so sorry for talking about tacomic discourse even though theres already been a morbillion asks about it and the topic died like a week ago.

my take: as long as you arent glorifying toxicity or presenting a toxic relationship as being good and desirable there is literally no issue?

people act like you can’t write character personalities or plots differently than what’s canonically presented and thats CRAZY. people do it ALL THE TIME with everything else, have you SEEN how many AUs exist??? why is it a problem with tacomic?

like the whole point of writing ship dynamics and making fanart and fanfic is that the characters will literally never act this way in canon (cause object shows rarely have canon ships). as long as you arent shipping illegal stuff theres literally no problem.

and honestly i think i have to have this outlook on it as a floorphone shipper(SORRY FOR BRINGING UP FLOORPHONE AGAIN BUT I SWEAR ITS RELEVANT), otherwise i’d be a hypocrite. basically yada yada mephone wanted sooo badly to get rid of floory in ep 12 but then they end up becoming cohosts, and like their dynamic does a whole 180 canonically because of this. That just proves, yeah, its possible for two characters to be written in a way where their dynamic starts as 🔥enemies🔥 and then they becomes friends or lovers, even. guys the enemies to lovers trope is soo overused but its also soo epic.

but yeah people who act like its impossible to ship something unless the characters were best friends from the very start or never did any harm to one another are actually bonkers. like are we forgetting the fantube divorce? i dunno man the way test tube was acting toward fan was prettyyy toxic. what about sodapack? canonically they’re pretty awful for each other but a large majority of the fanbase continues to ship them (myself included lmao). even fireafy has toxic traits and thats one of the most popular bfdi ships. personally i think a ship is better and more believable when there ARE disagreements or occassional bad things that happen. that doesn’t necessarily make a relationship unhealthy, every relationship will have the occassional ups and downs. thats just how it is. and to act like everything HAS to be perfect or else it’s unhealthy is just. ugh. that makes it seem like no one should ever ship anything ever again.

i know people are gonna be like ‘but taco was only ever manipulative toward mic!!!’ and yeah i agree, but you’re forgetting my earlier point. you can write things differently lmao.

the amount of fanfiction I have written that COMPLETELY IGNORES canon is nuts. guys it’s no fun to have to follow canon to a t, go crazy be silly write the funny fanfic where literally everyone is ooc and the plot makes no sense, i love stuff like that.

(This is for the kids or Two and J if they also want to answer) What are some of your favourite things/or activities to do?

Three: I really like playing catch! And you know what I dont like? WHEN DUMB PEOPLE DONT CATCH!

Four: I LOVE WATCHING BFDI!! But I also like hanging out with X! And lately I've been kinda helping J and Two with cooking! I really like it! And math, and teaching others stuff! But my favoritest thing is watching BFDI! And rewatching it! And telling people facts about BFDI!

X: Oh.. I don't know. All the things I like, I like them because I learn them or do them with someone. I think all I do by myself is draw, but also I play and watch Four and the caretakers do cooking, I wish I could help them, because food is so so tasty! And I like taking care of plants, and thinking of stories.. but I dont know my favorite thing.. Oh! I also like weaving baskets! I like baskets a lot.

Y: I like making things! Sometimes Five helps me make them because he knows a lot of stuff, or Six helps designing them! I love making useful things, and reading. And making sure my siblings dont get into trouble..

Five: Reading. That's it, I think?..

Six: I like drawing! And bubbles.. and swimming! And setting things on fire. On that drawing note, I also do scrapbooks and collages and that kind of thing, it gets my style through way better than my own art sometimes!

Eight: Playing poker, loteria, chess, tabletop games, really.

Nine: I-I love skating! And surfing the internet! And.. all those radical cool kid things, yup! I totally don't also kinda like boring things like sewing stuff 'n knitting.. no way, nope, dude!

Ten: Challenges! Helping people, doing new things, new experiences, watching TV if I have to relax, yeah! I'm always up and open to anything anytime!

Fourteen and Seven in unison: 0, 7, 14.. EATING PEOPLE!!

Fourteen: I prefer the skin though. I also like doing pranks! And taking pictures of bugs! I like bugs. I have a collection of bugs. They're dead, but..

Seven: …Honestly, I just want Fourteen to be my friend- I also like jokes, and I'm pretty good at dancing and singing! I just really like it when everyone's eyes are on me.

Fifteen: Unlike me. I guess my favorite thing to do is being alone. Hunting and woodcarving are neat, too.

One: Hmm, I don't know. I just watch everyone do their stuff…

Four: Oh? Hm, hm, yes! The egg is saying her favorite thing is watching BFDI with Four! And being with me.. all day.. all the time-

Seven: No, they like to wiggle and dance!

