How did you got into skylands? What was your first game, which game impacted you the most?
I started playing in 2011! When spyro's adventure came out! I played that game a TON with my sister and really enjoyed the story and characters. I played up until trap team, but stopped at superchargers because 1. Cars confused me. 2. My wii was already ancient by then and didn't have long. The first two games will always be my favorite! Swap Force's story beats made me kinda annoyed as a kid, but it's there as like, last game I really enjoyed!

Gareth notices first and as soon as Gareth has a thought he has to share it.
They’re at Hellfire (now hosted in Mike Wheeler’s armpit of a basement) having just finished a long combat when Eddie declares it time for a break and without any further preamble dashes up the stairs, taking them two at a time, and calling dibs on the main bathroom.
The others are taking a bit longer to get to their break. They all stand like they’re in some kind of synchronised swimming competition and all reach up in unison to crack the various bones that need to, heaving out groans and mumbles about shitty chairs.
“So,” Gareth says as he rubs his fingers in his eyes. “Eddie has a crush.”
Jeff collapses back in his chair to burry his face in folded arms with a groan. “I can’t do this again, Gare-Bear.”
Gareth wrinkles his nose at the nickname, and mentally curses his mom for using it around his friends. They’ve never been able to let it go.
“Wait, what?” Dustin asks. His head is bouncing between Gareth, Jeff, and Grant, eyes tracking over their faces to see if they’re just trying to fuck with him. As if Eddie’s love life wasn’t already tragic enough without the added fun of trying to bother some kids with it.
Grant nodded sagely. “Unfortunately, it only gets worse from here.”
Mike, who had been half way towards the stairs, now joins in. “What gets worse? He’s being normal Eddie, or like, as normal as Eddie can get.”
Gareth shares a long look with his bandmates, all seemingly coming to the same conclusion. These kids were here to stay, that much had become clear after the Spring Break/Eddie in a coma Saga, so they could be let in on a few Eddie secrets, not the big one, never the big one until Eddie told them. These were more secrets about Eddie that Eddie was completely unknowledgeable about.
“You remember the bartender at The Three Brothers we spoke to to find out about the curse?” Gareth says, somehow becoming the voice for the older members of Hellfire. “Did you notice the way Eddie described him?”
“He talked a lot about his hair?” Will offered quietly. He was new to Hellfire so Gareth didn’t really know him, but just from the way Will played his cleric, he could tell that he was a damn sight more observant than his friends.
“Exactly!” Gareth pointed. “That is Clue 1 in the ‘Eddie Munson Has a Crush’ textbook. He gets so hung up on that one thing that he likes the most about who he’s crushing on, get ready to hear a lot about the NPC’s hair. Clue 2 is that when he comes thundering down those stairs in a minute and realises we haven’t actually done anything with our break, he won’t be shitty about us taking extra time. He just gets nice outta nowehere.”
“Eddie always hates when he has to wait for us though!”
Jeff finally pulled his head up from his arms. “Just watch, and it’s the one good thing that’s going to come from this crush, so make the most of it.”
The four boys all gave each other looks that seemed to be conveying a whole conversation. They seemed to come to the same conclusion just as Eddie, as Jeff predicted, thundered down the stairs, skipping the last one so he could jump to the floor and theatrically clap his hands.
“Who’s ready to get fucked up by what I have planned next?” He asked, not even noticing the way the rest of the boys hadn’t moved from their places stretching next to the table.
“Sorry man. I still gotta go to the bathroom,” Lucas quickly said before Dustin could start grilling Eddie about his crush.
Eddie shrugged with a smile. “No worries, Sinclair. You gotta go when you gotta go, right?”
This was particularly offensive to Mike, who when he first joined Hellfire had been forced to squirm in his seat for over an hour while Eddie threatened to kill his PC off if Mike left the table to use the bathroom. He turned his gobsmacked expression to Gareth who could only raise his eyebrows in a kind of ‘told you so’ gesture.
Lucas, to his credit, didn’t let on that he was also gobsmacked and rushed up the stairs. Will and Mike followed him quickly, stumbling out an excuse about getting more drinks. Eddie being amenable was seemingly still too new to let them make the most of it, the Corroded Coffin boys had at least been through this three notable times before.
“Get me a coke while you’re up there, please?” Eddie called out after them. He kicked up his feet to rest on the edge of the table, crossed at the ankles and rocked back onto the back two legs of his chair. He turned to the Corroded Coffin boys. “I’ve been thinking about arranging this song, not our usual style but I think it could sound totally metal if I did it right.”
“What song?” Jeff asked carefully.
Grant caught Dustin’s eye and mouthed ‘Clue 3′. Dustin nodded as if he were mentally taking notes, which if Gareth knew anything about the kid, he probably was. He took to the puzzles Eddie laid out for them with more gusto than anyone else.
Eddie closed his eyes and brought his hands up in front of him as if he were tenderly cradling his warlock. His fingers worked over imaginary frets. “Dancing in the Dark. Springsteen.”
“That’s Steve’s favourite song,” Dustin blurted out, clamping his hand over his mouth when Eddie’s fingers paused in the air.
A slow smile spread over his face. “Is it?”
Gareth turned to his best friends to see the expression he wore mirrored two times over.
Holy shit.
Eddie was crushing on Steve Harrington.

For the director's cut, I would love to hear more about Legend's thought process and motivations once he met Hyrule in Adjuration! 🥰
Thank you for an actual scene selection everyone else had me pulling out a random number generator. Fucks sake. Love you guys. Also sorry this took like… a month, writing is hard.
This is going to be long. And though it might be analysis for chapter two, it will contain spoilers for the whole story.
Key: [quoted text in brackets] my analysis out if brackets.
[Time to deal with the strange Hylian. The same strange Hylian who came out of a now-vanished portal that also spat out a monster.
Link did not get this far in life by being the trusting sort.] Okay this sets the tone. Legend is immediately suspicious. He knows something fucky just happened, and that this person is involved.
[“So…” he says to the figure now sitting up on the ground. “Who the hell are you?”
There’s a faint mumble from the Hylain shaped pile of dirt at his feet.
Link sighs. “You need to speak up a bit.”
“I’m…” the kid's voice is raspy, as if he hasn’t used it in a while. He coughs, trying again. It’s a bit better this time.] Crying in Rulie-loving sorrow. This boy has such a hard life. I wanted to make sure the readers understood that without rubbing it in. I also wanted to make it clear that Legend was noticing these things. [“I’m no one. Just a traveler.”] Nick name establishment. Also secret world-building. I have so many thoughts about the world-building of each of their eras. And I was holding myself back chomping at the bit not to pull a Tolkien and overshare.
[“Bullshit.”
The kid’s eyes go wide. “No, really!” There’s an almost raw edge of panic to his voice now, and Link almost feels bad. “I’m not anybody important, I’m just passing through. I’ll be on my way now, thank you for the help.] They have known each other for about two minutes and Legend is already aware of a few things. This kid is involved with some kind of Dark Magic, he’s on the run, and he does not want to reveal his identity. This is ringing some trauma bells for Leggy. He is seeing himself, and he is getting sympathetic.
[And before Link can so much as laugh at such a pathetic attempt at a lie (and it is a lie, he’s been on enough quests to be able to tell a nobody from a somebody) the traveler scrambles to his feet.] Little meta joke here. We the player, we the reader can tell an NPC from a main character. Legend, who thinks in meta terms, can too.
[The thing is, Link is retired. He’s put in the work, done his time. He’s spilled enough blood and lost enough of his life to goddesses and princesses and lost wayward souls that this is the point in the story where he wants to take the guy at his word.] So… Link. Not Legend. Link. He is so tired, and so done. Its been four lifetimes of misery and he is done, thank you. [Link wants to shrug, turn around, and continue on his way home. He wants to turn and run through the woods, back to his house and slide the bolt in the door and have Ravio tell anyone who comes calling that the hero] This is the only time that Legend thinks of “hero” in the general lowercase noun and not “Hero” as a proper noun. Why? Well because a hero would do such a thing as to hide from a quest. A Hero would not. [is not home because he is not going to be answering any more calls to greatness. There will not be one more quest.] oh buddy. *sobs* Rulie’s “got one more in me” later down the road as the direct foil to this thought. Rulie’s death is the catalyst for the rest of Legend’s character arc, like his entrance into Legend’s life is the catalyst for the plot.
[He’s retired, by the Three.] Yeah man keep telling yourself that.
[But right before he can do just what it is he wants, the stranger goes to leave first. And the poor thing takes one step, yelps like a kicked dog, and crumples back to the forest floor.
“Fuck.” Link can’t help the curse] The sympathy is now at a boiling point. Legend cannot help but care. Cannot help but try to help. [and he strides forward, towards the kid, away from home.] OKAY so the “away from home” bit is both directionally in the scene and narratively in the plot. [It’s only a few steps, but it’s the wrong way, and Link has done this enough times by now to know that it really is those first few steps that count.
Those are the ones that you can’t take back. The ones that all the rest come after.
Link takes them anyway.] I can’t even start with this part. The repeated theme of Legend “going the wrong way” of him doing the dangerothing anyway, despite his well-earned survival instincts. I… listen, Legend was suicidal. From day one. He knows he can’t undo this. He knows that another quest will probably get him killed. He does it anyway.
[“Hey, easy there,” he all but whispers, dropping to his knees next to the filthy kid. “I’m not going to hurt you, okay, Traveler?”
Big eyes stare up at him. They are full of fear and distrust, and a painful glint of hope. “Okay.”
“Okay.” Link sighs, takes another deep breath. “Is it your leg?”
That gets a weird combination of a nod and a shrug. “Ankle, actually.” The kid smiles at him. And it really is a nice smile, soft, and a bit shy. “I got my foot twisted under a tree root.”
He can’t help but wince because, yeah, been there. “Well that’s not too bad then.” Link grins. “A brace, a red potion, and a few days rest, and you’ll be good as new.”
The traveler nods, some of the stress seeming to bleed out of his shoulders. “That’s what I thought too. Thanks.” He pauses, gulps before continuing. “Thank you for handling the moblin for me. I… I’m not at my best right now.”] This whole section is about deepening the sympathy. He is looking at Rulie amd seeing his younger self (I have Rulie at 16 and Legend at 20) and he just wants to help. (Time: “Let me help.”)
[“No need to thank me.” Link’s smile, previously genuine, turns bitter. “That’s what heroes do.”
Just as he was starting to loosen up, the stranger tenses again, every muscle going taut as a bowstring.] So they have different reasons for the same action (getting tense). Legend is a ball of angst. Hyrule is afraid if being recognized.
[“You alright?”
“...What do you mean ‘hero?’”
And that tone of voice right there? Suspicious and untrusting? Waiting for the other shoe to drop? Link knows that tone of voice. He uses that tone of voice on the daily. He loves that tone of voice. But only when it’s coming from him. Out of another mouth, it just sounds sad.] Here Legend is an inch away from self awareness. So close. But more importantly, his recognition if the self in Rulie is getting even stronger. Every moment is another moment that they are more alike in Legend’s eyes.
[But hey, in for a green rupee, in for a gold.] LOL.
[“That would be me,” he says with his most winning smile. “Link, Hero of Legend, savior of Hyrule, chosen by the Goddess… you get the gist.”] Here I have Legend give the titles of three out of five Heroes that Link will be. Chosen, Legend, and Hyrule. This was foreshadowing no one noticed because why the fuck would you? What I did to this boy was unhinged no one saw that coming.
[And the kid just stares.
And stares.
And stares some more.] Me too buddy. Legend is so pretty.
[This is getting ridiculous. Link shakes his head. “Listen, I’m not really in the market for any missions, or quests, divine or otherwise. Firmly out of the whole kingdom-saving business. And the princess-saving gig as well. So why don’t you just tell me where you’re heading, and I’ll make sure you get to the nearest town in the right direction in one piece and we’ll call it even?”] Last attempt to avoid the situation, and he is still trying to help. What a dumb bitch.
[Those deep green eyes staring up at him suddenly roll back, and the boy goes limp.] Baby boy! Also the green here. Yes it is Rulie’s eye color. But it os also Ravio’s eye color, and every single detail Legend notices about this kid gets him more attached.
[“Well, shit.” Link grumbles, running a hand through his hair. What could have been an hour-long detour on his day is now a problem with a capital P. Because as much as he might want to, Link isn’t actually capable of abandoning some poor homeless-looking teenager in the middle of the woods. Especially not one who fainted at the sound of Link’s name.
That thought makes Link pause. Did he faint? A monster was chasing him, it could be blood loss. It could be more than just his ankle.] Standard worrying here. He feels responsible for this kid now.
[He reaches out tentatively with a small brush of magic and almost sighs in relief.] OKAY BIG MISTAKE. Rulie is the Triforce. Legend loves the Triforce. And the Triforce loves Legend. They magically harmonized here. Imprinted. Zinged. From this moment on they were both attached. [The issue is clear now. There’s an empty well where the kid’s natural magic should be, almost drained but nowhere near dangerously so. The fainting wasn’t about Link at all, it was the adrenaline fading off and the strain the poor kid’s body was under finally catching him.
The memory of that strange portal flares in his mind. That incident coupled with this guy being certifiably drained of magic after falling through makes Link realize a couple of things real quick.] Smart Leggy. Good Leggy.
[First, this kid probably made that portal. Second, he came through it as a last-ditch resort. He was running from something, or someone. Third, this poor Hylian has a lot of magic at his disposal (not only did he make a stable portal but he and a moblin went through it before it collapsed), magic that still pushes out in a wave, nauseatingly strong despite its low levels.] Bitch that’s the fucking Triforce.
[Link is almost afraid to learn how much the kid will have after he recharges.] Again, the Triforce.
Now to fast forward about three paragraphs, because while I like those paragraphs very much they can be entirely summarized as: Legend is so suicidal. How did none of you notice?
[One arm slides under bony knees, the other behind the prone Hylian’s back. Nayru’s tears, he won’t even need a power bracelet for this, he’s so thin.] So… I’m not crying, you’re crying. Their first moment together perfectly mirrors their last, and that is fine, that is so fine. Nothing is wrong here, I am okay.
[The Hero rises, an unconscious stranger held delicately in his arms.] Here we go. The pivot to Hero as a proper noun. The acceptance of the call. The attachment is personal and magical, and our journey begins with Legend carrying Rulie to safety, when he knows it will kill him. (And kind of hoping that it does.)
…this is a loop. The beginning is the end.

