Despite his efforts to restrain his emotions in public, such as at the Cele Community Centre where you and his mother work, Thomas often finds himself instinctively drawn to your side. His hand firmly grasps the fabric of your shirt, his protective stance evident to anyone who dares to look at you. His gaze sweeps the surroundings with a discerning eye, meticulously assessing each customer until you gently remove his grip and convince him to wait in the back.
→ Thomas's overprotectiveness occasionally acts as a double-edged sword, simultaneously shielding you from harm while subtly restricting your freedom. As a man of few words, he struggles to articulate the depth of his need to keep you safe, resulting in actions that may be misinterpreted as possessiveness rather than genuine concern or fear of losing you. He means well, but it can feel suffocating.
→ Preferring to keep you within his line of sight whenever possible, Thomas's protective instincts often clash with the demands of daily life, leading to occasional conflicts with Charlie over the use of his time. The older man's frustration with what he perceives as your bad influence over Thomas' attention to his work further exacerbates tensions within the household.
→ Certain areas of the house are off limits to you. The basement serves as a sanctuary for Thomas's work, and he is adamant that you are shielded from the horrors that happen inside. However, he still insists on your presence nearby, perched on the steps that lead down to the space or listening to the radio in the dining room upstairs. Your proximity seems to offer him a sense of security and focus, enabling him to delve into his his task with unwavering concentration and produce some of his best work.
→ Thomas finds solace in words of affirmation and constantly seeks reassurance from you. Despite the intimacy you share and the countless times you've assured him otherwise, he harbours an unshakeable fear that if he loosens his grip even for a moment, you might slip away from him. This nagging insecurity gnaws at him, overshadowing moments of connection, leaving him perpetually haunted by the possibility of losing you.
→ Physical gestures become one your languages of reassurance. You hold his hand tightly, intertwining your fingers as a silent promise that you're there for him. Running your fingers through his hair as he nuzzles into you becomes a comforting ritual, soothing both him and you. Your touch on his chest, just over his heart, keeps his anxieties at bay.
→ Words also become a source of comfort for Thomas. You express your pride in him, highlighting his strengths and the ways he makes your life better. You tell him how happy you are to have him by your side, emphasizing that he's not just your protector but also your partner. Sometimes, the simplest affirmations have the greatest impact on Thomas. Hearing you call him "yours" fills him with a sense of belonging and purpose, and when you tell him that he's been good, he can't help but prove just how good he can be by filling you with his fingers, tongue or cock.

His attacks are brutal and merciless, driven by a primal need to assert his dominance and protect you. Unfortunately, you are also not exempt from his aggression, and when he catches sight of you one night, engaged in conversation with a stranger outside the back of the lounge during your smoke break, he snaps. In a frenzy of fury, he swiftly disposes of the man, his actions marked by a sickening crunch of bones as his body is hurled against the brick wall. Then, turning his attention to you, Michael's muscles coil with tension and his chest heaves with barely-contained anger. Gripping your arms so fiercely that bruises bloom in their wake, he shoves you against the wall, once, then again, as if attempting to jolt some some sense into you.
→ With swift determination, Michael hoists you over his shoulder and retreats into the shadows, his purposeful strides carrying you home. But the journey doesn't lead to the bedroom; instead, he deposits you onto the stairs with a roughness that steals your breath. There, in the dim light, he strips away the remnants of your clothing, his actions forceful and unyielding. Again and again, he fucks into you with a ferocity that leaves you screaming his name, your pleas mingling with the echoes of both passion and pain. In those moments, as his protectiveness gives way to possession and consumes you, you find yourself uttering the words he craves to hear—that you are his, and his alone.
→ Yet, even amidst the ecstasy, a shadow of uncertainty looms. You can never be certain that Michael wouldn't cross that final line, that his compulsion wouldn't drive him to take everything from you, including your life. For Michael, protection is not just about control—it's about ownership to the point of obsession. If he can't have you, no one else can either.

What dynasty are wuxia hanfu based off? The ones in The Untamed and Word Of Honor look cool but I can't tell which dynasty they're based off
It depends on the story/show :D
Wuxia shows can be from any dynasty, or even no dynasty at all. There's a Chinese term called "架空" (jiakong), essentially it means the story takes place in a fictional time period that doesn't actually exist in history. Stories that are "jiakong" have a lot of leeway when it comes to clothing, hair, settings, etc. because the writer/director can essentially do whatever they want.
Xianxia stories (like The Untamed) tend to be "jiakong" because immortals don't actually exist. To put Xianxia stories into actual history, the writer would have to make a lot of changes to what actually happened in history, which can get messy, so most writers choose to "jiakong" the time period just to make things easier.
Wuxia stories (like Word of Honor) can be "jiakong" or set in a particular dynasty. In the case of Word of Honor, it's "jiakong".
Because of that, the Hanfu designs for both shows are a mixed batch. I don't think the costume designers had any dynasty in mind when designing these clothes and instead just went with a basic "look" of Hanfu (long sleeves, long robes) and worked from there.
(If I get any of the characters' names wrong, please forgive me, it's been a while since I saw these shows OTL)
For example, in the pic below this style of flipped out collar worn by A-Xu doesn't fit with any Hanfu styles I'm aware of. The only flipped-out collar I know of is sometimes when wearing quju robes (pic 2,3) of the Qin/Han Dynasties, and he's definitely not wearing a quju.
【EDIT】 The collar of Tang Dynasty robes could be worn flipped outwards to reveal the semi-sleeve inside, but that's not the style A-Xu is wearing here.
Also the long slits in the bottom of the robes they're wearing, some Hanfu styles from the Tang Dynasty and onward do have slits but they were one on either side, and possibly one at the back, more commonly seen with round-collared robes (though not always).
Here Wen Kexing has on a quling (turtle-neck collared) undershirt which is seen in Han/Weijin Dynasties, but then the white robe has a flipped out collar. A-Xu's entire outfit is...lol, I think he's purposely wearing his collar loose like that to portray that he didn't really care about his appearance but technically no collar should be so low as that light-blue robe he's wearing. I don't think that robe actually has a defined collar, the fabric is just loosely gathered but there's no collar "cuff".
In this pic, Wen Kexing has a round collared robe which is seen in Tang, Song, Ming, but then the sleeve is like a half-shoulder vest rather than full sleeve, and that's also not seen in any Hanfu styles.
...Or is that one robe? Is the sleeve connected to that shoulder piece? Because it looks like the robe he has underneath is red (from the collar). I can't tell, but either way, that shoulder design is not a style found in any Hanfu of a particular dynasty.
This couple's wedding outfit is influenced by a mix of Song and Ming Dynasty. She's wearing green, usually seen in Song Dynasty, but her collar is a criss-crossed collar which would be Ming (Song would be like pic 3 where the woman is wearing a low-collared top rather than a high-collared robe). She's missing the "xiapei (霞帔)" which is that strip of fabric draped on the shoulders (pic 4), but it looks like the costume designer put a strip of red along the collar to give an illusion of wearing xiapei.
For the groom, rather than the official round-collar robe he's wearing a cross-collared robe, and his red is more of a blue-ish tint. Usually wedding robes, if red, are a bright red (literally called "China red" in China, xDD).


For this pic below, it's a 1-piece robe with collar piece going across the chest, then straight down from the waist. It could be a Tang or Song style Hanfu, but the sleeves, the belt, and the overall fit of the clothing isn't quite right.
The Untamed made a lot of their clothes really form-fitting against the actors, that's actually not a good fit for Hanfu in general. You want a nice loose fit, even if the clothing is "form-fitting" it's not meant to stick to your frame. Because of this, the clothing in the Untamed always appear a size or two too small (Word of Honor did a better job of sizing their clothes). If they were wearing today's clothing then it's no problem, but for Hanfu it's too tight >_< Then again, that's probably just the style they were going for so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This black jacket/vest definitely was just created for a "cool" aesthetic. Xianxia/Wuxia shows love doing this broad shoulder vest garment, in actual Hanfu there ARE garments that look similar but these shows really run with it.
Here, Jinguang Yao (it's Yao, right?) is wearing a round-collared robe which was popular in Tang, Song, and Ming. The outer jacket and the material (it looks like brocade rather than soft silk) makes me lean towards Ming Dynasty for this outfit.
It also has an emblem piece on the chest which makes me think of the Mandarin Square robe during the Ming Dynasty (work attire for court officials) except: 1) Mandarin squares are embroidered separately then sewn onto the robe, this looks like it was weaved into the fabric 2) Mandarin Square robes in Ming Dynast were red 3) This emblem is round instead of square
So I would say they took inspiration from the Mandarin Square robe but changed aspects to make it fit into the show better (I think the show kept most characters in lighter colours to contrast with Wei Wuxian's darker, bold colours).
There's also things like the buildings, props, etc. to consider if we were to really dig into dynasties. And the hair styles, that half-up half-down thing is purely for aesthetics because in history they wouldn't wear their hair like that (especially considering their background).
There was a short period during the Jin/North-South dynasty when some men did wear half their hair down, but that was ONLY because that period of time was notoriously chaotic and the "rules" specifying appropriate behaviour in society had crashed (礼崩乐坏). Essentially, if you were a "civil" man (particularly with some education from a wealthy family) all your hair is tied up at 15 yo, and at 20 you get your guan (hair piece) ceremony symbolizing you're now an adult.
For women, pre-marriage you can leave some hair down, but tied in the back, not loose. After marriage it all gets tied up.
Leaving hair loose would basically get you labeled as rude, disrespectful, uncouth, uneducated, crazy, you get the idea.
But in shows like this it's a nice aesthetic when they're doing martial arts moves and the hair is flying around, so these days it tends to be the go-to hairstyle for xianxia/wuxia shows.
I hope that was helpful :D None of this is to say these costumes aren't beautiful, just not history textbook Hanfu ^^;;;;

BENDYSTRAW A.U DROP 🗣🗣🗣
Lab Experiment A.U concept!
So in this A.U Bendy is a Lab Experiment while Cuphead is a Scientist who is the lead of the Ink Demon Project.

