I’m devastated that Dead Boy Detectives for many reasons but mostly because every characters story, even the side characters is left open. If there ever was a second season this is what I’d love to see

Niko coming back as a ghost or some other supernatural being and her and Charles bonding over accepting that they are dead. Especially because in season one Charles is forced to confront both his abusive father and being beaten to death. He repressed those memories for 30 years because they were too painful for him. And Niko did the same thing with her father’s death and the mistakes she made while she was alive. Plus I’d just love to see the two of them become friends.

On the flip side I see the other focus on Crystal and Edwin also confronting their pasts. While Charles and Niko struggle with confronting their deaths Edwin needs to accept he was a living being at one point. And now that Crystal has her memories back she will have to reconnect with her past self. I’d love to see her and Edwin bonding over being from families with money and neglectful parents and fearing they deserved the punishments they received. Plus I wanna see more of them bicker like the siblings they are! Maybe we get to see more of Edwin’s family and life when he was alive because it’s basically nonexistent in season one!

Charles realizing his feelings for Edwin are more than platonic now that he knows Edwin likes him and Charles and Edwin becoming more comfortable with being closer physically. Just like Edwin had a sexuality crisis in season one I see Charles also having a sexuality crisis in season two. Luckily he has three girl friends who are all super openly queer.

Edwin going thru his hoe phase but struggling to form emotional connections with his sexual partners because he loves Charles and Charles wanting to be supportive but also being down bad for him. And Edwin potentially confiding in Charles??

Charles and Crystal trying to make a relationship work but realizing pretty quickly they’re not compatible. I do think the season ended with them being in a quasi relationship and I see it dragging out a bit longer because neither of them is ready to let go.

Edwin going to Jenny for relationship advice and her actually giving decent advice. I feel like most fanon assumes he’d go to Niko but I honestly don’t think Niko feels comfy giving relationship advice after the disaster that was Jenny’s date from Hell. I do see both of them possibly tag teaming relationship advice for Edwin. I could also see him confiding in Crystal since they’re already bonding over their shared trauma.

I also see Charles venting to literally everyone but Edwin about his feelings because he’s having a sexuality crisis and confronting his past trauma at the same time. Charles being 100000% jealous of every guy Edwin’s been with and judging whether they’re actually a good match for Edwin. He will be the bestie who’s like “I’m so happy for you” and Edwin being like “then why are you crying” “these are happy tears mate🥺😭”

Edwin and Charles finally having a conversation about the staircase and Edwin realizing Charles only said he wasn’t in love because he wanted to wait until he knew for sure. And both of them admitting they don’t feel like they’re good enough to be what the other one needs.

As for the side characters, I wanna see Jenny finally get a gf in London and become a butcher for both the living and the dead. I want tragic mic to finally become a walrus again because he’s been thru it. This probs won’t happen but Monty coming back and him and Charles bonding over their shared jealousy of Edwin and maybe hate fucking?

This is a long shot but it would be so cool to see Desire and Charles especially when Charles realizes he’s a chaotic bisexual. And Despair and Edwin because I can see them being a disastrous duo.

And lastly death finally meets the dead boy detectives!!

Anyways you're dating, he treats you as nice as Dallas Winston can. Darry hates it. Of all the nice boys you could've dated you picked the one most likely to break your heart. He's caught Dal sneaking in at least 5 times. Anyways Dal treats you pretty well, so eventually Darry treats him like he used to. It takes a while, though. A lot of glares.

He met you whenever you wandered into the kitchen for something. The whole gang waved like you were a normal occurrence, so Johnny went with the crowd and waved back. He almost fell off the arm of the couch when you smiled and waved back at him. Honestly, your siblings were all for this. Johnny's the sweetest thing alive, he's your best option. Heck, Soda probably set you two up. Once you two started dating Darry didn't really care. It's Johnny, he had no reason to threaten him with a loaded shotgun. He met you whenever you came out to hang out with the gang since you got bored of studying. He cracked some jokes like he usually does, but once he realized you thought he was funny, he made a scary amount of jokes, even for him. The gang noticed it, Darry was already like 'fuck no'. He's practically an alcoholic, you're too good for him. Somehow he pulled you, and Darry isn't as protective, but he still glares. Like if Two-Bit invites you to a party, somehow Darry pops out of thin air and glares. It's scary. But eventually it just becomes normally and everyone's okay with it. Anytime Two makes a dirty joke Darry silently threatens him with his life, though.

You came over to DX one time to ask Soda what he wanted for dinner. Instead you were met with Steve, who had no idea you were Soda's twin sister, and started hitting on you. Eventually Soda, you two talk, Steve connects the dots. He doesn't care though, he keeps flirting with you everything he sees you. Eventually you two start dating. Soda thinks it's weird, like his best friend is literally dating his female self. Steve didn't see it, though. Darry isn't too strict, I mean sure Steve's a dumbass but he doubts he'd hurt you. "One last thing. I've gotten everyone's gift. Just finished getting all of Miguel's and I just have one left for Gabi. It's this popular doll. It's from this new movie. This is the third store I've gone to to try and find it. I asked Miguel but he's had no luck either.

"You guys are such cute parents. I love it. Can't wait to earn the title Auntie Stephanie."

"Cute. I forgot to ask you this after the last barbecue, but did you tell Jack about me and Miguel? It's ok if you did, I know it's hard to keep secrets from someone your in a relationship with."

"Girl, I would never reveal a secret like that. Though Jack might be my boyfriend you are my bestie. But Jack did come to me and asked if I knew anything. He said he noticed the way Miguel looks at you. He said to me, 'he looks at her like she is the light of his life. The only person in the room.'"

"Do u think it's really noticeable to everyone?" You bit your lower lip as you give her a worried look.

