cw: vampire whumper, human whumpee, hypnosis

“How did you…?” the vampire watched as Malak clung to the couch, desperate to keep himself from toppling over.
“I- please- I don’t-” the human’s eyes widened, his breath becoming frantic and short as he attempted to speak. His lip quivered, matching the tremble of his pale hands.
Malak’s head throbbed, discombobulated and out of order from the whirlwind consuming him. It was as if he’d been pulled from a trance of heavenly paradise, suddenly unraveling the strings of his brain. Somehow, someway he couldn’t seem to grasp, he’d escaped the clutches of a mind-bending monster, one out to steal his autonomy to the highest degree.
Overwhelmed with the only urge to escape, one that had been weakened by the vampire’s strength, he had done his very best to obey. Fighting against his strangely heavy and uncoordinated body, he had tried so hard. A voice pounded in his head, screaming at him to liberate himself.
Adrastus took a step forward, their hands held out to the other man in a comforting manner. “Darling, what happened?” Immediately, Malak attempted to run, instead slipping on his own feet, his legs far cumbersome to operate successfully.
Hitting the chill, wood flooring, an unfamiliar strike of pain cut through him. A whimper escaped his salty lips, wet from tears previously cascading down his red cheeks. In the blink of an eye, a pair of perfectly polished boots appeared level with his gaze.
He squealed, attempting to escape again, unsuccessfully. The sleepy weight of his body allowed for little movement, and thus he was easily captured by the monster. Inhumanly strong arms wrapped around his abdomen, lifting Malak into the arms of the vampire with a huff.
He desperately attempted to thrash in their hold, to no avail. While much too disoriented to resist successfully, Adrastus giggled at their discomfort. “It’s alright darling, I’m here now.” They soothed, inciting only more wiggling. They casually made their way around the couch, unbothered by the struggling man in their arms.
Malak’s head spun, the concoction of anxiousness and panic twisting in his stomach. A jumble of thoughts overwhelmed him, incomprehensibly spiraling in his brain. He sputtered unintelligibly, coherent words melting on his tongue.
Adrastus plopped onto one cushion, gently sitting Malak on their lap. Before allowing the human a chance to make any move, no matter how feeble, they softly trailed a calming hand from Malak’s forehead, down to his chin, silencing their human immediately. “Hush, sweetie. No need to worry, I’ll fix you up, easy peasy.” They flashed the human a fang-filled smile.
Instantly, Malak’s brain liquified into a pile of goop. The whirlwind of awareness ceased, leaving only the commanding touch of the vampire.
Adrastus slipped their hand from Malak’s back, gingerly draping him across their own lap. A wave of pleasure washed over him, settling and returning with each motion of Adrastus’ nimble fingers combing through his hair, lightly scratching at the surface of his scalp. With each repeat, the cloud in his mind only grew foggier, hazed with overwhelming bliss.
Drowsily, Malak adjusted his position, shifting his head to lay on Adrastus’ slender legs. “All better now, right?” In return, they merely received the slightest of a nod.
“I’m so glad. I mean, I’m shocked as well!” Adrastus pinched at their human’s cheek sweetly. “How could such a feeble little mind like yours escape my power? I haven’t seen you remotely lucid in months!” they exclaimed.
The words simply flew right over Malak’s head, too enraptured in the urge to sleep to pay much attention. Absentmindedly, he grunted, and nuzzled closer into the lush fabric of the vampire’s sweater, basking in the warmth. “So sluggish, aren’t you? Just a sleepy little boy. A good little thrall.” They let out a light chuckle, continuing to pet their thrall to unconsciousness.
“My sleepy little boy, my good little thrall.” Malak’s heart practically soared at the praise. To his delight, Adrastus pressed a soft kiss to his forehead. “You’re just adorable, all dazed and disoriented. I wouldn’t prefer my thrall any other way.”
“I mean, you enjoy it too don’t you? I can’t imagine how it must have felt escaping from such a long period of mindless bliss. Snapping into awareness must have been so terrifying.” Pouting, Adrastus delicately swiped away the last slick tear from Malak’s red cheeks. “That’s why you can’t let that happen again, alright? I couldn’t imagine what you did to allow your consciousness so close to the surface, but surely you’ve learned your lesson now?”
Malak nodded eagerly, shaken over the idea of displeasing the vampire. “Such confusing emotions of fear and distress just aren’t fit for a thrall as cute as you!” A wide, dull-eyed smile couldn’t help but spread across the human’s face.
“Must’ve just been all that anxiousness stirring inside that tummy of yours. I'll be sure to arrange that a similar situation does not arise again.” The assurance was comforting, yet Malak couldn’t help but sense a slight anguish stirring inside him.

Whumpee's breath came in shallow gasps, their pulse quickening with each beat as Whumper's fangs sank deeper into their shoulder, eliciting a small cry of pain.
"Do you feel that?" Whumper's voice slithered like a serpent in the darkness, sending icy tendrils of fear snaking along Whumpee's spine. "That's the fear coursing through your veins..."
Whumper leaned in closer, his cold breath ghosting over Whumpee's ear, sending shivers down their spine. "It's absolutely delicious..." His voice dripped with sinister delight as he flashed his blood-stained teeth, relishing in the terror reflected in Whumpee's wide eyes.
Whumpee's fingers twitched trying to push Whumper away. With each sip of blood, Whumper chuckled softly, savoring the way Whumpee's struggles grew weaker, their attempts to push him away faltering.
Eventually, their struggles slowed to a halt, their head slumping against Whumper's shoulder. Whumper's lips curled into a twisted smirk seeing this. He gently brushed a lock of hair from their face, his voice a low whisper.
"Sleep well my dear.. You may have fallen but your nightmares are just beginning.."

Whumpuary 2024 Day 6
6. (Jan 11-12) Exhaustion / Blindfolded / Old Injuries
cw reluctant whumper, exhaustion, blood loss, vampire whumper, human whumpee, scars, intimate whumper
Whumpee stood in front of the mirror, head tilted to the side as their fingers traced the bite marks going down their neck. They were in various stages of healing—some had faded to white scars, others were bruised and scabbing, and the most recent one was still an aggravated red. If Whumpee scratched at it, it would start bleeding again easily.
“You okay?”
They glanced up quickly. “I didn’t hear you come in.”
Whumper shrugged, eyes locking with theirs in the mirror. “Perks of being a creature of the night, I suppose. Very sneaky.”
“Right,” Whumpee said with a chuckle.
A moment of silence passed, with both of their gazes drifting to Whumpee’s neck. Most of the marks were concentrated there, but others were hidden by Whumpee’s clothes. Their wrists, the inside of their elbow, their thighs.
“You look tired,” Whumper pointed out.
“I’m fine.” The constant blood loss left them exhausted and perpetually dizzy, but it really was fine. Whumper worried too much.
They frowned, closing the distance between them and Whumpee. Whumper kissed their neck gently, lips fitting over one of the older bites. “I wish they didn’t scar so much.”
“I don’t mind,” Whumpee muttered. “I like the reminders of you. Knowing that I can give you what you need, instead of letting you worry about where your next meal is coming from. Or hurting someone who doesn’t want this.”
Whumper nodded slightly, eyes meeting theirs in the mirror. “We can’t keep doing this forever, though. Someday I'm gonna take too much, and then I don’t know what I'd do with myself.”
Whumpee took in their own reflection—the pallid skin, distant eyes and dark circles, thin frame—and wondered if that day was very far in the future.

Don't know if this is your thing but attempting some mind control? >:)
This ended up more about vampires than mind control but it's there lol.
TW: Vampire, manhandling, thrall/mind control, threat of eye whump (doesn't happen)
The vampire knocked a few times on their present’s room. A courtesy gesture really. Mostly to warn them as they opened the door and entered.
Whumpee still jumped, as far from the door as they could be. “I didn’t invite you in, how can you be here?” They asked tiredly, faced away from their captor.
“Delight, this is my house. I need no permission to enter my own rooms.”
Whumpee stiffened, but didn’t turn around.
The vampire sighed. “I have some friends downstairs who are simply dying to meet you. Won’t you come willingly? It’s not as if this is new to you.”
No response, no movement from the poor unfortunate human in the room. Faster than could be registered, the vampire was across the room, human pinned to the wall from their inhuman strength. Whumpee tried unsuccessfully to pull away, squirming and holding their eyes tightly closed.
It was always both satisfying and tempting to feel the human’s heartbeat under the vampire’s palm. The warmth of life might be gone from their body but their senses had been enhanced beyond all imagination. The simple fact they didn’t eviscerate every prey they fed from was a testament to their skill.
The vampire tsked, lightly dragging their sharpened fingers down whumpee’s cheek. “Now now Delight, you know how I despise it when you act petulant. Open those eyes, if you won’t obey of your own accord.”
The human knew the vampire was right. They weren’t new to this. But all the same, they fought it. Refused to give in. Refused to simply lie down and allow the bloodsucker to make them their little pet. Even through their vulnerable trembles, whumpee kept their eyes closed.
A dark growl reverberated through their body. Whumpee’s reaction was far from beyond their control; a deep instinct, encouraged by pain and suffering that lingered long after they were returned limp to their room. They knew what was coming but even then couldn’t let go.
“Open your eyes,” the vampire ground out again, claws digging into Whumpee’s hair and pulling on their tender scalp.
“If you keep them closed, my friends and I will cut your eyelids out.”
Whumpee shook. They knew they had been pushing their luck, knew their captor wouldn’t entertain their behavior forever.
As a little piece of them died, they opened their eyes.
It wasn’t but a moment later everything grew dream-like. The colors stronger, everything sharper, but the world also a bit further away. Less important. Less real.
“There,” purred the vampire, stroking Whumpee’s face and basking in the way they leaned into it. “Isn’t that better? More freeing? Safer?”
“Yes, Master,” Whumpee muttered sleepily, more than happy to follow the vampire down the hall and stairs to the inevitable grabbing of skin and gnashing of teeth that would leave them weaker still, until nothing was left.

