I've made this TMA phone wallpaper cause I couldn't quite find one that I liked. The hyper is, in fact, fixating. Sorry that it's pretty much only useful for my specific phone layout but feel free to mess around with it to make it fit yours if you can!

*thinks about how I need to clear out my clothes so I can properly sort my new ones and take care of those I won't wear anymore*
*realizes Halloween is coming up and I have that whole week off*
*realizes I've got a lot of mix and match pieces I can put together for costumes*
I wonder if I can dress myself up as an avatar for each of the 15 Fears in The Magnus Archives...

The Magnus Archives Playlists
I think my favs of the curated batch are the vast, the dark, the archivist, the eye, and the end. Ofc I think I curated all pretty well, but those I listen to often. The only fear I did not include is the flesh, I just didn't feel compelled, perhaps another time.
(Ran out of audios)
The Corruption
The Buried
The Hunt
The End
The Extinction

Genshin Impact: The Magnus Archives AU
or How to Mix Media With Wildly Different Vibes Because They Have This One Thing in Common
OK SO
You wanted to know! There's an audience for my thoughts! I shall inflict them upon you!
So we have the Archons in Genshin, inflicting benevolent or neutral concepts upon the world. We have the Fears in TMA, inflicting, well, fears upon the world.
*approaches blender*
(Be warned, this is probably rather superficial, no deep character analysis here, literally just "Which Archon could be which Fear?" Also, I'll use the Archons' common names because I like them more, except for Focalors for obvious reasons)
1. Venti - The Vast
Well, first of all, it fits elementally, but that alone does not make a Fear. Venti's major topics are those of being untethered, lost, small in comparison to everything. The thing is, he's not inflicting those on anyone, unless him abandoning Mondstadt counts. For the time being, let's consider this to be enough.
2. Zhongli - The Buried
In comparison, this one is easy. There has been very literal use of stone and earth to bury his enemies (just ask Osial). The Buried's more metaphorical manifestation are obligation and debt, especially financial debt, and the God of Contracts and Mora seems tailor-made for the position.
(We also have a rather obvious pick for a devoted avatar - Ningguang)
3. Ei - The Lonely or The End
A very strong case can be made for both.
The Lonely: She closed off the country and divided its people, abandoned Kunikuzushi and eagerly isolated even herself.
The End: She started the Vision Hunt, where deaths of ambitions metaphorically or literally meant deaths of the people themselves, chased the kind of eternity that is identical to death in its stillness, and is famous for how her Musou no Hitotachi is an unavoidable strike.
I like The End more, but take your pick!
4. Nahida - The Eye
Another easy one. It's knowledge, knowledge, desire for knowledge all the way down. Additionally, through the Akasha Terminal, she was able to execute surveillance, and currently is capable of reading thoughts. And yes, we have an archon who may not want to ever execute their power maliciously - but who definitely could.
Being assigned the colour green is only a nice bonus :D
(Two avatars quickly come to mind - Alhaitham and Cyno. I want to see them and/or Nahida "ceaseless watcher"ing someone. Badly.)
5. Focalors - The Web or The Stranger (with Furina as an avatar)
See, this gets complicated because this duo leans in different directions. Focalors herself is more of The Web, masterminding a grandiose plan to deceive Celestia, for which Furina would need to deceive all of Fontaine, spinning a lie for hundreds of years. But the fact that she's specifically an imposter, together with the general theatre and performance theme, brings Furina closer to The Stranger. You could say it's now the fear of "archons, but not quite" instead of "humans, but not quite", hehe.
(For either Fear, I feel like Arlecchino is a good avatar candidate? Jury's still out on how many layers there are to her)
Murata would likely be The Slaughter or possibly The Desolation, and the Tsaritsa could of course be The Web but I have no idea at this point.
Finally, we have another divine being in Teyvat who deserves an Entity of their own. I decided to get a little edgy with it~
SPOILERS FOR MAG 134 AND BEYOND
6. Neuvillette - The Extinction
...or is he?
