The blasting chorus of Follow Me Now by Jason Gleed, wakes Skyline up. Her Hazel eyes glare straight ahead at the coconut cream wall for a few seconds before bringing the cover above her head, trying to muffled the music. Which didn’t help. At all. Then to make the morning less fun, her bed begins to shake violently by her best friend who’s jumping up down awhile singing at the top of her lungs. Skyline groans into the covers and tries to bury herself deeper into the warmth, but before she can even hide, the covers are being shoved off her form. A shiver runs throughout her body from the coldness in the room.
“C’mon Sky! Today’s the day!” Erin yells as she hovers above,
Skyline groans once again, eyes closed shut when it’s far too bright in the room “Five more minutes,”
“No come on,” Erin says, slightly pushing Sky’s body with her foot, “Tiffany and Laila are already downstairs grabbing breakfast,”
Still not moving, Erin shoves her body once again with her foot, when that didn’t do the trick an evil smirk spreads on her face. Grabbing an unused pillow, she raises it above her head before roughly slamming it against Sky’s head, causing her to jerk upright. With sleep still in her eyes, Sky is only able to squint at her best friend.
“Erin! What the fu-,” Her words were cut off when a large pillow smacks her in the face,
Erin chuckles at her, ignoring the death stare as she hops off her bed, “Chop chop.. we got a busy day today!”
With a roll of her eyes and a loud groan, Sky rolls off the comforter and towards the bathroom. After taking care of her regular morning routines, she hops in the shower. Erin’s music still blasted through the speakers, as Sky took a quick shower and she honestly hoped none of their neighbors complained about their disturbance, she knew she would have if she was trying to get a few more hours of shut eye.
That’s all she ever really wanted at the moment, sleep. After months of studying, exams, piles upon piles of work, and busting all nighters she was finally in winter break. The feeling of being able to come home for the holidays and spending those days with her family sounded amazing and relaxing. However, after the second day of being home, she gets a call from Erin. Mentioning something about having another extra ticket for a convention to meet the cast of some show she’s never watched. She kindly declined the offer, wanting to spend her days off with her family sounded like a much better idea than meeting unknown actors. However, Sky often forgets Erin is not the type to take no for an answer and demanded her to hand the phone over to her mother.
Thinking her mother would defend her and find a way to convince Erin to try and find someone else to take to the convention, Sky hands the phone over to her mother. You can only imagine who won that argument.
Once out of the shower with a towel wrapped around her body, Sky heads out the bathroom and towards her duffel bag. In the winter season of Austin, Texas, she decides on a plain long sleeve, black jeans, grey hoodie, black boots on her feet with a leather jacket on top. Once her hair is made and adds a couple splashes of makeup on her face, she grabs her phone and book from the small counter as she follows Erin out the room. After a few minutes later, they finally arrive in the breakfast buffet where Tiffany and Laila are already stuffing themselves with waffles and eggs. With a yawn, Sky makes her way over to the buffet with Erin right behind her. Once they both get their plates and sit down on the table, they dig in before getting on with their day.
****
8:45 am
“Oh my god!! I just hugged Speight!!” The sound of Laila coming around the corner interrupts Sky from her book,
The sight of Laila bouncing up and down on her feet with a wide grin makes a small chuckle escape from Skyline. As her friends beamed over this Speight guy, Sky returns her focus down on her book. Not really paying much attention at their excitement, but still having a smile on her lips as she reads the next chapter in her book. Even if she’s not having the same excitement as her friends, she is still having fun with them. Being around them in general for whatever reason always brightens her day. No matter how rough of a day she’s seems to be having, her girls always know just how to distract her and make her have fun.
“Ohh it’s almost time for Osric’s panel,” Tiffany says while looking down at her phone,
No longer able to focus on her book, Sky marks her spot before getting up from the floor.
“You guys go in, I’ve got auto’s for Kim at nine,”
It’s barely nine in the morning? Jesus. Sky thinks to herself, the day has felt extremely long she could have sworn it was already noon.
“Okay, let’s go Sky,” Laila motions her head to the side for her to follow,
“If you guys want me to continue tagging along, I’m gonna need an espresso,” Sky states, feeling yet another yawn creeping up her throat,
Her friends chuckle at her but agreed with her idea. They wouldn’t want her dragging her feet all over the convention, besides, coffee did sound like a great idea. Once writing down their preferred drinks in her notes, Sky leaves through the doors, down the steps and towards a coffee shop not too far away. It was only a couple blocks away, she should make it back in no time. Hugging her jacket closer to her body when the wind picks up, Sky quickens her movements to avoid its freezing weather but careful to not slip on the wet pavement. The last thing she needs is to fall flat on her ass, better yet get a concussion or go back home with a broken wrist.
Boy would her mom faint if she saw her daughter in a cast. Will most likely give her a lecture on why it’s important not to be on the phone during the most worst seasons. ‘If you weren’t on the phone this wouldn’t have happened Skyline’. Yep. She can definitely hear her ranting.
After a few blocks in the harsh winds, Skyline is finally reaching the small little coffee joint. Just as she reaches for the handle of the door, another, large, hand reaches at the same time. Thick fingers slightly touching her own, making her pull back with an apology.
“No it’s fine go ahead,” A deep voice says beside her, letting a shiver run down her body,
Most likely from the weather, what else would it be?
She looks up at the man. Dark beard, shades on his face, black hat on his head, with a black T-Shirt underneath a checkered navy flannel and black Levi’s jacket. Even under the dark shades she can tell he was good looking, handsome in fact.
“No you can go ahead,” Sky smiles at the man, stepping aside for him to enter,
He only shakes his head, gripping the door handle as he opens it for her, “Please I insist, my mom would throw a fit if she finds out I didn’t show my manners,”
Sky chuckles at him, “Well we wouldn’t want that now,”
The man chuckles back, smile forming on his lips. Man did that smile just make her stomach flip.
“No, we really wouldn’t,” Chuckling once more at him she accepts the offer with a thanks before entering the coffee shop,
As she walks inside, the change of temperature immediately hits her cold cheeks. Almost as if a heating furnace was suddenly shoved in her face, but she wasn’t complaining, the warmth was needed. Walking further into the coffee shop, she takes a glance over her shoulder to see if the man was behind her, but only lets a smile appear when she catches the moment of him allowing an elderly couple enter before him.
That’s sweet. She thinks to herself as she walks up to the counter. Once her drinks have been ordered and paid, she heads over to a small empty table near the window. Sitting on the chair she pulls out her book and continues where she left off as she waits for her drinks. A few minutes had passed and Sky was too engrossed in her book to notice her name being called out by the barista. Eventually though, she comes back to reality when someone places her drink in front her. Looking up from her book she meets eyes with bright emerald orbs, and noticing those breathtaking eyes belong to the same man from the door.
“I’m guessing your Skyline?,” The way her name rolls off his deep voice sends a shiver down her spine,
Definitely can’t be the air this time, absolutely not.
Eyeing the cup of coffee in front of her, she lifts a eyebrow at the man, teasing him. Even if she sees her name written on the side of the cup.
“And what makes you think that?” The way his lips slightly lift causes something to flip in her stomach,
Again.
“Well.. seeing how there’s hardly folks in here,” He looks around the shop for a few seconds before landing his eyes on hers again, “and you being the only one sitting down without a coffee.. I took a guess,”
Sky hums with a smile as she takes the cup, “Nice deduction,”
He shrugs a shoulder with a smile, “This seat taken?”
Sky shakes her head as she takes careful sips from her drink. With a small smile the man pulls out the chair with his other free hand, seeing how he has a cup of his own in one hand.
“I’m Ross by the way,” The man extends a hand once seated,
With a smile Sky accepts his hand, feeling it warm and rough as it wraps around her own.
“Nice to meet you,” Still smiling she pulls away from his firm hand,
“You around from here or just passing through?” He asks, taking careful sips from his cup,
Sky softly smiles at him as she wraps her hands around her coffee, trying to warm up her fingers.
“Born and raised,” He raises a brow at the small fact,
“No kidding?”
She nods, “Yeah but I’m just home for the holidays,”
He hums with a nod, “In the army or something?”
Sky couldn’t help the chuckle that escapes from her, definitely noticing how the corner of the mans lips slightly lift as well.
“More like college. My last year,”
“Really? What’re you studying?” He asks, taking another sip, never letting his eyes drift from her Hazel ones,
But does notice how they dart down towards his mouth before quickly looking back up to his eyes. A small smirk hides behind the cup, but doesn’t hide it when he pulls it away from his face.
“Biology,” He hums once again with a sincere smile, making her stomach flip,
It was such an odd feeling, especially when it was coming directly from a man she hardly knows. But for some reason, it felt right. Their conversations switched from topic to topic, never faltering. It just felt right, as if they were long time friends catching up with each other instead of two strangers who just met. Eventually, their conversation was cut short with the barista calling out her name once again with the rest of her drinks.
Getting up from her seat she walks over to the counter where her drinks waited. As she grabbed a cup holder and begins placing her drinks in each space, Ross, settles next to her. Getting a whiff of his cologne. Leaning on the counter he had both his and her coffee in either hand, which he hands over with a smile once all coffees were safely secured in place.
“I should get going,” She smiles up at his green orbs, and only then noticing how freckles are splashed on his face,
This man was literally dashing, no doubt about it.
“Yeah same here,” He says looking down at his watch, “Need a ride?”
She shakes her head with a smile, “I’m good thanks,”
“You sure? Heard it might rain,” He continues to lean on the counter as she places her coffee in an empty slot of the holder,
“I’m sure, it’s just a few blocks from here,”
“Well it can rain from those few blocks,” He argues as he gives her a smile, not wanting to end their little moment,
Neither did she, but she had friends waiting and the moment she tells them the reason why she took a little longer than expected, they wouldn’t leave her alone until she gives them the whole shebang.
She lets a small chuckle escape her lips as she picks up the coffees, “I’ll make a run for it,”
He softly chuckles at her comment, green eyes staring straight into her Hazel orbs that have slightly turned grey from her sweater. Definitely finding her and her eyes fascinating and beautiful.
“It was nice meeting you Ross,” She smiles at him as she walks away,
He smiles as he watches her, sending her a wave goodbye when she looks over her shoulder before walking out the door. Watching her leave didn’t feel like a loss, it felt the complete opposite actually. Why? Well for starters, he knew it wouldn’t be the last time he saw her considering she had the all too familiar Creation Entertainment wristband on her left hand. Also, he had her book inside his jacket, another reason on why he would see her again.
Both to retrieve her book and to have a reason to see her again. Don’t get him wrong, he was actually going to give it to her before she left, but the thought of holding it and having a reason to see her again sounded like great idea. He wanted to see her again, wanted to have a conversation longer than 10 minutes and just wanted to get to know her. She was different, in a good way, absolutely in a good way. The way she seemed to not know him or maybe she did but simply did not care made him feel relaxed, made him feel somewhat normal and he would give anything to feel that way again.
Even if it meant “stealing” her book to have an excuse to see her again.

Red Carpet [Maxwell Lord x F!Reader]
Summary: you attend an awards ceremony with your fiancée, Maxwell Lord. It’s nerve-wracking, but he knows how to comfort you, and you even meet a few celebrities along the way.
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: alcohol mention, allusions to sex
Word count: 2000
A/N: I wrote this while watching the BAFTAs and got inspired! Pedro looked so cute. Anyways there’s nothing better than some tooth-rotting fluff on a Sunday night. REBLOGS APPRECIATED.
Tumblr media
Your heart was racing. You weren’t sure how he did it, or where he got the confidence from, but when you see him all suited up in his tuxedo and hair perfectly coiffed, you feel nothing but pride swell in your chest. You bite down on your lower lip and wrap your arms around him as he stands in the mirror and adjusts his black bow tie.
“You look amazing,” you coo, nuzzling your head into the crook of your neck but being extra careful not to rub your makeup on him. “Smell good too.” you hum, taking in the notes of sweet honey musk with a hint of spice.
He spins around and his hands immediately find your waist as his dark eyes rake your figure. You’re wearing a silver glittering gown that hugs your body in all the right places. “You look… breathtaking,” he murmurs, his warm breath fanning over your neck. When he pulls away from you, he sees the way you happily scrunch up your nose and his entire face lights up. “How did I ever get so lucky?” he asks.
You feel your cheeks flush with heat and you look down at the floor. You and Maxwell have been together for years now, but you still get a little shy whenever he compliments you. He finds it endearing though and his fingers tap at your chin, pushing it upwards so he can look you in the eyes again. He’s completely enamoured by you. You could do absolutely anything and it would capture him into a trance.
Not once did he ever believe that he was someone capable of falling in love. That was, until, he met you.
“Are you nervous?” you ask, swaying your hips slightly. You’re nervous. You don’t want to say anything to worry him, but he can probably tell none-the-less.
“Not really.” he replies, checking his hair one final time. You’re glad he’s feeling okay. He’s always been good at talking to big audiences. You’re proud of him too. Knowing just how far he’s come.
“If there was a category for best infomercial, you would win.” You assure him and he lets out a laugh.
“Oh I agree,” He cheekily grins, linking his arm with yours. He’s not been nominated for an award, but he was hosting a category. Maxwell wasn’t exactly a A List Hollywood celebrity, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t famous. Everyone in the world knew his face and he was most certainly a household name. If it wasn’t from his commercials or speeches, it was from the lavish parties he held and all the reality TV guest appearances he starred in. “The limo is waiting. Are you ready?”
You grab your purse and nod your head. When you make your way downstairs to the car, his hand doesn’t leave yours once. You’re lucky enough to live in a pretty private enclosed neighbourhood with him, but the second you’re both in the city, there are flashing cameras everywhere.
The bright lights are overwhelming, and you wince as they blind you. He’s used to it though, and he makes full effort to shelter you from it.
First thing on the checklist was to complete the red carpet. Knowing that there were so many cameras on you, and that your photographs would most likely be in the tabloids tomorrow, makes you feel uneasy. But Maxwell always knows how to calm you down. His hand rests on the small of your back and he whispers a few jokes in your ear now and again which force your lips to curl into a genuine smile.
If it was up to him, he’d spend every moment relishing the limelight and garnering attention. However, he knows you aren’t the biggest fan of it, so as you duck your head down, he makes it his goal to get you inside as fast as possible.
They’re all shouting his name and he politely waves. But once you’re inside, he makes sure you’re okay, and gives your arm a little squeeze. You can see him though, trying to take a peek outside. There are cameras and press waiting for him, you know that, and it was a big night for him. You’d hate to be the thing keeping him from enjoying himself.
“They want to see you,” you tell him. “You should go out and see them.”
“No,” he firmly states, shaking his head. “No. C’mon, I’ll take you to the bar.” He slips his hand into yours and goes to take you across the lobby. You dig your heel into the floor, refusing to move. When he looks at you, you’re smirking playfully.
“Just go. It’ll be good press for Black Gold. I’ll be fine.” you insist, flattening the palm of your hand against his chest. The material of his white shirt is soft and feels so luxurious.
He hesitates slightly, not wanting to leave your side, but he knows that there is no point in arguing. Besides, you have point. “I won’t be long.” he promises before kissing you. When he pulls away, you can’t help but grin, seeing your red gloss smudged against his own soft lips.
“Oh wait!” you laugh, licking your finger and wiping it off for him. “Okay, now you can go.”
When he heads back outside, they go wild for him. They’re asking him all these questions about what charities he’s considering donating to at his next fundraiser, or what his own personal thoughts are on the latest celebrity gossip. But, all he can think about is you.
“I always love chatting to you,” Maxwell flashes his charismatic television smile as he charms the journalist. “But my fiancée is inside waiting for me so I must be heading off.”
Maxwell realises what he’s done immediately after the words leave his mouth. Neither of you had come out and announced your engagement yet. Of course there had been rumours, when the paparazzi had caught shots of the enormous diamond rock on your finger, but nothing had ever been confirmed. The journalist looks overjoyed when he realises he’s the first to learn this information.
“Oh Mr. Lord!” he cries. “Congratulations. This is just terrific news. Do you have a wedding date yet?”
A pink blush crosses Maxwell’s cheeks at the thought of you on his wedding day. “Uh, no,” he answers. “But she wants a summer wedding.”
Maxwell finds himself gushing about you for a little longer than he intended, but he’s really not out there for too long. He’s inpatient to get back inside with you, and grab a drink. You already have a glass of whiskey waiting for him.
You’re waiting at the high rise bar, your feet dangling from the stool you’re sat on as you sheepishly eye up all the famous guests who are waiting in the lobby. Maxwell jumps up from behind you and you almost fall off your chair, but in one swift movement, he steadies you and holds you tight.
“Maxie,” you mumble, thankful that he’s back with you. “I think I just saw Elton John.”
Maxwell gasps and looks around. “Where?”
You shyly point your finger into the corner, where a Elton John is standing, nursing a cocktail and speaking to--
“Is that Madonna?!” you practically yelp.
Maxwell adores how excitable you get. “Why don’t we go say hello?”
You look at him as if he’s crazy.
“Max… that is Elton John and Madonna. I can’t--, we can’t… I’m--”
He shushes you and takes your hand. “But imagine how amazing it would be if we could get them to play at our wedding?”
You feel your heart blossom at the thought but you’re still unsure. “I don’t know…” you trail off but he pouts and you take a deep breath. “Okay. Okay fine.” you sigh, giving in to his puppy dog eyes.
As it turns out, Elton John and Madonna were lovely people.
The awards ceremony is about to begin and you sit around a table which is relatively close to the stage. The seats are warm and made out of crushed velvet, and each guest is given a glass of the finest champagne. Around the table sit other celebrities.
Sure, being around Max means that you’ve met a lot of famous people in your time, but being in such close proximity to them would never not be scary. You weren’t born into wealth or success like the majority of people here were. As someone with a habit of being clumsy and easily flustered, you knew this lifestyle wasn’t for you, and you didn’t think it ever would be. But Maxwell was a natural and he fit in so well around these people. You’d always be there to support him.
You anxiously twist the engagement ring on your finger when he stands up and presses a kiss to the top of your head.
“I won’t be long,” he utters under the music. “Will you be okay?”
He’s due to go on stage in fifteen minutes and the crew has requested that he goes behind the curtains to prepare. You wish you could go with him. As long as you’re with him, you’re fine. You silently nod and he brings his hand down to your cheek, gazing at you with sparkling brown eyes. “Are you sure?”
“Go,” you laugh, swatting his arm playfully and then quickly rubbing out any crinkles you might’ve put in his suit. “I’ll be fine.”
He grins and kisses you one final time before disappearing into the crowd. When he’s out of sight, you decide to take a sip of your champagne, hoping the alcohol would relax you just a little bit. But then George Michael from WHAM! taps you on the shoulder, and you feel like your heart is in your ass.
“May I sit here?” He asks, pointing at the chair next to you. It’s unoccupied, other than your purse which was sitting on it.
“Oh! Sure!” you blurt out, doing your best to stay calm. The two of you sit in silence as you wait for the lights to go down.
“Do I know you?” George asks eventually, folding his arms across his chest. He looks somewhat bemused. “I feel like I recognise you.”
“Um, no. I mean-- you probably don’t know me. But I’m here with my fiancee, Max Lord,” you explain. “He’s presenting the ‘Best Actor’ category.”
“Oh!” George grins, slapping his thigh. “Of course I know Maxwell! He’s the oil guy!” George clears his throat before pointing his finger. “Life is good, but it can be better!” He impersonates one of Max’s most famous one-liners, and you laugh, nodding your head.
“Yep, that’s him.” you confirm.
“I actually invest in his business.” George tells you and you smile politely.
“Oh, well he’d be thrilled to know that.” you tell the star.
Not long after your brief conversation with George, the event begins. You’re so nervous for Max, but you know he’s going to do great. When he comes on stage, he’s just as bold and charming as you anticipate, and you have no doubt he’s swooning audiences all around the world. He winks at you before announcing the nominees, and you feel a flurry of butterflies erupt in your stomach. He’s in his element and you love nothing more than to see him do the thing he was best at.
Max announces the winner and offers her a hug when she comes to collect the award, but all he can think about is heading back to the table so he can be with you for the rest of the night. Sure, he enjoyed all of this. But he loved being with you even more.
When he sits back down next to you, his hand travels under the hem of your dress and up your thigh. His fingers trace loving patterns into your skin. “I was thinking…” he hums quietly, the vibrations of his low voice enough to make a shiver run down your spine. “What if we just skip the after-party and go straight home?”
You’re baffled by his suggestion and shoot him a bewildered look.
“What? But you love parties.”
“But I love you even more,” he reveals, grinning at you dork-ishly. “Besides, I’ve been wanting to get that dress off you from the moment I saw you in it.”
You giggle and lean your head on his shoulder. Events like this were always nerve wracking, but as long as you were with Maxwell, you were in your happy place. Still, the thought of getting out of here and spending some one on one time with your soon to be husband was more than appealing.
“Let’s ditch.” you tell him, and you live for the smile he gives you.
You couldn’t wait to marry Max and be with him for the rest of your life.

