barista/spidey!kazuha has had a crush on you since high school. back when tomo was still alive, he'd tease kazuha every day for being in a daze all the time — he was always either focused on some book or focused on thoughts of you. he has a notebook (or two) filled with letters to you, potential confessions, poems... it's suuuper embarrassing when he thinks about it now.

he fell for you because he once got hit in the face by a basketball at full speed. it gave him a nosebleed immediately, and you were the first (and only) person to jump into action. you were first aid certified, so while you waited for the nurse, you helped him contain the bleeding and ease the pain just a bit. for a few days after that, you checked up on him to make sure he wasn't in any pain. after a few weeks, you all but forgot he existed — you became more centered around your studies, leaving kazuha to admire you from the outside.

he wrote letters to you wondering how you were faring with all your responsibilities (the ones he could see, anyhow), wrote poems that he thought would cheer you up whenever you looked down, wrote confession letters to you whenever he thought you were going to be scooped up by someone else...

now that he's an adult, kazuha looks you in the face every day and wonders if you remember what happened in high school. it doesn't seem like you do, and he doesn't think it necessary to remind you; you seem to glow whenever you see his face, and that's all he could ask for.

Spoilers For I Am J by Chris Beam

yesterday i just finished reading I Am J and that book was a complete rollercoaster.

i loved the book so much!!! all of the characters in it had relatable aspects which was really cool! i really liked Chanelle specifically. i thought it was really fun whenever she said “rititulous” and i caught myself saying it on occasion without meaning to.

i really liked J. i loved his journey, especially his struggle with his parents. it felt so real that it hurt to read. especially when J came out to his dad. i almost cried when i read what J’s dad said, but unfortunately i was in public, so i couldn’t :p another thing i loved how J tried to push others away. i struggle with wanting to push everyone away, so seeing someone else who felt like that and actually acted on it made me feel really seen and a little happier.

the only thing that i didn’t like about it was Blue and J’s relationship. i felt sick every time they flirted, and when they kissed.

other than that i really loved this book with my whole heart! i loved how i related to all the characters in different ways. i felt so many things while reading, and the whole experience was awesome!!!

also thanks for reading this! this is my first book review, although it’s less of a review and more of my scrambled thoughts, but i kinda just needed to get this out. anyways have a lovely day :)