Bound by Blood- Part 2
Part 1
Hero thrashed in their abductor’s iron-grip as they took them far away from the crime scene.
“If you can’t behave, I’ll have to indulge myself now,” Supervillain’s voice drawled.
Hero glared up from their spot in Supervillain’s arms. They blew a puff of frost into their face, hoping to disorient them. Supervillain only chuckled.
“My darling, do you really think your feeble cold will faze me?”
Without warning, Supervillain bit down into Hero’s neck; Hero cried out in pain. Supervillain drank a generous amount of blood from their system. Hero’s vision slid in and out of focus, and their limbs quickly fell limp.
“Sleep now,” Supervillain’s voice rumbled distantly, “I’ll take care of everything.”
Despite their efforts to do otherwise, Hero was quickly lulled to sleep.
When Hero woke up, they felt the warm embrace of silk sheets and a plush comforter. They opened their eyes to a grand bedroom. They sat up, rubbing their eyes. They immediately started scanning the room for any escape routes. There was a large window on one wall, with the curtains drawn shut. Hero clambered out of bed and scrambled over to it. The window had been tinted to let in the least amount of sunlight, and worse, there were bars over it.
“Enjoying the scenery?”
Hero nearly jumped out of their skin, whipping around to face Supervillain.
“Are you frightened?” Supervillain asked with a smirk and a tilt of their head.
“No,” Hero lied.
Supervillain laughed, a chilling sound that sent an unnatural shiver down Hero’s spine.
“Little Hero,” they said, stalking forward, “I can hear your heart rate- it’s beating faster than I can run. You’re shaking- and I know that your cryogenic makeup prevents you from getting hypothermic.”
Supervillain now stood inches from Hero’s face. They tilted their chin up to meet their gaze.
“But most of all- your eyes. They give away your fear,” they said, “such pretty eyes, especially so when they’re glazed over from blood loss.”
“Y-you’ve made your point, I’m scared,” Hero admitted, “what do you want?”
Supervillain ran a hand through Hero’s hair.
“You’ll find out soon enough,” they hummed, “first I have to get you ready.”
“Ready?”
“For your appearance of course,” Supervillain said, “what good is an ultimatum without the leverage?”
In a blink of an eye, Supervillain had swept Hero up and had deposited them in a different room- a cell, to be exact.
“I do hate to put you in such deplorable conditions, but we have to make this believable.”
Supervillain quickly manhandled Hero into a chair and wrapped them tightly in thick, coarse ropes. They shoved a gag into their mouth and turned on a camera.
“Try to look frightened, my dear, your performance is important,” Supervillain said, “now, how do I work this thing-”
Supervillain fought with the camera for a little bit until it snapped a picture of Hero. Hero blinked against the flash.
“Ugh, human technology, our helper and our reckoning,” Supervillain said, looking at the picture.
Supervillain quickly untied Hero and removed their gag.
“You were wonderful, Hero,” Supervillain said, patting them on the head, “maybe not Oscar-worthy, but a bumbling fool like Detective should be convinced.”
“What are you going to do with that?” Hero asked, standing up.
“Oh, the typical things: ensure immunity, receive control of the city, maybe demand a nice bottle of wine for us to share, though I don’t touch the stuff personally… yes, I think all that would be quite nice.”
“The city isn’t going to hand over control just because you kidnapped me!” Hero said incredulously.
“Maybe,” Supervillain agreed, “but it would be a shame if Detective had your blood on their hands because they refused to comply.”
Hero froze in place. Supervillain laughed.
“Oh, my darling,” they said, “I’m not actually going to kill you, I would never even dream of such a thing, but the city doesn’t need to know that. And now with you out of the way, I can easily remove anyone who opposes me. When a city has had a hero to protect them for so long, they forget how to protect themselves, and I’m very much counting on that.”