He could have been, that much is true. He could let the people of Fontaine be eliminated due to "their sin" (at best becoming Oceanid hiveminds and at worst vanishing entirely) and Fontaine itself be destroyed in a catastrophic flood.
Which he did not do - the only thing he wants to eliminate is Celestia.
And Celestia itself is much more realised as The Extinction. It has once laid waste to the world order, replacing the inhabitants with humans, and later, repeated this on a smaller scale, casting down environment-warping Divine Nails and destroying civilizations it deemed full of hubris.
If Neuvillete is Extinction, he only is, for lack of a more elegant way to say it, their personal Extinction.
(Also he just doesn't go with The Vast, he has no vibes of it beyond his element. Even The Eye fits better)
So, here are my thoughts on this AU! Feel fre to add (please do add). I currently have no other avatar ideas in mind other than Childe being very obviously Slaughter-coded.
People who expressed their interest (thank you SO MUCH for enabling me): @hawk-in-a-tree @smokinghotcrow @ninthfeather @paxoculi @thejoespooky

ranking tma entities by sexiness as an aroace person
15 the lonely - not very sexy. for. obvious reasons.
14 the extinction - kind of a bummer, doesnt have any sex appeal. radiation poisoning is kind of sexy, but its just the end of humanity.
13 the eye - its just. its just voyeurism. it doesnt do anything fancy, it just watches you.
12 the vast - simon fairchild bumps this one up on the list. insignificance and existentialism is kind of hot, but also like the lonely is so distant.
11 the end - its got tentacles. the tentacles represent horrible fearful deaths, but it has tentacles. also there might be something to the inevitability of it all.
10 the dark - could be sexy if you put in the work, but similarly to the eye, theres just not a whole lot there on its own. if you ever wanted to fuck the monster under your bed, this might be for you though
9 the slaughter - grifters bone is VERY hot. being violently killed, also very hot. however trench warfare is less hot.
8 the buried - i wanted to rank this one higher, i really did. its being crushed, smothered. inherently sexy.
7 the spiral - losing your self and your mind, what is up and what is down. twisted beyond yourself in cosmic madness. also michaels fingers are very long. do with this what you will.
6 the hunt - what is sexier than the thrill of the chase? being pursued.
5 the corruption - the corruption is canonically a milf. everybody wants to fuck the bugs.
4 the desolation - literally hot. theres a lot you can do with molten wax. being burned alive. jude perry is very hot. loss and purposeless destruction is also very hot in its own right.
3 the stranger - the mannequins can look like whatever they take. they will skin you. theyre big on moisturizing. and the ringmistress has a whip. dance the world anew. hot.
2 the web - the web has a LOT of sex appeal. everyone wants to fuck the spiders. it loses points for the consent issues, and your mileage may vary about the manipulation, but its still very hot.
1 the flesh - the flesh has everything. it respects consent. you want your ribs removed, and the flesh will oblige. 100 mouths, arms and legs. Cannibalism. anatomy is whatever you want. the flesh is the sexiest entity.

Homestuck Trolls and Which TMA Entity They're Most Aligned With: A List By Static, with the STRONG NOTATION that this is not a diss track, just a general summation of thoughts
Karkat— Extinction. He's the mutation that heralds the end of the world. He's the mutation that dooms the world. His existence inspires the fear of the end of society, and the question of how that society could rebuild.
Vriska— Web. A gimme. Spider8itch is gonna spider8itch. She's literally got manipulation powers that-- if she would use them correctly-- would constantly invoke the fear that her friends had no free will, and were just following her orders.
Aradia— End. She takes on the job of reaper for the entire universe, there's no way her very presence doesn't inspire at least the knowledge or vibes of death in her friends. She's the ferrywoman of this universe, and more than that, she's an archaeologist. She takes an active interest in the dead and the gone. This girl's unnerving, and I adore her for it.
