what. Even when you had to think about the plan and the plan only.

It was stronger than you. The feeling that was eating you from the inside did not stop for a second, because when it did, somehow, your mind was pulling you back at that day.

You and your friends were all, almost all, gathered together after a long time all over the Land Of Wano and you were happy about it… for three seconds because Kappa talked about how Hiyori, you learned her name was that, wanted to give Zoro the sword that was once Oden-sama’s property.

You scoffed at the mention of her name, not that you meant to, it just happened without your control. No one but one person noticed.

“Are you okay?” He whispered, you jumped out of your skin at the sudden question. “Is just me, chill. So, are you okay?” He asked once again.

“Yep” you answered, putting some distance between the two of you. “Everything is totally fine” you added.

“Are you sure?” The man said getting closer to you, to which you moved a little bit away from him. He looked at you confused and then closed the distance once again.

“Sure” you couldn’t look at him, not when spitting lies after lies.

“Uhm, okay. Then why are you moving away from me?” He said and you noticed that you had moved away from his presence once again. This time without even realizing.

“I didn’t notice I was doing that” another lie and once again Zoro came closer to you.

This little game between the two of you ended up when you were butt on the ground and everyone looked your way. You assured your friends and allies everything was fine. Zoro on his side was laughing, subtly, but still laughing.

You got lost in his laugh, you missed it. It has been since that day in Saboady when Bartolomeo Kuma decided to teleport each one of you somewhere different. It was before Luffy’s loss that you had heard him laugh. It has been since that day you opened up to him and you two started to spend more time together. His laugh belonged to the past but for some seconds to the present too.

You came back to reality thanks to Zoro flicking your forehead with as much strength as to not kill you.

“What where you thinking?” He said, now standing up in front of you. “And don’t lie to me. I know when you lie” he said.

You were debating if you should have told him about the situation or not but you got saved when the old man with the red mask came back with a black box. You imagined it was the katana’s box, and you were right.

Zoro took the one with the purple case and look at it. He was admiring the weapon with such love and eagerness to use it and make it his. You couldn’t take your eyes off of him in his natural habitat, trying out a new sword.

That day Zoro seemed to have forgot about your little conversation and you were so glad about it. Now you had to time to think of a proper lie to tell him.

The next couple of days leading to the big battle against Kaido you only trained and trained as if nothing else mattered. From time to time you would stop, too tired to even stand up and it was in moments like those that you would check up on Zoro, making sure he was fine and if he needed anything.

“Green looks good on you.” He said one day out of nowhere. You stopped hitting the bamboos and waited for him to explain why he said what he just said. “I’m serious. I should make you jealous more often.”

You yelled at him and threw a dagger his way, which he obviously dodged. Looking at you he smirked and you had to find all the strength in your body to not start a fist fight with him.

“And of who should I be jealous of? Come on tell me.” He said her name and once again you scoffed unintentionally. “Totally not jealous of her.” He kept relating her name, and you had to admit it. You were totally jealous.

“Just say it. You are jealous of Hiyori.” He was teasing you, but he was right, you were and there was no way to avoid it. You repeated, voice soft and low, his words. He laughed and picked you up. You fought a little to get down but the swordsman was too strong and stubborn to let you go. “Now you will se there is no reason to be jealous of her.” You giggled.

That night he made you feel loved and the most important thing in this world. That night it was just you and him. No war, no nothing. Just you two.

• Buggy asked a lot of questions as a child, was the reigning CHAMPION of "why". Including being told "you're a boy".

Roger at that point goes hmmmm, and just shrugs. "Well, you could! The kind of body you have is most common with boys, but I bet some girls have bodies like that too."

• Buggy grew up surrounded by men and fellas and dudes. The interactions with women were sparse, limited, and always temporary. The closest to a recurring feminine presence was Rouge, a few gals on Whitebeard's crew, and eventually Toki.

• Rayleigh treated it like smth of a flight of fancy. He thought she was doing it because of smth else, so he tried pulling the whole "come to me in a year. If you still wish you were a girl, we'll talk then." It's unintentionally a pretty damaging thing, especially because Rayleigh even refuses to let her grow her hair out. It's during Buggy hissing, screaming, crying to get out of the mandatory hair cuts that Roger learns about it. Shanks went running for him.

• speaking of Shanks, he's the poster child for Ride Or Die. Buggy's shy about shopping but wants a dress? He's coming up with disguises. Buggy wants to present femme on ship but is scared of being made fun of? Shanks is putting on the MOST outlandish outfit he can and has 16842084 plans to make a ruckus. Buggy wants to experiment with her makeup? He's got a PhD in Hype Man Studies, from the University Of Besties.

• Buggy exploring her gender leads to Shanks exploring his own. He's a guy, he's comfortable with that, but he's also among the many who swear by maxi skirts bc those are COMFY holy shit. He's just a dude who sometimes wears a skirt.

