silly thoughts but i was thinking about jack and how conflicting of a character he is to me and how stupid i feel for taking him more serious than i should given he is some funny guy coming from the kickstarter, in fact i'd say all the kickstarter characters are very not serious, nobody wanted to put some sad guy in the game, but anyway this is how my brain is

he's just some kid that doesn't know what stuff is for him and what stuff isn't and he has nobody to guide him on this, i think having a character like him living in the context of lisa is very terrible but especially by taking him to brad's journey, not only taking this kiddo to literally slaughter people and him seeing death and blood and corpses everywhere he goes (which he probably sees as normal) but also the fact that he has to be in the same team as other guys who are severely bad influences to him, like you can have him in the same team as people who were murderers even before the flash or guys who could be considered possible sex offenders like it's so messed up

i don't think him being in the game is a bad thing it's interesting as hell honestly, it's just hard to not feel bad for him, i feel like the game wanted to delve into this more and it sort of did but also backtracked? like it never wants to fully talk about this for him. that one convo touches on the subject a little bit but then it just gets cut and youre never given an answer of if jack is okay after that or not lol

also i keep thinking about how aware of this the other companions are? brad even. like dude is seen reading a porno mag and i highly doubt he stole it and was being sneaky about it, i think the other guys know he does this shit but dont stop him

i think some of them would worry but wouldn't feel like saying anything, some would be completely apathetic until they actually realize how bad this is, others would be like 'nah it's okay for his age' , others would know it's not a good thing but wouldn't care, and there'd be others who are willing to say something but don't get listened or get pushed by the meanier companions idk

also i wonder if him being a boy would have make any difference for them because there are actually many people who's opinion on the matter changes depending on the gender of the person but of couse it's bad to put a kid in these situations no matter their gender

Rant about melvik antis because this is actually bothering tf out of me.

I'm happy melvik is getting more traction, but at the same time I'm not yknow? I loveeeeee everything about melvik, the dynamic they could have, the parallels they do have, and even that it's a rarepair. But now people are going to go out of their way to hate it and the shippers, and put the ship in a box where everything is black and white when it's clear everything in the show is anything but. I don't understand when people act like a ship personally offends them.

The entire point of a rarepair is that the characters just interacting is rare. That's why people like exploring them, because they wanna know how they could've have been. "In canon" this "But in canon-" that. We know we don't have anything in canon about them, that's half of the reason why we like them. Also I have it very strange when people think they didn't interact at all in the 7-8 years they knew each other before season 1.

I don't want it to be canon, I'm happy with Meljay being canon, or even Jayvik(since I love them both too), I just want to be able to have something to myself without people making it seem like it's a terrible thing, and that all melvik shippers ruin both of their characters while me(and other melvik fans I know) love them mostly because of how their characters are. I love their canon character development, erasing it would be the worst thing I can think of.

One of the reasons why I jumped on the melvik train was because it was further away from how toxic this fandom is with ships.

I still think it's really crazy that Horikoshi did Midoriya so dirty by having him murder the boy he wanted to save, and, now that he's lost his Quirk, is stuck being lonely for like eight years feeling like a husk of his former self, only feeling like himself again when he gets an Iron Man suit. I'm not a big Dekuhead, but I'm asking around to see what Deku fans think of the writer's choices concerning his conclusion. I'd love to hear your thoughts!! did you like this? did you not? why? etc

as a dekuhead, i agree that killing shigaraki was confusing and i still don't know what the thought process is behind that. like, saving him has always been deku's plan and everything was pointing towards shigaraki rehabilitation but then ... we didn't get it???

so yes, shigaraki should have lived (it aligns with deku's goals and the narrative's goals) and toga also should have lived for similar reasons. i also agree that deku's conclusion should have been expanded upon more — i really wanted to see how killing shigaraki, losing his quirk, etc. truly affected deku, and we were kinda left hanging. but also i sorta just equate that with lack of time / horikoshi being rushed to finish his manga

but i fundamentally disagree with the rest of your ask. it feels like you've developed this opinion based on the 430 leaks and not the actual official chapter; it's just misleading. which i don't blame you for, because the mha leaks scene is fucking awful and has ruined an entire reader base's reading comprehension, which has consequently been perpetuated by the fandom

it's not stated if he feels like a husk of his former self or not. he lost his quirk, true, but he verbally says he's ok with it (ofa was like a dream that he got to live out), and never shows that he's particularly depressed or upset about being quirkless again. i feel like this specific idea is very fandom-coded. everyone was drawing deku sad as fuck for losing his quirk but canonically he appears at most wistful, and normally just neutral. it is what it is, yknow? after all he says himself that he was originally quirkless anyway, so not much has changed.

