I don't want to give to many spoilers but so I'll just say kindaaaa.

This story was inspired a bit by Crazy Rich Asian, a bit by Spencer, a bit by Red White and Royal Blue, a bit by the Crown, a bit by my love of gossip and video essay on youtube.

Specially with Red White & Royal Blue, this video I watched joked about how the book felt like it's from the Obama/Hamilton™ era as it is clearly optimistic about government (and by extension, the British monarchy.) We had a black president, gay marriage was legal, Thomas Jefferson had a miku binder, racism was literally over.

I did not want to do that. I know why RW&RB did what it did, queer & poc people deserve our cheesy fictional romcom where we can overlook the horrors of the monarchy/government for the sake of wish fulfillment. If the Straights can have a million hallmark prince charming movies, we should too. But, what I thought was odd was that RWRB did mention how horrible, outdated, and oppressive the monarchy is, and yet Prince Henry still stays in the family? The monarchy just becomes progressive overnight? Storytelling wise, I thought that was an odd choice. Why even mention the horrors™ if you're not going to address them critically? I honestly think that why Yuri on Ice did it better. By just having an alternate world where homophobia(and racism) doesn't exist, you can just have your cute queer/poc romcom.

I have been (trying) to set up that the monarchy is bad, both to its members and because of its ties to British colonialism. Like I strongly believe that you can't just slap a rainbow flag on the monarchy and call it a day. Dimitri's mom was pushed to an extreme and was not given any of the mental health support she needed. Rodrigue tried to comfort Felix by saying that at least Glenn died in service of the Crown (while they were literally doing colonizer things in the Middle East). Rhea's mom was a random civilian killed by loyalists (*cough cough colonizers*) Sitri was forced to go to a residential school to be Christianized and stripped of her culture. Both events are rooted in British colonialism and by extension, the monarchy and its legacy.

I just think it would be irresponsible of me to have Byleth, a half-indigenous half-Irish girl, and not address it. Like irl the tabloids and the monarchy couldn't be normal about Meghan Markle, what would they say about our favorite working class autistic brown rural girl?

Anyway, it will come up soon! (Next chapter will conclude Rhea's story, then some hospital stuff, and then Rufus is introduced? So next three chapters? I don't know how the chapters will break but it's coming)

You two were close. Not close as in being linked through Crimson's powers. It was more of a mutual liking you took towards each other. Of course, it's not hard when you both are considered traitors to your kin.

Despite sharing the status of traitor, you both differed in various ways. While both superior dragons, neither of you came from the same bloodline. You are one of the rare Claw Brethren. There is also the act of betrayal. You've never held a monarch role like Crimson, so you simply left your previous ways of genocide on humans.

I Am Unreasonably Hyped For This Game

What the heck They did it, they made peak THIS WAS ANNOUNCED A FUCKING MONTH AGO AND YET I SOMEHOW DIDN'T HEAR ABOUT IT UNTIL LAST NIGHT I HATE HOW NONEXISTENT THE MARKETING FOR THIS SERIES IS I am like actually frothing at the mouth at this announcement, absolutely feral.

This series has by far one of my favorite soundtracks in any video game and the fact that they didn't make a rhythm game out of it 8 years ago is criminal and the creators deserve to be locked up in solitary confinement for the rest of their lives for not making it sooner. But they also deserve to be let out and also given 1 billion money coins and a free pass to be allowed to commit any crimes ever for finally making it now!

I refuse to look at the actual song list because I know that I'll be disappointed because there's no way they included even close to all like 80 vocal songs throughout the entire series, but like if they don't have A Zip to the Moon I'll cry, really. A Zip to the Moon is the only thing that could truly make me believe in a god.

It'd also be cool if they added the Lola versions of every Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 song but they won't because the god of A Zip to the Moon hates me :(

If there is a SINGLE Luminous Avenger iX song my face will go from :) to :( INSTANTLY, and then it'll go back to :) when I see A Zip to the Moon because it'll be there, surely! They took away her robot voice she sounds like shit bring back bootleg Hatsune Miku!