"Nah, you know Jack is really good at reading people. You would know if everybody in the neighborhood knew." Stephanie chuckled.

"True." You chuckled along with her. "Miguel and I are going to say we're a couple at the holiday party tonight." You added. Your words made  Stephanie stop, grasping your forearm as she looked at you wide eyed.

"No way! I'm both nervous and excited for you. You think your parents will take it ok?"

"Honestly, I'm not sure. I know my mom would be thrilled that I'm in a serious relationship again. But i know she'll be upset that I lied plus I know my dad and her might not take it well since Miguel is closer in age to them than me. Now that I think about it. They're not going to take it well. What do you think?" You looked at Stephanie with hopeful eyes but they switch to worry when you saw her shake her head.

You arrive to the toy section of the store eyes widening when you see the vast amount of people grabbing things left and right.

"Shit. Ok. Steph, you know what I'm looking for, you go this way and I'll go the other. See you on the other end."

"If we make it out alive." Stephanie says before you split up.

You search almost every section from top to bottom. As you begin to lose hope you smile seeing at the end of the last aisle was the doll Gabi wanted. As you you were nearing the shelf two other people grabbed the last one at the same time. You huff in frustration as you knew you had no chance of getting it now.

"Omg is that Oprah in the shoe department?" Yelled Stephanie making the two people drop the toy and rush over followed by a few other victims who heard her. You chuckle as you pick up the toy from the ground. "My savior."

"That's what I'm here for." She gently bumped your shoulder with hers as you both laughed.

After you bought the toy you and Stephanie left the overly crowded store.

You headed back to your car, driving back to your neighborhood, saying goodbye to Stephanie as you dropped her off and Jack's apartment before you drove back to Miguel's house, parking your car in the garage. Surprisingly, no one has seen you park your car in Miguel's garage. If they have maybe they thought you were going to babysit Gabi, like you did at the beginning before your relationship with Miguel.

You entered the house as a smile lands on your face as you see Gabi running to you with her red holiday dress, with no socks and her hair all messy.

"Hi baby bug. What's happening here." You chuckle as you set your bags down as you kneel down to her height.

"Papa was helping me get dress for the holiday party at your parents house. But when I heard you come home I ran down to see you." You lift her up in your arms as you walk into the living room where you see Miguel in black dress pants and nice button up black shirt with a few buttons undone. On one side of his shoulders were Gabi's tiny socks and in one of his hands her shoes, so small compared to him.

"There's the little runaway princess and my beautiful queen." Miguel whispered the last part to you as he gave you a sweet kiss to your lips before you handed Gabi into his arms.

"No, I want y/n to help me get dress." Gabi pouted as she reached out back to you.

"But princesa, y/n needs to start getting ready." Miguel argued, but you smiled as you reached out and held her again. "It's ok. I'll help you finish putting your socks and shoes on."

"Can you do my hair in that pretty braid?"

"I think I have a good idea of what hairstyle I should do." You smile as you lead her upstairs to her bathroom followed by Miguel who went back to your bedroom to finish getting ready.

You sit her on her stool in front of the bathroom mirror as you help brush her hair. As you begin to style her hair by braiding some of her front parts before tying it in the back. You then grab your curling iron as you give her ends some curl plus some strands in the front. You then ask her to cover her eyes as you lightly put hair spray in her hair to keep its shape.

“All done.”

“Wow! I love it! Thank you.” Gabi smiles as you help her off the stool before having her sit on her bed in her room so you could help get her socks on.

When you finally were able to get her last shoe on Miguel knocked on the door frame. “How it going?” He smiled as he entered the room.

“She’s all ready and looks beautiful.” You smile at Gabi as she looks back at you with a bigger smile.

“You look lovely princesa. Now let’s let y/n get ready.” Said Miguel as his hand rested on your lower back.

“Wait, can I ask a question?” Asked Gabi.

“What is it Baby bug?” You brows furrow looking at Miguel, as he gave you the same expression when you both saw Gabi become nervous and shy.

“What’s wrong mija?” You and Miguel sat on both sides of Gabi to try and comfort her.

“When I was at the kid center when we went camping, I told all my friends that y/n was my mom.” Gabi looks at Miguel before looking at you as she hugs her face against you before she added, “Can I call you mom?” Though her voice was barely above a whisper both you and Miguel heard her as you both look at each other, eyes wide.

Your heart swelled so big that it was hard for you to not shed a few tears. You look back to Miguel who gives you a wide loving smile. Maybe it was your imagination but you saw his eyes become glossy as if he was trying hard to hide his tears.

“Gabi, I would be honored if you called me mom. I’ve always loved you as my daughter. My little baby bug. You’ve made me the happiest woman in the world.” You smiled as you wiped away a tear.

“Yay! I love you Mama.” Gabi hugged you again beyond happy.

“I love you too Sweetheart.” You hug her back.

After letting you hug her a bit longer Miguel speaks, “Let’s let Mama get dressed now for the party, Gabi.” Both you and Miguel’s smiles widen when he said it.

“Kk.” Gabi let go of you as you and Miguel walked out of her room and to your shared bedroom.

When you both entered Miguel picked you up as he twirled you around before holding the back of your head as he passionately captured your lips with his. When your lips parted he placed his forehead against yours as you both couldn’t stop smiling.

“I love so much Mamita.” Miguel said as he kissed away your joyous tears before kissing you one more time on the lips.

“I love you so much too Papi.” You say which Miguel’s eyes widen slightly, your smile widening as you see his cheeks slightly turn red before you looked at his eyes, clouded with lust.

As the door was already closed Miguel picked you up and tossed you on to the bed, as you let out joyous giggle as he got on top you fluttering you with butterfly kisses across your face and neck.

