listen there really was just something about how in the book, snow’s 3-page descent from hesitant lover boy to deluded mfer happens entirely in his mind. lucy gray gives him no indication whatsoever that she suspects him, that she’s going to leave or betray him. he’s just sitting quietly in the cabin waiting for her to return when that seed of calculated suspicion, which he has needed to survive the capitol, takes a hold of him and chokes the life out of any goodness left inside him. it really drives home your terror as a reader that “oh my god did he kill her? did she escape? what happened to her? why would he even think that?” in a way that when the movie had to adjust for visualization it lost some of that holy shit this guy has lost it emphasis.

How do you imagine Levan/Revan/ Mallenoa's husband?

Appearance, personality etc.

Revaan/Laverne/whatever-his-name-is's title sort of implies that he might be from a fantasy-Eastern country (they've established that in Twstland, 竜 = Eastern-style dragons, andドラゴン = Western-style dragons). and that's about as much as we know right now about...anything in regards to what he might look like. so I've been trying very hard not to form too much of a mental picture of him, because I'm still hoping we'll get to see him (or at least a silhouette)! ergo, in my head, he kind of looks like this:

I do think the funniest thing about what we've learned so far is that Malleus being kind of quiet and reserved and dignified...absolutely did not come from the Draconias. and he sure as heck did not learn it from Lilia. so he probably got a lot of that from his dad! the vibe I get from how Lilia talks about him is that he could be a bit of a prim little fancyboy sometimes, but was (mostly) willing to go along with his wife's zany antics out of love. he sounds sweet, honestly! I'm sorry he (maybe) died. :(

my favorite thing about Mal's parents is that Malenoa and Lilia's dynamic was "long-suffering guard and princess who has long been the cause of said suffering":

Bruce being a wolf in Beast World actually fits him really well.

Wolves are believed to be loners, we even label people as "lone wolf" when they live on their own and don't seek interaction with others. But this is not the truth, wolves are actually family-oriented animals. They live with a pack, which is their family. The Alpha wolf theory, when it was proved false, showed that in the wild, the "Alpha" of the pack were the parents, often the mother, because the other wolves are their kids. And yes, wolves can go through period were they are alone, but this "lone wolf" period is them looking for another wolf to start a family with. They are looking for a family, because they know they need one.

Now, apply this to Batman, aka Bruce Wayne. He is believed to be a loner, but what he is actually doing when he is alone is looking for a family. He is actually family-oriented and not a loner at all, he is happier with his family, with his kids around. He is suicidal when he has no kids or family, and once he has them, he finds being alive easier.

Also, very protective of his kids, like a mama wolf that will fight to the death to protect her kids, even the ones that aren't actually wolves but she found them, so they are hers.

The fact that the fragment of Mythal we meet couldn't exist outside the sanctuary Solas specifically built for her while he hoped and waited for her to join his rebellion...

(1) When we meet Mythal, she's been stewing in her own pain and anger for a few thousand years, so we have to take everything she says with a grain of salt, but - she's clearly pissed he rebelled against her.

(2) When we see Solas's Regrets, he tells her, "I didn't think you'd come." It sounds like they haven't spoken to each other in forever - likely since the moment he rebelled. He thought she wouldn't want to see him, let alone speak with him.

There was no plan! Solas was just waiting for her to come around to his view point! And he was so sure or so hopeful that he built a place for her!

And then he warns her about the evanuris, and she freaking dies!

Everything he had spent - who knows, thousands of years - hoping and waiting and dreaming for is just destroyed! She's gone. And he blames himself. To the point that when he frees her soul from the dagger used to murder her, he can't even face her.

But the fragment of her soul survives in the one place he spent so long imagining she should one day inhabit. She would never become the person he envisioned her as. But that piece of her soul that's bitter about him and her friends that betrayed her somehow can exist in that place of hope and love that he built.