Royal Bought: Sampling #5

content warnings: vampire whump, defiant whumpee, human auction house, captivity, manhandling, minor blood
Tumblr media
The vampire’s grasp was unrelenting, but that was to be expected when Luke had done something as stupid as spit in his face.
He could still taste the sticky glob of blood between his teeth, pooling from his split lip, a numbing, throbbing sensation having replaced the aching pain by now. The tip of his boots clipped against the edge of the stairs as he was unceromiously hoisted up, his eyes watering.
Luke heard the clang of the door being pushed open, revealing a more modern interior as he was led — or better yet, dragged — down the corridor. It was buzzing with workers passing by, mostly vampires, but even then, Luke caught a glimpse of some of the blank faced humans working obediently.
It sent a shiver down his spine.
No one really paid attention to them, all except the occasional glance, no doubt due to Luke’s bloodied face and the way he was being manhandled down the corridor. Was it uncommon for humans to fight back? He didn’t think it was that, so much. They were merely glancing at him as if he was this wild, untamed dog with no manners.
The vampire eventually came to a stop in front of a door, pushing Luke inside the room with a hard shove. He staggered, the grip on his hair having been released, a cry of relief coming from his sore scalp. The door was shut behind him, and even though Luke wanted to wrench his head around and send a deadly glare towards the creature, he was more taken aback by one sat on a comfortable looking couch in front of him.
This vampire looked older, his lips pulled into a calming smile.
The room was strange to Luke. He had grown up in a camp in the middle of the wilderness, making use of anything they could around them to live. There were things in here that he had never seen before - more namely, the light source of the room. There were no windows here, and yet, the place was not shrouded in darkness.
Luke’s eyes wandered around in confusion.
“Welcome,” the older vampire hummed kindly, gesturing to the space in front of him. “Please, take a seat.”
There was a table with rectangular sheets of paper and what seemed to be some sort of small kit of tools. Luke’s eyes narrowed in suspicion, throwing a subtle glance over his shoulder. The previous creature had closed the door behind him, remaining in the room. He was looking at Luke with disdain etched into those hardened features.
“There’s no need to be afraid,” the older vampire lulled, drawing Luke’s attention back to him like a magnet. He swallowed uneasily at the pleasant aura the vampire was exuding. His voice was soothing and calm. Why? Wasn’t he here to be sold off? “I know this all might be a little new and confusing for you. Let me introduce myself: my name is Silvan. And you must be Luke.”
Luke shifted uncomfortably at the knowledge of his name, uttered with such confidence. Silvan must have been quite an old vampire, considering the skin on his pale face was slightly weathered, and there were hundreds of years lingering in his eyes. He was wearing a tailored suit, black on dark raspberry sorbet, contrasted against his greying hair.
Silvan’s eyes were intense, even when Luke wasn’t looking at them, and it was like they were stripping every personal detail from him with ease. His voice was like smooth velvet when he spoke, low, dulcet tones coming from his tongue.
“You lived beyond the Collared Forest, am I correct?”
The first vampire moved silently behind him, as if his feet didn’t even touch the ground. When Luke glanced at him again, he had retreated from the door, boxing him in. Unlike Silvan, this was a clear warning to sit down and do as he was told.
Luke’s throat bobbed as he swallowed, the taste of copper still fresh on his tongue. Against his better judgement, his legs managed to gain some of their strength back, and he begrudgingly circled around the plush couch, sitting opposite the older vampire. The material was incredibly soft, and Luke wondered what it was made from, how it was shaped in such a peculiar way, and if everything here was this comfortable.
“Why do you care?” Luke gritted out, his narrowed eyes watching the older vampire like a hawk as he reached for some soft tissues out of a box, holding them out for him to take. He didn’t.
“Ah, I’ll take that as a yes then, I suppose,” he mused, brow cocked in amusement. His pointed eyes flitted over to the other vampire with a hum. “His blood?”
“He was misbehaving,” he sniffed codly, nose turned up. “He’s ill mannered and has a ridiculous temperment.”
Luke was almost offended. They were talking about him as if he couldn’t hear them.
“The scent will spread fast, Silas,” the older vampire sighed deeply, his head tilted and hands back in his lap. He didn’t look like he was even considering Luke’s blatant rudeness for ignoring the tissues handed to him.
“So do rumours,” Silas spoke smoothly. “It won’t matter in the end.”
Luke’s fingers twisted into his thighs. The older vampire’s gaze had almost softened for a brief moment when his eyes wandered back over to him, as if remembering that Luke was here and they had a job to do. Judging by the kit on the table and the way the other boy had informed him that humans were hoarded off for “sampling”, he figured this was exactly that. A sampling of his blood to determine if he was expensive produce, he didn’t doubt.
“The process can be pleasant if you just behave,” Silvan smiled warmly, speaking to him as though he would be inclined to take him up on that advice. “You’re very important to us. We don’t want to have to hurt you to keep you in line.”
He found that hilarious; vampires weren’t exactly a beacon of truth. The sticky blood on his face and the numbness of his lip was a reminder that they had no issue hurting their livestock if it meant keeping them in line.
“Bullshit,” Luke hissed, his nose wrinkling in disdain. “Important? You’re selling us off like cattle.”
“Cattle?” The older vampire mused. “You’re not cattle. We pride ourselves on taking care of our merchandise. We make sure you’re all healthy, fed well, given the proper care and attention when you need it.”
“You sell us,” Luke breathed, his voice almost breathless from even having to utter such horrifying words.
“What happens when you’re bought has nothing to do with us,” Silvan informed firmly, as if that justified the crowd of humans they had awaiting their horrible fate down below. “But here, Luke, you’re safe. If you don’t behave, then we, unfortuantly, have to take the necessary precautions to keep you in line.”
Luke licked his lip. The flesh flared with a raging intensity for a brief moment, and he could map out the distinct tear. Almost to make a point. Silvan noticed it, but he didn’t comment, head tilted in curiosity.
“Physical violence will, of course, be enforced if you don’t cooperate,” the older vampire hummed. “But as I’m sure you know, we have much better, and much tamer, methods. They can feel good.”
He made sure he wasn’t looking at Silvan’s eyes. He felt himself shivering at the memories of Justinian’s compulsion, not wanting his own bodily autonomy to be stripped away from him like that so easily.
“Feel good?” He echoed bitterly.
“Of course,” Silvan smiled. “Some things can be quite euphoric. Compulsion can relax the mind and the body. Even a feeding, if handled properly, can feel good for you, too.”
“You’ve got to be kidding me.”
“Many humans quite enjoy it,” the older vampire chuckled softly. “They offer themselves up willingly. That’s the price of cooperation in this place. As a human who grew up beyond the Collared Forest, I don’t expect you to understand fully just yet.”
Luke’s chest bubbled with an irritated scoff. His leg was bouncing anxiously at a continuous pace.
“What does that have to do with anything?” He growled slowly, not missing the way Silvan gestured to Silas for a brief moment, who stepped around the table to collect the tissues the older vampire handed to him. Luke suddenly went tense on the couch when Silas turned to face him again.
“You are somewhat of delicacy,” Silvan hummed, treading carefully as if he was pondering on the words as he said them. “It’s rare for there to be humans who lived so far from our territory here. You’ll cause quite a stir in the markets once word spreads around. Especially if the scent of your blood is anything to go off.”
His fingers twitched, itching to reach for his necklace and squeeze it tight for any sort of stability. His heart began racing even faster than before, throwing him for a loop. His adrenaline surged as Silas stepped closer.
“Am I supposed to appreciate that? That I’m good money for you?” He hissed coldly, leaning away from the vampire as prowled closer. “Stay away from me.”
His demands were ignored.
“You want to sample this blood?” Silas asked, his nose wrinkling in disgust at the sight of Luke’s face. A hand closed around his forearm, yanking him back across the couch with a force that gave his shoulder an ache and his skull a wobble.
“No,” Silvan hummed, rising from the seat himself, and leaning down to collect something sharp from the tool kit in front of him. “I’d like it fresh from the vein. But, please. Wipe his face - and let him struggle.”
Maybe it was a cruel demonstration of how no matter how hard Luke fought against this, there was nothing he could do against them. No matter how many times he thrashed, ignored the throbbing pain from the tight holds, or retaliated with his own kicks and smacks, there was nothing he could do.
Silas had him easily pinned down on his back, one single hand locking his wrists together above his head. The vampire’s knee crushed into his ribs, pressing down uncomfortably onto his lungs, careless of Luke’s comfort as he wiped the blood from his face. Luke’s legs kicked out, breathing heavily between clenched teeth, screaming muffled curses and insults against the hand clamped over his mouth, tissues soaking up any fresh blood from his wound.
Silvan was hovering over him now, and Silas easily wrenched his head to the side, exposing the flesh of his neck. Goosebumps exploded across the expanse of skin, and squeezed his eyes shut tight.
“It’ll sting only for a moment,” Silvan warned him calmly, the feeling of cold hands prodding against his neck making him squeal. He felt a sharp prick, his body seizing against his own will. The older vampire pressed something cold against the area, gave it a couple swipes, and then drew away. Silas’ disgruntled expression darkened for a second, letting Luke stew in the position for a moment, before finally letting go of him.
He slapped a hand to his neck, sitting up so fast he’d almost gone dizzy.
“What did you do?” He snapped, his voice still trembling from the hysterics he’d built himself up to. His heart was pounding hard against his ribs. Silvan pinched the small, blood coated needle with his fingers, opting to ignore Luke for a moment. He swiped the needle swiftly against his tongue, giving himself a moment to taste the blood. Silvan then hummed, folded the needle between a white napkin, and placed it down on the table.
“Interesting,” he merely commented, and Luke awkwardly rubbed the side of his neck. “Though, I am not suprised. It’s guaranteed his blood will attract many well-off vampires.”
Silas dumped the bloody tissues in the bin. He didn’t look pleased by the situation at all, his eyes darkened and his expression grim. He wasn’t fatigued by Luke’s struggle at all, having not even broken a sweat, it seemed, or put in hardly enough effort to even quicken his breathing compared to him, who was still trying to catch his breath.
“He’s rabid,” Silas sneered. “Doesn’t matter how attractive his blood is. No one will take him with such an imputent temperament. None that could match the price, certainly.”
Silvan took a seat once more, throwing one leg over the other languidly as he observed Luke with those gleaming eyes, as if calculating exactly what he had in store for him. He clenched his jaw, trying not to let any slither of fear pass over his face. He didn’t want to give them the satisfaction if his fight caused them this much trouble. Luke wasn’t going to make himself easy to sell.
“We have plenty of time to prepare before the auction,” Silvan informed, though he seemed to be talking to Luke as well. He refused to catch his eye. “We’ll give you an opportunity to settle into your circumstances, Luke. I understand this is difficult for you, but there is no denying the inevitable.”
Bitter resentment, as well as this cold, crackling helplessness cut through him like a knife. His voice had almost lost its strength. “Fuck you…”
Silvan only smiled warmly.
“I’ll be sending you to Ileana, now,” he explained, his hands interlocked on his lap casually. “She will take care of everything from there. She’s be your handler, and believe me, our aim here is to take very good care of you. You’ll be provided quality food, clothes, and a room to stay.”
Luke bristled. “Lucky me, huh?”
Silas’ eyes narrowed an inch. “She will also be teaching you how to best accommodate your master, or mistress. It won’t be good for you to misbehave, Luke. We’re giving you the benefit of the doubt because of your…” He gave him a subtle once over. “...unique upbringing, but push your luck, and we will, unfortunately, have to risk completely stripping your mind.”
He remembered the humans he’d seen down the corridor. Lifeless eyes, blank faces, mindlessly following their orders. An empty shell to be used. A horrible shiver rolled down his spine at the thought, and he was sure Silvan caught on to the way his heartbeat quickened.
“You don’t want that, do you, Luke?”
“I don’t want any of this,” he croaked.
“Well,” Silvan hummed, unsympathetic. “That is something you will have to come to terms with.”
The older vampire suddenly straightened, glancing at a unique looking contraption on his wrist. Luke eyed it wearily.
“We need to press on and sample the rest of the humans,” Silvan smiled, his gaze flickering over to Silas with a beaming smile. “Please take him to Ileana and bring me the next one.”
Luke’s expression soured when Silas grasped his arm tightly, yanking him onto his feet. He gave a firm tug, but he wasn’t going to shake the vampire’s grip from him, not without a miracle. He could feel Silvan watching him go intently, his voice rising when he got to the door.
“Good luck, Luke,” the older vampire grinned, flashing his fangs. His voice went right through him, making his stomach twist. “Have a pleasant stay.”

