and of course!! i see why it’s kinda tricky bc an oral fixation isn’t necessarily a “kink” per se, it’s more like a tendency or a habit, but it can definitely extend into sexual scenarios too. a person w an oral fixation has an urge that they can’t really help or control to have their mouth occupied w smth, whether it be chewing, biting, sucking, or licking. it usually provides some kind of pleasure or relief, so focusing on the enjoyment the person gets from having smth in their mouth is a good way to go abt it!

it could involve them constantly wanting to have their lips on their partner, always finding a way to kiss them without wanting to pull away or obsessively kissing all over their skin, nibbling at it or sucking at any part of their body their mouth touches. you can have the character w the oral fixation get noticeably needy or antsy if they don’t have their mouth full, they might start to suck on their own fingers, play w their lips, bite their nails, or nibble on the drawstrings of their hoodie n things like that (a detail i always find really cute to include is puckering or parting their lips reflexively around nothing to show that they’re craving smth in their mouth hehe)

they might take their partner’s fingers into their mouth and find comfort from sucking on them while having sex, or it can extend to them wanting to “nurse” on their chest or be very into giving oral. if the one w an oral fixation is dominant they might want to overstimulate their sub through giving them head over and over bc they dont want to take their mouth off of them even after they’ve finished. or they might cover their sub’s body in hickies bc they can’t get enough of biting and sucking at their skin (this can also tie into possessiveness too if you want!)

sending in a request is simple! you can go into my inbox and send in the character(s) you want! you can describe what kind of reader you want, as well as put in any scenario you want! however even tho his mom was a pos she still had her maternal moments with her children

i headcanon her to be kind of a complex character tbh.. i feel like she naturally was just an unpleasant person, probably due to being raised in a toxic environment, but nick’s dad made her so much worse

growing up she was the type to genuinely love and comfort nick and her other kids, especially after their father would do fucked up shit, she never neglected them (always made sure they were fed, clean, healthy, educated, etc) but the next day if they were to, let’s say, break a glass on accident she would flip the fuck out and probably back hand them, then call them the r word and useless. she was that kind of mother.

his dad a pos because that’s exactly how his own dad was. nick is definitely that person who just.. comes from a literal bloodline of terrible people.. one where literally no one stood a chance

i headcanon that the reason why nick’s marriage didn’t last was because of him. he treated her like shit, just like how his father treated his mother. not to the same extent, i don’t think he would beat a woman, but i think he would be the type to be too rough for comfort (ex. grab her by the arm roughly)

i think he would be the type to just not support her, sometimes talk down on her, and when fighting get in her face. he may have loved her, but he didn’t respect her and was a shitty husband to her. i also wouldn’t be surprised if he struggled with infidelity just like how his dad did

but i dont think his wife was a submissive one. i think she had a little bit of his mother in her. she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, put him in his place, smack him upside the head, etc

i think his wife after a while fell into depression (we all know when nick hears a witch he will sometimes say “sounds like my ex wife”) but was kind of scared to leave him? even though he never genuinely physically harmed her, she has seen him definitely physically harm men before.. so even though she didn’t think he would ever harm her per se, she knew what he was capable of and of course it made her nervous. but i think after a while she would gain the strength to leave. he probably did not take it well and it probably was not 100% a civil divorce, but after a while he would accept it and move on

basically his marriage was just a repeat of his parents’, just not as bad as theirs was

i feel like as nick got older and matured he realized a bit how disgusting he was. i feel like he would probably try to reach out to his ex to apologize, she hears him out and thanks him, is happy and proud of how much he has changed, but she still wants nothing to do with him (as she should)

and honestly i feel like this would be one of the catalysts of his character redemption

if you're genuinely interested, i really don't mind telling u what the plot is because i will quite literally never post it. it was the first fic i ever wrote for any anime, and i hadn't even gotten very far into the actual show at the point of writing—so while some aspects are (tenuously) canon-compliant, there are also many very clear ways in which it is not.

so, to reduce that terrible levi x reader fic (it's so bad and i MEAN that!!) down to its barest bones, start to finish:

[WARNING: THERE IS AN ENTIRE FIC SUMMARIZED UNDER THIS READ MORE AND IT IS MULTIPLE THOUSANDS OF WORDS LONG. THEMES INCLUDE: DUBCON, CANON CHARACTER DEATH, VAGUELY MISOGYNISTIC TONES, AND EVERY SINGLE CRINGE-Y FANFIC CLICHE U CAN IMAGINE. BYE.]