Bendy is a little taller than his og height. He has goat like legs and hooves for feet as well as spines that stick up from his back and tail.
All features serve a purpose for his species in this a.u.
• claws - for catching and tearing apart his prey.
• top of tail - if you noticed the design of the inside of his tail, it looks slightly similar to a jagged knife, the inside of the tail is used for attacking and killing prey/ threats. It's razor sharp and the very top part where there's a curve is used for slicing the neck and decapitating the body (Ink Demon's don't eat the head off any animal or person).
• Hooves - for easier climbing/ scaling walls.
• Spines - Bendy has spines on both the tip of his tail and back which serve two purposes
○ 1. this is a defence mechanism for when someone attacks from behind or when he's asleep, the spines produce a type of paralysing venom, giving him time to get away if heavily injured.
○ 2. They can also be a sign or excitement or arousal in a rare case, only if they stand up on his back and not tail.
• Lots of fur - this is obvious but it's mainly to keep warm but the chest fur can also be used to carry their young in cause they're born very, very small so they can be placed inside the fur for warmth and protection.
He's very quiet and territorial, he hates the scientists coming into his space, to him the cell is his domain and if anyone is to enter he's fully in the right to harm or kill them.
He let's on that he's stupid and only runs off of 'Natural instincts', communicating through growling and purring (in the rare case) when in reality he's extremely smart and has a complex personality, he's very well spoken but chooses to respond in short awnsers to not give himself away.

Cuphead is the lead scientist tasked with monitoring Bendy and his behaviour, from the moment he was assigned this experiment he quickly became fascinated and quite frankly, obsessed with Bendy who quickly picked up on it.
Bendy at first, saw him as a threat and attacked Cuphead when he first tired to get close to him, cracking his face. Cuphead was more marvelled at the creatures strength rather than angry.
The odd reaction caused Bendy to gain an interest in him in return. Bendy would cooperated with Cuphead and sometimes Mugman (since he's Cuphead's brother) but wouldn't take to any other Scientists.
Cuphead's little obsession soon turned to a full on unhealthy reliance on Bendy, he was crazy for him, he was willing to let Bendy out of his cell on certain terms like staying close or holding his hand when wandering the facility.
If Bendy wanted to, he could intact kill Cuphead and everyone else in the facility.

Cuphead thinks he's in control of the situation when in reality, Bendy has him wrapped around his finger.
Bendy knows Cuphead would be willing to do quite literally anything for him and keeps that in mind, he eventually begins talking to him to establish a stronger connection.
Cuphead is ecstatic when he does so, even staying after hours to spend more time with him, soon letting him out of his cell or joining him in there.
Cuphead begins getting more dareing when it comes to the Imp, more flirtatious and touchy. He started slow by touching Bendy's face and stroking his cheeks or his tail, then moved to grabbing him by the hips and cuddling him and soon leads up to kissing.
Bendy is quite fond of the affection due to the fact Cuphead is so desperate for him, he likes the fact he's actually the one in control.

Would you be able to do a costume breakdown of Bway rusty/Bochum rusty costume
Broadway/Bochum Rusty! OK!

Honestly Rusty is one of the most impressively realised costumes from the design... all the details are there, and it all works!

I'm afraid I can NOT find any pictures of a half-dressed Rusty! Sorry! Seriously it would be useful, as we can see here that his costume is mostly one piece, but his arms are an under-layer.
I know. I KNOW there's pictures of Jamie Golding with that under-layer.... somewhere... but I'm going in circles trying to find them. ANYWAY.
So, Rusty's mysterious base layer is the sleeves, attached to a basic body. The sleeves are painted spandex. (I wonder if it's a backstage video rather than still photos?)
Here you can kind of see inside Jamie's neckline that the red neck panels are - unsurprisingly - attached by snaps. They will line up with the snaps on the main body. Curious that while all the sleeves and thigh panels etc stay on the main suit, the neck panel doesn't? I wonder why.


Just a side note, looking at the mannequin followed by the costumes on the rail, it's interesting how the decoration on his stomach changes. The mannequin costume looks like it's had a few inches cut out to shorten the costume! I always think of that stomach pattern as looking like the Bridge. Whether that's intentional or not, I love it!

Then we have almost all the costume in one piece! The shirt and overalls are attached - in London the shirt was a separate layer but this version it's all one piece that fastens up the back. It's intricately painted, look at all those steampunky details! And judging by the way it catches the light onstage, I think there's a lot of quilting around the wheels etc. I'm not sure how fixed the design is - the one in the background here seems to have different details to the one in the foreground.
But looking at the costume behind there, you can see that the chest plate is held on by velcro all around, and snaps are visible at the top corner. Also you can see the thigh patch is not properly attached - it too has an outline of black velcro, with silver snaps all around the corners. And the ankles on the costume behind are missing their panels, so good clear example of how it goes together!
The sleeves are going to be similar, but a bit more complex. For a while there was one sleeve on display in the foyer, alongside his old hat, and we can just about see (sorry about the reflections!) that the black grill that trims his sleeve is part of the hardware. I suspect it connects to the fabric sleeve just the same as the other panels - lots of snaps and velcro.


Rusty has so much texture going on it can be hard to make out the details! But it looks like his kneepads are held in place using fabric tabs through D rings, that snap back on themselves, and just blend away into the texture. The UK Tour costumes used this technique a lot - a LOT - and in far less subtle ways. Which does have the silver lining of making it very easy to see how it works!

Just focusing on the kneepads here. Joule had D rings on her leggings, and loops that snap back on her kneepads - while Caboose had the tabs with snaps on his leggings, and the rings they pass through on the kneepads. With Rusty it can be a deliberate part of his costume design to have "rivets" for the snaps.

Rusty has plenty of the foam trim that gives most of the characters bold 3D details. This is a lot of hand sewing! I'm pretty sure the rusty orange fabric is spandex, helpful to have the stretch to get smoothly around the curves. The silver trim is sewn on with a herringbone stitch - it's a design feature! Definitely! I suspect the silver is actually a kind of car trim - chrome edging of some kind - rather than something intended for clothing! As is the foam that pads out those details.
Making the solid panels like his chest, thighs, sleeves etc, isn't my area so much - as long as they're sturdy and a bit flexible, you're good. They just need a backing panel with the snaps and half the world's velcro supply installed!

The gloves are half standard leather gloves, with a "gauntlet" of painted, quilted fabric under the moulded wheels. There's a strap - maybe a buckle? at the wrist to adjust.
The belt has more of the raised layers of detail - spandex over foam strips - I would assume there's a solid leather base underneath. Interestingly he doesn't seem to have anything holding the belt in place to the main costume - but the belt and codpiece float and sometimes seem to sit quite low on the performer's hips. I guess you don't want the opposite and getting a wedgie!
The codpiece is another panel like the thighs, this time attached to the front of the belt with snaps, and a strap to attach to the back of the belt.
Elbows! We haven't mentioned elbows! They really are more decorative than protective with the big buffer going to knock your elbow sideways rather than take an impact. But they're a solid foam base, the moulded buffer, looks more like leather than spandex to me.
Construction of the kneepads is going to be basically the same as Pearl, which I went into before - but the curved foam base is covered with the decorative fabrics and painted layer, then vacuum-formed clear plastic shell that's held on with big stitches going right through the pad. A cosplayer on skates NEEDS to be confident to use those kneepads, the costume is less valuable than your body!


Last thing, the backpack. I don't see anything to suggest there's more fastenings than just more heavy duty snaps and velcro. Which does make sense when it's across the main fastenings for the costume, gotta keep it simple if you need to get your actor out of costume in a hurry. I wonder if - although the "shirt" and "overalls" are incorporated as one garment, if the back of the "overalls" isn't a separate layer to allow fastening those snaps more easily. IDK if that makes sense, but snaps are much easier if you can press from the inside as well!
OK. Now I want to go through and find as many pictures of the different paintings on Rusty's stomach as I can find. There's so much gorgeous detail in there that's so easily overlooked!

