Ghost has an abundance of money that absolutely nobody knows about but Price. After all the man is the one who gives Ghost an envelope that has his paycheck in it. It’s not like he can keep it in a bank account, after all any legal documentation would interfere claiming he’s dead. So with the paycheck and life insurance he received, he has to find a place to put it.
Well unfortunately his tactic of stashing it under his bed in a few decently sized duffel bags seemed to have failed him when Soap had stumbled upon it. In Ghost’s defense, he knew nobody was brave enough to sneak into his room so that was his original idea. Yet he now happened to have a boyfriend now who never understood the concept of knocking, and saw Ghost stash away more money from Price.
Soap asks him about it and Ghost panics, which typically means he tries to calm down with humor, and well that works against him because he says: “Stripping money-“
And Soap nearly fucking dies.

At first i didn't want to hc Arcangelo as having NPD, cause he's a bit shit and i didn't want to lean into any stereotypes. Especially because if he was a real celebrity like he is in canon I think people might arm chair diagnosis him with a personality disorder out of ableism. But i love him and i think he has NPD (too?)

Hello, a little rant here. I don't know whether people are becoming insensitive or I'm just taking things very seriously these times, but I beg of you, when I post about an update on the situation in Gaza, or about a lost life or any piece of news that is most likely horrifying and heartbreaking, do not repost or reblog with "yikes" or "real bullshit" or whatever goes in the same line. It just makes it seem so trivial when in fact it's world-shattering. Not to mention the horrible edits I see on Instagram/tiktok.
I literally came across an "Instagram reel" of my friend's UNCLE (who lost three of his kids, and was saying his goodbyes while they were in body bags), it was edited into a reel, with the effects and changing colors and the trending sound of the song "daylight by David kushner". I was speechless.
I know people show their solidarity differently, I know this. Especially through music, I've literally been listening to Samer songs as well as "Telk Qadieah", etc. But the edit I saw was way too much. I don't know how to explain it, because I've seen many reels of Palestinians in Gaza grieving and I thought it's important to share them but this one is different. It was like the edits you'd make for characters from a TV show or movie that died or had a sad storyline.
I don't know, maybe I'm overreacting but I genuinely feel like I'm going crazy. With everything going on and how it seems like some people are living in a parallel world rn.
I hope I don't get misunderstood, I'm not talking about the general clips with sometimes sad songs on them, I'm talking about certain edits the people started to make that are so weird and insensitive. Like the people they're editing aren't real, like they're some entertainment material.

Hot 4am take but I feel like if we want to get people more interested in making their yards a more habitable space for wildlife like insects, we have to acknowledge that ‘Don’t want bugs in your house’ is still a 100% fair and valid point of view. ‘Loves nature’ and ‘doesn’t want roaches spiders and mosquitoes in the house’ aren’t opposites.
And with that in mind, when we propose to people that spraying pesticides around houses is Not A Good Idea, Actually, I feel like we need to give an alternative asides from ‘deal with it.’

okay ngl im kinda mad about that one post about labru cannibalism symbolism being racist or whatever. like its not. why does everyone keep acting like shipping labru or even enjoying kabru in any sort of way is racist or whatever this is literally so dumb. op literally said that he was south asian coded “but ohhh same thing applies” like well that just changes literally everything you brought up oh my godddd if you want more poc in media to be appreciated stop holding everything to the same boring ass fucking morally correct standard. let kabru be a little freaky abt it
“oh you only ship labru because you want laios or whatever you’re making kabru’s only trait as being obsessed with a white guy” 1. why would you assume that. are poc not allowed to be gay anymore. whatever. 2. its the other way i around i want kabru and i kin laios like i like laios but whatever. 3. also i think their relationship is interesting asf like even outside of shipping lr whatever
ofc theres racist dumbfucks out there but in general i think people should be a little bit more lax. like people are so scared of falling into stereotypes and stuff they’re terrified of even approaching making shit about poc. just fucking relaxxxx people oh my god

