headcanon that the thing that draws killer to color first is color's six souls situation. he wants to experiment on them so badly, but can never get to beat color so he goes plan b: pretend to befriend color then backstab him later. fortunately the plan backfires and the rest is history :)

also, i do wonder if killer has ever offered color to absorb his red soul. like, is killer's soul human enough? would color become a god after absorbing killer's soul? i think that would be a conversation color has to steer away, but killer can't stop his curiosity and self-destructive hypothesizing. color can become a god. color will be invincible. color can finally be safe like that. and like, maybe if color absorbs killer's soul, killer can finally communicate with the six souls and realize the horrors of raising six semi-children in your head as a single parent.

And I absolutely adore the idea of how it started being that killer wanted to experiment on him lmao. Especially if its like “if this guys gonna keep lingering around, might as well make him useful,” and then he just keeps getting his ass beat over and over.

And then he decides to just go the friend route, play along and pretend he’s listening to the “bullshit” Color’s spewing, but color’s actually being genuinely nice. like, genuinely? hes not even trying to make killer stop or change, just firmly setting boundaries and redirecting killer’s curiosity on to something less destructive. and now, oh no, he likes him. hes fascinating.

and i think killer proposing the idea of color absorbing his soul even once is interesting, even if indirectly and possibly during one of his more self destructive or paranoid moments. perhaps if something happens that threatened colors life or somehow caused him to be hurt, or if something is just making killer think about them being separated. perhaps stage 1’s insecurity or just nightmares.

probably proposed it something like, “what if we became one” and color makes a light joke like “that would be awful, this heads already so full, dont you dislike children?” and then killer keeps going on with his line of thought. how color would be a god basically, how they’d be together, how maybe killers soul could help be a source of further power for color.

how hed be safe. killers soul is strong enough to rewrite entire timelines. color wouldn’t even have to worry about death.

of course killer may phrase it as something along the lines of how itd make color more powerful whenever he voices it, but color doesn’t care for more power and they both know that and color knows that he knows. color can read between the lines and killer knows that, too.

maybe this is even just killers way of expressing or wondering about how much closer they could get it, how much more there is to understand.

maybe killer less wants to know about colors souls now and more that he wants to know the souls because he wants to know color. maybe he wants to know everything he can learn about him; learn everything he can.

idk just the idea of killer being so intensely fascinated with and curious about color tickles me—something about it becomes less like scientific curiosity and more now that extremely rare desire to connect with someone. because color makes him feel understood and for the first time he feels safe being understood.

and perhaps if/when he becomes more aware of that, the intensity, is enough to cause killer to withdraw emotionally from color for a bit; even if he can’t stop mulling it over in his mind. maybe he even thinks if color absorbs his soul, then he’ll never lose access to that hope and happiness again. theres no threat of it. perhaps becoming a little lost in his fantasy for a bit.

Aiden is the son of a chief/king? He wants to grow up and be as revered as his father. His friend of childhood is from a rival place and his name is Dante.

Aiden is trans and his dad doesnt really have faith but thanks to his mom and Frank (who he meets as a kid) he gets trained up and finally accepted in to the army.

Aiden and Dante find out their homes are at war and are like “nooo dont fight haha” and their parents are like “yea? Political marriage” and theyre like “shit”

So they become engaged, Dante has a small crush on Aiden so hes not that mad, Aiden doesnt want it. Their parents still plan to fight but in a backstab way.

Dad needs a right hand man, doesnt choose Aiden, chooses his rival but soon to be best friend (I dont have a name yet for them).

They go to war, Aidens dad tells him “lol go kill Dante while I kill the dad” Aiden gets told by deity same thing. To kill Dante or blood will be shed from his home. Aiden is about to, cant go through with it. Dante doesnt know.

They still win the battle, marriage is obviously called off. Aidens dad gets help from a witch to head home while Aiden meets Barnaby and gets help handling the witch (her name is Willow).

Dad and Frank get into an argument lmao. Frank is like “I pseudo raised your kid” and dad is like “nuh uh” dad does NOT know hes arguing with a deity. Aiden adult at this point.

Aiden meets Wally. Wally meets his parents and they bond a bit before he leaves after I think a week? Month? Dont remember. Aiden is big sad, bro misses him even tho he almost killed him.

Mom proud of the warrior Aiden became.

Another battle at war. Aiden is finally given the chance to lead a team. Blinds Dantes brother who is a tyrant. Frank and Aiden argue about leaving the guy alive.

Aiden meets Cloud god (lmao)

Dantes dad kills Aidens dad. Best friend saves the remaining crew by getting them tf out of there. They also found out Dantes brother was also killed but Aiden doesnt know if that was his fault.

Aiden meets Mathew after going through Eddies sacred lands or spirits and memory. Finds out mom died too. Aiden says fuck it Im going to be brutal with everyone.