at the point where the fic opens, reader is a young, low-ranking soldier in the survey corps on her way to mitras with levi and erwin to attend a small gala being hosted by a very wealthy family that they're petitioning (effectively wooing) to provide funding for the corps

the reason reader is asked to come along is because she comes from a very good family in mitras and is connected to the "high society" folk—though never explicitly stated, erwin very much intends to use her and her social graces as a sort of poster child and mouthpiece for the corps, in hopes that she can charm ppl and help them gain favour to accomplish their goal

all things considered, reader was very privileged growing up and had as comfortable/luxurious of a life as anyone (at least anyone in paradis) could possibly hope to have. her family is aristocracy/noble and comes from a long line of "wealth." her father is a doctor who consults with the military in a high ranking capacity—though he's never actively been a soldier, and it's largely just a cushy job where he doesn't do much actual grunt work, just gets consulted on things and sits on boards or whatever

reader graduated from school and enlisted in the military when she came of age—to the shock and horror of her family (especially her mother) and their noble peers. but she felt an impetus to do something with her life that wasn't just sit around docilely and look pretty until eventually her father handed her over to an advantageous husband and she went from daughter to wife and surely then eventually mother—while never actually having any agency or choice for herself

because reader was well-educated from childhood, she did well academically at the cadet academy, and because she grew up in a comfortable home she is physically very competent as well (though truthfully her skill as a soldier is often very OP and cringey to read back now... but it was my first fic! sue me!)

levi and reader don't interact much in the corps (as he's not her squad leader) but when they do they're constantly at odds—he thinks less of her as a result of her silver spoon upbringing, and while she doesn't dislike him, per se, she definitely resents his treatment of her

on the trip to mitras (alongside a very uncomfortable homecoming to her estranged family's home with two men who are effectively her bosses) they attend the gala/banquet and it's revealed that the family hosting it is the most wealthy in mitras (save for the royal family, though they're sort of unofficially considered the second-in-command) who reader is very familiar with—they have a son her age, and a few daughters slightly younger, who she grew up close to (i made all these characters up btw.... first fic liv was rly going wild)

the son from this family was always sort of sweet on reader growing up, and they have a vaguely romantic history in their teens (before reader enlisted.) reader very quickly surmises that she was brought along (or at the very least is able) to possibly sway the son in their favour, as the eldest and heir to this family's fortune, who would in turn convince the father to support the corps

the son (his name is adam btw. if anyone cares? lmao) is actually very sweet, and earnestly cares for her. he's just blinded by his own affluence to a lot of realities—like most extremely wealthy people are

reader is a good soldier and she's cunning, and she knows that what she's doing is ethically/morally questionable but in the interest of the greater good she goes along with some flirtation/manipulation for the cause

the story progresses and reader continues her work in the military, but the heir from this family is clearly infatuated with her and he (and his father/family by extension) begin implicating themselves more heavily with the military as an excuse to see her/spend time with her/etc though of course it's all under the guise of official business

so it's like the life she fled is bleeding into the one she built for herself, and it's stark juxtaposition becomes very clear in those instances where they overlap and she's forced to juggle them both

she just wants to be a soldier and do good. erwin is (in so many words) pressuring her to do her part and keep up the charade. levi is watching this all unfold from the wings and starts to feel some genuine sympathy for her

lots of very dramatic things happen, yadda yadda yadda. levi grows less hostile over time, and reader becomes closer to him. she's always respected him and that grows into something mutual. there's a lot of unspoken tension brewing between them

it's revealed that reader threw her cadet exam results so that she wouldn't be in the top of her class, and therefore couldn't become an MP and had to join either the garrison or the scouts. she did it intentionally (erwin knew and used this to his advantage) so that her family wouldn't be able to force her back to mitras. when levi realizes what erwin did/knew and how he used it to his own advantage it really upsets him, because he's basically pimping reader out for the betterment of the survey corps. this is the first time you really see levi get angry about the way she's being used (and you can infer in this moment that he maybe cares about her a bit)

more dramatic stuff happens!