“I found my home with you”
Freddy Carter x Reader
Warnings - None, Fluff 💞
I definitely regretted wearing pumps on my way into work this morning. As soon as I stepped outside of the hotel grounds, the wind swept violently into my hair and through my body, my fluffy overcoat doing nothing to protect me from the cold. Still, I pulled it tightly around me and headed towards the bus station.
By the time I got into the hair and make up trailer to get ready for our last day on set, I looked like a drowned rat.
Despite the usage of an umbrella, my hair had lost its volume and curled right up from the ends. My clothes were cold and clammy against my skin and my fluffy coat had matted, now totally unwearable.
Kit glanced in my direction as I slam the trailer down behind me. He takes a moment to take in my disheveled appearance before letting out a booming laugh.
My teeth where chattering rapidly and I couldn’t think of something witty to say, so I just threw him my best sarcastic smile, desperate to change.
“You know, if you needed a lift I would of offered” A familiar voice raises from behind me.
I spin on my heel, faster then I meant to and almost hit the floor. The man I front of me catches me with ease, a gentle smirk resting upon his face.
I grin up at him and regain my balance.
“Good morning to you too, Freddy”
Suddenly, a long arm swings itself around my shoulders and I look up to see kit back at my side.
“Come on. Let’s get you in the chair” he lets out a small laugh again and I swing my wet locks at him, damping him slightly.
“I’m not the only one needed in the chair” I tease as we laugh together, walking down to the other end of the trailer.
I look back at Freddy, I see his smile had disappeared. In a feeble attempt to have it return I give a quick wave before sitting down to transform into my on screen character.
Although it was our last day on set and it was indeed a very bittersweet moment, I still enjoyed myself fully with the cast and crew which I now how the privilege of calling my friends. My day was spent running around with Kit, Jessie, Archie, Amita and Ben. I didn’t really see Freddy until the end of day when I was stripping out of character. Fortunately my clothes from this morning had dried so at least I didn’t need to worry about that.
I was heading out when I heard his voice again.
“Need a lift?”
I spin again, managing to keep my footing to this.
“I didn’t see you today” I questioned him, but it make out more like a statement.
He smiles and offers me an arm.
He throws my question off with one of his own.
“Are you going to the after party with anyone tonight?”
I shake my head.
“No. Are you?”
We arrive at his car and stops to open the door.
I bow slightly. “I see chivalry Isn’t dead after all.”
A giggle falls from his lips. The sound was low but somehow soft.
I step into the passenger side and fasten my seatbelt.
Freddy copies my actions.
“In regards to the after party, I erm, I wanted to ask you... to go with me?”
I watched as he cheeks flared up and tried to hide my confusion.
Why was he blushing?
I tap his knee in response.
“I’d love to go with you”
We arrive back at the hotel and walk our separate ways in order to get ready. Freddy promised to collect me when it was time.
I walk over to the wardrobe where my dress hung. It took me weeks to find it. I tentatively run my fingers down the material. If you had told me this would be my life a couple years ago, well I would have laughed.
Working on set as an actor, working my way up to producing... it all seemed impossible back then. Now I’m here, about to attend my first wrap party.
I wipe my eyes, ensuring the tears don’t fall and bring the dress down from its hanger.
It was time.
Freddy was at my door as promised, just as the clock struck 7.
I take a deep breath in and pull open the door.
My dress swings slightly as a take a step towards the man waiting.
His mouth wide open as a gasp escapes him.
I panic.
“What? Is it to much? It’s to much isn’t it? I’ll go change. Just give me a -“
I turn and attempt to go back into my suite, still rambling as Freddy catches my arm.
“You, you look incredible” he gushes.
We stand there for a moment, lost in the sea of each other’s eyes before Freddy jumps back into action and offers me his arm.
I take it and notice of his own outfit. It was smart casual, light blue suit pants and blazer with a white shirt and matching shoes.
“Hey we match, see?”
I shift slightly to show more of my outfit, before resting my head on his shoulder as we walk down to the function room 3 floors below.
The night ran smoothly. I laughed and drank with friends while celebrating everything we had achieved other the past few months.
Towards the end of the night, when I was pleasantly tried I slipped off my heals And hid them with my bag under a table. When I lift my head I saw Freddy standing over me.
“Care to dance?”
“The reason?” I smirk, stretching my petite legs.
He matches my smirk and outstretches a hand.
“Kaz Brekker didn’t need a reason. I suppose I don’t either.”
I roll my eyes. He caught me there.
I take his offer and we make our way to the dance floor. People break away but I didn’t mind. As far as I could see, it was just me and Freddy.
The music slowed and the beat changes to something more classical.
His hands meet my waist as he pulls me closer.
I force myself to face him, looking into his eyes again.
“Thank you” I whispered.
His sharp brows lift in confusion.
“I found my home here. With this cast, with these people ... with you”
Our noses almost touched and I could here his heartbeat underneath my palms.
He leaned in, closing the final gap between us and his lips clasped mine. He was soft, caring, gentle; yet the kiss was anything but. It was cause for fireworks.
When we finally pulled apart, I realised everyone was staring. It was quiet for a moment and then the cheering and clapping begun.
I buried my head into Freddie’s chest as shyness took over, Freddy laughed and held me tightly.
When the party ended, Freddie accompanied me back to my room. Just as I was about to shut my hotel door, Freddy place one last kiss upon my cheek and whispered into my ear.
“I found my home with you also. I hope I can continue to do so”

The tension between you and Jungkook was thick.
As you held the hotel room’s door open, you could barely meet his eyes as he carried Minho, who was in a deep slumber inside. Not a single word was shared between the two of you ever since leaving the restaurant.
Neither of you knew what to say to the other.
You continued watch him carrying your son to one of the rooms, hearing his distant voice say “I’m going go put him to bed.”
You only nodded your head, your eyes following his back until he disappeared into your room. When he was out of sight, you went into the kitchen and grabbed the bottle of champagne Jungkook showed you earlier. You didn’t even bother grabbing a glass, instead you just removed the cap and took a fairly large gulp.
The sweet taste of the bubbly liquid on your tongue and feeling of it going down your throat gave you instant relief and comfort.
Dinner did not go as you thought it would.
Fucking Jiyoo, your mind cursed while taking another gulp of the champagne. She was the reason you couldn’t—didn’t tell everyone about your divorce tonight. You didn’t want to give her the satisfaction of being right about you and Jungkook all along.
That you two wouldn’t last.
“Care to share?” You jumped when noticing Jungkook leaning against the kitchen entrance with his arms crossed over his chest and eyes trained on you. You didn’t say anything to him, only handed him the bottle.
“Tonight was a mess, huh?” Jungkook asks before taking the bottle out of your hand and engulfing nearly half the bottle down his throat. You could only nod in reply.
Guilt was running through your veins right now. Tonight was suppose to be the night where the lies finally stop—at least, that’s what you told Jungkook before leaving the hotel. But at the end, you two were still stuck in the web of lies. All because of that stupid pride monster that constantly hangs on your shoulder whenever Jiyoo appears.
“I’m sorry,” was the first thing that came out of your mouth ever since leaving restaurant, your eyes staring into Jungkook’s as he lowered the bottle onto the counter. “ I was suppose to come clean about everything tonight, but I didn’t and I’m sorry—”
“You don’t need to apologize, {Name}.” Jungkook cuts you off before you could finish. “I know how much Jiyoo angers you. Trust me, she infuriates me too. Remember our wedding night?”
Your heart flutter and clenched in unison. “Yes.”
Tumblr media
“Care to dance, my handsome husband?”
You stared at Jungkook’s hand and took it without hesitation, smiling brightly as he dragged you two to the dance floor where many of your family members and friends were already at.
When you two reached the center of the floor, Jungkook’s hands found themselves on your waist while yours were on his broad shoulders. The two of you swayed with to the beat of the classical music, chests pressed against each other.
With your head resting on Jungkook’s chest and his cheek on top of your head, you felt at ease. It almost felt like you two were the only ones in the reception hall, no one else.
“I can’t believe I get to finally call you my husband,” you could hear Jungkook whisper into your hair before pressing a gentle kiss on top of your head.
“Me neither,” you smiled in his chest, tightening your grip around him as you both continued to sway to the calming music, you occasionally leaning up to press small kisses along Jungkook’s jawline or neck, or him leaning down to capture your lips with his.
It was almost peaceful. You dancing along with Jungkook—your husband, while friends and family members danced alongside you. Again, it almost peaceful. That was until you heard a very familiar screechy voice, tearing you away from the peace.
Pulling your head away from Jungkook’s chest, both of your eyes fell upon none other than Jiyoo pushing her way through the crowd on the dance floor just to approach you two. “Hey, {Name}! Sorry that I’m late—”
“Jiyoo, what are you doing here?” You cut her off, briefly glancing at Jungkook who shared the same confused expression as you.
“It’s your wedding day, silly. You didn’t think I would miss it, did you?”
“But you didn’t RSVP,” you pointed out, hands tightening around Jungkook’s as you began to feel your frustration grow inside.
“Really?” Jiyoo raised a brow, tapping her fingers against her chin and humming softly. “Are you sure? I swear I did—”
“You didn’t,” you interrupted her again, practically seething.
“Well, I’m here. And you aren’t going to kick out your favorite cousin, are you?” You almost scoffed at her comment.
Jungkook could feel the anger radiating from you. So before you had the chance to mentally implode, he spoke up for you. “Listen, Jiyoo, there aren’t any available spots left for you at any of the tables. We only bought enough for the people that RSVP’d.”
“Oh don’t worry about me,” she laughed while shaking her head, which just made you even more annoyed. “I’ll just pull a chair up somewhere, or stand in the back. You won’t even know that I’m here.”
You rolled your eyes the same time Jungkook spoke up, “Alright, fine. Just don’t start anything okay?”
Jiyoo just nodded before leaving you two.
“I don’t understand why we didn’t just throw her out,” you pouted, turning to face Jungkook with your arms crossed over your chest. “It’s her fault for not RSVPing.”
Jungkook chuckled at the sight. “Because if we tried to kick her out, then she would’ve caused a scene.”
He was right. Jiyoo always been a dramatic person, and if you did try to force her out then she most likely would’ve started crying or something else to get everyone’s attention.
You didn’t say anything, only shoved your face back into Jungkook’s chest and wrapped your arms around him.
“This is our our day.” Jungkook whispered into your hair, hands finding their way back on your waist. “And we shouldn’t let her ruin our day. Let’s just focus on us, okay?”
“Okay,” you mumbled into his chest, leaning your head up to quickly peck his lips.
The two of you began to dance again, and slowly you could feel the peacefulness come back again.
But of course, it didn’t last long...
Not even half an hour later, when you and Jungkook were both back at your table eating, Aerum came up to you two with an annoyed expression on her face. “Who the hell let the she-devil in here?”
“She just showed up,” you answered, turning to see Jungkook having the same confused expression as you. “Why, what is she doing?”
“Well for one, she’s drunk.” Aerum started, annoyance clear in her voice and face. “And she’s telling everyone that she’s shocked you two made it this far, and that she doesn’t see your marriage lasting.”
“Are you kidding me?” You gaped, eyes wide. “I’m going to talk to her right now—”
Jungkook tried to stop you, but he was too late because you were already up from your seat and marching away.
It didn’t take long for you to find Jiyoo. You found her at the bar, talking to some of your other cousins. You were about to approach her but chose to stop yourself instead, wanting to listen to what she has to say about you. And if you weren’t furious before, you definitely were now.
“I don’t really see them lasting, you know.” You froze, your hands clenching into fists. “They rushed into everything, and couples who do that never really last.”
“Well they both seem to really love each other,” one of your cousins attempted to defend you.
“Oh please,” Jiyoo scoffed. “They might act like they do now, but give it about a year. Next thing we’ll hear is Jungkook divorcing {Name}.”
“What about the other way around? What if {Name} is the one that divorces Jungkook?”
“That’s not gonna happen.” Jiyoo chuckled, shaking her head. “Jungkook is it for {Name}, that boy can’t upgrade anymore from that. But Jungkook for that matter, he can do way better than {Name}. He could date anyone, another idol, a model, actor but he settled on an assistant to some no-named company—”
The sound of you clearing your throat made Jiyoo freeze and eyes widen. “Oh, {Name}. What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be with your husband?”
You simply shook your head, crossing your arms over your chest. “No, he’s busy eating right now. But I do want to know why your talking shit about me on my wedding day.”
The two other cousins that Jiyoo were talking to shared a glance before walking away, leaving you and Jiyoo alone.
“Why the fuck are you telling people that you don’t see me and Jungkook’s marriage lasting—on my wedding day!” You nearly shouted at her but refrained yourself, not wanting to get everyone’s attention. “Like, what the fuck is wrong with you? I allow you to stay here even though you didn’t let me know ahead of time, and you still have the audacity to talk shit about me?”
“Listen {Name},” Jiyoo placed her hand on your shoulder, which just made you jerk away. “I’m not trying to offend you or anything, it’s just that your relationship with Jungkook still confuses me, that’s all—”
“We’ve been dating for more than two years.” You snapped, eyes flaring. “Why are you still acting like this? And how does my relationship with Jungkook affect you at all?”
When Jiyoo remained silent, you continued. “I’m sick and tired of you always bringing me and Jungkook’s relationships down. Seriously, don’t you have anything better to do than to constantly comment on my love life?”
Jiyoo continued to not say anything back. “I’m going to go back to my husband, you know, the one I have been dating for more than two years now and just married not even an hour ago. If you’re going to just continue talking shit about me and my relationship, then just save me the trouble and leave so that I won’t have to call security, okay?”
Before you had the chance to turn away, Jiyoo finally decided to speak up and her question caused you to freeze. “Do you see Jungkook and you lasting?”
You didn’t hesitate before answering her, “Yes.”
“Just because all of your past relationships didn’t worked out, doesn’t mean mine won’t,” you then added.
This time you didn’t wait for her to reply. Turning around, you left her and went back to your table with your hands clenched into fists and heart beating roughly inside of your chest out of complete rage and frustration.
You and Jungkook were going to last—at least, that’s what you thought.
Oh, how wrong you were.
Tumblr media
“I was so close to ripping her head off that day.”
Jungkook chuckled, taking another drink from the bottle of champagne. “I don’t blame you.”
“It just sucks that she was right, though.” Those words came out of your mouth faster than your mind could comprehend it, and with your eyes focused on your fidgeting fingers you didn’t notice the guilt expression flashing on Jungkook’s face and his body tensing.
“Y-Yeah,” Jungkook could only stutter out, swallowing the lump building up in his throat. An awkward silence then filled the room before he spoke up again, breaking it. “Do you want to take a shower first?”
“No, you can.” You answered simply, earning a small nod from him before leaving.
Once you were alone you let out a loud sigh. And then you decided to go your room and wait for Jungkook to finish showering, wanting to rest and forget about the conversation you just had with him.
But before you could even leave the kitchen, the sound of someone knocking caused you to freeze. It was half past midnight, you weren’t expecting someone to come over—and you definitely didn’t expect to find your mother standing in your hotel room’s doorway.
“Eomma,” you stared at your mother with wide eyes. “What are you doing here this late?”
Your mother stepped in with a grin, “Oh, I’m here to let you know that I’ll be taking Minho off your hands tomorrow so that you and Jungkook can have the day to yourselves.”
“W-What?” You gaped, and with your eyes already wide it felt like they were about to burst from your head. “B-But tomorrow is your birthday—literally, and I want to spend the day with you.”
Your mother chuckled and shook her head. “Oh, don’t worry about it honey. Just spending time with my favorite sonja is enough. You and Jungkook deserve some time alone.”
You could feel your heart beating anxiously. “But we came on this trip for your birthday—”
“Nonsense,” your mother cut you off, waving her hand dismissingly. “I know with your busy schedules you two haven’t had much time for each other, so this trip is a perfect opportunity for some alone time.”
“And you two might even find a way to spice up your marriage,” she then adds with a teasing smirk on her lips and nudges your side.
Your heart sunk into your stomach. “B-But—”
“Hey, have you seen my phone—” You two whipped your heads towards hallway where Jungkook stood, eyes wide when they landed on your mother. “Oh, eomeoni. What are you doing here?”
“I was just telling {Name} that I’ll be taking Minho off your guys’ hands tomorrow so that you two can have the day for yourselves.”
Jungkook’s widened eyes glanced towards you. “O-Oh, really? That’s g-great, right honey?”
You opened your mouth, but before you could say anything back another voice was heard—this one being much softer and slightly high pitched. “Appa!”
“Minho woke up,” you sighed. “I’ll be right back.”
Once Jungkook and your mother were alone, she spoke up. “Well, I’m going to head out and let you three get some rest. You have a big day tomorrow.”
Jungkook could only let out an anxious laugh, attempting to conceal the nervousness he was currently feeling.
Jungkook thought there wasn’t anything that could make the anxiety he was feeling worse—he was wrong. The next words that came out of your mother’s mouth just as she was about to leave made his blood instantly turn cold and skin pale.
“You better not screw this up.”