Tumblr media
Star Stable Online is a MMORPG! its plot seems to get pretty wild!
upon discovering that Fish was an option in the drop down name creators, i cackled with joy. this is Rusty Fishfish and Futurefish
Tumblr media
our goal in this world was to become Fish. one glorious leap into the ocean showed us that it would be harder than anticipated, due to having taken a ‘dangerous’ fall. luckily it doesn’t seem like horses can be injured, even though the screen flashes red if you trip while jumping.
i joined right after the new character models became available. i think they’re pretty neat! some of the body types looked androgynous to me, but the game calls you a girl regardless. but you can still buy facial hair in the shop!
the world is a nice size! it’s scaled small enough that you feel like you’re going places even when your horse is physically moving a little slow, and the world is big enough that there’s plenty to explore while still being small enough that you see other players going about their lives pretty frequently.
speaking of other players! shout out to @ro-sso for warning me to never open the global chat. i did! i asked how to get hay after very rapidly forgetting what i had just learned. three people told me it grew on a farm. i said Ok. when i did find the hay (in a shop) i told the chat i had been betrayed and bamboozled and they said “BAHAHAHAHAHA”. later i used the Say chat to ask for help finding a championship that was starting soon, and everyone nearby was very helpful. you win some you lose some
quests seem to be the biggest part of the game! they’re how you get player and horse exp and level up and get better stats for competing. a lot of the quests i did felt very tedious. lots of riding back and forth and delivering messages and so forth. the worst ones involved herding horses that kept splitting into smaller groups and running around a mall doing errands for a sketchy guy. my favorite quests were the ones where i got to open my backpack and drag a tool onto something, which felt like playing Nancy Drew. there was also one where we got to follow the visible smell of pumpkin pie on a trail to a little cottage, and it was nighttime so there were cricket sounds as well!
there’s so much love and soul packed into this world! there’s a pony who was elected mayor! there’s a pirate themed race that has music just similar enough to the Pirates of the Carribean music to remind you of it while also remaining distinct! there’s a riding club that “wears pink and not only on wednesdays.”! there’s a girl with a pet owl named Toby who says “Even though he blathers about it, Toby loves bugs.” there’s vague sounds of people talking in areas with lots of NPCs! there’s a kid with a hot air balloon who takes you up to the cloud kingdom! he has a pet frog who can ride on your head! there’s an emo electric violinist who was really funny! you can get a kitten for your saddlebag! the music is pretty decent!
the clothes very strongly remind me of being 12. something about the slightly awkward way the clothes fit is nostalgic. there were also lots of flower crowns for the summer solstice!
a huge point for this game is that it has its own pride festival!
Tumblr media
there’s just something about going to a new place and seeing rainbow flags everywhere, especially after the horrors of horse isle 3. i hear this game also has canon lesbian characters! this does make it even funnier that all players are assigned Cowgirl at login
the one thing that really surprised me is that if you play without a membership, you are apparently trapped in a demo version, and the rest of the game is locked behind a paywall. this sprang up on me after i started running out of quests. the game told me to level up to unlock more main quests, but the only way to get player exp was to do quests, and i pretty much ran out. this concept is really foreign to me, since every game like this that i’ve played before, the membership made your life much easier and more posh, but free players could still get a lot out of the game. games like club penguin, pixie hollow, animal jam, etc. it’s only about $5 a month, though, with a permanent membership option for over 50 dollars. i have not purchased it, but if I ever do, i will update my rating. :)
while googling the above problem to figure out what was going on, i learned that there's no level cap and there's seasonal events that give EXP, so even if you've finished the whole game, there can still be players more powerful than you with better stats dominating the competition. that seems ! a little rough! they also said that after you beat the game, there's not much left to do. hopefully the fun part is the journey and not the destination!
all in all, though, we did it. we became Fish.
Tumblr media
and that makes it all worth it.
i’m rating Star Stable Online 4.5 out of 5 stars!
★★★★✬
please feel free to submit horse games or ask me to reevaluate! next up is Alicia Online!

For the HSR ask game:
Favorite 4* Character
Character who doesn't have a quest yet, but should
Favorite non-playable NPC
Plot thread you're most looking forward to seeing in the future
Bonus question: any other (generally positive) thought, theory, or headcanon that you've been dying to talk about, but haven't had the excuse to mention before
HSR asks
Favorite 4*
Okay, this is cheating a little because he also has a 5* alt, but Dan Heng. He's had the most development out of most of the 4*s, main character privilege, but listen. I love my boy. He sucks ass DPS wise and he's been holed up in the archives for 3 patches but I love my boy so very much. Nevermind that I robbed him of his LC and half his relics to give to Dr Ratio... They can share I promise!
Character who doesn't have a quest yet, but should
Xueyi and Hanya, both of them. By a long shot. They're very recently released, I know, but I can't believe they don't have a quest, even just one between the two of them. Xueyi featured in the Luofu main quest a little and both of them were present as more important characters in A Foxian Tale of the Haunted, but the quest still wasn't focused on them - and they really could use one focused on them! Have you seen their lore? Come on!
Favorite NPC
Nanook. Just kidding (except not really), my serious answer would be Yingxing but his NPC status would get debated. He qualifies though, and I'll die on that hill. So know the actual answer is Yingxing, but for the sake of a proper NPC answer it's Dan Shu. She was a great character who gave a different perspective on both Lan and the Xianzhou's immortality, and I really enjoyed her quest. And her voice, she had a very nice voice.
Plot thread you're most looking forward to seeing in the future
I'm so, so interested in the Trailblazer's relationship with Kafka. Their ongoing plotline is deeply intertwined with hers, she even said as much herself, and I'm interested in their forgotten shared history too. I wonder if we'll ever know more about the time they spent with her and the Stellaron Hunters before she wiped their memory... And I'm looking forward to discovering more about that so-called destiny of theirs and how it intersect with hers.
Any other (generally positive) thought, theory, or headcanon that you've been dying to talk about, but haven't had the excuse to mention before
There it is, the question that has a 100% chance of wiping my memory as soon as it's asked. But! Here's a headcanon for you. March I think was the one who mentioned every got their own room on the Express, but so far there isn't one for the Trailblazer. So until a new update drops one, it'll be my firm belief that they sleep in everyone else's rooms. Particularly Dan Heng and March's, and occasionally all three of them in March's bed since she has the biggest one. All lined up in a cuddle pile like the dango trio they are 🍡

Wave-verse Jason playing sims was so funny. The King Lear reenactment and Bella Donna left at the alter we’re such funny details.
How does Tim play sims? I feel like he’d also find a way to suitably unhinged, maybe.
I'm really happy I get to say this on main :)
The little story with the Sims was directly ripped from my own childhood, down to the binder of DVDs. I LOVED the Sims as a kid. Loved it. And it was one of the biggest ways I would bond with my siblings. We would all crowd around the Gateway in the dining room and send forever making Sims and houses and fight over who does what. We'd do adorable kid stuff like -
*checks notes* Recreate the Bush family and psychologically torture George HW, George W, Laura Bush, etc in every conceivable way we could think of. We were a political family.
When Jason asks Tim what their relationship is, and when Tim starts teaching Jason the motherlode cheat like my own older sibling taught me - yeah, that can't possibly be clear to anybody but me, but it was my way of saying that they were siblings for sure :)
Anyway Tim pulled out every conceivable cheat code and used the debug room to fuck up the Sims as much as physically possible. He didn't do storylines, he just pushed the envelope to see how many cheat codes he could overload the game with until he broke it. He would make a house of 8 debugged NPCs, make them all marry, make them all have children, and then Pool Ladder all of the men in the house, leaving every baby an orphan. He had a family of aliens who all wore hot dog costumes all day. The only family he fixated upon were the three guys in Sims 2 who get pregnant with alien babies, and he sets them up to lead a "my three dads" style alien baby sitcom. They have affairs with French Maids, and then each other.
Obviously.
I do think he grew bored after that. Tim's ND in the specific way that means he sank hundreds of hours into Civ and SimCity. Tim's a Settlers of Catan guy. Steph liked Zoo Tycoon the best. Sims continues to be Jason's favorite. Damian only plays virtual poker.