also he mentions feeling lonely, but i hate this idea that deku has been lonely for 8 straight years. people have twisted this into meaning his friends ghosted him after high school, but like ... how would that even make sense. deku's friends love him so much, will fight at the world's end with him, and he changed their lives for the better. they would absolutely not ghost him. they just canonically don't meet up much anymore, because OBVIOUSLY, when you don't live in the same building as your high school classmates anymore you are NOT going to meet up as much as before. this is just how adulting is. you have responsibilities and jobs and lives now. people hate to hear it but it's the most realistic part of this ending.

again, we have no idea if deku didn't "feel like himself" when he was just teaching. and this idea that he's not is fueled in some weird anti-teacher belief that i'm seeing a lot of, now that deku pursued education in his future. in my opinion teaching is a very fitting career for him; he's been inspiring and helping his classmates as a student, and he loves quirk analysis and gushing to others about their quirks.

he's literally training a new generation of heroes, he gets to work alongside pros (such as aizawa), he's constantly learning more about new quirks ... why is this not the deku we've known and loved? what about this feels wrong? just because he's not a stereotypical hero on the scene, he's suddenly a worse version of himself?

mha has drilled into our heads so much atp that being quirkless doesn't mean you can't be a hero. deku was quirkless his whole life but he had the spirit of a hero, and even when other heroes quit during the apocalyptic era between wars, deku was still out there, doing what he could. he didn't need the money. he didn't need the fame. he didn't need the recognition or the credit, even. he just wanted to help people. and being a teacher is one of THE most directly helpful jobs you could take.

from what i can tell, people who complained about teacher deku and "peaking during high school" and "working a dead-end minimum wage job" were all from the western fandom. i have not seen a single japanese fan complain to this degree. it's definitely a cultural difference but also i think they just read better than us. UA is a prestigious school with crazy name recognition and all teachers there are registered pro heroes. even though deku isn't technically a pro, they recognized him as one anyway, which allowed him to work there in the first place. like hello. over everything we should be grateful he didn't become a cop.

the way i interpreted him getting his suit was that

his friends love him so much they pooled their money all in secret just to give him another chance at actual hero work, even though they know deku's content with his teaching job. probably also so they can see him more, now that their schedules might align better

even though he's quirkless, he is still symbolically — and literally — a hero. turning society's preconceived opinions of quirkless people on its head

it had nothing to do with making him feel like himself again. he was doing fine. the suit is just a (very expensive, labor of love) perk.

and before anyone complains about him "receiving handouts" and that "he just lazed around for years until his friends picked him back up with the suit", SHUT THE FUCK UP. he's done so much for them that they felt it right to return the favor, especially to the one guy they know who earned it the most. also - he deserved a break from all of the shit he went through; why should it Not take him 8 years? do you KNOW how much pain he suffered? that amount of trauma lasts a lifetime. all of you SHUT UP.

as a dekuhead, i think his conclusion as a teacher who also works as a pro hero is awesome and cool and i see no qualms with that. my main concern is that we should've gotten more of a conclusion to deku's ARC and its connection to the story, but regarding his future 8 years later i'm totally fine with it. he's living out his dreams, working with heroes, studying quirks, and keeping in touch with the ones he loves. that is epic as hell

Explanation if anyone cares:

Ripley and Teo: Siblings. Brother and sister, Ripley's older. Live together, do villain shit together, codependent as hell post-heartbreak. Ripley's the yapper, Teo's the more quiet one. Do not separate them.

Rhan and Teo: Exes, dated on and off. Rhan wasn't really as romantically into it as Teo was, and saw it more an excuse to hook up every now and then. It wasn't a very fulfilling relationship for either of them, so the breakup was relatively smooth all things considered.

Al and Teo: Lovers <3 Started as villain rivals, then made out in the tunnels, then Teo performed life saving surgery on Al, then gave Al a place to stay after she broke up with Judas. Now they're taking things slower. Kind of did their relationship shit out of order but hey! They got where they needed to be. Also Teo helped Al realize she was trans that's a big one.