Kills Dantes dad.

Taking care of Camila , his lil sis, and meets Wally again. Lovey lovey again.

Frank is like “bro nah thats a god youre a mortal” Aiden is like “you right” and tries to break up with Wally but Wally is like “Wait no, fuck the rules” and Aiden is like “…touché”

Aiden proposes, they marry

Maybe a kid? Debating.

Dante has a kid.

Dante sends assassins, Aiden kills them. Brutal with his opponents. Sacrifices his men. Goes through mutiny. Howdy like “lol death to your crew”. Best friend dies but also finds out that friend is who killed Dantes blinded brother which led to Aidens dads death.

Aiden tries to break off with Wally again because of everything hes been through he doesnt want that for Wally. Wally is like “Calm down—“

Lovey lovey

Dante has a dream of killing Aiden. Gets his crew for a strike.

Kills Aiden. Aiden says goodbye to his sister as shes taken away to safety as his home burns.

Wally grieving when he finds out

Kills Dante

Camila (adult now) comes back and calms Wally down. Befriends him.

Camila dies of old age.

Wally is learning to deal with grief.

Meets Aiden again as reincarnation.

Continues to love him through reincarnation and reincarnation.

Eventually gives up his divinity to live as mortal with Aiden.

rai's overall characteristics, and how they were revived

BEWARE!!!! this is just a long ass post with an infodump about my oc

rai is a wildcard for the empire of might, the kingdom of science and the american colony as they act in ways people around them work the way it benefits them in the long run without them having to interfere much.

they are open to talk and support any side as long as their life (or a loved one's) isnt the price- if a group aids them for a short amount of time, they will backstab them after they get what they wanted.

i like to think rai was one of the earliest persons revived in the empire of might, maybe around the same time as gen or not so long after minami; they were the one with the idea of reviving hyoga, who they knew in the modern world and it was someone who they thought it would be beneficial to have around -not exactly for the empire of might, but for them, personally

when revived, minami described rai as someone perceptive and intelligent, an individual with great agility. tsukasa trusted them to a certain degree, and could've became his right hand instead of hyoga, if it wasn't for their lack of talking when it came to important discussions within the empire, and how they became secluded from it

they initially shared hyoga's vision of a new world and helped him with pulling some strings from the shadows as they tend to be cautious with the things they do. later on as they realized how things could easily go south in their postion, and they started to test the ground "joining" the kingdom of science around the same time as ukyo; only as a two-sided coin, since they kept their loyalty to hyoga intact, to an extent.

they helped hyoga in his plan to get rid of tsukasa, only to watch him lose to that guy and senku from the distance. they wouldve replaced kohaku in stopping homura from helping hyoga, with some corny ahh line like "men should be able to protect themselves" and then apologizing to homura for catching her.

rai's involvement in hyoga's plan was never known by the kingdom of science until later on, with them slipping up as the perseus made its way to america whoopsies

they liked their position in the empire of might as they were considered to be in the same level as tsukasa, hyoga and ukyo.

however, they disliked the attention they were getting from it and they drifted apart from being constantly present within the tower to lurking and patrolling in the forest, pretty much like homura.

this also helped them to find some nice spots for training with their whip, as they were uncertain their abilities were still fresh after being.. 3000+ years petrified. during winter they managed to get food for the empire and were praised for their knowledge in wildlife- something they know a lot about thanks to being raised in farms and rural areas

when it comes to strength, they mostly depend on their whip. they are not as strong as tsukasa althrough they can punch and kick things really hard and deal some great damage from their hits due to their muscles; but again, they are not trained in that and therefore they dont know how to properly defend themselves in 1v1 combats (at least before the america arc)

Who are your fave and least fave fkmtverse characters?

the first that came to mind was hyoudou senior i just dont enjoy seeing him on screen very much and i think hes boring & annoying as a character. hes fine in middle management blues tonegawa cause then its a comedy manga & we poke fun at him but like as an Antagonist in Best Gambling Manga Ever Made Kaiji Part One its like. i just dont want him ever having the spotlight for more than than a single plotbeat at a time. im less scared thinking about "what if the ending of kaiji ruins all of my analysis so far?" than when i read people talk about hyoudou being the final antag of part 7. this is my 1 singular fear but this being said, im fine with hyoudou existing. hes not that bad. the one in zero was worse and by "the one in zero" i do mean theres at least 3 (?) of them and theyve merged into 1 singular existence in my memory. im sick of them. can we stop? it makes me appreciate how fucking awesome washizu is when i see fkmt utterly fail at writing any other good character w this archetype. what did he put in washizu that made him awesome? mahjong?