The campus library has always been her favorite spot to study. It's quiet and the atmosphere is always soothing, the exact opposite of her dorm room where her roommate seems more interested in experimenting the male anatomy than studying it in her textbook. A few weeks ago, after catching her once again during the act, she had decided to find a new place to study. She had walked around the campus and eventually found this spot around one of the large hardwood tables that stand between the bookshelves full of old books about psychology. The perfect place to set her in a study mood.
For the past few hours, she has been sitting in her usual place, her textbook open in front of her eyes and her black notebook on her right. She only has one midterm left in two days and it will cover all the topics seen in her subconscious psychology course, which is one of her most interesting courses, but also the one that requires the longest hours of study in order to pass the exams.
The sound of a chair gliding on the floor makes her look up and she’s surprised to see Drew, a boy from her psychology of the subconscious class, sit on the chair in diagonal to her. Normally, the library is almost empty at this time of the night and she never saw him here; he seems like the kind of guy who spends more time on the football field than he does in front of his textbooks. They’ve been in the same class for four months, but she never really paid attention to him, except when he is disturbing the class with the two other musketeers, Chase and Rudy. She smiles nicely at him when their eyes meet and he raises his coffee cup which he pretends to drink all at once while they both laugh silently, hoping not to be warned by Mrs. Jones, the librarian who looks strangely similar to Roz from the movie Monster inc.
She tries to put her nose back in her book, trying to focus on the pages suggested in the study guide and highlighting important sentences from a passage about Freud and his discovery of psychoanalysis, but she can't help but look up discreetly at the boy. He is wearing a navy flannel shirt which, half-buttoned, reveals a white shirt that moulds his muscular chest. His trademark cap, which he always wears backwards, rests as usual on the top of his head, still letting a few strands of hair slip out of the hat. She particularly lingers on his muscled arms covered by the navy blue cloth, it's not surprising that he's the quarterback on the football team. The  studious look on his face and the way he’s chewing on the tip of his pencil while frowning makes him look cuter than usual, she can’t deny it.
When she sees the lateness of the hour, she delicately puts her books back in her red bag, not noticing how intensely the boy is staring at her. He simply can't help but admire her sweet angelic face, her tired-looking little eyes, the thin, shiny layer of lip balm covering her lips that he would dream of kissing; he likes everything about her and cannot help but smile foolishly.
“Hey Y/n,” he whispers, catching her attention. “Me and the boys are throwing a party friday night, you should come.”
“Oh, yeah, of course!” she smiles at him, noticing his blushing cheeks and the little spark in his gaze.
“Great! Good luck on your exam.”
“Good luck to you too. I’ll see you friday.”
─── °• ❀ ───
The room goes from purple to blue, then from blue to pink, courtesy of the spotlights that change the colour of the room's luminosity along the rhythm of the music. The parties hosted by the university football team always do justice to their reputation, no matter what’s the occasion. It's not the first time she attends one, but it's the first time she’s been invited by the quarterback. Her mind did not stop playing back the memory of the little sparkle in the young man's eyes when she had accepted his invitation. Maybe it meant nothing, but a part of her wants to believe it didn't. Plus, she really needs to take her mind off things after receiving her mediocre grade from the last exam. She knew her teacher was strict, but not this strict.
As she makes her way through the dancing crowd, an arm slips around her naked shoulders, making her startles. She's used to being approached by boys at parties, but she hates it when they think they can do anything and touch her even if she doesn't want to. Looking up, she loosen up when she sees Drew's familiar face smirking at her and she's glad it's not a drunk who's asking her to blow him.
“I'm so glad you came,” he says to her as he hands her a red cup filled with beer. “How did your exam go?”
She pouts, taking a big sip of the golden liquid that tickles her throat.
“Really bad.”
“That sucks,” she raises an eyebrow at the boy as when he takes back the cup that he just gave her and drops it on the countertop behind him. “C’mon, I have the perfect remedy for a bad grade.”
Drew takes her tiny hand into his big one, guiding her to the backyard where several tables are set up to play beer pong. Small lights illuminate the yard where games have already started. People cheer each other up and yell like crazy when someone manage to get the ball in a cup. She recognizes Rudy’s familiar blond hair when he jumps into Jonathan's arms and she deduces they just won their game against Madison and Austin. Everyone laughs when the two boys lose their balance and crash into the grass, grunting at each other. Her hand is still holding Drew's firmly when he walks up to Chase who is sitting in a chair close to the fire pit with his girlfriend on his lap, grilling and eating marshmallows.
“Yo Chase! Me and Y/n vs Maddie and you?” Drew challenges his friend, wiggling his eyebrows.
“Game on, baby!” Chase exclaims as they both stand up and follow them to the table.
She and Drew make a fire team, throwing a series of winning shots and gradually getting Madelyn and Chase drunk. All the way through the game, she never worries about her bad grade, it's like it never existed. The alcohol in her bloodstream seems to be opening her eyes to Drew's attractiveness. The girl never really paid attention to how he is totally her type of guy. She bites her lower lip, obviously checking him out when he pulls off his hoodie and his shirt comes up, revealing the prominent V-shape above the hem of his pants.
“Like what you see, don't ya?” he teases the girl, an irresistible smile on the corner of his lips.
She blushes up to her ears, making Drew laugh, and he just adds to her embarrassment by putting his arm around her shoulders before throwing the last ball who lands directly into the last standing cup. Maybe it's the emotion of the moment for her, whereas he's been dreaming about it for months, but their eyes meet each other and suddenly their lips collide. The kiss doesn't last long, not long enough in his opinion. The flight of butterflies in the young woman's belly doesn't disappear when their lips separate, she needs to kiss him again, to feel him touch her.
“I need you, Drew.” she whines close to his ear, making his heart skips a beat. "God, Y/n," he breaths out, pulling her closer to him. "Do you know how long I've been dreaming about you saying that to me?”
She just winks at him and grabs his hand, pulling him toward the front door as he pinches himself on the arm, not believing that this is really happening. He throws a murderous look at Rudy and Chase who make fun of him by pretending to make out sensually. They pass through the living room which is still full of people swinging their bodies to the rhythm of the music and climb upstairs where Drew guides them to his room. He slams her against the door, his hands grabbing her hips as he kisses her again. She bites his lower lip, making him growl against her mouth. Drew starts to place open mouthed kisses on her neck and she tiltes it to give him full access to her burning skin. He leads her to the bed, pinning her on the mattress and he removes her short as he is now hovering over her half naked body. His hand slides down her thigh, making her squirm under him as he gets closer to her core. He plays with the waistband of her panties, smirking against her lips.
“Drew,” she moans, looking at him with her eyes filled with desire. He grabs her waist and flip them over so she is now straddling him. She unbuttons his khaki shirt, slipping his hands over his muscular chest. She starts to grind down on his lap, making him whine and dig his fingers into her buttcheeks
“It's not about me tonight, I'm not the one who needs to be distracted.” he whispers to her ear before  flipping her over again so that he is now hovering over her.
She lets out a few muffled moans as he leaves a trail of kisses between her breast and on her stomach. He sucks and nibbles at the skin on her inner thighs, only increasing her desire to feel him on her already wet womanhood.
“You’re so pretty, all wet and spread out like this, just for me.”
“Drew, please…” she begs, but he cuts her short by placing a kiss on her clit, slipping her underwear off. He places an open-mouthed kiss just above her wet folds, making her buck her hips up.
“So eager, baby, I like it.” he hums just above her bundle of nerves, sending vibrations on it. She runs her fingers through his light brown hair, pushing him closer to her heat. He finally licks a full stripe through her folds, making her back arch to the so desired feeling.
“Oh fuck,” she groans as he inserts one finger in her, his tongue sucking on her clit. His hands are  firmly wrapped around her thighs to keep her spread open for him. She clenches the sheets between her fists, her eyes close under the wave of pleasure that runs through her body when he replaces his fingers with his tongue. His nose rubs up against her clit as he moves his face, pumping his tongue in and out of her.
“Fuck I’m so close, please don’t stop,” she moans, making him pumps his tongue faster. A few profanities mixed with loud moans leave her lips as she reaches her high, legs shaking on his shoulders. He licks her folds a few more times to clean her up, sending electric jolts through her body when he touches her sensitive nerves from the orgasm. He lies down beside her, pulling her towards him with his arms wrapped around her body.
“What about you? I’m no the type of girl who doesn’t give back,” she starts but Drew shushes her with a quick kiss. “I’m sure you’re not, but tonight it’s about you and only you.”
“Fuck, you’re perfect, y’a know?”
“It was about time you figured that out!” he mocks her and she giggles, burying her face further into the crook of his neck.

The Lovestruck~Chapter 3
Tumblr media
(27 November )
8:15 am
"Is Ria Noona giving us a ride again?" Daniel asked as you both walked out of your house.
"No, this noona." You pointed at yourself smiling while daniel's face dropped. "Seriously?"
"What? I know how to drive okay."
"Yeah and you know how to cause an accident too."
You glared at him. "Oh shut up."
You both got in your dad's car and buckled your seatbelt before glancing at him to see his eyes closed and clutching the seatbelt tightly.
"Seriously?" You scoffed giving him a look before letting out a sigh while turning on the engine and started driving but accidentally pressed the brake causing you both jerk forward.
"Sorry. Are you okay?"
"We're gonna rent a driver from tomorrow." Daniel said as he came out of shock still clutching his seat belt.
"Right." You nodded still shocked but then start the car again with a trembling heart and drove off.
You dropped Daniel off to his school where he told you to not cause an accident on your way.
You reached your college and stopped the car but then looked around to see if there is any other car for you not to crash on that since you were going to park your car.
Then you felt relieved as you saw your best friend coming towards you but then you glared at her as she started laughing.
"You drove?" She asked controlling her laugh and you rolled you eyes. "Shut up and help me park the car."
You got out of the car and she parked your car smoothly, unlike you crashing into others.
"How are you still bad at driving?" She asked you and got a glare in return as you both walked down the hallway.
"Ugh! that's because, i haven't been practicing." You both entered in your class.
"So you're gonna drive for whole a week?"
"No, after today dan's not gonna let me, so we're renting a driver." You told her and she burst out laughing.
You rolled your eyes. "Stop laughing!"

10:34 am
"Okay, 1 2 3!" Lay played his guitar, Jongdae and Baekhyun started huming some songs while Chanyeol, the boy's drumbeat echoed in the whole music room.
Sehun and Jongin were making their choreography while Minseok was seated on the chair, tapping his feet on the floor and Junmyeon was busy on his phone.
Kyungsoo entered the music room after his class and everyone stopped whatever they were doing.
"We were waiting for you since this birthday boy is treating us." Junmyeon smiled gesturing towards him and chanyeol made a background music by his drumbeat then everyone cheered for him.
"Right!" Jongdae highfived him and Chanyeol frowned. "It's seems like you were waiting for my birthday since the month has started."
"Well, it's not 100 percent wrong tho." Baekhyun grinned playfully.
"Junmyeon hyung treat us dinner." Sehun interuppted making the latter surprise.
"Why me? It's Chanyeol's birthday though!"
"Just buy it. He's treating us lunch."
Junmyeon groaned. "I'll buy you all dinner."
Everyone cheered so loudly that other students were peeking inside while passing by thinking if something happend but it was just a treat.

11:18 am
"What's going on?" You asked Ria as you saw some girls were whispering and sqealing before you both seated yourself in the cafeteria.
"You don't know? Today is Chanyeol Sunbae's birthday." She told you eyeing every girl and you nodded in understanding as why they had gift box and cards in their hands.
"But there are so many girls tho, how will they give it to him?" You asked her confusingly.
"They'll just put it in the music room where they spend most of their time." She munched her food and you nodded.
"What's happening?" Mark asked confusingly sitting across of you and Ria explained him.
"Are they that popular?" He asked her.
"Not that, very much." She smiled adoringly and you chuckled at her.
Then her phone buzzed and checking the caller ID, she quickly stood up while you looked at her confusingly. "What happend?"
"Uh, i have to go somewhere." She smiled nervously and excitedly making you worry somehow. "Is everything okay? Where are you going?"
"Yep! i'll tell you later, it's a surprise." She winked and stormed out of the cafeteria before giving back her tray.
"Is she okay?" Mark asked and you just shrugged before eating again.
TIME SKIP...
Ria was walking down the hallway happily, on her way to you after she did her surprise work but stopped when she stepped on something. Frowning, she moved away her foot and saw a card, she picked it up to see, it was a birthday card for Chanyeol.
"Oh? Someone must've dropped it." She muttered and looked around to see only some boys were going back and forth.
The music room was in the corner, so she decided to put it there since whoever's card is this, she must have put it there too.
As she reached there, she peeked inside first if there was anyone but sighed in relief as no one was inside. She opened the door slowly as she walked inside and gasped seeing bunch of cards and gift boxes on the table.
"Is Chanyeol Sunbae gonna read them all?" She mumbled looking at the cards in surprise.
"Ah the card." She put the card on the table in between other cards but then she heard the door opened and turned around.
A gasp escaped from her mouth as she saw Chanyeol standing there with his surprised face and his doe eyes staring at her. Ria just stood there stunned, she has always seen him from far while passing by but this is the first she's seeing him this close so, she didn't know what to do.
"Um what are you doing here?" Chanyeol asked her confusingly as he has never seen her here before.
"Uh i, actually.." she stammered, her heart was pounding as he stood infront of her.
Chanyeol looked at the table filled with cards and gifts, then he looked at her. "Oh you were leaving a card?"
Ria nodded slowly but then shook her head. "Uh but um it's not mine, i actually found it dropped so."
She exhaled nervously with her cheeks were flushed and Chanyeol's corner of lips turned up at her nervous state and her blushing face which he found cute.
"Okay." He nodded while smiling at her as he grabbed his phone from the other table beside the drum then went out sparing her last glance with a smile.
"What are you smiling about?" Yixing asked him as he aproached his friends but Chanyeol just shook his head and went out of the campus.
"What just happened?" Ria muttered looking towards the door after Chanyeol went out. She touched her burning cheeks and then inhale and exhale slowly making her speedy heart normal.
"No no, I have to tell Y/n about this." With that she dashed off from the music room to you.
You were outside in the garden by the campus, sitting on stairs looking up the cloudy sky and the weather is getting more colder after the rain yesterday.
You kept sniffling as you always do whenever it's cold before you pulled your jacket closer to you and then your phone buzzed while pulling it out you saw Ria's message.
Dragon- Y/n where are you?!!
You- garden.
Dragon- oks i'll be there!
You put your phone back in your jacket pocket and after five minutes you heard your name being called out loud as you looked at the direction of the voice to see Ria jogging to your direction.
"Y/n!" She was breathing heavly as she aproached you as you looked at her quizically before taking out your water bottle from your bag and gave it to her.
"Thanks!" She took it and sat beside you.
"What happened to you? Is this the surprise you were talking about?"
She shook her head after gulping down her water. "I saw Chanyeol Sunbae!"
You looked at her in surprise. "What? How?"
"In the music room."
You frowned. "Music room? What were you doing there?"
She faced you. "Actually someone dropped his birthday card, so i went in to put it there, but as soon as i put the card on the table, the door swung open and BHAM!" She shouted and your body jumped.
"There was standing our handsome Chanyeol sunbae looking good as always." She smiled cupping her cheeks and you shook your head.
"We had an eye contact like we see in kdramas and then he slowly aproached me just like we see in kdramas." She told in a dramatic way and you just gave her a look.
"And?" You asked getting impatient from her drama.
"And then he grabbed his phone and left." She said casually and you gave her a done face.
"That's it?" You scoffed. "I thought something big happened like how you were running."
"It is big! He was standing right infront of me! And his smile!" She squealed, her eyes twinkling.
You sighed and stood up. "I'm going to eat something!"
"Yah! How can you eat without me! Wait for me!" She jogged, catching up to you but you didn't let her as you ran quickly ahead of her while giggling.

