Which Education🎓📚 is right for you?
Mercury rules your interest and consequently which type of course you would select.
Now you have to see how Mercury is placed. For example if Mercury is conjunct Moon it would have same effect as Mercury in Cancer or Moon opposite Mercury.
Mercury -Sun: It is called Budh Aditya yoga. These people can shine in political science, geology, sociology, medicine and they can be good leaders too. They may prepare for competitive exams.
Mercury-Moon: Some changes or confusion in choice of course. Can study more than one subject but both vastly different from each other. Chemical, hotel management, nutrition, chef, psychology, tarot and intuitive studies.
Mercury-Mars: Some obstacles in education, breaks and interruptions (dropping classes), engineering (especially related to machines, drawings, plans, civil, electronics), medicine (especially related to surgery), fire and safety engineering,
Mercury-Venus: Sales, marketing, HR, interior designing, makeup courses, all type of fine arts, vocational courses, acting courses.
Mercury-Saturn: Engineering (like construction , petroleum, mining core subjects), structural engineering, drafting, administrative studies.
Mercury-Jupiter: Finance, CPA, CMA, accounting, teaching, law field, journalism, VJ, pilots, aeronautical.
Mercury- Rahu: Chemical, nuclear subjects, cinematography, software courses, digital marketing, share markets, computer hardware, import export, AI, Machine Learning courses.

Please tell us how to get into IT without a degree! I have an interview for a small tech company this week and I’m going in as admin but as things expand I can bootstrap into a better role and I’d really appreciate knowing what skills are likely to be crucial for making that pivot.
Absolutely!! You'd be in a great position to switch to IT, since as an admin, you'd already have some familiarity with the systems and with the workplace in general. Moving between roles is easier in a smaller workplace, too.
So, this is a semi-brief guide to getting an entry-level position, for someone with zero IT experience. That position is almost always going to be help desk. You've probably heard a lot of shit about help desk, but I've always enjoyed it.
So, here we go! How to get into IT for beginners!
The most important thing on your resume will be
✨~🌟Certifications!!🌟~✨
Studying for certs can teach you a lot, especially if you're entirely new to the field. But they're also really important for getting interviews. Lots of jobs will require a cert or degree, and even if you have 5 years of experience doing exactly what the job description is, without one of those the ATS will shunt your resume into a black hole and neither HR or the IT manager will see it.
First, I recommend getting the CompTIA A+. This will teach you the basics of how the parts of a computer work together - hardware, software, how networking works, how operating systems work, troubleshooting skills, etc. If you don't have a specific area of IT you're interested in, this is REQUIRED. Even if you do, I suggest you get this cert just to get your foot in the door.
I recommend the CompTIA certs in general. They'll give you a good baseline and look good on your resume. I only got the A+ and the Network+, so can't speak for the other exams, but they weren't too tough.
If you're more into development or cybersecurity, check out these roadmaps. You'll still benefit from working help desk while pursuing one of those career paths.
The next most important thing is
🔥🔥Customer service & soft skills🔥🔥
Sorry about that.
I was hired for my first ever IT role on the strength of my interview. I definitely wasn't the only candidate with an A+, but I was the only one who knew how to handle customers (aka end-users). Which is, basically, be polite, make the end-user feel listened to, and don't make them feel stupid. It is ASTOUNDING how many IT people can't do that. I've worked with so many IT people who couldn't hide their scorn or impatience when dealing with non-tech-savvy coworkers.
Please note that you don't need to be a social butterfly or even that socially adept. I'm autistic and learned all my social skills by rote (I literally have flowcharts for social interactions), and I was still exceptional by IT standards.
Third thing, which is more for you than for your resume (although it helps):
🎇Do your own projects🎇
This is both the most and least important thing you can do for your IT career. Least important because this will have the smallest impact on your resume. Most important because this will help you learn (and figure out if IT is actually what you want to do).
The certs and interview might get you a job, but when it comes to doing your job well, hands-on experience is absolutely essential. Here are a few ideas for the complete beginner. Resources linked at the bottom.
Start using the command line. This is called Terminal on Mac and Linux. Use it for things as simple as navigating through file directories, opening apps, testing your connection, that kind of thing. The goal is to get used to using the command line, because you will use it professionally.
Build your own PC. This may sound really intimidating, but I swear it's easy! This is going to be cheaper than buying a prebuilt tower or gaming PC, and you'll learn a ton in the bargain.
Repair old PCs. If you don't want to or can't afford to build your own PC, look for cheap computers on Craiglist, secondhand stores, or elsewhere. I know a lot of universities will sell old technology for cheap. Try to buy a few and make a functioning computer out of parts, or just get one so you can feel comfortable working in the guts of a PC.
