stanford era art having a bad day (maybe he failed a test or something, nothing too serious) but he gets really upset (like he’s gonna cry) so when he gets back to his dorm patrick is there (cuz he’s visiting) and patrick wants to take care of art, see what art needs but art is like “please just fuck me” or something along those linessss
Hello my love, thank you for the prompt <3 This got crazy long for some reason. Just needed Art wandering about feeling sorry for himself lol
CW: 18+ !NSFW!
—-
It’s frustrating, he’s never ever failed a test before. Particularly in math. It’s not like he wants to be a math major or an engineer or anything but he’s been in advanced math since he was 14 years old, he should be able to handle this.
He tries not to cry as the professor goes over the results of their calculus based physics exam and the other students in the class are answering questions, demonstrating their work like it’s easy. Meanwhile he’s struggling to understand it. He talks to the professor after class and the professor is understanding but he explains, “these are the basics, the class is only going to get more difficult. So I suggest you withdraw and retake it after you take a more fundamental calculus course?”
Art nods and forces a smile, his throat burning as his professor pats him on the arm.
“It’s okay, plenty of students go that route and still become architects and engineers. There’s nothing wrong with it.”
Art is barely aware as he treks back to his dorm. He’s never flunked out of a class. And yes, math is one of his more challenging subjects but he’s always been able to work hard enough to figure it out. Working hard is his one talent. It’s how he ended up as one of the best students at Mark Reballato, salutatorian. He used to be the one to tutor his classmates. He aced every AP and Honors course. He’d studied so hard and done so well on the SATs and yet these kids at Stanford are actual child prodigies and geniuses…and for some of them it’s like… it’s like they don’t even have to try.
By the time he gets back to his room his eyes are full of tears. Why can’t he fucking excel at anything? Why can’t he be the prodigy for once? Why does he always have to try so fucking hard?
He knows his roommate won't be home until evening and he’s so ready to throw himself on his bed and sob like a loser but as he pushes open the bedroom door he remembers Patrick is visiting. He’s there on Art’s bed watching The View, of all things, and talking on the phone with his sister.
He waves, grinning but pauses when he sees Art’s face. Art can’t even hide it, it’s too late. Tears spill from his eyes and he drops his book bag in his chair.
“Hey Tor I’ll call you back,” Patrick says, into the phone.
Art wipes the tears away quickly, angry that they’re there in the first place.
“Hey! What’s wrong?” Patrick asks.
Art shakes his head. “Nothing.”
”Seriously? You look like a kicked puppy. Come on, tell me what’s wrong. Is it your grandma… or… or tennis?”
”No Patrick, you just… you wouldn’t understand.” He knows Patrick wouldn’t take this seriously. Patrick’s just another prodigy. All their coaches telling him how brilliant he’s been at tennis since they were 11. And Tashi too, a once in a generation talent, that’s what they’re calling her.
“Try me,” Patrick says. Art stares at him. He’s lying across the width of Art’s single bed, back resting up against the wall. He’s in his boxers still, legs open, his muscular thighs spread out. Hands folded inside the Stanford t-shirt he borrowed from Art. His penetrating gaze is resting on Art and he looks concerned. And so fucking hot.
Art rubs his eyes again. He’s frustrated and angry but now he’s feeling… horny. He probably should’ve thought twice before having sex with his best friend. Everything is all silly now. He’s not sure why he did it. Well actually, he was trying to fuck with Patrick, see if he could ruin his relationship with Tashi.
He didn’t even think Patrick would go for it, just mentioned it casually on Patrick’s birthday but he came back a couple days later with all these different kinds of lube and condoms and they spent a long rainy afternoon trying to figure it all out. Exploring different positions, techniques, playing with each other. Now they're doing it all the time and the whole thing backfired because Art’s the one craving it. He walks between Patrick’s legs. “Can you fuck me?”
Patrick raises his eyebrows. “Really?”
Art shrugs.
Patrick sits forward. “Yeah. Sure.” He says, the ghost of a smirk on his mouth. “It’s so early for you. You usually like it when I buy you dinner first.”
Art digs the heels of his palms into his eyes as stupid tears drop down again.
“Art, seriously…are you okay?” Patrick asks, tentatively. “I can help… tell me how to help.”
“I’m fine. It’s nothing,” Art says, and he climbs onto the bed. Straddling him. “Just fuck me.”
Patrick grips him by the waist. “Mmkay, I can do that.” He says, unzipping Arts pants. He tugs Arts jeans down over his thighs and Art steps out of them. Then he’s lifting his t-shirt over his head and climbing back onto Patrick’s lap.
Patrick touches his face, rubs a thumb along the wet space on Arts cheeks. “Did someone hurt you?” He asks softly.
“No, Patrick please, I don’t want to talk about it.” Art whines. His brain is freaking out because of the tenderness and the last thing he needs is to freak out over his feelings for Patrick too.
“Alright,” Patrick says and he kisses Art. And kisses him again. Art licks at his lips and pushes his tongue inside.
He can feel Patrick getting hard underneath him as they make out. It’s so much and it happens so fast, Arts dizzy for it. “That’s a neat trick,” Art whispers. Grinding his hips against the sensation.
“That’s what you do to me,” Patrick sighs against his lips.
Art smiles. Maybe he sucks at math now but at least he’s still good at this.
“Need you lubed up,” Patrick hums. Art gets up and crawls over to his bedside table. He can feel Patrick’s large palm rubbing on the swell of his bottom as he’s bent over. Art’s got all this stuff he has to hide when his parents are in town now. He pulls lubricant out and while Patrick’s putting it on his cock Art lingers on the bed, playing with his waistband, watching while the ladies on The View are arguing about something.
“You can turn it off, my sister wanted me to watch Phil Collins perform or something,” Patrick says, distractedly.
“Okay fuck me while he performs or something.” Art says.
Patrick smirks. “Fuck, you really need to cry don’t you?”
Art takes a breath.
“Okay sorry,” Patrick says gently, “Can you lay down?”
Art settles onto his back. Keeps his legs open as Patrick crawls between and takes his boxers down. “Mm, what time does your roommate get back?”
“Later,” Art says.
“I don’t have to keep you quiet then,” Patrick smiles.
Art chews on his thumb as Patrick lines himself up to press it inside. He’s all lubed up but Art is just used to the fact that it’s always going to feel like a lot at first. He breathes through the stretch and watches amused as Patrick rubs his at Art’s pelvis. He always does that, trying to feel his own cock penetrating from the outside. “You’re always so fucking tight for me baby. Feels like I didn’t even take your virginity.” Patrick says. It’s all for his ego. He moves down to rub Art’s cock and Art moans. Wraps his legs around Patrick’s waist, wiggling his hips.
“I know, relax, I’m gonna fuck you,” Patrick breathes. He starts sliding it in and out and out and in. Patrick’s had him in so many positions but this is Art’s favorite, he can feel Patrick sinking so much deeper inside him this way. Sees stars on every other thrust and his head empties out quickly. Once he came so hard he swears he had a second orgasm two minutes later. Patrick says he just wasn’t done.
This time it feels blindingly good. He’s feeling so good, he bites down on Patrick’s shoulder to relieve some of the tension. He wonders if Tashi ever notices his marks, the way he notices hers. Sometimes when he’s really turned on he bites where she scratches.
After a few minutes he thinks he’s listening to Patrick moan but realizes belatedly that it’s him. His mouth is watering so much that he’s drooling. Patrick is grunting as his hips slam into Art at a ridiculous pace. Art feels so fucking full, he loves the feeling of Patrick warm and solid inside of him, breaching him. His body lit up like a raw nerve as Patrick hits that delicious tender spot over and over and over. He’s gonna pass out. It sounds so fucking obscene over the sound of the bed springs squeaking and Phil Collins in the background.
Art loses it first, sticky ropes of pearly white shooting out of his cock, covering Patrick’s stomach, dripping back down onto Art’s body. And then it’s too much, Art can feel everything and he’s squirming trying to get away as Patrick picks up the pace.
“No, no don’t run away… two fucking seconds stay here,” Patrick groans, gripping him tightly. It feels insane. It feels so fucking good but it’s too much and his eyes are watering again. Art swears he can honestly feel himself drifting in and out of consciousness. He’s coming again, he knows he’s coming again as Patrick finishes inside him, filling him with wet, heated, sticky cum. Art clenching on him. Keeping him inside.
Patrick’s shivering. “Fuck,” he whispers, collapsing on top of Art like a warm heavy sticky blanket.