i typed too much about hyoudou but i still wanna mention some absolute FLOPS of fkmt characters like the protagonist from RUDE 39 (the pachinko manga fkmt did) katagiri yuuji... whys he named the exact same thing as the protag of t*m*dachi game? RED FLAG. i actively rooted for his ruin the entire time i read that one. i dislike him greatly. can we kill him? in a similar vibe i just cannot like nikaido of hell golf fame. initially i wanted him put in a death game cause thats just what i like reading about but it progressively grew into a need to see him suffer horribly on screen. i need him tortured and NOT mentally the psychological torture of being a loser is NOT enough for him i need him in REAL ACTUAL HELL. im still keeping w the nikaido chapters tho

my blogging may sound like i hate miyoshi greatly also but thats all in jest & good fun hes a good antagonist and a good punching bag. its very fun and enjoyable to go "miyoshi sucks miyoshi should die me and my friends wouldve killed miyoshi with hammers" which makes him a GOOD character i enjoy. hes awesome. hes my singular favorite example of hte trope of "the protags friend betrays them in the death game" its so masterfully pulled. miyoshis awesome. & i love how they wrote him in life in tokyo ichijou LOL hes also very important for kaijis depth of character- heres a guy he saved who then backstabs him. does he still believe in trust? is he still incapable of (direct) violence? and paves the way for part 4+5. miyoshis awesome. hes not top 3 favorites tho. hes just an honorable mention i guess

as mentionned i love washizu also hes my grandpa and i love him. also i love akagi hes my one singular favorite fkmt character its not even close no elaboration needed. i enjoy & love & think about all the akagi characters, banger after banger, urabe u are so funny, and so on. one year ill remember to celebrate yukio day properly. lets move on

SAHARA i love sahara an abnormal amount ive just made up so much shit about him that is real to me n then i read part 1 again n i dont notice that theres very little supporting my vision. but im RIGHT. he begged to be in the death game. he BEGGED to be in the DEATH GAME over being a WORKER. this dude rocks. i know in my heart that he loves gorey movies and he laughs when the characters die & his favorite movie is funny games but he disagrees w everyones analysis of it he just thinks its a fun movie? its a fun time? i also love endou & have similarly made shit up about him to meeeee he got broken up w between part 1 and 2 and htis explains literally everything about him. the way he yells at kaiji in the bathroom is just him projecting his frustration & anger he had with his ex. its NOT about kaiji. it simply makes sense.

uhm this is already too long but i didnt even get to ten. i love ten dearly. i also enjoy mamiya greatly as a character shes funny & a very interesting protagonist for a psychological, hot mahjong action work. her kinda character would be more usually seen in comedy slice of lifey mahjong (like penchan!) so its interesting. its fun. its new

in conclusion i like the characters that are good and dislike the ones who are suck

I dont understand the Skyler White hate, why people hate her so much even tho she didnt do so bad things like Walter did?

Okay I can admit that the worst things she did was probably when she smoked twice while being pregnant and when she cheated Walter with Ted but the thing what she did with Ted, Walter kinda deserved that because Walter stopped communicating with Skyler and putted a whole family in danger +also Skyler wanted to divorce Walter, so they basically wasnt together anymore even tho Walter forced himself to live in the house but that still doesnt take away that fact that they were basically over and nothing can ever take them back to the time when they loved eachother.

Skyler also probably got trauma of everything what Walter did to them family, so basically her reactions to the abuse was justifible and many others wouldve reacted too if they were in her position, it would be wierd if they didnt.

Many Skyler haters are probably going to get mad at this, but in my opinion Skyler was really important character in the show, if she wouldve been non-reactive and saying "yes" to everything what Walter did, the show wouldve been so much different and even boring.

Every show always needs an character that is a always questining villains actions, if everyone wouldve been nonreactive then its not an show anymore.

And if some Skyler hater ever says again that "oh but she made Walter's life more harder when he needed someone to support him" is really stubid argument because there was also other characters that made Walter's life even more harder (like Mike, Gus, Tuco etc) and Skyler even helped Walter on money laundring. After all she wasnt so "bitch mom" like everyone was thinking. It was not her job to hide Walter's crimes but she did it anyway because she still loved Walter deep down somehow even tho she was so done with his shit.

Walter also had someone who supported him and it was Jesse but instead of being gratefull of that, he many times backstabbed Jesse like the scene where Jesse wanted to "go karts" with Walter but he said "no" to it.

Yes ofc I’ve got such a soft spot for Heather so I’m super excited to write this!! Going to be writing this for world tour since I believe that to be her peak season.

Getting to know Heather through challenges is a tricky thing, that’s for sure.

Even harder yet is trying to get her to trust you throughout the filming of world tour.

But you’re nothing if not persistent.

You spend a lot of time earn her trust during the down time of the show, the stuff that seemed so boring the camera crew fell asleep. Flights between continents, waiting for the plane to refuel. All of that.