Learn Powershell or shell scripting. If you're comfortable with the command line already or just want to jump in the deep end, use scripts to automate tasks on your PC. I found this harder to do for myself than for work, because I mostly use my computer for web browsing. However, there are tons of projects out there for you to try!
Play around with a Raspberry Pi. These are mini-computers ranging from $15-$150+ and are great to experiment with. I've made a media server and a Pi hole (network-wide ad blocking) which were both fun and not too tough. If you're into torrenting, try making a seedbox!
Install Linux on your primary computer. I know, I know - I'm one of those people. But seriously, nothing will teach you more quickly than having to compile drivers through the command line so your Bluetooth headphones will work. Warning: this gets really annoying if you just want your computer to work. Dual-booting is advised.
If this sounds intimidating, that's totally normal. It is intimidating! You're going to have to do a ton of troubleshooting and things will almost never work properly on your first few projects. That is part of the fun!

Tips
DO NOT work at an MSP. That stands for Managed Service Provider, and it's basically an IT department which companies contract to provide tech services. I recommend staying away from them. It's way better to work in an IT department where the end users are your coworkers, not your customers.
DO NOT trust remote entry-level IT jobs. At entry level, part of your job is schlepping around hardware and fixing PCs. A fully-remote position will almost definitely be a call center.
DO write a cover letter. YMMV on this, but every employer I've had has mentioned my cover letter as a reason to hire me.
DO ask your employer to pay for your certs. This applies only to people who either plan to move into IT in the same company, or are already in IT but want more certs.
DO NOT work anywhere without at least one woman in the department. My litmus test is two women, actually, but YMMV. If there is no woman in the department in 2024, and the department is more than 5 people, there is a reason why no women work there.
DO have patience with yourself and keep an open mind! Maybe this is just me, but if I can't do something right the first time, or if I don't love it right away, I get very discouraged. Remember that making mistakes is part of the process, and that IT is a huge field which ranges from UX design to hardware repair. There are tons of directions to go once you've got a little experience!
Disclaimer: this is based on my experience in my area of the US. Things may be different elsewhere, esp. outside of the US.
I hope this is helpful! Let me know if you have more questions!

u should post more about being trans
Sure. And I have a recent life story so here it goes:
If you've spent any amount of time scrolling down my blog, you know that from my 800+ posts I've dropped quite a bit about myself. Namely that my parents emotionally and physically abused me and manipulated me to act a very specific way to adhere to a "look" that agreed with my birth mothers families expectations. They wanted a daughter and got my sister first try, and only had me to teach her to share. Their treatment of me my entire life and how they admitted to it and talked about me let me know I was just a show-piece for their perfect cult christian/catholic/mormon nuclear family vibe.
As such, I can say that I have never once experienced what parental love actually feels like. What it's like to be loved unconditionally by a parent who cares. That wasn't my life.
At least ... that was true up until yesterday.
If you're unaware of what's been happening up in Canada in the last week (from 18th September 2023 to 22nd September 2023), the transphobes up here held a "1 Million March for Children" protest about public schools being gender inclusive, teaching topics on gender identity and gender expression, and allowing kids to give preferred names and pronouns that teachers abide by without parental involvement. If you're unfamiliar with Canada's laws, Canada has ratified the "rights of the child" set forth by the United Nations and children under the age of 18 up here have civil rights including the right to privacy and safety. These protests attempt to say a parent has the right to know everything going on with their kid, and there is some degree of agreement on that, but a child also has the right to privacy and safety. This group is pushing for policy changes in public schools that would require the schools take actions that can be argued would infringe on the rights of the 2SLGBTQIA+ children regarding their privacy and safety. As such, this transphobic group met opposition that vastly outnumbered their protest numbers in the form of counter protests involving students, teachers, parents, allies, and 2SLGBTQIA+ adults who passed through a less-than-accepting school system in their time.
I unfortunately missed the organized protest in my city yesterday. I was entirely unaware myself that any of this was happening. I'm now working on being more active and informed in my community because now that this bullshit is firmly on my doorstep, I'm not about to let it gain another inch by being oblivious.
When I came out, I was 27. I waited until I was on hormones just because I needed to be 1000% certain I was finally doing this before letting anyone in my workspace know. I was met immediately with transphobia from my team lead/manager. I was honestly stuck with what to do because it wasn't like she (my manager) was being overtly terrible, it was just a bunch of small things that were actively impeding my ability to do my job, and even move departments. It became more apparent as time went on that she was actively preventing me from reaching my normal level of production by throwing harder and harder work my way with much higher expectations than ever before. I reached out to another co-worker who was in a higher position than I at the time and she went to bat for me. She caught a lot of it first hand, agreed I was being treated unfairly, and got me in contact with HR. With her help, I was able to move to the IT department and begin using my software and computer architecture degree for something. She remarked that my parents must be proud I was finally in my chosen field of study and ... I had to let her know that my parents weren't in my life, and that they treated me terribly, and don't approve of me. She took that statement and without missing a beat she said: "well, guess that makes me your mom now", which I just took as a "if they won't love you for who you are and what you achieve, I will" symbolic gesture. She's called me her kid in casual conversation, and I have called her mom, but she has biological children around my age so it felt symbolic. I'm a 29 year old adult now, I was 27 at the time this started and I didn't think much of it because I kind of just accepted I was a person who'll never have parents who care. Like, I'm not a kid anymore, what's the point of having parents? That was my mentality.