“Mm,” Art sighs, rubbing Patrick’s back gently, to calm him down. Patrick groans and rolls off of Art onto his side right next to him. He curls his fingers into Art’s hair.
“You feel better?” Patrick asks, softly.
“Yeah,” Art says quietly. He didn’t really do anything but put it out of his mind for 30 minutes. And now he’s coming back to the reality that he’s only in his second semester of college and he already has to drop a class.
“Feel like telling me what’s wrong?”
Art rolls his eyes and looks up at the ceiling. “It’s stupid. I failed an exam. I studied so fucking hard and I just— everything on the test looked like it might as well have been written in a foreign language. I thought the whole class would have done poorly but it was just me.”
”What class?” Patrick asks.
“Calculus for physics,” Art sighs.
“Sounds really fucking hard,” Patrick says. “You should tell them to fuck off and come with me on the road.”
“I knew you wouldn’t get it,” Art mutters. “You don’t take any of this seriously. I’m not as good at tennis as you are. I’m not fucking good at anything. Like the one thing I thought wouldn’t be difficult which is school work and I can’t even fucking do that properly. I’m gonna have to drop and I’m not even done with my first fucking year.”
Patrick doesnt say anything for a minute, he’s still fingering Art’s curls. Then he takes a breath. “You’re good at a lot of things, Art. You’ve got to stop beating yourself up. I mean… I get it. You were top of your class in high school but all these dorks at Stanford were the best in their high schools too. I was one of the best players but now I’m on tour facing off with the best players in the world and a lot of them are fucking kicking my ass. Just… you know… Tashi always says to have a little perspective. You’re here for a fucking reason. Don’t psych yourself out before the game is over.”
Art hadn’t really thought about that, Patrick has been having a hard time on tour, Art feels a little softer for him now. He rolls over to face him wrapping a leg over Patrick’s thigh. “You think I should stay in the class? Prove them wrong?”
Patrick smiles. “No, what the fuck do you need calculus with physics for anyway?”
Art laughs a bit. “I mean… if I decide to go to med school I’ll need a physics and a calculus class… but I guess I don’t really need this specific course unless I was going to become an engineer.”
“I’ve heard you talk about being a doctor before, never an engineer.” Patrick says, “Fuck that class, find something better to do with your time.”
“Yeah…fuck it,” Art says thoughtfully, he can play with his teammates on the indoor courts in the mornings. He feels so much lighter actually. Patrick is right, he really doesn’t need this course at all. He was just so used to high school, thinking everything put in front of him was something he needed to ace. In college, none of it mattered except for what he needed for his major. Patrick’s tracing circles idly along Art’s thigh. “Mm, something better to do with my time….” Art says, smiling, “You think we can fuck again before my roommate gets home?”
Patrick smirks, “Oh absolutely.”

Once a week, the evening at Blackwell Academy was consumed by loud, bumping house music and drunken teenagers partying like it was their last day on Earth. The Vortex Club, Blackwell's royal family, would commandeer the swimming pool to host their lavish soirees. You had been to a couple, but the noise and the smell of drunk, sweaty teens quickly became unappealing. As the semesters went on, you started leaving campus to avoid the events altogether, deciding to occupy your time studying at the public library, grabbing breakfast for dinner at the Two Whales, or walking the beach. Anything that sounded remotely more interesting.
That night was different. It seemed like you were the only person who didn't want to attend tonight's party, let alone be anywhere near campus. Around 11:30 at night, you decided to pack up your things and return to the dorms for bed. As you pulled into the parking lot of Blackwell, you could already hear the loud music and ever-familiar chatter. you parked your car and turned off the ignition, stepping out into the cool September night air with a slight shiver. The music was intolerably loud, and you realized that, regardless of the time and your distance from the school, you'd still hear it faintly in your dorm that night.
You ran a frustrated hand through your hair as you looked around the parking lot at students coming and going from the party. In the corner of your eye, you noticed a familiar figure, Warren Graham, sitting on the curb, curled in on himself with his head in his arms.
You and Warren had been friends for a while. Science and math were never your strong suit, unlike him. You much preferred writing and the arts to experiments and calculations. When you were freshmen, he helped you when you started to fail biology, tutoring you after school and being your buddy in class. After that, you two started hanging out from time to time. You watched movies, talked about video games and comics, and bonded over your mutual fade-into-the-background-ness back at your home school and, unfortunately, when you guys were accepted to Blackwell as well. However, Warren never faded into the background for you. Even before the two of you became friends, you noticed his presence very quickly. When the sight of his nose wrinkling while he laughed made your heart skip a beat, you realized that maybe you liked him as more than just a friend.
Your expression softened as you approached him. Whatever negativity you harbored toward the party was washed away, now replaced by worry and concern for the boy sitting alone.
"Hey, Warren," you said, softly, crouching to his level. "You okay?"
It was like your words stirred Warren back to consciousness. Not necessarily that he was asleep, but rather that he wasn't all there. Like he was sinking into the ground and hearing your voice was enough to bring him closer to the surface again. He lifted his head like it was too heavy for his neck to support, almost immediately using his shoulder as a rest for his head of dirt-colored hair. A tender, excited smile stretched across his thin lips, making his eyes crinkle ever so slightly and his cheeks lifted with happiness. He looked tired, but behind the fogginess in his eyes, you could see he was happy to see you.
"Hey, you..." he slurred as he tried to sit up a little straighter. "I'm much better now." His words dragged, dripping from his lips in a sing-song, honeyed tone.
You smiled. "Oh yeah? How much have you had to drink?"
Warren looked off for a moment, staring past you rather than directly at you. Slowly, the gears in his head were starting to turn, twisting with each other as he traced his memory back for each shot he had taken along with the handful of beers he had either sipped on or shotgunned. The boy who was usually so good at math was struggling to work out simple addition, the alcohol hindering his intelligence. He looked down at his hands, now counting out on his fingers before he stuck both of them up in the air with a proud smile. While holding down his pointer finger with his thumb on one hand, he expertly determined he had had about eight drinks (which was most certainly a vast overestimation on his part). Your eyes widened at the realization, shaking your head with a sigh.
"That's... a lot," you paused, "Are you sure you're feeling okay?"
"I feel funny. But not bad funny," Warren started, leaning in as his voice dropped to a loud whisper. "I'm so happy you're here. I missed you."
Your cheeks flushed a subtle pink. Under the light of sparse street lamps in the parking lot, it was hard to see but you could certainly feel it. Heat rose through your body as he leaned in. You swallowed, your throat suddenly feeling extremely dry.
"I missed you too." Your tone was soft and genuine. You tried your best to hide your flusteredness, but you knew you were failing. At least he was wasted, you thought. There was no chance Warren could tell in the state he was in. "How about we get you to your dorm?"
The boy huffed, crossing his arms over his chest in protest. "Noooo... I don't want the night to end. I'm not even tired."
"You don't have to go to bed, silly," you tried to convince him. "I just thought you'd want to get out of this boring parking lot."
"Can we watch a movie?" His eyes lit up as he spoke, and his hands found your shoulders.
You nodded with an amused smile, and your body rocked as he shook you. "Sure thing, whatever you want to watch. Now, let's get you up, okay?"
You reached for Warren's hands, taking them in your own as you came to your feet. With a good pull, you were able to get him clumsily on his own. Warren swayed from side to side as he tried to gain his balance again, rocking on his heels.
"You got it?" you asked, keeping your hands out to catch him in case he fell.
"I think so," Warren mumbled, putting a heavy hand on your shoulder to balance himself.
"Here, I got you," you started as you pulled his arm around your shoulders. "We'll do it together."
"You're the best. I'm so lucky you're my friend," he mumbled. His head rested against yours like a heavy stone.
A small laugh slipped through your lips and you nodded —once again grateful for the darkness cloaking your flushed face, as you two started your walk to the boy’s dormitories. With each step you took, Warren struggled to keep himself up, leaning against your body as he put his full weight on you.
"I wish you would have gone..." he murmured, staring ahead with a blank expression.
"Gone where?" you asked.
Warren waved haphazardly with his other hand, trying to motion back to the noise behind you guys. "The party, duh."
You tried to look up at him but couldn't, his head keeping you from meeting his eyes. "I'm sorry. I didn't realize you wanted me there."
"I only ever want to see you," Warren slurred.
Your eyes widened at his words, but you shook it off. You reminded yourself that he was drunk and not completely in control of his words. Plus, Warren was known to be a bit of a drama queen.
"What if I go to the next one with you? Would that make you feel better?"