After taking a bit longer from your quick rendezvous with Miguel you were finally ready as you head downstairs where Miguel sat on the couch as he watched Gabi draw with her crayons on the table. As you walked down the stairs Miguel looked up as he stood up and joined you at the bottom of the steps, pulling you against him.

“Wow, Mama you look so beautiful!” Gabi said as she got up from her table and ran over to you.

“She does look really beautiful.” Said Miguel as he leaned down and kissed your cheek, knowing your red lipstick would rub on to his lips, not that either of you’d mind if it weren’t for the event your were going to.

You took a deep breath as you try to calm you rising nerves about tonight. Miguel noticed right away as he took your hand, giving it a gentle squeeze before kissing your knuckles.

“Everything will be ok tonight. No matter the reaction, always remember the home that loves you the most.” Miguel said as you looked at him before looking at Gabi gazing up at you with a big smile. You look back up to him as you take in a another deep breath before saying, “you’re right. I guess I should head over. I’ll see you both in a bit.” You leave Miguel’s hold as you blow them both a kiss before leaving the house and walking over to your parents.

Back in Miguel’s house:

“Papa, why aren’t we going with Mama?” Asked Gabi as she sat back in her place at the living room table coloring.

“You remember that Mama and Papa’s relationship is a secret, because we don’t know how others will react when they find out?”

“Yeah.”

“Well Mama is going over there to help her parents with set up for the party and make sure they are happy as Mama and I are going to tell them later tonight that we are together.”

“Yay!”

Back to you at your parent’s house:

You open the door to your parents house, embraced with the various smells of food.

“Y/n?” Yelled your mom from the kitchen.

“Yes, it’s me.” You say as you hang up your coat before walking into the kitchen to see your brothers, dad, Stephanie and your mom all helping out with food preparation.

“Hi honey. You look gorgeous!” Said your mother as she set down the spoon she was stirring in the pot before coming over to hug you.

“Hey mom, thanks. Sorry I was a bit late. Is there anything I can help with?”

“Everything is pretty much done but you can help bring the good to the dining room table.” Said your father as he finished preparing the salad.

“Ok cool.” You say as you grab a dish and bring it to the dinning room. Everyone from the kitchen followed, bringing a dish with them.

“Hey, Mom, dad?” They both look at you with a smile, waiting for you to continue. “I wanted to ask what you both thought if I was in a relationship…” you pause as you glance at Stephanie and Jack and then to Liam who was the only one who sent you a confused look. Getting the hint the couple walked back to the kitchen, Liam lagging behind wanting to know your conversation before Stephanie came back rolled her eyes as she tugged Liam out of the room by his arm.

“As I was saying, what would you guys think if I said I was in a new relationship?”

“That would be marvelous sweetheart!” Said your mother.

“Of course we would be happy for you.” Added your father.

“Would your thoughts change if I said he was slightly older than me?”

“Of course our thoughts wouldn’t change. Its always better to date a mature man.” Said your mother as your father nodded in agreement.

You smiled relieved to here their approval. Well, at least for the first part of the plan you and Miguel came up with this morning in bed for how you both were going to tell your parents of your relationship.

“How long has this relationship with this new guy been going on for?” Asked your father.

“Four and half to about 5 months.” Not including the weekend together two years ago. You left that part out.

“Right after your break up with Tyler? That’s fast sweetie.” Said your mother.

“Well, a rebound after Tyler turned into a date, then a bunch more before we became official.” You slightly lied, knowing full well sex with Miguel that night 5 months ago wasn’t a rebound after breaking up with your ex, but a night where you and Miguel were finally able to show the person you care for how much you love them.

“Oh, I see. That’s nice.” Said your mother with a small smile before returning back to the kitchen. You internally winced when you saw her reaction to your response.

Luckily your parents couldn’t push further as neighbors started to enter your the house for the holiday party.

After there was quite a few people throughout the house, making it busy Miguel walked in with Gabi.

Your parents headed over to greet the O’Hara’s as you tagged along.

“Hey Miguel. How’ve you been man? Haven’t seen you around much lately.” Said your father ash he greeted Miguel with a very light slap to his back.

“Just been extremely busy at work lately.”

“I’m hoping y/n as been able to help you.” Said your mom as she greeted Miguel with a welcoming hug.

“Yeah, she has.” Miguel looked at you as you both tried to not laugh from your mother’s oblivious words.

You and Miguel gave each other a greeting hug, still trying to make sure to not look too familiar with each other.

“Hi Gabi.” You say as you kneel down to hug her as she happily returns it. “Hi Mama.” Gabi whispered so only you could hear as she tried to hide her giggle. You smiled down at her as you brushed a stray strand of her hair from her face, secretly telling her you heard her. You stand back to your full height as you, Miguel and your parents begin to catch up with each other as you and Miguel still stayed pretending that you didn’t live with each other, and didn’t know what the other had been doing.

Watching from the corner of the room were the same brown eyes as before, glaring between you and Miguel and then down to Gabi as you helped fix her hair again. The stranger took a sip of their drink before setting it down on a side table before making their way over to you two as you were conversing with your parents.

"Long time no see, Miguel."

You, your parents, and Miguel look to the woman standing before you. Your brows furrow as you glance up at Miguel to see his eyes widen.

"Sofia? What are you doing here?"

The woman leaned down as she looked at Gabi who tucked herself between you and Miguel.

Sofia looked back up at you and Miguel, smirking before her eyes went back to Gabi. "Well obviously, I've come to see my precious daughter."

"Miguel?" You look at him as he returns your gaze before looking back at the woman with a glare.