Ways To Keep Your Whumpee Contained
Content: Restraints, electrocution, non-con drugging, tiny whumpee, immortal whumpee, [implied] drowning, vampire whumpee, burns, gags, dehumanisation, giant whumpee.
Use some good ole' fashion chains/ropes.
Trap them beneath something heavy.
Zip ties.
Drug them.
Shock collars.
Buy them a pet cage.
If they're a tiny whumpee, you could always make do with an old jewellery box or a jar.
Trap your immortal whumpees in a pool with the cover over the top.
A collar and leash.
If they're a vampire whumpee, you could use a fence or bars made of silver.
Barbed wire. Wrap it around their wrists and ankles and let it dig into their skin or even gag them with it.
Strap them to a chair.
Trap your giant whumpee under something heavy and let them struggle to push it off. Bonus points if their whumper(s) are watching them and laughing.
Strap your vampire whumpees to a flat surface made of silver. Watch their stomach/back as they're literally burned alive. No way to fully alleviate their pain.

Vampire keeps their thrall hypnotized so they do all the chores without making a fuss and so they don't accidentally hurt themselves bruising or spilling any of their precious blood.
Whumpee breaks out of it randomly by something silly like a sneeze and comes back to hella confusing circumstances.

———————————————————————
Nevan smiled contentedly to himself as a pile of dust flew into the pan. The broom, brittle and old scratched against the hardwood flooring of the mansion. Satisfied, he carefully poured the dust pan’s contents into a nearby trash can.
He had almost done all of the cleaning for the abode, the only room left being one of the many dedicated for storage. Nevan always felt exceedingly proud of himself for fulfilling his sanitation duties so well, even if there wasn’t much to clean when he repeated the same tasks every single day.
Darius liked his home spotless, and Nevan was more than happy to oblige to the wills of his master. Cleaning was the one thing he was notably good at, subsequently making it his sole job in Darius’ home. Besides being a food source, of course.
Transferring to the next room to be cleaned, Nevan was giddy with the thought of receiving his promised reward.
Cleaning was his purpose, his sole job in life, so there was really no need for a reward. Yet, Darius was so kind hearted and generous, that he always promised his thrall a reward for his work. Whether it be presenting him with another place to cleanse or an extra feeding for that week, Nevan was over the moon simply with knowing he had pleased the vampire.
Nevan studied the mess he was presented with. The storage rooms were always a bit arduous to take care of, mainly due to the overwhelming clutter that had formed over centuries.
He began with a smaller brush, sweeping the tops of boxes and junk. Before he knew it, whatever dirt inhabited the room had unsurprisingly mixed with the air, floating into and itching at his nostrils.
He leaned his head back, readying himself for a sneeze.
Seering pain sliced through his brain as his body forcibly doubled over, almost as if splitting his head in half. Nevan clutched his head desperately, stumbling and slipping over his feet. He pulled frantically at his hair, the agony spreading to his scalp as well.
The human dropped onto sore knees, expelling a distraught whine. He panted heavily, attempting to settle himself.
Luckily, after an endless repetition of deep, calming breaths, the pain subsided into a faint throb. Nevan groaned, rubbing at his tear prickled eyes. Out of reach thoughts danced inside his mind, too rapid to be coherent.
Holding his head in one hand, he forced open his soggy eyes. Gazing down at his own lap, confusion began to settle in.
How did-? Why was he…? Cleaning supplies?
Clutching the short broom in his hand, he noticed what was under it. “What?” He groaned, grabbing at the fabric covering his lower body. Whatever it was, it was large, frilly, and itchy, a terrible combination.
Nevan felt around, pressing his palms to the floor and pushing himself onto wobbly legs. He clung to a tall stack of cardboard boxes, his knees buckling. He took in the room, filled to the brim with piled up rubbish.
Particularly, Nevan’s gaze landed on a long, thin mirror several feet away. He shuddered, digesting the image of the figure reflected.
It was him. The reflection held Nevan’s eyes, Nevan’s moles, Nevan’s nose, yet they looked so different. Like a failed clone. His hair was lengthy with a healthy shine, his face and body meticulously clean shaven, and he wore a grand, luxurious dress.
Worrying of all, were the achining wounds in his neck. Red, oozing and sore, Nevan gaped at the sight.
It couldn’t be him. Nevan didn’t do those things. He kept his hair short and easily manageable, he never gave a second thought to body and facial hair, and he sure as hell had never been very comfortable in a dress. He began grabbing at the excessive tool covering his thighs, trying to ease the irritation on his skin.
Once again, the burning sensation returned full force, tearing apart his brain in a wave of remembrance.
Fear settled over him, a whimper catching in his throat. He was in a vampire’s home. Caught in a web of mind-bending magic, and by some miracle had broken through. His breathing quickened, short and frantic.
What would he do? What could he do? If he got caught, there wasn’t a chance he’d ever get the opportunity to escape again. Maybe the monster would be so angry, they’d kill him.
“Nevan? Are you almost finished with your chores?” His heart stopped. Nevan lifted a trembling hand to his mouth, pushing his back against the objects behind him. “Where are you?” They called.
Nevan slid down the boxed, landing on his bottom. Darius was close. Too close. If he tried to leave now, he would surely be caught, but the same was ensured if he didn’t.
Footsteps picked up, the clicking sound of Darius’ heels growing closer. “There you are.” Carefully, Nevan turned his head to face the beast, meeting a wicked grin. “Are you ready for your reward? I’m especially hungry today.” They said, adjusting the collar of their jacket.
Nevan let out a whimper and a snivel, alarms blaring inside his head. The vampire paused, studying him, his smile contorting into a confused frown. “What’s wrong? What did you do? You shouldn’t look like that.”
Darius reached their hand out, taking several steps toward the human. Instinctively, Nevan hysterically crawled in the opposite direction, knocking over a pile of random contents.
Darius met the other man’s stare, his eyes just as wide-eyed as Nevan. Slowly, as if faced with a wild animal, he descended to the floor, resting one knee to the ground. As the human continued to make a mess, Darius reached into his coat pocket, pulling out a glistening little item between two fingers.
Nevan recognized it instantly, squealing with terror as he violently shook his head. “Please! Don’t, please, I can’t-!” Ignoring the human’s pleads, Darius lightly began ringing the tiny bell in his hand.
The ringing, no matter how light, how delicate, held a commanding, unexplainable presence. Betrayed by his own body, Nevan was unable to cover his ears as means of blocking the noise. The sound was soft, almost musical, causing Nevan’s terrified heart to flutter against his will.
“Come here, little servant.” The vampire sang. He began to lean into the constant ringing, as well as the glossy voice of his owner. “That’s right, return back to master.” Darius beckoned him over, settling onto both knees comfortably.
The matter of his mind was melting, replaced with the weight of the bell’s authority. Lazily, the terrified shake if his body liquefying, Nevan shifted onto his hands and knees. Mesmerized by the sound licking his ears, he clumsily crawled closer, to Darius’ satisfaction.
“Good boy, almost there. Nothing is more important than the bell, isn’t that right?” The movement of the object never ceased.
He smiled. That was right. It was Nevan’s bell, captivating and alluring. The only thing possibly more significant was Darius.
He soon reached the vampire, resting onto his knees with glazed over eyes. Darius gently placed the bell to the floor, ending the loop of hypnotic noise. He tenderly cupped Nevan’s cheek, caressing it with his thumb.
The vampire took a moment to adjust Nevan’s body, picking up limbs and turning his face as if he was searching for something. After a moment, he let out a sigh of relief. “I would’ve been very upset if you managed to lose some of your delectable blood in all that panic. Fortunate for you, it seems you didn’t.”
Nevan would’ve been utterly distraught had he made such a mistake. What a terrible thrall he was even risking it. “Now, are you ready for your reward?” He nuzzled into his master’s comforting touch.
In no other universe could he have been more ready.

Whump Prompt 133
Write something inspired by this concept:
A vampire punishes their personal human bloodbag by locking the human in their own coffin for hours at a time with barely any air.
Unfortunately, being locked in a coffin only serves to make the human panic and his blood taste bad. Funny what coffin-time can do to a person.