2:49 pm
You smiled at rose as she played your favorite song, talk love by kwill from your favourite Kdrama Descendants of the sun. She winked at you since it's her favourite too and Song Joongki both of your favourite actor.
"Did you watched the last episode?" Rose asked and you nodded. "Yes! Ria and i watched it together yesterday."
"I'm so sad that the drama is finished." She pouted and you made a sad before she sighed. "Seriously, i really want to see Big Boss."
"Me too!"
"Who is big boss?" Baekhyun asked, standing beside you after giving the drink to the customer.
"Um, he is a soldier." You answered with serious face but Rose's snicker made you laugh and baekhyun was looking at you both innocently.
"She's joking!" Rose laughed. "He's an actor and his character name is Big Boss."
Baekhyun nodded and playfully glared at you as you gave him a guilty smile."You're really pulling my leg?"
"You did it too yesterday." You shrugged and then smiled looking away.
"Right." He grinned nodding. "By the way, did you change the bulb?"
"No, you changed it." You replied, looking at the bulb and he chuckled. "I mean, you're washroom's bulb."
"My washro-wait, how do you know?"
"I heard you shouting, i didn't know you can shout so well." He joked and you looked away getting embarrassed.
He chuckled. "It's cute."
"What's cute?" You asked confusingly.
"Daniel and your bickering, it's cute." He smiled and greeted a customer.
You nodded while smiling. "I don't know about cute but he does worry about me even though he doesn't show it but i know it."
"What about you and your brother?" You asked but looking at his blank expressions, you were wondered if you were prying too much but then you saw his smile.
"Of course it's good, we don't bicker like you both." he trailed off to look at you to see your eyes frowning at him and he chuckled. "I'm not saying yours is bad but we just don't really have fight-like relationship."
He sighed. "But i have been too busy these days to meet him."
"Then meet him when you get time. "You paused when he you saw his confused face and you chuckled looking away. "I mean even though they don't say it but your family do miss you and they don't tell you because they don't wanna bother you at your work however, you should meet them since you never know when you get the chance."
Baekhyun was staring at you intently, listening attentively and sensing his stare you looked up at him confusingly and met his intent gaze which caused your cheeks to heat up.
You looked away and gasped realizing. "I said too much, didn't i?"
He shook his head smiling. "No, you didn't."
"I really wasn't lecturing you, it's just.. nevermind." You shook your head and went to give the drink to customer at the table.
Baekhyun's corner of lips turned up watching you going as your words had an impact and he didn't know that he needed them until now.
"Since when were you so talkative y/n!" You muttered, slightly hitting your forehead and went back to the counter.
"Good afternoon rose!"
You heard a familiar voice and looked at the door to see Ria smiling at Rose and then coming towards the counter.
"What are you doing here?" You mouthed her and she just winked at you before ordering her drink and sat on one of the tables.
"Is she your friend?" Baekhyun asked you and you nodded while preparing her drink.
Of course, he doesn't know it since she only came here two times before Baekhyun started working here. First she wanted to see the cafe and second time she chit-chatted with rose.
You glanced at her to see her staring at baekhyun with smile.
"I'll give this to her." You took her drink and went to her before squinting your eyes at her while putting her drink on the table.
"You ungrateful brat." She glared at you and you frowned. "What? What did i do?"
"First, sit here." She pointed at the chair across of her.
"I'm working right now." You turned back to walk but she held your wrist.
"Rose! Can i talk to her for a minute please?" She pleaded and Rose nodded.
Ria looked at you. "Okay? Now sit."
"Tell me!" You sat down across of her and she opened her purse before pulling out something.
"Ta-da~." She smiled waving the tickets.
You frowned. "Movie tickets?"
She clicked her tongue. "No silly, these are for the basketball game, our seniors are having a game tomorrow."
She placed her elbow on the table and her chin on her palm as she stared at Baekhyun. "And Baekhyun sunbae is also gonna play."
"But I have heard, it's difficult to get tickets like it's always soldout so how did you got it?" You asked her.
"Wow! Y/n knows about ticketing!" She said in a sarcastic way and you rolled your eyes.
"Don't worry, I have my ways!" She smirked flipping her hair and then suddenly sat up straight.
Your eyebrows knitted. "What happened?"
"I think I locked eyes with Baekhyun sunbae." She whispered and you chuckled looking at her condition.
"Seriously girl! How can you even stand beside him? When I can't even make an eyecontact!" She puffed, taking a sip from her coffee and you shrugged. "Because I'm only focusing on my work besides, we don't even talk that much."
"Yeah right! He walked you home and I saw you two talking before I came inside," she sipped her drink before speaking. "yeah, you don't really talk."
You pursed your lips thinking that you two have been talking more lately and Ria saw you zoning out as she snapped her fingers infont of you.
You snapped out. "Uh, what?"
"What are spacing out for? Thinking about Baekhyun Sunbae?" She wiggled her eyebrows and you slapped her arm.
She laughed. "Okay joking aside, i'm still amazed you haven't told him that you both go to same college."
"What do you want me to say to him? That hi we're both from same college and you're my senior." You spoke in sarcastic tone which made her laugh.
"And he never mentions about his college so, i also don't ask him and it's our workplace so i'm just gonna focus on that." You nodded, satisfied by your words.
"You both took more than one minute." You both looked up, hearing the voice and saw Rose standing beside your table with her hands on her hips.
"Oh sorry! She just talks too much." You immediately stood up and Ria glared at you.
"Should I cut off your pay?" She joked, pinching your cheek.
"Cut off my pay instead." Ria interuppted standing up and you frowned. "But you don't work here."
"I can work here."
"When?" Rose asked.
"Someday." She grinned playfully, earning a chuckle from Rose while rolled your eyes. "Rose just ignore her."
"Yah! I'm helping you." Ria put her hands on her waist and You nodded lazily. "Sure."
Rose chuckled."Okay enough you two and get back to work!"
With that she went to the counter and ria sat down again as you looked at her quzzically. "Aren't you going home?"
"I'm not ungrateful like you," she looked at you and then at counter. "I'm gonna admire Baekhyun Bunbae a little more."
You shook you head before smacking her forehead. "Go home!"

7:23 pm
You were wiping the table by the window, after Ria and other customers left while Rose was in the kitchen washing the dishes with Baekhyun who was helping her putting the cups in the cup shelf.
After you were done, you attempted to take off your apron but heard a knock on the glass window before looking there to see your one and only brother waving at you.
"Hey potato." He said as he entered and you frowned. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to get you." He replied, looking around the Café and then Baekhyun came out of the kitchen with rose.
"Hey Daniel!" Baekhyun smiled and daniel grinned back.
"You really came to get me?" You asked suprisingly.
He nodded. "Baekhyun hyung told me to."
You scoffed. "So you came here because he asked you to?"
He nodded and you rolled your eyes while Baekhyun chuckled watching you two bicker again.
"Who is he?" Rose asked.
"He's my brother Daniel and Dan, she's Rose, this Cafés owner." You introduced them.
"Hello." Daniel did a little bow and Rose just smiled. "Your brother is cute."
"From where?" You looked at her confusingly and got a glare from daniel as Rose chuckled. "What are you saying? He is cute and handsome right, Baekhyun?"
"Of course he is." He smiled and Daniel just waved it off getting embarrassed and you just shook your head not wanting to see this.
You went to the counter while taking off your apron as Baekhyun and Rose were doing the same since it was time to close the Café.
"Hyung, do you play games?" Daniel asked Baekhyun, who was picking up his bag nodded. "Yes and from seeing your expression, you also do right?"
Daniel nodded smiling. "Yes! Hyung let's play someday."
"Sure! Whenever you want." Baekhyun answered him smiling while wearing his jacket.
You were just watching them in a weird expression and seeing dlDaniel getting along well with Baekhyun was new as he rarely gets along with people whom he meets first time. You quickly wore your jacket and opened your hair before standing beside daniel.
"If you're done with your meeting, can we go now?" You cocked your head at daniel and he rolled his eyes.
Daniel and you walked out of the cafe, following baekhyun and rose. Then she turned to you. "Good night y/n, and Daniel you should come again sometimes."
He nodded. "Yes, I will."
"Of course, let's meet again and have a match." Baekhyun intruded.
"I would love to." Daniel beamed and you looked at him frowning.
Rose sighed. "Boys will be boys."
"I know right." You chuckled as you looked at Baekhyun. "And I didn't know you also play games."
He shrugged. "Anyway I have to go somewhere so, I'll take my leave then."
You all nodded and he went his way, before bidding goodbye while Rose also drove off in her car before you looked at Daniel. "Shall we go now, your highness?"
"What are you waiting for then?" He walked ahead and you rolled your eyes before catching up with him.
***
7:51 pm
Entering his shared home, Baekhyun dashed off in his room without sparing a glance to his friends and they all looked at him and then exchanged looks in confusion.
After 15 minutes, he came out of his room in changed clothes, his hair slighly wet and he went straight to the kitchen.
"Are you going somewhere?" Junmyeon asked him from the living room and Baekhyun nodded. "I'm visiting home."
"Is everything okay?" Minseok asked.
"Yeah, it's just been a while since i've seen them." Baekhyun made his way to the living room.
"You're right, they must be missing you." Kyungsoo spoke.
"But who changed your stubborn mind, huh?" Jongdae asked and Baekhyun looked at him blankly before a smile crept on his lips as you crossed his mind. "A cheerful person."
"So it's not what, but someone huh." Jongdae smirked at him after noticing his smile.
"Ooh, love is in the air~." Chanyeol sang and Baekhyun threw a pillow at him but he dodged it so, it hit kyungsoo's face which made everyone burst out laughing.
Kyungsoo grabbed the pillow and threw it towards laughing chanyeol and he fell off the couch making everyone laugh harder.
"I'm going then." Baekhyun made his way to the door still laughing.
***
Baekhyun was standing infront of his house with a heavy heart as he sighed deeply before opening the door and went inside.
As he entered, his eyes roamed around the house and spotted his mom in the living room with his brother and his wife.
He walked in the living room and his pet Mongryong jumped on him where he squat down to hug him and hearing some voices Baekhyun's mom turned around.
"Hyun-ah!" She exclaimed, hugging him tightly and he hugged back smiling at how much he missed her. He pulled away and did a fistbump with his brother and greeted his sister-in-law.
"Where is dad?" He asked.
"He went on a business trip." His brother answered and for a second Baekhyun felt relieved as he didn't wanted to face him yet after that day.
"How are you? Are you taking care of yourself?" His mom asked him as they sat on the couch.
"Of course I am, but mom you said you missed me but it doesn't look like that." Baekhyun joked, looking at her and she smacked his arm.
"You just came and started pulling my leg." She pulled his ear and he yelped.
"Mom! It hurts! Sorry!" He whined and she let go then they all laughed.
"Uncle!" Baekhyun's head turned towards the voice and saw his nephew and niece running up to him and hugged him.
The home turned into a chaos as Baekhyun started playing with the kids and then had dinner together while joking and laughing.
Baekhyun was so happy that he came today, it's been a while since he had a great time with his family and that was all because of your words which he was so thankful for. While thinking about you, a smile was spread on his face and his brother noticed it.
"Did something good happened?" He asked him as he sat beside him on the couch and Baekhyun snapped out. "Oh? Nothing."
He stood up and his brother gave him a confuse look. "Where are you going?"
"I have to go back, tomorrow is our match." He replied.
"Stay here a little longer." Mrs Byun requested.
"I would've stayed, if I didn't had a game tomorrow." He grabbed his jacket and wore it before walking to the door as his mom and brother walked him out.
"Okay then, take care and come again soon, hm?" His mom asked and he nodded before hugging her.
"Wish Chanyeol on behalf of me." She said.
"Oh you remembered?" Baekhyun asked, smiling and nodded before, waving them bye and drove off with a joyful feeling inside.

“We never should have gone to that hot pot restaurant,” you sigh as you place your phone down in your lap.
“I didn’t think their food was that bad,” Jaebum replies from beside you. You turn to him with a disapproving expression that quickly shatters into a grin when you make eye contact.
“You know what I’m talking about,” you nudge his arm at his widening smile. You let out a short chuckle but fall silent as your mind returns to what you had just been reading. Seeing the worry on your face, Jaebum grows serious.
“More articles are coming out, huh?”
“People are going crazy,” you show him the latest comments on your phone, “Jisoo and Wonwoo have been trending for the whole afternoon. All because of these rumors.”
“You know how it goes,” Jaebum offers some encouragement, “Everyone will forget about it by tomorrow morning.”
“Tell that to Ms. Kim. She’s already asked us to come in for a ‘chat’. I’m going to get an earful and then some.”
Before Jaebum can reply, the door the two of you are sitting next to opens. Jisoo steps out of the practice room followed by her vocal coach, a slightly older woman who is speaking enthusiastically.
“Jihoon is one of the biggest producers right now. You’re so lucky to be working with him,” she gushes.
“Oh really?” Jisoo attempts to inject a modicum of interest in her voice, but you can tell by her expression that she’s losing her will to be polite, “I don’t follow the music industry so I don’t know his work.”
The other woman clucks her tongue and a wistful expression comes over her face.
“The opportunity is wasted on you. I should have gone into acting, then maybe I’d have a shot at a singing career,” she pushes out a harsh laugh and motions in your direction, “Better yet, I should have become a manager. Then I’d get to meet all kinds of celebrities just by driving someone around a couple hours a day.”
Yeah, it’s so great my film degree didn’t work out. The words almost tumble out of your mouth, but you catch yourself.
“It’s a pretty sweet deal,” you reply instead with an awkward laugh.
“Yup, she’s my glorified chauffeur,” the sarcasm behind Jisoo’s comment does not register with the older woman as she lets out another round of laughter. You, Jisoo, and Jaebum all exchange glances as her outburst goes on for a bit too long.
“But you know,” her tone becomes serious as she regains her composure, “would it be too much trouble to pass him my demo when you’re in the studio?”
“I’ll see what I can do,” Jisoo places a hand on the woman’s shoulder as a farewell and begins to walk down the hall swiftly. You and Jaebum bid her goodbye as you follow close behind.
“By the way, Jisoo!” she calls from down the hall as you wait in front of the elevator, “Why don’t you bring Wonwoo around next time?”
“Isn’t there another vocal coach in this city?” Jisoo mumbles as the elevator doors open.
Tumblr media
Jisoo has already started her tirade as you put the keys in the ignition.
“In the first place, why am I even featuring on this track? Whose idea was it to put that in my contract? And second of all, how much free time does the company think I have anyway? Making me spend two hours a week with that horrible gossip. All she has me do is run scales half the time and the other half she’s asking for an autograph from this actor or that singer. Wasting my time. It’s not that hard to string a couple notes together in the studio.”
“Oh, is it not? Someone should let Park Hyoshin and Sohyang know.”
Your joke breaks Jisoo out of her ranting mode as one corner of her mouth sneaks up.
“I know it’s shitty, but it’s not worth it to get worked up because of that woman,” you reason with her as you merge onto the main road, “If that’s how she copes with the disappointment of never fulfilling her dreams, shouldn’t we let her have that much?”
A brief silence falls over the car and your heart clenches as you realize what you’ve just said.
“Damn. You really said it.” Jisoo says in an appreciative yet slightly shocked tone while Jaebum lets out an extended “ohhh” behind his hand.
At their reactions, you mentally kick yourself for managing to put your foot in your mouth yet again. You quickly back track.
“No, no. I didn’t mean it like that. I just meant…Really, I-”
Jisoo stops your floundering with a knowing wave of her hand.
“We know,” she reassures you, “I’m sure you meant it to be empathetic, in your own twisted way.”
“You don’t have to call it ‘twisted’…” you mutter but relief quickly washes over you at her words of understanding.
“I don’t know why you try so hard to be agreeable. I think you’re much better this way.” She makes the comment absently while looking out the window.
“You’re unique in many ways, Jisoo.” you tease.
“Oh, but I wish I could be there the day someone lets her have it. She will literally implode.”
“I don’t know if I’d wish that on her.”
“Always the pacifist.” Jisoo says in mock disapproval.
“Some people would say Y/N knows to pick her battles.” Jaebum chimes in and you wave an approving finger in his direction.
“I’m saving my energy for the lovely conversation we’ve been called in to have.”
“God, don’t tell me we’ve finally been summoned by Ms. Kim,” Jisoo cries out in exasperation, “Why do we have to get dragged out because people can’t keep their minds from going crazy with wild fantasies? What’s she going to tell me, anyway? I shouldn’t go out to eat because you never know if you’ll happen to run into another actor?”
You and Jaebum brace for the incoming spew of words and frustration.
“In the first place, what’s the big deal? So we ate at the same restaurant. Who cares? People eat at the same restaurant all the time. There were dozens of other people at the place, too. Am I dating all of them?”
“The rumors started more from the fact it happened three times. Within a month.” Jisoo dismisses Jaebum’s words with a flick of her wrist.
“Also because you’re about to shoot a movie together. Literally tomorrow.”
“Even if we were dating, what’s so interesting about that? It’s my business and it doesn’t belong on the front page of a trashy website that mistakes click bait for journalism.”
“In a way, she should be grateful you and your new movie are getting this much media play already,” you ponder as you pull into a space in the company parking lot.
“Any publicity is good publicity.” Jaebum offers as you unclick your seatbelts.
“Let’s get this over with.” You sigh as you head towards the imposing concrete building.
Tumblr media
“She’ll see you now.” Ms. Kim’s assistant walks up to where you had been waiting in the lobby. She motions for you and Jisoo to follow her.
“You can wait here.” She speaks to Jaebum who remains seated.
Her heels click neatly against the perfectly white tiles as she leads you to the main office on the floor. She swings the glass door shut behind you as you enter the pristine room.
Ms. Kim is sitting at her desk with a document in hand. She doesn’t look up, but motions for you two to sit in the metal chairs on the other side of the table. The room is thick with silence aside from the occasional rustling of sheets as she turns a page. You’re examining a twisted glass statue on her bookshelf when Ms. Kim finally places the papers down. She clasps her hands together on the table and slowly turns her gaze up towards you and Jisoo.
“We’ll release an official statement in a few days,” she delivers the edict emotionlessly.
“A few days?” you repeat in confusion, “Don’t we want to stop this before things get out of hand?”
“And why would we want to do that?”
“Because” Jisoo seems shocked she has to clarify this point, “Jeon Wonwoo and I are not dating.”
“Well, now you are.”
You both know the severe woman before you is not the joking type, but Jisoo snorts a disbelieving laugh anyway. You’re met with impassive eyes as the two of you wait several seconds for her to clarify or take it back.
“No.” Jisoo returns the woman’s icy stare, “This is absurd. Do you actually realize what you’re suggesting?”
“I do. And it’s not a suggestion.”
You sense Jisoo bristle at that statement.
“Just what makes you think I’ll go along with this insanely unethical plan of yours?”
“Don’t be naïve, Jisoo. You’ve been in the business long enough to know this is hardly uncommon.”
The two continue to lock stares across the table for several heated seconds. With a sickeningly fake smile contorting her face, Ms. Kim continues to speak.
“If you don’t like it, of course you have the right to break your contract. But I’m sure we’d all hate to see you tangled up in court for the next five, six years.”
You’re well aware her threats are not unfounded. Everyone had read the stories. An endless legal battle and a couple vicious rumors could end anyone’s career. And it would be all business as usual for Ms. Kim and the company.
At this point, you can practically feel Jisoo vibrating in the chair next to you, her temper about to boil over. You had seen her mad, but never like this.
She had trekked a long path to get to where she is now, but you sense she could be capable of turning her back on it all just to throw it in the publicist’s face. When she inhales sharply, you jump to cut her off.
“What do we need to do?”
Ms. Kim keeps her gaze fixed on Jisoo a moment longer before giving you a quick glance. Her eyes linger less than a second before she begins shuffling through the papers on her desk.
“We’ll be in touch with more information. You may go.”
“Ok. Thank you.” You stand up in a hurry but Jisoo stays put, fists clenched tight in her lap.
“Jisoo,” you whisper tentatively, “let’s go.”
Her eyes are daring the woman seated across the table to acknowledge her. Having said her piece and gotten the desired response, it’s like the two of you no longer exist to Ms. Kim who continues to review the documents before her.
“Jisoo,” you place a hand on her shoulder, “There’s nothing we can do right now. We need to leave.”
Jisoo could probably sit there all night, she’s stubborn enough. But instead she slowly releases the tension in her body with a shaky exhale before rising to her feet. Her mouth remains pulled into a deep frown as she stomps out of the room in silence.