"This is Sofia Grassi." Miguel looks at you and your parents before gazing down at his daughter who looks up at him then back at the strange woman,

"Gabi, this is your mother."

i had this dream where me, Joel and Ellie were in Jackson and him and I were together after years of surviving and then (I still don't know how) I switched to the no-outbreak time where Sarah is alive and Joel is in his 40's. We didn't knew each other and I accidently bumped into him while walking with my daughter Ellie (at that point I'm in tears) and we look at each other and I have this deja vu and he seems to have it too! We don't say anything, just smile at each other and then I wake up. (I hope it makes sense 😭)

I wish Joel was real. (especially with his silver hair and southern accent that makes my knees buckle)

A/N: omg bestie you got me screaming and crying and throwing up honestly! This dream is amazing and it sort of reminds me of X-Men Days of Future Past in which Wolverine needs to go back in time to save the mutants and prevent the extinction of mutants and humans! I like this idea so I turned into a headcanon adapting to the no mutation tlou reality hehehehe

• Joel thought the dreams he was having were beyond explanation at how weird they really were; every single night he would wake up in cold sweat, panting and wondering what the hell was going on with him

• his dream was always the same: he would dream about a world that had ended and for some reason he had survived, where monstrous creatures that seemed a mix of humans and some kind of fungus had wiped most of civilization and the world as he knew; in the dream Joel was a low life, a depressed, lonely and hard guy who had lost the will of living right after his daughter got killed and that was enough for Joel to snap wake and immediately tiptoe to her bedroom, just to watch her sleep and make sure she was alright and her bedroom was still pink and full of butterflies and not some ruin of what things used to be

• it puzzled Joel, because he had no idea where that was coming from; he wasn't one to watch zombie or horror stuff, reading books was definitely not his cup of tea and he seriously couldn't understand why kids like Sarah obsessed over watching TikToks, so he thought he didn't actually have the creativity for that

• maybe he'd eaten one of Tommy's suspicious brownies by accident?! It could be a possibility, but his brother was extra careful with these since Sarah was around

• still, it didn't matter the reason why Joel had those disturbing dreams, but the frequency they were happening, and not only that: he very often saw people he knew from his everyday life in the dream as well

• such as his former girlfriend Tess, his brother Tommy and his girl Maria, he recalls seeing those two kids who lived down the street from him... Henry and Sam, he recognized them from Sarah's school, the older brother making ends meet and always having to attend parent - teacher conferences and the little one being the gifted student his daughter told him about

• even that nut job from the other block, Kathleen showed up every once in a while, Bill and Frank, and several other friends and acquaintances Joel had met through his life and the city

• but from all the crazy shit his, what baffled him the most was that you and your daughter Ellie featured in his dream as well; he knew Ellie was a firecracker from all the school meetings he'd attended, which honestly amused him. He thought she was pretty strong and smart and it always made him chuckle when she put a boy back into his place

• but it was so confusing to him that he almost had a fatherly bond with her, at the same time he had a relationship with you. Joel had always found you attractive and he very often kept in the back of his mind his desire of asking you out, but he never went through it, and yet, in his apocalyptic dreams you were going strong, it was just odd

• Joel kept thinking of those dreams for a few days, he even considered seeing a shrink after Sarah told him he should do it, but being a stubborn Miller the way he was, he just shrugged it off and eventually, his sleep went back to normal and he got too caught up with work to pay attention to things like that

• it was only one weekend where he was taking a walk around the neighborhood with Sarah, he ended up running into you, smiling and waving gently, he felt his heart skip a beat, thinking of your apocalyptic romance and thinking of how crazy it would be to miss something he never really had

• when you saw your neighbor Joel waving and smiling from across the street, you immediately reciprocate, he was handsome and you would be lying if you said you didn't have the slightest crush on him, but he would think you were crazy if he ever found out you had the craziest dream about him, in which you both had to survive in an apocalyptic world while being a couple 🥴

Okay let’s talk about Murder Drones Finale 😭😭😭

SPOILERS FOR EP 8! ALL OF IT. MURDER DRONES SPOILERS HERE

First off that opening was so cool. Brayden's still on fucking fire, the teacher is so over it. I love it.

Nuzi being Cringe!

THEY ARE SO FUCKING CRINGE YOUR HONOR I LOVE THEM! Uzi asked are they dating and he says "That was the plan!" I LOVE THEMMMMM OMGGGG! I can't get a good screenshot of it but they do wrap they tails together during the fall.

The Animation

I just- it's so fucking good. The red lights as the planet is destroyed. The way that the purple light of Uzi's Null reflects on Cyn's robotic and flesh parts. This is an episode you gotta watch frame by frame. I'm just gonna lump cinematography and shot choices in here too. Like the only way for everyone to truly understand what I'm talking about I NEED YOU TO WATCH THE EPISODE! Like it's well known that every episode is a reference to a horror movie, the Prom is Carrie, Cabin Fever is Friday the 13th, etc. I feel like we don't appreciate how scary this show actually is. The way shots are laid out and scenes are paced give off such unease. It's great I love it. I'm sorry but Uzi trying to put her own heart back in her chest AND save N who is being disemboweled is INSANE WORK. AND THE HANDS! THE HANDS!

AND THE EXPRESSIONS! YALL- FUCK- getting across so much emotion with robot characters is always my favorite thing to see.

And of course! Uzi, N, and V vs Cyn and J. I- it's just- y'all go watch this fight pls. This shot is so fucking beautiful...

J vs V

So J knew the whole time. Big Yikes. ALSO MY PRINCESS BABY GIRL IS ALIVE! God on J for living past the end credits but WOW- for Cyn to trick her... I wonder how much of that she really thought was Tessa.

Khan, Lizzy and Thad

I love this shot of Khan so much.