Content – vampire whumper, sadistic whumper, affectionate whumper, shock collar, mention of death, mention of blood drinking, dehumanizing language, noncon touch (not sexual), implied torture (doesn't happen on screen, but will happen later), threat of breaking bones
Whumpee's heart beat faster as they heard Whumper entering the room. They knew that if they just lifted their head, they would notice a wide smile on their face, revealing sharp fangs. They shivered and tried to not move, to not accidentally provoke Whumper, but they couldn't control their trembling hands.
The whole room was silent. Whumpee could only hear their uneven breathing, no footsteps or even a pleased, mocking voice. Whumper must apparently have to stand and watch them as they used to, enjoying their anxiety. And Whumpee let them. After all, being observed was definitely better than being hurt. They just foolishly hoped that Whumper would find the show satisfying or get bored and leave soon. But they knew that watching was never enough, not for Whumper who prefered making them suffer.
In one second, as Whumpee predicted, Whumper was in front of them. Their body reacted in response to the sudden threat, and Whumpee automatically covered their neck with their hands.
And Whumper didn't like it.
They put their finger on their chin and forced them to look at their face.
"What's wrong, Whumpee? You're afraid I'll bite you again?" Whumper laughed as tears began to flow down Whumpee's cheeks. "Funny little thing. Do you really think you'll win against me?"
Whumpee closed their eyes, wishing it would finally end, wishing that when they opened their eyes, Whumper would disappear from their life.
"Expose your neck" Whumper whispered to their ear.
Their voice changed. Now it was no longer amused. No, they were giving them an order and were angry that Whumpee decided not to listen.
They felt new tears coming to their eyes and trembling hands, but they still didn't move. It was better this way. Making Whumper angry was better than letting them bite them. They didn't want to feel that excruciating pain in their neck and the strength leaving their body with the blood again. They didn't want to see everything shrouded in fog and lose consciousness, thinking that this time they might die. They didn't want it at all.
So they tried to ignore Whumper, because it was the only thing they could and wanted to do.
But Whumper wasn't pleased. They placed their hands on Whumpee's and clenched them tightly, digging their nails into their skin.
Whumpee hissed, but still didn't open their eyes.
"If you don't listen to me, I'll force you to do what I want. And I'll just break your bones. Do you really prefer this than following my orders?" With each word, Whumper slowly loosened their grip and finally pulled away from Whumpee, allowing them to make their choice.
Whumpee took a few deep breaths, trying to calm down. It was over. Ignoring them was no longer possible, not when Whumper was blackmailing them. They won. Again. And Whumpee could only remove their hands to expose their neck, as Whumper wanted, and brace themself for feeling sharp fangs digging into their body.
But, to their surprise, instead of pain they only felt cold metal closing around their neck.
They opened their eyes, looking at Whumper with confusion.
Whumper smiled.
"Why are you so shocked, little thing? I only gave you a gift! You should be enjoying your new toy."
Whumper ran their hand through Whumpee's hair, who tried not to move away from the unwanted touch.
"I thought about testing this toy today instead of biting you. It's less boring than hurting your precious body only in one way, right?"
As Whumper explained things to them in that sickly-sweet voice, playing with their hair, Whumpee felt their body begin to tremble due to the rising panic.
Whumpee realized that what Whumper had planned was much worse than what Whumpee had in mind.

WOAHHHH NEW OC STORY IDEA ALL A SUDDEN
okay so vampire guy works at a morgue and feeds from the dead bodies but it’s never Enough. it keeps him under control but he does needs fresh blood once in a while. anyway this human guy dies, was brought to the morgue, and the vampire guy drains him of all his blood (as he does to every corpse) but this human died recently and his blood was fresher and tastier than the others. vampire leaves the dead human in one of those corpse shelves for the night (vampire guy lives in the morgue somewhere) and the next morning BOOM. the human guy is awake and alive and healthy as if nothing happened. immortality moment!! woah
and the vampire guy is like SWEET!!! new infinite food source of fresh delicious human blood!! now he doesn’t have to feed from those gross corpses anymore or go hunting and risk being killed by pesky vampire hunters.
but vampire guy still has to work at the morgue. that’s his whole business. that’s his home and how he needs to make money to buy food for his new human bloodbag (guy can survive without food but his blood tastes better when he’s not starving).
and it’s strange for the vampire guy sometimes. he’s always spending time around dead humans and this is the first time he’s gotten close to an actual live human before. and even though he’s keeping him captive, he still likes making conversation sometimes. it gets lonely being an immortal vampire who’s hasn’t had a close relationship in decades, and who’s instinct it is to suck the blood out of every human he meets. and since immortal human guy is trapped there and has nothing to do, he might as well talk to him. he’s lonely too and now just found out he’s immortal. he doesn’t wanna be alone forever
but obviously he hates being fed from by a vampire and desperately wants to escape. vampire guy kills him a bunch of times just because he Can. sometimes he drains him of all his blood when he’s extra hungry, sometimes he just kills him for disobeying or trying to escape to teach him a lesson. sometimes he kills him for fun, for the thrill of the hunt. dying is PAINFUL as fuck to the human. he hates dying even though he always comes back fully healed.
sometimes the human wants more things to keep him occupied so he’s not bored all day trapped in the basement of a morgue (or maybe he’s kept locked in a corpse shelf during the day, extremely claustrophobic and dark, with no way out, trapped next to a bunch of human corpses. who knows). but the vampire doesn’t wanna waste his hard-earned cash on buying his human silly unnecessary things just because he’s bored.
so sometimes he lets the human help him work. vampire guy owns the morgue and has no other employees, and only works at night to avoid sunlight, so human wouldn’t be able to call for help anyway. human guy hates being around dead bodies but it gives him something to do and he technically gets paid for it in a way. now vampire guy gets things done twice as fast and has more money and free time too. he buys his human the stuff he wants, like books or puzzles, and they sometimes play games together.
human was a nobody. he probably died from some freak accident and was brought to the morgue by the hospital. he didn’t have a family or any loved ones that claimed his body or set up his funeral. nobody came looking for his body to bury or cremate because Nobody cared that he was gone. and that just makes things a whole lot sadder because even if he does somehow escape the vampire, where’s he gonna go? he’s legally dead. Everyone thinks he’s dead. he’s supposed to be dead. there wouldn’t be anywhere to go or anyone to go to because he obviously can’t tell people he’s immortal, that would just cause more questions, and surely being experimented on by scientists would be worse than whatever he’s going through right now, right?
so human guy has to accept his life now, as an immortal bloodbag for a vampire who works at a morgue. his life is filled with blood and death, but there’s nothing he can do about it. maybe vampire guy eventually gains sympathy for him, and starts to feel bad for his pathetic excuse of a life. maybe they eventually become friends. or maybe the human stabs a wooden stake through the vampire’s heart. who knows
anyway these guys have existed in my head for nearly an hour and they don’t even have names but i am going insane over this holy shit???? RAUHHHH i’ve gotta make picrews dude i gotta draw them. new blorbos. new brainrot. i prommy i’ll still get tllr chapter 13 out today or tomorrow but WOAHH look at these new little guys they’re so silly