I'm sure it's gonna have like, all of the Gunvolt 3 songs because it's the newest one, so very excited to hear 90% of that game's soundtrack for the first time, not in the game that they originated from because I still have not played 3 beyond the demo despite it releasing over a year ago. But like the two songs from it that I have heard are really good so I'm sure the rest is too, Ergo Sum and Glass Paradise are both pretty cool.

Whoever made the decision to release Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 on the same day as both Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Digimon Survive is a psychopath and my worst enemy.

For funsies they should also add like 1 Mega Man Zero song just as like a little reference to their past works, y'know some games do that they could do that there wouldn't be any rights issues or anything please I just want Innocence from Mega Man ZX to exist again it's like the A Zip to the Moon of Mega Man Zero it's so good please Mr. Inti Creates I'll stop calling you a psychopath I promise.

I can't wait for this game to just be a shitty Persona 3/5 Dancing tier cash-grab rhythm game with only like 10 of the worst songs from the entire series that costs $50 and kills the series because it didn't sell well enough.

Removing the mechanic from the final boss of 2 where you had to sing into the 3DS microphone (or just blow into the mic) in the Steam version was the worst thing that happened since capitalism. Like yea they couldn't really realistically implemented it without like, requiring you to have a mic hooked up for literally one 30 second portion of the final boss but like, I'm still mad >:C

First of all, I gotta say that if I COULD add all kagepro songs in the game, I would. The fact that we have an idol character in the series but no MMJ covers is a crime and that's why I'm adding this song.

Haruka, Shizuku, and Airi have all shown hesitation toward being an idol in the main story. One because of the public attention not being what they wanted out of it (Airi), and another because they don't feel like they deserve to be called an idol anymore (Haruka and Shizuku). To be fair, at this point Kisaragi attention seems a little out of character, but the three of them all experienced a lot of hesitation toward their occupations and got over it. I also think Minori (and MMJ Rin) embody the clumsy and insecure nature of the MC in the song.

Dream-eating monochrome baku - Nem

Unit: Wonderlands x Showtime Singers: Rui, Tsukasa, Len

Hmm remember what I said last time about not wanting to repeat the same pairings over and over again-

I couldn't NOT give this song to these three. I think the vibe of the song fits them so well and Rui especially would sound good in the chorus. Also I want to hear the little 'oh!'s in the song LMAO. They already added it's a wonderful cat life so... I vote for this one too :D

A happy death - Kikuo

Unit: Nightcord at 25:00 Singers: Kanade, Mafuyu, (+ Miku)

I think people forget how pretty this song is since it gets overshadowed by Kikuo's other works, but I think it deserves a spot on here. (Not that it isn't a popular song of course but it's just not the first song people think of when they think of Kikuo.)

Kanade's character and her whole 'wanting to save people with her music' somewhat falls into place with the song. 'Saving' is being represented by killing the 'you' in the song, which is definitely not what we're trying to do-

But if we really want to go into the nitty gritty, we can say that we are saving Mafuyu by killing the 'good girl' persona she is putting up. Let's not take the song too literally haha.

(+ Kanade would sound nice singing this song.)

Sugar Guitar - Police Piccadilly

Unit: Leo/Need Singers: L/N + Len

The sound fits well since its instrumental is pretty straightforward for bands. The theme of 'trying to find what you want to do in the future and going for it' fits well since L/N is still trying to find their sound and identity and what they want their band to be (I mean, 'resonating with you' was literally all about what they wanted to do in the future).

Also, it's a bop.

(I must add that there is no official translation of the title but I think most people know the song as 'Wanting To Die In My Teens, Wanting To Kill In My Twenties') Unit: Nightcord at 25:00 Singers: Mizuki, Mafuyu, KAITO

I wanted to add in a Nashimoto-P song but I think most of them fall in a genre that don't line up with the game. It was either this one or AaAaAaAAaAaAAa, but after Mafuyu's character development on JP, I think this one fits better.

Unit: VIVID BAD SQUAD Singers: Akito & Toya

Hmmm I love this song sm. The main reason I put this song with VBS is because of how it sounds. I noticed a lot of VBS' songs are more rhythmic...? In nature? I'm not sure how to describe it because I never took music classes (all the terminology is above me).

