The Welsh word for mushrooms is ‘Madarch’. The ‘ch’ at the end is pronounced like a ‘k’ with wind- ‘kh’, like the ‘ch’ in the Scottish word for lake- ‘loch’. So say - ma-dar-kh.

Llyffant is the Welsh word for frog or toad.

The two L’s at the start of the word work together to make a hissing sound… put your tongue in the same position as you would to pronounce an L and the blow air round one side of your tongue. Sounds like- Ll-uf-ant. In Welsh one F is pronounced as a V but two F’s together are a soft F.
