Today was kaito's birthday, and since it was his birthday, you did everything in your will to make it special, ofcourse making a special birthday party would make it hard, not to mention expensive but you had to try!! It was his birthday after all and it didnt hurt to try right?

You first started the day by buying him ice cream, you hid it in the fridge so that when he gets in your shared apartment, you'll surprise him with that! Next you brought some small cake, the big one was too expensive, surely the small one will do..

You then decorated the apartment, just some small balloons here and there, since it was his birthday, ofcourse you were going to invite his friends, they too had to come! So you went online and started searching on what to cook, foods that would suit everybody, after an hour or so you started cooking, there were going to be 7 of them, plus you so that would mean you had to make food suited for 8 people! You didnt try anything like this since you came from a small family, but itd be worth a shot!

Ofcourse, you did some things that arent related to his birthday such as, taking care of plants, going to the mall, and going to your job, ofcourse when you got home you were a tad bit late, so you put on your apron and started cooking, you placed your phone onto a phone stand and watched their live, since it was his birthday, ofcourse theyre gonna put on a show, why wouldnt they?

After finishing preparing everything you texted kaito to be home as quick as he can, he still didnt see the message but he will, he never leaves you on sent, after a minute he sees your message, and goes offline, thats it? Does that mean theyre coming home? 8pm still not home, 8:45pm still not home, 9pm still not home, you started doubting, the food had gone cold, you placed the ice cream back into the fridge to avoid it melting, maybe he and his bandmates went out and ate out? But he wouldve texted you if they did.. maybe he forgot? It was almost 10 and you started placing the cake back to the fridge to avoid flies, then the door opened, and there it was kaito and his bandmates!

You quickly placed the cake in the fridge and helped them get inside. "Sorry for not replying, i was about to but my phone died..." Kaito, apologizes, you shook your head and assured him that it was all okay, rin, the band's keyboardist interrupts. "Oh wow! You cooked all this [Y/N]! Careful, lens gonna eat it all~!" She teased, taking a seat "i dont even eat that much! Unlike you!" Len, the bands guitarist argues back, Meiko, sits beside the two teens, giving them a glare "calm down you two.. " she says sternly, the two didnt calm down so they had to sit separately, Meiko, Rin, Luka on the right side, you, Miku, and Rin on the left, ofcourse Kaito would be at the center since this party was dedicated to him!

You all began to eat and drink, except the twins ofcourse, staying up all night to have fun, singing karaoke, and playing video games, you watched, Miku and Luka admiring rin and len's skill on playing video games, while Meiko lays down, too drunk to know whats happening,she rests her head on Rins lap "Stop moving Meiko! Im gonna lose!!" She whines, Len snickers "keep wiggling Meiko!" He teases, you watched them all, being happy that they enjoyed the small party you threw, after some minutes Meiko finally woke up and had an idea. "Guys! Lets sing kaito a... A happy birthday~!" She says with a song-sing voice, wrapping her arm around your shoulder, you nod and helped Meiko sit back down.

After singing kaito a happy birthday, you pulled out your small cake from the fridge "sorry if the cakes to small.. the big ones were expensive.." you added, looking a bit guilty, Kaito shook his head and gave you a reassuring smile "no,no.. dont be, im grateful for whatever you give me.." he smiles "Stop talking and blow out the candle!!" Rin exclaims, Kaito then blew out his candles, chuckling a bit "aha.. im starting to feel old.." he chuckles, Miku shook her head "26 is not that old.! I think.." she replied, Luka nodded in agreement.

After the party ended, the rest of the bandmates were gonna head home, they all had given their gifts back at the concert but you still hadnt given your gift yet.. "you sure you dont want me to drive you home..?" You ask, Luka shook her head "no, no.. me and Meiko live pretty close, rin, miku, and len also live ina dormitory thats just a 30 minute drive from my place.. its almost 12 so you should get rest, you did throw as a party.." she replied, You knew you could trust her, she only took small drink, maybe like one can, unlike Meiko..