"Yeah." Within an instant, his tone became lighter, happier.
The music grew quieter the further you got from the party. Straggling students lingered around the courtyard before the dorms, talking amongst each other and seemingly enjoying a break from the excitement of the party. Cricket's song and the breeze through tree branches created an atmosphere that was far more relaxing within the night air. It felt like a whole other world in comparison to the flashing lights and chaos several feet away.
You two sunk into the dorms, and the warmth from inside wrapped around you like an inviting hug. It was close to silent within the hallway as you approached Warren's dorm room.
You reached for the door handle, the knob not budging as you attempted to open the door. "You have your key, right?"
Warren hummed in acknowledgment. He dug into his pocket, lazily pulled the key from his jeans, and handed it to you. You unlocked the door and walked him inside, leading him to his bed so he could sit down. The room was dark before you turned on his bedside lamp. Warren was very much a no-overhead-light-ever kind of person, something we had in common. Warm yellow light illuminated the small space once the lamp was switched on. Along his brick walls were posters of comic book characters, bands, and his favorite movies. A mess of loose papers and clothing was scattered across the floor. As per usual, Warren's room was a wreck but not disgusting. Sure, he'd leave dirty clothes on his floor, but any food waste he had was quickly and efficiently thrown out.
On his windowsill was a line of nursery pots, all with individual tabs labeled with different notes and specimens. Must be an experiment for one of his classes, you thought. His desk was covered in notebooks and textbooks alike, both marked up with sticky notes with some containing actual notes and others being doodles depicting his agony with chemistry. You laughed a little at the sight of it.
Warren let out a soft, content sigh from behind you as he eased himself into his bed. He looked over at you with a lopsided grin. "I haven't thought about the periodic table once tonight. Can you believe that?"
"I can actually. I'm surprised you can think at all after all you've had to drink," you teased, taking a seat beside him on the edge of his mattress. You reached over to untie his Chucks, pulling them from his feet and tossing them to the ground. There was no way you were going to change him, but the least you could do was help him get a little more comfortable.
He sat up beside you, laughing as you picked fun at him. "Hey... can I tell you something?"
You turned to face him and realized he was much closer than you had thought he would be, his face less than a foot away from yours. Your throat went dry as a desert, and you swallowed in an attempt to wet it.
"Of course," you nodded. "You can tell me anything."
"You promise?" Warren mumbled, averting his eyes from yours and focusing on the ground instead. His face was slightly flushed, his freckled cheeks dusted a soft pink.
"I promise." you reaffirmed, looking him up and down questioningly.
"There's been something I've been wanting to tell you, but I've always felt too..." he trailed off, his voice wavering. The alcohol on his breath served as a reminder of just how drunk he really was. "I've always been too nervous to say anything. But I'm not right now."
"Warren, you're drunk," you said, trying to deter him from continuing. A part of you wanted so desperately to know what he had to say, but you knew that once he was sober he'd likely regret telling you. If he'd even remember at all, that was.
Warren whined in a not-so-quiet protest. "I'm not that drunk. I'm feeling pretty sober now."
"You're wasted." You shook your head immediately.
"Please." He leaned in, his face once again rapidly growing closer and closer to yours. "Just let me finish."
Your eyes trailed over his face, fixating on his eyes and his lips. The warm brown of his irises was so inviting and only popped more in contrast to the dark circles forming under his eyes. They were like a warm, light cup of coffee first thing in the morning. His lips were stuck in a small pout of desperation. It was like he had been dying to let something off his chest, like once he said what he needed to everything would be okay forever. Or maybe it wouldn't, but it seemed like that was a risk he was willing to take.
"Warren, I..." The words felt caught in your throat, clinging to your dry tongue for dear life.
"Please," Warren pleaded, staring directly into your eyes now. "I like you. I have for so long and it's been eating me up inside." His words came out in a rushed flurry of emotion. He looked at you intensely, his eyes overflowing with admiration and something you couldn't quite place. "You don't have to say anything... Hell, you don't even have to like me back. I just wanted to tell you..."
"Hey, hey, hey. Slow down," you said, putting a hand on his knee to grab his attention.
Warren's eyes dropped from yours to your hand. His lips parted as he fell silent, staring back at you with uncertainty abundantly clear all over his face. The alcohol in his system made him feel more confident, but not so much that he didn't care about what happened next. You felt bad watching him sit there at the edge of his seat.
"Maybe we should talk about this in the morning? Y'know, when you're more clear-head—" Warren cut you off before you were able to finish.
"No," he insisted, looking you dead in your eyes. "I mean it. You... you gotta believe me."
"I do," you said as you leaned in closer. "I like you too."
"What?"
"I said I like you too." You smiled at him, giving his shoulder a small squeeze. "But right now you're drunk and it's late, and I think we should talk about it more tomorrow, okay? What if we grab breakfast at Two Whales in the morning? Like a date."
"You... you wanna go on a date with me?" Warren's expression was priceless, filled with excitement and disbelief.
You nodded. "Of course I do. The sooner we get to sleep, the sooner we can. So you better get some shut-eye, got it?"
Without a word, Warren was lying on his back and struggling to get under his covers. You couldn't help but laugh as you stood up, leaning over once he was all tucked in and giving him a small kiss on the cheek. His breath hitched and he giggled like a little girl. As Warren started dozing off you searched around the room and situated a quick "hangover kit" for him on his nightstand. He was going to need it in the morning.
"Goodnight, Warren," you said, heading for the door. "Sleep on your side, okay?"
He hummed and turned over so he was facing you. The fight to stay awake was quickly becoming too much for him as his eyes began to slowly flutter closed. "Mhm, goodnight..."
Your gaze drifted to him once more before you stepped out of the room, closing the door behind you. As you walked up the stairs to your dorm, you felt your heart start to swell thinking about the fact that the Warren Graham liked you too. And that you were going on a date with him tomorrow morning. Maybe those Vortex Club parties weren't all bad after all.

nextgen/hpcc characters going to an australian public high school:
rose: follows the social hierarchy to the tee and takes the shit from the year levels above her. but when she gets to year 12 she’s such a fucking menace to the years below her. and she gets her special year 12 amenities like access to the school microwave and toaster and kettle and she takes it very seriously that no one in the younger years can use it. if she had to wait so does everyone else. also she’s school captain and is the one always saying speeches at assembly and at athletics day. thinks she’s politically correct but then will turn around and tease scorpius for stuttering or sum.
albus: kinda unproblematic and keeps to himself but always gets bag checked and sent home for not wearing the right uniform (it’s always something so unserious like wearing a hoodie under his jacket or different socks). never used to actually lock his locker right and people immediately clocked that and stole his lock so its just unprotected. karl jenkins is always ransacking his locker so he barely has anything in it. wagged on formal and wouldve wagged on grad if he could. every time he walks through the school gates he gets swooped by a magpie.
teddy: choofs in the bathroom all the time, offers to share with anyone and everyone so all of the year 8s and 9s think he’s the coolest. only contributes in hums classes, dgaf about anything sciencey or mathy. chronic wagger. andromeda comes to his parent teacher interviews. got viral on tiktok once and people tried to clout chase him. a gazillion extracurriculars. pen ink all over his shirt. shit atar. has to do tafe after high school bc of it.
scorpius: the only one who didn’t fucking flop at specialist maths so the class’ mark didn’t get weighted up and so everyone whose ever shared a class with him hates his ass for it. when albus is absent scorpius tries to befriend whatever teacher is there on yard duty. you can catch his ass always at the canteen too buying the most outrageous shit for him and albus. he’s always got a fully stocked and well loved lunchbox, so its not for lack of care. constant victim of the eshays, once sat in the wrong spot and almost got bashed. school dux, but rose claimed valedictorian (she wasn’t happy).
craig: also definitely school captain, but he hatessss doing the speeches. just let him quietly organise the NAIDOC week activities in peace. studies in the library loads. unproblematic as hell, helps tutor year 10s in the library after school too. lowkey knew how to teach maths better than the maths teachers did, so they all liked him. wouldn’t let people copy off him so was kinda a stick in the mud for that. has beef with his year 10 english teacher who confiscated his beanie.
polly: she’s got a organiser in her locker and pictures of her friends put up everywhere inside. always cussing out the eshays and threatening to bash them. takes group costumes for athletics day way too serious and makes sure all her friends coordinate with her vision. absolutely slays the swimming carnival, her friends always are super annoying spectators on the side. super popular, always doing her makeup at the back of the class. did all the ATAR subjects but kinda flopped in it all. has secret beef with most of her teachers. chronic complainer, never thinks her shitty grades are her fault.