Maura thinks of Jane every time she has a human heart in her hands. Severed arterials, the scrape of a snapped ribcage, the blood that no longer pumps through a circulatory system.
Maura misses Jane; more than she should, as they have been polite colleagues more than friends for the past few years. She'd thought Paris was going to be Something, that Something would finally happen, but Jane just kept looking at her with those big doe eyes and never said anything. Never touched Maura. Never once, in eight - nine years - never once said she loved Maura.
Maura didn't know what love felt like. She knew attraction and affection, she knew anger and disappointment. She knew what a human heart felt like, cradled in the palm of her hand. Mostly because she cradled one gently right now, examining the tear. An undiagnosed hole. She knew how it felt; metaphorically, of course, because her chest scans had all come back too perfect to explain this pain in her chest since Jane had left.
She works longer hours than she used to. She sees Susie in the shadows sometimes, her beautiful dark eyes watching Maura slice everyone else open. She's good, if macabre, company.
Maura contemplates the heart again. So fragile it needs a cage to dwell in, but so strong it sends blood hundreds of miles every hour. She doesn't believe in miracles, but the heart comes pretty close.
"That might as well be mine, the way you hold my heart," a familiar voice comes from nearby. Maura doesn't flinch; it's her thirtieth hour at work. She often hears Jane's voice haunting the halls. But when she weighs the heart and makes note of the location and depth of the tear in the connective tissue, she sees Jane.
She's in a suit - a proper one, tailored to her hips and waist. There's a visitor's badge on her hip instead of a gun, which means this isn't a hallucination. The Jane of her dreams wears a gun and sometimes little else.
Maura slides on fresh gloves and continues emptying the abdominal cavity.
"You're not happy to see me." Jane's voice is flat and disappointed. "Well, I guess I deserved that. And worse."
Frost doesn't show up in the morgue; he'd always hated it down there. He shows up at his old desk. The blue gardian action figure never moves around; Frankie inherited it and Frost's desk.
Maura doesn't see dead people. She's just very, very tired.
"I'm working, and you shouldn't be in here," Maura says. Her voice is sterner than she intended but also more resigned. "Visitor's pass is only good for my office."
Jane slinks away like Maura has yelled at her. Maura completes the autopsy and scrubs up after putting the body in cold storage with the help of Todd. He prefers nights. He doesn't like people, although he tolerates Maura. He liked Jane.
Maura liked Jane. No, Maura loved Jane.
And Jane is in her office. Maura can sense her pacing before she even opens the door, but Jane is sitting sedately on the couch, looking down at the scars on her hands. Maura has assumed it's night but her watch tells her it's day again and she wonders how long she's been working.
"You look exhausted." Jane's voice is concerned. "When did you last sleep?"
"Tuesday?" It's a question. It's a guess; Jane loves those. She doesn't love Maura. Maura feels a fist slowly clench around her heart. "I don't see how it's any of your business."
"You are my business," Jane says, her voice so low that Maura's heart cracks. It's too late. Jane is relying on a shared past rather than their current relationship. They're acquaintances, if that. It was Jane's choice to pull away, and Maura let her.
"Not any more," Maura says. Her voice is steady. She could use some sleep but Jane is on the couch. She wants, more than anything, to lie down with her head in Jane's lap and have those strong fingers smooth through her hair, to rub the stress from her forehead and shoulders. Instead she sits at the desk, the sturdy wood between Jane and herself. "What do you want, Jane?"
"What I've always wanted. I want you."
Maura shakes her head. Hallucinations are common after a certain number of hours awake. Even though Jane is dressed and wearing a visitor's badge doesn't mean she isn't a hallucination. Jane would never say something like that. Jane has never, never wanted her.
"Can I take you home? You shouldn't drive like this."
"And you shouldn't drive at all. You're not real. You're not really here. You're not here."
Maura panics and calls Washington. They say Jane is on leave.
Of course they'd say that. Maura is nothing to Jane. She's not next of kin. She turns back to Jane.
"I loved you, you know," she tells Jane's ghost. "More than I ever thought a human heart was capable of. I thought it was all hormones and chemistry but it was my heart."
Jane looks worried. There is a reddish brown stain at her waist and her throat and her hands; all her old wounds are breaking open and bleeding on Maura's floor and couch.
Jane always was a slob, was Maura's last thought before darkness took her.

Maura wakes on her own couch to the smell of roasted coffee. She wakes to hushed voices arguing. She wakes to Jane's face peering anxiously down at her.
"Ma said you'd thrown yourself into your work when you came back. She's worried about you. I'm worried about you."
"You've never cared about me." Maura takes the coffee and avoids the look on Jane's face; she might as well have slapped her.
"I might not have been able to say it, but you know I care about you, don't you?" Jane says. She crouches at Maura's feet, looking up at her. "It's why I'm here."
Maura's lived a life feeling unloved and lost. She doesn't know what to say.
"I don't."
"You don't care, or you don't know I care?"
Maura shakes her head and drinks her coffee, avoiding Jane's gaze. She remembers now all the things Jane used to do for her. Her comforting touch, the way she'd stay with Maura when something bad had happened, the way Jane used to hold her.
Used to, as in not for years.
"I'm a coward. You know that."
Maura has seen Jane throw herself off a bridge. She's seen Jane shoot herself. Jane's no coward.
"I didn't know how to tell you. I didn't know how to even admit it to myself. But it's always been you, you know that, right?"
She still hasn't said anything, still hasn't admitted anything. Maura sips again; the coffee is good. Jane paid attention to the details.
"I - Christ. I -" Jane doesn't manage to say what she so wanted to say. She reaches for Maura's hand instead. "Why is this so hard?"
"Because you're not really here," Maura says. "I'm hallucinating again. It's common in people who don't sleep, and I haven't slept since you left. I haven't felt safe since you left."
"I'm a hallucination, huh?" Jane's lips twitch as though she finds that amusing. "I think you should go back to bed."
Maura checks her watch. She should be working. But none of this is real. But she should be working; it's the only thing that makes sense since Jane left. It's the only thing that fills the void Jane left.
"Will you come with me? I'll keep you safe. I promise."
Maura nods; she always believes Jane even though she knows Jane lies. She lets Jane help her to her feet and up the stairs, and then out of her shoes and dress and onto her big soft bed. Jane even uses the facial wipes Maura keeps at the bedside for nights too late for skincare. Jane hovers over her.
"As long as I'm a hallucination," Jane says, and then her eyes soften. All her shields drop and she looks at Maura like she is the single most precious thing in the world. Jane leans down and kisses her, just a press of lips against Maura's. "I've always loved you," Jane whispers, her fingers brushing Maura's hair out of her face. "I was scared. I've been so scared. But a life without you in it isn't worth it. I had to tell you. If you hate me I can leave again, knowing I tried. I'm a coward because I never tried; I had so much to lose. You were too much to lose."
Maura's eyes slip closed. Hallucination Jane is kinder than Jane ever was. She always is.

Maura wakes nearly a full day later. She's cold; her immune system hasn't been coping with her long hours. She shivers and digs out a big, fluffy robe that Angela bought her for Christmas one year. It's not her aesthetic, but it's thick and soft and warm. She showers, aware of the smell of her own body. She puts on pyjamas and calls out sick, then heads down to the kitchen for some hot lemon water. There should still be lemons in the bowl on the counter; they're about the only fruit TJ won't eat.
Jane's there. She's not watching the tv or doing anything. She's just there. Haunting Maura. Maura needs to call Washington again; if they've told Angela she'll need to be comforted. Everyone will be devastated, but Maura is numb.
She's been numb since Jane left.
She makes lemon and honey and yawns so hard she feels her jaw shift. Jane watches, the way Susie does in the lab.
Maura knows Jane will haunt her everywhere. She was in every element of Maura's life; her home, her car, her work. Boston is filled with the ghost of Jane.
"I missed you," Jane says quietly and Maura shrugs.
"I didn't go anywhere."
Jane chuckles but she's hurt rather than amused. Maura wonders who got to cut her open, if they were careful with her magnificent heart.
"I shouldn't have left."
"You shouldn't have." Maura would never have said this to Jane when she was alive. But she's not so it doesn't matter. She vaguely remembers a kiss. She wants to remember a kiss, so she takes one from Jane. She closes in on her and sets her mug down, pushing Jane against the counter. She looks up into a face she once knew so well and sees only -
An emotion she doesn't know. She sees all the love Jane had hidden over the years, all the cues Maura didn't take to confess her own feelings.
She's angry at herself, at Jane. Her mouth is hard and closed when it meets Jane, like a bullet into flesh. She wonders where Jane's body is, if she's in cold storage somewhere. If she's being cut open at that moment.
Jane kisses her back so softly that Maura's entire heart shatters in her chest. She knows it's not real but Jane is soft and warm and yielding in Maura's arms; she kisses like it's something she's wanted to do for a long time.
Maura can't stand it. Her brain has failed her once. She can't stand it. She pulls away.
"I've always loved you," Jane says, and her voice is so tender and honest, her fingers gentle on Maura's cheeks. "Always."
"And you waited until you were dead to tell me."
Jane looks surprised, like she doesn't know she's dead yet.
"I'm not dead," Jane says. "I came home because I was worried about you. I came home because I felt so guilty."
Maura rolls her eyes.
"Why do you think I'm dead?"
"I see Frost, sometimes," Maura says gently. "Susie, too. I figure it must have happened when I saw you last night. Washington said they couldn't locate you."
"They're not supposed to give out my location. But I assure you, I'm not dead. You're seeing dead people? Is that to do with your Chiari?"
Maura shrugs; Jane doesn't care. Jane isn't here.
"What can I do to convince you this is real? Or should I take you to the hospital?"
"Probably the hospital. I don't feel very well. You can't drive though; you're not real."
Jane doesn't complain this time.

