my biggest irl secret is that at some point i started telling people i like drawing skeletons because i was too embarrassed to say i draw undertale fanart and that snowballed into getting more skeleton themed things which i liked but didnt really go out of my way for and now its not a lie anymore and whenever i need to buy something i will try my very best to find a skeleton version of it and now i’ve fallen to my self fulfilling prophecy of becoming the skeleton guy

#trousled rambles #its so funny to me now. i didnt wanna be cringe but now im just weird in a different way #there is an actual plastic skeleton (his name is roderick) hanging from my bed in my dorm rn. my roommate gave him mini sunglasses #that bed also has skull shaped string lights under it #half of my tshirts have skeletons on them #i have one ribcage hoodie and have been trying for several years now to get another one for my birthday #i have one singular necklace that is not skeletom themed. my favorite necklace is a cat skull #the only reason i dont wear my shoes with skeleton feet on them is because they hurt my feet #listen. people will tell you not to let lies snowball but they never tell you it can actually be so fucking funny #its not even a lie anymore this is just genuinely who i have become #this lie has consumed me and im better for it #EDIT I FORGOT ABOUT MY SKELETONS SHOWER CURTAIN AND SKULL SHAPED SOAP DISPENSER AT MY HOUSE #AND HARVEY!!!!! so anyway, I did some colouring

#i havent done colouring in ages #i used to get really frustrated at this book cause it was all leaves and grass #and even though my favorite colour is green it snnoyed me cause ot was all the same and didnt even look good #and for some reason i didnt realise i could colour leaves diferent colours????#and use multiple pens and pencils on the same bit to blend and add variation #so now its more fun :D #these pictures are from the enchanted forest colouring book btw

k so been a while since i shared some art on here yeah yeah?

right so, here are some (very out of order) sketch pages I managed to filled up back in May that I actually still really like enough to post publicly

its mostly just referenced drawings and redraws of clown’s work, but with a close eye you can spot a couple were referenced from some of @forgrtashes-blog’s fanart

As above so below! this lovely redraw was referenced from one of @dxkjf ‘s lovely sketches of Frank and Eddie cuddling <3

I remember I had fun with this one in a sort of frustrating way, it was certainly a reminder for me to make more of an effort to draw more complicated character interactions going forwards like hugs! (an embarrassing amount of brain power was dedicated to figuring out the limb placements…)

also feat. the most recent sketches of frank i’ve done so far! (well i think so anyways)

and somehow idk how but somehow i ended really like a lot of the art I made while trying to study frank’s design more in depth! there are some actual pages where i was studying and making notes of wally’s design as well but, i like the look of those pages a lot less than these ones, so yeah no only I gets to see those haha

by the time i was “done” with my informal art study of frank, school stuff was starting to pile up more and more and i had basically no trying for drawing anymore

but!!! these 3 franks are basically (+1 other) are the most recent sketches and while not a lot, i think it kinda show through how much better i got at drawing frank <3

overall in terms of progressing my art journey this was all so very fun and informative, hopefully things in my life will align to let me have the free time to do more of this again soon!!