• someone once made a side remark about Buggy being on the crew during a fight, they call her an it and thing.

Their head hits the ground just seconds afterwards.

• Whitebeard and Roger have semi-regular fight dates, like playdates but worse, after which the crews hang out and party. The one after Buggy comes out and has gotte some more confidence, she is bouncing around the crews, all big grins and talking to the girls and getting fussed over, or she's playing with the younger crew members and Shanks. He take one look at Buggy, beaming with her tiny little pigtails, her leggings, the mini skirt, blouse, and boots. He opens his mouth.

"We can't steal her, pops."

"But we could...!"

• Toki and Oden half adopt Buggy and Toki is adamant on passing down the Wano Rites to Buggy as well. Momo and Hiyori may be Wano's by blood, but Buggy is Wano's by soul and Toki refuses to let this girl slip through the cracks.

• Roger once heard someone call Buggy weak for being a girl and was ready to step in to handle it when Buggy just... goes feral. She beats the ever loving snot outta the guy, ends it with a "how's THAT for weak, dickbag!!"

He has to wipe away a tear. He's so proud.

• both cabin kids had special nicknames, and the main ones used by Roger for them are:

Shanks as the Red Menace (Menace)

Buggy as Pirate Princess (often just Princess)

((Both of them have those tattooed in their adulthood))

• Rouge meets Buggy and Shanks pre-coming out, greets them post like "hey boys!" Buggy corrects her hesitantly. Rouge is silent for a moment, turns on her heel, leaves, and immediately pops back, going "hey brats!!" Buggy had a moment of terror which then became relief-annoyance-embarassment-gratitude. Shanks just went from 🙂 to 😡 to 😃.

• Teach had a puppy crush on Buggy, which made her ALL KINDS of uncomfortable. She hated him from the start.

• she would put up with it tho on occasion for Missions. Nothing big, but when Rayleigh or someone else annoyed her and the crews were close, she'd run away to Whitebeard's crew and he'd help her gaslight the FUCK out of the other's. Just. Her in his lap, Roger in the fetal position on the deck like "pleeeaaassseee gimme my babbyyyyyyyy-"

Buggy, fighting an evil lil grin, turns to whitebeard like, "pops, is the weird man, okay?"

"I don't know, my girl, but don't mind him - my old friend here is an odd one."

"Okay, papa."

Roger makes a sound like a dying whale.

• Shanks bought Buggy a fancy custom hair piece for her birthday with matching earrings. Buggy then grabbed him by the collar and manhandled him beneath her to put one in his ear. He still wears it to this day. She wears the other one.

• Buggy is quick to crush, slow to LOVE, which was AGONY because Roger, Rayleigh, Gaban, Oden and Bullet were all varying g levels of WILDLY OVER PROTECTIVE. On the one hand - she's growing up 🥰. On the other? She's growing up!!!! 😨

• Bullet was frankly one of the WORST. Buggy was, to him, Baby Sister. Shanks was Baby Brother. Nobody, repeat NOBODY, was good enough for his little siblings. He and Roger were on the same page there. It led to some frankly mortifying yet hilarious hijinks.

• Roger was the type of man to get drunk and become COMPLETELY over the top with the love and affection. Buggy and Shanks were equal opportunity snuggle buddies, against their wishes. Shanks would wriggle to get to the booze himself. Buggy would just go limp and whine.

• the first time Buggy met Iva, she was starry eyed and scared. Roger held her hand the whole time, even as he threatened Ivankov with every single thing he could imagine, all sweet faced and menacing. That was how they found out Buggy's Devil fruit made her immune to piercings as well. She'd have to transition the old fashioned way, and use seastone for injections or sutures.

• Buggy actually cried that day.

• Crocus then requested Iva let him have a sample of their feminizing hormone to try his hand at synthesizing for Buggy. It never worked.

• Buggy goes on to find ways of transitioning that she can actually safely do, and Iva even goes on to reach out to other medical professionals to find options. If one girl couldn't be helped with their Devil fruit, who else was there? Who else needed the extra assistance? It inadvertly starts a wave in the medical community.

Review: I have so many thoughts about this manga! It's doomed yuri and has horror elements! The characters are also very well written! I highly recommend this! However I do recommend looking up the trigger warnings before reading this.

Just. Omfg imagine Toki and Buggy bonding SO MUCH and Toki is the one who helps Buggy find Her Style and Her Confidence. Oden also has Big Himbo Dad Emergy too, so I bet he'd just be like ":000 a GIRL! WONDERFUL!!! I shall have TWO daughters!"