Sollux— Desolation. A man who's had everything taken from him, and taken from him again, and taken from him again. First with Aradia's death at his hands, then when he's killed trying to get his friends into the game, then when he gets incinerated by Jack, then when he's blinded by Eridan, then when he gives it all up to propel the ship across the yard, then when he-- you get the point. Sollux continually inspires, rather than the fear of death, the fear of total and utter loss. It's probably something to do with the Doom aspect, y'know.
Terezi— Eye. She who knows all, she who 'sees' all. She's adept enough at this job to be able to trace both the past and the future, to understand exactly where things went wrong even if she doesn't have the power to fix it herself. Good at predicting outcomes. All of these are eye traits.
Gamzee— Stranger, both because of the circus aesthetic and because of the fear of the 'other' that he inspires. He walks like their friend, he looks like their friend, he even kind of sounds like their friend-- but is it really him? Are they supposed to trust him, especially after what he did? There's something wrong here, there's something wrong about him, and he's a Stranger aboard their ship.
Eridan— Slaughter. He's constantly fulfilling the trait of 'mindless violence', after all, whether he's killing landdwellers or shooting angels or even killing his friends. He shoots first and asks questions later. He's actively thinking about genocide at almost all times. This man is a menace.
Nepeta— Hunt, which feels a little obvious. She's the stalking purredator. She's constantly RP'ing as a creature that would like no better than to play a lovely little game of cat and mouse. If she got more screentime and/or things to fight, I'm sure we could see many more examples of this in-text.
Equius— Lonely. Nobody really seems to like this man? I mean, for obvious reasons- he's kind of a creep-- but he lurks on the edges of the friend group, moreso even than Gamzee or Eridan. If he didn't live immediately next door to Vriska I'm not sure anyone but Nepeta would know him. He probably speaks to his robots more than any other troll, and he doesn't seem to particularly want to speak to anyone but Nepeta? Every conversation is so stilted, so formal, almost as if he doesn't know how to talk to people even if he did want to.
Feferi— Vast. Look, as a seadweller, she's a little more connected to the depths than most-- but she also can't leave the depths, forcing Eridan to do her hunting for her. Her lifespan is implied to be near-endless, judging from )(IC's. She's trapped on all sides by endlessness.
Tavros— Buried. Much in the way that Feferi is trapped by an expanse both around her and within her, Tavros is trapped on the ground despite his wishes. He's buried at the back of his friend group, the butt of the jokes. He's also figuratively buried by his self-doubt, which feeds into his role as Page. I feel . . . incredibly bad for this man.
Kanaya— Corruption. It's the Fear most associated with the bringing of new life, which both as a jadeblood and the protector of the Mothergrub Egg, she's deeply in tune with. Her lusus is also a winged bug-thing (mothergrub, shut up). Kanaya herself is a parasite on the other trolls, because she's a rainbow drinker.

Okay I have another theory I promise I will shut up after-
But so far all the cases are not really connected to one Entity, but to three? I know that the fears must have gotten somewhat messed with, but there is a pattern there.
Spoilers for Episodes 1-13 under the cut!
“Re: checking in” Dark, Stranger, Flesh (Because of the "partial ressurection" thing)
Red Canary: Eye obv., but also Web (since it's all online and they receive weird anon DMs) and if they really ended up with eyes all over them, it could be a bit of Corruption?
Ink5oul: Eye, Web, Stranger (possibly Spiral instead?)
Tree-Man: Corruption, Spiral, posssibly Eye because of the Paranoia, again, not sure with this one.
Violin: Flesh, Slaughter, possibly Eye (because he watches as they all kill each other and only flees because of the police)
Needles: Hunter, Corruption… possibly Lonely? (as they speak of a void, but that could also just be because of the Corruption. They do smell fear like a hunter, though)
Hilltop: Buried, Stranger (as she can’t remember their names), Corruption
Architecture-Student: Lonely, but also Stranger and Extinction* (edit: seems more vast aligned and given the extinctions strange status, could be vast instead, thanks for pointing that out to me!)