You both helped eachother clean up, it wasnt that messy but still needed some retouches "you dont have to help me clean Kai, its your birthday" you say to him, he shook his head "no, i should help.. you threw me this party.. its the least i could do.." he says, while wiping the plates, watching you sweep, after finishing, you wanted to announce something.

"Happy birthday Kai.. oh! Here i brought you a present! Close your eyes..!" You giggle, Kaito smiles and nodded, closing his eyes "on a count to three open em okay? 1... 2... 3... Open!" As Kaito opens his eyes, he had an appreciated look on his face. "A crocheted plushie.. of ice cream..?" He remarks.. was your gift that bad..? Is it not that good? "Y-yeah! Took me a week.. do you .. like it...?" You ask, kaito smiles at you and gave you a hug "i love it.. i'll cherish it as long as i live" he added, the hug soon broke "this is the best birthday gift i could ask for.. thank you.." he smiles at you, showering you with compliments, you blush slightly at his words "awee..! Dont have to! Just doing something a good person would do!" The clock soon hits 12, Kaito's birthday had come to an end.

"Although.. there is something that i did want.." he blushed, looking away "oh! What is it then..? Im sure i can buy it for you next year!" You replied, kaito looks at you then, clears hos throat "is it too late for a birthday kiss..?" He asks.

You blush, and chuckles a bit, kissing his cheek, just as you were about to pull away, he grabs your waist and kisses you on the lips.. "i-im sorry.." he said, blushing madly while looking down, you chuckle and smiled at him "no,no.. im glad you kissed me.."He smiles at your response, hugging you, nuzzling his face to your neck, "oh.. well.. im glad you liked it.. though.. would you still be glad if i.. did more than kissing?"

OKAY so for starters it was actually kinda disappointing to see that most of the gameplay has been shown already in the trailer, i would’ve liked to have been surprised..

and there is no feeling of progressing forward like any other storymode since you go to the start every single time you lose and all your achievements disappear unless you get into the boss fight, and only if you win you get one singular key

and all the powerups that you’re used to having just gone. poof. disappear.

i would’ve liked to see npcs that you can actually talk to because somehow there is no button to talk to pearl? like maybe they should have made a feature when you’re right underneath pearl to press A and talk to her for a bit, even if its something simple like “yo! let’s get back on track!”

you can’t even talk to marina and all she asks is if you need something to be hacked, which makes her seem as she’s just there for that mechanic and nothing else— as someone who never played splatoon 2 and doesnt know her personality im not sure what the hype is about for her

we should have been able to go into the elevator and actually walk around and talk to the characters and like salmon run, when it says ‘time to go to work!’ for side order it would say ‘arrived at floor’ or smth like that.. i would give anything to be able to walk around and interact with everyone in the elevator, like if the characters pearl, marina and dedf1sh weren’t there it would function the same

why arent we able to talk to them like. dedf1sh is such a cool character where is the lore? they just stand in a corner and is just there…

it would be so amazing if you could slowly befriend dedf1sh and get exclusive gear/random stuff from the metro or smth from them as the friendship points rack up and they become more open to you

and all the bosses are easy to tell apart from the silhouette and you can easily guess how you’re going to fight them, i want that little moment of mystery as well as not knowing how hard it’s going to be

coloured fingertips dont even seem like a thing anymore, it was just for agent 8 and her blue palette things

it looks as if you have to fight many of the same boss to get the locker key and after it just becomes repetitive and there is no story whatsoever, the villain is a glitchy entity called ‘order’??? like if that same glitchy entity thing switched to agent 4 for like half a frame the entire fandom would go WHOAH WHAT WAS THAT and we’d be talking about it for ten thousand days

the only motive is that you have to save everyone from being grayscaled blablabla but you dont even have any evidence of the character even being there, the character palettes are just a cheap way to implement more weapons, like what do you mean we don’t get the actual characters standing around the outside of the spire.. i want to talk to paul and warabi and ikkan (cough cough i mean quinn and mashup???)