I still believe that the "secret friend" was Khan and/or Nori just because there is no reason for Lizzy to not tell Thad (also V texted her AFTER the planet exploded to let her know she's alive which she wouldn't need to do if she still thought Tessa was Tessa). It would be funny if it was all three. Nori was gonna get the cross to the surface and give it Lizzy to get to Khan. Khan asked Lizzy to find the hideout since she was hanging out with V in between Ep2 and 3 and then V texted her after the planet exploded to stall J. Honestly love that for Lizzy did the most and cared the least. Side note, the way Lizzy is so unbothered in the fight confirms to me that she is the homeroom teacher's daughter.

But yeah! I'm glad these three made it to the end and they didn't do the thing where Lizzy and Uzi become besties. I like Lizzy as V's friend more. Love love LOVE- Khan looking at Nori's core and saying "Kinda hot..?" Nice to know that the Doorman women have a type. And Thad. Sweet little prince Thad. Just a good dude.

Cyn (this whole part is rambly)

I've been very specific about referring to Absolute Solver as Cyn. I usually write "Absolute Solver/Cyn" when reffering to them. Cyn is dead though. Uzi burned up her core and ate the [null]. So for brevity, I'm just gonna call it/them Cyn.

Speaking of Cyn. I love Cyn. I don't think I talk about how much I love Cyn. I can't talk about Cyn without talking about her relationship to N, V, and J. N, V, Nori and Uzi all refer to Cyn as her. J refers to Cyn as it. Cause that's all it really is. Cyn was the host- someone who is long gone. Even when Uzi was taken over V was angry at Cyn: "Same horrors, huh Cyn?"

J on the other hands says: "It tricked me too." She's knows what the Solver is and sees it for what it is, a virus. We've seen from the memories that N and V (especially N) were a lot closer to Cyn than J who sided with Tessa and the Elliots. This distinction of calling Cyn shows that N and V can't or won't distinguish the two. This is someone they grew up and lived with. N is hesitant and scared cause that's who little sister vs V who is angry cause this is the creature that replaced Cyn. Remember V says "We do our job, and that thing leaves us alone." As far as V is concerned Cyn was always like this and she just wants to save her team, especially N. (As far as Uzi and Nori go, they've never known the Solver by any other name except Cyn so no need to change it. Absolute Solver is a mouthful compared to Cyn). My point it, it hurts seeing the person you love become a monster and even more to know that Cyn 1001 was never there. The only time we saw her was as that little scared Robot in the pile. They never really knew her and maybe there's hope that Cyn, their Cyn, is in there but she isn't. She never was, it's always been the Solver.

And because I have to mention it. In N's flashbacks after Cyn caves his chest open we see flashes of this happening at the mansion and V's body on the floor. Which was expected, we know Cyn made them but what I'm thinking is, Cyn DEFINITELY used N to kill Tessa.

ANYWAY- now I get to talk about how much I love this fucking little freak. She is so CREEPY! I love everything about Cyn. I love how she moves- how her movements are so creepy and fluid. Like all the animation is fluid but she moves extra-fluid. It's creepy she's creepy I love her! I love how much personality she has, they totally could have went the soulless machine route but no, just like the Worker Drones she HAS personality! She sadistic, malicious, and manipulative. Genuinely there is so much wrong with her. Like there is so much about her to talk about that I can't even explain in words. Better to assimilate than explain tbh. Like she shows genuine interest in the Murder Drones. She kept their personalities in tact because of N, even knowing that V and J would be liabilities. She even told Tessa as long as she didn't get in her way, Tessa would be unharmed. She could've easily killed the banquet without all the flair but she was angry at the Elliot family for threatening her, N and the rest of the Drones. The singularity is the point where technology reaches when we, humans, can no longer control it. It is indistinguishable from our concept of humanity. I'm not gonna get all philosophical and ponder the legitimacy of the Drones AI, I think the show does that well enough. They have thoughts and feelings, they are alive, plain and simple. This story is not new btw, robots living in the remains of human society and having their own personalities and living as an extent of humanity has been done before. The examples I can think of are Wall-E, Stray and I Have No Mouth... works too (kinda). Basically, Cyn as the antagonist have her own personality that goes beyond the mindless machine route is so fucking cool and I love it. I love has antagonistic she is to everyone, even people she likes. It's not like she doesn't understand empathy, she just doesn't care. "Your copies will forgive me." And again! The is not new, this is not a new character type, I'm sure but it's done well here. She is amazing and I love everything about her. Cyn you are freaking crazy baby girl and I love you.

The Ending

For simplicity’s sake I’ve decided to only do the dynamic of an mc dating two of the main 6 for now but I’m happy to make more later if people are interested

Asra and Nadia

Interesting but I see them more as friends

I think they would both be eager to provide mc with anything they could possibly want

Nadia clearly values Asra’s opinion and they have a mutual respect and friendship

I think they could pretty easily share mc

However I find the idea of them strangely compelling

I think it a world where mc chose Lucio it would be neat to watch Asra struggle to put aside his own feelings about Lucio to keep his apprentice close

It would get messy but honestly that’s part of what makes it interesting

Lucio seems to harbor no real ill will towards Nadia either and I think they could make peace with one another

I think that they honestly would end up getting along but it would take a while

They would balance each other out in some respects

I think they would also eventually bond over trauma. They both lost their families at a young age, were both hurt by Lucio and have permanent physical marks of that trauma, and both struggle to see themselves as worthy of good things

If they don’t kill each other in the first month I think they could be great together

Kung Jin has keys to everyone’s rooms. Note that they did not give him the keys, he’s somehow just acquired them. No one knows how he managed this, no keys are missing, but he has them all the same for “reasons”.

Kung Jin used to have a crush on Takeda but that passed back when they were still teenagers. Now they are ride or die besties that will occasionally kiss the homies good night.

