Honestly, your shyness is what had originally caught his attention. The idea of him being the one to ruin your innocence was just so arousing. He couldn’t help it.

Hisoka absolutely loves toying with you, fully aware of the way your thighs clench together in a desperate attempt to create some sort of friction, and the way you are unable to keep your hands off him. It was cute, really.

It did not take him very long to figure out you weren’t the innocent little doll he thought you were, not that it was a big deal or anything. - He definitely has a stash of romance novels hidden behind clothes in his closet. Best believe you can catch him in barnes and nobles picking out a trashy, romance book. Shhhh no one should know!

- He has given Harry Potter a shot to understand the hype about it and maybe even got intrigued by the wizarding concept. Classifies himself as a slytherin.

- Has he ever picked up a childrens book such as peppa pig out of curiousity? yes he has. Did he get entertained by them? yes.

- Has read strategy books and history books to understand more about how battle works. He tries to learn as much as he can from them as to not repeat mistakes of the past.

That made him quiet. Hisoka thought you would have known he cared about you by now.

"What do you mean?" He was intrigued. Hisoka wanted to know exactly what he does that makes you think otherwise.

"Are you being serious right now, Hisoka? The answer is easy. You. Are. Hisoka," You explained, obviously confused. "You're the same man that fucked me against a counter and told me to, "clean yourself up," because you didn't care enough to do it."

'oh' Hisoka thought, completely forgetting that day, and all the other days where he did the same thing.

"Oh," Hisoka said, his words matching his thoughts.

You could hear the slight change in his tone when he said that, "Don't feel bad or anything. It hurt the first time, but now it's just expected."

That's the problem. Hisoka didn't want you to view him that way.

While Hisoka does have his bad days, he also has his good ones, and on his good ones he can be extremely loving and affectionate.

You're the reason he doesn't disappear for months at a time like he used to, and even when he does for something work related, Hisoka will call you as often as he can.

"Can we go home now?" Hisoka asked, tired of walking through the grocery store. 

It wasn't something most people would notice or care about, but the fact that Hisoka considered your shared house to be more than just, "the building," (which is what he used to call it) made you smile.

"You can always go home without me. I still have a few things to pick up," you replied, looking down at the list in your hand.

"Ugh," Hisola started, "I guess I'll stay so you don't get lonely."

Him saying that made you roll your eyes. He didn't want to leave you because he knew he would get bored at home without you, Hisoka just didn't want to admit it.

"Sure."

Cooking dinner together is a common occurrence. You'll work on the main dish and Hisoka will work on the side ones. 

Though you did have to ban him from using cards in the kitchen. Hisoka thought it would be a good idea to use them to cut onions.

Spoiler: It was a terrible idea that ended with a disappointed Hisoka holding his cards that reeked of onion, and the onion in 3 pieces. 2 pieces on the floor and 1 being held to the ceiling by a card.

"Well, that wasn't too bad," Hisoka said, staring at the onion pieces.

"There's a fucking onion stuck to our ceiling, Hisoka."

It's okay though. Hisoka made up for it with cuddles and a movie later that night

'Oh' Illumi thought, cutting himself off as he looked at your sleeping form. He could just wake you up or push you to the side, but you seemed so comfortable.

He doesn't mind if you drool on him a bit. He can easily wash his clothes or wipe it off if he wants it gone.

In response, you grumbled and shook your head, unable to form words because you were so comfortable and tired.

Much like Illumi, Hisoka doesn't care about you drooling on him. It's not like the both of you don't swap spit on the daily anyway.

Chrollo

You and Chrollo spend a lot of time in silence together, so you falling asleep on his lap and vice versa is common.

Chrollo will be reading a book on the couch and running a hand through your hair, which relaxes you and makes you feel tired.

He wouldn't notice you were asleep until he tried asking you a question.

"Are you feeling hungry, love?" Chrollo asked, looking away from his book and at you. 

