i think we just don't have enough information about pearlrose to form an entirely concrete opinion of them/their arc. that's my take. but people act like one thing is 100% true when, well, we see it through Steven's perspective and a great deal of what we know about Rose is from the artbook. i'm guilty of acting as if ambiguous interpretations are hard-and-fast truth, too, so i'm not trying to be high and mighty here. we just gotta remember when we're discoursing, that there are real people with their own emotions, perspective, experiences etc. behind the screen and all that feeds into their interpretations of what's not even an expressively clear timeline of an inherently messy relationship. a different opinion is not an attack.

I've been meaning to start a legacy challenge for a while now but couldn't settle on one until I stumbled upon this one (ya'll know my game is unhinged, so it just seemed fitting).