Gordie: Vast or Lonely, but also Buried and End?
Mr. Bonzo: Flesh, but also Slaughter and possibly Hunt / or Stranger??
Episode 13: Web, and the money stuff speaks of Desolation. Corruption? The injuries though? Have only listened once to this one yet, so-
The Eye and the Web always somewhat appear together. So... Did the fears get molded into something, or did they get split up? Some of those are really pulled from a distance, I am aware, but maybe someone else has some input here too. I just listened to the entire thing twice in like three days, so-
What if the connecting factor between all the spoken ones is that they are somewhat Eye-related?

Note
As I'm a bit bored, I'm gonna assign a sea animal to each fear:
Eye: Barreleye fish (Have green eyes visible from their transparent head that they use to detect camouflaged prey from otherwise unseen depths. Its eyes always lock onto its prey no matter where it faces. Alternatively, just about every single reef fish with eyespots count)
Lonely: 52-Hertz whale (Trying to assign entire species to fears instead of just one case, but I can't just pass this one)
Vast: Blue whale (Don't think I need to explain this one)
Buried: Bobbit worm (Worm that hunts prey by dragging them deep into its underground burrow. A real life version of the Dune worms)
Dark: Stoplight loosejaw (A sea bogeyman; its prey can't see it, but it's adapted to be able to see and follow them in the dark. Plus it's a deep sea fish)
Stranger: Mimic octopus (I could put the anglerfish here, but there's an animal named after its ability to partially mimic the coloration and movements of other animals so yeah)
Spiral: Basket starfish (Seriously, just look at this thing. It's like Gertrude used a starfish instead of Michael to stop the Great Twisting)
Slaughter: Tiger shark (A toss up between this and the humboldt squid, but I remember that tiger sharks eat and attack just about anything they can get their hands (fins?) on)
Hunt: Orca (They strategize hunting tactics in groups, know how to use bait, hunt sharks by turning their own biology against them, and even breach themselves just to get an extra bite. That's how good they are as hunters)
Flesh: Pyura chilensis (People it this thing. Why the fuck does it look so meaty?)
End: Boneworm (Eat the bones of dead whales, fully ending the existence of something as not even their bones remain)
Extinction: Jellyfish (If the ocean fully acidifies yet is still livable, they'd possibly be the only sea animal alive. We did this, we ruined the ocean's biodiversity)
Desolation: Mantis shrimp (Tbh I'm not so sure what else to put here, but they punch so hard that the area around the temporarily heats up to be as hot as the sun's surface and can break about anything. They're also called thumbsplitters by some people because of how painful a punch from them is)
Corruption: Lionfish (Venomous fishes that appear in just about every coral reef around the world as invasive species, assimilating themselves into places that they shouldn't be as if they're naturally part of it)
Web: Cuttlefish (Look at this one using hypnosis to disarm a crab)

Handwriting translated below:
#161 old memories, tape that Gertrude should have gave them, Jon says “I love you”, they don’t need to eat to live
#162 Gertrude and Gerry bonding, Tim and Sasha talking about a very relevant subject and Jon and Martin are leaving the safe house.
#163 [VIETNAM FLASHBACKS] [BAGPIPES INTENSIFY]
#164 Gross statement about an infection in a town and Helen talking to Jon and Martin like a proud aunt is beautiful. “I knew you crazy kids would make it work!”
#165 “Ceaseless Watcher, turn your gaze upon this wretched thing.” The Stranger statement. Not!Sasha messed up!!
#166 Martin suddenly is on a murder episode and a dude turned into a worm. Helen says “Slay!”
#167 “Yes, Martin, you are my reason.” Sweet bonding and why Gertrude didn’t have anymore assists.