victoire: valedictorian of her year. prettiest girl in the school fr. played netball. knows all her friends and teachers birthdays and would always do the thing where she’d get a card and get everyone in her homegroup to sign it. has mostly everyone from school on snap. planned the yearbook, the year 11 formal, the grad afterparty, etc.
karl: lowkey an eshay but absolutely don’t say this to his face. his friendship with yann is like the only thing that is preventing him joining Those group of boys. only did outdoor ed for the camp. took a shit in the bathroom sinks during muck up day but no one could prove it was him. always goes to polly/rose/yann’s class during his frees to fuck around and usually gets kicked out for disrupting the class (“but Misssssss ☹️”). puts dollops of wet toilet paper in albus’ locker
yann: always the one filming school fights. starts rumours about people he’s irritated with, even his own friends. is best friends with the science teachers. is the one everyone goes to for gum. can dig up the most crazy info on teachers ever, someone give this guy a job in background checks. has been playing cricket since he was nine.
james: school captain but lowkey against his will. plays footy during lunch. had The Australian Mullet in year 8 but ginny threatened to shave him bald so it thankfully didnt last. gets invited to a gazillion house parties but stands most of them up to be at home and just nap. people always try to start beef with him for popularity but they always later find out that james dgaf at alllll. doesnt care for listening to music but doesnt want people approaching him so he’ll plug his airpods in and listen to the abc on the way to school/during lazy classes pretending he’s normal and listening to hozier or some bull. trauma bonded with his lote class.
lily: got suspended for bashing someone in the stairwell for calling albus a slur. plays footy and netball and highkey is better than most of the boys that play. planted a tree in the toilets one day. spends all her frees shopping out of school. buys herself heaps of ramen and forces james to use his year 12 privilege and cook it for her. has an electric scooter and is so irritating about it. actually really gafs about afl season and barracks for geelong (simply because she likes cats, and it just stuck). always getting moved in class because she yaps too much and too loud.
dominique: is always bashing someone and getting filmed (probs by yann). no one really learns she’s victoire’s little sister because they are soooo different in looks and personality. always going to school high as a kite. got sent home on muck up day for egging the principal and almost got kicked out of the grad ceremony. known as The Only Lesbian in school (she’s bisexual).
delphi: moved from getting homeschooled. does folio subjects. plays devil’s advocate in history class. never ever wearing school uniform but she’s too difficult to deal with so the teachers just leave her alone (also none of the office ladies want to call euphemia rowle 😭). spends most of her time at wellbeing. would sell empty vapes to year 7s in the girls bathrooms. that mf who tries to befriend the spiders 💀 and she’d throw them in people’s hair
hugo: used to be pressured by his mum to study for naplan so was waiting until he could be set free in year 10 (he doesnt have to do naplan anymore but he does have six assignments due tomorrow). he and rose were definitely kumon kids. always late to homegroup. the drama teacher loves him. got recorded bashing some older guy at a train station because the guy stepped in his hsp and then became a meme around school for a month or two. acts like he dgaf but will go home and cry over his grades in his room.

hiii! i just wanted to make a request for bill kaulitz cause he’s very hot 😁
So basically this will be like an enemy to lovers kinda thing. Bill hates y/n and he bullies her a lot but when he gets home he has some fantasies about her 😏.
Bill isn’t doing good in school so his teachers told y/n to tutor him, when they both got told who they were going to be with erm they were kinda arguing with the teacher and each other. When y/n enters bills house she doesn’t see him and goes to his room,
she hears groans and whimpers coming from the slightly opened room and then you know she obviously helps bill because she likes him. 😁
Tumblr media
fuck you- bill kaulitz
(a/n- sorry this is so late i didn’t see it!!)
Tuesday, 2nd period math class.
as y/n enters class late, she takes her seat, which happens to be across from bill kaulitz. bill gives y/n a look of disapproval, and slouches in his seat. as the bell rings for the class to end, y/n packs up her things and starts to walk out the classroom. bill pushes past her. “what the fuck is your problem with me?” y/n yells at bill in a sassy tone. “what the fuck is your problem with me?” bill mimics her copying her girly voice. y/n scoffs and walks home since the school day is over.
bill’s pov-
it’s currently 11:00 pm right now and me and the band just finished practice. I change into sweatpants and get into bed. I cant stop thinking about y/n. yes, i do “hate her” but she’s so damn hot. her bitchy but sexy voice won’t leave my head. I only am mean to her because i think she’s hot. I don’t want to admit it but I do.
it’s now 2am and I wake up with a hard on. I rub my eyes trying to remember my dream. Then it hit me, I had a dream about hooking up with y/n. yk when you wake up from a really realistic dream that felt real?. that’s what it felt like. I needed her. and fast. I needed to figure out a way to have her.
I went back to sleep and tried to forget about the dream i just had.
back to y/n’s pov.
9:00 am. It’s 1st period and I have physics… with bill. i roll my eyes as i can see bill a next to me staring at me.
after class, the teacher calls both me and bill up to her desk. “bill, i was talking to your mom and we agreed that your grades are dropping, so I thought y/n could tutor you since she’s a very smart girl!” she teacher says. me and bill both look at each other in disgust. “no way!” we both say. “i’m not being tutored by a girl, especially not y/n” bill says. “well you obviously need someone smart to tutor you, and y/n is one of the smartest in the class. to either you fail my class, or you let her tutor you” she says. bill looks me up and down with his arms crossed. “fine.” he finally gives in. but i’m seriously done with her after this” he says. “so will you y/n?” the teacher asks. “i guess.” y/n says. “great! you can start after school today” the teacher says.
I walk out of class angry, bill follows behind me. he pushes me near the wall “what now?” i say. “come at like 5 today. k?” he says. “k”. i say dryly. he gives me his address and i go to my next class.
I get home and get ready to go to bills house. although i’m not very happy about having to tutor my bully, I’ll admit he’s really, like really cute. i’ve always had a little crush on him. he’s super attractive and i think the bitchyness makes him even more hot.
y/n puts on a pair of sweats and a tube top. and starts to head over to bills house.
I get to bills house and Knock on the door. no answer. I swear to god if he doesn’t answer the door. i walked all the way here.
I push on the handle to see if it’s unlocked, I walk in and call out his name. “bill??” I get to reply. I’ve been to his house one because me and his brother tom are chill, so I think i know where bills room is. as I walk down the hallway closer to bills room, I hear groaning, and heavy breathing. i’m guessing maybe he’s just working out..? I open his door to see him with his d in his hands, his head is thrown back “bill?” I say shocked and a bit turned on by the sight in front of me. “shit!!” bill yells pulling up his pants. I walk over to bill and sit on the edge of the bed a next to him. “what were you doing?” i ask. “ shit you didn’t see anything” he reply’s, obviously embarrassed that I saw him jerking off. his shirt is off and his makeup is a mess. I pull at his waist band. “well do you need help with that before i help you with schoolwork?” he sits up and bit and the only thing that leaves his mouth is a small “mhm” he bites his lip. I straddle my legs on him and pull his waistband down, kissing his star tattoo. I pull his pants all the way down to reveal his hard on. I put the tip in my mouth and start to push my head up and down. “fuck y/n” is all he can get out of his mouth. his hand pushes my head deeper onto him. “jesus christ..” he groans. as his eyes are closed I start to pull down my own pants and slowly put myself into him. he hasn’t even noticed yet. as i lower myself onto him he opens his eyes “damn y/n please” I lower myself all the way and start going up and down on him. I place small hickeys on his chest. the pace picks up. “i can’t hold on any longer y/n, im gonna come” he says.
he cums in me and i come to. i flop over a next to him. “not what you were expecting huh?” i say to him in that cute bitchy/girly voice he likes. “holy. shit y/n” is all that can leave his mouth.
he takes me in his arms and we both fall asleep.

Pre-FAYZ Caine and Diana Head Cannons
Hii l've lurked in this fandom for years so here's me throwing out some thoughts I've had because this series has lived rent free in my head for 6/7ish years -
I don't ever stop thinking about these two before the FAYZ.
ーーーーー
1. They were both smart. Like, really, really smart.
2. Diana's best subject was history and she also enjoyed sciences/was very good at math. She took mostly APs or whatever form of higher level classes they had at Coates. Diana was the type of smart that she got good grades but didn't try in the things that didn't interest her. For example, she hated English. She couldn't care less because it was boring. It was the only class she didn't take some form of higher level in.