Wardrobe Guru–Dylan O’Brien
Tumblr media
Masterlist
"Where's our wardrobe guru?" Wes asked, looking around. "There she is!" He smiled, pointing at me.
"I'm here. I'm here," I sighed. "What's up?"
"We have a slight problem with Kaya's white scientist coat," Wes explained as Kaya walked over. She lifted her arm and I instantly noticed the rip down the side.
"Yeah," I laughed. "I can see that. Here, take it off and I can fix it." She did as I said and handed it over.
"Thanks, Y/N," she smiled.
"No problem. Just give me like three minutes."
"Three minutes? Really?" Wes asked with a laugh.
"Yeah," I shrugged. "It looks like the rip is right at the seam. All I have to do is unstitch a little further and sew it back up. Simple."
"And that's why you were hired," he smirked.
"Actually, it's because you know my family and owed my dad a favor," I joked as I walked backwards.
I gasped when I bumped into someone. I turned around my cheeks burning when I saw Dylan smiling at me. "Sorry," I stuttered."
"No worries," he chuckled. I nodded before quickly turning around and heading back to the costume trailer.
Once I got there, I undid a little of the seam before restitching Kaya's coat. When it was finished, I took it and headed back to set.
"That was fast!" Wes smiled as I walked over.
"I told you," I shrugged. "It wasn't too bad of a tare to begin with."
"Glad to hear," he chuckled. "Kaya is over getting ready for the scene." I sent him a thumbs up as I walked over to her.
"Ugh, you are amazing," she cheered. I laughed as I helped her put it on.
"How does that feel? Too tight? Too loose?" I asked as I inspected the seam. "More importantly, can you still move it in?"
"Y/N," she giggled. "It's perfect."
"Good." I let out a sigh of relief as I straightened it out.
"Looks good, Y/N." Dylan walked over and gave me a high five.
"Thanks," I smiled, feeling my cheeks begin to burn. I quickly turned around before he noticed. When I did, I saw Kaya smirking at me.
"What?" I asked, trying to sound innocent.
"Nothing," she laughed. She started to leave but stopped. She leaned in and whispered, "You should tell him."
"What?" I pulled away, stuttering. She winked, sending me a knowing look before walking off towards the hair and makeup trailer. I blew my hair out of my face and turned around, heading back to the costume trailer.
"Wait, Y/N! Come back!" I stopped and turned around with a laugh when I saw Wes trying to catch me.
"Yes?" I laughed.
"Will you help the boys with their guard uniforms? Specifically the masks?" He asked as he pointed towards set.
I sent him a playful salute as I walked over to where Dylan, Thomas, and Will were getting ready for their next scene.
"Y/L/N!!!"
I laughed as Will ran up, wrapped me in a hug, picking me off my feet, and spun me around.
"Alright," I laughed. I sighed as he finally put me down. "Nice to see you too, Will."
"Y/N?" Thomas said, walking towards me with the ski/guard mask in his hand. "Would you mind helping me with this?"
"Of course," I said, taking the mask from him. I stretched it out and positioned it on my hands so it would be easier to slip over his head. Without any problems or accidental injuries, I got the mask positioned correctly on his head.
"Thanks," Thomas smiled at me. I nodded, smiling back. I looked over my shoulder at Will and walked over to help him reposition his mask.
"I don't know why Wes was so worried you guys wouldn't be able to. . ." Before I could finish my sentence, Dylan cleared his throat.
"Ummm, Y/N?" I turned around and covered my mouth when I saw Dylan struggling to put the guard mask over his face.
"Guess I spoke too soon," I said softly, making Thomas and Will laugh. "Here," I laughed as I walked over to him. "Let me help you."
He had somehow put the mask on sideways, only half of his face being seen through the whole. I debated before just pulling the whole thing off.
"Thanks," he sighed. "Now I can breathe." I bit my bottom lip as I repositioned his mask correctly on his face.
"How does that feel?" I asked slowly as I pulled it down a little more and fixed the fabric above his eyes. "Is that okay?"
"Yep," he said popping the p. "Besides my ears being pressed to my head, feels good."
"It's supposed to feel like that," I laughed as I repositioned the seam so it wouldn't be seen. "Sorry," I playfully shrugged as I took a step back. I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear, my cheeks burning as he stared at me.
"I'll umm. . . I'll let you guys get back to work." Before they could say anything, I quickly turned on my heel and walked away.
I closed the trailer door, leaned my back against it and took a few much needed calming breaths.
"What is wrong with me?" I scolded myself. "Why do I always get so jittery around him? He's just a person. A talented, funny, sweet, gorgeous person."
I slowly slid down the door, my butt hitting the ground as I let out a defeated sigh. "I swear, that boy is going to be the death of me."
                       * * * * *
I'm not sure how filming was going. All I knew was I was super-focused on the garment I was sewing. I jumped when I heard a knock on the trailer door.
"Come in," I called out as I turned down the music I had playing. I bit my lip when Dylan walked in.
"Hey, Y/N."
"Oh," I cleared my throat. "Hey, Dylan. Is there something wrong with your costume?"
I stood up to check the guard uniform he was still wearing but stopped when he let out a small laugh.
"You know, there are other reasons why I would come see you."
"Really?" I joked. "Why?"
Dylan sent me a look as he sat on the stool I had people stand on when I measured them or fixed their outfit. "So, what do you need me to fix on your uniform?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest and smirking at him.
"I didn't come here for you to fix something on my. . ." He stopped talking when he saw the knowing look on my face. "Fine," he sighed. "The guys and I were hanging out on set. . ."
"Which means you guys were messing around and it went too far," I corrected, with a knowing smirk.
"Maybe," he elongated. "Anyway, the next thing I knew there was a crash, a fall, and a rip."
"Where?" I laughed.
"The shirt," he cringed. I shook my head, laughing, as I turned around to grab him a shirt to change into. I turned back towards him, sucking in a breath when I saw Dylan shirtless.
My cheeks burned as I struggled to look anywhere else but at his toned chest.
"Wow, American Assassin was good for you," I mumbled. My eyes widened when I realized that came out of my mouth. I quickly turned back around, pretending to busy myself.
"What was that?"
I let out a sigh of relief when he didn't hear what I said. "Umm. . . I asked where the rip was."
"It's along one of the pockets in the front."
I turned around, my eyes widening when I remembered he was shirtless. I opened and closed my mouth, unable to form words.
"Here," I stuttered when I finally found my voice. "You can wear this while I fix your shirt."
"Thanks." He sent me his show-stopping smile as he took the shirt from my hand. I smiled awkwardly before taking his shirt and walking over to my sewing machine.
I looked up, my eyes widening when I noticed Dylan still in the room. "Oh, umm. . . You don't have to stay. I can bring it to you when I'm done."
"I don't mind," he shrugged as he dragged a chair over to my sewing table. "Besides, I don't have another scene until later and I'd rather spend time with you than with the new interns who never seem to leave me alone."
"Wow, I'm honored." I joked, making him laugh. I felt my cheeks turn red as he stared at me. I cleared my throat before examining the rip.
The pocket on the left was hanging on by one side. I rummaged through my drawer and pulled out a seam ripper. I slowly began to cut through the remaining thread.
"What are you doing?" Dylan asked. I looked up to see him watching me.
"I'm taking off the pocket. The fabric was ripped so I'll need to sew a whole new pocket on." I explained.
"Oh," he said under his breath. "Sorry."
"For what?" I asked as I tossed the pocket into my box of scraps.
"For making you have to start all over."
"I don't have to start all over. I just need to cut and sew on another pocket. It'll take like, six minutes." I stopped talking when I noticed a weird look on his face. "What?" I asked.
"Nothing," he said with a small laugh as he shook his head. "It's just. . . You seem so confident with all of this stuff."
"Yeah, well, I didn't go to Fashion School for nothing." I cringed when that came off sounding weird.
"There's a fashion school?" He asked. I couldn't help but laugh as he tilted his head like a confused puppy.
"Yep," I said popping the p. "Just like there is an acting school. The one I went to is back in LA. It's the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising or FIDM."
"That's really cool. What did you major in?"
"Fashion Design and Theatre Costume Design."
"Both?" He asked. He followed me as I stood up and walked over to my walls of fabric. I got the one I used for their shirts and carried it over to the cutting table, Dylan still following me.
"Yeah," I said as I laid out about a 1/2 yard of the fabric. I smoothed it out as I added, "I doubled majored."
"What made you decide to double major?" He stood on the other side of the cutting table as I took the white pencil that I always kept behind my ear and drew out the size of the pocket onto the fabric.
I cleared my throat as I put the pencil back behind my ear. Why was he asking me all these questions? No one has ever taken this much interest in my schooling. Or even what I do. I'm usually just the costume girl.
That is until I started working on the Maze Runner movies. This was the first cast to interact with me more than just when they needed an alteration or a button resewn on. This cast actually talks to me.
Even though I've worked on these movies since the first one, the actors haven't actually sat down and watched me while I worked like Dylan was right now. It was nice. Weird, but nice.
"Well, I didn't plan on it at first. One day, the nearby high school's theatre department came to some of the higher up Fashion Design classes and asked for a few volunteers to help with their theatre production. I had some extra time and the school was willing to pay, so I decided why not? I ended up really enjoying making the crazy costumes and watching the students perform in them."
I looked up at him, scissors in hand, to see him watching me with a small smile on his face. I quickly went back to cutting out the pocket, hoping to hide my red cheeks.
I set the cutout piece of fabric to the side and carefully rewrapped the large spool of fabric. I was about to carry it back to the shelf when Dylan jumped up and stood in front of me. Without a word and a smile on his face, he grabbed the fabric from me and walked over to the shelf.
"That's really cool, Y/N." He said as he put the fabric back. "How come you went to a trade school instead of a normal university?" His eyes widened as he turned back towards me within wide eyes. He quickly added, "Not that I'm judging or anything. I'm just curious."
"Well," I said, wiping my suddenly clammy hands on my jean shorts. "I took a sewing class in high school and really fell in love with it. Plus, I've never wanted to spend my life sitting behind a desk or in some boring job where I can't be creative."
I bit my bottom lip when I saw the strange way he was looking at me. "Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked softly before I could stop myself.
"I just. . . You really love your job, don't you?"
"Of course I do," I said. "Don't you?"
"Yeah," he shrugged. "I just. . . There's something about the way you talk about what you do. It's nice."
I didn't know what to say so I just smiled. I grabbed the piece of fabric and walked over to my sewing machine. I laid out his shirt and grabbed my pincushion. I smoothed out the fabric before putting the new pocket where it was meant to go. I tried to ignore Dylan's presence as I pinned the pocket into place.
"You're really good at this," he whispered. I jumped at his voice suddenly behind me. When I jumped, I pushed the pin too far, making it go into my finger. I sucked in a breath and bit my lip.
"Oh shit," Dylan mumbled. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," I said. I looked at my finger and sighed. "It's nothing," I started to say, but he grabbed my hand and started examining my thumb.
"Really, Dylan, it's nothing." I tried to reassure him as he looked up at me, still holding my hand in his. "I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally pricked myself."
We stood like that, close together, him holding my hand, neither one of us saying anything. When I realized how long we had been standing like that, I gently pulled my hand out of his grasp and turned back to my sewing machine. I sat down and started sewing the pocket in place.
"There," I said as I cut off the excess thread.  "All finished."
I stood up to hand him his shirt but gasped as I instantly bumped into him. My cheeks burned when I noticed my hands were pressed to his bare chest. He looked down at me, not saying anything.
"Y/N?" He whispered. Knowing my voice would fail me, I simply hummed. I sucked in a breath as he reached up and tucked a piece of hair behind my ear, his hand lingering on my cheek.
My breath quickened as he leaned down, my heart jumping into my throat as I felt his lips gently press against my own. After a little hesitation, my eyes fluttered closed and I started kissing him back. He let go of my cheek and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer. I slowly slid my hands up his chest, wrapping my arms around his neck as our lips continued to move in sync.
We pulled away when neither one of us could breathe. He pressed his forehead to mine as we caught our breaths.
"What was that for?" I whispered, not pulling away.
"That was for the girl I've had a crush on since my very first costume fitting."
I let out a small laugh as he leaned back and tucked a piece of hair behind my ear. We looked into each other's eyes, neither one of us saying anything. I watched as he slowly leaned down and pressed another kiss to my lips, shorter than the first.
"Y/N?" He hummed as he pulled away. I bit my lip, my head feeling a little foggy from the kiss.
He opened his mouth to say something, but we jumped when there was a knock on the trailer door. I looked down and blushed at his bare chest.
"Here," I whispered as I handed him his shirt. "Come in," I called out after he had slipped his shirt over his head.
"Hey, Y/N. Have you seen Dylan? He was supposed to come in and have you fix his shirt," Wes said as he walked in, looking down at something on his phone.
"Yeah," I laughed. "I just finished it." I pointed at Dylan who was awkwardly standing to the side. He raised his hand and waved at Wes, making him look between the two of us.
"Okay," he shrugged as he turned on his heel and left. As the door shut behind him, Dylan and I started laughing.
"I felt like a teenager almost getting caught in his girlfriend's room after curfew."
I felt my cheeks burn as he looked over at me when he said, "girlfriend." I looked away from his gaze, a blush on my cheeks.
"Well," I said clearing my throat. "I should. . . I should let you get back to it."
I stood up and walked over to the clothes rack, mindlessly thumbing through the garments I had to hem, take in, or finish sewing. I turned around and gasped when Dylan was standing directly behind me.
"I was going to ask you something before Wes interrupted us," he said, his voice soft and low.
"What?" I asked, my voice getting caught in my throat. He smirked down at me and pressed his lips to mine. I instantly started moving my lips against his. We pulled away, breathless.
"Can I take you out sometime?" He asked, his voice barely above a whisper. I smiled up at him, the butterflies in my stomach going crazy.
"I'd like that."