#168 “I’m not going to kill a man just because you’re jealous!” “Why not?” Oh, Martin. Oliver Banks shall live another day and we are crossing The End domain
#169 Let’s willingly run into a burning building, disregarding your boyfriend and getting revenge together! Jude is now dead and Martin was just struggling in the background. He chose revenge over his boyfriend. Interesting. “We’re burning!”
#170 “I’m Martin Blackwood, and I am not lonely anymore!” “Oh… Hello!”
#171 No way I just spent 23 minutes listening to Jon talk about skin flowers in a botanical garden. “That your boyfriend?” “It is, actually.” “Oh.”
#172 Creepy theatre show that made me genuinely uncomfortable with The Web
#173 Where do you think all of the children went? That’s right! The Dark with Callum! Yay!
#174 Simon calling Jon killing him “rude” is hilarious and immediately dipping is iconic. Weird Vast domain with big explosions. Helen loves some good gossip.
#175 The Extinction items, hate for umbrellas, and Martin’s squelchy couch. We’re going to The Hunt next. Oh no.
#176 Adoptive uncle Trevor and Julia are dead. AWESOME HUNT STATEMENT! And we got Basira! :D
#177 ‘Dr. David’ Jon is so hot. This episode has so many trigger warnings. Helen is so silly. Basira is rad, staying with her boys. Won’t let them have a moment tho
#178 More Flesh. Gross processing line and Jon admits that the thing that traumatized him the most was Daisy going to kill him in the woods. Poor babies.
#179 Daisy is shot and killed. Basira is on her own and I have a reason to give Jon a cane.
#180 I have never felt more serene in my life. I can’t even describe it. I was smiling, giggling, and everything feels okay. Salesa and Annabelle are here and I love Salesa’s voice and HE CAN PLAY THE PIANO! Teaholding fluff, om nom nom, this episode is one of my favorites. The I-Spy game <3
#181 They decide to stay at Upton House for a bit longer before leaving. Jon feels his powers again and forgets the whole experience of ignorance. Pity. Seemed like a nice place. I like Salesa.
#182 Anatomy Class student hospital and Breekon asks Jon to kill him. I feel bad for him. :(
#183 “I’m sure I love you.” “I love you too.” THEY SAID IT!! Helen was concerned for them. She’s like a wine aunt who acts motherly to them. Also, Martin’s domain…
#184 Jon made Jordan an entity. That’s a lotta ants! Jon is just… so complicated.
#185 Ouch. Police brutality and wrongful imprisonment are rough subjects. That guy pleading out to Martin HURT. Martin is… somewhere at the end. Alone again, oh, Jonny, I feel horrible.
#186 Martin went from being a joke in Jon’s anger to being one of the most well-developed characters. He is either going to kill himself of Jon. Martin legit talks to himself. Statement made me cry. This better end with them being happy together.
#187 HELEN! D: Aw, man… I liked her. That poor woman. Calm down, Jon! Helen was their friend till the end. Dang it, that was a nail-biter.
#188 We’re in London now! Eyes, man. They’re everywhere. We grieve for Helen a bit. Did I mention EYES?
#189 MEL AND GEORGIE! OMG! They… made a cult and can hide from The Eye. Great.
#190 Fresh take on modern dating! Antichrist plus one! Archivist mocks poems, beloved pet turned monster, and a blind prophet
#191 Jon sleeps with his eyes open. Georgie wants to avenge her cat (I think I’ve seen this film before), mystery can, and Jon and Martin discuss death. Sobbing atm.
#192 Rosie is literally just going with the flow. It’s weird to see someone else’s perspective on things. Jonah’s incantation is awesome and gosh, I love Martin
#193 Elias 'high as a kite' Bouchard’s origins. Jonah’s distorted voice is hot.
#194 THEY HAD AN ARGUMENT D: After a gruesome metamorphosis statement, Jon tried to find Martin to apologize only to find he was taken to HILL TOP FREAKIN ROAD
#195 Just Basira and Jon, catching up and trudging through water. Omg. The Mr. Spider tape.