we cant even get these extra characters because 3d modelling is SUCH a LOT of EFFORT for such a huge company like nintendo we should feel so sorry for all the work that they had to do, they put in their best effort (sarcasm)

all the enemies/foes are just remodelled salmon run enemies like battering largo or whatever (they could remodel the enemies but not the bands?? what)

Week 1: An Album a Day 2024

this week is stuff i listened to months ago so i dont have the best descriptions. starting week 3 i will be actively doing them on schedule, but i specifically wanted to include these first 15 or so even though i listened to them early. descriptions for future albums will be better :)

1. Formless and Void, Philosophy of Music

i would call this album the epitome of what i believe indie is supposed to actually mean, with a lot of guitar and acoustic vocals. this is a really small band i found on youtube with a ton of discography and some really unique structures. most of their songs are 90 seconds or shorter and full of really neat overlayed harmonies and guitar, if i am remembering correctly. A couple highlights from this include 'Fly Me Sophia,' and 'A Picture.'

2. Empire Central, Snarky Puppy

jazz! fusion even! i love snarky puppy. also this album was recorded near where i live and there was a live free listen session and i didnt go cause i would have had to go alone and i didnt go. i regret that daily. some of my highlights on this one are 'Portal' and 'RL's.' I absolutely need to re-listen to this album because i do not remember specifics but i do think it was enjoyable.

3. SET TO STUN and The Desperado Undead, Set to Stun

THIS ALBUM IS KILLER it has so many incredible songs and flip flops genres at all times. heavily a metalcore album but they have some like softer songs. picking highlights is so hard in this one because the album as a whole is such an experience in itself. this is one of the albums that i recommend people go in knowing almost nothing and dont listen to one off tracks but just go in without anything to start. some of my highlights, though, are 'Walk Tall,' 'Brightest Day,' and 'The Necronomicon.'

4. Truth Decay, You Me At Six

the tracks on this album are awesome. this is a rock/alternative album with some incredibly hard hitting emotional bits through the entire thing. one of my favorite albums from the band (do note i havent listened to their discography over and over though so this is subject to change). i know their song crash and have since i was around 14 so having the really emotional ballad-like parts of this album reminds me of that song which is really nice. highlights include 'After Love In The After Hours' and 'Mixed Emotions.'

5. Violet Street, Local Natives

okay heres where my memory goes. i remember very little about this album. it is really pretty and reminds me of the woods if i rememeber correctly. a soft rock album that is also really interesting muscially. this band also reminds me of hippo campus sometimes but that may be because the same person got me into both of them. I don't know it well enough to offer good highlights but i do remember enjoying 'Café Amarillo' and 'Tap Dancer.' i may edit this later but who knows.

6. Nothing But Thieves (Deluxe), Nothing But Thieves

nothing but thieves is one of the most unique bands i know. they were very high on my 2023 of music. they have gorgeous vocals and build incredibly. this is also an alt rock album but i think it is incredibly ballad focused, more so than their other album i know well, moral panic. the tracks are great as an album and as stand alone pieces. my highlights include 'Lover, Please Stay,' 'Neon Brother,' and 'If I Get High.' this is also an album i need to listen to again so these are subject to change but are each incredible regardless.

7. You Too Will Rest, Careful Gaze

THIS ALBUM FUCKING DESTROYED ME. so i found it at a really rough personal time and played various songs from it on repeat. i have them defined on my spreadsheet as post-hardcore emo. i think theyre adjacent to emo and metalcore. it is somehow incredibly hard hitting emotionally and really lets you absorb your own negative or depressive emotions but then somehow ends up kind of hopeful. specifically this is true for the tracks I will list. they are just soul crushing and make me think about emotions i didnt know i needed words for or could put into words at all. this is one of two albums i consider to have fully reshaped my brain connections (i say this lightly) to the extent that i think about them every day and the lyrics have changed how i see the world and the music is gorgeous and the motifs are incredible. my personal highlights are (in album's order) 'Yourself, Or Others,' 'Rainbows,' 'Vacant Chair,' and 'Failing Body 2k.' i beg of all of you to listen to this album if you even slightly can enjoy things that are kind of screaming because man this has some ideas and feelings in the lyrics that i have never found anywhere else.