Until yesterday. The day of the counter protest I didn't know was happening. My adopted mom showed up in force. Why? Take a look:
Some context for the following messages: when an iPhone user hearts a message, and android receiver gets the "Loved "<First 50 characters of the message reacted to> ..." message.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Start ID: Screenshots of a text message conversation between @talisidekick and her mother who adopted her at 27. Conversation spans over Sunday and Monday. First photo reads: (8:12 PM Sunday) Mom: ... me about it. It was due to something that happened Wednesday. This was all put together in a matter of days. I have a trans child so I wanted to be there (7:00 AM Monday) Talisidekick: Just confirming, is the "trans child" me or is one of your other kids trans? (7:00 AM Monday) Talisidekick: 'Cause I still call you mom. (7:18 AM Monday) Mom: No it's you (8:10 AM Monday) Talisidekick: I uh ... don't know why the fact you showed up for me made me smile so wide... (8:10 AM Monday) Mom: Loved "I uh ... don't know why the fact you showed up for..." (8:10 AM Monday) Mom: Because you know I've got your back my luv
Second photo reads:
(8:11 AM Monday) Talisidekick: ... I really wish you were my mom when I was growing up. You're honestly the best. (8:12 AM Monday) Mom: Loved "... I really wish you were my mom when I was growi..." (8:12 AM Monday) Mom: I wish I was too! You would have been accepted for who you are the entire time (8:13 AM Monday) Mom: But you got me now! (8:13 AM Monday) Talisidekick: I do, and that matters loads. (8:13 AM Monday) Mom: Loved "I do, and that matters loads."
/end ID]
I'm in tears because she wasn't being symbolic. She sees me as her kid. She saw a problem, recognized that I'd lived through worse because we've talked how many times I was almost killed by my peers at school or left to die by teacher staff because where I grew up was conservative and we didn't have anything in the books supporting queer children in schools, and showed up to be part of the solution.
For reference from those who don't know: someone made a cruel remark that I was gay via a slur when I was in grade 3 and that was enough to mark me for abuse, and almost kill me for the entirety of grade school. There was more than one active attempt by members of the student body to kill me, at least one in front of a teacher who did nothing because of that damn rumour. And trying to kill me wasn't the worst thing they did. They didn't care I was actually transgender, in fact, them not knowing that probably saved me from them trying harder. I couldn't bring any of this to my parents because they were worse.
No child deserves to live any fraction of what I went through. It was horrible, and these assholes want to force kids to feel just as isolated as I did growing up. I barely survived and almost took my own life several times because of all this.
Mom, if you happen to read this, thank you for showing me I matter. I wish I'd met you sooner.
Trans rights are human rights. Transgender kids deserve safety too because every damn child matters.

(this can be answered publicly) Hey X, pardon me if you’ve answered this before, but I was just curious on how you ended up transitioning from academia to tech and what role you started with in tech? Also, so you have any advice for someone looking to break into tech from a non-STEM background? Thank you!
Hey! I haven't answered it publicly but it's a popular question, so I will now (warning, long answer is long).
So I was so fed up with academia for sundry reasons I won't get into here but I wanted a career that would allow me to A. retire some day (something that paid generally well), B. would allow me some measure of work/life balance without high stress, and C. Would ideally let me use my communication/writing/speaking/presenting skills in some way.
My parents and my partner all work in tech and were like, "did you know that we desperately need people with your skillsets in the tech world?" and my partner, who works in technical sales was like, "You would kill at my job, I am not lying." And I was like, every job listing in technical sales that I see requires either a degree I don't have or past experience I don't have, or both, and my mother was like "Do you know how many mediocre resumes from unqualified men come across my desk? Apply for the damn positions anyway." So I reworked my resume to focus on applicable skills/experiences and wrote a cover letter for each position I applied to saying "hey, I know I'm an odd candidate but let me tell you why that's a good thing." And I got a lot of positive responses!
I was interviewing at 2 different tech places when I accepted the offer for my job now. I had an initial screening call interview with HR, then a zoom interview with the hiring manager, and then I was given access to a limited demo environment and had a week to teach myself the software and put together a demo for a fake customer which I did for the hiring manager (my future boss), one of my current peers, and the VP of the org. I was offered the job the same night I did my fake demo. So in total it was a 2 week interview process, and I started working 2 weeks later. **
I'm a pre-sales solutions consultant, which basically means I'm paired with a sales guy who does all the money and business value talk with customers, while I get to learn about a customer's data problems and then demo for them how our products can address those problems.