#196 Earth shattering rip-in-space time crap. Annabelle is wicked cool. Martin keeps getting sucked into things AND THE TAPES!! ASDFEKGLZMV
#197 MARTIN! ANNABELLE! TAPES! THE LIGHTER! INTER-DIMENSIONAL PIT! WE NEED TO DESTROY JONAH AND THE EYE SIMULTANEOUSLY! LES GO!
#198 If your friends jumped off a cliff, would you too? Ew, bones reforming. Chill ep. Silly.
#199 Group agrees on plan after ten minute discussion. Martin consulting Jon while he cries in his arms HURT!! Also, Mel thanks Jon. This is going to end horribly, isn’t it?
#200 Statement ends.
Crying tally: |||| |||| (I cried ten [10] times listening to this stupid podcast)

Evidence for alignment of the Office of Incident Assessment and Response to each of the entities:
Unlikely:
The Eye: On a meta level, it would be more interesting for returning listeners for a different entity to be in charge this time. In universe, the way the OIAR works is quite different to the Magnus Institute. Employees are handed statements instead of having to search for them, and the job is more about cataloguing existing data than seeking out new knowledge.
The Lonely: Like the Eye, we saw a lot of the Lonely in the first podcast. So far, Lena seems to be strongly encouraging everyone to work pretty closely together so this seems unlikely.
The Slaughter: If it was this one, I'd expect the OIAR to be some sort of military organisation.
The Vast: Everyone seems to be working in pretty close quarters. This one just doesn't feel right (but that could change).
The Desolation: Not enough ruining people's lives/employees lives falling apart (yet). No connection with fire.
The Flesh/The Corruption: Doesn't seem to be a very bloody or visceral operation so far. Again, these just don't feel right.
No evidence (yet):
The End, The Spiral, The Stranger, The Extinction: Nothing to suggest these yet, but nothing to rule them out either.
The Web, The Hunt: Again, nothing to specifically suggest these, but I feel like these are slightly more likely. For the Web, I personally think it's one of the most interesting powers, that we didn't see so much of in a direct way in the first podcast. For the Hunt, I think if Sam ends up having to go on Response missions and Hunting down information it could end up going in this direction.
Most likely:
The Dark: It is a night shift, after all, and everyone seems to be being kept in the dark metaphorically about how everything works. Alice and Gwen seem happy to try to look away from the statements.
The Buried: I personally think this is the most likely power in charge here, given the amount of paperwork that keeps being mentioned, the fact that everyone is perpetually behind on their work and under pressure. The main thing I can think of against this is that employees aren't discouraged from taking breaks.
New Entity/No Entity: Since this is a new story, I wouldn't be surprised if things work completely differently this time around. Teddy did leave right at the start, after all (though I suspect he'll be back). It's still fun to speculate, though!

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE MARINE ARCHIVES AU (I'm using the Eyes power to Compell you and it's working)
OKAY SO BASICALLY. I made this AU because of the dumbest pun imaginable, involving Helen and Melanie.
I’ll show the pun at the end of the post.
Under the cut is an assortment of fish character conversions and headcanons. :)
Melanie King: pufferfish.
Helen Distortion: I originally thought of her as an eel, but later on I changed her character to a catfish. Y’know. (as much as the Distortion can be one single species)
Michael Distortion: cuttlefish. They can change their colors/patterns to deceive prey!
Jonah Magnus: Malawi Eyebiter. This one might be self-explanatory, but I think it’s fun to picture little eyebiter Jonah living inside Eel-Elias’s head. speaking of which,
Elias Bouchard: Green Moray Eel. Did you know that green moray eels aren’t even actually green. How fucked up is that.