Chapter Five - Roman’s Success
Roman stared at his laptop, constantly refreshing his emails, bouncing his leg to try and calm himself down. He was waiting to know whether or not he got into the community musical.
Despite his confidence in his acting he was feeling uncertain about getting in. Virgil kept glancing over at him as he sipped his coffee, but Roman ignored him. Logan was in his room, reading most likely or working on some top secret project or whatever he was hiding. He had been surprisingly protective about people going into his room. Patton had once almost gone in as he was cleaning up the apartment to drop some books of Logan’s off and Logan almost tackled Patton away. No one was interested in going into Logan’s room after that, although Roman was exceedingly curious to know what Logan was hiding.
Patton was humming and dancing around the kitchen as he baked. He was almost constantly baking, and while Roman wasn’t complaining because the smell was heavenly and the results were delicious, he did wonder how Patton could do it day in day out. Roman got bored after a couple of minutes. Cooking on the other hand Roman enjoyed. He was able to taste as he went and add his own flair. Baking you had to measure everything out and if it wasn’t exact then it messed the whole thing up. But everything Patton made was delicious and his baking brought a sense of warmth and homeliness to the apartment, and made Patton happy, so Roman didn’t really have a problem with it.
Roman stared at the screen, which still hadn’t shown any new emails. He didn’t notice his leg bouncing was causing the whole table to shake until Virgil’s coffee splashed him. “Hey Princey, chill out, you’re causing my coffee to spill,” Virgil said, his tone half playful half serious. Roman took a deep breath and moved to lie on the couch. He picked up the book he was reading and opened it, but he couldn’t focus enough to take in the words. He sighed, put the book down and stared out the window. The sky was a solid grey, and the trees shook in the wind. It looked how Roman felt, bleak and cold, the nerves and excitement churning in his stomach. He needed a distraction.
Roman stood up and went into his room. He usually read when he needed to be distracted, but his emotions were too overwhelming to fully concentrate on reading words on a page. He popped on headphones and turned on his music. The familiar tunes of his favourite musicals surrounded him, and he began to clean his room. Roman always struggled with wanting to be able to control his life, which created so many problems for him given how out of control his life always seemed to be.
Roman made his bed, smoothing out the sheets and piling the plethora of blankets he slept under on top. He picked the clothes off of his floor and chucked them in a basket to be put in the wash later. He cleared his desk/vanity (he really needed a better space to do his makeup) and then sat down in front of his bookshelf. He took all of the books off of it, and then started to reorganise them. He didn’t really have a theme for his books, he just put them wherever felt right, as long as series and authors went together. Many of his books where slightly tattered from all of the times Roman had read them, while other newer books were in a bit better condition. It wasn’t that Roman didn’t take care of his books, for he did, he just liked to read as much as possible, on the train, on the beach, while eating, and so as a result his books just got a little more wear and tear than perhaps a casual readers books. Also Roman loved to reread books he loved, which meant that certain books looked a little more worse for wear than others.
One particularly battered book was his copy of Anne of Green Gables. The book was a small paperback, with the original text and an illustrated cover, depicting a redheaded girl clutching a book to her chest in front of a large white and green house. The spine was all bent, and one of the corners of the cover had come off completely, exposing the pages behind it. The pages themselves looked a little water damaged, but the main text of the book was largely unharmed. It was one of Roman’s absolute favourite books, the one he read for comfort, so much so that he could basically recite portions of it.
He wasn’t sure why he loved the book so much. It could be the way it was written, with a classic early twentieth century style that made everything sound oh so wonderful. It could be the endearing character of Anne, a talkative imaginative girl, who seemed to strike a note in the hearts of those around her, and who Roman found a portion of himself reflected in. It could be the delightful nature of the story, the little adventures and accidents that Anne found herself in. Whatever it was, the book brought great comfort to Roman, who had spent many days of his childhood holed up in his room, devouring this book again and again. It provided as much comfort to him as a childhood toy or a blanket.
With his bookshelf reorganised, his mind was once again free to wander back to the musical. He needed a role in this so badly, so much it hurt. He needed them to like him, needed them to notice him, because if they didn’t then… then… it didn’t matter what happened as long as it didn’t happen. He just needed to get a part in the play and then everything will be fine.
He sat on his floor for a couple of minutes, tired from the tidying, and just stared at his bookshelf, admiring his large collection of books. A knock on the door broke him out of his stupor, and a voice followed.
“Hey Princey, you have an email.”
Roman shot up, quickly opened the door and ran right into Virgil who was standing right outside his room, causing both of them to go crashing to the ground. Roman flushed, embarrassed, and quickly got off of Virgil, offering his hand to help him up. Virgil brushed him off, and got up himself, wincing slightly as he did so.
“Sorry,” Roman said sheepishly. Virgil shrugged, appearing rather nonchalant about the whole ordeal, though he still moved rather tenderly.
“Just go read that stupid email.” Roman nodded and ran over to his laptop, thankfully not bumping into anyone else on the way. He opened the email, and read through it as quickly as he could, then reread it because he didn’t actually take anything in the first time.
“HEY PAT I GOT IN!!” Roman yelled, jumping up and down in excitement. Patton ran over, dusting the flour off his hands with his apron. “And as Fiyero Tiggelaar no less,” Roman exclaimed dramatically, striking an extravagant pose. “That’s one of the lead male roles,” he added after seeing Patton’s confused face.
“Congratulations Roman! I am sure you will do a great job!” Patton said, clapping his hands. Virgil on the other hand, snorted and crossed his arms, looking at Roman with amusement. Roman glared at him. “What are you laughing at, Emo Nightmare?” “Nothing, just that stupid pose. And you have already used that nickname. Congrats Princey. Though maybe next time don’t knock me over.”
Roman gave a rather haughty look, but let it go. “Thank you… I think. And there is nothing wrong with this pose or my nicknames, JD-lightful. And… uh… sorry about that.”
Virgil shrugged. “It’s chill. You only broke a couple of ribs, nothing major.” Virgil said playfully. Roman noticed a glint in his eye and was about to respond with a clever remark, but was distracted by Logan finally emerging from his room.
“What is all this noise about?”
“Roman got a part in the show the local theatre group is doing!” Patton said excitedly.
“Well congratulations Roman, but could you all please keep the noise down? I am trying to read.”
“Sorry Logan but no can do! I was born for the stage and I must make my achievements heard!”
“Hey Logan, while you are out here would you like have some of these peanut butter cookies I just made. We can have them in celebration of Roman’s success!”
Logan sighed, but smiled at the offer. Roman smiled at Patton, who went over to the bench and brought over a tray of cookies that had just come out the oven.
“You know, I knew a friend who was in a theatre production about English Language Puns,” Patton said as he passed the tray around.
“Were they? How interesting,” Logan commented as he took a cookie.
“Oh yes. It was a play on words!” Patton gave a little giggle at his pun. Logan looked unimpressed, but he smiled a little as he bit into his cookie.
“I also knew an actor who fell through the floor.”
“Were they alright?” Logan asked, cautious of the direction this was going.
“Don’t worry, it was just a stage he was going through!” This was met with hearty laughs from Roman, sighs from Logan and amused looks from Virgil.
“Well thank you for the cookies, Patton, they are quite delicious!” Roman declared, kicking his feet up on the chair next to him.
“It’s no problem! Congratulations on the part! Or should I say, congrat-shoe-lations!” When this was met with no response Patton continued. “You know, the silver shoes that Dorothy finds, belonging to the Wicked Witch of the East… who is also a witch of Oz like the Wicked Witch of the West… never mind.”
“It was a horrible pun but a valiant effort, Patton,” Roman said, smiling. “And now I must be off. I need to go down to the library to return some well over due books. Gosh those fines are expensive.”
“Wait Roman before you go can you return some books for me too?” Logan asked, running into his room and returning with a couple of books. Roman nodded, putting them in his bag before dashing out the door.
“Well, those two seem to be getting along,” Virgil murmured as Logan went back into his room.
“They sure are,” Patton said, a weird look on his face, but before Virgil had any time to decipher what that look meant it was gone, and Patton was smiling once more, leaving Virgil to wonder if he had imagined it.

What is wrong with Patton? What is Logan hiding? Is it important? Only time will tell....

Our Gift, to You: Saeran x MC
I wrote this last year and with all the holiday festivities...forgot to post it ^^; It’s a gift for a friend (whose tumblr handle I can’t remember because we spoke on Discord ToT). But I hope you enjoy! Haha makes me miss writing for Saeran <3
Merry Christmas, guys!
✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼
Our Gift, to You
This feels…weird. Unfamiliar. New. Not necessarily bad, just…
He’s never had a real Christmas before.
Saeran shifts his weight to his other leg uncomfortably, surveying the scene before him. People bustled about the square, setting up chairs, decorating the large Christmas tree, touching up the design of the stage. A group of children stands to the side, vocalizing —a chorale. And in front of them was his beloved, talking to the conductor.
Immediately a sense of calm washes over him, the relief of having her in his sight allowing him to relax, to ease the tension in his shoulders. MC laughs and unconsciously his body leans forward, yearning to hear her voice. But his attention is diverted when his older brother strides toward him, a huge goofy smile on his face. Despite being identical twins, everyone in the RFA always comments on how different they are. And it's true --Saeran can't imagine being as goofy as his brother. But after everything that happened, he's happy to see his older brother happy.
"Brother of mine! Where were thou? I hath been looking for thee!"
"Why are you talking like that?"
"Ah, I just felt like it hehe."
"...okay."
"Saeran ah," Saeyoung clasps his shoulder and steers him toward the stage. "We have to go somewhere."
"Wha--stop that. Where are you taking me?"
Saeyoung grins, his glasses glinting in the afternoon sun. Saeran scowls at him.
"Just trust me, brother."
"...but I don't trust you."
Saeyoung gasps loudly, a hand going to his heart as he dramatically turns to Saeran. "B-but! Little brother! Why!!! Why do you hurt me like this?! Could it be because you're a sadist too??"
"Shut up." Saeran mutters in a low voice, his ears burning with his brother's remark. "I am not."
Saeyoung laughs. "Of course you're not, Saeran. Hehe."
Saeyoung stops in front of a heavily tinted car and Saeran turns to him, confused.
"Wha--"
"No time to explain!" Saeyoung cuts in, hastily pushing Saeran into the car. Saeran tries to fight off his brother but the older twin is far stronger than Saeran physically, thanks to his training from his hacker days. Saeran is shoved into the car, the door slamming shut behind him. He mutters a curse under his breath but as he straightens and reaches for the door, the other door opens and he hears a high-pitched gasp. When he turns, he instinctively opens his arms as MC's body crashes against his.
"Have fun, you two! Merry Christmas!" Comes Yoosung's voice from outside. There's some aggressive yelling in the background, the actor's voice being carried by the wind. But as soon as Jumin closes the door behind MC, the locks click into place and the car starts to move.
"Wha...Saeran..?" MC asks breathlessly, looking up at him. The white-haired twin realizes how close she is, her hazel eyes staring into his mint ones. He feels his face warming but he gives her a concerned look, pushing the hair that had fallen across her face.
"Are you okay, my love?"
MC's face turns that shade of red that he loves so much as she adjusts into a sitting position beside him, fixing the hem of her skirt.
"Yes...I'm fine." She looks at the closed partition and back at Saeran. "Any idea what they're planning?"
Saeran shakes his head, his irritation apparent by the scowl on his face. "My brother never tells me any of his plans."
MC giggles. "Well, if Saeyoung's behind it, it can't be that bad."
"...you think too highly of my brother."
MC laughs and his heart calms, comforted by the joy she emanated. As long as she is by his side...Saeran knows everything will be alright. He reaches for her hand and gives it a gentle squeeze, making her inhale sharply before giving him one of her sweet smiles.
"Saeran..."
The way she says his name makes his lips dry, his eyes flicking to her lips. Immediately he feels the air around them shift, his longingness for her overwhelming him. MC has been busy with the preparations for the party that their times together had been brief, fleeting. Now that he's alone with her --even if they were basically kidnapped and being taken to God knows where --he can't help but want the woman sitting beside him.
Saeran leans forward...and then the TV attached to the panel in front of them sizzles to life, and a voice fills the compartment.
"DING DONG DING DONG MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!"
The two jump apart, the sudden outburst making MC squeak and Saeran hit his head on the roof. Thank God it was padded.
He glares at the screen, the face of his brother staring back at them.
"Hehehe did I surprise you two? Were you about to have a special Christmas kiss~?"
Right now Saeran wanted to kiss his twin --Saeyoung's lips, Saeran's fist. He rubs his head and wonders what in the world his brother is doing. He loves his twin, but sometimes, the way he does things makes Saeran feel as though he's on a never-ending roller-coaster ride.
"Anyway! You two must be wondering what this is all about! UNFORTUNATELY!!! You'll have to wait! The car will take you to where you have to be so just sit back, relax, and~"
The Saeyoung on the screen makes a show of clearing his throat.
"Enjoy as RFA's best singer serenades you with Christmas songs!!!"
Saeran expects the screen to shift to Zen but he can't help but crack a smile when his brother starts singing Jingle Bells. MC laughs and Saeran sits back, listening to two of the most dearest people to him. His brother's singing, his beloved's laughter...voices that warm his heart despite the cold weather.
He feels her fingers intertwining with his own and Saeran closes his hand on hers, enjoying her warmth and presence. The rest of the car ride is silent, both of them listening to Saeyoung's singing. MC leans against him, the break very much welcome after a long day of making sure the party would run smoothly. Deep down, she still worries about the party, but if her friends planned this, then she knows they already have everything ready.
Finally, the car slows to a stop.
Good because Saeyoung has been singing like a deer for a while now.
"Oh!! It has been approximately 2527 seconds and you should have arrived at your destination! Please follow the snowflakes from here on and enjoy!!!"
The screen shuts off. The door is opened for them and Saeran steps out, offering a hand to MC and assisting her out of the car as well. Jumin's driver bows to them before heading back inside the car. Saeran and MC look at the tall building in front of them: one of C&R's international hotels.
The snow falls gently around them and Saeran wonders just exactly what his brother meant.
Follow the snowflakes..?
Saeran and MC climb the steps and enter the hotel and immediately MC bursts into laughter.
On the lobby floor is a sticker of a snowflake but with Yoosung's face in the middle. A few feet away, another sticker is there, this time with Saeyoung's face. Saeran has to hand it to his brother; the older twin definitely has some creative ideas under all the joking around and Honey Buddha Chips.
Saeran takes MC's hand and she leads him around the hotel, following the snowflakes stuck to the floors or walls. She giggles at the funny expressions on each of their friends' faces, even at the cute face of Elizabeth the 3rd. Saeran can't help but be drawn to her, this beautiful smiling angel.
Soon though, they stand in front of double doors, the handwritten sign on the wall saying 'Saeran and MC's White Christmas'. MC looks at him, her happiness and excitement making her glow; Saeran can't look away from her brightness.
"Shall we?"
Together, they reach for a door and push it open.
They are greeted by a flurry of snow and the soft dulcet tones of a piano. There is a table for two in the middle of the room, flowers adorning the table and intertwined onto the chairs.
Saeran blinks and his eyes go to the walls, which have photos projected onto them.
Photos of the RFA...of MC. Of him.
He hears his love gasping, hands going to her mouth as she takes in the sight before them. Slowly, they make their way to the table, each studying the photos. Saeran didn't even realize he had so much images of himself. But apparently, the photographer, Jihyun, has been taking candid shots. There were some cellphone photos as well...and blurry shots. But most of the images showed the RFA together, of happy moments they spent together.
A group photo during the summer. Photos of them eating ice cream. Of the actor sneezing due to his allergies. Of Yoosung Kim, beaming at the camera from the stage as he received his diploma. A photo of Jumin Han with his cat, sitting on a plane. Jaehee Kang tucking her hair behind her ear as she smiled at the camera with MC beside her. Even Jihyun had photos of himself.
But the best ones...the best ones were of his love. His loves, to be exact. The one who owns his heart...and the one who shares his soul.
Saeran's eyes scan the photos of himself with his brother; they weren't special. In fact, most of them were of the twins, arguing or laughing. Sleeping. Looking at knick knacks or the sunset. A smile graces Saeran's face.
That idiot.
He feels her warm hand going around his arm and he turns to look at her. The woman who taught him how to love, how to smile...how to forgive.
"Saeran..."
This time, he steps closer to her and captures her lips in his own, his love for her making his heart swell, his joy at simply knowing this woman overwhelming him already. To be given an opportunity to love her...well, that was greater than any gift he could ever ask for.
Her lips are soft and move against his, her arms going around his neck as she pulls Saeran closer, wanting more of the one she loves. Fake snow falls around them, instrumental Christmas songs serving as their background music. But they could be standing in an empty room, in silence, and everything would still be perfect. As long as she is with him...everything is always going to be okay.
They both pull away, pressing their foreheads together as they stare into each other's eyes.
"I love you, Saeran."
"I love you, MC...so much."
Again, she beams. Her smile lighting up her face...and his world.
"Should we check what's on the table?" MC asks.
Saeran laughs. "Sure, my love."
They close the gap between them and the table and find a fancy set-up of cutlery. There are covered plates and MC reaches out for a lid, lifting it gently. A savory aroma wafts through the air and Saeran freezes as he hears his stomach grumbling.
MC's laugh echoes around the room and Saeran turns red, averting his gaze to the table. That's when he sees an envelope addressed to the both of them. Taking the letter inside, he unfolds it and reads the message out loud.
"Dear Saeran and MC,
Merry Christmas! You two have worked so hard on the party that you both deserve a break! And to be honest, we wanted to give you two a special gift, one that can't be bought or traded! So, here are our gifts:
The gift of food! Because you both need to eat better! Hahaha! And Christmas can't be Christmas without food!
We give you two the gift of time. Because time with our loved ones is always important, and should never be taken for granted. You two deserve your time together, and we hope you enjoy this special Christmas moment between yourselves.
We give you the gift of friendship. Lmao, everyone could use a friend, and guess what? You two have seven! We hope the photos remind you that you are never alone, that no matter what, both of you have friends who will always be there for you, with you.
And finally, we give you both the gift of love. Romantic love, friendly love, family love. We love you both dearly. To us, especially to me, Saeyoung...you two are the brightest stars in the galaxy.
Merry Christmas, Saeran and MC!
P.S. Do not worry about the party, it is all taken care of. Please enjoy your moment together."
"Those goofballs..." MC says, sniffing as she wipes the corner of her eye. Saeran can't help but swallow as well.
After being alone for so long...after harboring so much hate and doing so much bad...how did he get so lucky? Maybe...maybe later, he can pray with his brother and be thankful for his blessings.
For now, he takes the advice of his friends...his family.
He pulls out the chair for MC and helps her to her seat. With a graceful flourish, he takes off the lid of each dish, watching MC's expression as each dish is revealed. Finally, he takes his seat across her and gives her a tender smile...a loving look.
"MC?"
"Yes, Saeran?"
"Are you happy, my love?"
"Of course...of course, I am. This is more than I could ever ask for." She blushes. "You are more than I could ever ask for."
"I feel the same way, my love. You have been a beacon of hope...the light in the darkness I was in. And now you bring me happiness, in ways I never even thought possible. You can just sit...as you are right now. Happy...healthy...perfect. I would be the happiest man alive just to be able to bask in your presence."
"Love...Saeran. I love you. I love you so much."
"I love you too, MC." Saeran gives her a smile, a smile that's reserved for the one he loves.
"Merry Christmas."