The learning curve was (and still is) steep. But it was basically like going back to school, and I've always loved learning new things. The job is super fun. It fulfills all of my wants I listed above with the added bonus of being completely remote (aside from occasional travel to meet with customers for in-person demos). The people I work with are supportive, management is communicative and constantly giving me feedback/talking about my trajectory. I've won internal awards, already received two raises and one promotion and I haven't even been there a year. I'm making more than double what I did as a professor and the concept of retirement doesn't feel like a laughable pipe dream anymore. I miss teaching a lot, but I'm healthier, happier, and better prepared for the future now. And my work is genuinely fulfiling because I'm showing people how they can fix problems. Also, playing with data management software and putting together custom demos is neat. It's like all the best parts of a college project--research, making a preso, knocking everyone's socks off while giving the preso, but I'm getting paid for it. I'm glad I followed my mom's advice.
So I guess my advice is the same as hers: even if you're not "qualified," apply for the position anyway. Make custom cover letters for each position and if there's not a way to include the letter with the app, do some googling and find the hiring manager on LinkedIn and message/email them. The person who hired me said that my cover letter was what got me the initial interview. So that shit works. If you have friends or family working somewhere with open positions, use those connections. Having an internal referral will go a long way to getting your resume looked at. I know we're all like, boo nepo babies, but networking is a huge part of any industry. Use it to your advantage if you have the advantage (no, I'm not working for my parent's companies, but if there'd been an open position I was interested in, I would have applied for it. No shame).
**I also, on the side, applied for the Austin Fire Department because why not. After a whole lot of mental and physical prep, I was accepted to the academy (in the first class, no less, holla) right before I was offered my current job. But I had to be realistic and say that probably wasn't a good long-term career option for someone who is 110lbs and was barely meeting the physical testing requirements who also has issues with getting overwhelmed in high-input sensory situations. So. Into the tech world I went. This side note just to say, I was keeping my options very open and there's nothing wrong with that either, lol.
I hope this helps!

I haven’t been able to stop thinking of a sitcom-style office AU featuring the AC ladies and a superb supporting cast, so I need to share:
Kassandra spends most of her time flirting with the pretty interns, getting next to no work done. But she’s invaluable when tough clients have meetings in the building and they need someone charismatic to diffuse any tricky situations, so they keep her around.
Alkibiades is the receptionist who has slept with many delivery couriers who drop off packages at the front desk. He can go from bitching about colleagues with Kassandra to a sickly sweet customer service voice on the end of a phone in a heartbeat.
Eivor gets all her paperwork done to an excellent standard, providing she doesn’t have to use spreadsheet software. She’s also the person in charge of fixing the staff room’s shitty coffee machine when it breaks every other weak. She is hiding two kittens in her desk, under the impression that nobody knows. Everyone knows.
Soma is in charge of the branch, and is a fantastic leader. Always professional. Except around Wigmund; there are no limits to how petty she can be in his vicinity, and her biting insults are always deserved because he’s homophobic.
Wigmund is only still there despite a multitude of HR violations because he’s all buddy-buddy with the CEO. Everyone hates him.
Ceolbert is there on work-experience. Everybody adores him and will fight to guarantee him a full-time placement should he wish to accept.
Phoibe is allowed to do her homework in the office after school because Kassandra is a very protective aunt and despises the school bus driver, so she drives her home after her shift finishes. She’s allowed to make paper planes out of discarded documents.
Barnabas retired recently, but Alkibiades still lets him into the office because he is a well-loved person. His banter is of the best quality, he always shows people pictures of his grandkids, and as part of the effort against Wigmund he likes to leave his glass eye in his coffee mug to freak him out.
Hytham is the office IT consultant who spends 90% of his time trying to teach Eivor how to use Microsoft Excel. He feeds the kittens in her desk when she is stuck in meetings. 100% has gained access to Wigmund’s browser history and shared it with everyone after he made an islamophobic comment.
Birna gives herself employee of the month certificates every month, even though that’s not a system the office has in place, because she deserves them. Soma has asked her to stop printing them in full colour because of the dent it makes to the office printing budget. Birna refuses to dampen her victory.
Ikaros is the office pet (unofficially, because the thought of the paperwork that would invoke makes Soma want to cry). Kassandra talks to him like she can understand him, and it concerns everybody in the building.
Synín breaks into the office frequently to torment Eivor. She eats her documents and pecks at the desk draw containing the kittens to try and rat them out. Eivor still feeds her though.
There is never a dull day in that office.