Maura wakes. There's an IV in her arm and Jane holds her hand. Jane is slumped in the same suit she'd worn to the morgue, asleep with her head lolled back against the single chair in the room. Maura head hurts.
A doctor comes in and explains the surgery they did. Maura explains that she can still see Jane.
"Of course you can. She's been here all night."
"You can see her?"
The doctor nods and makes a note on her chart.

Maura wakes. Jane is smiling down at her. The smile broadens when she sees Maura looking up at her.
"Hey."
Jane helps her sit up.
"They fixed it. They missed something last time."
That means no more sweet Frost, no more smart Susie. Not that they were ever really there but they'd been good company in Jane's absence.
"You're really here?"
Jane nods and lets her fingers brush Maura's cheek.
"I'm here. I'm not going anywhere."
"Good," Maura says, and she falls back asleep.

It takes weeks for Maura to adjust to being alone in her own head. She watches Jane hawkishly but she never shows any signs of not being real, and Angela and Frankie respond to her in ways they don't respond to Frost. Maura had seen Frankie sit on Frost at least twice, but Frost had always joked about wanting a lap dance anyway.
It's hard. She feels alone, even though Jane has moved in with her. Jane always looks on the verge of saying something but she never does. She just watches Maura with wounded doe eyes and Maura wonders if there's something she's forgetting.
She remembers the kiss too late. Almost too late.
"I kissed you," Maura says one night. Jane is in soft cotton clothes to sleep in and her hair is its old untamed mess. Jane doesn't meet her eyes. Maura's heart sinks. "Oh. Oh. I'm sorry."
Jane's eyes snap to hers. Her mouth tightens like she wants to say something, then her shoulders slump.
"Don't be. I was too late, wasn't I? I'd already hurt you. And it wasn't like you thought I was alive at the time."
"I just figured there was no way you'd have let me if you were alive. And all the rest. I don't know. I don't really remember."
"That's a shame," Jane says lowly. "It was really nice."
"It was?"
"It was everything I'd hoped for. And I'd hoped for a lot. It was worth coming home for, even if your brain is fixed now and you don't need me. I'll find somewhere else to live soon, once you've fully recovered."
"I don't want you to live anywhere else," Maura says before she can think about it.
Jane's smile is tentative, like she knows she can't fix everything overnight. But she's not running away any more.
"It's always been you," Jane says, and she sits up. She looks at Maura's mouth, then back up to her eyes. "And now that I'm real, I'd like to start making it up to you."
Maura tilts her head in consent, and Jane cups her cheek and wends her fingers into Maura's hair. She exhales and Maura feels it on her lips, in her lungs, in her heart. Jane's lips brush hers and Maura's breath and heart catch, then resume. Jane's lower lip caresses Maura so gently that Maura's eyes water with the tenderness of her touch. Maura finds herself moving closer, finds her lips and heart opening to Jane. Jane feels so good; her touch is gentle and reverent and her lips are soft and delicate.
Jane pulls away; not far she presses her forehead against Maura's.
"I missed you. It felt like I broke my own heart." Jane's tone is low and raw and honest, and Maura pulls herself close, forcing Jane to hold her the way she used to.
She settles her head against Jane's chest and listens to the healthy heart of the woman she loves.

Another weird request by yours truly!!! How would the slashers react to the nurse dating Anton Chigurh? BUT! The nurse is almost the complete opposite of him. He's an assassin, they're a nurse, they heal people, he kills people. The nurse is bubbly and very sweet while Anton is stone cold with a deep voice. (You know how he is if you've watched the movie). Also, the nurse is smaller compared to him. They go up to a little bit more than halfway up his chest. Even though they're in a relationship, they act like father and child sometimes. Example: While he's out killing people, he got her tickets to the little mermaid or Indiana Jones. THEY SIT ON HIS SHOULDERA FOR FUN, I STAND BY THAT-The nurse sees something shiny and wants it, but he picks them up and places them on a couch.
Anton: No
Nusre: Aww
But don't get me wrong when I say the nurse is sweet, but when it comes to her man's, she will drag a bitch. Example: Someone's flirting with Anton, they run up behind them and start dragging them by their hair until they throw them down a stairwell, not caring if they're alive or not. Another example: They're talking to him up close, and someone bust through the door, and they immediately take his gun from his side and shoots them. After they put the gun back, they say, "I'm sorry, but what were you saying?" I know this is a lot of information to take in, but can you still try and make this one how you did the Henry cavil one, but since Anton's an assassin, they'll think differently.
Anton really didn’t want to get involved with your work, as he never really involved you in his. He liked you innocent and sweet. You were the perfect cover and even though he had never felt real emotion in his life, you were the only person whose death would actually bother him. And when you got together, he knew you were a strange person, but that’s why he knew you would be perfect.
Freddy Krueger:
"YOU ! I know you !"
Freddy was the first to recognise him. They locked eyes and Freddy smiled from ear to ear. He didn’t remember a lot of people’s brains he visited in their sleep. But oh boy did he remember that one.
"I highly doubt that." Anton answered with a raised eyebrow and looked Freddy up and down. Anton then thought he would have surely remembered the little burnt face goblin if he had seen him before.
"Yeah ! You’re that little freak ! Damn. The nightmares you had ! Ah ! Priceless ! You were the talk of the town between us demons !"
Anton’s eyes narrowed as he then said.
"So…you saw me ?"
There was a moment of silence before Freddy grinned.
"Yeah. I saw you. Whatcha gonna do about it, tough guy ?"
There was a silent standoff before you arrived and Anton focused on you…reminding himself to take care of that Freddy guy later.
Arthur:
Arthur had just finished colouring his hair when he heard a knock at his door and when he opened the door—he was surprised to find someone else with you. You introduced Anton to Arthur and they civilly shook hands. But, as they locked eyes—Arthur smiled knowingly. And while you went to make some tea, they started talking. There was a sort of…connection that formed between the two men.
It led to Anton revealing his identity and secret job. To which Arthur didn’t seem surprised.
"You let fate decide their destiny with a coin ?" Arthur asked—curious. "Isn’t it rather comical to let fate decide of a man’s death instead of yourself ?"
Anton smiled.
"And you play with their lives. I wonder. Does that make you the best psychopath out of both of us ?"
Arthur shrugged.
"You take pleasure in their suffering. I do not. I consider myself a part of them."
Anton shook his head.
"Wrong. WE are not them. WE will never be. And I do not kill only for pleasure. I kill because…It is what I am best at. You consider it healing, I consider it a sport."
Arthur chuckled.
"And yet, you let Y/N live…Tell me. Did the coin also decide of her fate ? Or did you ?"
They stayed silent for a moment before you brought back tea.
Jason Voorhees:

At lunch time, Anton sat next to Jason. Jason didn’t really look at him or acknowledge him at first. He was really into his lunch, but then Anton asked:
"Good ?"
Jason froze. He then looked at Anton with a surprised expression. Was he talking to him ? He then straightened up and nodded. Anton smiled.
"So…Y/N told me you killed 152 people ? Impressive."
Jason blinked twice. Anton had a rather creepy smile on his face. Of morbid fascination. Jason didn’t know what to answer. He then replied in sign language.
Who. Are. You.
You were about to translate when Anton smirked and surprised everyone when he replied in perfect sign language.
Anton. Y/N’s boyfriend.
Jason’s eyes widened when he looked at you—as if looking for confirmation, which you gave. Jason’s eyes returned to Anton who was still staring at him unblinkingly—making Jason uncomfortable. The rest of the dinner went by very slowly as Jason could feel Anton’s eyes on him all along.
Lunch couldn’t end any sooner. He was more than happy to return to his room afterwards and try to forget that rather awkward moment.
Patrick Bateman:
As a fellow psychopath, Patrick could tell right away that he was addressing a fellow faker. However, unlike what most people would expect, psychopaths do not always get along because even though they have the same ‘pathology’, psychopaths cannot read each other well. They are masters at copying others’ emotions and interpret them…But how can they translate each other’s emotions when they neither have them ? It would end in a VERY awkward conversation.
Anton: "…"
Patrick: "…"
Y/N: "Hum…so Patrick, I would like to introduce you to my boyfriend, Anton."
Patrick *plasters a fake smile on his face and reaches out to shake his hand* : "Pleasure." (Absolutely doesn’t mean it.)
Anton: "Same." (Absolutely doesn’t mean it either.)
However, the moment you are out of the room ? All forms of politeness would simply vanish between the two…
Patrick: "…Why do you put up with them ? What is the point of this relationship ? For what purpose ?"
Anton: "…None of that concerns you."
Patrick: "You are right. It doesn’t concern me. At all. But, I am curious."
Anton: "I see. Then I will answer you by telling you that I do not know myself and that one day, I just realised that their life had become…not so unimportant to me."
And that was how Anton explained your relationship and Patrick huffed.
"…You do not love them."
To which Anton replied truthfully.
"Perhaps not. But their existence has grown to mean something for me. And that is more than I thought possible…"
Bo:
Bo: "Hey, Y/N. Who’s yer friend ?"
You: "My boyfriend ! Anton."
Bo *looks at Anton* : "Boyfriend…You don’t say…"
They both stared at each other before Bo smirked.
Bo *smirks and shakes his hand* : "Welcome then, Anton."
Anton shook his hand, but there was a clear tension there. When you left to keep an eye on the other slashers, Bo suddenly yanked Anton by the arm.
"Listen here, bucko. I know a killer’s eyes when I fuckin’ see one. And if ya ever so much as lay a single finger on that sweetheart, am gonna hang you by the intestines at the front gate, ya got me ?"
Anton had a surprising reaction. He smiled. He the caught Bo’s hands and forced them off him.
"You think I am scared of you ? Think again. And next time you touch me ? It will be the last time."
The Penny Brothers:
Pennywise is a BIG fan of Anton. Pennywise doesn’t like emotions and besides, what is there to guilt trip when the man is guiltless ? Anton would fear neither Pennywise or Penny, which means both clowns wouldn’t see him as food. Penny found him boring, but Pennywise was actually unusually chatty cause BOY…that brain’s got a whole lot of blood and gore.
Pennywise *smirks*: "So much blood ! So much violence ! Ahahah ! I like you."
Penny would just be confused. It isn’t often he has to deal with emotionless people. He doesn’t like it.
Norman Bates:
Norman wasn’t thrilled. That’s for sure.
He knew from the start that Anton wasn’t good enough for you. (No one is really.) He glared at Anton and refused to shake his hand—which is rather rare for Norman who is usually very polite.
Once you were out of the room, he glared at Anton once more and seethed.
"If you know what is good for you…You will stay away from them."
To which, Anton only smiled and replied.
"Funny how you think…you have any power over them or me. You may used to have control, but they are mine now. And that…that will remain so, Mr. Bates."
Norman gritted his teeth and his hand twitched. How dared that man…! But before he could reply, you came back…
"Hey ! Everything’s fine ?"
Both nodded.
Both smiled.
Both lied.
Freddy Krueger (A continuation) :
Freddy grinned before looking at Anton as you were about to leave. He cackled.
"No offense, nurse Y/N. But you have SHITTY taste."
You both turned towards Freddy. Before Anton could say anything, your smile had turned into a scowl and you glared at Freddy.
"What did you just say, Freddy ?"
Freddy—oblivious to the danger planning in the air—dug his grave deeper. He snickered.

I don't really write canon x canon so I'm just making this Batman!Fem!Reader-
And I have thoughts on both versions actually-
General thoughts related to Batman!Reader:
While the "Brucie" persona is still a thing- it'll not have the same freedom as Bruce actually had. We live in a society that sadly sees women who are sexually loud as evil and deserving of death- Now I'm not saying you're a prude, no, but I am saying that you're scandals are more based on being sighted holding a man's arm and leaning too much into him, being a bimbo on live TV, being overly clumsy and creating chaos rather than sex scandals and getting topless and dancing on the Ice sculptures in the Iceberg Lounge.
Honestly, you could be friendly with someone and I'm sure there'll be someone to go crazy and think there's something there, resulting in a scandal and/or rumours that may end a relationship.
But all that is an extra precaution to make it much harder to connect the dots. Another precaution would definitely be for Batman to be a man rather than a woman. So, while the normal Batman costume is quite light and tight, yours is fully masked, voice changer always on, and on the bulkier side around the chest plate. (I do imagine this version of Reader is built like a fridge, like Bruce is, but I won't really comment on it beyond this)
The experience of living as a woman would heavily influence that decision. While being underestimated as a woman would give you an advantage, Batman was created to induce fear in criminals, most would only get angrier, more unhinged, if they knew a woman beat them up due to pure misogyny.
But also imagine if it was by pure accident- like the voice changer was to keep your identity secret, and the breast plate was because you didn't want to get stabbed as easily in a death zone, and everyone just assumed Batman was a man. You had zero intentions of making another fake identity, but once the public did, you just rolled with it.
I do, however, think that Two-Face and Catwoman know. Catwoman because Batsy slipped and said an exact phrase her dear, klutzy friend said to her a while back, and started connecting the dots from there. And Harvey knows you and already had theories, he connected them when you slipped into old habits and threw fake punches, hiding real ones. He always fell for them with you out of costume, he still fell for them in costume.
Harley may have found out via Dick or Jason slipping and calling out for mom. (You don't let them live this one down even now, when they're grown adults)
Thoughts on the Marvel Universe:
I don't really have an original way for how you get there- similar to the Loki and Eddie ask probably.
Tony Stark is a pure menace- He's flirting. No matter if you are playing the fake persona or the vigilante persona, he's flirting, and if it annoys you, it brings him even more joy. He'll still be the first to console you when missing the kids becomes too much.
Peter Parker, no matter if it's college or high school Peter, is becoming your favorite, secretly. Everyone suspects it, but they have no proof. Peter doesn't mention it when you slip and call him Richard.
You find Wade as much of a menace as Tony, but he does make you laugh- well, puff out air- so he gets fewer glares. Professor X is a menace for different reasons, you really don't appreciate him trying to read your mind.
Natasha, Bucky, and Steve are fun as a group, they, especially Steve, get flustered when you catch them on your own. Natasha and Bucky, mainly because despite everything that's been essentially brainwashed into them, they still have a hard time picking up your footsteps.
The way you get back is by your kids finding you(maybe by bullying John into helping and by pulling at Zatanna's heart strings to also help bully John- Tony would have tried to make something, but after getting attached, he kept "failing" aka messing it up on purpose. You would be fine here, you made friends, Peter likes you- he's fine with adopting kids to make up for the ones you lost.
The kids hated him on the spot. Maybe Dick tried to be nice but that was soon washed away when Tony was too touchy with you and that was a nono even for Harvey, and he's known the man long before he was Two-Face.
Alas, he lets you leave. What could he possibly do? Take you by force? His mind on that changes very quickly when he finds out what Wanda has done, and just for a second, he thinks that he would have done the same. You just may see him again.
Thoughts on the Creepypasta Universe:
I think it'll be very hard to meet a Creepypasta even in their universe, unless you were deliberately thrown in their backyard, or so to speak. And to some degree I like the Mansion head canon, but not in the "Slenderman is a single father, working two jobs" way, but in the "unwilling allies because I need a place to rest you lanky bitch."
I like dad Slendy as much as the average fan, but to me, Slenderman is a pure master manipulator, will act as whoever you need most in that moment if fear and the usual mind manipulation don't work.
I'm very much mixing the Observator and Slenderman here, I'm also a big fan of the Slenderman is a Tulpa/Egregore story line, so I strongly believe he hunts kids because of how easy they believe what they see BUT I do not think he kills/eats them, the kids going missing/dying is a correlation to him but he's not the cause. He needs his victims alive to spread the stories and fears; killing them all won't do him any good. And also imagine if this gives him access to other universes, simply by one person knowing him.
Like if Reader goes back, Slenderman will have a glimpse in that universe, nothing more, because it's just MC that knows about him, and she refuses to spread word about him even in mission debriefs. He needs a strong line of belief to be able to travel between universes.
ANYWAY- coming back to the reader- I think it'll be really easy for her to survive people like Masky, Hoodie, Jeff, Jane, etc, because, sure,e they may have more strength/agility/whatever, she's Batman.
Laughing Jack, The Puppeteer, Jason the Toymaker, etc, creepypastas that rely on mental manipulation of some kind, but that aren't Slenderman or Zalgo(I think they were my first monster crushes) level would also be easy to deal with, considering how easy Batman survives Scarecrow's toxic gas in the Arkham games.
More monster and less human creepypastas like the Rake, the seed eater, smile dog, etc, would put up a good physical fight, but from what I remember, only Ragface has the mental capacity to like foil traps and understand to be careful when hunting.
I don't think there's surviving Slenderman and Zalgo- maybe living for long enough to be saved, but if they don't play games, I strongly believe they'd be able to kill anyone. Now- if Slenderman wanted to add you to his roster of mindless soldiers, he'd definitely use Sally to guilt-trip you and manipulate you.
And for a while, it'll work, but as soon as you can, you will go back to your world. She was dead, it was Dark JL territory that you couldn't really tread without the possibility of angering the poor spirit. You had your own kids to worry about. Really, you'd be more of a trophy rather than a soldier to Slenderman.
The way to get back would more than likely be through natural portals or one of the mages "summoning" you back.