3. Because of this lack of interest, she would often get other people to do the homework for her and she had a mental list of boys (Caine and various other boys who had good grades in English who had a crush on her) and would rotate through getting them to do the homework for her.
The only assignments she ever did in English were the exams and quizzes.
4. In contrast. Caine's best subject was English and he loved to read. He read all the time, mostly classics, biographies, historical fiction and science fiction.
(This idea was prompted to me by that scene in Plague where Diana references Napoleon and he's like, "ummm actually" and cites a biography he read on Napoleon in the Island house like ??? Okay nerd) (He was me, I would do some shit like that if one of my friends made a reference to something I didn't know)
5. He also took mostly APs or higher level classes. He was really good at most subjects, or at least English and math, but couldn't stay awake during any science classes. He managed an A in science (despite his naps in the class) because he tried to maintain a 4.0, but he hated science
6. Diana tried to tutor him in science once because he told her he would only write her essay if she helped him, but it ended up with them fighting so she refused to help him again.
7. Caine was definitely in one of the following sports before he went to Coates:
- rowing, tennis or golf.
- or he at least knew how to play golf or tennis.
I can't explain this one. He just exudes preppy athlete energy (because his mom made him do it.)
8. Kind of off topic but: Coates did in fact have sports but not football because there was a time where a fight between them and another school they played against got so violent that they had to disband their team to avoid a lawsuit.
9. Diana has a ton of siblings (I imagine 4 in my head, so she's one of 5). She's 100% the middle child, and her younger siblings are MUCH younger because of her dad's affair. I imagine ~4 when she leaves for school the year of the FAYZ and they're part of what makes her want to be a mother because she was often the primary caretaker of them when she was home (because her dad and stepmom were losers).
10. (I don't think we get official confirmation on this, apologies if I'm misremembering) Diana's birthday is on Halloween and she just turns 14 before the FAYZ starts that November and she is young for her class.
11. Before the FAYZ started in that fall, Diana had a shitty boyfriend who was a couple years older than her that Caine hated. Around the time his powers got stronger, some conflict happened between Diana and the boyfriend (I haven't decided on a specific one) and he has a suspicious "accident" on the stairs that day. Diana got mad at Caine, and her boyfriend had to leave school due to his injuries. However, this was one of the early moments that made Diana feel like Caine could protect her.
12. Diana didn't find out about Caine's powers on purpose. She stumbled across him practicing in what would have been an empty library while avoiding class or something.
13. Caine and Drake were roommates because Caine was the only Coates student not too afraid to be his roommate. Drake was a clean and meticulous roommate, so Caine didn't mind him much.
—————
This is what l've got for now! If you've read all of this thank you 😅
I have some on the trio as roommates post-FAYZ as well if anyone is interested :)

Random OC facts: Rietta [Revised and updated]
This is a combination of two earlier lists, with the addition of some new facts!
Can speak three languages and do elaborate math problems in her head.
Nevertheless, is not at her best in the role of student and most of her governesses and tutors have lost patience with her inability to focus and stick to tedious tasks.
Talkative, outgoing, and loves people but has been brought up in isolation her whole life and fills that void by talking to just about anyone/thing, including but not limited to: insects, graves of people she doesn’t know, strangers from the other side of the blackberry bushes, and no one at all.
Dreams of experiencing these new-fangled motorcars and taking voyages. Get her on a train, though, and she is a Nervous Wreck.
Can and will “adopt” people within moments of acquaintance.
Decent pianist (a required accomplishment for a girl of her class) with a secret preference for rag. Would rather listen to music than play it, though.
Due to absorbing every travel book she can for the vicarious experience, has minute knowledge of the geography of her world and keeps a large map on her bedroom wall with pins in it for all the places she’s visited. There’s currently only one pin.
Incredibly stressed, mostly about her mother, but is either in denial about it or so used to it that she can’t recognize it as stress.
The most responsible, conscientious, worried person to ever be reckless, impulsive, and light-hearted.
An awesome big sister. Has no siblings.
Has none of Delclis’s scientific background in botany but still possesses a good practical knowledge of plants from her gardens at home. Ask her to show you the Knot Garden and the Not Garden sometime if you’re in the neighborhood.
Plays tennis against a wall and has come to view this opponent as her nemesis.
Prone to inconvenient spontaneous nosebleeds due to particularly delicate nasal blood vessels.
Keen bicyclist who’s tough enough to manage it in her ankle-length skirt and corset.
Never play charades against her. You haven’t a chance.
Does not like blackberries and would likely be diagnosed with an allergy to them if she lived in our world.
Avid studier of newspapers and amasser of clippings from them. Does she understand much of the news? Is there any system to what she saves? Nope, but she’s not going to let a thing like that stop her.
Has been trying to pinpoint a suitable husband since approximately age ten, to the point of writing application letters to other monarchs presenting herself as a worthy candidate for their sons’ hand in marriage. It’s not that she’s boy-crazy or wants a wedding for its own sake. A marriage would be both a shrewd political move and her ticket out of isolation.
A fan of Amarantha’s father’s mystery stories and has written him eleven (11) fan-letters under various pseudonyms. Has never received a reply.
Has been given pocket money only once in her entire life and spent the entire thing on lemon drops. No regrets.
Curious about the Otionovian side of her heritage but is hindered by her mother’s being forbidden to discuss her homeland with her more than necessary. They are not allowed to speak the language together, and Rietta accidentally created scandal once by ordering a formal dress inspired by traditional Otionovian design.
On her father’s and brother’s birthdays, goes with her mother to the royal crypt to pray at their graves. Although she and her mother always go there together, they visit separately too. Rietta prefers to chat to her brother about life in general and play card games “with” her father.
Has never had a coronation despite technically ruling for the last thirteen years or so, since Faysmondian monarchs cannot be coronated until they come of age. There was an instatement ceremony to mark her ascension instead, famous for a photograph taken of her as a three-year-old spontaneously hugging her Prime Minister’s leg.
Surrounded by all male cousins–her father’s sister’s twins, two years her senior; and the sons of her two great uncles, one year older and three years younger. All of them are healthy, well-liked, and full-blooded Faysmondians (…not exactly true, but as far as the public is concerned).
Visited a hospital on her ninth birthday and impulsively decided to give her unusually grand new doll to one of the little girl patients who had admired it. Everyone was very proud of her for her generosity, and she didn’t regret doing a good deed, but a significant part of her wanted more than anything to take that doll back. She is rather ashamed of this.
Is technically supposed to have a governess but is perpetually “between” them because her mother and the head of her regency council can never agree on a suitable one. She has no objection to this arrangement, since it gives her more freedom.
One of her more exciting days was a state visit from her uncle Minin and aunt Ilaris, King and Queen of Otionovia. The visit was highly controversial, and the monarchs had to meet on an island off the coast of Faysmond. She had never met anyone from her mother’s side of the family and eagerly of the family and eagerly entertained these relatives, whom she was disappointed to find she didn’t much care for.
Still fondly remembers the Christmas that she was allowed to go to the ice rink in the capital city (Dorin), which was infinitely superior to the pond she skates on at home every winter.
Is encouraged by the head of her regency council to spend an afternoon at least every month in the company of her three great-aunts (one of whom is her godmother). The intention is for her to absorb more of traditional Faysmondian thinking, but these visits usually end in her getting into heated arguments after her aunts have said or insinuated something rude about her mother.
Very fond of animals but not allowed to have her own pet since they’re too expensive. Instead, persistently tries to befriend Piebald, the castle cat, who quite frankly hates her.
Her choice to pose as the "Sleeping Maiden" at the time that Rachel meets her wasn't a random choice--it's her favorite fairy tale. She has always related to the protagonist, who is spirited, determined, creative, but trapped and isolated by forces beyond her control and manages to find and bond with someone whom she guides toward getting her out.
Has shown an interest in experimenting with cooking or baking but is forbidden to on the grounds that her chaotic attempts would be more than the household food budget could handle.
Has an excellent memory for names and has memorized all the families of the court/the nobility, as well as most of her extended family on both sides. She could tell you exactly how she's related to most of the royal families on the Continent.
Her favorite photograph that she has ever taken is a candid shot of her mother smiling broadly. Rietta caught her off-guard and snapped the picture before the joy could vanish.
Reminds her mother strongly of both of her late brothers, and that scares Tietra a little.