Three: He likes to play catch with me, shut up!

J: No.. and don't play tug of war with it, it's fragile! We can't know what they like until they hatch and grow.. Right now, all they must like is staying warm and safe, not getting all shaken up and yelled at.

Two: Uh.. Well! I enjoy baking and gardening! And talking with J.. And taking care of the kids, of course.

J: Yeah, with a job like this, you kind of have to enjoy it, or risk going insane. Anyway, I like cooking and honestly any kind of fiber art- embroidery, knitting, sewing, felting, weaving… And sleeping! Can't forget that one.

hi!!! I saw your bfdi high fantasy au and I am insane so could you explain to me each of the like,,, roles/classes/skills the DPA guys have!! I could tell Pie was a knight/paladin looking gal, Tree was an archer/ranger, Black Hole looked magical (sorcerer of some kind???) etc but I’d love to hear you go into more detail about it :DD

Pie - Paladin/Knight, which was exactly what i was going for :3 this was mostly an excuse to put pie in a suit of armor/j but i can see her swearing an oath to preventing death or something like that

Tree - Tree is definitely a ranger! hes very in tune with nature (natural perk that comes with Being A Tree) and is great with directions. out of all the DPA guys i think tree would probably be the best at.. keeping people alive

Black Hole - Sorcerer! Black Hole specializes in destructive (possibly necrotic) magic, which isnt the best when you're trying to prevent death, but it's not entirely their fault. in this au, black hole is cursed! anything they touche starts to decay

Marker - WIZARD! hey guys im so normal about wizards. did you know this? Marker uses (you guessed it) a purple marker to cast their magic. (he also uses it to write runes and such) generally theyre very artistic and like playing games. silly little guy

Lightning - Barbarian, maybe with elemental magic as a bonus? Lightning can't hold concentration on spells but he can absorb elements and shock the hell out of people, as a treat. He has anger issues hes trying to work on. generally very inquisitive & asks for clarification a lot

Fanny - ROGUE.... the most rogue coded girl ever to exist. i dont know why she gives off those vibes, she just does. I think of fanny as being rebellious & having strong ideals that she sticks to. also she gets to stab people. it just feels right to me

Remote - i can see her as maybe an Artificer, on top of generally being a Girl whos a Robot. her transgender swag. I imagine she's pretty smart & i think its fitting for her to build little gadgets (and or bombs bc of that one time she sent robot flower a bomb) her whole character revolves around the amount of control she has in her life (yes thats a pun) (i like her a lot)

i defeated/completed Indigo Park

im not used to playing games this big, i mean were talking almost 9gb here

i dont play enough horror games. even then, most of my experience is with action horror like idv where its more of a theme, and rpgmaker games. mascot horror is a bit outside my wheelhouse, but i am aware of it. who couldnt be? i can only imagine its the genre when you wanna make a profit going indie. while the genre itself was popularized when fnaf really took off, this format of a setpiece-heavy horror fps with light puzzle elements was really popularized by poppy playtime. and garten of banban. and rainbow friends. and-

anyway, ive been told that this project is headed by the youtuber UniqueGeese. i cant say im familiar, but it looks like theyre really experienced when it comes to mascot horror. its really neat to see someone with roots in critique and transformative content break out and make their own game. judging from the sheer quantity of videos, he sure seems to know what hes talking about, so its neat to see how the experience of a player translates to developer.

either way, it feels like this was a passion project, not a cash grab. sure, its free, but so is a lot of first chapters. it reminds me about how gacha games give you a bunch of free rolls when you first sign up. well, thats an unfair comparison (at least in indigo parks case), this feels more comparable to a demo for a full game. its not just an enticement, so it feels easier to pay for the rest of the game incrementally instead of watching youtubers play, it feels like a surface-level experiment to give the inevitable next episode something to build off of

so hows the game, anyway? well, its short. the credits rolled about 50 minutes in, and i was taking my time. there wasnt really a gimmick or anything, either. like, there wasnt a thing to make the gameplay stand out or make the puzzles unique. hell, there werent puzzles, the closest was turning around to see a missing gear or two. its refreshing to see something so straightforward, but im worried than not having something special and distinct will make it get lost in the crowd. which is a shame! i had a lot of fun, and id love to see a chapter 2. all i ask is that there be some more accessibility options. i really appreciated the subtitles, but maybe some mouse sensitivity settings would be nice. other than that, just a really solid and charming horror game!