ll - Team BEST, specifically whatever Skizz and Tango had going on it was so fucked up. Skizz when he’s willing to sacrifice everything for his team and therefore cant conceptualize that the others wouldnt do the same, so he lets the sake of togetherness squeeze tango for everything he’s worth and then when bdubs kills tango he tells tango to apologize for getting mad. insane AND fascinating

dl - DIVORCE YEAAAH WOO YEAAAH DIVORCE QUARTET FOREVER WOOOHOO!!!! they were my first love actually like. they caused the hyperfixation. I watched the dl finale and thats what started it I explicitly remember bc I was trying so hard to NOT get hyperfixated at the time. It was a constant battle. And then I watched the finale and I immediately lost and I’m still here. Which is really funny bc I really couldnt tell you any thoughts I have about them anymore? It was all very surface level stuff that didn’t need analyzing from me like everyone got it I didnt need to make a case to anyone so I guess I just forgot…. They still hold a special place in my heart though

limlife - Clockers. Not for any character reason theyre just really fucking funny. nothing in the life series is beating the playing catch scene in terms of hilarity to me. next

sl - sl is interesting because the alliances arent as clear cut from day one as they typically are. Theyre sort of taking shape now but a vast majority of them are still part of the larger community rather than shutting themselves off to be with their buddies. I couldnt tell you a favorite team bc I dont even know what the teams are besides like… heart foundation and the cherry blossom band. and the mounders I guess but those mfs are splitting up at the first sight of danger sorry 🌿 - any favourite interpretations?

of what. wait of what. the characters? the series as a whole? uh. um. hm. this one is so open ended hold on. whatever this animation has going on with desert duo? It sort of opened my eyes to how we as fans can do whatever we want with what the series gives us and spin the story in countless different directions. i think youre so right and i dont mean that new artists shouldnt be given a break or an opportunity or anything but like you say, when theyre being harvested on social media, where a lot of the time look is everything (as i believe it is for bebadoobebdoo, her look her 'aesthetic' pinterest-board fashion sense does play a part i really think it does because there is no way her music is strong enough on its own to be successful) and where they may not necessarily be super experienced or practiced yet (which again, i appreciate, theyre new), a lot of money goes into getting songs out of them which are inevitably boring unimaginative four-chord songs that do not have enough substance to make anyone feel anything. including the people singing them. i cant imagine that beabadoobee demonstrated enough genuine musical promise to be given a record deal so i have to believe its either her image or the idea that well if we give her tons of expensive resources maybe then she'll end up putting out something good.

i know ive talked about this a million times before but im gonna talk about it again because it came up when i was perusing my roxy music pages on fb earlier (the only thing i use fb for) so here i go

TL;DR later

apparently bryan didnt necessarily WANT to be the sole center of attention in roxy music? like supposedly at the beginning it was supposed to feature everyone sort of equally but the management pushed for bryan to be the lead, but i cant help but feel like this would have happened anyway given enough time. even though bryan interviews poorly (he's shy and gets tongue-tied easily- comments made by interviewers and bryan himself) being the singer he is kind of by default the one that gets the attention put on him, so to me im unsurprised that he gets the bulk of the attention, i just dont understand why its SO one-sided. clearly /I/ see the value in phil and andy and i think theyre just as interesting and important to the band as bryan but i cant for the life of me figure out why so few other people feel that way.

my best guess is that it's because bryan writes lyrics and therefor appears to be their voice and therefore their identity, but just because he plays a significant role in their work doesnt mean that andy and phil's work is any less valuable you know? like if you take either of them away you're taking away huge parts of roxy, and without either of them it wouldnt be the same. you can take away eddie and gary and john wetton and even eno and paul (sorry paul) and you still have roxy music- and thats because its them three TOGETHER that makes roxy music roxy music. arguably, johnny gustafson could make them four- i think thats a fair argument to make but then again idk anybody trying to make that argument lol. i personally think they were strongest with johnny but they were very much still roxy without him, so i maintain that roxy music, at the end of the day, is really three dudes working together, and they should all be a part of the roxy discussion, not just bryan.