If you didn’t know her, you might mistake her softness for hatred, but that was her competitive side talking.

She doesn’t trust you yet, she wants to make sure you’re not doing this to gain, and even after everything you do time and time again she’s never fully convinced.

I also think it would be hard to tell wether or not things were ever really official for the two of you, she’s not a “wear my heart of my sleeve” kind of person. Especially when it might cost her the win, worse yet a million dollars.

But there is definitely a tenderness there for you that she doesn’t harbor for anyone else, not even Alejandro.

He tries time and time again to vote you out, he tries to rally the whole team against you in any sneaky, conniving way he possibly can.

But all of his attempts seem to fall flat. You can read it plain as day, you simply just being is driving him insane.

Heather pretends not to notice but she’s not stupid, not even close. She sort of likes it, having all the guys gunning for her.

Unfortunately in the end it’s her wrong doings that affect you the most.

Through backstabbing and lying, and cheating, Heather gets through another challenge and wins safety.

The cast is not happy with her (not that they ever are) but know they can’t vote out her.

So in a last ditch effort to make Heather falter it’s you who’s taking the drop of shame tonight.

You take one final look as you hold your parachute in hand and for once Heather looks shocked, guilty even if you know where to look.

“I just want to say-“ you don’t get to finish the thought before Chris steps in between the two of you.

“Eh eh- sappy goodbyes are bad for ratings, Caphice?” And with one final chuckle you’re sent out of the plane.

Later that night Heather goes to the confessionals sighing as she sits down.

discliamer since i havent really done that for these kinds of posts and i feel like this one is worded in a more demanding way than i usually do: any post of mine regarding what the ccs "should" do is less me actually wanting them to do what i say and more me speculating on the kinds of actions that they could take, not cause i think im smart or tactical or anything but because this is my idea of what fun is

im watching the tower vod rn and i think the only real way to deal with minute and jumper at this point in the server is to. not

like it probs wont be satisfying to the PlayersTM considering the kind of ppl they are (proactive, confrontational, plays along with the spirit of the server, self-focused morals) but considering the kind of ppl minute and jumper are (reactive, avoidant, prioritizes survival even if it means not great content, normative morals) i think its the only real way to engage with them when it comes to this kind of recursive conflict

like everytime they confront one another it keeps circling back to this moral debate regarding the ethics of killing ppl on fucking Lifesteal of all things and i highly doubt its ever gonna stop (at least for this season) considering none of the new members have really been traumatized the lifesteal way, i dont mean regular smp trauma like war and betrayal and all that jazz cause theyve already got that, i mean Lifesteal trauma: the realization that everything is a cycle, that good and evil doesnt matter, that feeling of hope shattering over and over again, that realization that in the grand scheme of things your ideals dont matter and the only thing you can truly hope for in the server are teammates and allies that wont backstab you, and that even then thats a tall order

so back to Not dealing with jumpertech, i dont mean forgetting what they did, i mean actively avoiding them, acting irrationally scared of them even when theyre being civil, fully putting them in the role of big scary villains, basically still putting what they did at the very forefront but acting like its an insurmountable trauma, planting doubt in their status as heroes, continually being the aggressors just cements in their minds that yes they are the heroes and that yes they are doing the good things

like whether the PlayersTM like it or not this is an unstoppable force vs immovable object kind of situation except the unstoppable force has more to lose by virtue of having a goal that can easily be tided by the immovable object

and i do think they can pull it off, they can lose a fight and lose so much that it breaks their spirit, like jumpertech have both been in kings, they both know how determined at least zam and mapicc are, surely it would be really offputting to see someone youre so used to seeing never giving up to do just that

Ive been thiking a little about some things:

1.- I dont remember if one of the Rules of Prismo's Wishroom was that you have to arrive on your own to get a wish or you could be invited, but even if thats the case they could still have Farmworld's Enchiridion (because here there is no backstabbing that ends with the book destroyed) to open a portal so Simon gets his wish the right way.

2.- Talking about Farmworld, I cant imagine how Finn, who has been living with a magical snow mom for a couple of months/years by now, would react to seeing a magical ice version of himself in Crossover.

3.- Continuing with Farmworld, we assume that both that and the regular timeline advance at the same time, so if they go into the multiversal adventure with Finn still being a Teenager, that would mean that Farmworld Finn would also be a Teenager when they arrive. But that could open another story, maybe they find him after his parents and brother died/left for some reason and he is on his own with normal Jake and Bartram, maybe when he meets his future wife AKA Huntress Wizard.

4.- If you think about it regular Marceline its indeed stronger than the Star we saw on canon because while the Star has the powers of all the Vampire Council, Marceline has that +VK pure vampire soul. Also idea, this Star was raised by The Empress instead of the VK, because she was the one who wanted to create an Empire on Stakes and in this AU maybe she trained Marceline to take down VK and get the throne. Also that opens the chance to have Betty saying "Empress! You're a bad Mother!"