Scott, who is currnetly crammed into a small dirt hole, stares back at the green, cat like eyes blinking back at him in the almost utter darkness. The eyes of the one and only Tango. The one of the Tek variety.
Martyn had told him to hide, for just a little bit, and he hadn’t expected to wind up in the exact same hidey hole that the other last green on the sever had chosen.
It's an awkward thing, when Scott realizes he's crashed his neighbors hiding space. It also leads to a lot of staring into each other's eyes, because there is nowhere else to look. The hole is dark, only being illumated by a single torch light, and it is so small that he can barely see the walls past Tango's form.
Eventually though, after they've been staring long enough to memroize what each other's eyes look like in great detail. Tango lets out a gentle chuckle. "This is soooo bad if someone finds us!" His words are quiet, and his breath just falls short of Scott’s face.
"Yeah, yeah it would be." Scott agrees, a small smile escaping him. He cannot help but notice how close they are, how their bodies are flushed against each other. He can't help but notice how Tango practically has an arm around his lower torso, because bending it any other way would be uncomfortable. Scott notices how he's basically straddling the blaze as well, because a one by two hole will never be big enough for one person, let alone two.
"Soo....whatddya wanna do?" Tango jokes, his tail flicking against Scott's legs. He smiles in return, running a teasing hand over the other's chest.
"What ever you wanna do~" He purrs, leaning downwards. Tango smiles up at him, their foreheads bumping, until the blaze tits his head to the side a bit more, and a shiver of what feels like anticipation runs through Scott's body.
Their lips brush, just barely, before both them pull back. Well, it feels like both of them, but it's mainly Scott who does so. He's not very sure on going through with this is all after he thinks about it, even if he really really wanted to in the moment.
Based on what little he knew or Team T.I.E.S' members and their pasts, he had to wonder if Tango was with one of them. In a way that was more than friendship. He had to wonder if this would be cheating on anybody, because most of their servermates had formed some pretty steady relationships by this point. (Scott knew he was fine, because what him and Martyn were wasn't like that, but it also wasn't just a friendship either. And Martyn had said it was fine if explored other options, and he had agreed in return.)
Tango gives him a curious glance, one that's maybe a little concerned as well, and Scott voices his concerns.
"You're not gonna be...betraying anyone with this are you?" He asked, one of his hands having come down to cup Tango's cheek.
"No," Tango breathed, their faces barely two inches apart now. "Are you..?"
Scott shook his head no, but before he could finally lean in, there was the distinct sound of Grian’s voice above them. Because of course they would he interrupted right during the best moment, of course.
Both men froze in an instant, yet at the same time not moving away from each other, and stayed deathly silent as footsteps sounded above them. It takes a few minutes of Grian yelling at someone a bit further away, who seems to be either Joel or Jimmy, before their avian friend is gone and the world above them is silent once again.
Scott can barely believe it. They were less than ten blocks under the surface, and half of the people chasing them couldn't even think to dig out so much as a shallow hole. What were the odds of that.
"I don't think they're gonna find us for a while....." Tango murmured against his lips a moment later, warm breath ghosting over Scott’s face; his husky voice feeling rather loud in the newfound silence. And that's the moment be decides to hell with it, and promptly connects their lips.
Kissing Tango is warm and lovely and something like Scott’s never done before. It's less hotter and flamey than it looks like it would be in all honesty. At least in one way for now, because there are hands tugging at his hair and they are edging him on a great deal.
He bites Tango's lip when they go back in for seconds, and the blaze whines at that. Scott kisses him harder after that, and the only thing keeping him from destroying the blonde's neck was the fact that Tango had beaten him too it.
Sharp teeth graze over his neck as soon as they disconnect for a second time, teasingly running over his gills. Scott hums in pleasure when Tango finally bites down, and moves to grab ahold of the back of the blazeborn's head and wrap his fingers in soft blonde hair. Scott cranes his neck back after a moment, letting Tango have more access to bite and bruise his skin.
Not long after that there is the sound of blocks breaking, and the two of them fail to notice until there is more light flooding the hole than torchlight could ever provide. Tango looks up, cat like pupils expanding again, and softly moves away from where he was biting Scott’s neck. Much to the latters disappointment.
Thankfully, it is only Martyn, who blinks at them while he's processing what he just walked in on. As his ally does this, Scott scarmbles off Tango, already missing the other's warmth, and practically stumbles out of the entrance Martyn had made.
"We're you two making out down there!?" Martyn exclaims, a tease and laugh on tge edge of his tone. He's pushed out into the sunlight by Tango, who is blushing like Scott had never seen him before. He sees how much of a mess the blaze truly is once they aren't shoved in a whole and has proper lighting, and he's sure he looks worse. Considering what exactly they'd been doing when Martyn found the two of them.
"Did you want in or something?" Scott asks, and giggles when the comment ends in both the blonde's blushing. That's where Martyn decides to call it a day, and that it's time for Tango to go home. No more making out today, not for the two of them anyways.
But before he leaves Tango presses a fleeting kiss to Scott’s red and puffy lips, and murmurs a promise to visit him later. Scott murmurs back that he'll be waiting, and prepares himself to endure all his teammates teases on the way back home.

Ouran High School Host Club Personality Types: Kyoya Ootori

Kyoya reminds me of Shigure from Fruits Basket, and in more ways than one! I think they're two of the most misunderstood characters because they both play their cards extremely close to the chest, and they both don't mind being seen as dirtbags if it helps them accomplish their goal (or if it hides their true personality). Anyway, here's how I see Kyoya's personality!
Kyoya Ootori's Enneagram
Wound: Kyoya was born the third son to a revered business leader. He needs to outperform his two older brothers if he wants to be considered to succeed the family business.
Wounding message: you must distinguish yourself if you wish to be recognized by your family
Core desire: to prove himself worthy of the successorship
Core fear: being worthless
Defense mechanism: Kyoya keeps a cool demeanor, and is sees the world as transactional. He is highly attentive to detail and keeps notes on all his observations. He rarely shares his true feelings or personality.
Strengths: Kyoya is level-headed, intelligent, organized, dependable, hard-working, confident, sly, and kind (though he would never admit it)
Challenges: Kyoya is vain, jealous, cynical, conniving, insincere, and inauthentic
When healthy: Kyoya connects more readily with his friends and shows his true feelings
When unhealthy: Kyoya withdraws his "true self" even more, relying on his charming mask
Looking at all of this, here's what connects when I go back to the Enneagram post:

Threes live in the Heart center, and tend to underexpress Sadness/Shame.
Wing
The Enneagram Institute calls 3w2s "The Charmer" and 3w4s "The Professional."
I don't see Kyoya having many of the qualities of a 2, so I suspect he's a 3w4.
Truity describes 3w4s like this:
This type tends to be more introverted, serious and focused on work rather than social engagements and relationships. Three wing Fours are consistently working toward personal growth and professional success.
Machi Kuragi from Fruits Basket is another example of a 3w4.
Subtype
I suspect Kyoya is a SO 3w4, though he also has elements of the SP 3. Here is how EnneaApp describes the social subtype of 3:
Status conscious, preoccupied with being regarded highly; hyper-aware of rank
Strives to embody group standards, have the "right" lifestyle, and gain prestige
Alters the self in order to present valued characteristics of most desirable group
Uncanny ability to "look the part" of social-role, including dress and mannerisms

Highly values credentials, titles, public honors/awards, and influential connections
Wants to know: "What school did you attend..." "Do you know anyone famous..."