In a surprise twist no one was expecting, Takeda turns out to be the only straight person on the team. Given the fact that he was raised by an emotionally repressed ninja in love with an equally emotionally repressed assassin, this came as a shock to many.

Jacqui does NOT like Satoshi. She’ll play nice with him for everyone’s sake, but she won’t easily forgive him for all the crap he’s put Takeda through physically and all the stuff he’s still being put through emotionally.

Kung Jin is also wary of Satoshi and keeps a very close eye on him. Between him and Jacqui, Satoshi is being watched like a hawk.

Cassie would smash the mindflare in Baldur’s Gate. Yes, she gets judged for it, and though Jacqui is very familiar with the benefits of sleeping with a telepath, it is still a squid, and it is gross, and Cass should feel bad. (Kung Jin would do the mindflare too)

Takeda is an amazing cook. He used to help his mother in the kitchen before she died so he’s kept up the skill as a way of keeping her memory alive. Also out of necessity because Hanzo can’t cook to save his life. Cassie often jokes that Takeda will make a great house husband for Jacqui one day.

Cassie, Frost, and Takeda are all metalheads.

Cassie is the only one that can get away with calling Frost Elsa.

A small part of Kuai Liang was happy to see Satoshi back at the Lin Kuei, but a much larger, less selfish, part of his heart was braking for Hanzo.

Frost is very protective of Satoshi but she is also very protective of her friends as well so she is put between a rock and a hard place when it comes to his feud with the SF team.

Takeda starts spending a lot more time with Kenshi and a lot less time with the Shirai Ryu after Satoshi’s return, which honestly just ends up hurting himself and everyone involved even more.

It’s Kenshi that convinces Takeda to return to Hanzo’s side because though he is Takeda’s biological father, Hanzo is his legal guardian and by all rights his father as well and the man has been sending him nonstop messages asking about him, worried sick that he had somehow upset the boy.

The look of pure, unashamed, joy on Hanzo's face when Takeda returned had Satoshi seething.

Could you imagine fighting side-by-side with the Master Chief from Installation 04 all the way to the end of the war, and meeting him again on Requiem. "I wanted to be like you, Chief."

YES, I can. I just adore these asks, gets my creative juices running. I really said we're making a short-fic with this.

The first thing that comes into mind is a Marine or an ODST that fought side by side with John through the ring. Someone who he ends up trusting considering they went through all this with him, the halo, the flood, and all that ‘fun’ stuff between. Honestly, he’s impressed they haven’t been killed yet but also how you had the ability to keep going despite everything you had faced and seen. John can think of commanders and captains who didn’t have the same resilience as you. He might even make a brief comment that you would be a good squad leader or commanding officer much to your delight.

So when he first goes MIA, it’s hard to believe that the Master Chief is gone and there is a lot of denial, but the years press on, and time doesn’t wait on anyone. I also think you would not only be grieving John’s ‘death’ but also Sergeant Johnson’s as he would’ve been your commanding officer during the war and a role model. Ultimately, you take John’s words to heart and climb up the ranks into command.

There isn’t much surprise when you are scouted out for the Spartan-IV program as one of the newest generation of Spartans by Musa Ghanem. It is surprising when he starts talking about John in an almost familiar tone and how he heard about the battles the two of you faced together on the halo. You are sold on the idea of the program as soon as Musa brings the Master Chief into the picture, what else was there than to be like him? And that maybe, if he did somehow come back, you could even have John’s back and fight for him.

As you delve into the Spartan-IV program with five others, you progress through the augmentation process, and enhancements reshape your body which lasts nearly three weeks. When it comes to training and field exercises, you and Sarah Palmer wipe the floor with the rest of the candidates. By the end of the program, you took the position of lieutenant commander as Sarah's right-hand Spartan. [Note: you and Sarah are probably besties after bonding by kicking ass. Also, Sarah has to stop you from committing something that might get you court marital a multitude of times on the UNSC Infinity, aka you almost punching the daylight out of 'captain' Andrew Del Rio.]

By the time Requiem rolls around, your reputation as a Spartan-IV and a capable leader has grown. So when you hear the distress signal, you know it's Cortana by voice alone and you are demanding to investigate, which almost prompts a fight between the captain and yourself that Commander Lasky has to intervene and side with you.

When the UNSC Infinity crashes on Requiem, you manage to round up a squad of Spartan-IV and go scout the jungle area. It's the flash of metallic green that had you holding up your hand to stop the others from firing.

"Chief?" You call out in disbelief, your gun lower just a bit. You knew there was a possibility he was still alive but seeing him in the flesh, if it wasn't for the Spartan training, you would've started crying.

"No way...[Y/n]?" The feminine voice rang through your helmet and the sound of her on TEAMCOM had a grin touching your lips.

"'Tana! Long time no see." You gave your team a signal to hold off while you approached the Master Chief, he almost seemed to be scanning you up and down.

"You're huge! And wearing MJOLNIR."

"Ma'am yes ma'am," You chuckled. "Hi, Chief. It's good to see you up and causing trouble." This time around, John didn't seem to tower over you, he was still taller but it no longer felt like you had to crank your neck up.

"You became a Spartan?" It was a question, the first words to hear him say after all these years and you were grinning to the point your cheeks hurt.

"I wanted to be like you, Chief." You gave him a shrug. "I got scouted and here we are."

"I feel like there is more to the story than just that." Cortana quipped and you could absolutely imagine her with her hand on her hips, giving you that pointed look she did back on installation 04.

"Tell you what, we make it out of here, I buy drinks and I'll tell you everything that's happened in the last four and half years." The Spartan-ll tilted his head ever so slightly before giving you a curt nod.