You Can't Follow your Heart if There's a Stake Through it chapter one
TW: stalking, kidnapping, captivity, obsession, death threats, fear of death, burns, muzzling, restraints, displayed dead body parts, delusional thinking, creepy whumper, human whumper, vampire whumpee, captive whumpee
After months of Jacob watching Rurik from afar, they were finally making eye contact. A lovely moment, truly a dream come true, and surely their lives would grow all the more happy the longer they spent in each other's company.
The love of Jacob's life stared up at him, stricken with panic and fighting against the leather padded silver restraints. Despite his disappointment, Jacob couldn't blame him for it. Rurik was, after all, muzzled and tied up in his own earth filled casket.
Jacob tucked a piece of hair behind Rurik's ear. It was softer than it looked, like Jacob was petting a rabbit. He ran his fingers through it a few more times, the first gesture of affection of many more to come.
"Shhh," Jacob whispered. "You're alright. I've got you. I won't hurt you. I must say, you're even more handsome up close."
Rurik tried to speak, but the large bit in his mouth harshly stopped his voice from escaping his curled back lips. He leaned away from Jacob's touch, still frightened despite his reassurances.
Rurik's fear hurt Jacob down to the marrow of his bones. All Jacob wanted to do was show him the love that had blossomed in his heart so long ago. But reason still meant something to him, and he realized that he wouldn't make any progress until Rurik felt he was on equal footing with him.
Vampires were all proud creatures. Narcissistic, vain, and prone to flattery. Being tied up and muzzled by a human must have been a humiliation. Jacob hated himself for putting Rurik through so much pain, even though it was necessary.
Jacob gently lifted his beloved's head to unfasten the bit, and set the wretched thing on the floor. Oh, how Rurik's fangs gleamed. Vampires were perfect killing machines, and never before had Jacob looked at one with such glee. Not even after staking dozens if not hundreds through the heart, listening to their screams with sick satisfaction.
"I'm sorry about that," Jacob apologized. "It's just that I didn't want you escaping. I won't muzzle you again if you behave yourself."
Rurik didn't answer. He moved his jaw, trying to adjust to the bit having been removed. His eyes flicked around the room, but he didn't look once at Jacob. His eyes widened as they came to rest on something behind Jacob- Jacob loved those cat like orange eyes, with their thin pupils and gorgeous lashes -and Rurik began struggling all the harder against his restraints.
Jacob turned to see what was bothering his beloved, fully intending to do away with it. His eyes met with his various "trophies" and he mentally kicked himself. He should have hidden the macabre display before opening Rurik's casket. He hastily threw a large blood stained towel of the glass display case, hiding the fanged skulls and other morbid curiosities.
"There," he said, looking down at Rurik, "is that better?"
Rurik shook his head wildly. Jacob couldn't find anything else in the room that could be bothering his love, so this confused him greatly. In all his years as a vampire hunter, he had never seen one looking so much like a frightened prey animal. Rurik must be deeply misunderstanding the situation.
"I am not going to hurt you," Jacob promised. "I love you. You don't need to be so frightened."
"Кто ты?" Rurik shouted, working himself into a panic as he failed to escape his shackles.
"I don't understand you," Jacob said apologetically. "Could you speak English? I know you know how."
It took Rurik a few minutes to calm down enough to speak properly. Jacob waited patiently, hating his inability to learn other languages. He had tried Russian, along with Spanish, Japanese, and German. But his brain was like a leaky bucket when it came to foreign words, let alone grammar and sentence structure.
Still, Jacob liked the way Rurik spoke, even if he didn't understand what was being said. He had such a lovely voice. It evoked such lovely shades of brown and gold, reminding Jacob of cattails growing on the banks of the river he grew up next to. A childhood lovely memory, brought to the surface by the colors of Rurik's voice.
Finally realizing that his struggle was useless, Rurik tried to curl up and make himself a smaller target, holding his arms tight to his chest.
"Who are you?" he asked.
After spending so long watching Rurik and becoming intimately knowledgeable about the inner workings of his mind, Jacob had forgotten that the love of his life didn't even know his name. But this could be quickly remedied. Surely as soon as Rurik gave Jacob a chance, he would fall deeply in love, just as Jacob had fallen in love with him.
"My name is Jacob Amity," he said, going back to stroking Rurik's mousy brown hair. "I love you, so you mustn't struggle. I know you must be shocked, but I've been planning this for such a terribly long time. Please be patient. I'll get you situated."
"Please don't kill me!" Rurik begged. "I haven't done anything."
Jacob growled in frustration. Rurik clearly wasn't listening. Why couldn't he just listen?! But as he gave the matter more thought. Jacob realized this was his fault.
Vampires from different parts of the world were divided into their own subspecies, all with different abilities and weaknesses. Rurik was Russian, and this made his position all the more terrifying. Being restrained in his burial casket made him vulnerable to Slavic practices of vampire slaying. Jacob had learned of these methods in obsessive detail.
A hawthorn branch driven through the vampire's heart while they slumbered, staking them to the soil of their grave. A brick placed in their mouth to keep them from biting as they fought to survive. Their head removed and placed between their legs, so that they could not heal from the decapitation. Finally, the casket sealed and buried as a final precaution.
Many people debated whether or not the vampires were really dead, or if they were simply sealed away in eternal torment, incapable of ever healing from their injuries. But Jacob couldn't care less about that. He realized now Rurik's intentions in how he positioned his arms over his chest, though they were still shackled to the casket. He was shielding his heart.
The sight filled Jacob with anguish. This hasn't gone according to plan, not one bit.
"If I let you up, will you try to run away?" Jacob asked.
"No- No, I will not."
Jacob withdrew a key from his pocket, and began undoing the shackles around Rurik's ankles. He removed them from the casket, and set them on his desk. He went to work on those around Rurik's wrists, leaving the cuffs in place but removing the chains holding him down.
The silver tucked away within the leather padded cuffs would keep Rurik from shape-shifting into mist or some wild beast, an obvious precaution when fear made him so flighty.
Rurik stood up, and Jacob gently brushed some of the grave soil from his back. Rurik flinched and bolted away. Without hesitation, he twisted the handle of the only door in the room. His shrieks of pain were the worst noises Jacob had ever heard, despite hearing similar screams from so many other vampires. Rurik clutched his horribly burnt hand, shielding it from further injury.
"That's silver," Jacob yelped. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I should have told you. I'm such a fucking idiot."
"Why am I here?" Rurik demanded. "Where is here? Who are you?"
Jacob knew he had made several serious blunders. How could he convince Rurik to love him now? It seemed so impossible. But surely, if Jacob had made it this far, he would succeed.
"My name is Jacob Amity," he said in a soothing tone. "I'm not going to hurt you. I'm sorry about the door and the restraints. They're necessary, just for right now."
Rurik stared at Jacob, his gleaming orange eyes meeting the dark brown of Jacob's. Jacob knew full well that the superstition that vampires could hypnotize people was a thing of pure fiction, but he felt it must hold true. How else to explain these feelings?
"Permit me to leave, Jacob Amity," Rurik ordered. "I need to return home."
"But I want to keep you here," Jacob pleaded. "Please stay. I know things haven't gone well so far, but I'll make it up to you. I love you, Rurik."
"We never met," Rurik growled. "You are vampire slayer and I want to return home."
"You don't get it," Jacob said, heart broken. "You really don't get it."
"Get it?" Rurik asked. Whether his confusion was over the odd English phrasing or over the true meaning behind the words, Jacob had no idea.
"I mean, you don't understand. I've been watching you for months. Finding out everything there is to know about you by following you. I knew you'd never love me unless I did something. You're right, I am a vampire slayer. But I would never hurt you. I want you to love me the same way I love you. You're a remarkable creature who has seduced me without even trying. Please don't try to leave me."
Surely Jacob baring his innermost feelings to his beloved would have them returned. Even a vampire couldn't be cold hearted enough to reject him after all the effort he put in. If it took hours, or days, or weeks, Jacob would make up for every misstep.
"You can't love me," Rurik said, backing himself into a corner of the room. "You can't love me. I am not seductress. I did not seduce you by mistake."
Jacob nearly started crying. How? How could he be so misunderstood? Was it a simple matter of Rurik being panicked and injured? Was Jacob not explaining himself well? Or, worst of all, did his love only view him as a threat instead of a devoted partner?
"I can kill you," Rurik said. "Bite you. You will bleed and die. I will return home."
So, he did view Jacob as a threat. What a horrible revelation. Jacob had no idea what he could do to make his intentions any more clear. Why was Rurik so stubborn? All Jacob wanted was to listen to his golden voice, braid his lovely hair, and show him any other kind of affection he could muster.
"You can't," Jacob explained. "That's the only door, and it's lined with silver. You can't change form, because of the silver in those cuffs. You can't leave. And if you kill me, the other vampire slayers here will kill you."
"Other vampire slayers," Rurik repeated, his chest rising and falling in rapid breaths. "Others? More?"
"Yes." Jacob nodded. "I want to keep you alive, so you have to stay here. This is my room in the stronghold. You're allowed here. If you leave, they will murder you. Only I can keep you safe."
Jacob grabbed Rurik's hands, careful not to cut himself on the sharpened claws. Finally being allowed to touch the love of his life filled him with heavenly joy. Rurik's hands were as cold to the touch as was expected of his undead nature. It reminded Jacob of flipping over his pillow in the night, tired of the warmth produced by his own body and enjoying the untouched chill of the flipside. Human blood ran too hot for his liking.
"I love you," Jacob repeated. "You may not know me, but I know you. Just give me a chance."
Finally coming to his senses, Rurik nodded, still staring at the door. He pulled his burnt hand away, and slipped it into the pocket of his jacket, leaving Jacob feeling guilty for having touched it.