1. His glitching

It might not seem like alot, but why would a METAL spring glitch out of no where? The glitching indicates hes not a normal object, infact, hinting hes mechanical. And who works with robotic and devices? COBS HIMSELF

2. The weird uh.. cereal box spaceship thing

Remember in s2 ep14 when the egg ship came and Mephone said "cobs always wanted a space ship"? These ARE spaceships basicly,, that's rlly all i got for no.2 😿

3. The post cards of past contestants

How would springy immideitly know who competed in all ii seasons and their elimination order? Well--unless Mephone told him--highly doubt it tho!! It seems rlly cliche but Steve Cobs might've studied the show to manipulate the contestants??

4. The robots

IF Cobs were to study the show, he would've known who would manage to change each contestants mind to idk,, leave the show? In also s2 ep14, when Mepad and Mephone were talking, Mephone was thinking of just "forgetting the show" and Mepad explained on how Cobs wanted that, how he wanted him to end inanimate insanity. And, Steve Cobs would try to maybe hurt mephone by ending ii (Mephones happiness) and with that, try to get the contestants to leave. And how Springy said "don't you want contestants that dont want to leave you?" or smth like that, trying to convince Mephone to leave his contestants and get other ones, or aka none.

5. Bot

How Springy got Mephone to sign a contract and try to force bot to coming with him seemed a bit off, knowing how they're the only robotic character in the show, who would've easily been tricked. And idk if Bow knows about Meeple or anything, and how Bot has the memories Bow has, they wouldn't have known. Plus Cobs could change the chip in Bot in a mind Cobs programmed.

6. Mephone4

Springy mentioned his childhood multiple times, even ruining it (on accident, sorta coming out as a bad guy) the childhood that Cobs was in. He constantly said how he should get this or that, some think having to do with childhood, and yeah.

Have had this au idea in my brain for a while but i wanna put it down in writing so that i dont forget it and this seemed like a good place to put it for now. its a mass crossover au mainly between bfdi ii and aib

Ok so, it starts off with Red Eyes finally taking their true form and attacking the Blank Slate. Oodle tries to stop them but gets really beat up in the process. In a panic, he opens up lots of dimensional portals hoping to knock Red into one of them. Red gets fed up and decides to go after the other objects instead bc they know that they're friends of Oodle and ends up badly damaging Tivo and throwing him through a portal.

Oodle, wanting to help him but not abandon the contestants, opens one last portal and tells everyone else to run to it while he distracts Red. Nabla is the last one to run through, after grabbing a fallen piece of Tivo real quickly (for science). When they get through, they step into a field next to a forest and a strange orange building and kinda freak out because this world looks a lot different than the empty void they just left.

Meanwhile, Oodle gets away from Red long enough to run through the portal Tivo landed in and finds himself in space. Tivo is not far away, badly damaged but somehow still active. He assumes Oodle has abandoned Blank Slate due to Red and is pissed because Oodle had been running away from Red for a long, long time and prolonging this confrontation is a problem that doesn't make sense to him when Oodle could simply just try to stop them or talk to them. After a small conversation, he connects to Oodle's rocket boots (he forgot to take them off lol) and sends him flying back into the portal he came from.

That takes up pretty much the rest of Tivo's energy and he resorts to lying low in sleep mode. He sends out an SOS signal that reaches some certain people on Earth (*cough* Gb and Tb and the rest of are you okay *cough*). They fly out on a spaceship to check it out, and find him. They're very confused, so they grab him and take him back to see what he is because they've never seen anything like it before.

Yeah that's all I got for the time being but its a really fun au for me to think about and I like making silly little shows about objects more serious lol

2 - Least favourite show? Already answered! (Its object terror) 3 - Underrated show? LEGENDARY ADVENTURES FOREVER ^^ Short so far, but REALLY funny stuff in that show. Some of the jokes can fall a Little Flat to me but its never anything bad LOL. GOT SOME RLY FUN CHARACTERS TOO If u have a bit of time to watch an object show Id say watch this one. Partially cuz of my Next Point (Honorable mention: ACTOE) 7 - Underrated character? Snowy LAF <3 I feel like a lotta ppl I know would like this guy. I tend to be Biased towards short high pitched voice Guys anyway (also hes gay. Like canonically. Just wanted to mention this cuz Its a Win For Me) 13 - How many characters do you think should be in an object show ideally? Something between 10 and 20 usually seems Fine to me. Anything above that kinda Crunches my brain unless Its a case like BFDI where its More Over Time Over Years but thats . Really just an exception to the rule TBH 14 - What do you care about most in an object show? Simple Answer probably but I wanna be able to tell that ppl are just Having fun and putting passion into their shows. Everything else I can Give Or take. Object shows are really just passion projects between very few ppl and should be treated as such I feel like memorable character designs could be pretty important too, this can be Tricky sometimes cuz No One Owes An Object but theres many ways to make em stick out from another Same object 16 - A show/character you love that everyone else hates?