I don’t think it’s ever specified if you have to arrive naturally or if you can be invited when it comes to making a wish — the only rule I remember (and there may be others that I forgot, so feel free to correct me if I’m wrong) is that you can only have one wish per person. as far as I know, Magic Simon should be able to make his wish when he’s first invited to the wish cube in order to explain the Snow Queen situation. however, if you do have to get there naturally and you can’t be invited if you’re making a wish, he’d probably just tell Finn, Jake, and Marceline what he was doing so they could help him collect the jewels and open the portal with their own enchiridion.

2. Finn would probably be very weirded out by Ice Finn, and it would also make him consider the whole Snow Queen situation even more. He sees this version of himself who’s absolutely destroyed by the crown, and then he turns around and sees his mom, who’s just… kinda senile and obsessed with her husband. I feel like that’s gotta mess him up, to know that the crown that made Betty obsess over Simon, also turned Finn into a monster in a different reality. if he talks to Snow Betty about it later, she’ll probably be able to explain the way the crown corrupts and what she was like at the start, as well as Ice Finn’s motivations for doing what he’s doing (because it’s not purely malicious, Ice Finn clearly talks about keeping everyone safe with his ice and trying to protect them), but that will be have to come later since they’re pretty busy avoiding the interdimensional cops when the two Finns meet.

3. you are right, and I actually didn’t consider that before, but I definitely should have. in that case, Farmworld Finn probably still has his wife (could be Huntress Wizard, Phoebe, or even Rosalinen from the Puhoy episode) and might have already had Jay, maybe? but probably none of the either children, and Jay would still be a baby, as would Little Destiny. I think Magic Simon and Snow Betty & co would probably still follow someone out to the crater, but in this case it’s more likely to be Farmworld Finn showing them that the crown is already destroyed, at which point they find the Jewel and decide to use it to find another version of the crown, and then Scarab shows up and they gotta book it real fast. Magic Simon may be way more powerful than he has any right to be, but nobody wants to risk him or anyone else getting put in one of those eggs if Scarab manages to hit them at the right moment. Farmworld Finn runs as soon as Scarab arrives, specifically because the Ooo gang told him to and because Magic Simon immediately started having a wizard showdown, and Farmworld Finn ain’t getting involved in wiz biz.

4. you’re RIGHT, she IS! and you’re also right about the Empress probably being the one to take a front role in raising her, because it seems like the VK is definitely following Empress’s plans here. Snow Betty would definitely yell at her and probably chuck a rock at her head, which I doubt would do anything but it would certainly make Snow Betty feel better. Marceline and the Star also get to have a showdown while Vampworld Bonnie watches and realises that maybe perhaps she has a bit of a crush on this alternate Marceline. just a small one. maybe actually a really big one. regardless, I think that VK is still the one with the crown and is ‘in charge’ of the empire, but he’s a little senile and it’s really Empress pulling the strings and mildly grooming the Star as her replacement if she or VK ever falls.

I dont really feel comfortable writing reader as backstabbing bc i feel like 90% of the time they'll hate reader and i dont want ppl to feel hated. However i will have reader have an unnamed lover they leave for the characters you asked for. For something at least, sorry if its not quite what you wanted. But im not about writing xreaders for the sake of drama with no resolution

Reader dumps ex for true love

Fujin:

Fujin was mesmerized by your personality, the more he saw you the more he wanted to get to know you. Your voice was his favorite melody. Alas, you were already in a relationship. Fujin did not mean to pry, but he would be lying if he said he didn't have underlying jealousy.

You break up willingly: you just clicked with the wind god so naturally, you forgot your previous lover entirely. You felt wanted and adored by someone who willingly wanted to get to know not only you, but what you cared about, how you saw the world. You couldn't believe a god was interested in such an average mortal, let alone feel like he was interested in becoming more than friends. When you brought up your disinterest of your previous lover, fujin tried to give sound advice and avoided giving into making himself look better. After all, free will is important. And you willingly wanted to make the decision to break up, and then suggested in the same sentence that you would be available again. Giving fujin the strong desire to sweep you off your feet then and there.

You are "convinced": fujin knew that you ultimately needed to make the final decision in your relationship, but you seemed far too reluctant to give up your clearly failing relationship. Fujin gives similar advice to how he normally would, except maybe with slight bias in his favor. Hinting that maybe you should be with someone who wants to be a part of your life and get to know you for everything that you are, and still want to stay. His voice is as sweet as a warm breeze and you can't help but agree, he's a better boyfriend. And he's also a god so, can't beat that even if you tried.