Yes! For starters she is actually shared OC! I’ve said this before but she’s shared between me and @spjs ! She first appeared briefly in Lost Opportunity and I absolutely fell in LOVE with her and JDs relationship like I legit could not see him without her in my mind SOOOO I uh… kidnapped her

She is the oldest of two siblings

She has partial iridescence in her hair

She and JD dated in high school

She hadn’t learned to cook until having a child (her parents wouldn’t let her near the stove)

She learned how to support herself and be independent through trial and error (self made woman)

She is very into wood carving and has made most of her own cutlery and dish ware

She also makes her own clothes, and has a knack for cross stitch

Unlike her son, she has no known allergies (Lief is allergic to stout berries)

She fights hard for what she wants but occasionally needs a push to start the fight

She both has a need to be in control of every situation but hates controlling people which occasionally leads to action paralysis

She has a deep love for her music and nature

Her favorite colors are pink and mermaid green and comprise most of her normal wardrobe (unless I’m playing dress up doll with her hehehehe)

Her voice claim for me is Penelope (Anna Lea) from Epic

I said she’s the oldest of 2 because she has a younger brother named Jasper! He was part of the group cut off during the last trolls time so Jade thinks he’s dead (and blames herself for it)

This is what he looks like! He’s a fully iridescent troll which means his colors shift in the light, he was favored by their parents because of it but hated both the attention and the way they treated Jade. Jade and him were very close and despite her objections he fully supported her moving out even if it meant leaving him behind. (He also lost an arm during the last trollstice so ye hehehehe)

i do not think i will ever move on from the fact that to haymitch, katniss everdeen is an embodiment of all the ghosts from his past come back to haunt him twenty four years later, a reminder of every single person he cared about and failed to save the first time around, in the form of a surly, unagreeable sixteen year old girl from the seam, and how he made it his mission to make sure she made it out of that arena alive, for all the times he couldn't protect anyone before

Psst this makes no sense timewise but fucky Stephjay where teenage Jason briefly worked for Cluemaster to pay for food/rent.

I doubt Jason would be a drug runner as a kid but I can see him as a lookout or maybe bodyguard/errand boy for the Browns.

YOUR MIND MY GOD THIS IS SO GOOD

Jason working for Cluemaster is *so* good, my god. especially if Jason doesn't want to be there and doesn't like it, but he has no other option to pay the bills (i think this would be a fun AU to keep Catherine alive in, maybe he's trying desperately to pay medical bills to ensure she keeps getting medication she needs which makes him even more desperate for money and willing to do things he wouldn't normally) so he starts working for small time villains, ones he thinks won't be as bad as Joker or the like. which lands him as a goon for Cluemaster and somehow, he's either useful or interesting enough to Arthur that he decides to keep promoting Jason. until one day, he offers a very high pay raise for Jason to look after Steph. it's not necessarily that Arthur cares about Steph or her mother, but he does care about his reputation so when someone threatens his family, he needs to save face.

i think this could be fun to explore before Jason becomes Robin (maybe making him Robin a *little* later just so he and Steph have a significant time together as teenagers). and Jason ends up sort of close to this spunky, angry kid of Arthur Brown who calmly tells Jason she is going to do everything in her power to get her father behind bars and she's sorry but not sorry if and when that lands Jason out of a job. bc maybe she's suspicious of Jason first, bc what kind of guy willingly works for Cluemaster, but then, as she learns more about where he is in life, she Gets it. she understands bc she sees the shady things her own mother, Crystal does to get by under Arthur's thumb.

when Jason vanishes bc he becomes Robin, Steph is disappointed but she gets it. Bruce Wayne suddenly publically has a new ward and hell, Steph can't blame a guy for taking that chance bc that kind of money will *definitely* help Catherine. Steph's life goes on with her father being her father.

it's a bit unrealistic but. i sort of like the idea that when Jason dies, Bruce is so caught up in grief and funeral proceedings and anger that he sort of forgets about Catherine. and Steph will be damned if Catherine Todd is forgotten about and left to rot as a childless mother. i'd love to write Steph and Crystal finding the money to manage to keep Catherine afloat as well and Steph getting really close to Catherine bc of it. also would be fun if Steph becomes Spoiler partly in honor of Jason bc (not knowing he was Robin) she wants to do the good he never got to.