The themes in the song are what lead me to giving it to the good ol' BAD DOGS with no vocaloids added into the mix. From what I'm getting, the MC despises the life they've been living and they feel like they're stuck in a loop of breaking, fixing, and masking themselves. They start to hate the person they're becoming. I think they end up leading a life of anger and spite, but instead find their salvation (the 'you' in the song) which is probably what the 'corruption' in the title refers to.

The song is pretty hard to interpret considering that the story is told from the MC's perspective, but nevertheless, I think it has enough tie-ins with Akito and Toya that I gave it to them.

Toya needed an escape from his home-life which stemmed from spite and in turn brought him to Akito. Akito needed something to help fulfill his desire to be worth something more which brought him to music (and to Toya).

Now sidenote: the themes are also N25 themes, but I don't know how many other people have noticed this but Toya's and Mafuyu's stories are incredibly similar. They would literally be in the same position storywise if it wasn't for the fact that Toya had the Tenmas to open his eyes earlier on in his life.

But that's a whole different tangent for a different day OOP

Yuukei Yesterday - JIN

Unit: MORE MORE JUMP! Singers: Minori, Haruka, Miku

FINE. ANOTHER KAGEPRO SONG FOR MMJ. SUE ME! (Don't)

Yuukei yesterday is just so upbeat and wholesome. I think it fits with Minori's awkwardness when interacting with Haruka even if she isn't a tsundere like the MC of the song. I think her vocals would be really cute in the chorus ueueue

Common world domination - Pinocchio-P

Unit: Wonderlands x Showtime Singers: WxS + Rin

I had to double check if this song was in the game or not. I think it could work nicely as a WxS cover since the song is so nonsensical and upbeat. I think any of the WxS members could sound great taking the lead in this song.

But despite that I also think they could also just add the original in the game as a VIRTUAL SINGER song instead of a unit cover :0

My discovery - Seeeeecun

With 'Light up the fire' being... a thing... and Taiga essentially saying all their efforts are going to waste since it's impossible for them to surpass RAD WEEKEND I think adding this song could be interesting.

From what I'm getting, the MC is reflecting on how useless they've become with their future amounting to nothing despite their best efforts. They see themselves as a failure and see their past confidence as nothing but a falsely inflated ego.

I really wanted to add this producer to the list because I think their music is very interesting. I think the word for what they add is 'dissonance'? Anyway, go take a look if you've got time :D

Howling is a song about a werewolf who is portrayed by Gumi (I am assuming she's a werewolf based on the lyrics and music video) and a Vampire portrayed by Miku (I am assuming again based on the music video and lyrics). The song goes on to show them 'hunting' the other by using their natural instincts.

My analysis:

You (probably as the vampire- although maybe not in the literal sense) and someone else (there werewolf) were probably in a heated and intense relationship, I can't say if it was long term or not based on this song alone.

Ngl this is funny to me because of Koga's mere existence, however I don't want this to be the only thing that points to a possible romantic relationship between the two of you- You know yourself best and so forth.

Regretful Promise by Spores-P ft Gumi | Lyrics

This song is about being manipulated and lied to, told from the perspective of a princess who was tricked into giving him her soul for three months. The demon then starts killing people she's close to (including her family) in an attempt to guilt trip her into staying with him forever. Although this song is specifically about her running away from the demon and plotting to be free from him.

My analysis:

From my POV this could link you being in a situation where you wanted to (and eventually did) run from which felt like your soul was literally sold and/or trapped by whomever you sold it to.

This song used to have an offical meaning, while the document has been deleted while looking around online, I found that it might represent the inner psyche of a boy who hates himself and his thoughts, seeing them as an 'enemy' to himself and being hateful towards that part of him.

My analysis: I don't think you liked yourself (or at least a part of you) very much. You probably viewed yourself as a problem or an 'enemy' to those around you. You couldn't understand that side to you or why it would do the things it did.

As a disclaimer this song isn't about being a system (as far as I know), however in psychology it's common to separate yourself into different 'parts' which is what I believe this song is referring to.