The branch has been banned from several team-building activity venues. Competitivity has many a time taken a swift turn down the route of “disorderly conduct” and “property damage” and “multiple violations of the law”.
Soma has a decently soundproof room in the office, so she can play music through speakers to keep her sane. But there was one occasion where she synced her Bluetooth to the wrong sound system, and the entire floor was forced to listen to her god-awful country music playlist for the better part of an hour. Nobody will let her live this down. She got a Billy Rae Cyrus fan shirt during Secret Santa (courtesy of Eivor).
When the computer software system the whole company uses got overhauled after new regulations were put in place, just after Eivor finished learning how to navigate the old system, she nearly had a breakdown. She picked up the kittens and took impromptu paid holiday, ignoring company policy. No one stopped her.
Ceolbert earned Kassandra’s immediate respect when he helped Phoibe with her maths homework, because, in her words, “fuck that nerd shit”. Ikaros also took an instantaneous liking to him at that moment. She tried teaching him how to flirt, but he’s too precious and couldn’t grasp it.
Hytham and Birna had a bet going on: which physical altercation would happen first? Would Soma finally lose her shit and punch Wigmund, or would Eivor punch a hole through her computer after getting frustrated with word processing software for the thousandth time? The result was...neither. Alkibiades bitch-slapped Kassandra after she jokingly called him a whore.
After hearing a complaint from the floor below over “loud desk chair skidding sounds across the corridor”, Soma didn’t even need to ask who it was. Eivor, Birna and Kassandra were all denied a homemade cookie that week.
Because of Wigmund’s connections to the top, and he’s a grade-A piece of shit, HR effectively ignores their branch. A maximum of three people would have their jobs otherwise, and Ceolbert isn’t even technically an employee.
Alkibiades has a code for when a particular client representative, who happens to be Kassandra’s rather bitter ex, enters the building. Kassandra has hidden in the cupboard under the staff room sink, under Eivor’s desk, behind the curtain in Soma’s office, and once in the ceiling vents.
Once, Kassandra was tasked with attending a meeting with this ex. “Kass, you’re needed the floor up. Odessa arrived ten minutes ago with—” “Tell them I died.” “I can’t tell her that you’re dead, what the fu—” But she’s already gone.
Ultimately they’re a very chaotic work family. But Barnabas always invites all - bar one, obviously - the family around to his house once a year for a barbecue, because family matters.

sooo i got hired again?
i mentioned like way back in fucking OCTOBER that i'd been hired to teach private violin lessons at a lil music school franchise. signed the paperwork and everything. attended an orientation meeting with other new hires. set up my account with their scheduling/payroll software. sent a headshot and a bio for use on the website. all that was left for me to do was wait for them to sign students up and add them to my schedule.
i have been given 0 students and earned 0 dollars since then. for a while, i had been religiously checking my email so i wouldn't miss any emails notifying me about new students. but i don't even bother anymore. as far as i know, i'm still technically an ~employee~ and i still receive the mass emails reminding all faculty to send in their invoices 🙃 which i find laughably insulting to me.
anyway, i finally started applying for other shit and just got hired with another business, also teaching private violin. they even had me come in and do a ~trial lesson~ where i basically give the manager a violin lesson as if he was a brand new beginner.
y'all.
i have taught with like 5 or 6 different organizations over the years, and until now, ZERO of them ever did shit all to make sure i or any other teachers actually knew how to teach or play the instrument at all. this is the ONLY TIME i was ever asked to demonstrate my abilities, and it gave me sooooooooooo much confidence in the possibility that maybe this business is gonna be different from the other one's i've worked for, and maybe they'll actually value my expertise, and give me the freedom to do what i know how to do in the best way that i know how to do it, and they'll trust my judgment, and most of all, that they'll GIVE ME STUDENTS AND FUCKING PAY ME TO TEACH THEM OH MY GODDDDDDD WHY GO THROUGH A WHOLE FUCKING INTERVIEWING AND ONBOARDING PROCESS JUST TO FUCKING IGNORE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE FOR THE REST OF ETERNITYYYYYYY I AM SO UPSET!!!!
but not as upset anymore lmfao since now i hopefully have a job that's actually gonna, ya know, pay me for doing tasks.
and??????? the wage is hella fucking decent. $40/hr. If I was managing my own studio and doing all my own marketing and bookkeeping and scheduling and all that, the minimum i charge is $50. so $40 is a very very decent deal for a scenario where all i have to do is teach, and not worry about any of the businessy stuff.
but i do intend to eventually prove that i'm worth eeeven more than that. 😊 cop myself a lil raise in the future.

2023 Back On The Wagon
I fumbled 2022 bigtime. Became artistically stagnant. Was more reclusive, experiencing a general malaise. So this year, I'm going to frame this resolution list in terms of the Biggest Swings and Worst Misses of 2022.