Judas and Teo: Judas has no clue who Teo is, besides the vague idea of someone who picked Al up after they broke up. Teo knows too much about Judas from Al and may or not be planning on ruining his life. The haterisms are more one sided.

Al and Judas: Where do we even begin here. Al and Judas were peak toxic yaoi of their time. Judas, a person notoriously obsessed with control, got into a very close relationship with Al, a person notoriously prone to being manipulated. Their relationship had a very classic "you belong to me" "okay <3 yay <3" dynamic happening between those twinks. What was once endearing turned sour once Judas suspected Al was talking to other villains. It got to the point where he slit her throat, failed to kill her, got stabbed by Al, and Al still apologized to Judas. They kept dating after that! All it took was Teo finding the tracking device Judas put on Al's suit for Al to finally put her foot down and say "Yknow what? fuck this" and she left him.

Ripley and Judas: Ripley just hates the guy on principle. Judas' tendency to attempt to establish his authority everywhere he goes versus Ripley's natural hatred for anyone with authority.

Rhan and Judas: Coworkers. For some reason I have no idea what their actual dynamic is. Judas hired Rhan once for a job and then became the person he vented to when Judas and Al broke up. Rhan keeps blocking his number but for some reason Judas is under the impression they're friends.

Al and Rhan: They don't know eachother very well. Rhan knows Al is the person Teo's seeing after they broke up. Al knows that Rhan was the person Teo was seeing before they got together (and a little bit during. It was complicated.) Who is jealous of who? Don't worry about it.

Ripley and Rhan: Haters but for no real reason. They're both assholes with weird complexes and gay in the opposite directions from one another. If they were normal kids they would've played wolves together. But they're grown ass adult regenes and neither are willing to be friends.

Ripley and Al: In avi's words: "Ripley acts like he's annoyed [by Al and Teo] but he actually thinks it's cute. He likes seeing Teo so happy. Al might think Teo's affection is more subdued but Ripley knows Teo, and that this is the height of romance for her. He genuinely really likes Al in that 'if you break my sister's heart you're fucking dead' kind of way. Once he gets past the initial 'There is a Stranger in my House' weirdness, [Ripley and Al would] end up being really close. Al probably thinks Ripley hates her a little bit because Ripley shows his genuine affection through loving teasing. Ripley hopes Teo and Al stay together forever"

i think yeah, if nina's gonna stay a "villain", the megamind thing is a decent fit. i could also just as easily accept an interpetation that, the villainy thing is almost more like. a hobby? like she does it just, as a fun thing to do with crash and coco and co., despite any protests. like they have a big battle till the machine of the week explodes, and nina goes "good job guys, same time next week :)", and assumedly coco is like "nina uh, could you actually not, maybe? nina?"

pairing this with the other ask (that im Assuming is also from you LOL but idk) just so i can get my full thoughts out, which are au,mm a lot . and apologies if they arent written especially well i do kind of think of these things as i write them so. be excited for run on sentences and a bunch of bullshit parenthesis

but see i get your complaint here. i know there's a disconnect from like, twinsanity where shes entirely mute to tag team racing where she DOES talk, and then to crash of the titans/mind over mutant they definitely all feel like slightly different characters. (not to mention the spyro/crash game she was first introduced in where she sounds like shes like 8 or something LMAO)

personally i enjoy her character in tag team racing the most but thats because she has SO much dialogue in it i think that it actually gives you a good sense of personality. but i also think that coco is the best personality wise in that game for the same reason so . (not that i think all of the characters in ttr are uhh. great🫩 but nina and coco def shine for me)

idk i also think tag team is good for her because it feels like it could fit most in line with her like lackadaisical attitude from twinsanity i can definitely see her still skipping around and like. having a good time. shes overdramatic and confident and funny. a little snotty but i like herrr ... i like her lil ugly ass❤️ shes shot two people ect