My Top 5 Favorite Seasons of Dimension 20
Before I start, these are all great and they could alternate depending on my mood, especially the top three. I'm also watching Unsleeping City for the first time right now (im sorry. i know it's great, i just never got around to watching it because i was rewatching Fantasy High for the 10th time) so that's why it's not on the list.
Also, there is a poll at the end to see what everyone's favorite is out of these 5 choices and whichever wins I'm going to rewatch.
5. Misfits and Magic. My personal favorite of the shorter seasons (6-8 episodes). I loved all the cast members, they were all amazing but it just felt very rushed for me? Like, throw in a fifth episode for me just for the sake of pacing. The Tri-Wizard Tournament thing came out of nowhere and I think the pacing would've worked if they lead with the fact the Magical Misfits had to prove themselves to stay (and they had to do it too). I know the Headmistress was trying to blindsight them but anyone else could've mentioned it. Other than that, this was amazing. I love this and am trying to get my mom to watch it with me because she loves the books that shall not be named
4. Fantasy High Season One. It was really good and I love all of the Bad Kids so much it's not even funny. Bill Seacaster and Jawbone are my favorite NPCs in any TTRPG show ever and I love Fabian, Riz and Fig so much My main thing was the fight scenes. Fight scenes every other episode was a lot for me, someone who hates combat in my actual games of TTRPGS. I'm glad Brennan paced it so fight scenes were only every couple of episodes afterward, it made them feel more heavy and exciting that way.
3. The Seven. This season feels so underrated for some reason? No one ever talks about it, I never see fanart for it like I see the others on this list. All six Heroic Highschoolers did such a great job bringing their characters and teen struggles to life, it made me feel every single emotion at once. Two problems with this season though: One, no one played Zelda which I'm willing to forgive since they were playing it safe with covid regulations. Number two though is how much Sam Nightingale hogged screen time. Don't get me wrong, I love Sephie so much and she really made this season great, but I can't help but feel like she just got more attention that could've gone to other members of the Seven. Maybe it's the fact she got more one on one scenes since she was always talking to Zelda who was played by Brennan? At times it just felt like the Sam show and not an adventure about The Seven. But everyone go rewatch this though. I think I'm the only person who's rewatched it since it came out and I've rewatched it at least six times.
2. A Court of Fey and Flowers. Literally a perfect season. It has my personal favorite cast, amazing characters, and one of the best blends of humor and emotions a season of Dimension 20 could have. My only trouble is that parts of it don't have the rewatchability the other seasons have with all the secrets and rumors. I do still cry at Hob's confession though, even after the fourth time.
1. Fantasy High: Sophomore Year. I think this is one of, if not the best, seasons they have ever done. You get so much world-building for Spyre compared to other campaigns, you already know the characters so you spend more time fleshing them out and meeting new amazing side characters, like Ayda and Kalina, or fleshing out ones we already know, like Sandra-Lynn and Cathilda. I still openly sob every single one of the Bad Kid's troubles and I love them so much. Give me a season of the Bad Kids and The Seven, Brennan!
So, now that we're done, which is the best season out of these? Are there other The Seven lovers out there? IDK, VOTE!

MORE TWST! RuPaul's Drag Race AU -- headcannons
Doesn't it look fancier when I add the exclamation? Gotta work on that tittle still
I want to set the rules for this AU, talking about magic and characters I'd make queens and charas I won't
Magic
Magic exists as in twst, I want to keep it as close as canon possible on this part. The capability to which the contestants can use magic entirely depends on the challenge: To win some challenges you don't need any magic really, beacuse not every queen is required to have magic to be a queen.
However, drag race test the possible talents a queen must have to be a good entertainer, but doesn't mean everyone has to be good at everything. I think it can be more of a skill, like sewing or singing, but having a magic prowess sort of challenge sounds very fun.
"Every queen will try and makeup as many pit crew as they can in thirty seconds" as a mini challenge, obviously you do better with magic etc etc, something like this. In a season with more magic-using queens, this'll be more prevalent maybe.
(The pit crew being mostly beast men sounds so funny to me so I'll make it a thing)
Queens and non-queens
In my first post I mentioned that I didn't think Vil would be a queen because he's a celebrity in canon already, and I'd put socialites in the same category, royalty won't be included because you don't necessarily have to be known(??) I mean, a lot of people know them, but they're not really percieved as such in game, by npcs or other main characters, Malleus is just spooky for example.
Following this spaghetti logic, the following charas I don't see as queens, apart from the teachers because that's a whole other thing:
Vil – celebrity
Neige – celebrity
Kalim – socialite (money)
Idia – socialite (money)
Lilia – he is already very busy being the in-universe Lady Bunny and having three kids
Ace – I don't like him so I know nothing about him on purpose, if someone wants to make him a drag persona, go ahead
Epel – not his vibe, I don't think Epel would like to be a drag queen, he is already quite close-minded (and as much as it pains me, I don't think Epel can be queer canonically but I love him)
Judges
Crowley definetly is the RuPaul of the whole thing, the face, the comedy and the dust. Just adding his personal "I am very kind" here and there, as something he's kown for.
NOW, Divus is definetly Michelle Visage and I won't change my mind nor I will elaborate, it just,,, match made in heaven.
For other judges, we can make up some celebs to be guests in the episodes,, "Famous comedian Juan Mouse is here. Hi Juan" fun. Of course, Vil and Neige would be invited, Kalim too. Idia would accept to be a guest too because his bro is there and he is very loving and proud.
Carson and Ross can be also made up because they judge comedy, fashion and... whatever Ross does, but Mozus can fill the position too if needed, I don't see Vargas or Sam in the panel, but they can be too, one of them at least.
And yeah that's all my mind can produce with a sick brain, I'll continue my brainrot while watching season 5, I don't watch seasons in order www

I've had a mug and a half of this terrible strawberry Franzia that I love so I am going to post with little to none context about the absolutely batshit plot for one of my D&D parties I came up with yesterday, because only god and my 18 followers can judge me
I think one of y'all follows me because I had my own tumbl quoted back to me in a session by accident. but this is dragonslayers spoilers only, not f-team, so whatever. (also hi. also sorry about my tungel in general)
So this particular plot thread requires three unhinged elf women, all of whom are my absolute favorite NPC to play at any given time. the holy trinity of gaslight gatekeep girlboss, the lights of my life
Donna Maria Verdini, the underboss of the Verdini high elf mafia in the city of Cantonova. The Verdini have been the BBEG org for nineteen levels of campaign, literal real-life years, with the first half basically revolving around them keeping a blue dragon in an opera house and running a lot of shady businesses to feed its hoard. Of the whole family, Donna Maria is the ICONIC one. Exactly everything you'd want an elf mafia socialite to be: glamorous, charismatic, big into enchantment magic and also poison and stabbing, does some femme fatale shit on the side because what evil 400-year-old milf wouldn't, and most importantly super-intelligent and has been playing galaxy-brain 5D chess with the party ever since they became a threat. She particularly loves fucking with the bard, who is an operatic soprano equally as fabulous as her, and it's just such a gorgeous rivalry that I love leaning into.
Gepopo, spymaster of the city of Cantonova. She's been an ally of the party for almost longer than Donna Maria has been an enemy. I'm talking like, session 4 or 5. This does not mean she's good; the entire Voice for this character is "wave a glass of whiskey around and be a massive fucking bitch." her alignment is [loud TV static???]. she has a centuries-long criminal background and a body count probably in the hundreds? absolute menace, has been since childhood, can't take her anywhere. but on the other hand, she's deeply loyal and strongly motivated by love. and on some sense she believes in and supports the people doing good in the world-- but she died and went to hell as a kid, and ever since she got brought back she's basically been like "well, sometimes you have to do bad shit in the course of doing good, and I'm already going to hell, so what's one more sin on my plate?" (kinda catholic if you ask me tbh) anyway, the only reason she's a government official is because her adventuring party saved the Count's ass decades ago and he gave her a position so that another country wouldn't force her extradition and execute her again (she's died a lot)
Lona te-Morigana, the newly elected leader of the main wood elf pantheon's religion. We just finished up this whole plot where the party was asked by the PC monk's head abbess to support and guard her during the election, and guess what? They immediately hated her! So so so much! Her general vibe is that of the sentence "I don't really get that reference because I don't own a TV." Absolutely TERRIBLE vibes, but nothing about her that's *obviously guilty*. She had trouble with the politics side, but had an ~inspiring backstory~ as the youngest candidate in a thousand years. She got her eye stabbed out in a schoolyard fight centuries ago, but the people say "she sees more with one eye than most do with two" because she's apparently been going around inspiring all the villages with mystical bullshit. The party did not pick up on any of my subtle clues she was evil, except that she was petty and mean to their sidekick Sen once and just like, generally low-key sucked. Since the other candidate was openly fashy, and they did not listen to the rebel group I also tossed in there, they got her elected. So now she's elf pope basically. What the party has not noticed, not even a little bit, is that she super totally has the eye of Vecna (who in my world was originally a disciple of her god, Morigana). I gave them Vecna lore and they went "lol that's from Stranger Things" and immediately forgot about it.
CONNECTION BETWEEN MARIA/GEPOPO: enemies, deadlocked for 20 years, the entire reason the party knows about Maria is that they came to Gepopo with a rumor/problem and she immediately went "okay so it's obviously this one bitch I can't catch." The party's seen Gepopo outsmarted by the Verdinis before; she had a capo in custody thanks to the party, he taunted her until she murdered him in front of the party, and he then ambushed the party during a big battle because he had a Clone.
CONNECTION BETWEEN MARIA/LONA: they are actually sisters-in-law! (The party has all the information to put this together, or would if they took notes, but has not yet done so.) Maria's son (Lona's nephew) got chosen for a high priesthood right before the election, whole party thought it was extremely sus (it was) but blamed the fashy candidate instead (nope lol). Lona is the gods' little blorbo now, so she has the Hand stored away as well, and she's planning on giving it to Maria.
CONNECTION BETWEEN LONA/GEPOPO: who do you think stabbed out Lona's eye lol (this is less important, but deeply funny. also loops in with Sen, who went to school with both of them, but he's not a girlboss so he doesn't get his own bullet point)
The big question I needed to answer: how does Donna Maria get to the Hand of Vecna, while fucking with her enemies as much and as stylishly as possible?
It's been established that the Verdini are not above the Clone spell. (In fact, they just heard the Verdinis probably have more Clones in their estate, so that's fresh in their mind and they're planning on dealing with that next.) Maria was at the elf vatican for the election, just like the party was. She was there to rig the election for Lona, which she did by several means (all of which the party almost got! and then turned around and said "I bet she's here working with the fashy guy!"), and she was also there to drop off something special afterwards: a Clone of herself, left hand already amputated, to be stored in secret and sacred chambers where only Lona is permitted to go.
Meanwhile, the party is back in Cantonova. Maria has been Scrying on slash tracking the party via a cursed bracelet she gifted the bard, in another absolute 5D chess plot a while back that involved murdering the Count and pinning the blame on the bard. She also recently killed an assassin she thinks the party sent, dropped him headless at their door as a warning... it was a whole thing and she's out for more blood than usual. Whatever she might've been waiting for earlier, no time like the present to get that hand.
But... why kill yourself, when you can have your enemies do it for you?
Again-- she'll know exactly where they plan to go, what with the Scrying. She will wait for them, in a public place that I have a beautiful battle map for. She will wait until they get close, dig around in the bard's thoughts to catch her (and only her) attention, and then use Subtle Spell and attempt to Disintegrate her boyfriend. (This is Sen, the beloved sidekick that Lona was mean to earlier, who Gepopo coincidentally absolutely adores. He also has absolute fuck-all for DEX saves and is in every way the perfect target.)
The party's gonna attack back. There's no way in hell they won't. This is their longtime enemy. She's fucked with them a million times, and she'll do it a million more. I will write a beautiful, loving description of them having a wonderful time with the lil guy they saved from a whole bunch of miserable shit. He's finally happy, they're all finally home, it is a beautiful day and I am a horrible DM. Because at the exact worst time, I will call a WIS save and switch to a description of the bard's thoughts being probed. She will just barely have time to register that something is wrong before Sen crumples in front of her.
They'll see her, easily. She won't hide from them. What she will do is scream that she's only defending herself, that she's being attacked unprovoked. Toss in a Subtle Spelled Mass Suggestion as necessary, particularly at any nearby city guards who come to break up the fight. She'll get her hits in, but she won't fight optimally, won't take a life unless the chance really opens up. She'll Counterspell anything that attempts to end the fight nonviolently. She will die at their hands on a crowded city street. And she will wake up in the temple, ready to painlessly attach the Hand and be on her way.
Meanwhile, the party is fucked. They just murdered a prominent citizen in broad daylight. Gepopo is the head of law enforcement; does she bring charges against her friends for the crime of murdering her worst enemy in public, or does she refuse and get fired or forced to step down, thus risking her life? Does the party go on the run, or stand trial for a crime dozens of people saw? Do they go through with their plan of raiding the estate while the "mourning family" is transporting a fake body to Lona, or do they follow the family and figure out the ruse? Every option is bad, in an absolutely terrific way. I can't wait.