Biggest Swings
Resippies. I definitely added more dishes to my repertoire. Always a plus!
Workout plan. While I need to power through on rough days, I definitely upped the ante compared to 2021.
Stretch before workout: no prablam!
Really developed a strong housecleaning schedule. Tough to commit to the nastier items, like cleaning windows or bleaching toilers. But it's better than the past.
Duolingo 290+ day streak!
Slowly pecking away at intellectual pursuits. Learning software architecture concepts, refreshing myself on calculus and trigonometry.
Volunteering at animal shelter. A late entry this year, but I've been going every month.
Biggest Misses
Using my freezer space. Only meal prepping a single week
Better health habits. Still getting a lot of takeout, eating a lot of chips. Could do better vis-a-vis fruits and veg.
Hikes with Jolyne. It's a good idea! Any every time I think to do it, I come up with an excuse.
Creativity in general took a nosedive. 2 pieces of art per month? I don't think I drew more than 2 pieces for the whole year! Never mind writing, or using Blender, or even looking at my keyboard.
While Duolingo was strong, I didn't work on more formal language learning through textbooks or Wanikani.
Responding to people! Christ, two of my closest childhood friends reached out to me this year. And I can't get myself to respond in under 24-hrs? This is unacceptable.
Recontextualization
So where do I go from here. I had some wins, some losses, some mixed nuts. Is there a way to reframe things to improve in 2023?
Multi-week meal prepping. This isn't just a matter of using freezer space, but also a gift to myself in the future. It's the promise of a totally free weekend, devoid of food concerns. It's also the promise of variety. If I can flip-flop between chili and a stir-fry, I won't get sick of either.
Healthy Habits. It's not about complete removal, but about moderation and replacement. It's also about impulse control. I can get takeout, but I should reduce the frequency. Don't buy on impulse, when I have meals at home. Spread the portions over 3 days rather than 2 days. I can have snacks, but don't go back for a second serving.
Hiking. There's no recontextualization. It's a good idea, period. The problem is, I'm worried about Jolyne reacting to other dogs while hiking. So invest in a trainer! A well-trained dog feels more confident, and reacts better to other dogs while on leash.
Creativity. Part of my issue is lack of skill vs perfectionism. Although, perfectionism isn't quite the word. I'll redo line-art or repaint the same object, with diminishing improvement to the overall piece. I'm better off trying a dozen things, rather than redoing the same thing a dozen times. All of which is to saw: you're a baby beginner! Don't be ashamed to let people see your progress! In fact, use the visual indication of improvement over time to motivate yourself later!
Language Learning. Duolingo is good at incentivizing me to use it everyday. And it has the negative effect of making me feel like I've "put in the work" for the day. It is just idle practice, it is not active learning. Wanikani is actively learning Kanji and vocabulary. Textbooks are actively learning grammar. Conversation exchange apps actively teach, well, conversation!
Responding to People. Which wraps into my general sense of reclusiveness this year. But I can't just swat my own wrist, and say "buck up!" Why am I reclusive? Is it time-crunch, afraid of wasting my hours of solitude before work? Is it insecurity, fear that I cannot keep the conversation going, fear that I'm disliked? Perhaps part of this resolution involves interrogating myself deeply, as a person.
Resolutions
This has all been uniquely naval-gaze-y. Such is the way of New Years. Isn't that part of the tradition? So let's round this out with some regular-degular bullet point resolutions.
Try out 2-5 fasting. Articles claim it's good for reducing insulin resistance. Who's to say?
Continue workout plan. Try for more consistency. Also, maybe take up swimming. It's better for my ankle. Switch from Planet Fitness to The Y. (Also try roller-skating, which will undo any positives swimming has for my ankle)
Ask doctor about physical therapist for my ankle.
Ask doctor about psychological therapist for my brain.
Continue with the fruit and veg variety. More smoothies with protein powder. Try kimchi, try sauerkraut, try natto. Continue your foray into fish. Try some egg-based meals. Get more fiber in my diet, embarrassed blushing emoji.
Meditation, 20 minutes per day.
Sleep by 10:30pm, awake by 7am. Don't sleep in on weekends. Naps are okay. Reduce screen time and caffeine around bed. Make the bed a night-only place. Relax in the den, or on the couch.
Apparently sun lamps are useful.
Bitter topicals are the only way I actually stop biting my cuticles.
No hard commitments. Just do something creative, every day. Writing, painting, playing piano. And don't be afraid if it's ugly or amateurish.
Don't learn for learning's sake. Apply knowledge to personal programming projects or electronics projects.
Volunteer for Food Not Bombs or for work's Wheels on Meals program.
Go to the movies for fun. Every year is the Year of the Movie, babey!