the story culminates in the reveal that the son is planning to ask for reader's hand in marriage. her own family has already agreed. part of the financial agreement the powerful family has made with the survey corps is that reader will effectively be retired once she marries (and transferred to a clerical role with the MPs. desk work, basically. fake work, for all intents and purposes, because the position was made up just for her)

reader goes to erwin, understandably extremely distraught when she finds out, and begs him to stop it from happening. she doesn't really care about getting married, but she doesn't want to leave the scouts. he effectively (though not explicitly/in these particular words) implies that maybe if she fucks her "fiance" he'll be more open to compromise and let her stay in the corps

she does it, but unsurprisingly loverboy is not about to let the woman he's obsessed with (who he has now officially boned lmao) go back to risking her life every day in the military, and it's almost immediately revealed that her plan didn't work at all

(erwin pretty much knew the whole time it wasn't going to work. bastard.)

reader feels betrayed and helpless. she goes to levi the night before she's set to leave—who basically is like "uhhhh i told you so??" upon finding out what's happened—and they end up sleeping together anyway in a very emotionally fraught and vulnerable moment

she leaves the next day

a timeskip happens. turns out that the ENTIRETY of the wealthy family was killed in the attack in mitras (like between annie and eren's titans i think? don't remember what season that is. a lot of ppl get smooshed in a church. they were there.)

but reader had already been married into the family. she wasn't in the church and inherited the entirety of their wealth as the sole surviving family member.

she was also.... pregnant :) (of course she was! this fic hits every trope and bad fanfic cliche! maybe it's twins!)

levi is back in mitras years (??) later (listen.... i didn't know where the hell the canon storyline of this manga was going at the time so FORGIVE ME for the fact that obviously this is not canon compliant l m a o)

reader has become sort of a recluse since everything happened in mitras, but having inherited the wealth she's become a key figure politically and particularly with respect to the military because of her influence as a donor.

levi tracks her down to this surprisingly humble property on the outskirts of town.

there's a little boy playing in the yard. no more than four or five. he has dark hair and slate grey eyes. levi looks at this child and sees his mother's face.

the little boy speaks to him but levi is (understandably) very confused and disoriented. reader comes outside and is shocked to see levi there. like she's seeing a ghost.

reader tells the little boy to come to her and scoops him up in her arms, and she quietly reminds him (his name is Teddy btw... short for Theodore) that he's not supposed to talk to strangers.

and Teddy leans in real close and says "but mama... he has your wings" because Levi is wearing his survey corps uniform with the insignia on them. you've kept your own patch (a parting gift from erwin when he sold you off... how thoughtful) and treasure it.

all of which is to say that basically Levi is the kid's father, but because reader was already married when her pregnancy was discovered and the timeline still checked out—so no one ever questioned the paternity (especially because she was a WIDOW by the time she gave birth.)

teddy is now the "legitimate" heir to the entire fortune that was left by reader's husband/his family, but until he comes of age it's reader's to manage, so she can provide a safe home for him to grow up in—though notably removed from the society that she was raised in.

it's heavily implied (though not actually confessed) that reader and levi have been in love with each other for all these years, and there's a kind of optimism about what future is ahead for them now that their paths have crossed again. (present day canon-knowing liv is laughing at this part in particular.)

so I'm personally going to take this as us being in the same position. we all know Gregory is morally grey because of the animatronics + the possibility that he dropped cassie, that's no secret. but also ggy would make him not as innocent as the games show him lol. ggy/dr rabbit would still be a huge reveal in the games since it hasnt been shown and only implied in a book. I think we're safe

if Gregory WERE to have been just evil on his own, it would contradict with the cutout of him comforting cassie and when he cried over Freddy and hugged him and when he saved vanessa. so my thinking is that in that scenario he would be like Thomas from the maze runner. he would have been bad voluntarily and then gotten memory loss that wiped his brain and then become good voluntarily. not a bad character per se but I dont think it's right for Gregory. him being glitchtrapped explains and makes sense for literally every part of his story so I think that's still the case :)

like in Freddy in space Gregory was a boss that threw discs at you, so like. clear patient 46 reference there, but my point would be that hes framed as a villain like vanny is, and vanny wasnt even truly a villain because everyone knew she was secretly unwilling/mind controlled. that's changed now since the killer rabbit alter egos are now separate entities from people like vanessa, but my point still stands

january! the first month of the year; cold, but in a renewing and refreshing sort of way. a new beginning!!! a new experience!!! and so many new possibilities existing in front of you!!! the level of expectations placed on january also aligns with the sort of burdens that reides had placed on him as well.