"I think we would like that very much." The teasing tone in Cortana's voice didn't miss you by much and there was certainly a smile in her tone. Was she teasing you? That would have to be figured out later as several blips appeared on your radar. "So, just like old times?"

The fact Bill and Frank died together and it was lovely and they were happy instead of Bill finding Frank hanging like in the game. I'm glad they got to go together peacefully.

Seeing him set up that town, having a full blown plan, setting up traps and building a goddamn generator, relaxing as he lets his traps take care of infected, just enjoying his steak and laughing. I was scared Frank was gonna use Bill, and he did at first, but then seeing him genuinely begin to love and care for him. Refusing to let Bill die when he got shot even though Bill told him Joel could care of him, wanting to marry Bill on his last day.

Honestly Frank just being sassy and dragging Bill lmao. 'We need friends babe. Sweetheart please you just sit in the basement all the time. You need a social life other than me, and for my own sanity, I need one too. So I've made a friend over the radio and you can't do anything about it. Now get me my paint'.

Tess being an AllyTM. Her and Frank being besties whilst their paranoid husbands scowl at each other.

Joel unable to say the word 'partner' for Bill and Frank lmao. You just adopted a lesbian. Honey, you've got a big storm coming.

I was hoping Ellie would get to meet Bill and he would tell her about Frank (Before going into the ep, based on the game) so she would have a nice little internal 'I'm not the only gay in the world thank god' moment. But I didn't mind since the whole episode was amazing.

The strawberry scene.

Bill apologising for getting older quicker but then it's Frank that needs the help later. My heart.

All I 'didn't like' (/Joking) was that they didn't hide literally everything in that house in the secret basement below the basement so raiders won't find anything when they come, so it'd still be there if they ever need to go back there. But that's just because I wouldn't be able to deal with it if that were me. I'd be making sure no one finds that shit. It's mine, and I'd go back for it when possible. Maybe. At some point. Hopefully. Or live there myself if I wasn't in Joel and Ellie's situation. I also wanna see Joel swinging upside-down from a chain at some point.

Joking aside, this episode is great. The show continues to not only meet my expectations, but exceed them. I can't take the fact that there's only nine episodes this season because I don't want it to end and I hope season two isn't about the second game, but for the show's later seasons to be about the years and adventures Joel and Ellie have together after the events of the first game, if season one meets the end of the first game. Because I love them and need more of this.

I'm so excited to see where this show goes. It has the perfect balance of sticking to the source material yet also doing new stuff that also surprises people who have played the game. I adore it.

I think girl Stannis honestly.

Girl Robert would be, at least I imagine she’d be, like kind of an Alyssa Targaryen esque lady who tries to wear armor and loves to fuck and drink. I think Rhaegar would see her as a very strong Valyrian woman who would give him the kids he needs for his prophecy. While Robert would find the prophecy stuff weird as SHIT I think they’d probably be like, mostly okay, especially if Robert has three kids. And Lyanna would be a different problem - by that I mean she’s engaged to someone else, it MIGHT be stannis but it might not bc stannis & ned are NOT gonna be besties in the vale the way nedbert were. Would Rhaegar still try something stupid? I mean yeah, but we’re looking at a wildly different type of rebellion here that MIGHT not even be HIS fault. I think a girl Robert could wind up being crafty enough - kinda like a Sabitha Frey or Johanna Lannister - to get herself out of that sort of situation alive, if the issue is Aerys’ madness and not Rhaegar’s. If we assume Robert only has two kids, and Rhaegar still makes off with Lyanna, the rebellion is in the hands of Stannis and Ned, and if they roll up to the capital and Tywin has killed Stannis’ older sister…I mean that feels like Tywin has a suicide wish ya kno lol, like I think he’d handle that way different. Altho even then, I mean, Robert is the face of the rebellion because if the Lyanna connection. If Stannis isn’t engaged, is he even a big part of the rebellion? I think he’d join the rebellion bc of the murders of Brandon, Rickard, et al, but I think this becomes The Stark Rebellion.

But girl Stannis…..I mean listen we don’t know why Stannis doesn’t like sex. Maybe hes gay. Maybe he’s asexual. Maybe he just has a low sex drive but wouldn’t identify with either of those labels. Maybe he’s mostly shooting blanks and Shireen was dumb luck. Point is I don’t think it’s likely a girl Stannis is going to like sex any more, and I think she’s going to resent Rhaegar a lot. But if she only has two kids, things could go roughly the same as in canon…and having Robert’s sister in hand is going to make Aerys CRAZY when the rebellion kicks off. “Come on, Y/N, you can’t cling onto my shirt forever,” your mother urges you with a small chuckle.

You stiffen up in your spot at the edge of the picnic bench, and your eyes bounce between the several children on and around the playground equipment. Mixtures of squeals and cheerful laughter ring above the christmas song playing from the outdoor speaker your new neighbors, the Choi family, set up. You forgot if it was the one with the son older than you or the son your age, though—you didn’t exactly bother to learn their names when your mother introduced you.

“Go on, Y/N.” Her voice fills your ears again as she gently pushes you off the bench. Speak of the devil. 

Shoving your hands in your pockets, you kick the dust with your feet and you keep your gaze cast down on the ground. You didn’t want to socialize—why would you want to make new friends when you had perfectly good ones back in your old neighborhood? Why couldn’t you just go back there? Or just snatch your mother’s dingy old flip phone for a couple minutes to send them a message?

Besides, most of the children here don’t seem like ones you’d be particularly… compatible with. You shouldn’t be one to judge, but the majority of the ones doing laps on the playground equipment couldn’t have been older than five or six. At your big age of nine years old, there’s not much you would have in common with a literal kindergartener. Plus, it seems like they had all formed a friend group of their own, and you’re more than content just watching them chase each other around, gleeful, high-pitched squeals bubbling from their sticky mouths.

