if bungie are really having so much trouble making new ritual armour sets every year they should just either start adding in armour from d1 (yeah they'd have to do retopo and retexturing and the like but y'know. no need to worry about design and concepting)

or go back to the method they used for character asset creation in D1 (modular construction, assets being made of "Bits" and "Bunches of Bits" made in their mashup and gear manager programs (plugins?)) which according to their 2014 "Building Customizable Characters for Bungie's Destiny" GDC talk allowed them to make "a new piece of helmet content in about 20 minutes"

(yes using the mashup/gm bits and bobs asset creation method would result in a lot of reused and very similar assets with potentially less aesthetic variety but they could probably deal with at least some of that by having a team organise assets by similarity and picking the best one from each group or something)

since wolfwood's the only licensed hunter of the group, he's the only one who can take on hunts legally, although the others are more than capable of defending themselves as necessary in an emergency

okay OBVIOUSLY milly has huge gunlancer vibes but i've set her up with a handy Knight Lance her old instructor gave her when she was just starting out with the guild. i like to think she's always making friends with hunters she meets and convincing them to show her some tricks with whatever they're proficient in

meryl has a hand-me-down Guild Knight Saber set from her family that she brought with her when she moved out to work for the guild. guild work is good work for a variety of reasons, and she's probably got more than one relative working for them as well, hence the sabers. her family is generally very supportive

vash is a pacifist. despite this, he keeps one half to a very old dual blade set on his person at all times, as well as a God's Island light bowgun. it's anyone's guess how he got so proficient with both when he refuses to fight

wolfwood has a range of proficiencies with many weapons (chapel never would have let him get so far in his studies if he couldn't be that adaptable), but he tends to favor greatswords, charge blades and heavy bowguns. his Punisher has seen him through some of the worst days of his life

I like how people use Hunter's reaction to the "bad but sad boy" comment as evidence for him secretly hating Luz or something... Even though HP showed us Hunter actually gives a shit about what Luz thinks of him and in HM he's trying really hard to impress her... bc ya know, he cares about her opinion of him.

Also, Hunter caring about Luz's opinion of him is the very reason why she's written out of Eclipse Lake and ASIAS. He would have folded like a lawn chair if she was there. Like this kid really doesnt give a shit about what the other kids think of him - besides Luz lmao

You know, I really hope the exotic class items either have an ornament that's relatively bland/"classic destiny armor" style, or are able to accept any legendary ornament for transmog because like. You warlocks don't care bc bonds are next to invisible but I am a HUNTER and my cloak is 70% of my fashion and while the pale heart style is neat, I don't want to always look like pearlescent leaf flesh yknow.