My favorite song is Meltdown by Iroha!!!! Specifically the 2012 YouTube reupload because the low audio quality adds to the song for me lmao (there's a slight audio difference between the original upload and the song as it's presented in successive album versions such as the Vocalostar or Vocalogemini albums, and I must admit I like the old one better). It's incredible how no matter how many times I've listened to it, hearing that song doesn't stop feeling like a spiritual experience. The music is so unspeakably good, the lyrics speak directly to my heart. And I love the Rin tuning!!! Despite being my favorite vocaloid character, Rin is far from being my favorite voicebank; that being said, Iroha's tuning of her is truly marvelous! Now, their Miku tuning is beautiful too, Moon is another wonderful song. But like, there's an infinity of Miku songs with gorgeus tuning, while I usually don't like most of Rin's tuning styles (then again, it's all up to personal preference really). Yet I absolutely adore the vocals of this song!!!! I feel like Rin is such an extremely fit, spot on choice for this song: it's so impactful to listen to such an emotionally charged song being expressed by a voicebank that's otherwise frequently used for cheerful, light-hearted songs; it really enriches the song by adding to the feeling of having lost the happiness of childhood and having to now face an indifferent and cynical world. I really like the nuclear reactor theme, it evokes such a beautiful imaginary!! The way it's clean, aseptic, lonely- I feel like the loneliness is such a central aspect of this song. This total, devastating feeling of loneliness that envelops the whole song- the impression of complete isolation and detachment from the world. The inability to connect while drowning in your own sadness, the way everything feels far and unreachable. But it's a kind of loneliness that's different from the heavy, black kind of loneliness, the one that leaves you depressed and upset, the one that comes with missing others; this is the kind of loneliness that leaves you numb, the loneliness of feeling that you could speak, even scream, but nobody would be able to hear, the loneliness of feeling like you're alone in the world. The feeling of being isolated, just Rin and herself, is so overwhelming in this song, it's beautiful! It's just her, and the ghost of who she used to be who she wants to kill, and her depression; she's helpless and alone in the universe. Sorry for possibly sounding redundant but it really speaks to me of how mental disabilities can effect people, of the immense struggle mentally ill people experience that keeps them from connecting with the outside world- everyone else don't even feel like people, they're just distant sounds and vague impressions (“On the other side of the veranda, // The sound of footsteps climbing the stairs” “A TV host // Someone there I just can't see // Their laughter echoes as it swells”).

And the beautiful way this loneliness ties with the always present theme of modernity, city, industrialization! It's present in the pv, in the folding skyscrapers of the song's logo, in the oh so beautiful lyrics that draw from an urban and industrial vocabulary and imaginary (“The city is filled with brilliant light” “The lighter's out of oil” and of course the nuclear reactor). The concepts of industrialization and individualization tangle in a way that, if I can dare to namedrop, is reminiscent of Max Weber's sociological theories, where rationalization leads to the world progressively becoming a senseless machine, a big mechanism sustained by causal laws; as well as Georg Simmel's portrayal of the Metropolis as a place that is so chaotic and filled with everything, nothing has value, where the individual is infinitely free and infinitely detached, infinitely lonely (the frenzy of the city being nicely represented by the song's countdown, by the crowded images of grey, faceless people in the pv, by the “everything seems to move so quickly”). Back to Weber, in Meltdown rationalization and individualization having a direct correlation in the way that the supreme achievement of technology, the nuclear reactor, is also the ultimate expression of isolation: Rin is infinitely alone in the reactor, which also represents the limbo between life and death.