Catching You Up On Me Catching Up On Assassin’s Creed
TLDR: I beat Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and the First Blade DLC and now I’m halfway through Valhalla
So, I recently bought Watch Dogs Legion and I was…kind of enjoying it? But it failed to grab me and make me actually want to progress. It felt tedious and sloggy - like not enough butter over too much toast. I’d do a piece of content and kind of ask myself “why?” Or look at the map and feel overwhelmed. But I did enjoy the base gameplay.
Somehow, that had the same result in me as the new transformers film - mediocrity of one product made me crave a better, similar product.
I was honestly 50/50 on whether to install AC odyssey or Valhalla but went for odyssey purely because I already own the DLC.
I’ve kind of had two past attempts at playing Odyssey - I got maybe 10 hours in on PS4 before losing access to my PS4, and then I had played maybe an hour on Series X to test out the 60 fps patch.
I picked up where I left off this time, with the tutorial completed, which really helped get me back into it since I had already seen well past it. I’m not sure what was different this time, but I really caught fire with it and got totally addicted.
I had beaten Origins a few years ago and loved AC1-4 as a kid/teen, so it makes sense, but I had really considered my Assassin days behind me until now.
I even started listening to History of Greece (2nd edition) on audiobook, which I’m almost done with. I felt like I didn’t know enough about the real history to get the many references in the game.
I think this kind of game really lives or dies by the synergy of its many disparate parts. WC Legion felt like the pieces were fine individually but didn’t fit together right for me, but Odyssey felt like it had a good mix of plot, gameplay, and progression.
I have two main complaints about Odyssey - there’s too much of it, and it’s too similar. There’s almost exactly one grassy biome that the entire game is set in. It makes it a little less exciting to explore a new island for it to look exactly the same as every other island. I realize real life Greece isn’t ten different biomes but I started to get sick of the same grassy hill the 1000th time.
I feel like the existence of the story creator feature kind of highlights how same-y a lot of the side quests feel, especially the nonsensical radiant-style timed quests where an NPC just asks you to kill some random enemy. There are simply too many quests in this game, to the point where it buried the few side quests that are actually interesting.
But I did enjoy the main plot, the combat, the archery, the skill tree, the loot (for a while…), even the light stealth.
I did not like the Legacy of the First Blade DLC. I didn’t think the forced hetero would bother me so much but yikes, it comes out of absolutely nowhere and it is so frustrating to be unable to stop it. I think it would’ve felt cringe and forced even if they had let you choose the gender of your partner. Also wasn’t a huge fan of how the DLC boiled down to killing MORE cultists in areas you’ve already been in. But at least it was short enough.
I lost my patience with the Atlantis DLC. First off, it took a long time to kill all 50 cultists and then also do the sizable post-game DLC, which I did actually enjoy. So by the time I got to the Atlantis DLC, I was exhausted with some of the gameplay systems like having to swap out or upgrade my 8 equipment slots every few times I leveled up.
Add on to that the fact that the DLC wasn’t…real…or at least was on a sub-layer of really happening…and my willpower was sapped. I really enjoyed getting to see a new biome and new enemies, new loot, honestly really impressed by how nice it all was, but I wasn’t up for completing dozens and dozens of quests and fully exploring three whole new areas in this game. I think this would be a good fit in lieu of a replay if I ever miss this game and want to play more.
Also part of my impatience was a growing plan I had hatched - to play every single Assassin’s Creed. Now, I’m counting Origins as being too recent to replay, but other than that, my plan is to do Valhalla after Odyssey then back to AC1 all the way to Syndicate in release order. This especially works since Valhalla is set in the 900s, making it the ideal game to lead up to AC1 being in the 1100s, and having played maybe half of Valhalla, it clearly has some connective tissue.
To quickly recap - as a kid, I played and beat:
1
2
Brotherhood
Revelations
4
And then I played but only the first hour or hours of:
3
Unity
Syndicate
Which really only leaves Rogue as the closest thing to a mainline AC that I’ve never touched.
It’s a big ask…it’s a lot of games…I did have to purchase Unity on PC and then I plan to play 1 and Rogue on my PS3, and I already own the rest. I’m not confident I’ll actually get through it all, and now that I look closer, maybe a playthrough of just 3-Rogue-Unity-Syndicate is more realistic, but I’ll just see what happens.
Regardless of how many I end up actually playing, it is already the case that I am 27 hours into Valhalla. And I have…mixed feelings about it. I really like the combat, the visuals, and sometimes I like the plot for a few minutes at a time, but I am not a fan of the progression and certain aspects of the plot.
I am having trouble rooting for the main characters which isn’t always necessary and some media clearly has anti-heroes or bad guy protagonists, but in this case it’s more of a case of…I don’t know…tonal dissonance? I feel like I’m suppose to root for the Vikings just because I’m playing as one but I’m mostly rooting against them. I struggle to see why the Hidden Ones are aligned with us.
I do really enjoy some of the individual arcs though. Oswald the King’s arc is really enjoyable. The murder mystery in Lunden is super fun. I’m enjoying the stuff with Falke and Basim and Sigurd. And I really enjoyed the arc just now with Ceolbert and Ivarr, even if I predicted the “twist” as soon as physically possible.
My biggest issue is the overall gameplay loop. I enjoy using my axe and bow and skills to take down hordes of enemies, but I cannot for the life of me get excited about treasure chests. They exclusively contain inferior gear or abstract upgrade materials at a glacial rate. I’ve got exclusively golden gear equipped in 7 out of 8 slots despite finding 0 materials that upgrade gear from silver to gold quality. The weapons are from the limited amount of paid DLC you can get for free, while the armor was a full set from a side quest.
Speaking of side quests, this game has the oddest quest setup. There’s LOTS of required story quests, most of them as part of self contained story arcs that have some small impact on the larger story. There’s only a handful of proper side quests with most being “mysteries” that are resolved on-site. I just find this system unappealing. It feels like the game wants me to spend hours and hours combing the open world for these little dots that grant me only a sliver of minuscule progress. So I just opt to skip almost everything optional, it just doesn’t entice me. At least in Odyssey, I could get excited about purple or orange loot even at a high level. And I enjoyed the skill tree more. Here, the skill tree is too bloated and full of “upgrades” that should be basic abilities like auto loot, the ability to do finishers, etc plus of course the hundreds of minuscule stat boosts that are so random and arbitrary that I don’t even look at them.
I definitely plan on finishing this game, but the amount of story arcs remaining (around ten) is honestly kind of daunting with how much time I’ve already dumped into this game and how thin the progression has already worn.
also, what’s up with the boat in this game? I’m happy to be free of tedious naval combat, but then why bother? I like the idea of having a customizable crew but then I can only really equip pre-customized characters designed by other players? And I can only summon my crew in specific pre-ordained locations? In general, the mass warfare in this game is a bit off because it feels like you’re free to just run past enemies to the objective every time.
I do feel like Valhalla has the best overall cast of any of the AC games I’ve played. There’s genuinely a lot of characters in this game that mostly feel like they are on their own arcs independent of just your actions. AC Mirage starring Basim kind of proves this point. This game almost has a Red Dead Redemption feel in some ways.
Also I generally dislike how often this game asks me to find some hidden object via echolocation. I have never once enjoyed having to encircle a building to find an entry point or wander around a town to find the entrance to the underground. It just slows the game down and is so repetitive and annoying.
I’m looking forward to the contrast when I play AC1 and it’s incredibly straightforward and simple by comparison.
I will not be doing the DLC for Valhalla. It’s far too expensive and this game is already somehow bigger than Odyssey I feel, although it feels much less like it was built out of the same few building blocks.
I did do the crossover dlc with odyssey in this game and I generally enjoyed it even if it was a little trite.
Perhaps going forward I will provide more detailed blow by blow recountings of my time spent in this game.