Turning your head slightly, you find a group of teenagers sitting around another bench several feet away from all the adults, two of which had their bottoms perched on top of the table as they faced their friends. You would approach them, but just like how you wouldn’t exactly favor befriending the five-year-olds with crayons up their noses, the teenagers likely thought the same of you. Closing your eyes in despair, you groan to yourself and resort to dragging your feet across the dirt.

Why did you even have to move?

As you let out a sigh, you perk up at the fact you could see it in the cold air. It sparks an insurmountable amount of joy for some reason. Perhaps it’s because of the timing of the puff of air with the line, ’Jack Frost nipping at your nose’ that rings from the speakers at the other end of the small neighborhood park, but it causes a giggle to slip past your lips. It’s almost like a new light under the already-dimming sky, the soft pinks and oranges slowly dissipating as the sun begins to dip behind the mountains and give way to the overcast above. 

However, you quickly get distracted by the sight of a boy your age—or at least, you assumed—and you hesitantly step closer.

And there he was.

He was short, upside down on the monkey bars, and wearing the most obnoxious shade of purple you had ever laid eyes on. You aren’t sure what hurts more: the sun in your eyes or staring at his sweater. 

Looking away from the light gray clouds that hung above the park, you let your gaze fall to the boy. He watches you quietly as he continues to hang upside down, and you notice the small smile that paints his slowly reddening face.

Here goes nothing, you guess.

“Um… hi.”

He stays silent, staring at you with his beady eyes. 

Gulping, you continue. “I'm Y/N.” 

He mumbles something back, but you can barely make out what he says and you tilt your head slightly in confusion.

“Huh?”

“My name is Jeongin,” he repeats, only the slightest bit louder. 

A smile of your own quickly forms on your face. You raise a hand up for him to shake, and he just stares at it for a second before moving one of his outstretched arms to meet you, his hand grasping yours at an awkward angle. You both can’t help but giggle as you give your best attempt at a handshake.

“Nice to meet you, Jeongin,” you say, slowly pulling your hand away and letting his drop above, or rather, below his upside-down head. “I'm Y/N.”

“You said that already,” He says, and his bluntness makes you chuckle.

Slowly, Jeongin maneuvers himself so he’s sitting on top of the monkey bars instead of hanging upside down. Once he gets upright and steadies himself from the blood rushing down from his head, he stares back down at you. 

You stuff your hands into your pockets and heave out a sigh. “My mom says I need a friend,” you explain your current plight to Jeongin, and you find his soft gaze once again. It’s strange, really—you've only exchanged a few words with this boy, but you already feel comfortable enough to complain about your mother’s nagging to him.

You suppose that helps your next words spill out more easily.

“Want to be friends?” 

You watch Jeongin expectantly as he looks down, picking at a piece of lint on his hideous purple sweater. He ponders your question for a minute, and you feel a wave of relief wash over you when he finally nods in response. If your mom wanted you to have a friend so badly, there you go. You got one.

You stand there awkwardly, your eyes drifting back up to the sky for a moment. It occurs to you that you’ve never asked someone to be friends with you; it’s always just kind of happened.

And now you’re stuck, unsure what to do next.

You let out another huff of air, another smile tickling your lips as you watch the faint, white puff form in front of your eyes. Then you look back up at the boy in the obnoxious purple sweater, who seems just as amused by the cold air as you as he lets out his own breath, exhaling like a small dragon.

A chuckle escapes your parted lips as you watch him, kicking his legs lightly as he stares up at the sky. After another minute, you speak again.

“Can I sit up there with you too?”

Nodding his head, he mumbles a small “yeah” and the corners of your mouth twitch up as you hurriedly climb your way up onto the monkey bars. You dangle your legs through the same section as Jeongin’s, and you shift your position slightly as you steady yourself.

A gust of cold air causes you to shiver and as a response, you pull your puffy coat closer to you. This seems to make Jeongin chuckle fondly, and you feel his eyes linger on you for a second before he looks out at the horizon. Neither of you are tall enough to see much above the houses in front of you, but you figure you can use your imaginations to picture what lies beyond that. It’ll have to do.

You both remain silent for a while like this, allowing the chatter and Christmas music below to fill the air around you. It’s comfortable, it feels like a weighted blanket wrapped around your shoulders—which is funny to say because you’re sharing this moment with a kid you’ve barely known for ten minutes. You don’t mind, though. By the looks of it, and the friendly glances you exchange with each other, Jeongin doesn’t seem to, either.

Suddenly, a cold, wet spot falls onto your nose, causing you to gasp and look up.

“Is that…”

Jeongin tilts his head up as well, and he chuckles when another wet drop lands on his face. Meanwhile, you’re in awe. You let your mouth fall open, and your eyes swirl with pure wonderment as you watch the white crystals above you flutter down. It sends chills down your spine, but wraps you up in a cocoon of warmth at the same time. 

“Snow…” is all you manage to mumble. 

Jeongin turns to you, a small smile tugging at his lips. “Have you never seen snow before?”

You glance at him once, shake your head, and look back up at the sky. 

The boy’s jaw drops. It almost mirrors your dazed expression, except his features are twisted in surprise. But it’s true—snow was something you had only witnessed in movies. As far as you were concerned, the fluffy, white particles only ever graced the stop-motion characters on the old-timey Christmas cartoons you rewatched every year, or the main couple in whatever cheesy Hallmark movie your parents decided to indulge in.

That is, until now.

You didn’t know at that moment what type of future you had in store, but you know one thing: the snow is beautiful. And as you follow Jeongin down the monkey bars and to your first snowball fight, you have an inkling that you’ll be sticking with him for a while.

Maybe this move won’t be so bad after all.
