YOUR DREADFALL/HALLOWEEN POST INSPIRED ME
Alright bestie it's time for headcanons but how do you think Berk celebrates Halloween/Dreadfall? With costumes or trick or treating or anything? Would love to hear all your headcanons! <33
Oh and also. What you think the Gang would dress up as/would do for weird traditions
Ly!! <3
AHHH OKAY I’VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS FOR A WHILE NOW AND I’M READY
I think that Berk definetly has a big celebration on the night of Dreadfall. They used to dress up as dragons as a sort of way to kinda ward them off? But after they became friends w the dragons they kept doing it and it kinda became a day to celebrate the dragon/viking bond and the costumes became a lot more colorful and beautiful. After they all began training dragons it was kinda traditional/expected that people kinda dress up as their dragons. They use face paint and shedded scales/spines etc from their dragons to put together costumes. They use painted leather/cloths for wings, etc etc
They gather together in the great hall for a feast once the sun starts setting and the celebrate until it’s risen again. They do a lot of drinking and like,,, theatre performances in full costume and sing a lot of songs and tell a lot of stories recounting their different victories in battle. They also kick it all off with a dragon race bc of course they do.