Jonathan Sims: Cuatros Ojos (Four Eyes). They technically only have two eyes, but their eyes are split so that they can see above and below the surface of the water!! I think they’re neat. They’re also known for refusing to die when they’re outside of the water and exposed to air.
Nikola Orsinov: clownfish. Pretty self-explanatory, I think.
NotThem: octopus. Slimy little bastards who mimic other animals.
Georgie Barker: jellyfish. It just feels right to me.
That’s as far as I’ve gotten with character conversions, but I also have some random headcanons:
During the fisheyepocalypse, holes in coral could be seen to have eyes peeking out of them.
Allegiances between entities are slightly different! For example:
The Dark and the Stranger kinda band together at the bottom of the ocean, and the Vast is extremely powerful.
The Buried has a lot more to do with water pressure, but many statements that would have been related to heavy rain or getting choked on water now have to do with suffocating on air underwater.
The Hunt now obviously has a lot more to do with underwater predators than wolves and things like that above water. They have more power in this fish world.
The Vast also has pretty easy prey, and avatars sometimes take the shape of very large creatures such as blue whales.
The Slaughter is probably not as powerful here, because I don’t know how many fish go to war with each other…
I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t look up spider fish because that sounds like nightmare fuel to me, but I know that they exist. They scuttle around on the floor, and that’s what the Web embodies itself as, instead of regular spiders.
I think that the Extinction might actually be more powerful here, and may have become a fully fledged Fear. Y’know, because of all the plastic, oil, and general trash that’s contaminating the ocean.
The Corruption probably has a similar influence, but maybe a little less potent because of the lack of hive-minded bugs (at least, I think there are no hive-bugs underwater. I don’t really want to look that up).
I think it’d be really funny if the Spiral just worked like normal, and it opened like, mini doors in coral for fish to swim through.
Although I guess in this AU, there needs to be some sort of institute and fish society. So yeah, the Distortion could function pretty similarly to canon TMA.
As for the Lonely, I think that would work pretty similarly (see above), but its famous fog might not work out underwater. Maybe it just makes the water go really still and cold, indicating the absence of other life-forms.
The Eye is one I’m not so sure about, but if we believe the previous (^^) statement, the Eye might function pretty similarly to canon.
Now I’m gonna include the joke that started this off in the first place, but bear in mind that this might be the dumbest thing I’ve ever thought of….
Fish!Helen: What do you call a fish with no eyes? Fish!Melanie: ... Fish!Helen: A fsh! :)
(I’ll tag you because I know that tumblr can be weird about answered asks. @samwise1548 )

Nobody asked for this but I'm rating TMA fear entities by how scary they are.
The Eye
This bitch should be afraid of me
I set my 0.5L bear head shaped glass mug of discount bootleg pepsi on the table and say "Watch This" and the ceaseless wanker never recovers
0/10 turn your gaze upon. My peanits
The Web
Kind of a MILF and they do intimidate me if I'm being honest
Spiders are pretty disturbing ever since I wrote that story about a gigantic man-eating species with blades for legs, but then there's Jolene who lives on my window and catches the bugs that are Far Worse so I don't even know
4/10 for honest effort, you go girl
The Dark
Scary in the sense that I will stab me goddamn toe
So fun fact, when I was a kid my parents brought home a wooden crate full of pears and set it on the floor near the kitchen doorframe and I ran by at full speed and whacked my pinky toe against it full force, it was bleeding like fuck but for whatever genius reason my parents didn't move the crate so next day I ran the exact same trajectory and didn't have a nail on my pinky toe for six months. But that was in broad daylight so
2/10 get torched idiot
The Vast
I could never be afraid of something so, so sexy
I guess I have an instinctive moderate fear of heights? I did fall off a tree once, and I am prone to window-jumping attempts, but it's not like I can't climb a ladder or anything. The ocean though? The open space? Tell me more
3/10 we on purposed kiss
The Buried
I would DIE in the buried
Petition to rename Too Close I Cannot Breathe to Get The Fuck Away From Me
7/10 can you tell I'm familiar with the crushing weight of poverty
The Flesh
Too funny to be scary
Yeah blood, yeah meat, I'm made of it babygirl don't even worry. I bet you only hate Viscera because your ribs are weird. Not me. Could never be me. My rib is beautiful and pristine, my bone marrow is delish, and my garden is FLOURISHING.