Royal Bought: Hunting Deer #1
masterlist · next
content warnings: animal hunting, mentioned vampire whump
Tumblr media
It was so quiet in the forest.
Luke couldn’t even hear the sound of his own, soft, even breathing as he concentrated on the taut pull of the bow string, methodically following the small trot of the deer. It was beautiful - its slender neck leaned down to sniff at the ground, ears twitching occasionally.
He didn’t even blink, fearing even a flutter of his eyelashes would send the deer scurrying away. It lifted its head back, big, beady eyes observing its surroundings, before Luke struck. He let go of the arrow, and the deer didn’t have time to dart away before it landed in its neck, and he heard the distinctive thud of its body on the ground.
Luke finally let himself breathe deeply, rising to his feet. The bushes around him rustled as he climbed over them, the snapping of twigs filling the expanse of the desolate forest as he approached with long strides.
The deer was still breathing, and he gently set his bow down, dropping to one knee beside the creature. His hand gently lay across its torso, feeling the panicked, but slowing rise and fall of its ribcage as it took its final breaths. Luke squeezed his necklace, stroking the creature with such tenderness, staring at his reflection in its eye.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered, his voice small. The deer’s eyes clouded, and the animal beneath his hand went still. Luke sucked in a deep breath, letting go of his necklace and shucking off his bag. He made quick work of tying its legs, strapping the heavy creature over his back with practiced ease.
He picked up his bow, and started making his way back before it got dark. The camp came into view quickly enough when he followed the markings he’d left to help him navigate the forest, and as he came down the hill, he noticed Ten sprinting towards him with his stumbling legs and big grin on his face.
“Luke,” Ten squealed, circling around him to get a look at the deer on his back. “You hunted a deer!”
Ten was an energetic kid, with his shaggy brown hair and freckled face. It was going to be his eleventh birthday tomorrow, and had insisted that Luke take him out for his first hunting lesson - the kid refused anyone else, and honestly, Luke was flattered. Ten was like a little brother to him, and he always felt happy that the kid admired him so much.
“Don’t touch it,” he chastised, waving him in front of him where he could see, ushering him back to the camp. “That would be disrespectful.”
“Oh, tell me you’re gonna save it for tomorrow,” Ten exclaimed, clasping his hands together as he added an energetic spring to his step, skipping backwards. “Please, please.”
Luke rolled his eyes, playfully shoving him through the gate and back into the camp. A few people greeted him on the way in, and Ten had to pick up his pace in order to match his strides.
“We’ll have to see what Rian says, alright?” He offered. “But don’t get your hopes up.”
Ten pouted. “He’ll say no.”
“Then you’ll have to live with that.”
After passing off the deer to Rian, the bearded man gave him an appreciative thanks, yet Luke could sense there was indifference in his eyes as he glanced at the white spots on the deer’s neck. Luke had thought he’d been about to mention something about the forest, but he didn’t, and he swiftly left the tent with a sigh of relief.
“I have a surprise for you,” Luke smiled, squinting as the sun spilled back over him. Ten immediately beamed up at him.
“You’ll take me hunting with you?”
He patted his head, shaking his head softly. Even if he was turning eleven years old tomorrow, that was not old enough to hunt anywhere, let alone the surrounding forests. As much as he knew how much Ten wanted to leave the camp, it was incredibly dangerous. He could never let him. He pushed open the flap of his tent, motioning for Ten to come inside.
He happily made himself comfortable on the furs of his bed, and Luke couldn’t help but smirk softly. “No. I have something even better.”
He leaned down behind one of the storage boxes, and carefully lifted up something wrapped in cloth. Ten sat up ethustically, his nose up in the air as he tried to lean to the side to get a good view of it. Luke unwrapped the string, peeling the cloth open to reveal a small, newly crafted bow. Ten gasped, shooting to his feet.
“Is that a—”
“Yes,” Luke smiled.
“And that’s for me?”
He chuckled. “Of course. Too small for me, isn’t it?”
The kid went to snatch it, but then stuck his hands back to his sides, and tried again. This time, he was a lot slower, cradling the bow like it was glass in his hands. His wide eyes were staring at it in shock, as if he couldn’t quite believe what was happening. Luke had sacrificed a lot to craft this bow for Ten. He was just glad that he liked it so much.
“This is…amazing,” he breathed in awe, gently running his finger along the intricate carvings. Luke’s fingers ached just remembering how long it had taken. “What do these mean?”
He tilted his head, pointing to the first one. “This symbol here is for bravery. This one is my mother’s. As long as you have it near you, it will always give you strength, and you’ll know that you’re not alone. Sometimes, it helps if you find things difficult. It’s like a comfort.”
Ten slowly nodded his head, taking in everything he was saying. He kept the bow close, lips curling into a giddy smile, as if just realising that it was really going to belong to him.
“You’ll teach me how to use it tomorrow, right?” He beamed, grinning from ear to ear. Luke nodded his head.
“Yeah,” he smiled. “Of course I will.”
Ten’s eyes glistened a little, and he threw his arms aroun Luke’s torso, burying himself into him in a tight hug. Luke’s heart skipped a beat, wrapping his arms around him in turn and giving his messy hair a small ruffle, chuckling softly under his breath. Ten squeezed him tight, as tightly as he could manage, and he didn’t even think about peeling away until a sharp voice called out his name.
“Luke.”
Ten lifted his head, and Luke swiftly rose to his feet, placing his hands on Ten’s shoulders just as a woman breached the tent, her expression stern and wrinkled in anger. Luke grit his teeth; he had a feeling he knew what this was about.
“The Collared Forest, Luke,” Emily hissed, her words dripping with fracticousness. “Where were you thinking?”
Rian, then. Of course he would tell her. Luke gave a quiet sigh, trying to keep his voice calm. “The deers are complacent. No one lives out there.”
“You know why we don’t hunt there, Luke,” she snapped harshly. Emily was a tall woman, black braided hair and brown coloured skin. Her eyes were even a strange sort of hazel, almost making them seem orange when the sunlight hit them at a certain angle. It was fitting, considering she always looked like she had fire in her eyes when she was angry.
“Emily, there are no vampires in the Collared Forest,” he gritted out. “There haven’t been for years.”
Under his hand, he felt Ten flinch. His eyes instantly softened upon realising the argument was brewing in front of him, and a wave of regret washed over him. Emily’s eyes narrowed, yet she kept her mouth shut.
“Ten,” he whispered softly, and the kid’s anxious eyes flitted up to him. “Just wait for me outside, okay? Go and play for a little bit. I won’t be long.”
Ten swallowed, glancing uneasily at Emily, before she stepped out of the way of the entrance of the tent, closer to Luke. He watched Ten scurry out, leaving the two of them alone. Luke’s eyes instantly narrowed into a small glare.
“A bow?” Emily breathed, her tone laced with bubbling anger. “You gave him a bow?”
“It’s his birthday tomorrow.”
“Don’t encourage another foolish imbecile to go into the Collared Forest.”
Luke gawked at her. “Jesus, Emily. He’s not even old enough to leave camp. I know my way around the closest area of the forest. God knows we need the meat, unless you want us all to starve.”
The woman’s lip curled into a snarl. He could sense she was trying not to raise her voice, lest the whole camp hear their argument. “You could have been followed.”
“Vampires can’t get into the camp,” Luke frowned. “Not unless someone invites them in. You and I both know that no one is stupid enough to do that.”
“You’re not getting it,” she heaved, prodding a finger against his shoulder as she stepped closer, his feet rooted to the ground. He felt his anger flare, but did nothing. “I don’t want the vampires to know where we are. Don’t you know what happened to the human camp across the Corpse River?”
Corpse River. It was many miles from their camp, and it would take weeks of walking just to make it there. It ran all the way to the kingdom of the vampires, and often, people would see the bloated corpses of dead humans, discarded by the vampires, being carried down by the stream, hence its name. Luke had never travelled far enough - it was forbidden. He wasn’t eager to find out if it lived up to its name or not either.
On the other side, he was aware there was another human camp. His heart sank a little at the mention of them, swallowing uneasily.
“What?” He breathed.
Emily let out a sharp breath through her nostrils, her lips pressing into a thin line. “It was desimated by vampires five days ago. They slaughtered everyone within there.”
Luke’s tongue went dry. “But, vampires can’t—”
“It doesn’t matter,” Emily cut off, her brows furrwoing. “They also believed the vampires couldn’t get in. But they did. I will not have the same thing happen to our camp because of you.”
Luke was still reeling over the fact that their camp had been destroyed. They had everything to ward off vampires, everything to keep them and their powers from straying inside, and their camps had been standing for years upon years. He didn’t know how it was possible.
“We’re the last human camp,” he murmured softly under his breath, and suddenly the world felt that much smaller. Emily’s eyes softened, just an inch, but it was enough for her gaze to flicker from his face, a deep sigh to fall from her lips. She briefly glanced at the entrance of the tent, before patting his arm once firmly.
“Stay away from the Collared Forest, Luke,” she warned, her voice firm. Luke bit the inside of his cheek, a grim expression falling across his face. “When we hit a shortage, maybe you should think about teaching Ten to fish instead.”
She turned away from him, and he watched her go quietly as she left the tent, leaving him alone. His eyes drifted over to his own bow for a few moments, before collapsing down onto his bed, running a weary hand over the back of his skull. It wasn’t a life; being here was living in constant fear, not only of the vampires, but the lack of food and the terrible harvests that were rolling in. Now that the camp across Corpse River had been somehow completely eradicated?
His hand drifted down to his face, rubbing his eyes. Luke was exhausted - he wasn’t really sure what he should do anymore. It was a cruel world with the existence of vampires, where all they were to them were animals or pets for them to play with. He’d heard horrific horror stories about the lives of human blood bags in the kingdom, and it wasn’t a life he wanted for himself. Luke didn’t want it for anyone.
As the sun began to dip under the horizon and the sky began to darken, the camp turned in for the night, dousing out their fires and going quiet. Luke struggled to sleep, arms tucked under his head and staring absentmindly at his ceiling.
He couldn’t stop thinking about what Emily said.
Eventually, he rolled over, and willed himself to sleep. Just as he began to succumb to the comforting grips of sleep, Ten was quietly sneaking out of his tent, crossing the camp with tiny, soundless steps, his new bow gripped in hand. He had a quiver with a few arrows strapped to his back, squeezing himself through the bars of the gate, before rushing off towards the Collared Forest.