lotus flowers! i think lotus flowers really suit reides. even the way that they grow - rising out of water to bloom; existing in that beautiful margin between the aquatic and the earthen - is so... him. they also symbolize rebirth, which i think is very much aligned with the sort of stuff that reides went through when he initially ventured to the surface world (and kind of ties into the stuff i talked about for the month portion of this too!)

i'm aware that it's a slight cop-out to say the ocean, but, like, heres the thing: the ocean! LMAO. that salty sort of kick is super reides; the scent of the sea at dawn, that crispness, not dainty or elegant but effortlessly evocative... yeah. that's reides. he usually smells like that naturally. like the sea, plain soap, and ink.

gemstones

larimar, pietersite and pearls as well! also, i know they're not gems per se, but i also associate sea glass with reides a whole lot. they're gems to ME!!!

time of day

dawn! the very moment that the sun starts rising; when stars and maybe even the moon are still visible in the sky. as you can see, i really like associating reides with existing in between or on the border of various things fdkjdljg. i also think reides stays up really late typically so he's no stranger to being awake at this time LMAO

season

winter! ok im a little weird with this one so bear with me...... i really enjoy associating reides with coldness since he's such a sweet, passionate person and i like the idea of his optimism existing alongside the cold; i like the idea of the cold being a comfort instead of depressing or stoic or serious. bc for reides, the cold IS a comfort!!!! it gives him clarity and energizes him. it reminds him of his home seas and it empowers him.

stormy weather! >:) he is the storm prince, after all... for all his kindness, he is tumultuous and brings change. there's a lot of power to be found in storms, and that power is something that reides is learning to embrace. when he hatched, it was during a crazy storm that really wracked his home seas - and, sometimes, the people there maintain a superstition that baby-reides actually absorbed that storm's power. it's simply wack poetry stuff (that, frankly, used to freak reides out as a kid lmao) but what if they're right. what then.

magical powers

reides is a wizard who specializes in evocation magic, so you know he loves to harness da power of da elements... he especially loves ice and lightning magic. again, if something sounds stormy, he is probably tapping into that power and trying his best to let it surge through him.

weapons

reides' weapon is... the power he extracts from the weave teehee. he has a purple conch shell from home that serves as his arcane focus for all that! but, his magic aside, reides also has a dagger that was fashioned from the pelagic ore of his home seas and a crossbow that he named 'harpoon.'

it's gotta be salt water taffy! reides' fav candy as well as the candy that embodies his nature the absolute best :3

ill say, its kinda funny youve got 2 aus where Lilith just ends up taking care of a young Hunter cuz Wow You Really Like The Idea That Much (the "when all the characters you like follow a pattern" kind of funny.) but I am also obsessed cuz...the idea of Lilith with a child is fascinating, especially with Hunter. She's already so exhasperated with Eda's childish endeavors as it is, and she seems to not be..exactly good with children per se? (the times weve seen her interact with children at least.) And she also doesn't hold Hunter in high regards and so the idea of "What if Lilith raised him when he is but a small child?" is so entretaining and I think your Vampire AU explores it in a great way!! Like shes mildly annoyed at all times but its bc shes tired and hungry and stressed out and shes also in the position of basically raising him and she knows she should be gentler with him but she cant, and thats so very Lilith. Like such a very close to canon protayal of her.

ahhh!! please dont apologize i love talking about lilith and esp that vampire au lol. and it's actually a worry of mine that people think i don't understand lilith or am mischaracterizing her, simply because i happen to draw tender things!! (i say this because i don't see lilith as a very tender person, not naturally.)

thank you for saying that about my vampire au wheeze, cause i try very hard to use that au for that!! she's pretty rough with him because she's in this position where she's forced to care for something that is both a child and a predator to her. like he can literally kill her dead. but she was also a very solitary person prior to finding him and i really like thinking about her coming to the decision not to kill him and taking him under her wing. lilith is not heartless and we see that she has a conscience about others, particularly when she's not in competition for something. (when she was younger and shared pain with eda, when she hugs eda and tries to comfort her when she's crying about luz being so young and involved in all the chaos.) but she's not maternal, she's not naturally tender as an adult, she's not someone who's had to think about caring for another living thing, she thinks selfishly. she's someone who's had her focus on herself, hiding, feeding, keeping herself going all these years. and in the au, in hunters case, i kept him as an isolated character that hadn't experienced a caring guardian or parent and even though lilith is not very good at it, he doesn't know any better because of that and because he's so young. so it's almost like lilith has room for error and to build their relationship as she is because hunter just doesn't even know.

