Okay, thought of this just because I happen to be listening to it, but you know how EPIC has a handful of lines that tend to be misheard? Like. Jorge even has videos where he just acknowledges it and has fun with it, which I love so, so much about him. "Well done, you lied to me" is still one of my favorites XD

But I realized recently that I have been unironically mishearing a lyric in Luck Runs Out and never questioned it because it made sense to me.

The lyrics are "How much longer 'til the snake breaks free? How much longer 'til your great days cease? How much longer 'til your strength takes leave?"

I heard the first and third lines correctly, but instead of "How much longer 'til your great days cease?", I've been hearing "How much longer 'til you break daisies?"

I thought it just meant like. how much longer until you become so focused on your goal that you carelessly trample the innocent? I figured it was just a saying of some kind being thrown into the lines, like it made sense to me that being so focused on the horizon causes you to break daisies under your feet, since you wouldn't be looking at what you're stepping on to get where you're trying to go. It seemed like a perfect comparison to becoming so hyperfixated on your goal that you hurt the good and the bad, the daisies and dirt alike, because you've stopped caring to see the difference.

It's not the correct line, but I'm gonna keep singing it like that. Thanks, Jorge! Your musical has caused me to accidentally create a new, very meaningful saying by virtue of me being partially deaf in one ear XD

...I wonder if I can like. officially coin it somewhere. "Careful that you don't break daisies in pursuit of the horizon", or something similar. It just makes too much sense, sort of like a more cautionary version of "Don't neglect to do good in the pursuit of great".

In an alternate universe it's definitely a common phrase. Probably built its way into the linguistics of multiple languages, just like... Coach is telling your buddy "don't break daisies" when he's knocking people over obsessively trying to get his 4th 3-point shot in a basketball game or whatever, idk XD

Anyway. Just thoughts.

Could probably rant about it, if I wanted, given a little more research, but idk.

sometimes as therapy for rir i have to take a couple ov hours out and play party music and imagine all the characters as actors that are having a big wrap party after finishing the season . the production company has rented out an entire wetherspoons and theyre all making tiktoks to pitbulls hotel room service dexters on the table doing a handstand briar and duchess are having a dance off milton rocks up for half an hour for karaoke before returning 2 his nuclear family the 99p pints are flowing the next season isnt in production for two months there is so much pain in the world but none in this room. ive had 2 do this approximately 11 times since i first started writing thronecoming again

Actually if you think about it BBQ!ENA is similar to Ruby. Ruby has moments of agression, but she's generally diplomatic. She's also pretty defined by her job and role in the greater story, not really who she is.

me Saturday night/Sunday morning: my ex-partner avoids me and I wanna be friends againnnnn 😭😭😭😭

me driving to work today: yeah no shit they avoid you, they met you when you were down horrendous, decided to introduce you to their social scene, said constantly how they looked up to your style and dancing etc. etc. and wanted you to teach them your skills, they got some clout from being associated with you at the goth club, then they fumbled you, you crashed out at them & cut them off, told anyone who would listen about how they did you wrong, and then proceeded to continue to do cosplay (& do it better than them), became even MORE popular in the goth scene, got BETTER at styling and makeup as a result of doing cosplay, started modeling in fashion shows and being asked to promo events, you out-dress them at every social function y’all are both present at (and remember, they wanted you to teach them how to be like you), you’ve received literal MILLIONS of views on TikTok (a platform they got chased off of), and a lot of their friends seem to tolerate you still. Like, in a year you have glowed up & grown as a cosplayer and a person while people are telling you they’ve stagnated since last year when y’all fell out. And they hid from you for an entire party like a little pussy bitch while you were just dancing and minding your business, even though they could literally snap you in half if they felt like it.

Lizzies Life Series Shadow-curse

Since Lizzies last life memories began, shes had this... curse. It grows and shrinks as it pleases, and as she also notices, fluctuates with strong emotion, especially stress, fear and anger.. She has trouble seeing out of her right eye, some days better than others. When it grows quickly it burns her skin, often weakening her senses. If emotions are strong but not outward, it simmers and itches with a slight burn feeling. Its appearance is almost otherworldly, not being affected by shadow or light easily. Its texture is easily indistinguishable from her skin and hair texture, but lacking in pores and imperfections.

Last Life

In last life, after discovering this, she shares it with her closest companions, Cleo, Ren and BigB, and when she eventually has a falling out with the fairy fort, she becomes paranoid and terrified her secret will surface and she will be viewed as a monster. She becomes terrified of her allies and when she reaches her red life she runs from Ren, severing their bond.

Secret Life

In Secret Life Lizzie decided that getting close to NO ONE was better than losing anyone. Having less allies and no group members made her feel more safe... but also more lonely. She realized this made her curse bubble up more, so she tried to host a party, but only Joel showed up. That would be it. No friends then. But no friends also meant no one to have her back. While trying to complete her task, she fell into the void on her last life, being the first to break the cycle of dying first. Her body was overtaken by the curse, seething in dark silent pain until wild life. She doesn't talk much about what happened in the void. All that is known is the darkness and pain. Was there more?

Wild Life

Lizzie can't deal with the pain alone. In the beginning she searches for a team that she can hopefully make friends with and finds Scar and Jimmy who enthusiastically accept her into their group, forming the bamboozlers. Lizzie begins to exhibit 'random' flare ups that she can t judge. Trying to hide her curse from Jimmy and Scar might prove difficult ....

This was... a much better read than expected, and Hylia it might make your heart hurt. Especially if you're a system. Especially if you've got a Four fictive.

It captures the experiences of being well integrated with your headmates very well, in our experiences, and it's a fascinating read on that front.