WORKFLOW + CCT
Final Project - Scene Recreation
Recreation of a scene from Baby Driver (2017)
https://vimeo.com/491846046
The original scene
https://youtu.be/rvYnnJ1zsUE
Crew
Jack Birrell - Director, Bonnie Sanderson - Editor/Producer, Alex Caldow - DOP/ Producer, James Fox - Sound, Samuel Tabotta - Sound/ Camera operator.
Starring
James Fox - Bats, Bonnie Sanderson - Doc, Jack Birrell - Baby/Eddie, Alex Caldow - JD.
Pre-Production
When choosing a scene, we mainly listed films we love. However, after giving it some thought, using ShotDeck to minimise the search for a scene requiring a couple teen actors would have been helpful, as Baby Driver requires multiple actors of multiple ethnicities. After a search for suitable actors, we had to settle with using ourselves (not an acting course). Due to Cal from our group having to leave for home early, we only had 4 from the group left over, meaning the group shot would be impossible to film unless we where to set it up and just watch what was being filmed from the monitor. So James Fox from the course offered to help out (lifesaver) and played Bats as well as some camera and sound operating.
We took some photos of the rough costumes and props so we could get a feel of what the preparation would be like on shoot day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Myself, Alex and Jack went charity shopping for props and costumes. We found a great suit for Doc and a blue patterned shirt for Eddie. We had to compromise with a plain yellow t-shirt for JD and just rolled the sleeves up, as well as sticking paper to a red jumped we bought for Bats. The rest of the props came together quite easily, finding toy cars and recreating the black board using paper and white pen.
Tumblr media
The studio we planned on filming in already had tables and chairs so that wasn't a concern, however we should have thought about the background. As the original scene has a busy background and some green on the pillars, if we had found something green to compensate for this it would have been better. So, most of the problems we faced where linked with the location in which we filmed, although it’s probably the best we could have found due to time restrictions and covid. The walls were incredibly white and made our shots look quite flat and generally just uninteresting compared to the original scene.
Alex had planned out all our shots in terms of lighting, lenses and framing. It helped us stay really organised on the day of the shoot and I feel it would have been a lot more troublesome hadn’t Alex prepared this.
The planning document:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iKBeYIbA3CZMcQUt0Q6a2EaaEuKo9VwPZ71b34jAyw0/edit?usp=sharing
Production
Sadly, we ran into struggles before even reaching the shooting location on the shoot day. Sophie from our group had to pull out due to potential covid carrying. This meant we had no one to film the group shot, after messaging a few people, Samuel Tabotta came to our rescue! We had booked the studio out from 9:30am until 5pm, thanks to Ben who stayed longer so we could use equipment and put it away, luckily we managed to get it all filmed in time and he didn't have to stay too much later than 5pm!
We bounced Sachtler lamps off a bounce board to create a more soft lighting then filled the rest with an LED light. The lighting wasn't exactly the same but filming a daylight scene in a blackout studio was always a worry of mine, I had felt myself forgetting this was a lighting exercise and not just a fun project to recreate a scene we love.
Tumblr media
Some shots were more complicated than just stills. So, in addition to trying to recreate the lighting and set, we had to recreate the same shot movement. For sliding shots we put a soft t-shirt on the table and placed the camera on top of it, with someone simply pulling the jacket from left to right to get the movement. This wasn't the best method however was the best we could could do with what we had, as first years are not allowed to use tracks.
Tumblr media
For the long push in, I brought my skateboard from home and Alex slowly pushed the end towards our actor, Jack. I also had to control the focus, so we took many many (many many many) takes until we finally took one we where happy with that wasn't too shaky. We also needed to record sound for this shot, so James had to sit on the ground to be out of the frame, we forgot to book out a mic pole, so he held his arm under the table to get Jacks monologue. Due to taking so many (many many many) takes, I'm sure his arm was in a lot of pain afterwards.
Tumblr media
Post-Production
Myself, Jack and Alex edited together back at the accommodation, taking around 3 hours to get it all done. Editing is what I am more attracted to within the film industry, so I requested to do most of the work. I especially LOVE watching scenes perfectly edited to the soundtracks Baby Driver is an obvious favourite for me (if only Spacey hadn’t linked his bad name with a good movie!). I think the music within the scene aided the edit as we could time the shots with the beats of the music, I think we were ever so slightly off but for a first time music edit, I was pretty proud of our work.  Alex had noticed a pen clicking sound within the scene, so we recorded the sound and inserted it at the correct times - which I do feel adds to the tension of the scene, making me realise even the smallest unnoticeable details are just as important to a scene. When grading, it was quite difficult as we had so much white in our takes, and getting the contrast needed for the scene was a challenge as it would black out our actors when putting even the slightest contrast. Resulting in a flat image in our final.
Comparison (I like)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bar the obvious loss of a blue grade on the original,, I feel we all did quite well acting considering we are not acting students! I am proud of the attention to detail we had put into the props as I feel it makes up for the incorrect colouring and loss of set depth.
Comparison (I dislike)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This shot is a far cry from the original. I think it was a shot we had taken after getting the sound working so felt stressed and short for time. It is a low (ish) angle and I feel we shot from too straight on. As well as the very off colour grading, this shot is very unsimilar to the original, however it is used in the fast paced montage at the beginning with music, so it’s a shot that was least important to us to get spot on.
Overall, I am proud of the outcome. We put in a lot of work and despite being a project for uni, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process (despite being stressful). The crit was the next day, the feedback from the module leaders and class made me very happy. There was an appreciation for the detail we put into the props and editing, and a comedic tone was received which I was hoping, as getting into a suit and playing a 50 year old man (60?..70?) was funny to me. We haven’t done a great deal of editing and colouring, so from the knowledge we had I think we did as good as we could have.

Rescue Me
A/N: My goodness it’s been forever since I’ve posted anything worth reading. This isn’t my usual Winchester fic. It’s not even a Supernatural fic. It’s Marvel, but not Steve or Bucky. I’ve also replaced Scarlett Johansson with our reader. She will be Black Widow. You’ll see why I did it, when you read it. Well, here you go. OH! And this was supposed to be one part, and has morphed into two!
Warnings: Angst (because I’m the princess of angst.)
Pairing: Jeremy Renner x Reader
Summary: The reader and Jeremy are having a hard time settling into the mind space of filming for the Vormir scene. (actual scene is in italics)
Tumblr media
Sitting on the couch in your trailer, elbow propped up on the back, fingers against you lips, nails between your teeth as you stare out the window lost in thought. You had been dreading this ever since the Russo’s gave everyone the script at the table read. As soon as you saw that Cint and Natasha were heading to Vormir and what was going to happen, you and your husband held each other a little tighter. The brother’s kept everything so quiet, that no one knew what was going to happen. They kept everything to themselves, until it was time to sit around the table and read together. Even then, they still were still changing things. You would be told one thing and then when you arrived on set to film, you would be handed a new script. Except, this. This they were keeping. You just had a feeling.
A knock on your trailer door, pulls you back to reality. You and move to the door, pushing it open to greet the PA on the other side. Time to head to hair and makeup. You grab your AirPods and phone. Slipping the buds in your ears, you scroll through your music and selecting ‘Rescue Me’ by Thirty Seconds to Mars. You allow the music to fill your ears and clear you mind. You give Mary and Deborah a smile as you sit in one of the chairs. Nothing is said as they begin to turn you into Black Widow. Your long hair being braided down your back, your makeup giving you a natural beauty look. Waterproof eye makeup because they knew that tears would be shed today.
You’re so absorbed into your music, that you don’t see the room get brighter as the door opens and Jeremy walks in. Deborah gives your hair a few puffs of hair spray before stepping away, giving you a moment to let everything set. Jeremy can see how lost you are, as he moves behind you. You jump when you feel his hands lad on your shoulders. You look into the mirror and pull on of the pods from your ear.
“You okay?” He asks, gently. Stroking his thumbs over your shoulders.
You nod and give a small smile. “Yeah, just ready.” You reach your own hand up to hold his, feeling the warmth radiating off of him, giving you comfort.
He nods. His hair floppy but wild, from sleep. “We got this.” He kisses the back of your head and giving your hand a squeeze, before letting you go and sitting in the chair beside you so that the girls can do his hair and makeup.
“Yeah.” You stand from your seat. “I’m gonna get a quick snack and some water. Want anything?” You stand close to him, but out of Mary’s way. Reaching for his hand again. His wedding band, gleaming on his finger.
He shakes his head. “No, I’m okay. I’ll meet you on set?”
You nod, squeezing his hand and leaning towards him, pressing a kiss to his lips. Pulling back, you give him another smile and walk out of the trailer, fitting the earbud back in place and letting the music fill your ears again.
---
You and Jeremy stood close to your markers, wrapped around each other, mentally preparing yourselves for what was about to happen. Filming scenes like this is always difficult, no matter what movie you were filming. This time was different though. You were saying goodbye to a character that has been with you for almost ten years now. You were also filming the scene with Jeremy, the man that you’ve been in love with since you filmed Avengers together. The two of you have been married for the last four years. You’ve spent the last six years together and now it was ending. Not your marriage, but your Marvel days together.
You know he was having a hard time, too. Maybe even harder, considering he had to imagine you dying right before his eyes. He is a such a great actor; he’ll get the scene done no problem. It was after that worried you. How would this scene affect him? You were going to find out.
You pull away from him enough, that you can put your forehead again his. Eyes closed, breathing each other in. You can hear the crew moving around you both, getting the set ready. You can hear the click of the camera as the on-set photographer took photos, probably drooling over the affection between you and your husband. You’ll have to remember to ask for copies of them.
Opening your eyes and pulling back, the tiniest bit. “You ready?” you ask, your voice no higher than a whisper.
He peels his eyes open, looking at you with his blue eyes. He gives his head the slightest shake. “No. How am I supposed to do this? How am I supposed to imagine you like that?” His jaw clenching as he grits his teeth together.
“I know it’ll be tough but as soon as they call cut, I’ll be with you. I’ll be right here.” He shifts his gaze away from you and gives an unconvinced nod. You bring your hands up, one on his cheek and the other on his neck, bringing his attention back to you. “I love you. We can do this.” Your voice stern, filling him with the confidence his needs to pull himself together.
He nods one last time, before kissing you. Quick, but filled with everything he is.
You pull away from each other and stand on your marks, keeping your gaze on each other a moment longer before Anthony calls for everyone’s attention.
---
Cameras rolling. You sat on the rocks, snow falling around you. Jeremy standing in the center with Ross, playing Red Skull, behind you. One camera focused on your face, the other focused on the three of you.
--
“How’s it going?” Clint asks with a wave and a chuckle, stepping towards you with a shake of his head. “Jesus. Maybe he’s making this shit up.”
“No. I don’t think so.”
“Why? Because he knows your daddy’s name?” He asks, pacing.
“I didn’t.” You give your head a slow shake. “Thanos left here with the stone. Without his daughter. That’s not a coincidence.”
All Clint can say is “Yeah.” Staring into the distance.
“Whatever it takes.” You murmur.
Clint turns towards you. “Whatever it takes.” You look over at him, finally looking at him for the first time since sitting down.
You stand and move towards hm. “If we don’t get that stone billions of people stay dead.”
He holds your gaze for a second longer before looking out at the horizon. “Then I guess we both know who it’s gotta be.”
You keep your gaze on his profile and nod. “I guess we do.”
He looks down and takes your hand into his, you bring your other hand up and secure it around the back of his, holding it between yours. “I’m starting to think we mean different people here, Natasha.”
“For the last five years, I’ve been trying to do one thing. Get to right here. That’s all it’s been about. Bringing everybody back.” You stand a little closer to him.
“Oh, don’t you get all decent on me now.” You can hear the pleading in his voice.
“What? You think I want to do it? I’m trying to save your life, you idiot.”
“Yeah well, I don’t want you to. How’s that?” He shifts on his feet. “Natasha, you know what I’ve done. You know what I’ve become.”
“Well, I don’t judge people on their worst mistakes.”
The sadness creeping on his face, makes your heart clench. “Maybe you should.”
Raising your chin, you give him a small smirk. “You didn’t.” You can feel your throat growing tight with the emotion that you are trying to keep down.
A beat passes between you both.
“You’re a pain in my ass, you know that.”
Your face trembles, just slightly. You both lean forwards and press your foreheads together. You’re shaking, you know he can feel it. You can see him trying to hold himself together. His jaw ticking with each breath he takes.
Suddenly, he’s pulling back and making you look up at him. “Okay. You win.” You take in a small breath as he gives you the smallest smile before taking you down and pining you to the ground beneath him. “Tell my family, I love them.” He grunts as you quickly switch positions. His back to the floor, you are standing over him, fist pointed at him, suit lighting up.
“You tell them yourself.”
He groans, knowing he was supposed to being shocked by the weapon attached to your wrist. You turn and start to run towards the edge, ready to jump. He quickly stands and fires an arrow; an explosion of rubble makes gives you your cue to fly to the right. Landing with a grunt, you roll onto your stomach and watch as he gives you a sad smile, before taking off into a run.
He leaps over the edge, ready to fall to his demise. What he isn’t expecting, is for you to throw yourself onto his back, attach a hook to his belt and launch the other end into the stone edge behind you. Both of you being jerked at the force, you slipping from his grasp until he catches your wrist in his hand.
“Damn you.” He grunts out. He looks behind him and up, trying to find a way to save you. He looks back down, trying to reach for your other hand. He grunts and groans, trying to pull you up. You don’t say anything, you just look up at him with a calm expression, panting. He can feel you start to slip, and he squeezes your wrist tighter. “Wait.” He puffs out. Quietly whispering, “come on.”
You try to calm your breathing, staying calm for him. “Let me go.”
He looks back up and then back at you. Pleading with his eyes. “No.” He shakes his head. “No, please no.”
You tremble but give a slight nod. “It’s okay.” You whisper with so much affection.
That’s his breaking point, the moment he had been dreading. Tears form in his eyes, the blue of his irises looking like the ocean and giving you a sense of peace. “Please.” He begs.
You give him a nod and then you manage to get your footing on the wall, and you launch yourself off with a grunt, your wrist ripping from his hand as you begin to descend. You can see his face twist into agony and wretched wail leaving his body.
You fall onto the mats below and lay still. Listening to your husband wail and sob above you, waiting for someone to call cut. You see him clinging to the rope that’s attached to him, crying as he looks down at your unmoving torso.
--
“Cut!” Joe calls. Giving the all clear for movement behind the camera. “Great job guys, I think we got it. The only thing we will need to get is a shot of Y/N after the fall, but that was amazing. That’s lunch guys.”
You climb off the mat and wait for the stunt team to remove your harness for around your waist. You were ready to get back to Jeremy. As soon as the last wire is removed from your belt, you move towards the cliff set up, beginning your climb. Jeremy is moving down the cliff at the same time and meets you in the middle, gathering you in his arms.
You can feel him trembling and you grip him harder. “It’s okay. I’m right here. I’m okay.” You whisper in his ear, stroking the back of his head. He sinks the both of you to the ground, holding you in his lap. You wait until he calms down a bit to pull back from him. Holding his face within your hands, you look into his sad eyes. You never want to see that devastated look on his face ever again.

