Trolls should have more love languages than just the five that humans have. They should have ten: five for pity and five for hate. The pity languages would be roughly the same as the love languages humans have, since human romance is generally analogous to troll flushed and pale romance. The hate languages, though, would likely be similar but different to the pity languages.

I suggest these five:

-Rivalry [akin to acts of service]: Pushing each other to be better. Things like needling your kismesis into going to the gym with you or challenging them in a coding competition. Special focus on skills and respect.

-Trickery [akin to gift giving]: Doing things to your environment or providing gifts to your kismesis to piss them the fuck off. Basically anything that would make a humans pranksters gambit rise. Special focus on intricacy and the care involved in planning these tricks.

-Bickering [akin to quality time]: It is what it says on the tin. Turning a conversation into an argumentative battlefield that can go on for hours. Special focus on riffing off of each other and conversational flow.

-Mockery [akin to words of affirmation]: Privately or publicly stating things about your kismesis that make you hate them without opening a discussion. Insulting your partner or their plans and refusing to elaborate. Special focus on mediating their ego and knowing what not to say.

-Sparring [akin to physical touch]: It is what it says on the tin! Beating the everlasting shit out of each other to blow off steam. Special focus on providing an outlet and trust that neither of you will hurt the other legitimately.

All five of these would be present in most hate relationships, but the level of each of them would change. So, for example, I imagine Karkat's primary hate language would be bickering so he'd show hate-based affection mostly through bickering, but he'd still mock and trick and spar with and be rivals with any concilatory partner.