THAT BEING SAID . idk! i feel like i can give a pass for COT/MOM nina acting a little different (i honestly dont even think its That different from ttr but there isnt a lot of time to really see how she acts . because its not a good game heart) because it feels like shes older in those games and so i feel like (at least how i interpret this change in character but i doubt they thought about it this hard) its less that they went with how she looks and more like i can just See her being less silly and more sneering and brooding over time? like especially if you take the shit cortex does at face value and hes genuinely shitty to her along with him being her only (LIVING. BY THE WAY. LIKE IM PRETTY SURE HE KILLED HER PARENTS? IS THAT NOT THE IMPLICATION? not that i think she KNOWS that) family i can see Why shed loose her smile and whimsy and joy as she gets older and starts internalizing that. idk! i know people hate the titans games (Understandable . I Get It) but i actually like a lot of the plot threads brought up for her too. her doing well in madam amberlies and being the top of the class is good to me and it would make sense that you could interpret her being put in evil public school that after cortex kind of . attacks the head mistress in twinsanity gets her kicked out and after he gets tired of dealing with her in COT she gets sent there instead . so theres another thing hes ruined for her yknow. of course shes pissed off and hates her life now shes getting swirlies and physically attacked every day and she Sucks and everyone hates her . and its FUNNY. I LIKE IT.

and i think that whole having her life ruined over and over could lend well to her becoming a good guy sure but i also think it lends really well into her feeling the need to Really be better than cortex as a villain. because shes canonically smarter than him already anyway i think being able to succeed him while being 'evil' in her Own way (and not the way hes trying to force her to be) would be important to her. i think she values the control that taking over the world would give her as well since shes never had that before! shes had every choice she could make ripped away from her just like her stupid hands. imo, i think she deserves to go crazier actually.

which isnt even to say i dont think she could become good eventually. i think once she gets her turn to be an actual villain instead of an asset and gets it out of her system with coco and crash and everyone she could kind of learn to Settle and be a little more normal.

my base thing with all this here is that i think if she is redeemed it has to be gradual imo. because cortex has been there her whole Life. hes hurt her and manipulated her in that more insidious way that he hasnt Done to the other mutants like crunch, and thats where shes different. she doesnt have the luxury of breaking out of containment from a lab or something because as far as shes aware cortex is all shes got! so her becoming more angry and stuff at her situation and kind of eventually realizing shes being used while also being Raised to be a bad person still i think is going to have a bad impact on how she moves forward before it evolves into her realizing she Can be a good person and be loved like that.

because! you know! she doesnt and has never had friends so she doesnt know what THATS like. has probably not been hugged enough as a kid bc i knowww cortex is conditional as fuck with his love (if you can even call the few times hes nice to her love) and even when he Does say hes proud of her for the evil things she does shes STILL punished for it which is in turn going to make her think she isnt good enough and overcompensate for it. he literally took her hands bc he didnt like that she got to feel joy from petting animals . she cant touch anyone without physically hurting them. so like theres noo way she isnt going to develop severe trust issues on top of that.

and this is just under the assumption that the bandicoots are treating her normally from the jump and are wholly Good and nice . bc personally i liked the weird one sided rivalry thing that coco has with her in ttr also where coco is like fuucking obsessed with her for no reason and is constantly trying to beat her. and i dont think coco IS a good person in the same unconditional way crash is (but i can get into that later) so i think itd take a lot of time for coco to want to open her arms and give nina the opportunity to change . and see that shes more than a villain trying to kill them? especially because for the most part i dont think nina would be willing to show that kind of vulnerability to her outside of extreme duress. LMAO.

THIS ALL BEING SAID of course this is also the less silly fun way of seeing these characters and more me taking everything too seriously i guess. and i DO want nina to have fun still ofc . i do see her interactions with coco and the others even when shes fighting them as like the singular positive thing going on in her life so i think she seeks it out a lot! because its banter and something physical to focus her energy on and even tho theyre on opposite sides shes being treated like an equal for once which is really good for her. its just that she assumes that the only way to Get that kind of treatment is to Keep Being Evil. which is also fun for her anyway like she clearly Enjoys being a bit of a menace even back in twinsanity so.

WC is profoundly xenophobic already with just the cats, and I think it was a CATASTROPHIC mistake to make it so every animal is secretly intelligent but speaks animal language. Now every conflict between cats and their predators is an ethnic dispute! You're chasing out groups of people perfectly capable of reasoning if you bridged the language barrier, but they're also ACTUAL PREDATORS.