and THEN the fucked up-ness of it all that Steph finds out Jason was Robin when she takes up the torch and so quickly dies afterward she never fully gets to process how she feels about that. how to handle her pride in Jason for getting to be more than what he was versus her anger at Bruce for letting him die. and on the horrible flip side, Jason comes back and finds out Bruce let another kid die as Robin, and that kid was *Steph*. he finds out it was Steph who kept his mom alive, Steph who died in a mantle that should've ended with Jason and he's even angrier at Bruce. i do think he'd kill Black Mask in a slow, painful way to avenge her since clearly, Bruce can't.

and then Steph comes back and there's all the complicated feelings i just. oh your brain this is such a good idea i want to write it so bad. anything that explores connections Jason and Steph could've had before Bruce because they truly deserve to be more entangled than they already are. let them be weird about each other DC.

What did/do you like about Pharah?

Uh, gameplay-wise, I really love characters in shooters who rely on three-dimensional movement techs. Chaining together hover and jump to stay in the air for as long as possible and keep momentum is so satisfying, and picking enemies off from the sky made me feel like a bird of prey. I was a good Pharah main.

Story-wise, there unfortunately isn't much to canonically go off because Pharah is so underutilized and neglected. Her personality's pretty boilerplate "heroic hero" (she's literally inspired by Captain America).

But it's the crumbs/bits and pieces that I really latched onto. Pharah's a confirmed lesbian; her short story with Baptiste implies she harbors a crush on Mercy (fucking thank you.). She's biracial Egyptian/First Nations. She has major mommy issues, having grown up both admiring and resenting Ana. She's the bridge between Old Overwatch, inspired by the idealized heroes who surrounded her childhood, and New Overwatch. She's one of the only inter-generational characters in the cast; someone whose experiences span the gap, which is why I seriously believe Pharah would make a great main character.

There isn't much to go off of, though; she's a very uncomplicated character (she's a soldier for a private military corporation, lol.). But that just means she's a blank slate character, so I've seen fanfic writers run wild and create some really interesting takes on her. My favorite interpretation of her's a dense, herbo gym-bro type (a lot of her liens are about work outs, exercising, and playing sports) who's easily excitable under her seemingly self-serious, armored visage. We see how she tends to gloat and hype herself up when she's on a streak too, so Pharah definitely has a competitive and boastful side under her more professional and militant performance.

Now Mercy? Mercy is a real complex character.

im obsessed with pomni cus shes one of the most multifaceted characters ive ever seen in a way that doesnt feel so contradictory that its inconsistent. she is nice but also shes impatient and snippy but also her response to stress is to stop thinking OR to bolt OR to start hitting things and launching herself at things and which of these she picks is almost completely random except for the slight degree that what is scaring her influences which one it is. she is jaded but also she is not jaded. she is easily frightened but can also handle being extremely scared for a long time. under mild pressure she can work on solving problems relatively calmly. shes selfish but also she tries to help when she can. she is an asshole under pressure. she is shockingly quiet and casual under normal circumstances. shes not receptive to reassurance half the time but the other half of the time she appreciates it. she is distrustful of others. shes severely logical but also spends a lot of time too stressed to think and is easily confused. she is very observant and can put things together in her environment but also she has no clue whats going on and is often guessing. she knows what larping and collisions are and how to exploit design flaws in the game. despite her fearful nature she is calm in social settings. she is bad at socializing but engages in it frequently. she is emotionally intelligent but also has to be not scared first. despite not being quick to comfort she is very good at knowing how to cheer people up. she is comfortable speaking her mind and is extremely blunt. she gets annoyed at inconsistency and things being loud and active and eventful. she hates being in a game it pisses her off and upsets her but also shes the only player weve seen to get EXTREMELY invested in the npcs, even more than ragatha. theres so much to her. theres so much to her i never stop thinking about her