foxtrot here. (before i get into it, i am an adult, i was just put into school late by my parents, like age seven instead of six for grade 1 etc. im also from the global south if its of any importance. so i graduated with kids a few months to a year younger than me. you can call me a baby or whatever i suppose but its important for what im going to share aha) so i had my last day of school today, and i have my graduation party tomorrow. and i am so incredibly sad about it. because school was literal hell for me (such severe anxiety that i physically could not go to school sometimes + parents who "dont believe in mental health" and also im in stupid amounts of pain. but my parents dont believe me and i hesitate to call it chronic pain) and i literally hated every moment of every day but. my god will i miss my lunch period with my friends and skipping PE classes with a fellow artist to do art instead. i started crying when i realised ill never get to laugh with all twenty of us in the same room ever again and it was soo embarrassing but like. yeah idk shit hurted. i also failed physics which is SO inspiring for me, an aspiring astrophysicist. i nearly had a breakdown in school but im so brave i kept it together until i got home. i cant believe ill never get to go in the bus again. uh yeah so i failed my physics preboard but i still have my boards to give and im so so scared for them because i literally studied 11 hours a day for all of my subjects and still only got about a 50% average grade across chemistry, biology, maths, and english, PLUS a failing grade in physics. i just. man. its been such a rollercoaster of emotion. i was so excited to make the most of the day and i DID. i DID make the most of it. i cant believe ill never play basketball with them again. or kho kho. or kabaddi. god. but i also failed in the one subject i truly adore and i will never see my friends in school again. god... sorry it got so rambly im just. not feeling it.
You poor thing, I'm sorry to hear you're going through all that.
Let me tell you something, high school grades, they're important sure, but not as important as most kids think they are. They're never as set in stone as you think they are. If you're wanting to apply to a university course, there's a lot of places that will do online courses, that you can do, to redo grades you failed or missed, and they'll replace the existing grade on your record when you apply.
I took some online courses to pick up courses I didn't grab first time around when I applied to my University. I took a year off, studied and took the courses, and applied and had no problem getting in.
My point is, learn from your mistakes, ask for a copy of your exam, and see where you missed marks. Then, hire a tutor. Have them sit down with you, go over what you didn't get right, identify your weak spots, and study those. Then, retake your courses online, and apply to your program.
Life, it happens, ok? Shit happens. Nobody is perfect. We all get knocked down here and there. But, it's what you do when you fail that matters. Don't let this discourage you, let this motivate you to get into your dream program.
I believe in you Foxtrot, I know you can do it. Even then, I'm very proud of you for trying your best, and this setback doesn't make me think any less of you <3
As for your friends, I'd get their Discord or Skype or WhatsApp, and keep in contact with them. Set up monthly meetups where you do things together, keep the friendship alive.

Wail Of The Siren - Chapter 4 - Chopsticks
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Originally published 5/11/24)
It was a cold, rainy morning.
Giant gray clouds in the sky, the sound of pouring rain banging on the windows and roof tops, and the faint sound of chirping birds in the distance.
I wish I could stay here. Dib thought sleepily, not wanting to leave the comfort of his bed.
Dib crawled out of bed with a frown.
Dib rummaged through his closet for the perfect outfit. “Yeah this looks fine.” Dib remarked as he looked at himself in mirror.
He was wearing his light blue ghost shirt, black pants boots, trench coat and a beanie.
He had put the beanie on so his hair wouldn’t become soaked.
Dib  went to the bathroom and brushed their teeth. Then spitting it out and heading downstairs.
They noticed Gaz wasn’t downstairs, only Dad, who was eating some breakfast, the Foodio 3000 and Clembrane, who was making pudding like usual.
Dib sat down at the table. “U WANT SOME PUDDIN’ SON?” Clembrane asked “uh… no thank you.” Dib responded, hoping to not offend the robot. “OOOOKAY THEN!!!” Clembrane responded back, then directing his attention back to the pudding.
“Good morning son.” Professor Membrane smiled “Morning Dad, where’s Gaz?” Dib asked “She isn’t feeling well today, she’ll be staying home.” Professor Membrane explained, then taking a sip from his coffee. “Oh, alright then.” Dib mumbled in response, then eating his waffles that were drowned in maple syrup.
“Dad… shouldn’t you be at work?” Dib remarked after glancing at the clock, it was 8:30 and Professor Membrane was usually at work by 8:00 sharp.
Professor Membrane spat out his coffee and let out gasp “OH- oh no! I’m late!” Professor Membrane began to panic, frantically looking for his car keys. “Gotta go son! See you later!” Professor Membrane said, then rushing out the door.
Dib finished his food and placed his dirty dishes in the dishwasher and headed to school.
Dib felt cold raindrops fall on his face, they made sure to watch out for puddles, they didn’t want drenched, soaking wet socks.
Just imagining the feeling of drenched socks made them cringe.
Dib then made it to Skool and walked inside.
Dib made their way to their locker to put their things away.
Ah shit what’s my combination again? Dib asked himself oh wait isn’t it 156798 Dib figured.
The locker was unlocked, Dib let out a sigh of relief and put away their things.
Dib then walked down the hall to his class room, the sound of his wet boots squeaking across the floor made him cringe. He hated that sound.
Dib walked into class, only to see Zim giving him a judgmental stare.
It was early, class started at 9 but Dib was there at 8:48 am.
What is Zim doing here so early? Dib wondered, Ms Bitters then greeted him.
Dib greeted her back, then taking his seat.
“Why are you here so early, Dib Stink?” Zim sneered, “Asking you the same thing, Spaceboy.” Dib replied, then taking a dramatic sip from his orange juice.
“Not sure Dib stink.” Zim said, answering Dib’s question.
Dib then took another dramatic sip of his orange juice.
“No food in class Dib!” Ms Bitters scolded.
Dib then put the empty juice box away.
Once everyone else arrived, class began.
“Okay class, open your horrible text books to page 2005.” Ms Bitters ordered.
Dib sat in class, hoping the day would be over soon, so they could head home and relax, and watch their favorite show, Mysterious Mysteries.
I can’t wait for that new episode! They mused with excitement.
It was about a Mothman sighting near Virginia.
It’d be airing at 11 pm.
The bell finally rang, Dib quickly rose from his desk and was getting ready to leave.
Dib and Zim were about to leave class, until Ms Bitters called them.
“Dib, Zim. I need to talk to you.” She stated sternly.
Zim and Dib froze and turned to face Ms Bitters.
“Dib. Your grades in math have been absolutely horrendous lately, so I’m assigning you a tutor.”  Ms Bitters stated.
“Oh… okay…” Dib sighed, it wasn’t surprising to him.
“Zim will be your math tutor.” Ms Bitters proclaimed.
“WHAT?!” Zim gasped, wishing this was all a nightmare he’d soon wake up from.
“Why do I have to tutor the Dib?! I hate him!!” Zim demanded.
“Look Zim. You have some of best grades in math in this class, that’s why assigning you as Dib’s tutor.” Ms Bitters explained.
Dib glanced at Zim angrily, Zim gave him the same glance, crossing his arms and letting a “hmph”.
Zim then walked out of the class room, Dib followed in unison.
“I hate that I have to tutor you, you dumb, stinky human.” Zim complained, then sticking out a it’s tongue.  “I hate that a green cockroach lizard creature has to tutor me.” Dib scoffed.
“ZIM IS NO COCKROACH!!!!” Zim shouted, the older kids in the hall staring at it.
“What is wrong with those kids?” One older kid remarked, another standing beside them shrugged their shoulders.
Dib and Zim continued on their way to Dib’s house.
Gaz walked into the garage, she was going to get her clothes from out of the dryer.
She noticed that Tak was in the garage, she was busy doing something, Gaz glanced over her shoulder.
“What are you doing?” She asked curiously in a nasally manner, “building a base for myself.” Tak replied, “it should be done soon.” She adds.
“I think I could use a break though, I’ve been working on it for hours.” She remarked “Also… are you okay? You sound kind of sick.” Tak expressed “Yeah… I don’t feel very good today.” Gaz replied, then blowing her nose with a tissue she was holding.
“Is there something I can do to make you feel better?” Tak asked, concern in mew’s voice. “Uh.. some soup I guess?” Gaz answered.
Tak then grabbed Gaz’s hand and dragged her to the kitchen. “Hey!” Gaz exclaimed “oh sorry- I forgot you didn’t like being touched.” Tak apologized.
Tak let go of Gaz’s hand before rummaging through the cabinets, looking for a can of soup.
“Is chicken noodle fine?” Tak asked, Gaz nodded.
Tak grabbed a can of chicken noodle soup and poured it into a pan.
She turned it medium heat.