AT BEST; It's the same uncomfortable situations that Zootopia and Lion King ends up tripping over. In Zootopia, predators are used as an allegory for oppressed groups... but predators are MADE to eat prey. A rabbit is RIGHT to be terrified of a fox, twice its size with a jaw made for catching bunnies. Carelessly adding sapience to "natural systems" often ends up accidentally justifying bigotry. If it was completely nuked it from the story, the series would be immediately better with minimal change. Holly caring for what is essentially the clan cat-equivalent of an exotic animal like a chimp or a tiger cub would have done the same thing

There is not even a glimmer of an idea here that justifies the poison that full sapience does to the wider implications of the series.

Don't even get me started on the Badger Debaucle in TNP, which is actually in my top 5 for most vile things in WC

So if I don't explicitly say that a species in BB is capable of true language, assume it is non-sapient. Talking animals like Midnight and Rat Leader are magical individuals-- gods, curses, etc.

You single handedly started a hyperfixation.. It's such a mysterious place! That would be kinda fun to have the mountion so much closer lol. Actually, I used to think the well of souls was connected to the ancient grove and that the mountain of Malefor was separate lol.

Shattered Vale theory:

While it's never explained who lives there, the fact that there was enough people to "warn" was also interesting to me. Who knows, maybe that's where the Cheetah villages were originally, and that's why the one we see in Avalar was so small and simple in construction. Why the chief holds such animosity. I have a little HC that the cheetah aren't from that part of Avalar, but were forced there. Maybe females and cubs are hidden somewhere while the males are trying to secure a safe location for the village.

Here's a map I made with "inkarnate". I only used free assets, so excuse some oddities.

Some edits you'll notice:

-The compass is weird, I know...But I didn't want to shift the whole map.

-While the in-game map shows the catacombs to the left, I personally think they were behind the Burned Lands, taken there to bring out the Golem.

-I moved the dam because I HATE that there's a dam stopping the ocean from getting in, seemingly for no reason. I guess to make a dry passage? Maybe it was meant to stop the Ruins of warfang from folding, idk. It makes more sense that there's a dam to redirect the mountain water to feed the dragon city/lands, which is why it's such a big deal and a huge risk to destroy it.

-There's a mountain pass that Hunter's leads us through to get to the City safer, but he's captured before that, so I have a ridge there, as a way to separate the provinces. Before the volcano was erected by Malefor, this line of smaller mountains would have continued.

Lower map, Islands:

-The leviathan below, is the same one that helps Spyro in the first game, after we see some islands that resemble Tall Plains. It helps guide Spyro to Volteer. This is the same leviathan that saves him when he flies off and nearly drowns after the Fellmuth Arena, traveling all the way to the White isle.

-These are all based directly on the maps from the games, with some assumptions. The dark spot I assumed to be Boyzibig, the mountians assumed to be tall plains and the leviathan faces towards Dante's inferno, and that errie shaped island is concurrent skies, where cynder has her metals from Monitions Forge sent.

-Most importantly, concurrent skies looks very similar to the White Isle. Gems and light sand... So I wondered if the chronicler is hosted on one of 100s of small islands beside it, making it nearly impossible to find him.

Myabe the islands make more sense to the right, but given how the orginal map hints at this big area above it., it juist made more sense, yknow?

I also assume these islands are the same islands that the first game has. Back when the dragons where sent away from the "forgotten realms" (something mentioned in Spyro 3).

saw a cool advice about writing that got me thonking about JP and SF6 again so here is the post and also some incoherent Thoughts:

One of the reasons that makes JP so compelling to me is how his whole deal is contradictions. Contrast inherently generates interest, it's a core design principle. And stuff like surprise or unexpectedness are part of what makes humor funny, or, why good* twist endings are thrilling to uncover

*of course any narrative tool is only as good as its execution. illogical or forced "twist villains" are hated for this reason. neither will throwing every cool trope onto a character automatically make them a cool or well written character.

but regardless, i love that the devs were cognizant about the stuff the OP from screenshot is saying about how, people are not made up of rigid code. emotions make us do illogical things, or the circumstances leading up to a particular event.

so stuff like, JP is usually a calm and collected person, who doesn't get into physical fights because that's so beneath him. but you get his health down low enough, and he's got the meter for level 3,

when he's forced to stoop down low in this unnecessary fight, getting backed into a corner, that's when he shows his true colors. cutting loose with his critical art and reveling in the carnage.