sometimes i think about the part where lilith shields luz from the stone sleeper. she throws her entire body over her, but it's all while saying ''eda is going to kill me, eda is going to kill me." this isn't to say she doesn't care about luz, but her drive to protect her is for her sister. she doesn't... like, she doesn't naturally have this instinct to be a guardian. WHEEZE, so it is the most fun and greatest of my past times to think about lilith parenting hunter in different aus. lol. I LOVE IT!!! i love her and i love him.

before i get going too long with this i'll just say thank you again and im so happy and glad that people like the aus so much. i have a human au i am really interested in sharing because it's just so cute. it's lilith with a BABY so it's very interesting to think about it all. im a little shy 'bout this one but we'll see how it goes.

i'm also going to use this ask to clarify that i don't just shove lilith and hunter together this way cause i like the idea. of course i LOVE the idea, but i do think about it as thoroughly as i'm able to, and because i love lilith (and hunter) so much, exploring her character in depth is something i just love doing. i think about her so much rip.

How come you dont vibe with comic sambucky? I haven't read many comics with either of them so I'm curious

I guess it just feels kind of lopsided? But not in a fun way. And then sometimes it feels a different kind of lopsided but in a bad way.

Like, it's easy to read buck as being infatuated with sam. He's got his "I care about not letting him down" thing, and his "I can't shoot him, he's too pretty" moment. But from Sam's point of view, he's just a mate. That's the only way I see it idk. He likes him, but you don't get the impression he's a massively important feature in his life, unlike with the mcu where you can feel the attachment and reliance.

(sidenote: I actually think this is a good thing. The times when sam's personal life gets overtaken by steve's entourage (especially ian) tend to feel off - they often make it feel like Sam himself views steve's life as more important than his own. He has his own life, his own family and friends. His 2015 series understood this - i.e. that he needs his own supporting cast to feel like an actual protagonist, and not steve's accessory.)

But yeah this lopsided-ness isn't a bad thing per se, you could go somewhere fun with it. I actually think Cold War missed an opportunity here. By having Bucky be attached to Sam in a way that Sam doesn't really reciprocate could make for a really good showdown between them. You have bucky pretending to be evil in order to trick steve into going along with something, and he's expecting to fight steve. But no, he gets Sam instead. And sam is like "Bucky's being a dick, so I'll fight him." because he's not too emotionally invested here. But bucky is thrown because he's not emotionally prepared to fight someone he has all this admiration for and nothing but good will.

This contradiction in perspectives comes to a head. Boom. Emotional climax. Changes the course of the plot. Falling action etc etc

But no, they didn't do that. They just threw a fight between them at the end there with some dialogue that didn't feel meaningful to me at all. Sam came into the situation with no real emotional investment and left it that same way. Just clocking in and out of work at the Captain America factory.

So that's the first thing, it feels like Sam doesn't have these feelings, and they don't really do anything with that asymmetry because I don't think they realise it's there, because these writers don't think Sam needs a complete internal world.

The other lopsided thing is the Falcon and Winter Soldier mini series. This just gave me bad vibes sorry. It's a mini series about Bucky and his pain and his problems and his wacky antics. Sam is there to play the straight man to his antics, and to nurture and tend to him.

Sam should never be cast as the straight man. In any sense of the term.

I am fundamentally uninterested in a version of this dynamic that is primarly driven by Sam looking after bucky. So, for me personally, interepreting their relationship in this series as romantic would turn it into something I don't like. Sam looking out for a friend? Fine, good, in character. But make it romantic and suddenly it's wrong to me.

I am fully convinced that this is not an appealing dynamic to sam. Like, a person who's coming to him for comfort and help? Not his type. Look at the people he's drawn to: Leila, Steve, Thor, Misty, Kyle (ignoring jet because that's just so so so ooc and regretable). It's people who are dominant, maybe authoritative. People who don't need anything from him, but want him anyway. People who pursue him, not people he's chasing after. He's specifically into Thor, and not Jane. Idk I just think that this version of their dynamic is one which is hard to imagine Sam even wanting.