so, what is it that people see in bryan that they dont see in andy and phil? is it JUST because they dont sing lead? is it because they're not as good looking as bryan? his looks are questionable at best imo. i dont think hes all that conventionally good looking but i get the appeal. but still, i dont think that warrants the spotlight he gets. i dont think anything about him warrants that attention. there is no one like andy mackay in the rock world and yet the andy's page on fb has 3k likes, whereas bryan's has 400k likes. that's preposterous to me.

i acknowledge bryan's solo work, thats all well and good, and perhaps thats what makes him more popular as far as numbers, but when it comes down to roxy music the band, the attention he gets is unwarranted. its one thing to be a bryan ferry fan, it's another to be a roxy music fan where the only person you care to acknowledge is bryan. those people are not really fans of roxy music and i dislike them for that because they claim to be when they only have eyes for bryan, which, as i have made clear, is unfair and untrue. you cant be a roxy music fan and ONLY care for bryan, because if you DO like roxy music's music that much, you by default like andy and phil too, so why not give them credit? thats what i fail to understand.

TL;DR: bryan ferry is a loser and idk why people like him soooo much more than andy mackay and phil manzanera.

week one hundred and eight

its december already.

l joined mikumåndag on monday. thats so fun!! he seemed excited ab it and thought a lot ab what song to add and it ended up being a winner. ns started picking winners each week so im sure it feels good to be the first one. it was reflection by balance and composure. my pick for the week was the clay pigeons cover by michael cera and although it wasnt one of the winners, n said she thought it was cute and added it to a pl so i still feel like a winner hihi.

the local high school was hosting a little second-hand evening so me and l went to that. we didnt find anything but i tried on a ragged sweater that a was selling but it was a tad bit tight around the neck and also just too expensive for me to just casually get it, yk?

on tuesday i had class and afterwards i went to go look for a top. ive been wanting just like, a basic white and a basic black top to serve slutty 2000s emo in. i got a push-up bra as well so im serving hard. l was helping me in picking a top bc i didnt know whether i should get it or not bc of how long it was so when i wore it cropped it was so scrunched up. i ended up getting them and im loving them so far. it was so funny as well bc the dressing room was so dark so like i had to take pics with my front camera w front camera flash on and it had to be a proper close-up so hed even be able to tell that it was scrunched up so it ended up being a super seductive pic TT i did tell him before hand like "yea uh i could take a pic but just so yk the angles gonna be a bit,,, interesting," and his immediate reaction was "send a pic," "now," "NOW," ":)." it was funny. hes so cute. he does that quite a lot like just repeating words in that way when he wants something. its cute.

wednesday was quiz. i got there before everyone else which was a bit humiliating but it didnt take too long for a and v to arrive. alsoalso wrapped released on wednesday so i was having a lot of fun watching everyones wrapped. my top artists were paramore, fob, the police, the 1975 and mcr.

on thursday i watched superbad. it was a fun time.

the police cover band was playing on friday so ofc i went. it was fun as usual and theyre so talented! afterwards me and l got food and l slept over.

saturday morning me and l went to a café for breakfast! i just had coffee and then when i got home i had a sandwich with my mom and her friend, m, who had slept over as well. before me and l had gone to the café, mom told us she had talked w s and d and another guy she didnt remember the name of (it was i) which is so funny. my moms first words were "i talked to the singer of the cover band, he was really attractive!" i mean he is but i was so caught off-guard. she then followed w "s was quite handsome as well!"

i was so bored on the saturday though — after everyone left then. i played some guitar and the usual stuff. did some coloring. ive almost finished my coloring book so i should get a new one soon. i think ill just get one once ive moved bc im sure they have nicer ones in stockholm.