Roger ofc takes big offense to that and it becomes a shipwide brawl over who gets to be her dad, and Buggy is just laughing, crying, pickpocketing everyone. Only like. Three fellas even have the driving NEED to call her their daughter, they just love the chaos. Shanks is just left GAPING bc ofc he loves Buggy, he always has, always will, but the way she was smiling, the way she's just beaming at the acceptance, no matter how dramatic it is - by Davy Jones, it steals his breath away.

Whatever you do tho, don't imagine Toki dressing Buggy up in traditional Wano attire. Don't imagine Toki taking on the role of aunt or big sister and sharing this culture with Buggy. Teaching her the ways of warriors from her homeland, the codes and dress and recipes. Don't imagine Toki telling Buggy "family secrets" like recipes, fighting styles, etc. Don't imagine Toki just easily saying that of course Buggy needs to know these things! Blood is but the fluid of life, and love is what makes a family - and Buggy has so much love to give, so much to receive, and Toki calls her a child of Wano in heart and soul, in all the ways that matter should Buggy want that.

And Buggy, who has only ever wanted to BELONG, oh she accepts without hesitation.

Leaving Toki behind was hard, but she gifts Buggy an heirloom of sorts, a hair piece that she keeps either tucked under her beanie or safe in a chest, anchored to the floor of her room ((or hidden carefully with Devil Fruit powers)).

The day Toki manages to make/get a suitably sized kimono for Buggy, maybe for a party on the ship, maybe a birthday celebration ((and here I insert my Wano Culture Headcanons, that there's a birthday where children transition to young adults, and it's similar to a quinceñera but different, partially because it's done at 13, and then a second one at 18, a five year period of growth, life compared to butterflies, and so Toki convinces the crew to do these for the Cabin Kids-))

Buggy comes out, hair done, kimono flawless and bright and bold and so very her, a quiet joy on her face, and the crew is FLABBERGASTED.

Roger is sobbing.

Rayleigh has suddenly aged 20 years because oh shit oh gods she's going to be beautiful as an adult, oh damn it all he's gonna have to beat men off of her-

Shanks is caught between swooning, wanting to tackle her, and remembering just how the heck breathing works.

((Roger, Rayleigh, Crocus and Oden do rock paper scissors to get the first dance with her, and it dissolves into a fist fight somehow. Shanks gets involved and bites them. Toki takes the first dance.))

I have. So many emotions about transfem Buggy, bestie, send help it's all my brain can think about.

It's okay, I miss hot weather because here in Spain I am freezing and I am a spring child. My spiritual flower is a sunflower. I need the SUN. I NEED TO GO INTO THE FLAMES. So I'll stay there happily.

Please, Toki would so adopt Buggy. And Oden would be THRILLED. He'll see them getting along and he'd instantly say they look like mother and daughter. Buggy would be shy about it but Toki would probably laugh and say "Oh! Do we really? What do you think, Bugs?" and it's just,, So sweet,, Oden loves her a lot and he can't wait to see his Hiyori grow up too. Roger would be FURIOUS when he hears that because he "found her first" which, you know, true, but it's a weird way of saying that's his daughter. Anyway- Rayleigh would be so fucking done with everything. They'd fight about it and Buggy would actually have the time of her life because she feels important and flashy for once in a long time, and she'd laugh oh so beautifully at them when talking with Shanks about it in their room. Like she'd just laugh at the situation and Shanks is still not getting used to his very very not platonic feelings for his best friend. But he'd enjoy his time with her. He's just going a bit insane.

I can't stop thinking now about Buggy finally finding a place to belong. She's been lost for so long,, Feeling left out. And now Toki has gifted her with the most precious treasure there is: A home. Belonging. And I am so so emotional right now. Toki would be so proud of her and Buggy would just be so thankful. If Buggy called her 'mom' at some point, she'd feel embarrassed right away, but Toki would probably fight the tears and hug her close. Going crazy, really. All the men in Buggy's life fighting for her first dance,, Rayleigh just knows he'll have to fight all the men that hurt his precious star. And Shanks is starting to think about that too and the thought of Buggy dating somebody else makes him sick, so perhaps he needs to start with a plan to confess finally (he's so asking Toki about it. I'm gonna cry). Roger crying because he wants to enjoy every second he has left with her... It kills me.