Gosh, that was supposed to be a quick note on the loneliness as it's portrayed in Meltdown- that's just one of the many gorgeus themes the song tackles! Following up, Rin's conflictual relationship with her past self. Aah, if I don't feel that on an intimate level. She wants to kill her past self, because the knowledge that you'll never get that happiness back is too painful to bear, so you'd rather have it like that happiness never happened at all. Rin strangles her child self, clinically, emotionlessly; and little Rin stares back, calm, I like to imagine, almost pitiful. Rin hates that child, because if her young self had never existed, then she's wouldn't have to be there, she wouldn't have to put up with her current state of inescapable pain and depression, she would finally be free from all the suffering. And the song is all a silent scream about wanting to be liberated- the wish to be able to be free from pain, the wish to finally be able to sleep at night (“2AM, and I can't sleep” is one of the very first lines of the song). The song speaks about that tiredness that comes with depression; Rin just wants to disappear, not really out of tangible sadness or self-hatred, but to put an end to the draining feeling of weariness (“If I dive into the nuclear reactor // Then I'll be able to sleep as I did long ago”; please also notice the regret for what used to be and isn't anymore). The finding peace in disappearing, finding beauty in ending it all (“If everything is such a lie // Then it really would be better” “I want to dive into // a nuclear reactor // Surrounded by beautiful blue light”).

But finally, the reconciliation between Rin and her past self taking place in the song's bridge! The incredible shift in music, from hectic and cold to calm and soft, relieving. It's breathtaking. The incredible change in visuals! From the cluttered, distorted, fake, alienating visuals of the city and reactor to the simple, fully empty background of the sea. The coming to terms with accepting the duality of own's nature in the words “allegro, agitato”. The somewhat antique scenario of the building old Rin and young Rin are in, juxtaposed to the city and advanced technology of the nuclear reactor. And Rin taking the hand of younger Rin. And Rin with the dress of young Rin, giving in and crying desperate. It's all so mesmerizing! To think she was able to make up with her young self– the miraculously serene atmosphere. The finding the peace you'd never thought you could find. The finally accepting your past self, the stopping to hate them, the stopping wanting them to die and, by extension, stopping wanting yourself to die as well- it's beautiful! It's gorgeus, I love this song.

The way it all builds up to the climax of the Meltdown- seriously, the visible countdown of the pv is such a brilliant imaginary. THE CONSEQUENTIAL BREAKDOWN WHICH IS JUST, SO COOL. RIN'S UNRESTRAINED SCREAM, GOD. The fact that you literally can't get up untill you allowed yourself to fall!!!!! Rin reaching the lowest point and finally giving in to her pain - which she never allowed herself to, so numb, so empty, so emotionless - as the first, necessary step towards healing. The way it says no healing can start until one has reached the bottom of their desperation, the final point of breaking- but there's hope after that, you know? The desperation of Rin's scream, but how there's only going up after it- there must be.

The thing is, despite everything, despite everything, this really doesn't come off as a sad song to me. There's so much serenity, there's so much finality, there's so much peace in the ending. How could I not adore this with everything I've got? It's physically impossible. It says: you're broken beyond repairing, but you can still be. There'll come a day when you will come to terms with your child self, you will take them by the hand, you will stop hating them and hating yourself. Despite being so flawed and imperfect and a glitch in the system, you're still allowed to live. It's what I love the most, more than anything already mentioned; nothing, and this time I think I mean it, nothing hits me as hard as going “the world is broken; but meybe there's still a reason to keep living. Maybe there's still a way to be okay.” Her final statement is just so liberating for me: “A morning without me // Would be perfect // Where everything is in gear // That sort of world, definitely...” - a world without me would be perfect; and yet, her expression is so serene in the end. A world without me would be perfect; yet Rin doesn't take her life, she just accepts her imperfect presence in the world. A world without me would be perfect; still, I'll keep going on, just because! Just because maybe one day I'll be able to see that shore I saw when I was a child again, and maybe I'll see that happiness again.

It's. idk it's about the bitter side of deeply knowing the world would be better off without you, but finding the serenity of keeping living anyway. I strive to it. Just. the growing climax that leads to the inescapable breakdown, and the peace and tranquility of the ending. I want that peace and tranquility! I want to know everything is okay even if nothing is okay. I want to be able to find the will to live even despite knowing the world is ugly. I want to see that sunset at the end of the song!