This is all just very subjective opinion. And I do think that it's easily possible for them to get some interactions that give them a tone that I am into.

Personally, I am very keen on having them interact more outside of Steve. I think they're relationship to each other is more interesting without him there (and certainly without ian there. why is ian always here?) Hell, like I said, Cold War absolutely could have given us a more intense vibe from them. But it didn't. So, as it currently stands, I just don't vibe with it.

their color is like a bright blood red! they also are associated with black and bronze bc thats the other colors they are. they only wear like khaki cargo shorts tho so....

what sort of music would they like? have you thought about what genres or bands do they lean towards? do they have a favorite song?

in real life? linkin park (numb, faint, papercut), the “let the bodies hit the floor” song, bring me to life by evanescence. they exist in dnd world tho so they dont have bands per se but they like metal! their bud izzy is a metal vocalist and they think him singing is calming. any depressing music with people yelling or really harsh noise is their thing

weapon of choice? any particular reason they chose their weapon?

they are their own weapon!! they are a monk so they use punches and kicks. they had a sword at first bc its part of the gear dnd characters get lol but sold it once their punches did more damage. they also have a TINY bit of magic (warlock) so they use spells too, but far less. they like to brag about not needing a weapon but also theyre not that good at fighting lol.

how crafty/resourceful are they?

ummmm theyre kinda crafty but theyre not very creative, so i think it depends. working out an ingenious solution to something is Not their thing, but they can do delicate bead work and shit. give em instructions to follow and theyre golden.

they are usually naked because robot, but they do prefer aesthetics kinda. the big ass pants and no shirt tits out sort of look (they dont have tits) is what they r going for. they crave looking goth and such but are too self conscious rn, anything that “should” make them feel confident just makes them miserable

their friend tboy fried to give them “tincan” as a nickname and they held a grudge against him for it. they really really hate nicknames, “aide” is the only name theyre comfortable with. its pronounced like Ay-Dee though! so people call them “aid” or “ed” assuming the e is silent and they get angry about that too.

they dont HAVE to eat bc theyre a robot. the only thing they have ever, in their life, eaten or drank is whiskey. so... i guess whiskey? they would keep kosher if they ate but again they do not

they do!!! their most prized possession is a necklace with a magically frozen real teardrop on it (gnaeus gave it to them). wearing one is a social sign of being in mourning; they never take it off. they make their own jewelry and are proficient with jewelers tools. they prefer bronze over those two and rubies/red shit are their fave but onyx and diamonds cool too.

ohhhhhhh lol they have a LOT of 15 yr old cas in them lol. more than i realized at first. theyre REALLY depressed and angry in a way i can relate to so there's a lot there... i do think they are MORE angry than i am tho and they have very different priorities in life. theyre also pretty actively suicidal and at a low point whereas i am doing very well :). i think *i* would like them but idk if they would like me. we are autism. also i am a gay man and aide is TECHNICALLY attracted to men but not as a man.

theyre coming up on two years i think in terms of when i made them. theyre 6 in canon. their birthday is Eleasias 20th which is 8/20 irl. this is NOT when i made them, i chose it bc its the very end of summer where the light starts dwindling. they never celebrated until their friends made a huge deal out of the 6th one, and theyre fine with it but wont go out of their way to do it themself

what languages do they speak? how fluently?

common, gnomish, elvish, dwarven, and grippli (which is a frog language)! you could sort of say gnomish is their native language (built by gnomes) but they grew up speaking it and common basically the same amount. they also speak common and gnomish sign language. theyre still fluent in dwarven and elvish but they use them FAR more rarely so theyre rusty.

also they have a magical ability to read Any writing (warlock eldritch invocations baby!) but this does not translate to speaking

are they any good with numbers?

theyre like fine with them. not a calculator, but pretty good. their favorites are 80, 18, and 8.

how big or small is their family? who did they live with growing up? do they live with anyone now?

if you ask them they have No family. No relatives. they consider gnaeus a father and spent their entire life including “childhood” with him, but are angsty and moany about how actually they are nothing to each other and gnaeus has his own family and aide isnt part of it and boo hoo. they sort of have a dad (person who wanted them built) but he’s dead. they have a friend who considers them a sibling, but he told them this and they threw a fit so that didnt go well. and theres a LOT of other “aide” robots (they are aide 80 after all) but aide doesnt consider them or the gnomes that made them “family”

do they have any pets? what do they call their pets?