Apparently people go to bars alone, and that's how they meet people? Is it insane to hang out and read a book at a gay bar?
There is a fine line between being weird and being mysterious. Much of it comes down to how confident you are.
A good old adage, but, don't hateread! It's a waste of time! Time should be dedicated to three things: earning money, expanding my horizons, and chilling the fuck out. In ascending order of importance.
Reread this resolution every day month. Every week, every day. Otherwise, you'll forget!

So miss park from in order to live. The book can be the head of implementing this globally with one young world working with border patrol all over the world. And yes, they'll have to run Em through the background. Check on Interpol, and they will have to submit to a polygraph. We don't want people that are running because they committed crimes..... You know, like OJ Simpson. That was trying to run to Mexico. So the United States doesn't want our hardened criminals being placed in other countries to continue doing horrible things to them... We need to take responsibility for our trash.... And we must force them by breaking them to reform... We don't want other people's responsibility either. That's the point. Sending them back so they can take care of their trash and work on their systems.... And also, all that information comes into the u. S government does these assessments and goes to the state department the state Department works with those countries to improve their citizens... So this gives us all kinds of data and the people that are being produced in those countries and the ones that are discouraged workers in those countries.... Then we can work through the state department. And its analysis to work with companies in the United States and around the world to play certain industries in those countries to stop the workers from leaving.... And we know what skill bases will need to give those individuals. And this is an opportunity to provide educational services in other vendor services into those countries to help their government get their people up the speed.... We must solve the problem of the desire to leave a country. So if our state department is doing it correctly they're working with those governments. They get people to stay at home by helping them perfect their governments in their country meaning their people...... Then we can focus on rebuilding the United States. The population mix back to majority white...... There has to be a safe haven for white people in the world, one country where white people stay dominant.

So what you can do as a labor placement firm is to find the people they need and place those people back in those countries... So there are a lot of Mexicans in the united states who can work in Mexico...
So our embassies around the world should be working to create better economic Partners by strengthening those economies that allow America to export all kinds of intellectual properties and other exports. It builds the strength of America through diversity in economics. So our country can get a good balance of import-export..... And when there's a downturn and demand domestically, we can export more to increase employment and economic wealth. So we can better offset the ups and downs by minimizing them by diversifying...
And this is why the federal government has to encourage trade between U.S. Territories like Puerto Rico and the United States and build up trade with Cuba and the Caribbean Islands as well...... The u s used to have a very robust trade with cuba..... And yes, the u s used to have a very robust trade with iran and many other countries that faded away.
So you can understand and Cuba also was the gaming hub. Yes, they had lots of beautiful casinos originally... Now, yes, they were mob-controlled. And that was the problem of labor violations. We had bad americans treating people incorrectly... This is why I told you the Department of Labor and other government agencies like osha, need to visit all of u. S companies abroad and make sure they're complying with u. S labor standards... We cannot allow u s companies to violate anyone anymore... We need to protect people who work for u. S companies domestically and abroad.... And that means the FBI needs to do investigations. And can work with these companies? Also, protecting what intellectual properties?.... Yes, the FBI can have agents in international field offices that work with u. S firms around the world and their security organizations, helping them protect and secure their intellectual properties in any country in the world..... This is their counter-terrorism. Terrorism is not only bombing, it's stealing intellectual property...

After world war two, we allow corrupt people to do the wrong things and that caused communism in china.... China love the united states... But when you support evil, you get evil 😈 🤔 💔 So we supported evil and in turn. We created these movements in cuba in iran and in china and other places turning against the united states... Still not being able to decide if I should get a 3,5-year BSc in Mechanical Engineering or a 2-year MSc in Financial Management. I have a BA in Music.
I work in IT consulting (mostly business or soft technical roles like tester, analyst - barely coding anything). I like my work, but I am not crazy about it. I will keep my job and all the courses I take into account are weekend courses. I love physics, particularly rocket engines. I love to learn about it all and I love math. However, I am not particularly gifted. I'd say I'd be average for an engineering student. Additional background info: I speak 3 languages, including 2 foreign: English and German at C-level.
+++ of BSc MechE: 1. It's my passion, I would really like to study everything that is in the curriculum. 2. It would open up opportunities for me for more technical industries and roles, especially if I want to move for example to Germany, or manage software delivery projects for heavy industry. 3. I could get an aerospace MSc in Germany afterwards. --- of BSc MechE: 1. 13 on-site weekends per semester, including Friday evenings (6pm-9pm), full Saturdays (8am-8pm), Sundays (8am-4pm). 2. I am scared that I won't pass because of the lack of time for studying (because every weekend is school). 3. Maybe I should focus on getting my health in order instead. 4. No free time. 5. Getting a MSc being postponed to 2030 or never. I fear that not having a standard degree (just music) hurts my career prospects. Not sure how justified this fear is, given the fact that I have already quite a lot of experience. 6. Not sure if I will enjoy the way they teach (I hate our eastern European education system, not a good match for me).