His hand was still running through your hair, deciding that he will order take out for the both of you so neither of you have to get up and cook.

Drool doesn't bother him at all, in fact, I don't think he even noticed.

"What are you doing out here all alone?" You asked Chrollo, appearing behind him on the balcony. "It's cold out, you'll get sick if you don't go back inside."

Chrollo remained silent, staring at the night sky. The cold didn't bother him, neither did the snowflakes landing on his skin and in his hair.

"Chro-"

"I've spent countless nights telling the moon about you," He said, cutting you off. "I'm not sure how I got so lucky to have someone like you."

It may have been dark, but Chrollo could still see the faint blush on your face. You were absolutely beautiful, he's not sure how he has lived this long without you by his side.

You smiled, placing your face in the crook of his neck as you wrapped your arms around his waist.

The only light provided was the moon and the faint glow of the city, but it was more than enough for Chrollo to admire you in.

"I feel like I should be saying that," you responded, leaving a soft kiss on his neck.

Things fell silent after that, both of you enjoying each other's presence. 

You moved your head to study the sky, hoping to catch a shooting star to wish upon - the wish being for you and Chrollo to be happy, of course.

In the end, Chrollo's happiness is what matters most to you, even if that meant you two no longer being together.

You heard Chrollo sigh as he pulled back from you, enough so he could see your face, "The idea of marriage never appealed to me," he said, gently cupping your face with his hand. "Until I met you, of course." 

Your heart fluttered, marrying Chrollo was something you often thought about. 

"For our wedding, I was hoping it would just be us and the group. We don't need anything fancy or official, just two rings and our love to seal the deal."

"Nice to know it's not just me that's thought about our future," you teased, leaning into his touch.

Chrollo smiled, amused that you believed he hadn't put any thought into the subject. "Of course I have. It's something that is always on my mind."

You never thought this day would come. Sure, you were used to Hisoka leaving on his 2 week long missions, but this? Something you only imagined in a nightmare. 

"Tell me you'll be back tomorrow, even if it's a lie," you said, looking up from the ground to meet Hisoka's eyes. "Your lies bring me more comfort than your truths."

Hisoka nodded, a ghost of a smile on his lips. In all honesty, he wasn't sure if he'd ever return - and you knew this. 

"I'm sure I've told you many lies- more than I can count, really," he started, taking a step forward. "But I want you to know that out of all the lies I've told you, I love you isn't one of them."

You felt a piece of your heart break, knowing it would have been better if it were a lie. 

"Damnit, Hisoka. Just tell me you'll be back."

But he didn't. Instead, he took another step and sat his bags down at your feet.

"Do you really think our last moment together should be a lie?"

'Yes,' you thought. It would hurt less to have him make an empty promise. 

It was silent and you were engraving his scent and the way he felt standing in front of you in your mind, afraid to forget even the smallest detail about him.

"Do you think that in another lifetime you chose to stay?" You asked, staring down at his duffle bag.

Hisoka paused, smiling at your question, "I'm sure this is the only lifetime where I wasn't selfish enough to stay."

"Then be selfish, please, be selfish," you begged, tears threatening to fall. 

He had always been selfish. Taking what he wants when he wants it, but something about you- the thing he wanted most, kept him from acting on his selfish urges. 

Saying nothing, Hisoka picked his bag up and slung it over his shoulder. There was no way he'd allow himself to ruin you, he couldn't.

This is it, the moment you've been dreading all day, Hisoka is leaving and there's nothing you can do to stop him.

His hand gripped the door handle, gently twisting it, "It will be better if you learn to hate me."

This man can be sweet and loving as hell when he wants to be, but the second you do something wrong/bad he starts losing his patience. He definitely has a strike system with you, and trust me when I say you don't want 3 strikes. 

Manipulative as hell. Chrollo is the type of manipulative that is undetectable. You won't understand he's manipulating you and he won't ever admit he is. 