I just know that to this day, Buggy still thinks about Toki as her mom. She never mentions it to anybody, but she feels such a strong connection to Wano and she's dying to go there finally someday. She might have not been born there, but her soul belongs there. And it's just so sweet. I am sobbing, thank you. Every time she does her hair, she feels Toki's hands instead of hers and she remembers everything she taught her,,,

Now I have on my mind a very silly Shuggy thought about Shanks trying to flirt with Buggy but failing miserably (because he's a kid and he only knows how to tease her or follow Roger's advice which are, um, not good) and Buggy just being so done and exhausted. She can't stand him! He's so annoying! Sometimes she doesn't know if she wants to punch him or kiss him! And she doesn't even know if Shanks likes her back because he keeps acting stupid. And she goes to Toki for advice and she's like "oh, darling... Men are stupid. Do you know why you felt smarter than them when you were unaware of being a girl? Well, one of the reasons is that Shanks is a kid. He's dumb. But he loves you and cares so much for you... He's just having a hard time trying to make his way to your heart" / "But he-! He's so damn- Ugh. He's such an idiot. He already did, and he just doesn't know because he can't see it and I can't stand him-" / "Well, maybe you should be the one telling him, huh?" / "What?! No! And give him the satisfaction of thinking I fell first?! I'd rather die. No. He has to make the first move". And now Toki is involved (like the rest of the crew because Shuggy is a whole teen drama) in their love story because Buggy keeps complaining about men being stupid and Shanks keeps saying he doesn't get how Buggy can't see he's in love with her.

Your hair was tied back with a black cap covering your head. Over your eyes laid a pair of dark shades and a mask to cover your mouth. This was the perfect disguise for you to go see your boyfriend at his meet and greet. After all, you were an idol at the same agency he was in, so you had to be careful about being recognised by his fans.

However, what you really came dressed in was not the disguise you should've gone for, but a casual outfit instead. Sure, you still covered your head with a cap, but your whole face was exposed which could lead to trouble.

You thought otherwise though because despite being a popular idol at Cos Pro, you were still going to attend a meet and greet for Eve, a unit that attracts all eyes. So, you didn't need to worry about being recognised as everyone's attention would be only on them. You doubted anyone would look your way if the Hiyori Tomoe and Jun Sazanami were in the same room as them.

You entered the line, awaiting your turn to meet Eve. For some reason, the idea of being here as a fan when you were an idol was absolutely nerve-racking. Maybe you should've gone in disguise? It was too late now as the line started moving forward, yet thankfully enough, as you expected, no one batted an eye at you.

And despite feeling so nervous, you felt a sensation of excitement brew in you. You were going to see your boyfriend from a different perspective! This is so exciting! you thought to yourself happily. I can't wait to see him!

You hummed a little tune to yourself as you watched fans squeal in delight as they readied themselves to shake their favourite idols' hands.

The venue was crowded with girls which wasn't a surprise to you since Eve catered towards that demographic, but a part of you couldn't help but feel a little bit jealous when Jun would dish out his attention to them. At the same time, you were proud of him. He looked so happy and fulfilled to be given such love for his hard work. It was his dream to become an idol, so seeing him smile so brightly like this only made your heart flutter.

"Thank you for supporting me and Eve," he said politely, shaking a fan's hand firmly. "I appreciate it so much."

"O-Of course!" they would bashfully reply, a slight blush appearing on their cheeks. "I will always be your fan!"

You sighed contently at this. You were nearing the front of the line now, so you readied yourself as you stepped in front of the dark blue-haired boy.

Before you could greet him though, his eyes widened at your figure in front of him.

"(Y/N), w-what are you doing here?" he hissed worriedly. "You're not even wearing a mask! Did anyone recognise you? I hope you didn't get harassed... I'll call security later to escort you out, but you shouldn't..."

Despite the shock in his eyes, you could see how they lit up when he saw you.

"Don't worry, Jun," you whispered back. "No one recognised me!"

He sighed but smiled. "Alright, let's get this over with. Take my hands."

You placed your hands in his. As expected, they were calloused and rough, but at the same time, soft. Your boyfriend shook your hands gently, but his grip was tight as if he didn't want to let you go.

"Thank you for coming here to visit me!" he exclaimed. "I appreciate your support so much!"

His usual lines. He really was taking this seriously so that no one would spot you.

You grinned, then said, "Jun, I'm so proud of you. Do you know exactly why I'm here? I'm here to tell you that you've been doing such a good job getting to this point. You've worked so hard and it's admirable. I hope that you keep at it, that life continues to treat you well."

He looked at you dazed, but his eyes glistened. He wasn't sure if it was the lights that had him squinting like this, but your words did take an emotional toll on him.

"And remember that you're loved," you continued.

At that point, he knew that it was you – the reason why his eyes started to water. Your words touched his heart, and hearing them from you made it all worthwhile that he was here, existing, as an idol.

"T-Thank you..." he stammered out. "I really am happy that you're here, (Y/N)–"

"20 seconds left!" reminded one of employees.

"My time's nearly up, Jun," you stated. "Have a good rest of your day. I love you."

You whispered the last part, but only for Jun to hear. Thankfully, he caught it amid chatter.

"I love you too," he whispered back.

"Next!"

You unlinked your hands from Jun's, then stepped away from the table to chat with Hiyori. Jun continued his job greeting the next fans in line, but from the corner of his eye, he kept looking at you, hoping that you, his lover, would have a good day too.