or, why Ken is much more interesting to me in SF6 than before. he's been portrayed as a pretty positive guy, who's gotten his whole life ruined by getting framed. he's lost everything that matters to him, but the way he acts, as irrational it seems to people like Guile or Luke, makes total sense for the character. Ken's strong sense of justice and desire to protect his family are what pushed him further into his revenge quest. it's disheartening to see a 'hero' character losing himself to revenge, even entertaining murder to achieve it. it's an organic and believable development for his story

which might be why i can't help but want a bit more with Bison as a character, cause he really feels still... quite the same? despite yknow amnesia (which is already a bit of a cop out that ultimately doesnt do much like. him losing his memories changed... not much about his goals, or personality, or even circumstance. he's STILL trying to achieve absolute power and control, using Shadaloo, but it isnt exactly new for him???)

like take his horse: Bison sees the creature struggling to live, and respects the strength and tenacity of it, enough to bring it back to life using his powers, now made to serve him as his trusty steed. it's also... very reminiscent of FANG's story, him having shown great strength and tenacity against Bison, and being given a chance to serve him because Bison recognized FANG's strength like- this doesnt DO anything new to reveal more about Bison. yeah he values strength, yeah he values people (and horses) who are useful in serving him. but we've been knowing this already.

i wouldve much preferred seeing Bison be conflicted about, his own urges foe conquest for example, in having so much power already without an explanation or motivation for Why. we get him uncovering his past memories and such but, there just isnt a great character arc for him despite that. he's right back into "arrogant FOOLS"-ing everyone like day 2 of being amnesiac

i could even imagine his amnesia instead being used to subvert his actual "power' within Shadaloo. like, there COULD have been an exploration into the power dynamic between Bison and the scientists, who are experimenting with Psycho Power/ Bison's memories and physical state. stuff like classic patient/ researcher power imbalances.

also, we have the previous leader of this giant organization, who doesn't remember it at all- but he's being told he is. revered. feared. admired. by seemingly everyone around him. but then there's a whole other faction, Neo Shadaloo, that don't want Bison to be back in power again.

it's just dancing on the edge of exploring the tension with, who can he trust? who is REALLY serving him and his vision, and who are only using him to further their studies into Psycho Power, for their own gain? how much of the things he's being told, really what happened or things he did?

maybe it's my personal preference, but a SF6 Bison who is more paranoid and insecure about his safety, despite having so much physical power and command over everyone, because he's forgotten so much and can't ensure loyalty through fear/ force, is a more compelling angle for "all powerful dictator who has amnesia". idk it'd been a fresh spin on how previously, Bison didn't care at all about loyalty, only power and a willingness to serve. but having this new Bison have existential trust issues because of his memory issues seems both unexpected but natural, for someone in his predicament.

I’m gonna out these under the cut tho, just in case.

Texas has some nerve damage in his eye and side, which is where he happened to have been given two star scars, courtesy of Mexico’s A+ parenting.

He’s VERY insecure about the tiny bit of pudge that he has. He doesn’t care that it’s not that much or that he can’t help it. He hates it. And he’s tried starving it away a few times, but he never got that far. Someone just hold and kiss the poor thing 😭

He’s ambidextrous, but he doesn’t use his left hand. Why? Well. Growing up, being left handed or using his left hand was forbidden. So um. Yeah his left hand was broken multiple times throughout his life (or at least until it wasn’t forbidden anymore) and now he either can’t feel his hand or he can feel it way too much. And it on days where he can feel it, it hurts A LOT. But he still uses it. Oh! And his hand is really shaky and tbh, I’m not sure that it healed right.

I feel like he definitely has a bunch of branding on him from when Mexico owned him.

This mf can handle A LOT of pain, or at least he’ll make it look like it cuz yknow. He doesn’t want to be scene as weak.

A vast majority of the deaths hes had were absolutely BRUTAL. And painful in most cases too. Even if they were somewhat quick deaths. Safe to say that anyone present needed new pants after.

^at least three of them were from him getting his torso crushed, and he now has a LOT of nerve damage and chronic pain in his back and torso. Mostly his back. And there’s a bunch of scarring too.

^lets not forget about Confederate repeatedly slamming him into a wall (or tree I can’t remember) until he went unconscious.