ill end this entry w a thought, to all the people that dont read these entries, i feel like i should change my anonymous naming system. the letters get confusing since ik so many ppl w names starting w the same letter. maybe i should just do like,,, code names of some sort? or maybe just something more simple like bff l and boyf l (although hes not my boyf YET but idk like,,, id prefer boyf l over talking stage l). ill see what i do next week :)

the way my life has been full of suffering like from what i remember my friends have always treated me like shit from elementary school thru. undergrad and its not even the same group of ppl its different ppl but they all treat me the same and when i made a band i thot i finally had some people to count on but they let me down so many times and i just had to suck it up because i know that this is the best it was gonna get and i eventually got tired of putting up with all of it thhat i just got rid of them but since then i havent been able to put a working band together bc i literally just have to put up w ppl asking me out and showing up at the wrong gig venue and not learning songs bc thats still more than any other musician has ever done for me and now im in graduate school and i sit on my ass all day coding bc i have so much homework and studying to do i cant do anythknng else and i cant go to concerts because all concerts do is remind me that everyonees friends treat them better than i get treated for over twenty fucking years and iget jealous bc i just want someone to be nice to me and i hate my program i didnt even choose it my parents forced me to go into grad shcool right away i wanted to get a gap year to see what i wantd to do and they didnt let me do that so now im stuck doing something that i hate and its sucking up my life and i hold a grudge agaisnt my parents but i also know that theyre only doing it bc thtey care about me and its really capitalism at fault but i cant help hating them and hating musicians for treating me like shit all the fucking time and ruining everything that ive ever loved and i just dont see how anything is gonna get any better bc all u do after u graduate is work 9-5 so its not any different from me coding from the moment iwake up to the moment i go back to sleep all i wanna do ever is drink and smoke bc its easy and it forces u to be happy and it takes no brain power cuz im exhausted at the end of the day all u do in life is get abused and work ur life away for money im seriously just considering k*lling myself bc i dont see how this is gonna get any better now that i dont have to do things i like and most of the things i like have been destroyed for me by all the years of mistreatment so i dont know what to do the only solution i cant hink of is su*c*de because my alcohol tolerance has increased by like 400% soon its not gonna help me either i dont know what to do i am just so angry that ive worked so hard whether it was for the band or for school i tried so hard to make everything in my life tolerable and in the end it still came out like this like it didnt work it didnt even help a little bit and if its been like this for over twenty years i dont see how its ever going to work out in the end so i feel like i just need to end it now to shorten my suffering like this is horrible this is awful

Thoughts on vol 2? Spoiler alert. Did u think there was any point to Eddie’s death?

overall:

• hated that we didnt get any canon gay will scene. i didnt necessarily want his heart broken by mike rejecting him but it wouldve been okay, altho preferably why the fuck didnt they use his talk with jonathan as the opportunity? it would not have killed them to add 2 - 3 minutes more just for that scene, and people would finally stop thinking will had a crush on eleven¿???¿¿¿? and itd be SOME justice having him come out esp bc robin already has and will is just some sad pining gay boy like... wtaf

• why did no one talk about max or eddies death. i could see how maybe steve/robin/nancy might not but mike? lucas? his band friends? lel what the actual fuck. and why were they not all depressed b4 cali crew arrived. i get all abt grief and such but two days is still very very fresh when ur friend is in a fucking coma.

• eleven using love as her strength and receiving words of love is absolutely one of the best parts of her story. for years she has been used as a machine and she doesnt have a concept of people just loving her, they all have always wanted something from her, but her mom and mike dont want anything from her. they loved just her. her journey of finding out that her powers dont have to result as a form of anger or pleasing others is an immense character growth, idc what people say. there is nothing wrong with using the love you receive to motivate you, and yes max was dying next to her, but henry literally belittled her and destroyed her hope. she deserved that type of push, shes been traumatized her whole life.

• robin might have a girlfriend which is cool i can respect this and encourage the wlw rep

and to answer your other question, i dont think eddies death was necessarily pointless, but it did not feel like his story came to any conclusion. he didnt Really seem to have done anything besides the cliché "im not running anymore" (at the worst time, mind you), and no one even mourned him? my only guess is that mike just doesnt know yet but... doubtful. duffers said in s5 eddies death will play a role so we'll see.