THEY DONT YET but i kinda want them to find some random possum or something and claim it is their warlock familiar. no one can tell if aide is joking or if aide thinks that a familiar is just any animal you decide to call that.

how did they spend their summers/free time as a child?

um they weren’t ever really a KID but they spent most of their life traveling with gnaeus, staying with rich friends of his and being kinda allowed to do whatever.

*once a person is dead they have really strict morals for how to treat dead people respectfully. they will never ever take something from a corpse (a LOT of dnd is looting corpses. they do not do this.) and they usually leave a small stone by the body or grave as a sign of respect. they will, however, absolutely kill innocent people. they respect the dead almost more than they respect the living.

are they quick to anger? what sets them off?

They are. And Everything Does.

in a universe with cars, probably they can drive but only manual. theyd want red and itd be pretty clean bc they wouldnt use it for anything except driving.

they dont sleep at all, they just enter a “rest mode” where they can still see and are fully conscious but dont move. that said they do NOT sleep well at night LOL. they hate resting bc it means theyre alone with their thoughts for 6 hours so they try to avoid it when possible but people get MAD so they cant rly get away with it and they don't bother trying.

They have a really deep and affectless voice cuz robot. It gets high and screechy when they're mad. They can't sing for shit its utterly toneless

they make jewelery! they briefly sort of got into makeup but they have weird feelings about physical appearences rn and also it made them feel good and they do Not want to feel good rn. no indulgences allowed

pretty fine! Their hearing is average and they have dark vision but only one eye so their depth perception isnt great.

they are REALLY fast, but they aren't super dexterous. More of a freight train than anything else. they are a monk so they're very agile but compared to monks with actual good stats they're clumsy as hell

Not rly! They're more death themed than element themed.

They are sort of neutral both ways. except when gnaeus gives them smth they take that really really seriously. they mostly kinda just feel awkward about it from most ppl. If you punched them they'd consider that a really good gift.

I think all their habits are self destructive. OH they refer to people by however they introduce themselves even if other people use nicknames. even to the point of if you have a super super long name they will say the entire thing every single time. This is bc they hate being called nicknames and thus do not call people by them

ahhh idk because the charavters they're around are my friends OCs, they don't interact with any of my other OCs really.

not good, not smart, not powerful, not useful, not someone whos perspective is worth listening to or someone who's talents are particularly valuable. they also believe they can't become abt of those things because (TO THEM) you can't become good by wanting to be good, because good people don't have to want it, they just are it. so they're resigned to the fact that they cannot better themself bc their motives aren't pure so anything they do is futile How they'd say it; "I can't just magically make myself a smart or talented or good person. I have to work on it and it would take a while and it wouldn't even matter because I'd only be doing it to try and impress someone. People who are actually important don't have to want it."

Both these things are valid and normal!

Differing from the source can happen with any alterhuman identity (alterhuman being an umbrella term for all kinds of "other than normal human" identity types: otherlink, otherhearted, otherkin, plural, etc). Conforming 100% to canon is actually pretty limiting when you think about it. Depending on your linktype you might be lucky and it's a very fleshed out character with a lot of canon content for it, but what if it's an obscure side character? If you want to stick to canon in the obscure case, there's not much you can use without adding to it yourself, expanding the canon with headcanon. Now, headcanon can allign with canon instead of contradicting it, but there's no reason not to contradict it/change things if that's what better vibes with you! Linking is about taking on an identity that benefits you in some way and feels comfortable, and if you feel more comfortable with an AU version of a character than the canon version, then hell yeah AU we go. I have a couple of links that vary from canon. Tl,dr: Perfectly valid!

Yes absolutely that's okay, you can be more than one version of a character! And linking from fics is normal too ^u^ The only thing to watch out for is that if you talk to the author to be considerate that not everyone is familiar with otherlinking and some artists might be uncomfortable hearing that you identify with/as their work. Doesn't mean you're not allowed to link it if they're uncomfortable per se - that's a bit of a tricky subject. If they find out you link their version of a character and they tell you they don't like that, you have the option of making an OC based of their fic instead. Or you link it quietly without them hearing about it again. That's smth you need to decide on based on how comfortable you are with knowing you're doing something the creator disapproves of. Tl,dr: Also super valid!