Attention goes to quality of image and recognition of their performance/abilities

I think many of these points connect to Tamaki's all-encompassing knowledge of everyone's "credentials". While I don't think he's quite as attention-seeking as this image paints, he's very much in pursuit of validation.
I've only had one other SO 3 in this series, and she's a very minor character in Fruits Basket: Yuki's mother.
Tritype
With 3 as Kyoya's Heart type, I think 5 is his most likely Head type, and his Gut type is a little harder to place.
After reading the descriptions of 3-5-1, "The Technical Expert," 3-5-8, "The Solution Master," and 3-5-9, "The Thinker," I am having a bit of pull toward 3-5-1. Here is the description from Katherine Fauvre's website:
If you are a 135, you are diligent, focused, and knowledgeable. You want to be ethical, efficient, and wise. Highly rational, you seek systems and procedures. Detail-oriented, you like mathematical concepts and finding ways to break down and understand complex material. You are very precise and good with exacting details that others find difficult to manage. Often technical, you prefer to work with facts and logic and can, at times, seem unemotional or insensitive.
I do think 1 makes sense for Kyoya's Gut type, since he doesn't really seem to under- or overexpress anger, but he does get irritated easily and have outbursts from time to time, which is quite typical of Ones (...I say, as a one myself 😅). He also seems to stick to his personal moral code, even though that's completely inscrutable to anyone else, and he seems to like to do things a certain "right" way.
This is the same tritype as Hatori Sohma.
Kyoya Ootori's MBTI
Here's how I see Kyoya's Type Dynamics:
Ti - I strongly suspect Kyoya's Dominant process is Introverted Thinking. This can look like "Seeks internal consistency and logic of ideas. Trusts internal framework, which may be difficult to explain to others. Experience a depth of concentration that is objective and analytical." When stressed, overuse of this process can look like "obsessive search for the truth, detached, look only at cons, driven like a machine out of control"
Ne - I think Kyoya is an iNtuiting type, and he extroverts this process. Ne can look like "Sees possibilities in the external world. Enthusiastic and enjoys networking. Trusts the big picture, forms patterns and connections, which can then be shared with others."
Si - Kyoya clearly seems to use Introverted Sensing. He "Compares present facts and situations to past experience. Excellent recall for specific details. Trusts and remembers the past. Stores sensory data that is important to them for future use."
Fe - this is clearly his least-used (Inferior) Process. In times of stress, this can look like "use logic to an extreme in an emotional, obsessive way, hypersensitive emotional state in relationships, strong emotional reactions—loss of control"
With Type Dynamics of Ti Ne Si Fe, Kyoya's MBTI would be INTP, "The Logician", which he shares with Ren Sohma, Katsuya Honda, and, of course, Shigure Sohma.
Here's how the Myers & Briggs Foundation describes INTP:
Seek to develop logical explanations for everything that interests them. Theoretical and abstract, interested more in ideas than in social interaction. Quiet, contained, flexible, and adaptable. Have unusual ability to focus in depth to solve problems in their area of interest. Skeptical, sometimes critical, always analytical.
So, to summarize:
Enneagram: SO 3w4 (The Achiever/The Professional)
Tritype: 3-5-1 (The Technical Expert)
MBTI: INTP (The Logician)
Kyoya is defined by his pragmatic, often conniving, always intelligent thinking. He works hard to prove his worth, though he plays his cards close to the vest and rarely lets people see his true feelings, or his kindness.

Hi I know you've done a few like this before, so I'm here to request more HCs for a thicc!s/o. This time with Spinner and Twice please, because they both seem like fine gentlemen who would be absolutely normal about huge titties. Thank you for your time.

-I know we can play around all day about this but in all honesty I do think he'd be a little normal at first. That's probably because he's not making eye contact down there just yet. He's caught a glimpse when you first joined the league but he battles with his daily demons to keep his eyes on yours. That's probably why you didn't have any feelings for him right away. He likely weirded you out a bit with his direct and intense eye contact. You swore he hadn't blinked in 10 minutes since the conversation started.
-Even now that the two of you are dating he still tries to keep his eyes up rather than down. His resolve falters when you start to experiment with him. Yes you respect him and you love him so you're not pushing for bedroom time together until you know the both of you are ready. However, you take some time to tease him just to play around and hint at your intentions. Also this can be true considering you enjoy seeing his reactions to you.
-Said a millions times before and will be said a million times again: he's going to blush up a storm over you. How could he not? Even if you weren't well-endowed in the chest region, he'd still blush for you. Do you know why? Because he'd be attracted to you no matter what you looked like. No matter how you were, you'd always be his one and only person. He loves you and naturally he's attracted to you.
-Speaking of blushing, hugs can be an intense experience for him. These can bring about a lot of reactions from him. He might scramble to get out of your arms if you're around the others since he doesn't really want to be teased about how red his face is. Despite this, he always craves your hugs not just because of your chest but mainly because of how sweetly your tend to hold him close. makes him think the world isn't all that bad.
-That internal battle with himself is very present in the way he reacts to you. He prays you don't think he's trying to purposefully objectify you or anything like that. It's difficult because he knows deep down he's gonna think you're hot regardless of the situation. It's just that he wants to try and control himself a little more when you're around. He's secretly worried you'll try to leave him if he gets on your nerves too much. You can reassure him to help with these feelings of course.
-If the two of you engage in bedroom activities (depending on reader) then you can bet he's going for your chest first. His hands, his eyes, his mouth. Hell, all of him if you'll allow it! He throws away almost all restraint in bed so be prepared for a lot of flip-flop chattering. You might end up laughing or maybe you'll need to throw yourself onto him and shut that mouth of his for a bit. Depends on the mood and the time. And aside from all of that, he'd also pay attention to all of you not just your chest. It's just your chest that gets the initial attention first.
-Hugs used to be an exciting thing for him. They used to be sexy but now they're not. That's not necessarily a bad thing either. In fact, he means it in a good way. Because now when he seeks you out for a hug, he's looking for your comfort and your love...not just lust. There's a real connection there between the two of you. He knows no matter what kind of day he faces in this big cruel world, he can always return back home to you...to your shoddy little shared apartment. He can open the creaking main door, shut and lock it behind him. He can seek you out in the kitchen, seeing the food prepared or purchased just for the two of you to share over an episode of your favorite screen. He can settle into you on the old couch, be held close and be told all will be okay. He can look at you and know it's the truth, as he falls asleep in your arms, his face nuzzled into you and inhaling all of your perfect smell. You take the weight of the world off this man's shoulders.

14. How comfortable are they relying on other people, and what situations would change their comfort level?
I can't really see them relying on anyone unless it's something calculated and beneficial for them 😭 they've always been in survival mode, and the only person to guarantee some help was Bailey. It takes a lot for them to be uncomfortable besides exposure of their body BUT the things that do are very specific I guess likeee
● Touching their chest, they have the plaything trait so they don't really care if they're groped/fondled whatever and won't do anything but touching their chest...makes them twitch or squirm.
● Being inside of a car or bus, they're fine unless its moving fast or they can't get out.
● Laying flat down on grass or any greenery, take them to the nicest field EVER, and they are still not laying down in that, but they will appreciate the scenery
● Smoke of any kind, especially from cigarettes. They'll avoid anyone smoking one near them just to not catch the scent or intake the smoke
● Walking down a road, if it's more than a 15-minute walk, they'll start zoning out

Bailey: They trust him. Fully rely on him. Will do anything for him, no questions asked. They'd jump off a cliff for him if he asked (They would! Literally!!) Their loyalty goes DEEP, it's no joke, could sell them and they'd still come back to him.
Orphans: The town's society, its hierarchy, working for/with Bailey, and also being heavily influenced (and technically tortured) by his thugs has greatly changed their views on themself and orphans too. Establishing a deeper connection or trusting any one of them is something they would rather NOT do, getting attached isn't any good when you can just go...poof the next day, or possibly manipulate them, OR- (the reasons go on😭) Relying...more like they rely on making money off of whichever orphan they're tasked to terrorize or beat up.
20. What kind of clothing do they feel most comfortable in? What kind of clothing do they wear most often?
All clothing in Doltown tears so easily that they've gone through so many forms of styles until they landed with something they were most comfortable in, AND for defensive reasons too. If you're trying to get in their pants, good luck...that belt does not come off easy. Also, that thing really hurts when whipped with it, ouch. They love love love baggy and loose-fitting clothing, covering a lot of skin, though they're fine with a little- like their midriff, arms, and legs. But more than that, and they'll get uncomfy. It's comfy- what they wear hides their body underneath, and easier to patch up or even flip with their own touches if they want.
You'd often see their letterman jacket and choker on them, though Innogen does change their clothing a lot.(I almost forgot to include their gym bag!!) They have loads of important stuff in it! They like to dress up but save up for when they can buy anything new, which is like...one thing or two...once in a blue. The cooler-looking clothes are expensive, and they aren't spending seventy dollars on a pair of shades... no thank you.

Yay! Great to hear you’re slowly but surely getting there.
I’m curious about if you have writer’s block does it happen due to life events or can it also happen on plot points and if it’s plot points is there one that recurs more often than others? I always love whenn you share your writing process.
My prompt is - meet me in the garden.
Good question! Writer's block usually is just when my brain is tired. I write professionally so if work is really busy, sometimes I just feel fried in that particular area. It's tough to have your job and your hobby be the same thing haha.
It does happen sometimes when I'm stuck on a plot. There's nothing specific, just sometimes I know where I want something to end up but I can't quite figure out how to get there. There are some fics where I just never find my way. I don't ever connect to it and so it all feels kind of perfunctory. But fortunately those are rare. I wrote a post a while ago about how I break though writer's block.
Meet me in the garden
Kate could still feel the gooseflesh from his whisper in her ear. The power this man had over her was truly discomfiting.
She made sure that she was drawing no attention before slipping out of the ball. Her feet were moving far too quickly, her body aching to be close to his again.
An arm wrapped around her waist, and she toppled against a solid chest. Kate laughed, her soul warmed by Anthony's smile. She had never seen him so happy. Her betrothed, though the Ton did not know it yet.
"Careful," he said in a low voice, fingers digging into her waist. "It is dark. Someone could compromise you."
Kate hummed, rubbing her thumb against his jaw. "I was rather hoping they would."
I'm sure the Bridgertons will accept Kate in Waiting. As reputation obsessed as Violet is the rest of the family isn't so I don't see you dwelling on too much. I'm curious about the Sharma side of it though? This is a much more delicate age gap than Sugar with Kate only barely legal. Does Mary accept it? Or will it take time?