I’ve been thinking back to artist stuff in high school and man people are really weird about furry stuff in a way that seems like they’re super afraid to be associated with it at all. I don’t/didn’t consider myself a furry but I recognize my art is obviously furry-adjacent at times and I don’t mind that.
I’d almost always bring my sketch book to school with me so I can draw during breaks and stuff and the amount of times people (sometimes complete strangers!) would randomly insult me for drawing “furry shit” (once this happened bc I was drawing bojack horseman characters LMAO) like ppl are usually polite when they see me (or others from what I’ve seen) drawing in public, will either ignore it or say something nice or funny if they do comment on it, unless it’s something they think is furry art.
It’s baffling to me like this is so obviously not how these people would normally behave but it feels like they’re so afraid of being seen as cringe they feel they have to point out any cringe they see so that no one thinks they’re cringe. Grown adults can do this stuff too but it was obv much more common for me in high school.
And it was so shitty how it made me actually somewhat ashamed of drawing anything that could be perceived as furry, even though I’ve loved drawing animals my whole life since I was a child, and I never had anything against furries and had both irl and online friends who were furries.
I don’t feel any of that shame anymore and just draw whatever I want (it helps that I’m no longer getting strangers commenting on my art like this irl, and that I’m not as insecure a person as I was in high school) it’s just so fucking weird that people feel comfortable acting like this

here's the thing.
being in this space, embedded in fandom and reading beautiful, queer stories all the time, speaking with beautiful, queer or queer-friendly friends, being surrounded by art that represents relationships i have had or hope to have more of, it's so easy for me to forget that these attitudes don't exist everywhere.
today i got into the most... upsetting conversation with an older relative and it reminded me why this space is such a safe haven, such an important place of comfort and kindness for so many people.
it reminded me why it's so hard for me to say things out loud sometimes in the big bad world, but its so easy for me to say them in the communities I'm part of here.
and i think it's so easy to underestimate the importance of this sort of space until you get a wallop of a reminder, a reality check.
so, im sad and im disappointed, but I'm also so incredibly bloody grateful for the people I've met here. thank fuck for you lot, and these stories you write, the art you create and the love you show.

You know what, while I'm doing hot takes. And this one may be obvious considering I'm actively contributing to hosting the Solarpunk Aesthetic Week event but like.
Dear everyone who's constantly deriding the aesthetic portions of the solarpunk movement/genre; do you just not understand that being able to visualize the future you want is immensely important to being able to work towards it? Being able to get other people on board with it?
When I first got interested in Solarpunk, it wasn't for the hot leftist takes about the top ways to dismantle the government for the people, or top tips on how to build your own solar panel apparatuses. What brought me in? Visions of a hopeful future. I learned and began to love the rest as I dove deeper into solarpunk circles, but there is no denying that my first intro to it--and likely many people's first intro to it--was via the art and aesthetic spheres. The term 'solarpunk' was literally coined to refer to the aesthetic movement, and we've been building up from there ever since.
'When are people going to realize the aesthetic parts don't matter and what really matters is praxis--' dude, the aesthetic parts do matter. Inspiring people does matter. Showing people visions of a hopeful future is immensely important, it's why so many people join this movement. We see glimpses of what a hopeful future could look like, through beautiful art or riveting stories, we're inspired by things like stained glass and organic designs and statues and fashion concepts--and then we think to ourselves 'how can we help make this future happen?' And we learn the praxis and we work towards the goals and we share it with others because that's just how we work.
Seeing isn't always believing, but sometimes in order to believe in something with your whole heart, it helps to be able to visualize what you want. For yourself and for others.
So yes. The aesthetic parts of solarpunk do matter. Thank you for coming to my TEDTalk.

THE DANNYPOCALYPSE HAS COME, REJOICE!!!
art from @/linkeduniverse from shady escape pt 1
He's a phantom! Danny Phantom! Danny Phantom! Danny Phantom! Young Danny Fenton, he was just 14,[1] When his parents built a very strange machine. It was designed to view, a world unseen. He's gonna catch em all 'cause he's Danny Phantom! When it didn't quite work, his folks, they just quit, But then Danny took a look inside of it, There was a great big flash, everything just changed, His molecules got all rearranged! Phantom! Phantom! When he first woke up, he realized, He had snow white hair, and glowin' green eyes. He could walk through walls, disappear, and fly, He was much more unique than the other guys.
And it was then that he knew what he had to do, He had to stop all the ghosts that were comin' through, He's here to fight, for me and you!l He's gonna catch 'em all, 'cause he's Danny Phantom, Gonna catch 'em all, 'cause he's Danny Phantom, Gonna catch 'em all, 'cause he's Danny Phantom!