Kung lao:

You had him at "hello". Quite literally as he was far more smitten by your actions. Kind, strong, passionate. Kung lao could go on for hours about every little thing he came to know about you. He flirted a bit, and that's how he realized you were already taken.

You break up willingly: there was something about this monk you couldn't quite place, he was stoic at times but when he moved he flowed with a different kind of fire you saw in Liu kang. Something sharp, something direct, something wreckless. Regardless, despite kung Lao's pride in his honor making him slightly arrogant, it was charming how dedicated he truly was. And you needed someone who was dedicated, and honest. Your previous lover didn't exactly deliver on that, so you decided to break up with them and try your chances with kung lao. And you certainly didn't regret it.

You are "convinced": kung lao could see that you clearly weren't happy with your relationship. It wasn't his business, but he couldn't stand to see you unhappy and unfulfilled. Kung lao took no quarter in telling you what was wrong in your relationship when you had a moment of doubt in your relationship. Kung lao is precise in more than throwing his hat and fists, he points out everything wrong and why you're unhappy and even things you didn't realize. Kung lao is so pent up that he forgets he originally had the idea to make himself a viable partner, his sense of justice and fairness overrode his selfishness. But it did work in admitting in dumping your lover immediately and declaring you're single now. Kung lao is mentally kicking himself that he didn't ask you out right then and there and runs after you

Shao Kahn:

There is one solid fact that everyone in outworld knows, what the emperor wants, he will get. Of course he is no mere average brute, he is masterful at tactics in war, and in persuasion. The fact that you already had a lover was of little concern for shao kahn.

You break up willingly: you weighed the options and it was far too obvious a choice, shao kahn had power. He had charisma, he laid opportunities at the small cost of loyalty and dignity. Far better an arrangement than your previous lover. You willingly give your whole allegiance to this man, and shao kahn could not be more pleased. He gave you the promise of ruling by his side, but just being in love with such a powerful man was reward enough in itself.

You are "convinced": now, shao kahn had plenty of options here. Simply kill your lover and take whats his the "old fashioned way" of conquering. Instill doubt and give ultimatums about your relationship with your lover. The hardest part for shao kahn with this was the approach, he wanted to make sure you had no hate in your heart for him, at least enough that you wouldn't betray him given the chance. Regardless of what shao Kahn does, you end up agreeing having him as your new lover now. Whether you enjoy it or not, at least in admitting you love it anyways.

Kano:

Kano had his fair share of "lovers" all of varying degrees of "closeness". However, something was just so special about you that kano wondered if that whole soulmate thing was real. Just enough sweet and spice and everything messy to grab his full attention. Of course he was disappointed in you already taken, more so that there was an obstacle in the way of his beautiful prize.

You break up willingly: you had enough playing by the rules, more specifically your previous lover's rules. You were sick of walking on eggshells and wanted someone who could just not care about what others think and what you wanted to do. You had so much pent up that when you met kano, you wanted to hire him to take care of them. However, a better opportunity presented itself when kano barely suggested that you break up with him. You already made up your mind and told him that you were history now. Kano was taken aback but glad he didn't have to work so hard to earn your love. Now it was all a matter of keeping it, for kano this was the hardest part.

You are "convinced": first order of business is sweet talking you regardless of relationship status. Kano would simply make a deal sweeter than what you would have already. Any sort of doubt and kano would be very "persuasive" about it. But kano backed off when usually he would get out the more aggressive tactics. Something about you made it worth working against the tides. Of course kano is going to fight with your previous lover one way or another. To show off, but also kano had a feeling that felt rare for a baddie like him. That he felt dishonored that your lover made you unhappy, and he wasn't about to have that. Either way your lover defended you poorly and kano actually apologized for the mess, gaining favor with you. Kano thought that this was a "pain in the ass" but it was worth seeing you smile with relief. Prettier than any jewel in any realm, kano thinks.

I HAVE COMPLETED ALL OF THE STARTING CLASS QUESTLINES IN FFXIV, SO HERES AN OFF THE CUFF COMPARISON OF THE STARTING CLASSES

this will all be subject to opinion of course, but idk i wanna do it.

starting with, how do each of the starting classes play before you upgrade to the proper jobs?

not well on the whole if im being honest. i dont think any one of the classes stand out in the below 30 range, a consequence of being the basic building blocks of the game but still. from best to worst

1 pugilist: its fast, it hits hard, its gimmick is easy to grasp, and it gives you a good collection of tools to easily slip in to how people generally play this insane game. the only bit i have a problem with would be steel peak and the chakra gauge, as steel peak feels pretty useless at the pugilist level [it hits slightly harder then a normal hit, but your basic combo is just better in every way then the set up it needs].

2 lancer: rather plain missionary as far as a dps class goes, though i feel thats to its benefit in many ways as its real simple to figure out and use. plus javelins are a nice poking tool as everyone charges recklessly ahead. what brings the class down somewhat is that it has no aoe before dragoon and that it feels sluggish compared to something like pugilist. hit sound effect is deliciously cronchy though.