Tumblr media
@aureateart ok. My favourite parts of twilight princess  (and some other random thoughts about TP sprinkled in there) taken from my monster TP word vomit google doc :
Link lmao
Ok but for real, I like this incarnation of Link :)
I love Ordon (it just seems like such a chill and cozy village)
ALSO love how easy it is to interpret Link as being a sort of older brother figure to the Ordon kiddos. It’s just,, super cute? AND GHHH nice nice good thanks nintendo for giving me characters to care about/characters that I can imagine Link caring about
He didn’t sign up for any of this (tbh, none of the Links really signed up for this jshdjsd). But I mean like, dude was just going to take a trip to castle town, drop a gift off for the royal family, and come back. But haHA oopsies he did get to castle town eventually but definitely not the way he expected hsjdhsd
He’s just a little dude?
AND FUCK. HE REALLY HAD NEVER BEEN OUTSIDE OF ORDON UNTIL ALL OF THAT
everything is new for the player AND Link
Midna
She’s cool :)
she really just
*teleports into your jail cell* hello whore.
I am no master at writing but AYYYY she do got a character arc!!!
She was actually pretty helpful sometimes, I ALWAYS checked in with her before turning to a game guide
Other NPCs
NICE
Love all of the TP character designs (ASHEI’S ARMOUR??? AOWOAOAOOAO)
Saving Zelda and all of Hyrule was important yea but thinking back maybe it was more like, the Ordonians and the kids were what was pushing Link to keep on going
I like the Resistance members :) Very video gamey of them to have one NPC assigned to each dungeon but hey!!! Kinda cool getting to see a little glimpse of each of em
Idk, it’s just fun to imagine Link popping into Telma’s bar after each dungeon and taking a little rest :) (or to celebrate? maybe just chat, idk, give this man some downtime!!)
Honestly it was just kind of nice that Link wasn’t entirely alone. I mean, I know Midna was there the whole time, but I am always for giving Link a big group of friends (see my love for hyrule warriors, age of calamity, and LU LMAO)
Hero’s shade, very very cool, kinda sad he died with regrets but HEY. He got to pass on his knowledge eventually
AND the connection to OoT?? AND assumed to be related by blood too????? GOOD SHIT
Ilia, I REALLY really wanted to like her (er, it’s not like I dislike her, she’s just,,, kinda there for me).
It definitely seems like Nintendo was pushing to make her the romantic interest, but GHHHHH they really threw that out of the window for me by having her lose her memories
I saw a text post a while ago that said it would have been interesting if Ilia was Link’s sister instead and YES!! That would have been cool too :0
Wish we got to know Zelda a little more
I feel like we barely know anything about her
Idk man, like I said earlier, I never really had any sort of drive to save Zelda during my playthroughs
She obviously knows Midna, so maybe if they gave us just a little bit more of that relationship I’d be more interested in her?
TP WORLD BUILDINGGGG
Botw has good world building too, but each race felt kinda,,, isolated? I absolutely love the different architecture and vibe each town has (and all the the weapons too) but ghhh yea everyone felt so separated. As far as I can remember, we don’t see tooo much of the races interacting with each other? Now that I’m typing that out maybe that’s to be expected because of the calamity but KLSJDKJFD ANYWAYS THIS IS ABOUT TP
The world feels nice and alive, love how populated everything is
Castle town I like castle town a lot, it feels dense and busy and I really like how you can’t talk to every NPC you see
Very cool very fun that we got to see the Gorons hanging out in multiple spots
kinda wish we got to see the Zoras a little more (I guess they are a bit limited since they need water but GHHHH the tp zoras are so prebby,,)
BUT HEY, I do remember seeing a zora or two hanging out in the hot springs around death mountain after beating the lakebed temple (I think, might have been a different dungeon)
but aaaa would have been nice to see them in at least a couple of other places. I think it would have really added to the “congrats Link!! You’re restoring peace to Hyrule” feeling you get from seeing the Gorons hanging out in Kakariko and Castle Town
ORDON
Love how chill it is and how it’s kind of separate from Hyrule proper
They really do seem to be doing their own thing apart from the rest of Hyrule
Just kinda adds onto the “he’s just a regular dude minding his own business” kind of vibes I get from TP Link
Also I like Ordona :)
THE LIGHT SPIRITS,,
Love their design
And love how they’re not exactly like a pure white?
Different spirit representing each aspect of the triforce my beloved
But yes hi I think Ordona is very cool
Who are you, how did you get here, which goddess do you represent? Do you even represent one of the three golden goddesses? Do the Ordonians know about you? Have any of them ever SEEN you??? Do they worship you? Does anybody even know about the existence of the light spirits?? FUCK so many questions but ghhh I like how they broke the status quo a bit by throwing in a fourth spirit :)
I feel like this one is kinda weird but I like that voice sample they used in the light spirit music. It’s spooky and pretty at the same time :)
cutscenes mmmmm
Ok ok, the spooky lanayru cutscene is very good
BUT THE “Link, Chosen Hero! Lend us the last of your power!” CUTSCENE MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM LOVE IT SO MUCH
IT just
Idk man
It just hit different
I like the music
And seeing the light spirits swimming around in the light juice water whatever it is
Summoning the light arrows?
AND HHHHH “Lend us the last of your power!” THIS IS IT. This is the final battle.
Seeing Zelda bow down, and then Link putting his hand out 👌👌👌
Link: ok bud, let’s do this together :)
Connection to OoT (did I already mention this? Maybe., Whatever)
Very cool nintendo :)
I love seeing connections between all the diff zelda games.
Because like, on one hand, they’re all separate from each other because of yknow, individual hero stuff. BUT ALSO, they’re all connected because of the reincarnation stuff
Grrrr walking through the sacred grove and going “The Hero of Time walked around here a long time ago” FUCK THATS SO COOL
Is the Hero’s Shade watching me? What does he think of me? DIsappointed? Proud? The Hero of Time went through HELL so this timeline didn’t have to deal with any of the shit Ganon was gonna pull with the triforce, better not fuck this UP Link!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Midlink is cute
Kinda hurts that she smashed the mirror but that was probably so Nintendo didn’t have to worry about people going “but what about the twili??????” for any of the other games LMAO
BUT ALSO LIKE SKJDKLJFJ There are some pretty massive plot holes in TP anyway so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ whatever it’s fine we’ll just use this for angst because GOD do y’all like angst
So is Shadlink
Honestly don’t know where this ship came from but it’s cute so whatever
THE MUSIC??
Love Midna’s theme and how they referenced the dark world theme from ALttP (I remember trying to learn the dark world theme on the piano and doing the Leonardo DiCaprio point meme at the little jingle I recognized from Midna’s theme)
Hyrule field theme SLAPS.
Apparently references a couple of the other over-world themes from the previous zelda games (I got this from 8-bit Music theory’s video on the over-world zelda themes, he talks about TP at around 11:40 but def recommend watching the whole video if you’re into music analysis stuff)
So there’s this bit of the Hyrule Field theme, I don’t know the official name for it but I remember seeing somewhere it being called the “at an advantage theme” since yeah, you hear it during the boss music whenever you expose their weak points. FUCKINGGG LOVE THAT. Didn’t notice it during my first playthrough, but hearing it during my second was like a little easter egg for my ears every time :)
Midna’s lament is very pretty (and fun to play on the piano)
COURAGE THEME.
I didn’t care for it too much when I started playing the game but hearing it in ZREO’s arrangement of the Hyrule Field theme literally makes me turn into a puddle of emotions. Also hearing it around and of the Ordon kids (I think it plays after Link saves Colin) AAAAAAAAAAAAA
Orchestra piece #1 and #2 HOLY SHIT????????????????
Literally, the first time I listened to those I just,,,, plugged in my headphones, volume 100, layed on the floor/against my desk and silently vibed. I don’t know what the hell it is, but those two just fit so well with TP?? I still avoid listening to them nowadays cause if I DO I definitely will get overwhelmed with the “god I love this game so FUCKING MUCH” kind of feels.
Wolf link sucks at singing
the first time I heard him howling Zelda’s Lullaby I lost my shit because LKSJLDKSGLKJFSKG god that was.,, Bad. Anyways, hearing him howl some of the songs from OoT was cute :)
TP STAFF ROLL???
VERY GOOD. IT’s like 10 minutes long and GOD do I love every single second of it. It doesn’t have the same energy as the skyward sword staff roll or the orchestra pieces but GOD does it hit good??
Nice and calm after that big exciting adventure. Maybe it would have been more fun or emotional to have a higher energy piece but it was really nice getting to sit back and watch the camera fly around Hyrule. Seeing like, the Gorons and the Zoras having a good time, the kids returning to Ordon? GOOD SHIT.
and AAAAA that end, when you hear the main Zelda theme and see Link riding off out of Faron woods on Epona… good shit. It gets you thinking, where the hell is he going? What is he doing? Off ot do more adventuring? Going to help out the resistance or something? Going to help Zelda? Or maybe he’s trying to figure out a way to restore the mirror of twilight? Whoooo knows.
hhHHHHhhh it’s just that final reminder that YES!!! YOU JUST PLAYED A ZELDA GAME. JUST ANOTHER STORY APART OF THE WHOLE EPIC OF THE ZELDA SERIES AS A WHOLE
I also want to acknowledge the instrument/samples they used for all the twili stuff.
They’re all just so unique and contrast SO well with the rest of the TP OST. LIKE FUCK!! Anytime I hear the screech from the Twilit Kargarok? Sends a shiver down my spine. I associate those sounds SO strongly with the twili realm. (Like, the same way you associate the BSHEWW VVWWMMM sounds with light sabers)
I love it so god damn much
literally any time there’s a certain sound or motif associated with something I lose my shit
Sacred grove sacred grove sacred gro-
lovely lovely lovely so much fun playing that on the piano. AND again, I did the Leonardo DiCaprio pointing meme when I heard the theme from the lost woods come in GHHHHHHHH
shoutout to TP Faron Woods for helping me study and get through all of my schoolwork
BLEGUUHHH can you tell that I really love music?
and also yea I guess TP is kinda cool too :\
IF YOU READ ALL OF THAT THANKS I GUESS