Much like Hisoka, he doesn't take away your freedom. He does want you to be happy with him and if letting you keep your freedom is the way to do it then so be it. The only difference is he will ban certain people you can visit and talk to.

Won't lie about his feelings towards you. If he says I love you, he means it. Though, his love is a little different from what most people think it is. His love is more possessive and obsessive.

He isn't super-aggressive, at least not with you. Chrollo's never killed or anything in front of you and he has the patience of a saint so good luck getting on his nerves.

Not very touchy. Touch was never really a thing for him, so it's foreign to him. Sure, he does warm up to you and your touch but that doesn't mean he is open to everyone else touching him. It's reserved for you and you only.

Definitely has a few of the team members follow you around when you go out without him. It's not that he doesn't trust you because he does. Chrollo doesn't trust the world to keep a precious thing like you safe.

If this man loves you he will be caring. Whether it be sickness or injury, he'll take care of you (and kill whoever injured you). Chrollo doesn't play around with your safety. You're the most important thing to him and he refuses to have you in harm's way.

I’m almost done with Hunter x Hunter so I decided to do some Hisoka in a relationship Headcanons.

Main Masterlist

Possessive. Hisoka is definitely the possessive type. In his eyes, if you are his that means You. Are. His. If another man (Or woman. He has no boundaries.) looks at you in a way he deems inappropriate they're dead. If another person talks to you in even a slightly flirty or too friendly way, they're dead. Hisoka does not play around when it comes to that.

Aggressive. We all know this man can be ruthless and how easy he is to provoke. If he's in a bad mood, don't talk to him because he will snap at you. 

Threats. He threatens you a lot. Most of the threats are how he wouldn't tolerate you leaving him and how he would not hesitate to kill you if you tried. Sometimes, it's hard to tell if he's serious or not until you look into his eyes. His tone may be soft but the glint in his eyes says it all.

Needy. Hisoka is one needy bastard. He'll constantly be touching you, sexually or not. His favorite place to rest his hands is on your inner thigh and waist. He believes he's the only one that deserves your attention and will not tolerate you ignoring him.

I'm not sure Hisoka would see you as more than a toy to fulfill his needs if we're being honest. Deep, deep, deep down in that heart of his there might be the ability to love, but he's so closed off and guarded you'd have a hard time getting to it. 

Lying. He has no problem telling you he loves you when he doesn't. He'll tell you just about anything if it makes you happy and wanting to stay with him (not like he'd let you leave anyway). Beware though, you lie to him and it will be a shit show.

Caring? He can be caring at times. Seeing as he isn't totally heartless, he would care a tad bit about you. You can see it in the way he's gentle and taking care of you when you're sick or injured. 

Protective. No one except him can hurt you, and if someone that isn't him does? Painful death for them. Not saying Hisoka would be physically abusive (definitely emotionally though) but he has his moments that he later regrets.

Doesn't strip you of your rights. You know and he knows if you ever tried running he'd find you, so he has no problem with letting you keep your freedom. There are certain friends he prefers you wouldn't talk to but he doesn't ban communication with them, he trusts you to make the right choices.

Does he trust you? On a certain level, yes. I mean, he lets you keep your friends and freedom but he won't tell you anything about his past. He also trusts you will tell him if anything is wrong and if anyone says you did something it's your word over theirs.

Illumi is not the affectionate type. You'd be lucky to get more than a long stare from him most days since he's not good with words or actions. 

He makes an effort to communicate with you, though. 

"How was your day?" Is a common question Illumi asks. If it was good, then what was the best part? If it was bad, then what can he do to help?

Illumi isn't very open with his thoughts and feelings, so you'd be lucky to be told, "I love you," directly.

His love language is gift giving. 

Everytime he takes you out, he is showing he loves you. Be prepared to be spoiled.

There isn't a single thing you can't do with Illumi around. Your wish is his command. He would do anything to keep his darling happy and content.

Possessive. So damn possessive. If another person simply looks in your direction a second too long, their murder has been planned. 