3 archer: pretty much everything you'd realistically want from the class honestly, it feels a bit sluggish at the start but when ya unlock the aoe shooting the class quickly becomes one of the best for handling large groups of enemies. its solid all around if somewhat unexciting at times sitting in the back shooting arrows.

4 marauder/gladiator: putting them together because they play exactly the bloody same below 30. thankfully despite the worry i had going into a tanking class, i found myself rather enjoying the kit. the most difference between the two i'll note is that marauder is more aggressive well gladiator is more reactive as far as tanking goes. but again, at the below 30 level they play exactly the bloody same.

5 rogue: id like this class more if its kit was a bit bigger. like lancer its lacking aoe before upgrade but unlike lancer its kit is way too small to offer much variety in how you approach situations. plus the hide and backstab stuff is only really useful, so far anyways, in story moments or open world cheese. regardless, the class is fast and hits well so its feels exhilarating to use.

6 arcanist: its kinda intimidating when ya first get hold of it, but i find once ya get a grasp on the class its actually one of the more fun ones to play at low level. i feel it hits harder and faster then other magic classes, you can do a lot with it, and getting the rhythm for its use feels real satisfying.

7 conjurer: being a low level healer feels agonizing, your squishy, you cant hit too hard or fast, and the micromanaging feels daunting especially when your first getting used to the class. and when ya get the hang of it, it doesn't feel quite as rewarding as other classes as your generally stuck to the tanks ass, and if your arent stuck to the tanks ass then shits gone horribly wrong. atleast people seem to appreciate you more.

8 thaumaturge: unlike conjurer which was cursed by design as a basic bitch healer, thaumaturge feels awful to play on the whole in my experience. ironically you dont feel like your hitting as hard as the arcanist, your slower, the switching gauge gets annoying, and ya cant really do anything exciting with the class. i dont hate it, but i do think if a new player is starting with it, they'd get a pretty aggravating impression of the game.

and now, onto the stories of the class questlines themselves! again from best to worst

1 rogue: massively benefits from being the late comer. its more extensive, more cinematic, the character writing well not anything extraordinary is still solid overall, and well the quests can be a bit lengthy they do offer interesting things to do.

2 lancer: gets to rest at the top of the pile less because of anything specific it does and more so because of how it stands out. the only class quest line that functions as an honest to god tragedy/parable/whatever ya wanna call it which elevates it otherwise smaller nature compared to other class quests. i dont feel foulques is actually all that interesting of a character, and if another starting class questline took a similar approach as the lancer quests then i feel he'd be far less memorable [as hes just kinda a self important ass at the end of the day, despite his tragic backstory]. Still, in the lancer quests case, simplicity is elegance in that the quests are straightforward and the story direct in its impact. inelegant definitely. unique, definitely.

3 conjurer: its okay. doesn't trip over itself, says what it wants to say, and has you doing things that arent too much of a hassle. i really like its ending scene too where... conjurer girl finally properly connects with the nature magic vibes for the first time, and remarks on how much more alive everything now feels. its euphoric in a way, and makes the process of getting to the end refreshing.

4 pugilist: dumb but in a fun way, the quest stories for pugilist dont take themselves too seriously and just have fun with what they're doing and in that sense it makes the pugilist quests a lot more fun then i think they would be otherwise. its not a gutbuster, but its intentional comedy that lands which is to its favour. some of the quests themselves can be kinda annoying to do though.

5 archer: kinda bland and it trips over itself getting to the end. i like what its trying to do, taking two characters who follow diametric beliefs about archery and who get at each others throats, only to come together in the end to emphasize the benefits of cooperation, cultural exchanges and crosses, and to tie to archeries literal history within gridanias context. elezen dudes a bit too prickly though without getting enough redressing on the matter, miqo'te girl is underwritten which makes her struggles not land with as much weight as they should, and i feel the plot takes such a sharp turn into the poacher bandit thing that the ending lands with more of a whimper then a bang. plus the quests themselves can be rather annoying. still, it was trying to do something interesting and didn't completely fail in that regard.

6 gladiator: i like some of the character dynamics at play and the quests dont suck. the story is too ambitious for its actual runtime though, so everything feels rushed and underwritten, and theres nothing really at play here that connects too deeply to what it means to be a ffxiv gladiator either in terms of themes, setting or even just on a functional gameplay level like all of the above classes. those characters are the only thing holdin it at 6 really.

7 arcanist: im not a big fan on glasses characters so a story heavily featuring them and generic genius academic type characters who prattle on about statistics and probability or what not... well that wasn't gonna be a slam dunk for me. the plot for these ones also just feels meandering, and like the archer plot it takes a hard swerve into the new thing it introduces at the tail end to its own detriment, only even more so. at the end of the day im just not sure what they were trying to do here overall. plus some of the quests are kinda a pain to complete.