SPOILERS AND ASSUMPTIONS FOR CAMPAIGN 1!
OKAY, let me start by categorising what spoilers I know as best I can, going (mostly) in chronological order AFAIK:
Clarota betrays them (VERY sad, when I first watched those first 10-ish episodes I was fully behind Keyleth’s ‘trust him’ train)
Vax loses a foot to lava and also his snake belt rip
Kima and Allura are the cool, trustworthy PCs, as is everyone’s favourite, Gilmore, a shopkeep with a black belt in karate
The dragonborn guy’s homeland gets dunked on and then later he dies offscreen
Percy’s sister is alive and betrays them but only kind of? I think? She was held captive by the Briarwoods for years and Percy thought she was dead, but she was blackmailed/brainwashed/tortured?
Vax gets cornered by the Briarwoods alone by accident (classic)
There’s a chick called Ripley who makes guns A Thing for the wider world
Something about a sun tree? It’s a creepy tree? They hallucinate their own corpses on it? Or something?
They probably kill one of the hottie vampires at the end of Percy’s arc, I think the male one? Because the lady vampire shows up later?
Percy dies in his arc and it’s the second res ritual they do, after Pike’s one pre-stream
“Take off the mask, darling.” I still don’t care about romance but I feel obligated to mention that I know that famous line
I also know the equally famous “I thought he’d never leave” bubble bath bit, ah Laura
There’s a CHROMA CONCLAVE attack right at the end of Percy’s arc, somewhere
Rashian is a dragon or something, everyone laughs at Liam for not knowing this. I know nothing else about who the Chroma conclave is (3-5 chromatic dragons??? One of each colour????) or what they want, except Vax levels up in the middle of fighting one and Keyleth yells at one
There are communication earrings. There is also a weird black powder man. Victor?
They actually have a permanent home/keep unlike the Mighty Nein?
Vex dies because Percy didn’t check for traps, this is the start of some deal of Vax’s with the Raven Queen which means he multiclasses into paladin?
Vax can fly, he can fly, he can fly!
Uhhhh there’s a couple cursed swords or something in there lol
Percy sells his soul briefly? Genius move Smart Guy lmao
Feywild??? Somehow????? They meet Artagan and make a deal with him for a doorway, and they spend an episode as cows somewhere in here?
Keyleth has Mom Trauma, I don’t know how much this will feature in the campaign
Vax and Vex’s dad suxxx or something, mother is dead
Scanlan hits on his surprise daughter and everyone screams
They have some kind of year long adventuring group break for some reason?
Keyleth makes a storm on an airship (???) and this is cool. Also she turns into a fire elemental a lot and this is also cool.
There’s a kraken fight? It goes really badly, like LEGENDARILY badly, and ngl I’m kind of looking forward to it
Scanlan #LOSESIT and has his legendary ‘what’s my mother’s name?’ rant, after which he leaves for an undetermined number of episodes and is replaced by Tary
This leads to Grog spelling C-A-T for some reason and this???? Makes people cry???????? Truly something you had to be there for
Pike tries to commission drawings of VM for Tary (who calls Vex “little elf girl” and braces for impact when Laura’s nostrils flare) and this goes Very Wrong in a funny way
Tary’s dad sucks
He writes a book
Some NPC reads said book in campaign 2, hence why I know about it
Grog has an arc to do with the other Goliaths who beat him up for defending Pike’s dad?
When Scanlan comes back he tries to sneak in, Vex chases him and he panics and casts modify memory on Vex, it fails several times, an angsty moment becomes comedic very fast
He is received with Mixed Emotions lmao
Keyleth turns into a goldfish and kills herself, this is both apparently extremely painful and extremely funny
Vax gets disintegrated and dies in a beholder fight (rip)
Gilmore is not a dragon but everyone was fully convinced he was. He also gets bodysnatched or something at some point to freak out VM, but they figure out very quickly it’s not him
Scanlan is Ioun’s chosen? Whatever that means, something to help fight Vecna I think
“It was an honour knowing you” sad! Sad! Sad line! Gilmore doesn’t understand, cheekily responds, and leaves!!!! Liam looks on the verge of tears!!!!!! SAD!!!!!
There are so many true love nat 20s. I don’t know what any of them are except that Pike has one and Ashley looks like she’s about to cry
They win the Vecna fight and Keyleth gets the HDYWDT, Scanlan wanted to save a Wish spell for Vax but couldn’t, so he stays dead
Everyone cries here but at least the rest of the party is okay
Keyleth is the last woman standing and everyone cries at this too
And then Grog uses the deck of many things, spawning two oneshots to clean up his mess
Also somewhere in here Vex steals a broom from a guest (lol)
Assumptions!!!!!
More tears than campaign 2 I think, since there are at least two resurrection rituals we see on screen that I know of
The fights might be more stressful since they’re higher level?
Scanlan is going to be the most sexual and lewd character because he is played by Sam
Vex is going to be the second most sexual and lewd character because she is played by Laura
Vax will still instigate most of the one-on-ones so Liam can have as many heavy conversations as his theatre kid’s heart desires
Keyleth will try and fail to make the group more moral
Pike will not try to be moral at all despite being four feet of blessed armour and adorable hair
I think other characters try to make Percy feel remorse for Murder Reasons, but I suspect he’s not going to feel that guilty (I will likely support him in murderous endeavours unless they are FAR more messed up than I currently believe)
From what I understand Grog is Loveable but not hugely layered or complex, and I know Travis was proud he didn’t cry this campaign. I suspect I may be surprised at the character depth Travis gives him, however.
Keyleth also thinks the gods are overrated and I AGREE
Percy is three feral and eldritch raccoons in a trench coat, held together only by sheer force of will and the fragile shell of a posh accent. No one notices because it’s a really cool accent.
There will be a lot more money/shopping/drinking elements than in campaign 2, since I know Vex is a haggler, Percy is a Lord, and Keyleth is a day-drinker? As are Grog and Scanlan
It will be funny for me to see Taliesin play a smart character and Travis a dumb one, though I know that the whiplash went the other way for most people lmao
Vox Machina will be less team-heavy than the Mighty Nein? I gather they’re more of an ‘individual hero’ makeup than an ‘everyone has support abilities’ makeup
It will be more fast-paced than campaign 2? It seems like a lot of the arcs lead directly into each other, with only the occasional shopping episode break
It feels like it might be less friendship heavy than the Mighty Nein? Like they seem more like ‘we’d die for each other’ pals who otherwise spend all their time trying to draw dicks on each other’s faces
They have a more clear “party leader” than the Mighty Nein, who might be Percy and/or Keyleth
I think most PCs and NPCs are more morally clear cut than in campaign 2, like most towns and people in positions of power are either “cool guy who can pitch in” or “get rid of this abomination immediately” territory
I think my favourite character will be Vex, Percy or Keyleth. I just feel it in my bones.
I think I may also get an extreme soft spot for Grog and Pike, however
My main sources of surprise will be, I think, how things fit together? Like I have no idea WHY they’re in the Feywild, or most other places really, or what any villains’ motivations and backstories and personality traits are, and how they end up fighting any of them in any particular place for any particular reason. I don’t even really know characters’ abilities or literally anything done in any of the fights, aside from “they win/nearly die” and “Scanlan uses Wish and Bigby’s Hand against Vecna”
I assume most plot threads all lead into each other fairly solidly and that they don’t actually seek most of their stuff out?
This assumption will either be fairly right or hilariously wrong, but -- I assume that I already know almost everything important or shocking? I tried really hard to avoid it but being active in campaign 2 meant that over time I got exposed to more and more of campaign 1, and I genuinely believe that I have almost everything down, if not details or order. I don’t think I’ve missed any big moment or impactful arc
Let’s see if I’m right

Located my Pokemon Ranger game cartridge, dusted it off, and promptly plowed through the whole thing in one day. Now, why can’t I summon that kind of focus on command for things that are actually useful?
Anyway, I wanted to replay that thing to laugh at the Go-Rock Quads doing dumb shit like setting an important security password as “60” and filling their own currently actively in-use factory full of literal living bombs as an intended safety precaution, but holy shit I forgot there was so much Actual Plot in this fucking thing. I got sucker punched with like, Feelings and Emotions and shit right at the very end. Those last two main-game missions, man. What the fuck. I am SAD.
Spoiler alert but holy shit the Quads are actually Babie™️. I mean yeah, they’re idiot chaos demons who keep making things explode and it’s awesome so obviously I already knew that, but. They aren’t just doing ridiculously overblown ultraviolent bullshit because they’re obnoxious fucking dumbasses...it’s out of desperation.
Their dad's the Actual Malicious Asshole who's just on some assmad vengeance quest to Destroy exactly One (1) old rival of his and fuck up the whole world as collateral, and the Quads are just blindly doing whatever he says because, uh. Billy said something to the effect of Daddy Dearest will not love them anymore if they don't. They gotta be Useful To Their Father and thus Succeed at Doing Violence Real Good or they’ll get straight-up disowned. Bruh? What the fuck??
Like, they’re not even aware of the point to all of the Violence being done. Clyde says so. They are totally in the dark about Gordor’s actual Big Evil Master Plan. They have no fucking clue WHY their dad wants done what he wants done, they just know that they gotta Help Him Do It. Because they’ve been made to believe they are not worthy of his love if they are not useful enough to him. Dude. What the FUCK.
And Garret, the famously Stoic and Calm one, straight-up has a fucking breakdown when you defeat him for the second [and final] time. He started fucking stuttering and wheezing and shit. Because Daddy Won't Love Him Anymore Because He Keeps Getting His Ass Beat. Like, explicitly. My guy had an Actual Literal Panic Attack because his dad was “already losing faith in him” after he failed to protect the factory [...from you, the player], and now he’s gone and failed AGAIN so the thin ice he was standing on just shattered and he freaked. He lied and tried to play off the shaking like he was just Really Fucking Angry, but he was actually scared. The little 💦 effects above his sprite give it away, they weren’t the Pissed Off Steam Cloud effects. The 💦 show up to indicate a character is either sweating profusely or crying. Holy shit I am so sad.
And the whole point of Billy blowing up their own base after losing to the player was that he felt they had nothing left to lose after failing that final time. Potentially killing the ranger that wrecked their lives was just a nice satisfying bonus. He destroyed their whole hideout in fucking despair, and the Quads all ran off to start a whole new life somewhere else so they didn’t have to face their father because they didn’t want to hear him disown them. They were 100% certain that was what was coming and they just couldn’t bear to actually endure it. What the fuck...
Oh. Also. At the very end, right before the Final Boss Fight with Gordor, there's a Go-Rock Grunt you HAVE to beat before facing him, so you have to listen to what he says. [Actually, there are three grunts there, but the one on the mid-right is the only one that matters here.] This specific grunt complains about the fact that he ought to be a higher rank in the team because of his consistently excellent performance, but claims the reason that hasn't happened is...the boss favors his own kids too much. That grunt laments how it's impossible to truly rise to any significant and respected rank in the team if you're not one of the Quads. And this is RIGHT after Billy lost his shit and blew up the base. You hear that grunt say that shit RIGHT after THAT happens. The rest of the Go-Rock Squad thinks Gordor absolutely adores and even spoils his kids, and yet his kids don't feel like he loves them at all...it is highly evident that they are CONSTANTLY fighting for Any Scraps Of Affection from him by just continuously trying to outdo themselves via Extreme Obedience Overkill. These kids are not cherished, they are just the most Desperately Doggedly Obedient and thus useful.
Also! Also! The Quads are fucking attention whores. Like, that's the root of their whole entire Thing. "Hey! Hey!! Stop!! Look at us!! Remember our names!!" etc.; they're a loudass rock band for one, and they like to blow shit up which is also Loud, and they do obnoxious shit like band practice in the parking lot of the Dusk Factory at 2AM which bugs the Fall City locals when they're trying to sleep [according to one instance of an NPC bitching]. These guys Demand All Of The Attention. Positive OR negative. They’re just craving the acknowledgement. And that is...exactly how chronically emotionally neglected children would behave.
I am SO FUCKING SAD.
#AGONY. PAIN EVEN.#The Quads have always been my favourite Ranger characters by FAR...My heart. It hurts.#Pokemon#Pokemon Ranger#Go Rock Quads#I am...disturbed; actually; by the fact that I did not remember so much of the endgame. Because the Quads ARE my favourites.#I was never able to complete this game when I was little; I couldn't get past the stupid flashing floor tile puzzles in the Go Rock base#You know. Those puzzles that you can't even SEE a huge chunk of because they don't fit entirely on the screen.#So you can't get your rhythm and timing down and if you mess up even slightly even once you get chucked back to the beginning.#THOSE floor tile puzzles. They frustrated me to tears when I was young and the stupid background music in that area STILL makes me shake.#Anyway that's important because when I was older I finally looked up a guide on YouTube for that part so I could FINALLY --#-- experience the last part of the game I'd never seen before. I remember doing that! I remember following that video and beating the puzzle#...But everything after that? Black void in my memory. That doesn't make sense. I was so hyped to Unlock The Rest Of The Content --#-- pertaining to my Big Favourite characters. I would have been overjoyed to finally see it. I should have remembered every detail of it.#But I didn't. I still don't. I have no memory of that first time. Aside from a very; very vague little bit of a memory of the final --#-- boss fight[s] against Gordor and the dogs. THAT's faint but it's there. And yet somehow I forgot my favourite characters entirely?#There was even persisting visual evidence that I DID indeed beat the game. Before I started a new file I could see my old one was Rank 10.#In hindsight I know I've lost time like this in various instances throughout my life. I black out sometimes.#It's distressing to realize yet another time it has clearly happened. Especially now that I think I've finally realized what causes it.#But I don't have medical care so I can't get an evaluation + diagnosis. Which is bad because it's kind of uh. Severe and Overwhelming.