Not to mention the pv visuals are stunning, I love them so much!! Rin's grown up design is fantastic, I love her black and white outfit... I feel like the white / black / yellow trichotomy it creates to be so impactful, a sort of visual representation of thesis / antithesis / synthesis. Everything about this song I feel like has the power to shake me to the core!!!! Project Diva's Reactor module (which was also designed by the pv's illustrator nagimiso) is truly beautiful as well, but for me it lacks the mature, disillusioned vibes of the original outfit- to me Meltdown is a lot about having lost one's childhood that goes together with having lost one's happiness, coming to terms with it and eventually finding peace in coming to terms with your past and your place in the world, and the new design juvenile vibes kinda miss that. And just AAAAAAAAA nothing I say could ever make the song justice which is very frustrating, but I love it tons!!!!! And the lyrics, sis, believe me when I say I could talk about them forever. They just have such a remarkable poetry to them! “In the scattering twilight // The sun is red, like teary eyes” “The words overflow from your // dried up lips, like foam” “so the memories melt away to white”. It's just that aaaaaaahhh Meltdown is *my* song, like no other song speaks to my soul like this one does. I love it so much.

Wait who the hecketh are Meri and Cori? (I know they are perceptions of the NSRtsits the fanbase has turned entitles but...)

Also I found the Rika and Yuta sentiment of perceptions making entities fucking adorable!

Oh did I not announce them here yes? My bad!

Meri and Cori are going to be redesigns based off of my old MayEve and RinZuke fusions I did (technically not old MayEve as it will be the second fusion I base her off of lol).

RinZuke is named Cori (short for Coriander), and MayEve is named Meri (short for Turmeric). A commenter on DeviantArt came up with these names and I liked them which is why they stuck lol.

These two are also the ones who are leading the attack on Vinyl City as they (mainly Meri) see themselves as the true Megastars as they were made from the perception of the masses. So to them, they are being true when presenting themselves to the world while the Megastars are faking their personalities.

This is in the similar vein of how Jogo believes curses are the true humans, which is still true in the Eriverse, he's just content to live with humans until they die off then hopefully entities will rule the world (which does sorta kinda happen in 1000 years lol).

But yea, Meri and Cori believe even harder that they are the true Megastars/performers because they were made from the LOVE of humans instead of the HATE. So they believe themselves and entities like Entity Yuta, Entity Rika, and Hatsune Miku to be the true versions of themselves and not knockoffs (which is what most other people would see given an outside perspective).

This is actually probably gonna be a little arc that Kiw1 and Ber1 go through, because those two ARE actual knock-offs created by a creator who was copying 1010, Sayu, and Eve. So when those two were on the entity's side, they probably butted heads a low with Cori and Meri as Kiw1 and Ber1 wanted to become their own people and detach from their origins while Meri and (kinda) Cori want to kill off and replace their origins.

I will definitely try to make some art of all 4 of these characters since they all need to be redesigned and honestly do have some pretty important parts in the story that I can't leave them in the dark for that much longer (same with Maki, Mai, and Noritoshi, those three definitely need their Eriverse designs soon).

Also, I'm glad you like my explanation for why entity Rika and Yuta act the way they do! It was something that I was kinda working on with Swap Curse Yuta, as he is a LOT more docile than OG Curse Rika, and I was trying to find ways of why that was, and technically I just think for the JJKverse it is because of their personalities.

However, in the Eriverse, since Yuta and Rika don't die, the entity versions of them can't take those personalities. So instead it is the perceptions from the humans that creates the entities! (which I either used for Cori and Meri, or used it first for Cori and Meri and then applied it to entities Yuta and Rika. I forget which but honestly I think Cori and Meri were first then ET!Rika and ET!Yuta)

I cant believe there's 9 episodes of precure heartcacth left for me to wcath!!!

I defintly very much enjoyed the series so far. Cure sunshine (itsuki) is my favorite but I really like Cure moonlight ( Yuri) as well!!!

I can't wait to get into the full series then. I wcathed heart catch the best one to see if like the formula and such .. can't wait to get to suite because it has cure macaron there and uhermm she's voiced by mikus vp AND is purple and SHES A SAPPHIC??? I like her so much already!!!!!!!!!!! I don't even know much about her other than those things!!!!!