+++ of MSc Financial Management: 1. I am pretty sure I can graduate no problem and with decent marks (I've been to this school before, did a more math-heavy degree - dropped out after 2 years due to other priorities, but I did not have any trouble passing exams). 2. Only 8 weekends of school, Saturdays and Sundays. Only one on-site meeting per semester (+ exams). Other than that - everything online. 3. Still a reputable resume point, a good school that the HR likes to see in my country. 4. I could move to Germany to work, just in more management/financial roles, not sure how better/worse this option is compared to BSc in Eng. I could also move there soon, if I would like that (because the course is mainly online). 5. More work-life balance compared to the BSc Eng. --- of MSc Financial Management: 1. It's not really a thing I would like to study for 2 years and in this detail - I think I've had enough corporate and practical experience on the topics covered by this degree. 2. Not sure how much it adds to my experience. Also I am going to get certifications like PMP or Prince2 at work, which I assume will have more impact on my career. 3. Not studying the thing I'm really interested in. Thanks for coming to my TED talk, I have no idea what I'm doing with my life

Security In Cloud-Based HRMS: Everything You Need To Know
Data security is crucial, especially as more and more businesses use cloud-based Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) to automate their HR procedures. Because they manage so much private employee data, these systems are often the target of cyberattacks. Maintaining regulatory compliance and safeguarding this data depend heavily on the security of cloud-based HRMS. In this blog, we will examine the main security threats, crucial security components, recommended practices, and upcoming developments in HRMS security.
Understanding Cloud-Based HRM
Organisations are increasingly using cloud-based solutions to enhance productivity and streamline their operations. The way businesses manage their human resources is being revolutionised by cloud-based HRMS, which offer an integrated platform that manages everything from performance management and hiring to payroll and benefits administration. The technology offers numerous advantages, including:
Cost savings
Scalability
Remote accessibility
HR departments can work more efficiently and concentrate on strategic initiatives rather than routine administrative work.
Key Security Risks in Cloud-Based HRMS
1. Data Breaches
Data breaches can be a huge concern as they have the potential to reveal private employee information like social security numbers, addresses, and bank account information. This can result in identity theft, employee financial loss, and legal repercussions for the company.
2. Unauthorised Entry
Inadequate access controls, a lack of multi-factor authentication, or weak passwords can all lead to unauthorised access to HR software. This may lead to unauthorised parties accessing, changing, or erasing sensitive data.
3. Corruption and Data Loss
Data loss can be brought on by unintentional deletion, cyberattacks, or system failures. On the other hand, software flaws or malware defects can lead to data corruption, which can jeopardise the accuracy of HR data.
4. Insider Threats
Insider threats are a serious risk, regardless of their malicious intent. Workers who have access to private data may misuse it or disregard security procedures, resulting in data leaks.
Essential Security Features of Cloud-Based HRMS’
1. Data Encryption
Data encryption ensures the safe transfer and storage of information, while also rendering it unreadable for unauthorised users. Robust encryption algorithms should be used for both data at rest and data in transit.
2. Multi-Factor Authentication
By requiring users to provide multiple forms of verification before gaining access to the system, MFA adds an extra layer of security. The possibility of unwanted access is greatly decreased by doing this.
3. Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
RBAC restricts access to data based on the user's role within the company. This guarantees that workers only have access to the data required to perform their jobs.
4. Regular Security Audits and Assessments
Regular security audits and assessments help find weaknesses in the system and guarantee that security controls are up-to-date and functional.
5. Secure APIs and Integrations
Secure APIs and integrations prevent unauthorised access to HRMS data via third-party apps. Ensuring that all integrations adhere to security standards is imperative.
Best Practices for Ensuring Security in Cloud-Based HRMS
1. Select a Trustworthy HRMS Provider
Choose an HRMS supplier with a solid security track record. You can check out Opportune HR. They are one of the best HRMS software providers in Kolkata.
2. Put Strong Password Policies in Place
Implement strict password policies that mandate the use of complicated passwords and frequent updates. To guarantee password security, promote the use of password managers.
3. Teach Workers About Security Awareness
Provide regular training to staff members on security best practices, such as identifying phishing attempts, creating secure passwords, and adhering to data protection guidelines.
4. Update Software and Security Patches on a Regular Basis.
Make sure to routinely apply the most recent security patches to your HRMS software and any associated apps to protect against known vulnerabilities.
5. Maintain Regular Data Backups and Prepare for Disasters
Maintain regular backups of your HR data, and make sure your disaster recovery plan is strong enough to recover data quickly in the event of a security breach or data loss.
Conclusion

Key Modules of the SAP HR Syllabus