Listen- for each of his lives no matter what parents he got, he’s gone to church. And honestly, Texas was probably part of the worship team (basically the band that sings the music for non denominational and Pentecostal churches) for a LOT of them. And he absolutely LOVED it. He loved being a part of those teams with other cool people and being able to sing and all that. BUT. A lot of times, the church’s and/or his parents’ views ruined it for him and he kinda dislikes it now. And he’s trans and bisexual too so- r.i.p.

He’s the type to start dissociating when he gets yelled at and go completely nonverbal. He hates it but. He hates being yelled at more.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Texas loves cuddles, and he loves hugs, but. He CANNOT. I repeat. CANNOT. Handle having his arms and/or legs restrained from moving, since he can’t defend himself and he has no idea who has intentions of hurting him or not.

He also CANNOT handle being approached on his blind side. He might panic. He will freeze up. He can’t see whoever approached him, and he doesn’t know who they are or what their intentions are.

^and because I must, PA is an asshole and finds joy in scaring other states, mainly the bigger "tougher" states like Texas, so sometimes he’ll just sneak up on Texas on his blindside and yell "boo!" or smth. They usually end of fighting after since Texas is the type to resort to "fight" in the event that someone scares him. So um. Yeah.

Him not getting any of the brotherhoods anything, seperating the box (creating said brotherhoods that we know is a problem), an evil mastermind or at least seems to be, Flame hates him and tells us never trust him (mind you we are led to believe Flame is more of 'the good guy' between the both of them), being careless to the other eevees, manipulating(?) daisy, you mentioning one time that dusk will be hated by everymon and gets left behind (except by Vay and Dawn i'm pretty sure) in the future

This isn't dissing you in any way, i was just genuinely surprised to learn that you liked Dusk with how much you set him up to be someone we should hate

Dusk doing all of that and being evil was actually *drumroll plz* ... ... ... A COMPLETE ACCIDENT! One that I wasn't aware of until someone who read the comic told me! :D I as a kid just made him a Mary Sue who controlled everything and I didn't realize it! He was my favorite character actually. So then when I found out "shoot, all the things he does is actually kind of bad", I did start to dislike him, BUT YOU SEE, HE'S JUST TOO CUTE!!! And I feel sorry for him QwQ. He genuinely just wats everyone safe and only does what he does out of fear of losing control and bad things happening to everyone due to him not having said control again. Ofc, his actions are still unacceptable, but his motives are pure (most of the time). But yeah his actions are still REALLY REALLY BAD and theres no defending him at all. BUT I STILL VERY MUCH LOVE HIM DESPITE THESE ACTIONS. But he deserves everyone hating him.

But like. again, that again is another issue I personally have with SSEC, isn't it?

Dusk deserves to get punished for his actions. He lies, manipulates, and hurts everyone around him. And like, as things are right now. He def will. EVERYONE will leave him, and he'll be in the position he fears the most- being alone. TRULY alone. And no one is going to reach out their hand to help him because- why should any of them? He ruined their lives, lied to them, broke their trust, hurt the ones they love, etc etc.

But like.

I don't really want to write that anymore tbh. It would be really great to see, don't get me wrong, but like. hmm.

A story. There was a point of time where the active people in the Discord server hated on the main cast and only spoke of the In game eevees. i was hyped about them liking the eevees at first, but as time went on, people showed more and more animosity towards the main characters. It wasn't that these people hated the mains passionately, cause I'd love that. They just didn't care about them, they were apathetic. And these were the core fans that were active in the community daily. Now. I spent years and years crafting these characters and their personalities, so honestly this really hurt me. ^^; I over compensated and said things like "Oh yeah the mains are supposed to be assholes" and did things like focused more on the eevees rather than the mains. I was told things like "The main characters are just not likeable" or "I don't care about the mains, I care about (eevee who has no personality)" by these people who were big fans of my work, and just felt really really bad. Because- The main characters kind of deserve it. I made all of them have BIG flaws, i made all of them do awful things, so why not latch onto one note characters who have done no wrong? Characters who you can shape into anything because they are essentially a blank canvas. Either way, the whole experience made me not like the eevees much, something that I only came out of last year.