8 marauder: boooooooooring. not only is the story a drag, but its characters are not interesting in the slightest save for like... one joke about marauders not being good at subtly. plus its difficult to have a story where your antagonistic force is a monsterous animal that doesnt speak human, unless you really well characterize the monster or have good characters on the side. and the marauder quests dont do either of these. finally what doesn't help is that the quests themselves are kinda boring to play.

9 thaumaturge: this one legit pisses me off, and it has everything to do with the story and nothing to do with the characters. im not a big fan of the characters mind, but they're fine. whats happening though in terms of character actions and plot movement is just stupid though, especially that damn jar with the devil in it. and to top it off, the ending feels anti climatic as fuck! the one brother well possessed goes around killing at least a dozen people, yet theres no remark on the matter after the possession and the intended theme to be take away from all this is "believe in yourself :)". fuck this questline.

funnily enough, i think nightmare likes the smarmy, charismatic bastard that the first killer is, even his backstabbing tendencies. he might be disobedient, but nightmare enjoys the challenge of controlling an unknown chaotic force. the thing that nightmare hates isn't necessarily anything wrong with killer himself - it's the fact that he loses killer to color. misery doesn't hate company - it loves company because it doesn't want to think about its own misery. color is the sore point of nightmare's ideology against goodness in the world. if killer can be redeemed, then what does that say about nightmare?

so i think nightmare will try to foster a hostile environment and relationship with each killer he obtains. he wants killer to hate him but unable to leave. he wants them to disobey him, so he can punish them. if they try to run away from him, well, he'll just break their limbs and let them survive on their own until they can be useful again. i imagine nightmare desires to recreate his relationship with the first killer so bad, because he wants to win this time. he wants to change what happened, to prove that he is right and killer (and he) is unable to find redemption or salvation in the end.

Actually, funny enough, this is often how I picture the relationship killer has with the Chara in his head. The one here to provide direction when hes lost and has no one else or anywhere to go sure, but also the one keeping him in line. the one encouraging him to get worse. taunting him whenever he goes into stage 4 just like in the comics—“haha. its getting worse sans.”

taunting killer anytime he tries to do something “good”—attempting to squash any hope he may have of a better life or trying to change with “you dont want another bad ending do you?” “you dont want another reset, right?”

i often like to headcanon that something new Chara is a Chara that lost their way and fell so badly down the rabbit hole they didnt see anyway out. and eventually they stopped trying to get out and instead starting pulling anyone they could their hands on down with them (sans), and started pushing and pulling him back down anytime he tried to crawl out or expressed any desires to.

imagine if the chara in the head starts parroting every single word nightmare says to killer, or nightmare starts sounding more and more and more like the chara in his head that killer eventually starts becoming convinced that nightmare can read his mind or speak to him in his mind through chara. or that chara is speaking to him through nightmare. wonder how thatll play out in both his relationship with nightmare and how itll effect his stages.

At first, I was happy at how things changed and you know? reader's happy and everyone happy.. But the thing that i didn't like, is leaving the kingdom after all that.. All that mess, all that suffering.. and the brutal backstabs only for reader to go out again?.. that kinda hit me in the guts.. I know that reader is trying to be benovelent and kind or had that kind of nature just not showing it in the past, but thats to much.. Reader see themself to the new outsider but that is to much to just leave.. leave so imeadiately after months of just staying... Meeting an outsider you just mer and go out of the kingdom that you tried so hard to protect, to be apart off, to be near her... to be her subjects also? its just hurt to leave yk.. I dont know.. im sorry if my feedback hurts you :(

and another one that is the most positive thing i want to say.. Reader having the time to talk to Her Radiance about what they wanted and how grateful they are.. makes me so happy that they can say anything that they wanted deep down without getting shame and timid. It made me a little emotional yk?... Its been months and all that waiting.. I didn't knew time pass so quickly that its reaching its end so quickly.. Golden cheese is very confident as always, but more loving and touching then the pass chapters.. Makes me wonder what it feels to get hug by her light and everything... Her hugs are warmth maybe?.. makes you feel like you're in cloud9 and feel so loved.. Im happy that i get to even read near the end of the story, that you even continue to write it..

I Remember your notes after all, that you just want to give up, tired.. exhausted because of the long plot you have to do.. and i appreciate that, i reallly do, you dedication of the things that you want in your story that you want it to be perfect.. I keep remembering and being worried, maybe she isnt feeling so good right now, maybe i should ask about her health and talk about a month break.. yeah i was the anon who asked you to take a break because i was getting worried that you were exhausting yourself just for us.. But im happy you aren't and was taking a break!...