Illumi does NOT play around when it comes to you. They'd have to pry you from his cold dead hands, and even then he'd haunt them.

Like I said earlier, Illumi isn't the affectionate type. He prefers showing his love through gifts, but he can be touchy every now and then.

He has a weird way of showing physical affection. Illumi enjoys running his fingers through your hair while your head rests on his lap, but he doesn't like pda.

I believe I've said this before, but the most Illumi will do in public is touch your lower back as you walk. He isn't a fan of making what he considers private activities into public activities.

Well, this is awkward. It takes a lot to surprise this clown, but let me tell you he was shocked when he found out you and Gon were cousins.

He figured out you were related to Gon when he overheard Leorio and Kurapika one night.

"I didn't expect (Y/N) and Gon to be cousins," Leorio said.

"It makes sense, they act a lot like each other and there are some similarities in between them," Kurapika said.

How did he miss this information? Who knows. 

In the beginning, he only wanted you because you were powerful and met his standards. Now, he wants you for that reason and to use you for information on Gon.

Hisoka doesn't mind it though. If anything, it makes things much easier for him. You are sure to know where Gon is at all times, or you'll at least be able to contact him. So in Hisoka's eyes, it's like killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

It makes him that much more insistent on making you his. Of course, he had motives before, but now they have doubled.

Once he does get you (and trust me, he will), his plans get in motion. It is just a matter of time, and Hisoka has plenty of time on his hands.

Basically, he plans on using you and possibly keeping you around if he thinks you're still good enough.

He's very...cold? Illumi is a very reserved and closed off guy. You probably won't ever get to truly know him. He's never properly coped with his emotions, so that resulted in him basically shutting them down. 

Marriage happens quickly. If he deems you fit to date him, then you're fit to marry him. Illumi see's dating as a waste of time, it's not like you'd be allowed to break up with him and leave anyway, so why not marry right away? You do manage to make him agree to a short dating period though, "If that is what you truly want, we can wait."

Don't expect him to comfort you physically or emotionally. It's not that he doesn't want to, he literally doesn't know how. He knows that a pat on the back is not appropriate, so he sticks to staring you down until you feel better. He even offers to use his pins to temporarily knock you out!

Definition of "Good intention, bad execution." When you're upset, he takes the leaving you alone until you feel better route so he can bathe you, feed you, and spoil you in those little ways. It made you cry harder the first time he walked away like that because you thought he was going to ignore you.

You don't get to leave the estate. Not without him at least. Look, he doesn't want you getting hurt and he likes to establish the control he has over you. It's one of his ways of saying, "You can't ever leave."

You must always look presentable. Illumi always tells you, "There are butlers and maids for a reason. Use them so you look presentable." And you do, you learned your lesson the hard way after all.

He isn't all that bad. You still get to talk to your family twice a week and he spoils the shit out of you. It's the least he can do after taking away your regular life. And though he doesn't understand the whole, "I miss my family." Thing, he still acknowledges it, and let's communication stay.

For a while, Hisoka finds it amusing and even encourages you to use your nen so he can watch you struggle.

It was when you actually hurt yourself that he decided it wasn't as funny anymore. 

And not for the reasons you may think. Hisoka believes he is the only one that can hurt you, so he can not allow you to use your nen unless he says otherwise.

"Imagine being so weak you can't control your own nen," Hisoka teased. "I really wanted to fight you in the beginning, but now I've realized how unworthy you are."

He never passes up a chance to insult your nen abilities. 

"It would be awfully mean of me to let you go so you can fend for yourself with a nen you have no control over. You'll kill everyone - intentional or not, and we don't want that, right?"

You're his pet in a way. 

Hisoka has manipulated and gaslighted you into thinking everything is normal, but I'm not sure how normal it is to have someone control your every action.

I'm not sure he would try to help you at all, unless he deemed your nen good and wanted to use you, and even then whatever you do is controlled by him. 

Your body is not yours to control, it's his, and he has made it very clear.