2/10 for the fear of actually going to the gym
The Hunt
It's Gonna Getcha
Kind of boring? Neighborhood stray dogs are scary but at some point you just say "fuck it" and walk the shortcut anyway. We don't have wolves or bears here where I live, it's pretty chill.
2/10 vampires aren't even that sexy (sorry)
The Corruption
I do NOT. Fuck with The Corruption. I DO NOT. Fucking hell.
Bone-chilling, terrifying, absolute bullshit whore of a fear, I HATE her, I hate her SO MUCH, watch me run out of my house screaming upon encountering one motherfucking bitch of a worm, I'm calling extermination services so quick you won't even have the time to say "Filth", FUCK The Corruption
10/10 aaa a a aa a a
The Stranger
Who
I don't know what "uncanny valley" means. I've read the definition but I do not understand the concept. Plastic people don't make any sense to me. "Things that aren't what they should be" does not make sense to me. I Might have identity issues
0/10 fucking clowns
The Slaughter
Soldier TF2
Respectfully and conceptually frightening but not on any personal level. Don't like thinking about it because there's a war just over the border right now, but also everyday things still need done y'know?
5/10
The Spiral
Hawt
Another thing that is conceptually scary but I would just deal with it in a producthve manner because I'm autism powers. Also I get lost even in normal, non-distorted places, so I'm what you may call experienced
4/10 mickey
The Lonely
MY GORGEOUS WIFE
I think about The Lonely at least once a day, I want to go there forever. Will you go to The Lonely with me? Will you? Will you?
0/10 she makes me so happy I want to cry
The Desolation
Yeah fire doesn't do it for me
Can't be scared of losing your home if you don't have a home in the first place
3/10 I'm scared of mean women
The Extinction
Been there done that
More hopeful than scary. Made in Heaven that shit aye
1/10 who gives a shits
The End
Ah well
I mean, I could die tomorrow and I wouldn't care. Cause I'd be dead. Cheers for the living but I'm different.
2/10 the scariest part is all the tentacles

Assigning TMA fears to Ninjago characters (because I can and I will) based on personnalities and elemental powers (did this with Little Nightmares, so it's Ninjago's turn) :
Lloyd : probably the most difficult to assign because he has a lot of things to his character. The End fits his almost immortality and destiny as the chosen one. The Eye could also be a choice, but mostly for the aesthetic and chosen one trope. The Web too, but most in the sense he is the one being manipulated (by fate, by other people because he's so naive...) and not the one manipulating others. The Slaughter fits his Oni form. But I think maybe, the Extinction fits more for the green ninja, as he is the one who has to define the fate of the world most of the time, and combines a lot of other fears.
Kai : this one is easy but he would be the Desolation. It fits his powers but also his personnality. Don't even need to write about it, this is just the obvious choice here.
Nya : I'll say the Slaughter because she got bad angry issues. The Vast also fits her powers and "fused with the ocean arc" so it could be both.
Cole : first, I would say the Lonely ; because he's often the one ending up in these "forgotten by everyone / slowly becoming invisible" situations (when he was a ghost, when he joined the Lowly, or most recently, when he ended up in the Land of Lost Things...) He would obviously also be linked to the Burried because of his powers.
Zane : I think he would be linked to the Stranger ; not only because he's a robot, but also because he was put in so many situations where he was hacked, destroyed, not himself anymore, having identity crisis...
Jay : the first thing I think about is the Vast ; because of his powers, and also his kinda panicked personality. He also seems like the type of guy who would get caught by the Corruption (especially his early seasons self).