☢️Fallout 4 Companions Ranked☢️
-1. Nick Valentine
Obviously. Even though there isn’t nearly enough content of him in game. We still get a decent amount as him playing a main part in the story, his companion mission AND DLC content?? The fact that he has enough scenes to make him a really in depth character that I can’t help but be gravitated towards.
-2. Hancock
Not a lot of content for him sadly. There wasn’t even a mission for him. Just maxing his affinity. Unless you count getting his companion ship as a mission.. that doesn’t really involve him till the end. Still, his humor, wits and the fact that he stabbed a guy for me won me over 200%.
-3. Curie
She’s kind hearted, curious and super cute! Really unique given all our other characters were toughened by the conditions outside the vault. Her interactions always make me smile, bot or synth.
-4. Paladin Danse
This walking train is perfect for tougher missions.. sometimes. I like and dislike how stiff his personality is. One half is really cute and funny and the other half it’s like.. u a douche. It really sucks that he didn’t get humbled from BB. He can’t talk to my Nick and Hancock like that. 😡
-5. Dogmeat
Sorry I put you much lower than I wanted to but I have my reasons. I can’t STAND it when he gets hurt. Hearing him cry is so sad to me. I like it when he’s at the Red Stop safe behind 800 turrets.
-6. Preston
Another settlement needs your help. Jk, he’s a cool dude. I didn’t hang out with him as much as I planned to. I gotta replay and get his max affinity. But I still like him a lot just from his story. A little crazy on the lawful good but his story perfectly justifies it.
-7. Maccready
This bro was not prepared to become a Mungo.. probably accidentally had a kid and had to be a gun for hire for some reason?? I don’t remember. He doesn’t even leave the Commonwealth to deliver the medicine. Does.. his kid live in Little Lamplight..?! Did he just decide “yup. Kids gonna love it here” Anyways, he’s alright, funny and decent dialogue.
-8. Deacon
I am in the middle with this sir. I have no idea what his actual story is. I hate when he makes passive aggressive comments about killing hostiles like I’m a crazy murderer. Just trying not to die buddy. Also- quit changin your damn clothes.. sometimes I think an NPC is randomly approaching me. Railroad quests were meh. ((But I’ll do faction ratings in another post))
-9. Cait, Codsworth and Piper
I couldn’t even decide how to rank these three. Their dialogue and personalities get slightly annoying. I really did try with them but it was just so meh. However, each of them have memorable dialogue and storylines.
-10. Strong
Amusing at first, then got really really annoying. Bro- you hated that I made food.. picked locks.. and hack terminals.. I thought you were trying to learn about humans you dummy.
-11. X6-88
(Aside my extreme disliking for the Institute,) he was just soo awkward to be partnered with. Behaving like an institute synth, devoid of free will. I struggled enjoying the time I had as his partner. Sorry you worship my weird and dying dictator son. Get well soon.

Around 2.6k words, SFW, SLOW BURN romance friends to lovers, gender neutral reader, anyone can enjoy it and place themselves as the reader! - Admin Myah
Tumblr media
Shujin Academy could be silent as the grave in the earliest hours of the morning, and yet seem so deafening. It was almost guaranteed that at least thirty new rumors were spreading throughout the student body at any given time, and the overwhelmingly hostile environment that created made the air heavy. With all the teenage angst, hormones, hatred, circles of venomous malice, it was no wonder so many loners could be spotted on academy grounds. That’s just how it was at Shujin: you either had a clique, or you had no one. It was no surprise, then, that you simply kept your head down, minded your business, and got to know no one. Miraculously, though, gossip abound about you still, at least two or three preposterous examples of hearsay and stories. But hey, what could you do? That was in all actuality, pretty low for a single Shujin student. God help the students who actually did make their opinions known, express themselves through clothing and cosmetics, and dared to swim against the current.
You shuffled through the first floor, the absolute blandness of that April morning perpetuating your usual routine: arrive at Shujin, check your locker, scribble down any notes and ideas that came to you in your dreams last night to put into your next short story, and of course check for new posts in the group chat, where your only friends resided. You wouldn’t be caught dead associating with anyone here at the school, it would simply be mental and social suicide, and quite frankly, you didn’t have the constitution for that.
Peeking up for a split second to avoid any collisions, you quickly slid to the left and ducked into a nearby alcove, successfully escaping the gaze of the oncoming wall of muscle and testosterone that was Coach Kamoshida, the plague of Shujin Academy. It was the best case scenario that Kamoshida remained ignorant to one’s very existence, for even those on his good side suffered the consequences. He strode by, shoulders wide and chest puffed out, scanning the halls for girls to harass or boys to intimidate, and once the coast was clear and he was a safe distance away, his back facing you, you dipped back out of the rather dusty corridor and back into the light, immediately slipping back into an almost mechanical daily ritual. It took mere seconds: phone screen unlocked, group chat opened, notebook slipped snuggly back under armpit.
“C’mon, man!” An obnoxiously loud voice rang out above the typical tinnitus-like buzz of the hallway, and suddenly your shoulder was thrust forward, body flying to the ground with a forceful shove on the shoulder.
“Aaagh!” Your voice cracked as your knees buckled and you collided roughly with the wooden panels below, your smartphone soaring out of your grip and clinking against the floor. Thank goodness your notebook was safe, at the very least. People gasped and turned to look at the spectacle, including Kamoshida himself, who’d just reached the end of the hall.
“Sakamoto! I see you running in the halls again, I’ll write you up!” He just always had to say something, let the general student body know he was in charge. He cared far more about sounding rough and tough than making sure the student who was just steam-rolled was uninjured. He pointed directly at you and the student that had just dashed by, effectively pummeling you to the ground with a shoulder check. You looked up and just ahead of you, Ryuji Sakamoto was pivoting on one foot, ignoring Kamoshida’s threat entirely to catch his breath and look down at his victim, splayed across the floor.
Ryuji Sakamoto, now that was one of those students mentioned earlier, the kind that dyed his hair, customized his uniform, and didn’t take shit from anyone. He was a pariah, pretty much the opposite of the teacher’s pet… teacher’s pest more like. Sakamoto was the subject of many falsehoods and conjectures, and he was sure to be trouble for anyone associated…
You looked him up and down, halting your unflattering and socially-altered thoughts in their tracks. Didn’t wanna become the very thing you hated. There was no reason to judge Ryuji without first-hand proof.
“Woah! My bad, sorry dude!” He held up one hand submissively, but unfortunately, just as with Kamoshida,  it seemed that you were not his main concern either. Huffing and puffing from the sprint, he looked past you to another male student who was hot on his trail, but this one looked… different.
You’d gone to Shujin Academy for all of your high-school career. It was your third and final year before graduation, and you knew of Sakamoto well enough, but this kid was a mystery… was he new here? He must’ve been. You knew at least the face of every student here in some way or another just through Shujin’s own little eternal game of telephone, and not by any choice of your own. You actively removed yourself from the local goings-on. Was it his first day here, you wondered. Why hadn’t you heard gossip about him yet, especially looking the way he did?
Beauty was a curse - much like any other feature that stood out - at Shujin Academy. If you were too pretty or handsome, you must be sexually promiscuous. On the other hand, if you were too ugly, too nerdy, too quiet, you probably picked your nose and read hentai on the train. There was no winning in this soul-crushing wasteland. Unfortunately for this new-comer, he was outrageously gorgeous.
“Gah, sorry about that…” he sighed, slowing his pace as he passed you by, plucking your phone up from the ground and offering you his hand. You took it and stood with his help. A quick tug and you were to your feet, dusting off your uniform and thanking him for his assistance. “Yeah, no problem… Ryuji’s just… a bit eager I suppose” he chuckled. “Luckily, no cracks!” He turned your phone around in his hand before placing it back into yours.
“Isn’t that the transfer student??? I heard he nearly killed a man!” One random NPC-esque shithead whispered from behind.
“Oh God, figures that freak would gravitate to the new freak…” another responded.
Ah…  and there it was. Why did fate hate you so much that it chose you as Sakamoto’s door mat on this day? You truly must have been fortune’s fool.
“Yeah, good thing…” You eyed the boy before you, taking in what you could of the new student before the short exchange was over, from his face to the delicate yet thick veins protruding from his lithe hands.
He was tall and thin, and would even be considered lanky if not for the lean muscle that lined his frame. He seemed to be better off than the average teen, sporting almost no blemishes or imperfections on his smooth skin. A black, messy mop of hair that looked soft to the touch sat upon his head, falling into his eyes and over the dark frames of his distinct spectacles. These spectacles did nothing to hide the true elegance that gleamed in the eyes behind them. They were a muted, soft grey that was beautifully simple and clean. His uniform was neat and tidy - as opposed to his blonde and brash acquaintance’s - with his pristine white turtleneck gently blanketing a quite prominent Adam’s apple and his school jacket buttoned and ironed perfectly. Lower down, his plaid slacks concealed thighs that strained against the fabric and long legs that ran down into some very - yet again - flawless dress shoes. Yep, that was a brand new uniform, sure enough.
And a brand new student… he just might make a good subject, a new inspiration for your writing, an aura unmarred by the stain this place put on one’s soul. Your opinion of him was fresh, it was new, unaltered, unbiased, and he really was quite beautiful… your mind played with the thought.
“Ah… sorry about this,” he spoke, taking in the whispers all around you, “I probably just ruined your reputation, what with being seen with me an’ all,” he sighed and laughed breathily, a hint of exhaustion in his voice. He must’ve been keen to the ways of Shujin already, which was super sad in its own right. “I’m Akira by the way,” he held out a hand, and you shook it hesitantly.
“Eh, doesn’t really bother me. It’s (Y/N), nice to meet you. Sorry you’re feeling the Shujin warm welcome.” That first part was only partly true, but the last half was genuine.
“Anyway…” his voice shook you back out of your contemplative reverie, and you came back to reality to find him also looking you over. Oh right… you were new to him as well… “I gotta go, Ryuji is kind of impatient, I’ve found.”
“Hey! Am not!” Ryuji retorted, brows furrowing before he ran off. Akira’s eyes rolled playfully, before he smiled, waved, and sped off.
You nodded, and quickly pulled out your phone, rushing to the glass doors leading to the courtyard. Anything to get out of the spotlight and harsh crowd of stares, plus, you had a sparkling new idea filling up your cranium, and artistic inspiration could not be wasted. Finding one of the benches placed for student recreation, you set down your school bag and impatiently scrambled for your favorite pen, throwing open your notebook.
“Oh, shoot!” You’d gotten ahead of yourself in all the excitement. Placing the moleskin down, you picked up your phone, hands trembling just a bit, and messaged you friends before anything else. They just had to hear about this.