Totally. I think Violet really just wants Anthony to find love. She's a romantic and she would never stand in the way if he truly found that person. Plus I think Waiting Anthony isn't as concerned with the opinions of his family.
But yes, I think Mary would be very concerned about it. Like, you babysat for his kid? And he's telling you he wants a future with you? You can't trust that. Plus maybe she thinks Anthony is just one of those guys who likes younger women, rather than Kate being special. So Mary would just plead with Kate not to make any rash decisions (like, idk, dropping out of school or having his kid). I think seeing Anthony be so devoted to Kate would soften her family under any circumstances. And then after they're together like a year and Kate is still happy, I think Mary would start to trust it more.
It wasn't supposed to be you
She'd built a life for herself. The life she had always imagined: a governess, independent, making her own way in the world. Caring for children that she adored in a town that felt like home.
Or had felt like home, until Edwina had visited with her husband. Until Anthony came back into her life and shattered every fragile illusion about her own happiness that Kate had worked so hard to build. Until they spent a frantic, passionate night locked together while Edwina slept at the other end of the house.
And now he was looking at her so tenderly, as if she was his wife, and Kate did not know how she would survive when he left her again.
"It wasn't supposed to be you," she whispered, and Anthony only nodded. Understanding her, as he always did.
"I know."
For Passed Around/Tied Down, do Daphne and Sophie know? Or are Ben and Simon still single in this universe?
Ben and Simon are still single so far! I have wondered what it might look like with their wives involved. I could see Sophie joining in on the fun (which Kate would be okay with...there's plenty to go around lol). Daphne maybe less so since her brothers are involved? Idk everyone in that universe is a total freak so maybe she and Simon would like to watch. 😂

'xisuma oh my god what the hell man' is the sequel to 'grian oh my god what the hell man', also known as Love is the King of the Beasts (and when it gets hungry it must kill to eat) ALSO known as my fic where Grian get's eaten/absorbed by the Entity (does anyone else remember the entity? from the start of season 9???)
So. My Niche.
For those who haven't read it, Grian accidentally falls asleep inside the Entity and wakes up kind of entangled with it's flesh, starting to get absorbed / digested? into it. At first he panics, but then he's like 'oh this is kind of relaxing actually maybe I should just be cool about it'. He gets all mentally connected with the Entity and either it makes him think a certain way, or he's just naturally a bit of a freak and willing to become prey.
Mumbo finds him before the process is complete and sends him to respawn, then has to physically stop him from going straight back to the Entity, which calls out to him sadly. Mumbo says they need to make sure Grian would survive being eaten by a giant sentient rock before he tries it again. Grian begrudgingly agrees and the fic ends with them going to find Xisuma to give the Entity a scan.
Grian and the Entity remain mentally connected. It sends emotions through to him and he's obsessed with it. My freak.
This fic was going to basically follow Grian and Xisuma after Xisuma deems the Entity relatively safe. It is implied that Grian gets eaten by the Entity on the regular as a weird form of stress relief I guess? And Xisuma is curious and wants to try this out for himself.
As Grian is connected to the Entity, he can also sort of taste what the Entity tastes. So...
Here's a snippet from the only part I've actually written:
Strange, the sensation of something touching his skin. Usually so cold and protected, within his armour like an insect within a shell, nothing penetrating the hard metal.
Instead, here, the soft, warm surface of the Entity's insides tickled the ridge of his back. Scraped against his skin. Joined it, melted into it, and quite suddenly he couldn't pull away.
“It likes you.” Xisuma turned his head to see Grian, and barely caught him smoothly running his tongue over pointed teeth.
The avian stared with blown-out pupils. His throat bobbed as he swallowed. “You… taste good.” A warmth, perhaps pride, settled in Xisuma’s chest.
Grian continued, “sweet--like chorus fruit.”
Maybe it wasn’t pride. He gasped, vision blurring, as something heavy punctured through his spine and found its way between his ribs.

'hybrids are friends not food TWO' is a spinoff of I Bite At The Hand That Feeds Me - my au where hybrids are not seen as people, and due to an international meat shortage, are basically rounded up and treated like cattle, farmed for their flesh.
This spinoff takes the story into a more minecraft-based world, rather than a 'realistic' one, with servers, hub worlds, and respawn mechanics. The similarity is that hybrids and non-humans are once again discriminated against and rounded up to serve as food, slaves, decoration, and pets.
There's a lot of lore to this one, as you are aware because we have discussed this au in a lot of detail together, but for everyone else, I'll break down a couple of basic concepts:
Hub worlds: a main, public server world used to move between different servers- can also be used as a home for players who have nowhere else to go. There are several of these, tending to be split up by language as well as distance.
Public servers: imagine the Hub is the centre of a web, and the public servers surround it! These servers are open to anyone (unless they are banned).
Bridge servers: servers settled somewhere between two or more Hub worlds- these tend to feature multiple languages or cultures, or they are heavily modded. Can be public or private.
Private servers: servers a little further out from the central Hub, which can only be accessed if you are invited or whitelisted.
Moderators: each Hub has an elected council of Moderators who are given ultimate power over how the Hub is run- they can (but are not expected to) also influence their Hub’s surrounding servers.
Respawn: players can respawn once killed. If they die on a Hardcore world, they are teleported back to their local Hub.
Permakill: a player can be permakilled (killed with no respawn) by a number of factors:
Dying and respawning hundreds of times in a loop (starts to unravel and corrupt code after about 300 loops, becomes fatal after 500)
Being killed by a Moderator, powerful player, or some form of deity with the intention to permakill
Code decay: code is corrupted in some way, via a virus or an illness, slowly decaying into nothing
Old age: once a player reaches a certain age, their code begins to malfunction and unravel, eventually killing them
Age: players tend to spawn into existence at a certain age and stay that age until they die, unless they are born naturally in which case they will age up to a certain point and then cease to age- the wider playerbase is about 50/50. The average player can live up to 1000 years, but most are not that old, the older players tending to live in isolation or become Moderators.
And here's some History:
Once, humans and hybrids lived in harmony, all accepted as players and treated equally, never afraid of being harmed for their species.
Around 60 years ago, this changed, with new Moderators being brought into power who slowly shifted laws surrounding hybrid players while simultaneously releasing plenty of propaganda to human players about hybrids being inherently animalistic and lesser.
After a long decade of this treatment, combined with an unusual decrease in food resources on Hub worlds and public servers, the Moderators made a decision to rid themselves of hybrids once and for all.
This manifested in new laws stripping hybrids of their rights completely, and they were quickly rounded up in droves, forced into ‘farms’ which basically existed as slaughterhouses.
Many hybrids were permakilled, but an equal amount of the captured were kept to allow the farms to continue production. However, very few actively chose to have children (and due to the stressful environment, most couldn’t) so the farms went out in search of escapees.
Closed servers were broken into, public servers scraped clean of hybrids, and the definition of hybrid was expanded to include human/hybrid offspring as well as seemingly ‘inedible’ hybrids.
The human population was mostly content with the situation, though there have been/are protest groups and individuals who choose not to eat hybrids. Many prefer to hunt and farm for themselves when playing on survival worlds and private servers.
Hybrids caught by farms now tend to not be permakilled, instead killed with respawn over and over again to provide a limitless supplies of meat.
Hermitcraft is a closed and whitelisted server which is designed as a safe haven for hybrids looking to escape the farms. It accepts hybrids automatically, though upon entering they must be screened and every member must agree to them joining. Humans cannot enter without being invited. It is protected by incredibly strong code and firewalls, and is a thorn in the Moderators’ side.
Hermitcraft’s portal is located a long distance from a Hub world, making it quite inaccessible to anyone who isn’t desperate.
Some hermits are human, but they are the most trusted server members, having proven themselves one way or another to be safe for hybrids to interact with.
The Moderators want to eliminate Hermitcraft for obvious reasons, and additionally because it has inspired several other hybrid-safe servers with similar protections.

Okay. I tried to make a list, and it backfired. Quite dramatically. Our numbers are so low now that it just looks kind of sad. How am I meant to carry the torch here? Why did they choose me??
I have to protect them now. I have no idea what I'm doing. This could all end so horribly, and the only thing between us and them is...
It's not even my code. How am I meant to repair it if it breaks?
