yay! I drew these quite literally three years ago. dragonheart!milo and raihan! a knight on a doomed dragon hunt being lifted out of his station by a small village medicine man. together they become magic lawyers and overthrow the government
the main details in these do survive into the iterations I’ve drawn (instead of these actual designs I spent time to make el oh el): the “leaf” diamond quilt/gambeson and the plaited coattail for milo, the “atypical” weapons, long coat, and large number of scattered fake gold trims and accessories for raihan. I think I lost raihan the hat and added a cape for milo further down the line because like this their general silhouettes are too similar for my liking lol

cyno: delivery for you.
alhaitham: …this letter is from you
cyno: yes. i’d already written it by the time i realized i didn’t trust anyone else to bring it to you
alhaitham: you could just tell me what it says then since you’re already here
cyno: i can’t say it out loud in your office
alhaitham: ah. so it must be a fairly sensitive case—
alhaitham: cyno.
cyno: what?
alhaitham: this just says that you think i’m pretty
cyno: yes, because i do and - considering the nature of our current relationship - i thought i should let you know.
alhaitham: again— you could just tell me?
cyno, frowning: we’re at work, that would be unprofessional. though i suppose you’ve already breached the line by reading it out loud so please be more considerate next time :/

A lack of a Hold-Up mechanic in strikers means that Zenkichi has never witnessed these kids corner and mug shadows for every little penny theyre worth. I think he would lose his mind. Hes trotting around the metaverse w teenagers that have too much experience holding shadows at gunpoint to get what they want. When did this become his life. Neko shogun throws out a snuff soul as an offering and Akira doesnt remove the gun from its face. ‘You can do better than that.’ What the hell do u mean??? Its a fucking cat! It throws another snuff soul on the ground in fear before Akira decides to finally lower the gun and let the cat run off. At least they arent killing the damn things w their backs turned.

forcing myself to "eat protein" and "be responsible" after once again encountering a week long period of all my muscles hurt so bad and are so weak despite doing the same thing they always do assuming without checking that it was probably because im eating mostly coffee and plain untoasted bread in small quantities. and its not even a whey bread or 100% whole wheat, ive been trying to use up my bread flour/whole wheat blend (i dumped them in the bucket together, maybe on accident ? unclear) so its just that with whatever else i threw in. spent $6 on the only yogurt in the store that had at least 5 grams of protein per 1/4 cup, which is still very little, only to get home and finally google what the symptoms of protein deficiency are. they are not that. those are the symptoms of Who Fucking Knows, As Always

i dont trust ppl who hold ed not stepping in on izzy and stede’s duel against him, like
to one end sure there would have been good intent behind that action if he’d done it but it gets outweighed by the hurt i think. stede is an adult who knows exactly what challenge he’s accepting.
if ed steps in there and puts a stop to it and orders izzy away, what happens is he undermines stede in front of stede’s crew, he disrespects stede’s autonomy, he fully indicates that he thinks stede isn’t capable of handling himself. and like izzy probably gets in another fun little jab about exactly that, about stede being a pet etc etc.
you’ll have ed’s relief that stede is safe, but then you’ll have stede feeling hurt bc ed didn’t believe he could handle it (and we would lose a fun very clever strategy moment from stede too tbh). then next ep instead of a gay treasure hunt lucius has to explain that stede cares So Much about ed’s opinion of him while he and ed dangle over a shark pit or something bc stede went off on a hare trying to prove himself
at the end of the day it’s about respect. like even if izzy bursts into the middle of the gentlebeard wedding ceremony and challenges stede to a duel and stede says “yeah fine i accept,” ed can’t just hop in there. idk.