(Y/N) 10:08 am: I can see this conversation isn’t going to be productive
LMAO you’re assholes
You tucked your phone into your pocket and once again picked up your notebook. Scrawling down some of the details you knew about Akria: his looks, the sound of his voice, the way he carried himself, you quickly became aware that you knew far too little… or rather
 You wanted to know more.
Standing, you packed your things and set out to find him again…
Not in the creepy way! You thought to yourself, trying to justify this uncharacteristic choice of yours to actually reach out to someone in real life, to maybe… try to make… friends? You stood there, brows furrowed and a small frown on your face, pondering your options.
“Oh well, all artists must suffer for their work!” You resolved a little too promptly to try to force another encounter with the new kid. He seemed to be special, unique. He seemed to be well aware of the social hierarchy of Shujin, and have a distaste of it at least. Maybe he wouldn’t be… so bad?
Making up your mind, you spent your free period not writing of romance and rebellious characters, but searching for that fluffy-headed newfound hero to your story, however ghoulish and greasy that made you appear. You truly were becoming that “reads-hentai-on-the-train” and stalks cute boys freak your peers thought people like you were, weren’t you?
To your surprise (though maybe it shouldn’t have been surprising with the volume of Sakamoto’s voice) you soon found the gaggle of second-years, model-status beauty Ann Takamaki now added to their number, standing next to the stairs on the third floor, looking quite conspicuous to boot. Noting the suspicious air around the three, you pulled back, hiding behind the corner leading down the next hall. They seemed on edge... maybe now wasn’t the best time to make friends…?
You felt something thump in your chest. Your shoulders sank subconsciously. It felt a little disappointing, disheartening in a way you couldn’t explain. It was a bit intimidating: Ryuji the loudmouth with a temper, the hottest girl in the school, and the cute new kid. You sighed, this was why you never tried to make friends in the first place. Why had you even gotten your hopes up?
These irrational feelings of self-doubt clouded your heart, your head knowing better of course. It was hard to fight thoughts like these, especially for someone like you. On the precipice of making up your mind, deciding to give up and scrap the new novel idea altogether, you were jolted to attention by the sound of shoes scuffling and scrambling up the stairs.
Students aren’t really allowed on the rooftop during school hours unless accompanied by a teacher or given express permission, your thoughts swarmed. Maybe they didn’t know? No, there’s no way. There’s a possibility Akira didn’t know, but Ann and Ryuji had been here for two years... What were they up to?
Your nosiness was regrettably getting the better of you, and you slithered over, careful to pad your steps and tread softly. You didn’t even know what you’d do once you’d cornered the trio on the roof, didn’t know what you’d say. What was there to say? You were never too good with words, that is those not written on paper. Your heart beating out of your chest, you climbed the narrow stairwell and threw open the doors to the roof.
“Huh?” You looked around, dumbfounded. “Hello?” The rooftop area was not that large, all parts of it visible from the door.
There was no one to be found.
“What the hell?” You step forward, thinking you must have been the subject of some prank, but no, upon looking around, all three students were gone without a trace. No school bags, no lunch boxes, no uniform pieces, nothing. Akira, Ryuji, and Ann, all vanished into thin air. There were no hiding spots, none big enough for three people at least. It was dead silent, and only the door you currently guarded provided an exit off of the roof. Your mind wanted to wander to darker places, but if they’d have jumped, there surely would’ve been a commotion either during or shortly after. Frantically, you looked around, feeling like you were going crazy.
“What the fuck?” You pressed the palm of one hand to your forehead, sitting on the ground and crossing your legs.

General RP style and preferences
Repost, don’t reblog. Bold what applies. Strikethrough what does not.   Elaborate on any points you’d like with a *
Please be honest, we all want to find the people who work best with how we RP. ____
Types of RP / How I do threads
| I don’t I just do whatever is on my dash when I’m online | Mainly asks | I do little short things mostly | I do my threads on discord | Long running threads that slowly build upon the muses | multi-para and novella only
* So here’s the deal. I have a muse, three people who rent her space, and a cast of dozens of npcs. I usually do most of my writing on Thurs Night through Monday Night, though I might be around Tues, Wed. Sometimes I am on Riley, sometimes Lugh, sometimes Quothe. Mostly I’m on Beth and one of the others. She’s the easiest for me to write.  I do asks, I do threads. Mostly they are multi-para or novella because try and shut me the fuck up, I dare you. Sorry, kids. I can do rp in discord but often I don’t consider those “canon” unless discussed with the other mun. Sometimes I might write up a ficlet from discord rp and post it on the appropriate blog.
Sometimes I will do shorter bits while writing on my novellas. I am currently something like three months deep into a post for one of my mutuals {waves at them and their salt kingdom}.  I do my best to give you quality, and I appreciate that being reciprocated. QUANTITY does not equal quality. If one cannot tell the difference, then it’s probably a sign we will not get along.
Plotting Preferences
| Wing it | Get a general idea ooc and then run with it & plot further if need be | Long expansive thought out story arcs |  *I prefer to at least touch base, figure out some fine points or guidelines as to what we will write. Especially when establishing a new friendship/partnership. I do prefer long expansive arcs. Once we are firm friends {as evidenced by how much we’ve written together/talked ooc} then it sort of slides into a Wing/Pants It....meaning I will literally roll with whatever you throw my way, either for serious, for play, or for the crack.
Type of threads I do / Prefer
| One-liners only | Whatever dash shenanigans I’m online for | Para or Multi para | Literal Novels | *no, really. Unless it’s an ask/or/crack I probably will not reply to a one-liner. And even with asks, I prefer some kind of context, or at least a verse, or something.
Reply Speed for Threads & Consistency & Keeping threads
| I lose threads all the time & don’t usually get back to them | I tend to lose threads but please tell me if I have and I’ll reply! | I drop threads pretty easily | I’m really slow but I WILL get back to you | I reply on a schedule/queue  | I usually reply within a month | I usually reply within a week | I reply every day | I reply almost instantly | *I sometimes lose threads and I appreciate you checking in if you feel like I have. Sometimes Chicken and I will spend an afternoon just curating who has what thread as we literally have over 200 of them going on. Sometimes I will reply to 5+ and throw them in my queue, sometimes I’ll reply immediately, and speed depends on rl factors between work, family, and other responsibilities like Church, and community things. Reply speed DOES NOT represent how interested I am in stuff. I also never, ever drop a thread. It might take me a while but I WILL answer. The only time a thread gets “dropped” is if we, as muns, decide that it’s come to a natural end.
Romantic or sexual ships
| I don’t do these ships (specify reason if you would like) | I’m not against them happening but it is not the main point of my blog | All ships will have to be super slow burn & discussed a lot OOC, super chemistry based (specify reason if you’d like) | I love doing ships, HMU I probably already ship it just ask! | I ship really quickly | I autoship or ship within a few interactions | I mainly RP for the cute ship fluff or smut | *I’m gonna be honest here. I don’t like how most fandoms do shipping of sexual relationships. I do prefer romantic ones, platonic ones, familial, etc. I love exploring how these things come about. That being said.... Beth is demisexual, and is often not even convinced of that. Beth is quoiromantic in that she doesn’t recognise rigidly defined feelings of love. For example, the way she loves her brothers is the same way she loves her hanai sisters is the same way she loves her husband is the way she loves trees and the ocean and candyfloss. It takes her a while to first, connect with someone and feel anything other than friendship. She might never move beyond that. But pushing her ic or ooc, pushing ME ic or ooc, that won’t do you well. I am willing to discuss and have pre-established relationships. Of All Kinds. I do base ships off Chemistry, not only just the muses. **I** have to feel chemistry and friendship with the other mun or it ain’t gonna happen, no matter HOW pretty your muse is or how popular they are.
Want something? Ask. The worst I can do is say no, and offer an alternative. {this actually goes for any kind of thread, any kind of relationship}
Smut
| I do NOT do smut at all (specify reason if you’d like) | I’m very selective about it | I only do it on a separate (blog/discord/specify here) | I mainly only do asks relating to nfw headcanons on Sundays | I write it a medium amount | I write it all the time and love to |
* I am not shy about smut, I am an adult who has been married for a very long time, and I know where all the parts go. That being said, I don’t mind NSFW asks or threads, as long as they fall into the guidelines above, and I’m gonna tell you a secret. When and if I write smut, it’s usually the first time or two. And maybe a middle or an end. I do not feel every single time has to be written, and really at some point it becomes boring. I like writing things getting interrupted. I like writing things that fail to meet the goal, so to speak. I like the first excitement, or a long sought reunion, and things like that. I like to mix the emotional and the spiritual with the physical. I might flashback or go into great detail about what she’s thinking and feeling and gloss over the individual actions. It depends on the scene, the partner, the story. If you’re looking for Tab A goes into Slot B, shake-rattle-and-roll ad nauseam, then I am not the partner you want. And uhm, probably no one I know is, either.
Active hours [Specify Timezone, if you’d like]
| Mornings 8-10 | Midday 11-1 | Afternoon 2-5 | Evenings 6-8 | Night 9-12 | Ungodly hours of the day 1-onwards | *U.S. MST {{ aka GMT/UTC -7}}  * I work for a public school. I have a set schedule, but also a LOT of time off, and so I have circus hours {meaning I am around almost always when I feel like it}
Activity Schedule
| SUPER slow and sporadic, like once a month or so | Slow and sporadic week long gaps between activity | Bi-weeklyish activity | Weekly activity | Daily activity | I’m online nearly all the time |
Starters
| I don’t do starter calls | I want to do starter calls but often don’t have time | I do reverse inbox calls | I don’t do calls, but always fee free to ask me for one! | I do starter calls rarely/regularly/often |
AUs
| I don’t do AUs | My blog is an AU but outside of that I don’t do them | I sometimes do them but only with a lot of plotting | I have a couple of AUs already feel free to request them! | I have AUs coming out of my ears please interact with them! | I love making AUs HMU to plot if you think of one! | There are some AUs I won’t do - a/b/o, cheating |
*I have established AUs that you’re free to interact with. *Most of my AUs have established ships. *I can make you your own AU. *I don’t do A/B/O, I don’t do cheating, I don’t do HP, I don’t do Anime/Cartoons.
Crossovers
| I don’t do crossovers (specify reason if you’d like) | I’m selective with crossovers (certain fandoms just won’t hold interest) | I love crossovers! |