“How was the trip over?”
As the two vampires exchanged pleasantries and small talk, the human delicately removed his glossy shoes, placing them on the dedicated rack. After taking care of his master’s shoes as well, he stood attentively, listening into the light conversation.
Nevan’s master had allowed for him to accompany him outside the mansion for the first time, at the request of his master’s close friend. They had apparently mentioned wanting a friend for their own thrall, and had considered Nevan was fit for the job.
The idea of socializing made him buzz, out of both excitement and raw nervousness.
A moment of awkward chatting soon passed, and Adrastus turned to him. “Good evening, Nevan, I am absolutely delighted Darius finally brought you over.”
Nevan slightly bowed his head, flustered from the sweetness coating the vampires voice. “Good evening, sir. It’s a pleasure to have been invited.” The vampire giggled sweetly, a hint of condescension glazing the noise.
They hooked a finger below Nevan’s chin, inspecting his face with a content smile. Nevan was enamored with the vampire, their strong aura of vampiric persuasion already making him dizzy.
He was instantly snapped out of the beginnings of a trance by the sound of his own master’s thick voice. “You had better remember the only reason you’ve left the house is because you have proved exceptionally good lately.” Nevan’s heart lifted at the praise.
“But, if you break that streak, you are not leaving the mansion until I bury you.” He watched terrified as his master stared into him with piercing eyes, more so distraught over the idea of displeasing his master rather than death. He nodded vigorously.
“Oh, Darius, give the boy a break. I highly doubt a cutie like him will do anything worthy of such a threat.” Adrastus caressed the human’s chin tenderly, before pulling away and giving their friend a playful glance. Darius simply rolled his eyes.
“Where’s yours?” He questioned.
The vampire clapped their hands together giddily, a beaming smile on their face. “Follow me! I am utterly thrilled that the two of you will get the chance to meet him!”
They led the way to a pair of elegant wood doors, the others following quick behind. “This is my bedroom, where my dearest spends most of his time,” as they spoke the vampire gently opened the doors, ready to quietly slip in. “Give me just one moment to wake him up a bit.”
After minutes of silent waiting, Adrastus energetically whisked the doors open. “Come in, come in!”
Nevan entered behind his master, basking in the view of the extravagance of the bedroom. Everything looked as if it could cost more than himself, and it probably did. His eyes trailed immediately to the lush, gigantic bed, only to land on someone sprawled on top.
The man was adorned with a lavish, fanciful dress, one similar to that pf which Nevan wore. He had shorter, messier cut hair, a face prickled with tiny hairs, and even while curled up loosely, he still appeared to be much larger than Nevan. He had intertwined himself in the fluffiest of blankets, as well as a mountain of the cutest stuffed toys.
Nevan studied the other thrall, admittedly a tad bit jealous, which of course he would never admit. Adrastus must have noticed him eyeing the man, thus grabbing his hand and pulling him over to the bed.
“Let me introduce you two. My precious has been so very excited to meet you!” They yanked him to the side of the bed, inches away from the thrall occupying it.
Adrastus crouched to the thrall’s level, affectionately stroking Malak’s face, and brushing stray hair strands away from his tired eyes. “Wakey wakey, love. No going back to bed right now, okay?” The human groaned quietly, slowly opening his heavy eyelids. With glossy, brown, doe-eyes, he stared adoringly at his own master.
Something bitter and unfamiliar began to coat Nevan’s stomach, sour and acidic. Maybe if he was that cute, his master would treat him like Adrastus did. Like a beloved pet rather than an irritating burden.
Adrastus placed one soft hand on Nevan’s arm, dissipating his difficult thoughts. “Pet, this is Nevan! That other little thrall I told you about!” They gestured to him, leading the human on the bed to lazily shift his gaze. Nevan gave him a small, polite wave.
Adrastus smiled, turning to him, ruffling their own human’s shaggy mess of hair. “This, is Malak. My beloved little thing.” They lovingly nuzzled their nose against that of the human’s. “He’s an adorable one, and I’d just be over the moon if you two could get along. He would be just ecstatic to have a little friend, wouldn’t you?” The human occupying the bed answered with a sluggish smile.
After a moment of smittenly petting their human, Adrastus jumped to their feet, leading Nevan to flinch. “Us vampires should best be going now, you two hang out here.” Nevan flashed them a fearful look. “We aren’t leaving, we’ll still be in the house.”
“Don’t be so tense. You should be able to handle not being around me all the time.” Darius pushed himself up from his leaning position near the door, glaring at his thrall. Nevan’s head swam in dismay, the bitter words of his master reverberating through his mind.
Adrastus practically ignored the other vampire’s irritation. “Before I go, I’ll grab you two a snack!” They gracefully reached into the gorgeous dresser in front of them, pulling out a bowl filled to the brim. “Candies! They’re my darling’s favorite.”
They plucked a wrapped sweet from the container, swiftly peeling it and plopping it into Malak’s parted mouth. The thrall leisurely savored the confection, snuggling deeper into the mattress with pleasure. “I’ll just leave these here if you two want any more. Bye bye, now!”
After pressing a nimble kiss to Malak’s forehead, they made a swift exit, yanking the other vampire along behind them.
“You spoil them too much. I mean, your thrall doesn’t even clean.”
“Well I like him that way.” They exclaimed, their voice disappearing down the hall.
Nevan stood, staring down at the other human, biting his lip nervously. His brain was barren, any possible social skills he had once held sucked from his mind. He hadn’t come in contact with anyone besides Darius for as long as he could remember, leaving him helpless in the current situation.
He fidgeted anxiously with his fingers, before the man on the bed began to move. Nevan startled, captivated as the other man lethargically rolled to the middle of the humongous bed, with a tired sigh.
Gulping down his jitters, he croaked out a question. “Can… um, may I sit?”
The other man gave him a quiet hum, of which he concluded to be in approval.
Nevan clumsily crawled atop the mattress, positioning himself in a slouching kneel. His gaze stayed rigid on the other man, who drowsily hugged onto the covers.
His throat was dry, and his forehead dripped with sweat. He had no clue what to say or do, terrified of messing the entire interaction up completely. He would never forgive himself if he’d ruined the only chance he would probably ever get to make a friend.
“Would, um, would you like another candy?” Malak faintly perked up, presumably from the mention of another sweet. Nevan took his slight animation as a yes, and thus grabbed a handful of snacks from the bowl.
With care, they unwrapped every one, consecutively dropping each into the open mouth of Malak. With each new delight, a gratified purr escaped the man’s lips, to the other’s contentment. Once all he had grabbed were gone, Nevan eyed the candies longingly.
His master never gave them sweets. Would he be mad if Nevan took one? He hadn’t said anything when the other vampire had offered him one earlier. It couldn’t hurt to take just one.
Timidly, he snagged an individual piece, eagerly dropping it atop his tongue. He relished in the luscious flavor, saliva enveloping the sweet as he twisted it along the walls of his mouth with his tongue. It tasted delicious.
He hoped this was how his master felt after feeding from him.
Nevan was pulled from his thoughts as he felt something pulling at the fabric of his dress. He looked down, meeting with the sight of Malak struggling to pull himself onto the other man’s lap. One of his hands gripped onto the skirt of the dress, the other trembled from the weakness of the thrall’s tired muscles.
After a moment of intense effort, he collapsed with his head resting on Nevan’s soft legs, whose face flushed with warmth. “O-oh. Is…is that nice?”
“Mmm…” the thrall nuzzled into the folds of the other man’s skirt, making himself comfortable.
Nevan began to softly run his fingers through the other man’s soft locks, absentmindedly smiling to himself over the way he leaned into the touch. “I bet that’s nice.”
Malak beamed gingerly, his cheek sinking into the mountain of fabric. “I guess you are pretty cute. I can see why your master loves you as much as they do.”
It made sense why Nevan would never be valued like Malak was, yet that didn’t make the pain stop. He wished he was worthy of such treatment, he really did, but he was already well aware that he was fit for the role of a stupid servant.
As he watched the other man sink deeper into pleasurable relaxation, couldn’t help but feel a similar weight grasping at him. The bed was deep and more than comfortable, practically calling for him to lay down.
Adrastus wouldn’t mind, right? If he lay down for a bit? They didn’t really seem like the type.
Lifting Malak’s head and gently placing it on a lush pillow, the man swayed onto the mattress. Instantly, as he made contact with the surface, Malak enveloped him into a warm, tight hug.
After the initial shock melted into elation, he drowsily wrapped his own slender arms around his new friend, earning him the sensation of Malak only snuggling into him more.
“Oh goodness, look how adorable they are!” Adrastus whispered gleefully, shaking the shoulder of the uninterested man beside them.
The two had finished their business unexpectedly early, and had returned to find their two humans intertwined with one another on the bed. They were both covered in a heavy pile of plush blankets, blissfully losing consciousness beside one another.
Malak was seemingly already fast asleep, while Nevan gazed at him affectionately, with eyelids threatening to fall. His fingers gradually sifted through the dormant man’s hair, as he quietly murmured what sounded to be a lullaby.
Adrastus just couldn’t help but gush over the sight. “You must look at this! It may just be the cutest thing I’ve ever seen!” Darius huffed, before turning to look into the room.
To his surprise, he agreed. “I suppose.” He mumbled, fighting the urge to smile even the slightest.
Adrastus was beaming, euphorically giggling with joy at the sight. “I don’t think I can contain myself, they’re too precious! You must bring your little pet over more often!” They held a captivated look, as if entranced by the dreamy sight.
Before Darius could even reply, the other vampire had already danced into the room, determined to shower the two humans with overwhelming endearment.
They slid in between the two, planting saccharine kisses to the skin of both thralls. They caressed both lovingly as well, whispering sweet nothings into their ears until both were effectively deeply asleep.
“Just marvelous, the two of you. I wish you both the sweetest of dreams.” They purred, casting a wave of heavenly bliss across their beloved pets.