With the current trajectory of the series, ALL of the main characters will get exposed for all the shitty things they did and get punished for it. They are the leaders after all, the Politicians, you can say. They are the ones directly in the way of the happiness of the eevees. Their actions or Inactions directly cause mostly all of the issues in the box. They are kind of all the bad guys! Blizz gave the Icedrop leadership to Vay and beats up eevees, Vay is abusive to eevees in his own brotherhood, Bolt cant do anything without Dean and lets Dusk get away with the things he's doing, Flame just does nothing for his brotherhood, Dusk is a tyrant, Daisy is a loyal follower of said tyrant, Eve is a liar, Dawn beats up others and is NEVER THERE. LIKE! I don't blame anyone for not liking them, they are kind of all horrible if you look at it. But I still like them despite these negative traits, and like, I don't really want to write a story where they are the big bad evil guys. I don't want to write a story where the main characters loose all of their friends and hope and can't get any of them back due to their own shitty actions and just remains alone, the thing they fear the most. and I don't want everyone suffering due to the actions of these characters. I want more of well- things like this scrapped script:

Dusk: *Dusk is in the rain, his fur drenched and his spirit broken. As he walks back to the small tree he called home, he idly kicks at a pebble on the ground. Nearing the tree, he looses sight of the pebble, and he looks up, trying to use his arm to lift up the fur in his eyes.* ……? *There, he sees Blizz under his tree, holding an umbrella alone, He seemed to have been waiting for him a long time, as the glaceon was fidgeting with a leaf and there were a small pile of them on the ground next to him.* Blizz: *looks up excitedly, leaf forgotten, and waves at him* Hi Dusk!!! Dusk: *frowns, skeptical and hesitant* ….. why are you here? Blizz: *frowns at him, confused* Why wouldn’t I be here? I wanna hang out with you. Dusk: *Dusk stares at Blizz, in disbelief. Blizz….. So… I wanna help you feel better too. *He smiles* and I want you to know… that you are not alone. Even if you think you are. I won’t abandon you. We're still best friends! ^^ Dusk: ... *after staring at Blizz like he's crazy, Dusk starts laughing, as tears still fell down his face* You are- an idiot, he says inbetween fits of sobs and laughs* Blizz: But I'm YOUR idiot! :D *Blizz smiles, as Dusk starts sobbing again*

But like- why would Blizz even forgive him? And even if he did, to get to this we have to slosh through a bunch of things, a civil war, a couple betrayals, more characters getting hurt, someone (not Dusk) getting disowned, more mains being frankly awful. And personally, I don't want to write that. That was never what SSEC was meant to be, but what it turned into due to poor planning. But that's what the hundreds of comics and thousands of writings have built up to, so I keep pushing on.

But I'm kind of tired of that.🙃

And if you are wondering why I keep talking about this stuff and not doing anything about it, the only reason why I'm talking about this stuff publicly is because I am in fact, doing something about it.

and even though uly and eurylo aren't really close to each other and its not like they hate each other but also they just. get on each other's nerves a lot (they're like. strangling each other mentally and sometimes physically), they still feel like they have to stick together for poli and penelope

idk if you allow discourse on ur blog but if they adapt helaena's children to be aemonds, I will actually scream.

not cause I hate the pairing or anything (I love them both) but the fact that it will ruin everything.

aegon's main motivation during the dance was jaehaerys death, if jaehaerys turns out to be aemonds, the greens plotline is entirely fucked and blown out because then the argument of "the war is happening for no reason, aegons son isn't even his own!" to further make the greens look stupid, when fire and blood has much more depth than that.

i would love to see intimate moments between aemond and helaena, I just don't want the kids to be his, hell, even if maelor is his, i wouldn't mind it, but not jaehaerys, it will ruin aegons entire character, make the greens look stupid as fuck, and serve no purpose as to the real reason why the war is even happening, that's just bad writing.

I usually do not allow discourse cause I'm just a fanfic girl, but your point is extremely valid, I love Helaemond, Alysmond, literally any ship with Aemond (cause in my eyes he isn't maidenless 💗)

But I don't want the plot to be sacrificed just for that yknow, I think Helaena and Aemond can still love each other even if the kids aren't his, that's what makes Aemonds love for her more better I think(?), cause he is willing to see the kids as his own and fight for them, it will be more tragic kind of love but still be nice 😩💗💗💗💗