Tak and Gaz stood there for a few minutes as they watched the soup cook. “Is it done yet?” Gaz questioned “I think it’s almost done.” Tak replied, taking a closer look.
“Yeah it looks done to me.” Tak confirmed.
Tak poured it into a bowl “thanks” Gaz said “No problem. Anyway, I gotta go set up base. See you later.”  Tak smiled “bye Tak!” Gaz rasped as Tak walked out the door.
Zim walked to the Membrane house, he knocked on the door and was greeted by Professor Membrane.
“Hello Zim!” He greeted, welcoming Zim inside.
“Dib’s upstairs waiting for you.” Professor Membrane said “kay” Zim replied, heading upstairs to Dib’s room.
The door was plastered in posters of cryptids like Mothman and Bigfoot.
Zim opened the door “Hey Dib stink. IT IS I. ZIIIM!!!” Zim shouted “Hey Zim.” Dib replied with a bite of his lip. “You can sit with me I guess” Dib adds.
Zim climbed up the ladder on the side of Dib’s bed and lied down on his stomach.
Zim glanced at the paper, it was all problems with variables, like x or y, or even z or a.
“You have trouble with this? Irken smeets do more complicated math than this.” Zim cackled. “Can you just help me with this so we can get this over with.” Dib spat with annoyance.
“Ugg fine.” Zim spat back.
“Okay so, you want to get X alone okay?” Zim began, Dib listened carefully to the best of his ability, his eyes glued to the paper. “So you want to do this to each side. So then this stuff cancels out. You kill it off!” Zim adds.
Zim then explained how to do the rest of problem. “And our quotient is 2x.” Zim finished “Now you try, you stinky human.” Zim adds.
“Okay..” Dib replied, then beginning to work on the problem “Is this right?” He questioned “yeah it looks fine so far, Dib worm.” Zim answered with a bite of his lip.
Once Dib finished, Zim examined it.
“Good job Dib. Surprising to say that about you.” Zim remarked after examining the problems. “Oh uh… thank you?” Dib replied Zim was nice about it? Dib thought out of disbelief, used to Zim’s typical self absorbed and prideful behavior.
However, the two flinched when they heard Gaz barge in “Hey Dib, dinner’s done.” Gaz said “Okay, great. I’ll be down there.” Dib replied. “Isn’t he coming too?” Gaz questioned, pointing to Zim.
“Uh. Yeah I guess.” Zim mumbled.
The three went downstairs to the dinner table.
“Hello Zim! Pleasure to have you here.” Professor Membrane grinned, “Thanks for helping out Dib.” He adds. “It is my pleasure, as the very best.” Zim smirked.
Zim sat at the table eating his food. Thankfully it was breakfast for dinner, and waffles specifically.
He was glad he didn’t have to awkwardly explain his meat allergy and get dirty looks in the process.
Zim chewed on his waffles and sipped some cola, something he’d surprisingly grown a tolerance for. “YOU WANT SOME PUDDIN’ ZIM?” Clembrane asked “Nah. I’m good.” Zim insisted.
The waffles were drenched in maple syrup and had some whipped cream on top, along with some strawberries for good measure.
They tasted sweet, sugary and delicious.
Gaz sipped some orange juice, it was tart and sour, yet sweet.
Dib awkwardly ate his dinner, how am I sitting at the dinner table with him? Dib asked himself as he glanced at Zim from across the dinner table.
Please just let this be over soon. He thought desperately, just wanting to go back upstairs and go in his room and draw his cryptid  oc’s and listen to Lemon Demon.
Finally, dinner was over and Zim went home.
Dib let out a sigh of relief when Zim walked out the front door, they immediately went upstairs to their room.
Dib climbed into bed and grabbed their sketchbook and started jotting and doodling some concepts for this story they were working on.
“Hm… should that happen… Nah that’d be stupid.” Dib decided, scribbling out what they’d written with a blue glitter gel pen they had found laying around.
“Hm… I guess I can finish this tomorrow.” Dib decided, climbing off his bed and putting his stuff away.
Dib then climbed back in bed and pulled out his laptop to work on something different.
“Time to finish this drawing I guess.” Dib mumbled, then getting to work as Lemon Demon blasted through his headphones, finishing some line art of one of his Mothman oc’s.
Mimi lied on the sofa in Tak’s newly set up base.
On the exterior it was a Victorian style house, mostly light purple with darker purple accents.
On the inside, it had dark, wooden looking floors and light, muted purple walls.
On the living room floor, there was a small burgundy sofa. And a small, muted toned bluish purple rug lied on the floor below.
There was also a tv on a small black tv stand.
Mimi snacked on some popcorn, with chopsticks.
Tak walked into the room, “Hey Mimi. Please keep watch over the base. I’m going Gaz’s house.” Tak said, then noticing the chopsticks.
“Why are you eating popcorn with chopsticks?” Tak asked “so my claws don’t get greasy.” Mimi answered “Oh, okay then. Anyway, I’ll be going now. See you later.” Tak said, then heading out the door.
Meanwhile, Gir had dried his dog suit.
“I’m glad you finally washed that revolting thing.” Zim commented “Me too!” Gir grinned.
Gir then put on its dog suit and headed out the door.
“I wonder where it’s going..” Zim mumbled “probably somewhere, like what the human’s call a “shopping mall” Zim figured, then going back downstairs to the lab to work on something.
Gir made his way to Tak’s base.
Gir walked up the steps to the porch and knocked on the door.
“Hm… who could that be?” Mimi wondered, dropping her chopsticks and walking to the front door.
“Hello?” Mimi questioned as she carefully cracked open the door.
“HI MIMI!!!” Gir shouted, “Hi Gir!” Mimi greeted, allowing him inside.
“You got any taquitos?” Gir asked “No sorry. We have gummy worms though.” Mimi replied, fetching the gummy worms.
Gir and Mimi took a seat on the sofa.
Mimi noticed something, Gir didn’t smell horrible? He actually smelled nice?
“Hey Gir, did you wash your suit? It smells really nice!” Mimi complimented “Yeah!!!!” Gir replied.
“I washed because I knew it’d make you happy! And I like seeing you happy!” Gir stated “Oh.. thank you?” Mimi mumbled, not sure what to say.
“Do you want to watch something?” Mimi asked “Sure!” Gir replied.
“You should choose!” Gir smiled “alright then… how about this Nirvana documentary? My master likes it.” Mimi suggested.
“What’s a Nirvana?” Gir asked “Its this band that Gaz and my master like.” Mimi answered.
“Yeah we can watch it!” Gir verified, Mimi then put in the dvd and sat back down on the sofa.
Gaz and Tak lied on a blanket at the park, drinking some cola, Tak had finished setting up her base a few hours ago.
The sun had set about 30 minutes ago. A  moon stood in its place, stars glimmering in the night sky.
Tak and Gaz had been talking about rock bands and video games for a while, with the occasional mention of a tv show.
Gaz stared but at the stars as she listened to Tak ramble about her favorite band’s new album.
“The new Bloody Lizards album is great! I don’t understand the hate for it.  I didn’t think it was bad.” Tak said.
“I still need to listen to it. I was planning on getting it after I pick up a newly released game at the mall this weekend, wanna come with?” Gaz asked.
“Sure!” Tak answered.
Gaz then noticed something in the sky, shooting over the treetops. Huh? What’s that? Gaz asked herself, then sitting up, then realizing what it was.
A shooting star?
“Hey Tak! Look!” Gaz urged, pointing to a blazing object in the sky.
“Hm… perhaps it’s a meteor?” Tak guessed.
However,  the object then crashed in the distance.
Gaz and Tak decided to go investigate, carefully tiptoeing through the grass.
Gaz inspected it from a safe distance. “I don’t think this is a meteorite.” She said, glancing at Tak. “Me neither.” Tak replied in agreement, deciding to take a closer look.
Tak couldn’t believe her eyes.

Hi, happy WBW! (I am @writeblr-of-my-own, this is my main and apparently I can't switch them).
For this question, what is the school system like in your world? What kind of schools there are? If magic is present, is it taught?
Happy wbw!! And thank you!!!!
Firstly, Flatland is a non-magic world of geometric figures, so no magic schools, aw! And I will not yet go mention Exwhylia/Ypwherenia/Zetwhatia because whooole other thing so just focusing on Flatland for these yea yea.
