heyyyyy so if you are into the terror and for some reason you haven't yet, you should read madhouse at the end of the earth, a book about a similar polar expedition that took place ~50 years later on the other side of the world. it's delicious in how it portrays the crew and their interactions. roald amundsen and frederick cook in particular have a frankly adorable relationship that i cannot get enough of. cook had been to the arctic before this voyage and amundsen, still somewhat green, decided he was going to learn all he could from cook. cook recognized amundsen's indominable will and intelligence and knew he'd be a great companion. when they were stuck on the ice they'd go on small expeditions to areas around the ship together, just the two of them, testing the environment and their ability to survive it. they'd stay up late and talk about their plans for future expeditions, invent new and improved polar equipment like tents better designed to withstand squalls, share wild fantasies on how to make the world a better place. they trusted each other implicitly. and towards the ends of their lives, amundsen made the trip from norway to a kansas penitentiary to greet his old friend. cook, an unreliable narrator in his later career, would later describe how amundsen sat next to him in his cell, clasped his hand, and never let go for the several hours they conversed, reminiscing on their time on the ice together. whether that physical contact happened or not is up to debate. but even if it didn't happen, how telling is it that cook would claim such an intimacy in his published memoirs? how badly must he have wanted the world to know the tenderness of his relationship to this man? anyways please read this book and help me petition someone to make the belgica expedition its own show so i can watch amundsen and cook be besties in the harrowing antarctic winter with their adopted penguin bebe

Idk why, but recently every time I've had a negative thought (or a thought in general) Zac Bagans keeps manifesting in my head giving me emotional whiplash.

I agree with you about Capcom bringing Nash back for SF6! I even made a post in my Threads account about him if Bison comes back, then there is a chance he might return! Please Capcom! Bring my boy back in the series! You been neglecting him for far too long!

I could go on about how I think they could bring Nash back in SF6 for AGES. The sheer fact that F.A.N.G. lived and is in SF6 (Fang Fei/Foo, A.K.I.'s master) makes me think that Nash probably survived his bout with Bison in some degree and could come back but there's so many ways they can go about it they could make it really insane if they wanted to.

They could have the Secret Society/Illuminati revive him again to use as an agent to gain ground against Shadaloo and potentially leverage Gill/the Society into higher threat standing (villain).

They could tie Darkstalkers semi-into Street Fighter and say that the Nash we would see is him after escaping the Makai and give him some more wacky magic-like powers (and give Darkstalkers fans like myself some more crumbs to survive on for a while lol).

They could lean into the Nash/Shadow setup from Marvel vs. Capcom and say that Shadaloo had/has him and the Nash we get to see is totally brainwashed into servitude by Bison or has escaped his brainwashing but like Cammy has no memories of his past. Or hell, just bring 'Shadow' back and it's just Nash but under a different name with different goals in mind!

But those are just my ideas after all.

Capcom needs to give us Nash STAT. I need to see my boy again!

I'm so far behind on things I just saw your post (because I follow you and saw lore babies on my dash and then read them and was like. wow I already love them lemme just reblog and support these kids). aw! If you do I'll be excited to see any babies that come from it! I said it in my tags but I'll write it again! I see your lore babies post (and even before I had taken a break from fr and stuff just your lore was always amazing and I love it on my dash) and honestly, I have to FIGHT to not want to buy all of them instantly. I am absolutely weak to lore babies. I love it and just you're so creative and I'm sitting over here going: wow look at me needing all of them and then having to go look at my hoard and bank being like, gotta count the monies to throw at you thanks.

So many people have such good lore stories/ideas for their dragons on site and I'm just like. I don't need any money as I sob into my empty bank when I find out people are selling lore bbs. There is no saving money but I'm trying my best. But yeah!!! I have two from you specifically from that pair are: Caron and Margeaux. I'm pretty sure I drew Margeaux a couple years ago before I sort of took a break from everything? I love them and I have the problem of NOT writing down lore stuff I have for all of the babies I own because boo anxiety. A lot of the time I just go and re-read the lore you wrote for them (and other people who I've bought lore dragons from) and just go. yes. perfect. the best children.