Gifted
TITLE: Gifted (Sequel to Giftless)
CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: 10/?
AUTHOR: nekoamamori ORIGINAL IMAGINE:
Imagine that you are Stark’s niece and you secretly share a strong relationship with Loki since he entered the crew. One day you get hurt so bad during a mission that you are about to die.  Loki knows a spell that will save you and share his immortality with you but you and he will be linked forever sharing thoughts, pain, emotions…
RATING: T NOTES/WARNINGS:  Also on AO3 click here
After dinner with your actor friends, you went back to the tower where you curled up on your usual couch in the common room to watch TV, read, and wait for your super friends to join you later in the evening. You couldn’t help laughing when the pictures from the evening started coming through social media. They also ended up all over the news. The pictures the cast tagged you in and sent to you were better than the ones the news outlets had found, but that was to be expected.
You made the pictures of the cast all bowing down to you on your throne surrounded by props your new profile picture for all of your social media.
You had given Loki a couple books to catch up on, since he had missed some new releases over the last year. You had stubbornly set them aside for him specifically so he could catch back up when he got back. There were books piled on your coffee table waiting for Loki.  You were really determined that he was coming back.  No matter how many times Tony told you to put your books away.
Your thoughts were interrupted by a tiny black cat mewing next to your couch while you were reading. You looked down at her and couldn’t help smiling. “Hey, Aunt Pepper. Tony had to go talk to Fury about something. You can hang out with us until he gets back if you want.” you offered. The cat hopped up in your lap and you petted her while she purred. Pepper Potts was Tony’s fiancé, CEO of Stark Industries, and practically your Aunt, even though she and Tony weren’t married yet. She had also recently acquired the power to shapeshift into animals.  She didn’t get powers in the initial wave of magic that had swept the world, just like you hadn’t.  She’d only gotten them recently, so she was spending more time in the tower while she learned to control them.
Which meant you occasionally had a cat to curl up and read with you.  You didn’t mind, you liked Pepper for all that you had barely seen her before she got her powers.
“Do I need to turn into a cat so you will pet me like that?” Loki purred in your ear.
You looked up at him and giggled at his silly antics and his whispered teasing.   “You can do that?” you asked instead of answering his question properly. You weren’t dignifying his seductive purring with an answer.  Despite the blush that rose on your cheeks.
“When you are feeling better, I will teach you how as well. It is not a skill I use often, but it is one of my abilities, and so it is also one of yours,” Loki told you warmly.  You’d gotten all of his magical abilities through the soulbond.  As well as all of his years of study.
Tony arrived soon and you caught him scanning the ground as if looking for a missing cat. You waved at him from your spot on the couch. He waved back, but looked distracted, and worried. “Uncle Tony, if you’re looking for Aunt Pepper, she’s here,” you called innocently. You saw Tony turn red, but he nodded and came to join you. He sat on your couch with you, as far from Loki as he could get, and next to your feet. You promptly put your cold toes on his warm leg, which made him yelp and glare at you. You giggled at the look on his face.
Pepper abandoned your lap and went to go curl herself on Tony’s lap instead. Tony tried to act nonchalant about allowing it, but you knew him better than that. Even after all these years, he had issues showing how much he cared for Pepper or for you, though he tried his best.  You grinned at the pair and settled yourself more comfortably in Loki’s arms. Tony glowered suspiciously at you and you gave him an innocent smile in return, which just made him glower more deeply, which should not have been physically possible.
Pepper shifted back to human form. Thankfully she had clothes when she did it this time. That wasn’t always the case and it had taken her a lot of work to learn how to shift back and forth with clothes.  Everyone in the tower was grateful when she managed it, so Tony wouldn’t have to kill you all for seeing more of Pepper than you should have.
Tony swore and cursed in surprise at the sudden change while you and Loki laughed at their antics. Pepper was curled quite comfortably in Tony’s lap and wrapped her arms around Tony’s neck, kissing your uncle on the cheek so Tony turned even more red. Though he used to be such a playboy.  He was shy around Pepper and walked on eggshells for fear of losing her.  “Pepper!” Tony exclaimed, you had never seen your super hero uncle so embarrassed.
“Calm down, Tony. They already know.  Everyone in the universe has known since well before you proposed,” Pepper replied with a grin.  It was true.  Everyone in the known world knew Tony Stark had proposed and knew he was dating his CEO before then.
You yelped when Loki grabbed you around the waist and pulled you into his lap, so you and Pepper were mirrored on the couch. “If it is proper for your uncle to have his love on his lap, then it is proper for me to have mine in the same place,” Loki explained quite reasonably. You all laughed, except for Tony who glared, but couldn’t easily fight Loki’s logic. You settled yourself more comfortably on Loki’s lap and he wrapped his cool arms around you once you were settled.
“You don’t think-” Tony trailed off, losing whatever words he was trying to find. You grasped the concept behind his question, though.  He wanted to know if you were ok with his relationship with Pepper.  He had gotten so much flack over it and didn’t want any from you too.
“Tony, I don’t care who you love as long as they treat you well,” you told him sincerely, trying to be reassuring that you really was open to whatever relationship made him happy. You were glad, of course, that he’d stopped being a playboy, and you loved Pepper, so it was great.  The moment you saw the reassurance in his eyes though you couldn’t help adding: “Unless you love Loki. You can’t have him. He’s mine,” you added, because it was your job to tease him. You stuck your tongue out at him and he laughed.
“You can keep him,” Tony replied, finally relaxing and wrapping his arms around Pepper.
By the time the news aired the footage of the crash again, Pepper’s head was on Tony’s shoulder and Tony was absently petting her hair. They were absolutely adorable together. Tony stiffened every time someone walked into the room, but all he got from them were waves and friendly greetings, so he finally calmed.
One idiot made a joke that was derogatory about Pepper in the relationship with Tony.  It wasn’t the first time, people were always saying derogatory things since she’d been Tony’s assistant before he made her CEO. You were the first one on your feet to defend Tony and Pepper, daggers in both hands, one held to the idiot’s throat. Loki was right behind you, not visibly armed yet. You were soon surrounded by supers, all of whom were prepared to fight and all of whom were defending Tony and Pepper. “I’m sorry! It was a joke!” the idiot insisted.
“It’s not funny,” you snarled. You were mildly impressed that this hulking brute was terrified of you, the tiniest girl in the room.  And the one without powers at the moment.  But then again, on a normal day, you were the deadliest person in any given room.
“No more jokes, I swear!” he begged.
“There better not be,” you snarled. There were cheers from the others. Loki touched your arm.
“I believe he has gotten the point, darling,” he said dryly. Lucky guy was getting saved by Loki. Hopefully he appreciated it. You saw his grateful look at Loki. Loki just glared at him in reply.
“He insulted Tony,” you pouted at Loki.
“That is not a killing offense, dear, or I would be long dead,” Loki’s voice was still dry.
“Fine,” you replied, stepping back from the idiot. You handed one of your daggers to Loki to vanish and sheathed the other one with a flourish.
“You summon excellent daggers,” Loki commented appraising your dagger as you calmly walked back to our couch.
“A girl has to have standards,” you replied with a smile. He laughed and vanished the dagger before he resumed his place on the couch and pulled you onto his lap. You curled up there contentedly and he wrapped a blanket around you to keep you warm against his chill.
Pepper pouted and looked pathetic until Loki summoned another blanket so Tony could wrap it around her. Pepper instantly perked up and you could hear her purring from your end of the couch.  Sometimes the animal traits stuck more than she wanted to admit.
You were soon joined by the rest of your friends, who insisted that you watch Superhero Musical. That movie was the tower favorite and you watched it all the time, sang along every time, and somehow never got tired of it. You all sang along as per usual and you looked up at Loki surprised when he jumped in right along the rest of you. He didn’t miss any of the words, either.
He’d been practicing.
You all stayed up way too late and ended up falling asleep in the common room, on various couches, chairs, cushions and beanbags. You had a feeling that it was Fury who took the picture that ended up on the official Avengers’ website and Facebook page, heavily edited so no supers identities were compromised, of course.

Sitting on the table in the kitchen, Dean is stirring gravy on the stove while I strip the corn in the cob, the radio on the corner countertop is playing Sweet Home Alabama as Dean dances across the kitchen. Bobbing my head along to the beat of the music, Dean smirks at me as he turns the volume up a bit as I drop the shucked corn in the pot beside me. Dean grabs my hand, pulling me off the table, before twirling me around as I let out a loud laugh, the two of us dancing with the music, not a single care that it doesn't match the music playing. It seems our laughter draws an audience, because just as Dean dips me, the song turning off, Sam and Castiel are in the doorway of the kitchen, clapping.
"Oh, uh..." Dean lifts me back up, twirling me out of his arms so fast that I have to grasp the table I was previously occupying, the room spinning a bit. "Hey guys." I greet within my best ability.
"Food's gonna be a while." Dean states as he turns the music back down, and takes the pot of salted water and corn cobs, placing it on the stove.
"Oh, we were just checking out the commotion." Sam replies, causing me to blush as Dean nods, though in response to Sam, or to the beat of the new song, I'm not entirely sure.
"Indeed." Castiel states. "Carry on." I have to hid my wince at the way he says it, it sounds rehearsed, almost like being blind-read from a script before him. "Sam and I are going to do a beverage run. What would you like, Emily?" He asks.
"Oh, uh... Grape Crush, or Green Apple Fanta. I'm not large on alcohol, nor caffeine." I reply with little to no thought, a pure answer from the top of my head. The two of them smirk, before nodding as they disappear, and I turn back to the task at hand in the quiet of the kitchen, which is only punctured by the sound of the music. Grabbing a cutting board, I start cutting the tomatoes for the salad, humming along to the music under my breath. "Dean," I finally place the knife down, turning to his broad back as he turns halfway to me, keeping an eye on the pork chops at the same time as acknowledging me. "you have yet to ask. About... anything you saw that day." I cross my arms over my chest as he turns the occupied burners down for safety, and then turns to lean on the counter next to it, eyes roaming over me, studying me.
"Well, I don't make it a habit of digging into the past, when it's obviously something that you want to forget." He replies, causing me to smirk, and he narrows his eyes at me. "Alright Sweetheart, you want me to ask, I'll ask. The douchebag who was throwing and beating on you, what was his deal." If he notices how quickly I stiffens, turning back to my task as if he hadn't spoke at all is sure to worry him, the slight shaking in my arms and shoulders is the only giveaway of the event. "Hey hey hey, Emily, are you alright?" He asks softly, causing me to set the quivering knife down as I slowly turn back to him, and he smiles softly as I force myself to smile at him. "You don't gotta force yourself to say anything." He says softly, reaching up to caress my cheek, looking into my eyes as I bite my bottom lip, before looking away.
"He was my... Ex-fiance." I notice that he stiffens at my reply. "Daniel was manipulative, and accusing and he made me lose all of my friends, isolated me from my family, and made it so I was dependant on him. I didn't notice the signs of abuse, until he started to abuse me, and by then, it was too late. Nobody wanted to help me, or nobody believed me." My explanation causes Dean to look a bit distraught. "I managed to get a restraint order, and moved to a whole new town, new state, to get away. That was a couple weeks before I woke up here." My voice dies weakly, looking up at him sadly.
"Oh, sweetheart, I'm so sorry." He apologizes as I tearfully shake my head.
"F-Forget it." I rub my eyes, wiping away all trace of tears as I smile up at him. "What do you say, we get this done? I'm nervous enough about meeting Jodie for the first time." He chuckles at that.
"Don't worry so much. She's like a big cuddly teddybear. Gruff and surly on the outside, but gentle and loving in the inside." Dean explains, causing me to giggle, shaking my head at him as he turns to the doorway, as if checking that she's not behind us when he's speaking. "Just, uh... Don't tell her I told you that, huh?"
"Hmm... I think I can be persuaded to keeping that secret." I tease, setting the knife down as I turn back to look at Dean as he scoffs and chuckles, looking at me.
"You are diabolical." He taunts, turning back to me, before leaning on the counter as he crosses his arms over his chest. "Alright, what can I bribe you with?"
"I wanna drive Baby!" I burst out with, causing his mouth to drop, surprise on his face as I bounce on the balls of my feet.
"You wanna drive-"
"You let Sam before! Come on, Dean! Please!" I beg, tugging at his arm, and giving my best puppy dog eyes to him. "I'll bake you some pie!" I offer in a sing-song type voice as he looks down at me, quirking his lips as I giggle, and lean up on my tip-toes. "Any. Kind. You. Like." He groans, rubbing the palms of his hands on his jeans.
"Sweetheart, you don't fight fair." He pouts, leaning towards me as he strokes my cheek, causing my face to flush as I step back, and drop my face away. "One time. You can drive Baby, once."
"Really?!" I gasp, looking up at him with wide eyes. "Oh, thank you Dean! Thank you!" I throw my arms around him, hugging him as he chuckles, his hands falling to my waist in return, and I smile up at him. Suddenly, it's like electrical currents are running through my skin from his from where we touch, my heart is pounding as we look into each other's eyes. His thumbs start to stroke my love handles under my shirt, first in circles and occasionally up in down, causing my skin to hum as I struggle to breath, his fanfiction green eyes are on my own, it's like a magnetic pull, drawing the two of us closer until we're just a hair's breath away from each other.
"Hey Dean, I'm here- oh!" We both jump, Dean pushes me back, like we're two teens just caught doing something they're not supposed to be doing. "I-I'm so sorry! I-" Jodi turns to me with an apologetic smile. "Hi, I'm Jodi." She clears her throat, holding out her hand, which I shake as embarrassment floods and stings my cheeks. "You must be Emily."
"Y-Yes." She looks at Dean with a motherly reproachful look, before smiling at me once more as she shakes my hand. After she drops it, my face enflames even more as she looks between Dean and I with curiosity in her eyes. "I-I'll just let you two talk." I stammer out, scurrying towards the door.
"Hey," Dean calls after me, and turning to look at him, our eyes meet, and my breath hitches as we stand there, lost in each other's eyes.
"Dean! Emily! We're back!" Sam's shout draws my attention, and I dash out if the kitchen to help the other two with the drinks they bought. Shortly after the incident, Dean and I are converting the Map Table into a dinner table, placing piles of food on it, before moving chairs around, and everyone is sitting as I go around, pouring drinks for them.
"Em, sit down." Dean urges as he looks up at me, causing me to drop my head with a blush, shaking my head as I pour the last of the drinks, before I dash back into the kitchen as the over timer goes off. After checking the two pies and chocolate cake that are in the oven, I switch it off while leaving them in the oven to cool, before walking back out with the rest of the food in one arm, and the plates tucked in the other.
"Oh, sweetie, do you need help?" Jodie asks as she scoots the chair back to stand.
"No no, we've got it." Dean says and both he and Sam stand, coming over to relieve me of my burden, placing them on the table, and Dean scoots out a chair for me to sit in, before helping me scoot in. Jodie is watching this all with a delighted gleam in her eyes, looking rather impressed as she smiles in approval at me.
"So, Emily," Jodie starts as everyone starts to load uo their plates. "you seemed to have whipped these boys into shape. Look, they're even eating instead of gulping it down like it's going to run away!" She laughs as I let a soft giggle, stabbing a piece of chicken to put on my plate, before adding mashed potatoes and gravy.
"They just didn't get a lot of home-cooked meals in the past, being on the road 24/7. I mostly stay behind while they're on the hunts, and I always leave them both a plate in the fridge for when they get back." She smiles as I add some broccoli and cheese sauce to my plate, along with a scoop of stuffing.
"Yeah, Emily takes good care of us. Doesn't she, Dean?" Sam inquires, causing me to furrow my brow. "Doesn't she, Dean?" Sam says with a little more emphasis, causing me to discreetly look over at the older man, only to find him staring at me as a blush floods my cheeks. Suddenly something brushes my leg as Dean hollers in pain, jumping before he clears his throat.
"Yeah yeah. Em's the best." Dean mutters as he drops his gaze to his plate, shoveling his food into his mouth.
"So, Emily, how exactly did you meet the boys?" Jodie asks in a friendly tone, causing the boys to stiffen as Emily freezes.
"It's uh... A bit of a long story, and we're still not a hundred percent on the details." I explain slowly, before launching into detail about the way I met the boys abd Castiel, and by the time I'm done, she's gawping at me as I slowly start to blush, shoveling food into my mouth to I don't have to speak. Jodie continues to eat as she takes a long moment to process the information that I told her, long enough for me to worry that she might think I'm lying. I turn to Dean with frantic eyes, but he simply holds out a hand as he shakes his head, smirking at me as he looks towards Jodie, who stabs a piece of lettuce and tomato from her salad, before looking up at me.
"I suppose you're lucky to have woken up near the boys, huh? No telling who or what would be after you for the information you possess." She says, causing a cold sweat to break out on my forehead and neck, both of the boys and Castiel all freeze as well, as if the idea just hit them.
"And we've been letting you go on hunts with us." Sam groans as he faceplants into his hand, while Dean's grip tightens on his fork.
"The dangers just tripled on the playing field." Dean states as Jodie snorts.
"She's survived so far. Give her some credit boys." She scolds, causing them to actually look a bit sheepish. "You can handle yourself, right?"
"I would never put the boys, nor anyone else in danger. I would rather bite my tongue off and bleed to death, than hurt you guys." I reply, causing Dean to swallow thickly, within an audible gulp, his hands turning bone white around his silverware. Sam's frown deepens as he shakes his head in immense displeasure at the thought. Castiel shifts nervously in his chair as Jodie looks around at us, before I press my chair away from the table. "Well, I think I'll set the pies and cake out to cool." I state as I disappear into the kitchen as fast as I can.
~3rd POV~
The moment that Emily is out of sight and earshot, Jodie starts to saw into her chicken, watching Sam and Dean exchange looks, almost like they're having a silent conversation with each other. "Dean," His head snaps up at her voice as she points her fork towards the kitchen, a piece of tender chicken dangling from the end. "you look after that girl. Don't let her go."
"Don't let her go? What do you mean?" He asks, causing Jodie to shot Sam a look, as if to say 'is he serious?' to which Sam nods with an exhausted and forelorn look upon his face.
"Dean, even a blind man can see the attraction and tension between you two." Jodie says, scraping her food off her fork with a sharp clink noise.
"Dean, she's right." Sam chimes in. "You laugh and smile with Emily, like I have yet to see you do. You look at the pictures of Jess and I, and you can see the same look I have her, on your face when you look at Emily." Sam says as he takes a bite of his corn on the cob.
"Wait, what?" Dean snorts. "You saying that I'm in love with Emily?" He shakes his head. "No. No way am I in love with that outsider. She doesn't even understand our world, as much as she claims she might. She will never understand, because she is different than us. I will not drag her into a life where she'd be nothing but useless!" Dean's brow furrows at Sam's wide-eyed, grim expression.
"Well," Dean jumps, turning around to see Emily standing there with teary eyes. She slams the pie, dish and all, in her hands, on the table as she throws her oven mitts in her chair. "let me be the last to know where I'm not wanted." She states with a tight voice, before she walks out of the room.
"Way to go, Dean." Sam snaps as Jodie stands, looking at Dean as she shakes her head.
"That was the most cruel way to handle that, Dean." She scolds, hurrying out of the room after Emily.

Well, Dean screwed up. Again. It'd be too easy for them if I didn't throw in a little twist or two! You'll just have to stick around to see what happens next!
Also, sorry for the lack of content. I moved. Again. And I got a severe bout of insomnia, and depression. Things just were crazy and hectic. Anyway! Please enjoy, and I will try to have the next chapter written and up soon. Love you all, my fabulous readers! Remember, my inbox is always open.