Schools are divided according to Configuration, where the number of sides directly affects career opportunities and time spent in school. More sides, more time in school and more opportunities. Women/Lines, of course, do not go to school, and are usually taught Feeling and the Line Code [AKA good manners/how to avoid being killed by the government] at home. There have been cases where they are sent to Elementary schools to take the Ladies Program [essentially what they would otherwise learn at home, or to distract them until old enough to marry], but this is usually because a feminine relative/mother is unavailable.
The types of schools are, in order of class from lower to higher:
Rudimentaries, Elementary, High, and University.
These are based not on age, but on what classes are allowed in them. I'll start with the one mentioned in the book.
Elementary School
Elementary schools are for triangles above 20 degrees both Isosceles and Equilateral, though making obvious distinctions between the two. They primarily teach the Art of Feeling, using chained living Isosceles men, refered to as "specimens" as instruments for teaching the Art. They teach basic planiturth-elementary levels of math, biology, reading, a grossly modified version of history, and the bases of the Flatland doctrine of Configuration's importance. Isosceles stop attending at 11-12 years old, Equilaterals at 15-16. These schools are generally funded by the government, free or inexpensive, though this isn't a lot to say when you consider the triangular wages.
Rudimentary School
Rudimentary schools [also known as rudies in the Isosceles slang] are exclusively for Isosceles triangles and also free, though not obligatory for those of higher degrees, whose fathers have enough brains to teach their sons their craft. Isosceles come after finishing their Elementary schooling. Those under 20 degrees arrive too. Here they are taught whatever skills they need for their future jobs, with the things taught varying depending on the types of jobs available, along with generalized subjects like obeying orders, working in factories or introductory military training. All men with enough degrees to think [those above 20 degrees] can choose their jobs or what classes to take, but those below have their curriculum, life and job chosen for them the moment they slide in.
Violence against or between the students is common and occasionally encouraged, as Isosceles are considered subhuman or pests of which there is an extreme abundance anyway.
High School
These schools are attended by Squares and any shape of greater side count. These are private, and some are extremely prestigious and expensive. Some classes are still restricted to certain side milestones, mostly Hexagons and Dodecagons. These go beyond basics, teach a more accurate [Still modified!] history of Flatland, Sight Recognition instead of Feeling [in many, Feeling at school is a great offense], pay special attention to mathematics and are left at 18 years old. Also if you don't pass the Sight Recognition exam, you get killed or become a social outcast. Hooray!
University gets a passing mention because, being accessible exclusively to Squares and above, doesn't bring anything interesting. It's just University.
Other Systems/Miscellaneous Stuff
High Polygons and Circles are too good for even the most luxurious schools, so they tend to receive private tutoring.
Circles of the High Priest or Chief class receive a special education program at a Circular University where they learn of the greatest secrets of Flatland, like the heretics of the Gospel of 3D and the secret uses of color.
Irregulars can go to school under strict supervision, but most parents would rather hide them until they can legally be murdered.
In the non-civilized areas, education, like childcare, is often communal. This is seen even in the Degraded Isosceles worker communities or rural villages, separated as they are from the other Shapes, where the men work all day and the women have little else to do.

My first-day writing diary
First, I would say that I decided to create a Tumblr account because I want to record my journey as a normal college student together with finding someone to help me with my writing skills on this platform. This is the place where I used to share my experiences, what I have faced throughout the day, and the whole 4 years of college or you can just simply think that you are reading a silly diary of a Vietnamese girl..hehe... Then give me some feedback about my writing... I'm willing to receive your feedback. Right now, I'm gonna tell you about my 1st day as an English tutor for sixth-grader.
I woke up late in the morning at 7A.M. Then as normal, I grab my phone and surfed Facebook. In Vietnam, we usually do it, that's why the old generation always calls us "The lazy Gen Z". In ancient English, they will call this "Dysania" which is used to describe someone that doesn't want to get out of his/her bed in the morning. I know this is a bad habit but I'm trying to get rid of it recently. At 9AM, I used my motorbike to go to my student's house. His name is Hai. Unfortunately, Hai is busy in his piano class... well actually, I was misheard the day for tutoring him. It was on Thursday but I mistook it for Saturday.... I was waiting for so long that his parent asked Hai's friend to come and study for him instead. The girl is the same age as Hai. She is so elegant, charming, and cute. Because I was prepare my lesson plan carefully and neatly, I was so confident to tutoring her... we learn about the Solar system, doing quizzes and game..that was just so Amazing...We talk to each other and she told me that her sister was studying in Finland at Aalto University in Espoo. I thought her family is rich and the special thing about her family is they love to study, discover new things, and go outside the world. That is what I wish my family could think about. My family is in the countryside of Vietnam. My parents are both farmers so they did not encourage me to go to university. They just want me to go to Japan or somewhere in the world to work as a manual worker for earning money. But I know I love studying, seeing my sister at college, a wonderful horizon for a study that I never stop dreaming about made me suffer from stress for a long time. My parent says that going to university cost so much money and they can't afford it. At that time, I was crying a lot, I won't tell anybody and stop talking to my parents..... But one day, I don't know why I made a call for my uncle and convince him to talk to my parents to persuade them to allow me to go to college. Then he agrees and there you go... I'm here as a college student. Sometimes, thinking back about that interval, I criticized my parents for that a lot. But it was just not the case right now. I think I've made some small changes recently, reading books (my favorite one is Atomic habits by Jame Clears), learning IELTS, preparing lesson plan and enjoy the world, working in Ho Chi Minh city is a different life from the countryside. I love Ho Chi Minh city sometimes charming, sometimes appealing and dynamic but also lonely. This place give me the opportunity to discover myself, and teach me how to be mature and better day by day even with some stumbling blocks (or a-knock- out I thought). ... I will try 200% effort not for anybody but just for myself... I promise, this is my commitment...
Back to the story of tutoring, when Hai's sister came home after her Pre-IELTS class, she want to learn IPA so I teach her and Hai's friend at the same time. I also play Dan Hauer Video On Youtube for them to learn English and I was so surprised that they like that a lot. Hai's sister is 14 years old but she is so intelligent, she has learned Chinese, piano, extra-math-class, swimming, martial art, etc. I discovered that she like reading books and learning Chinese like me so I will have to teach her these fields as her mother asked me to do.....(sigh...). At 11 AM, the class finish but unfortunately, it rained outside a lot... I went to the dorm in my motorbike with a soggy look.. But I'm still happy... I know I love teaching and I'm enjoying it...

Is hiring an IIT JEE home tutor better than joining a coaching institute?
Answer:  Finding a good IIT JEE home tutor for Physics and Maths can really shape your preparation strategy—especially if you're someone who learns best through personalized attention.
Here’s how you can go about it, step by step:
1. Look for Subject Specialization
Don’t settle for a general tutor who teaches all subjects. IIT JEE demands subject-matter expertise—especially in Physics and Maths, where concepts are deep and application-based.
👉 Real-life tip: My cousin Ayush was struggling with Calculus and Mechanics in Class 11. He found an IIT JEE home tutor through a tutoring platform who had cleared JEE himself and focused only on Maths and Physics. Within 3 months, his confidence and accuracy improved massively.
2. Use a Trusted Platform
Instead of randomly browsing classifieds or Facebook groups, try reliable platforms like HomeShiksha. They specialize in connecting students with verified, experienced IIT JEE tutors who come to your home.
These platforms often allow you to:
Filter tutors by subject and location
Check credentials (like JEE ranks, qualifications)
Read reviews
Schedule demo classes
3. Ask for a Trial Class
A demo session helps you assess the tutor’s teaching style. See if they can simplify tough concepts, provide good examples, and help with problem-solving techniques. The right IIT JEE home tutor will also identify your weak areas and suggest how to improve them.
4. Check for Concept Clarity + Exam Strategy
A good tutor won’t just teach you formulas—they’ll train you in:
Time management
Solving previous year questions
Avoiding common mistakes
Applying concepts under pressure
If the tutor offers regular tests and performance feedback, that’s a big plus.
5. Don’t Ignore Communication & Compatibility
Sometimes, even a highly qualified tutor may not click with your learning style. Choose someone who is patient, approachable, and responsive to your doubts—especially for tricky topics like Rotation, Thermodynamics, or Coordinate Geometry.
Final Thought:
Investing in a focused IIT JEE home tutor for Physics and Maths can give you a serious edge over group coaching. The one-on-one attention, customized pace, and direct mentorship often lead to better results and less stress.
If you’re not sure where to start, I’d recommend checking out HomeShiksha—they have location-based matching, verified tutors, and options for both online and offline sessions.
Hope this helps! Feel free to ask if you want specific tutor recommendations based on your city 😊