TOTALLY didnt see this coming (said w love)#i mean its like maybe im being perceptive but they literally showed two of them in their armor and had one say phthia aka one of the #founders of the bana. like okay i had to do a wiki to check that and obvi id know slightly more than a pérez run reader abt them #(but not much honestly ive read the same stuff they wouldve just plus some fandom osmosis/knowing who artemis is) but i digress. do think he #maybe could have put showing them off but i understand the motive of not wanting readers to go months thinking the amazons were chopping #ppls heads off. but they could have teased the mind control red herring (probably? think it was a red herring although it could pop back up #the arc is still ongoing) a little bit more considering weve had dr psycho starting shit for the past 4 (at LEAST) issues but well whatever #anyways the pencilling on this one needed help like its not even a coloring issue at the core of it its legit this guest guy drawing #totally different people... very lame #anyways maybe im too quick to blame it all on the bana i am only halfway through the arc #like i do think it is the bana. i think thats the answer. but again dr psycho IS causing problems and theres been hints of the cheetah being #involved (“animal attack” killings + a shot of her in arkham) AND circe was namedropped (although now we know it was dr psycho) but im still #slightly suspicious bc there seems to be possesed animals... like they are v much laying different hints and pathways here #but i think its the bana. i think its psycho fucking around and also the bana and MAYBE a psycho controlled cheetah or the bana mimicing her #patterns. or are the bana even there if psychos involved??? he could just be fucking around then- okay you know what. maybe im less sure of #this than i thought and should just read more. wait but how would psycho even know about the bana to have ppl hallucinate hed just use the #themyscirans-- okay i need to read more im getting distracted. the bana are definitely involved though im calling it. its them and maybe #psycho. and maybe cheetah. and maybe circe but likely not bc we already established that was a false lead. unless that was also a trick. and #WHAT ABT ARES ALL THE STOLEN ARTIFACTS HAD TO DO WITH WAR--#.... guys im losing it. fuck it im saying its all giganta and calling it a day i cant do this #no but i love how this mystery is set up its like they just dropped clues for every single ww villain onto it and said “here. good luck.”#this is before the big ww crossover too so it could actually be all of them im losing my mind here. just lost about 5 years' worth of art because my app crashed and deleted itself as i tried exporting a painting

#autodesk sketchbook #digital art #this is messing me up so much i spent so long on it and it got fucking eaten by my archaic fucking software #the photo of my pencil sketch is staring at me as the last thing saved on my gallery #it didnt even end up saving the final painting. its just gone and its corpse is taunting me. full on smugly shushing me #hopefully i'll compile enough spite to repaint all 5 hours of it #but godammnit i'm going to have such a high standard for myself now that i know what i originally did #it was also a portrait of piper using charmspeak and if that i'snt the most 'killing the father' moment i've ever had #really feeling gaia rn how did i just have a symbolic book parallel with my downfall against my own blood sweat and tears #literally everything i worked on gone in the blink of an eye because a teenager with a magic voice told me to shut up and go to sleep

#no brain tumor #no cancer #not sure about lyme yet but i doubt it #its just an escalation of the sleep stuff #at the 1.5 year mark and its gotten to THIS #i cant do it anymore. but i have to. so i will. and thats really all there is to it #....i cant color anymore.#i used to be especially good with color blends #patterns and such #the thing i made last night... was like something i wouldve made in grade school #its been so long since i tried but i didnt think id lose the ability to... color. of all things #now im too afraid to pick up one of my instruments again. even if id only have the energy for one song...#what if i cant play anymore?#hell i already had to quit playing minecraft because id just. get lost running in circles around the map. not remembering what i was doing #same thing happened with tears of the kingdom after the hyperfixation wore off #back to not being able to tell dreams from reality and that is really fucking bad when all your dreams are nightmares #for a bit i was able to whittle charms to hang over the bed. but if im not safe to drive i definityl shouldnt be handling a knife #not even to sharpen the colored pencils i cant use...#at least in this hellsite i can talk to myself as much as you #next up is the neurology department. and some harassing of other sleep labs #wish me luck #id say delete later but i wont

#art #traditional art #pencil #oc art #ocs #oc group: unsorted #oc: unnamed #ive drawn her a few times now i think. shes from a dream i had once #ALSO i had a mild art drought for a bit there because ive been so bothered by my busted scanner #im borrowing a new one from my family and currently testing how it works #hopefully it works okay for now. it seems a little crisper which makes sense because it is over a decade newer than my old one LOL #i cant get it to work with picasa but i dont think its the fact that its a new scanner (i also tried an even older scanner)#(that a family member had around and that also didnt work with picasa so i think its some installation driver nonsense)#so ive been using the built in scanning software to scan to a folder that picasa reads and THEN i can go in and crop all the pics #my art scanning process is absurd and convoluted sorry #WHAT you need to know is my scanned images may look a little different for the next little bit as i get used to new technology
